Hey. As you know, it is still Black History Month. So I'm starting the pot off. I'm sorry, yo. That's going to be like.
Az Fudd (2:07)
Yes, the COVID picture.
Unidentified Female Host (2:09)
The COVID picture. So I want to start us off with our Black History month fact. In 1959, a nine year old boy was in the library. It was a segregated library in Lake City, South Carolina. And in this library he wanted to check out some books or whatever. And they wouldn't let him, obviously because he was black. And it became like a whole whoop dee doo. And the police came, all these other things happened. That young boy ended up being able to check out those books. But later on he ended up with a PhD for MIT. He was a physicist, he did martial arts, he was a saxophonist and ended up being a NASA astronaut. In 1984, he flew on the space shuttle Challenger and became only the second black American in space.
