Az Fudd
Hey, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of FUD around and find out. I'm here with my girl Ashanti. Hey, Ashanti.
Ashanti Plummer
Hi. How you doing, girl?
Az Fudd
I'm great.
Ashanti Plummer
How are you? I'm good. I'm really excited to do this episode. It almost feels like I haven't seen you in forever, even though I just saw you.
Pluvicto Advertisement Voice
But.
Ashanti Plummer
But I'm really glad to get into it. We love a good solo epi, so I'm ready.
Az Fudd
Yeah, me too. We've got lots to catch up on for sure.
Ashanti Plummer
One, how was your Thanksgiving? How was your holidays?
Az Fudd
My Thanksgiving was actually pretty good. It was chill. I haven't had a thing like a real Thanksgiving home cooked meal since my freshman year. I went to Caroline's and so this year I went to Sarah Strong's mom's place in Boston. So that was fun. It was me, kk, Sarah, Ice. It was chill. We got there probably eight within an hour. I think we were there for maybe two hours. We got there, her mom was finishing warming things up, like putting everything out. We ate, packed to go boxes and Sarah was like, all right, see ya. And we left.
Ashanti Plummer
First of all, the fact that Thanksgiving started and you got to eat within an hour, Be there an hour. Like, shout out to Sarah Strong's mom. Cause let me tell you something, my family, you will starve the whole day. The whole day. And then when the sun sets, that's when we get to eat.
Az Fudd
So.
Ashanti Plummer
Must be nice.
Az Fudd
No? Her mom and her grandma went to work. I'm not eating sugar. And they made homemade pies. And I was like, I have to break it for this. They made pecan pie, sweet potato pie, and apple pie. And it was my first time having sweet potato pie, so. Good. First time. Yeah. Listen, I'm working on my black side, okay? It took me 23 years to hear it.
Ashanti Plummer
Nah, nah, nah. Sometimes. Listen, some black people don't like sweet potato pie, but it was the fact time it was the first time you tried it. That's why I'm shook. Like, it's definitely one of my favorites. And I'm pretty sure, like a famous singer came out with some sweet potato pie. I can't remember her name at this moment, we're going to pop a picture up or something. But. And that was good, too. And my mom and my grandma, they also go to work. But this Thanksgiving, I didn't even go hang out at their house for long. I went to see my other family. I went down to Memphis.
Az Fudd
Okay, okay.
Ashanti Plummer
It's like a Thanksgiving tour. I stopped in, got me a little plate, and then the next day flew out to Memphis. But, yeah, Thanksgiving was good travels. The airport actually wasn't as crazy, thank goodness. But it was good to see family and to eat good. I'm still shook on. This is your first time trying it. I low key. I'm like, when you're done with the season of not eating sugar, we gotta go on a sweet treat tour.
Az Fudd
But it's like I don't really crave it anymore. Like, there's so many cleaner substitutes that I can eat without feeling bad afterwards.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah, okay. How about a healthy sweet treat tour?
Az Fudd
Yeah.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, good. That's gonna be new for me too, because I'm still stuck on your cottage cheese cookies, girl. Okay.
Az Fudd
Those weren't the best, but I've made some things. I've made some things since that are pretty good.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, my goodness.
Az Fudd
Wait, so what's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Ashanti Plummer
Ooh, Baked macaroni and cheese. Hands down. Baked macaroni and cheese. The recipe's been passed down in my family. I still haven't been blessed with the golden gloves to make it for the family yet.
Az Fudd
I was gonna ask if you can make me some, but nevermind.
Ashanti Plummer
Wait, wait. I can do it with assistance. I'll FaceTime. Mommy and I will figure out, but absolutely, it's not exactly, like, the healthiest. So I'll probably hook you up with that after the season or something. Okay, for sure. What about you? What's your favorite?
Az Fudd
Usually my mom's sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole. But this year I was really just looking forward to having some greens. I haven't had greens in so long.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah, Sarah's grandma made greens.
Az Fudd
Yeah. Delicious.
Ashanti Plummer
Sarah Strong household. We accept food deliveries.
Az Fudd
Do you hear?
Ashanti Plummer
We accept food deliveries at this house.
Az Fudd
Okay.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay. So you got to go with Sarah Strong and her family. Does the team do anything specific to celebrate the holidays together this year?
Az Fudd
We didn't usually we're like, the last couple years, we've been on a trip and playing games on Thanksgiving. So we eat hotel food. Sometimes we'll go to a restaurant and eat restaurant Thanksgiving food, which is just never the same. But this year, everyone Had a place to go, either went to Sarah's or to Caroline's, which was really nice that everyone got some home cooked food and got to be with people they love. Aw.
Ashanti Plummer
I love that. That's good. You don't get a lot of time to spend with your family on holidays, especially your team, the way you guys been traveling and playing back to back to back. So that's really nice that you guys got to do this and you got to do this especially in your last year. So, Ms. Ma', am, you are juggling finals with playing at a very high level. What's that been like?
Az Fudd
It's hiring and it really hasn't been that bad. So I'm in grad school, and so it's a lot. It's more so projects and papers, and a lot of it is group work. And so right now, let's see, this is finals week for everyone else. Right now I have one final, and it's. My classes are online, so it's a open note final, but it's 19 pages of questions with, like, case studies and, like, different websites and articles to read. And I'm like, 19. We just had a whole semester. Like, what? The professor's going through the instructions and questions for the exam, making sure we got everything under we understand everything. And one of the guys in my class is like, professor, this reminds me of the exam I had to take when I was working to get my PhD. I'm like, that's a sign that this is not okay. Yeah, help not. Oh, yeah. So I have that and then a group paper, and then I'm done.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, nice. Almost there. So do the coaches. Are the coaches, like, involved? Or do you guys have, like, advisors who make sure you guys stay on track? Because I can't. I mean, I remember juggling both back in the day. And we had advisors who were on our boat. Like, on our butts. I was gonna say something completely different, but on our behinds, making sure things get done. Do they give you, like, a little bit of autonomy? Like, you're an adult now. Get it done. Or are they checking in?
Az Fudd
So we have an academic advisor. Her name is Ellen. She is the best. She, like, she oversees a lot of stuff, but she works with our team specifically. And so she's the one that makes sure, like freshmen, you have mandatory study hall, like, I think five or six times a week.
Ashanti Plummer
Don't miss that.
Az Fudd
She comes with us on trips. You've got study hall on the way, trips in the hotel. But then as you're older, as you Prove that you're responsible, mature, can get good grades on your own. Then you don't always have to go on those away trip study hall sessions. And she, you definitely, if I have any tips, make sure you're on your academic advisor's good side, because you have just during the season, there's so much going on with traveling, missing classes, having to change. Like, are there missing assignments or missing, like, exams that you have to make up. Making sure that your, your academic advisor likes you is key because you're the ones that are communicating. Helping you communicate with your professors and making sure you've got everything under control. So Ellen has helped me a ton these last four years.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, shout out to Ellen, because if you don't get good grades, you can't play.
Az Fudd
Yes. But she. If you need that kick in your behind, she will give it to you. Okay.
Ashanti Plummer
Come on, Ellen. All right, so let's talk more about holiday plans. I know we talked a little bit, like, usually the team gets together, but does the team have any, like, holiday specific traditions?
Az Fudd
No. I'm gonna try to play Secret Santa with the team this year. I'm gonna bring it up. Actually, I'm not sure if I'm even gonna, like, bring it up as, like, an option. I think I might just send it in the group chat and be like, hey, we're doing this. I'm sending out, like, we're putting everyone's name in, like, a random name generator. And we're playing Secret Santa. Yes. Cause I really want to. I really, really want to. It's my last time to do it, and why not?
Ashanti Plummer
And it's cute and it's fun. It's gonna be hilarious. Actually, you should really record the gifts that everyone gets, because I know that's gonna be comedy. All right, what's your favorite Christmas movie?
Az Fudd
My top two are Elf and the Grinch.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, I have an elf.
Az Fudd
I mean, a Grinch sweater thing on.
Ashanti Plummer
Look at you representing Yo. Wait, look at my outfit. I'm in Christmas. Come on, let me see.
Az Fudd
Yes.
Ashanti Plummer
Pajamas. Are you gonna do matching pajamas with the team? That'd be cute.
Az Fudd
That would be cute.
Ashanti Plummer
And you can give your gifts.
Az Fudd
I'm gonna do that with my roommates. But maybe, well, maybe I'll let the.
Ashanti Plummer
Whole team in on it, offer it, and then definitely do it with the roommates. And if the rest of the team wants to join, that's a plus. That's so cute. Do, like, a little holiday card. I'm pretty sure your. Your families would appreciate that.
Az Fudd
They definitely would. Did you have any traditions with your team?
Ashanti Plummer
We just made sure that if we weren't home, like if we weren't home with our families, that we did one big meal together. And I love that that was for any holiday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, even New Year's, we would spend together. So our tradition was to make sure we had a team meal. And usually the seniors or the best cook would chef it up and we would squeeze all into our tiny little apartment and just have a good time. That was the best tradition.
Az Fudd
That's sweet.
Ashanti Plummer
That was a good time. And matching pajamas.
Az Fudd
Woo.
Ashanti Plummer
So cute. Love it.
Az Fudd
I love it. That's a family tradition we do is not always matching, but we always do Christmas. Usually matching Christmas pajamas. Cute.
Ashanti Plummer
I'mma be waiting on that picture. Tell Katie, what's your favorite Christmas song?
Az Fudd
Ooh, what's it called?
Ashanti Plummer
I'm Easy.
Az Fudd
It's with. Okay, what's yours?
Ashanti Plummer
All I want for Christmas is you. Y' all better play music over that.
Az Fudd
That's crazy.
Ashanti Plummer
Tell to me we gotta play music over that.
Az Fudd
What Christmas means to me. That's what it is.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, how'd I go?
Az Fudd
No, not with my voice.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm just. I'm sure I don't know the melody of that one.
Az Fudd
You know that song?
Ashanti Plummer
Me, me, me, me, me. Let me hear a little 1, 2, 1, 2. Wow. You're not gonna sing? It's okay. I'll find it. I'll look it up.
Az Fudd
Oh, I'm embarrassed. I'm not a good singer. And then my voice sounds even worse.
Ashanti Plummer
We'll put auto tune on it. It's okay. You don't have to.
Az Fudd
I thought about it, but I'm not going to. I was like, yelling it in the shower the other day, so whoever was showering at the same time as me definitely heard it when we were in the gym. That wasn't with anyone.
Pluvicto Advertisement Voice
No, no, no.
Ashanti Plummer
I didn't even think that I was thinking about the person who was here. I'm crying.
Az Fudd
I think it was Kelis in there with me. I'm.
Ashanti Plummer
She ain't got no room to talk because I know her. She definitely gives singing in the shower energy.
Az Fudd
She gives singing, yelling 247 energy. So.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, my gosh. She gonna say we sending shots to her once again and are. Oh, not and is. All right, let's pivot. So, Az, your Madison Reed internship is coming up.
Az Fudd
I'm excited. Well, first I'm excited to not have school for like a month, and then I'm excited for this internship with Madison Reed. I mean, we've talked a Little bit about what it entails, but it's like, I've never done this before. They've never done this before. So I'm excited to see what. What's really gonna happen with this internship. Like, what I. What I get to do, what I get to learn, what I get to be a part of. So I think it's gonna be super cool.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah. I mean, I really wonder what that looks like. You know what I mean? Is there anything specific that you're looking forward to learning? I know you want to be in, like, close proximity because you respect her as a businesswoman, but is there anything in particular you really want to learn?
Az Fudd
Yeah, no, I think Amy's incredible, but I don't really know. I think I'm just excited to see, like, to be on some calls, to be. Just to hear some people, just to see. I don't know. I feel like taking classes. Like, I went from my undergrad. I did communications, and then with, like, no, I took one, like, finance ish class, and I was like, oh, I'm gonna get my master's in business. Not knowing anything about business, where everyone around me is. Has been working for, like, three to 20 years already, so they can, like, apply what we're learning to real world, to their job, to work where I'm learning this stuff, and I'm like, I don't even. I can't imagine what setting I'd be using this in. Like, I. I understand. Like, this is great stuff to know, but I don't know what industry I want to work in, what I want to do. So to be able to actually, like, kind of carry over some of my. My knowledge from school to a real, Real world job. So, yeah, I'm excited just to learn to be a sponge and see. See what happens. Yeah.
Ashanti Plummer
Is this going to be in person or remote? Meaning, like, in office or.
Az Fudd
Yes. I am doing a remote corporate internship with Madison Reed next semester, and I am so excited. Their closest hair color bar is in Westport, so it's a decent drive, but I'm hoping that I might also get the chance to color someone's hair as a little fun side activity.
Ashanti Plummer
That would be cool. I will gladly put on a wig. I will gladly put on a wig and let you color it.
Az Fudd
Grace let me color your hair.
Ashanti Plummer
Grace is one of our producers. That would be jokes I would love. She will let you. Raleigh, Honestly, she would absolutely let you.

You know what separates the pros from the rest? It's not just talent. It's how you respond when the game gets tough. Do you dig in? You fight back. And when it comes to your your health, that same mindset matters. Yeah, especially if you or someone you care about is facing metastatic prostate cancer. There's a treatment called pluvicto, lutetium LU177 vapivotide tetraxitan. And it's changing the game. Plovicto isn't chemo. It's a different kind of treatment that targets PSMA positive cells, including prostate cancer cells. Plavicto can be used before chemotherapy for some people. Here's the official word. Pluvicto is A prescription treatment used to treat adults with prostate specific membrane antigen positive metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer or PSMA positive MCRPC who have already been treated with hormone therapy and are considered appropriate to delay chemotherapy. Now let's talk safety. Pluvicto involves contact with radioactivity, which may increase the risk for cancer and cause fetal harm. Drink plenty of fluids, urinate often, use contraception, and talk to your doctor about how to reduce the risk of exposing others to radiation during and after treatment. It can also cause low blood cell counts, kidney problems and infertility. Tell your doctor if you notice weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, bleeding or bruising, more easily an infection or changes in urination. Side effects include decreased blood cell counts, tiredness, dry mouth, nausea, appetite loss, joint or back pain, and constipation. Look, every day matters. And if you're in the fight or know someone who is, this is a conversation worth having. Ask your doctor about Plavicto because just like in football, every play, every decision, every second counts. Let'S talk about how you're undefeated. Undefeated. Listen, I know you don't care about these things. Let me care. Let me care. Okay? I'm so excited. I've had the chance to. I mean, if I haven't been in person, I've been watching Keeping up with the Team, and you guys are so fun to watch. Like, I am excited to be rooting for y'.
Pluvicto Alternate Advertisement Voice
All.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm excited to watch y' all play. When some of the games are close, I'm like, oh, my goodness. And then even when you guys are knocking teams out by 30 plus, I'm just. I'm really amazed, honestly. And I've been enjoying every second. I'm like, on my women's college basketball tour right now.
Az Fudd
It is so much fun to have basketball back on, to have things to watch, good games to watch. That has been. Missed it.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah, girl. And this. This is it. So does pressure or momentum build more when a team starts? Like when your team has started undefeated?
Az Fudd
No.
Ashanti Plummer
Meaning, like, do you feel pressure to keep this streak up or do you feel like because you guys are in this. I know winning is like a culture, right? Something you guys have cultivated. So is there a pressure that you feel to keep winning or is kind of like one game at a time?
Az Fudd
It's definitely one game at a time. And I don't think we feel much pressure to, like, keep winning. I think just like the standard and the expectations that we have just within our own building and our own team and with the coaching staff, I don't know, it just keeps us focused on what we need to do to just keep getting better. Like, we are humbled every day in practice. So never do we feel like, oh, we're so good. Like, no, we're humbled every, every time, every time something goes right, it's like, oh, actually that wasn't like you, you thought you did a good job. No, you also messed up here. So we know there's always things we, we can get better on that we need to get better on. So I feel like our focus is really just on getting better and not like, oh my gosh, we're undefeated. Like, that's not, that's not worried about.
Ashanti Plummer
Let, let the fans be excited and worried about that. So in those games when your team is like up quite a few and then you're coming out, like, how does it feel coming out of those games early? Think of it as like, I was gonna say think of it as like, you know, your opportunity to like watch. Cause usually you're in the game playing the whole time.
Az Fudd
I mean, I think the games that were up, it's fun because you get the chance to play with different lineups and then when you get subbed out, you then get the chance to watch the rest of your team play and get to enjoy and cheer them on and celebrate. So that, that is definitely my highlight is getting to cheer them on and you know, celebrate them and support them. But yeah, I guess, yeah.
Ashanti Plummer
So what do you guys do when you guys have a bigger game coming up to like prepare for that?
Az Fudd
Honestly, I'd say our preparation from game to game isn't that different. Like no matter if we play a top ranked opponent or an unranked opponent, our preparation is generally the same. Like maybe in your individual or position pre practice, post practice workouts, you'll do some specific stuff coming for the game coming up. Like whether it's like, oh, like you've got the best, you gotta guard the best player, you gotta work on your defense or super physical, you gotta work on this or they like to run this play. Like we're gonna work on this action or like if they're trapping, we're gonna work on breaking a trap, whatever. Like you do that more so in your like individual stuff. And then in practice we'll do like a general, like I said, if they like to press, we'll work on press break that week. But it's not really, until two days before that. We even really, like, bring. Mention that team, bring that team up, which I kind of like that. No matter what, the focus is really on us making sure that we're prepared, we're doing what we need to, and then it's okay. Now we'll go over some scout stuff for the other team, but as long as we're taking care of ourselves, like, we know we're in good shape. All right.
Ashanti Plummer
Not you giving out the formula for success. That's awesome. Do you feel like, you know, you mentioned before you want to be more of a vocal leader? Do you feel like that's been easier now as the season's been progressing well?
Az Fudd
Has its moments still have a lot of area of growth or a lot of growth in that area? I would say it's gotten better.
Ashanti Plummer
But, yes, I feel like I have noticed you'd be. I feel like I've noticed you'd be a lot more confident in general. Even, like, when you do media and stuff like that, and you're talking and I know we're talking about, like, leading your team vocally, like on court, off court stuff, but just I know that you wanted to work on these things, and I'm, like, seeing it in real time. Like, there's, you know, Coach Gino, he was just like, well, what I'm az. Answering the question. And I'm like, hold on, my girl. Don't even do that no more. She don't even do that no more. She might take a beat. She might take a beat, but she didn't even do that no more. But I hope nobody watches those post.
Az Fudd
Game press conference things so bad.
Ashanti Plummer
We do, but they're interesting. They're interesting. But, yeah, I've seen it feels like. Or what I've watched is you be a lot more confident when you're answering questions and when you're showing up.
Az Fudd
Well, thank you.
Ashanti Plummer
I do.
Az Fudd
I do feel more comfortable. Like I said, I could. I could be better.
Ashanti Plummer
All right, girlie. I know you are really locked in to the season, and that is your number one focus.
Az Fudd
Of course.
Ashanti Plummer
Rankings come out. Mock draft come out. How does it feel to see your name in those kind of things?
Az Fudd
Kind of weird. I've only seen a little bit. I'm not really on. Not really. I'm not on social media. I don't think I've been on Instagram in like, a month.
Ashanti Plummer
That makes sense. I've written you on Instagram.
Az Fudd
Yeah, Yeah, I do. I do want to go on and scroll and just see what's Going on, but it's like, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Yeah, so I haven't, like, it's. I haven't really seen much of anything, but it is weird to think, like, just because I don't see it doesn't mean I don't know what's happening. Yeah, so it is weird. It is crazy to think that that is not at all what my focus is. Like, that is coming up. So it is just crazy. I don't know. It's weird to think about. It's crazy to think about.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm so excited for you. Like, I just wish all the good and great things.
Az Fudd
Thank you.
Ashanti Plummer
And I'm gonna be right there, girl. I'm finna give me a camera and be like, you're doing great, sweetie.
Az Fudd
I already know, honey.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm ready.
Az Fudd
That is. I'm ready.
Ashanti Plummer
Absolutely. So I got the chance to come visit you. This past weekend, Sue Bird had her jersey retired. I mean, whoa. Incredible. So exciting. What was that like for you?
Az Fudd
It was super cool. I mean, so I was there when Swin Cash had her jersey retired, too, and that was really cool. And so then to be there for another. I mean, this is the third women's jersey that's retired. So I've been there now for two, which is crazy to think that I've been super lucky just to have that opportunity to witness that. But, yeah, Sue's amazing. She's an amazing player, but amazing person and amazing role model for all of us. Still is. So to be able to see that, to witness that, to celebrate her and then to score 100 points.
Ashanti Plummer
I was literally gonna say, like, having a ceremony like that.
Az Fudd
Come on.
Ashanti Plummer
Having a ceremony like that and then playing after, like, what does that do to your team? Like, how does that impact your team going out there?
Az Fudd
Well, I mean, first of all, if, you know Subird's in the building, like, you want to play well because Subird's in the building. But then also, like, honoring her. You're like, okay, now we gotta play well. Like, let's go. But, yeah, no, I thought we did have a good game, so it was nice to celebrate her, see her jersey be unveiled. Is that the right word?
Ashanti Plummer
Unveiled?
Az Fudd
Unveiled, Whatever. See her jersey up in the rafters, her jersey banner, whatever it's called. And then perform the way that we did. I thought we had a pretty good. Pretty good team game that day, so it was great. Yes.
Ashanti Plummer
Great way to honor her. Did sue get a chance to address the team at all before the game?
Az Fudd
Uh, no.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, okay.
Az Fudd
How about after, uh, she's in the locker room after. She didn't address the team, but, like, as we came in, she said hi to all of us. We got to say hi to her, Megan, and her nieces, which was nice.
Ashanti Plummer
I know. When she got. I don't know if you caught this, but when she basically asked her niece, like, are you here enjoying this for me? Are you more excited to watch Az play? I cried.
Az Fudd
Yeah. I was like, no way. But her niece was so sweet. So I got to send jersey for her after, and I told her she's got to come back to more games. They live in Connecticut. I was like, I better see you here, and when you come, you better say hi. Now that we're friends. Ooh, I know. That's funny. If she hears this.
Ashanti Plummer
Come on, Niecy Poo. I didn't forget. Pull up, pull up. Oh, man. Okay, so we're gonna pivot a little bit. Talking about training. Where is your focus now that you are? What part of the season would you call this? Still, like, the beginning, you know, before conference, but not like the beginning beginning. So where's your focus with training right now?
Az Fudd
I don't know. I'm currently in a layup slump, so this week I'll be working on my finishing package. You got any tips for me?
Ashanti Plummer
You know what I tell people? When I saw you missed that layup girl, I was like, it's too close. It's too close. My sis need more space between her and the basket. That's why. That's why my tips are. Don't overthink it. You can make a layup, like, period. Don't overthink it. Go up regular. Your body knows the motion. That's my tip, girl. You can make a layup. Thank you. That's it.
Az Fudd
So, yeah, that's my current focus in training finish package.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm crying.
Az Fudd
My two footers.
Ashanti Plummer
Anything from two feet. When you miss layups, I'm like, it was a pass. Where's the.
Az Fudd
I was really going for, like, the alley. Just no one was there.
Ashanti Plummer
That's what it gave. That's what it gave.
Az Fudd
I needed Yana in the game to dunk it for me.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, my goodness. It's okay, girl. You. You won't get it back. So social media, I know you're not on it, but a lot of fans have been going super crazy. You've had a couple viral moments. Oh, no, no, no, no. You good, you good. We're gonna. We're gonna talk through it. So this person's name is Kiko. Kiko. Someone on Twitter was. They said, oh, to be ran over by AZ Fudd. Me personally, I'd be honored. And I'm pretty sure it was the USF game where there's a video of you basically like boom, running through a girl. Do you remember that moment? Listen, she been eating her oats, ladies.
Az Fudd
And gentlemen.
Ashanti Plummer
Literally right now and in life.
Az Fudd
Yes, yes, I remember that. Like, okay, yeah, I was running. So yes, like I ran into her. I'd put my hands there to like slow down. I wasn't just going to like face and chest first, like run into her. I didn't shove her though. Like my hands were there but I wasn't like a two hand push. She just sold it really well. They're just really good floppers, right?
Ashanti Plummer
Anyways, someone else was like fud around and find out. What I thought they were trying to say is like they fudded around. Like old girl fudded around and found out real quick. Another tweet. Yes, girl, I'm gonna read them off. There's like two more. Physicality wise, Az Fudd is going to be able to hold her own in a dub. I can see it now. That's a compliment.
Az Fudd
We love it. That's a compliment. They are very strong.
Ashanti Plummer
Cause yeah, every time I hear about a welcome to the dub moment, it's about either getting their nose busted or getting hit in the gut or some kind of hello, it's me moment. That's true. Another tweet. A sound mind, said Az, continuing to make it seem like none of these other schools have weight rooms on their campuses.
Az Fudd
Oh my gosh. I just, I don't. Yeah, I have no comment. I have no comment.
Ashanti Plummer
No comment is okay. No comment is okay. She pleads the fifth, ladies and gentlemen.
Az Fudd
I do.
Ashanti Plummer
Last one. If Az. If Az apologizes, I'll push her myself because they know you're a sweet princess. So no saying sorry on the court.
Az Fudd
I didn't mean to like push her. She's just in my way.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm crying.

So let me get this straight. Your company has data here, there and everywhere, but your AI can't use the data because it's here, there and everywhere? Seems like something's missing. You know what separates the pros from the rest? It's not just talent. It's how you respond when the game gets tough. Do you dig in? You fight back. And when it comes to your health, that same mindset matters. Yeah, especially if you or someone you care about is facing metastatic prostate cancer. There's a treatment called Pluvicto Lutetium Lou177 vapivitide to Traxitan. And it's changing the game. Plovicto isn't chemo. It's a different kind of treatment that targets psma positive cells, including prostate cancer cells. Plovicto can be used before chemotherapy for some people. Pluvicto involves contact with radioactivity which may increase the risk for cancer and cause fetal harm. Drink plenty of fluids, urinate often, use contraception, and talk to your doctor about how to reduce the risk of exposing others to radiation during and after treatment. It can also cause low blood cell counts, kidney problems, and infertility. Tell your doctor if you notice weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, bleeding or bruising more easily, an infection, or changes in urination. Side effects include decreased blood cell counts, tiredness, dry mouth, nausea, appetite loss, joint or back pain, and constipation. Look, every day matters. And if you're in the fight or know someone who is, this is a conversation worth having. Ask your doctor about Plavicto, because just like in football, every play, every decision, every second counts. Ashanti Plummer
We are moving on to fun and games. The first fun and game we have is our what the FUD of the week. I remembered who makes the sweet potato pies. It was Patti LaBelle. Patti La Patty. She put her soul in that pie. Let me tell you something. When they first dropped, they were getting sold out everywhere. It's so freaking good. Sorry, I really had to share that. And I want you to try it with me.
Az Fudd
Okay, I'll have to try it. I've not even know if I've heard of this person.
Ashanti Plummer
Well, she's funny. You should look up some of her. She. You not knowing who Patty is just. I just. I felt the oldness in my heart just come out. Patti LaBelle.
Az Fudd
Mm. Okay.
Ashanti Plummer
She's hilarious. I think you would like her if you ever watch some of her live videos. She was singing one time and her backup dancers or backup singer. Excuse me, weren't singing the words. And the person who was holding the cards wasn't moving it fast enough. So she's like singing messed up the words and is like, where are my backup singers? Where are my backup singers? Oh, honey. Next card, next card.
Az Fudd
Oh, I've seen her. I've seen her before anyway. I've seen her before.
Ashanti Plummer
Yes.
Az Fudd
I'm telling you her name.
Ashanti Plummer
She's like singing a Christmas song.
Az Fudd
We have to try this fight together.
Ashanti Plummer
Yes, I would love that. So our what? The FUD of the week is definitely Khalees.
Az Fudd
Definitely Kelis. It was Kelis and coach playing one on one and Coach making that like, no looker backwards, whatever. Just flick the ball up and it went in shot.
Ashanti Plummer
I could not believe that. I'm like, girl, first of all, how you gonna miss the layup? You backing down this man. Smoke the layup and then he don't even try when I say caught the ball. No, look, just talk. I'm like, oh.
Az Fudd
I was like.
Ashanti Plummer
When I saw that, I said, this is going to do numbers. This is going to do numbers. I was. That definitely is. That definitely is a what the FUD of the week.
Az Fudd
So what's 40 years of. 41 years of coaching. He doesn't even need to look at the basket.
Ashanti Plummer
Gagged. Like, not the first try. No, look. But yeah, that's our what the FUD of the week. We have a next. Another game. A next game. It is a game very similar to Jeopardy. So it's going to be a little trivia game that our producer, our amazing producer Grace created. So we have three different categories. We have the Yukon Cinematic Universe, which is the old UConn players, UConn undefeated, all of the undefeated streaks, and fut around and find out which is AZ's stats. Each category has an option where you can get either 200, 400, 600, 800, or 1,000 points. Az, you ready?
Az Fudd
Yes, ma'.
Pluvicto Alternate Advertisement Voice
Am.
Ashanti Plummer
All right, which one do you want? What's first?
Az Fudd
I would like UConn undefeated for 200, please.
Ashanti Plummer
Question. UConn owns the two longest winning streaks in college basketball history. What was the longest and second longest streak?
Az Fudd
135 wins.
Ashanti Plummer
And what's the second longest?
Az Fudd
I don't know. I need a former friend. Ashanti, what's the answer? The answer is you better get on Google. That's cheating.
Ashanti Plummer
What's the answer?
Az Fudd
108.
Ashanti Plummer
111 straight wins and 90 straight wins. Darn.
Az Fudd
Womp, womp. I was so close.
Ashanti Plummer
All right, let's see fut around and find out. For 200. Oh, the question says AZ's career high in points this season.
Az Fudd
No.
Ashanti Plummer
Cause. Cause if it's this season, I know it. Ever. 34.
Az Fudd
Ace, I'm not helping you.
Ashanti Plummer
That's crazy. 37.
Az Fudd
Yeah, 32. Ah, man, 34. When did I get 34 points?
Ashanti Plummer
You didn't even get it. Wait, what did I. February 12, 2025 versus St. John's that was last year.
Az Fudd
Huh, I forgot about that.
Ashanti Plummer
All right, what's next?
Az Fudd
All right, I'm feeling good about this one. Let's do the UConn Cinematic Universe for 200.
Ashanti Plummer
This former Husky is the only WNBA player to win championships in three different decades. I'm not helping.
Az Fudd
Is it Super Diana Taurasi?
Ashanti Plummer
No, no.
Az Fudd
Pick one.
Ashanti Plummer
Pick one. Pick one. Is that your final answer?
Az Fudd
Okay, I'm gonna go with sue.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay.
Az Fudd
Okay. 200 points or dollars I'm gonna go.
Ashanti Plummer
Foot around and find out. For 400. Oh my gosh. Okay. AZ's free throw percentage this season.
Az Fudd
Good thing it didn't say my layup percentage.
Ashanti Plummer
100%. Did you miss a free though?
Az Fudd
I don't know. Is that your final answer?
Ashanti Plummer
Yes, that's my final answer. Yes.
Az Fudd
Grace, if layup percentage is on here, we're gonna have beef.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah, girl, that's different. But I mean, year three is in the 50s. It's like 54. I'm like, come on. All right.
Az Fudd
Yukon. Undefeated 400.
Ashanti Plummer
The Huskies have had this many undefeated seasons to date. That's tough.
Az Fudd
Um, five.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm gonna take a guess and say. You saying five or six? I'm saying three.
Az Fudd
Three. I'm gonna say five. Six. Ugh. Ooh.
Ashanti Plummer
Not both. Wrong. No, no. She don't get half. She gets zero. Final answer was five. I'm gonna do the UConn Cinematic Universe for 400. This former Husky was the first female basketball player assigned to Jordan Brand in 2011. Maya Moore. Yes.
Az Fudd
That was an easy one. Woo.
Ashanti Plummer
I didn't know what year.
Az Fudd
Oh shook UConn Cinematic Universe for a thousand.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, big money. This former Husky has a longer wingspan than LeBron. That's easy. And if you get a guess, then I'm guessing.
Az Fudd
Brianna Stewart.
Ashanti Plummer
Yes. Yes.
Az Fudd
Phew. I'm winning now.
Ashanti Plummer
Hmm. Okay, winner. All right, Put around and find out. A thousand. Az, is this percent away from having a 50, 50, 100 split on three point field goals and free throws? Ooh. What percent away? It's the field goals that I don't know. Layups. There's a field go. This is updated. I need to make sure the facts are being checked. Az, is this percent away? Like 4%? Is it worse than that? Girl? What is it given like 10%?
Az Fudd
I have no idea.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, 10%.
Az Fudd
I don't know. Whatever it is.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, I should have. Wait, time out. This is crazy. It says 0.4%. Oh, wow. Girl, you talking about this. Hold on. Timeout. Did y' all cat count the last game?
Az Fudd
Wait, so what is below my normal field goal percentage? Right.
Ashanti Plummer
Right. Let's look this up and see. Oh my gosh. That's amazing.
Capital One Announcer
How's that?
Ashanti Plummer
Embarrassing.
Az Fudd
That's so good.
Ashanti Plummer
Me. AC's field goal percentage. Okay, what's next?
Az Fudd
The UConn Cinematic Universe for 800, please.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, I'm supposed to read. After being rejected as a youth from the former AAU team in Jefferson City, this former Husky parent started their own team, nafeesa. I feel like uh, where's Mack? You cheating? Oh, my goodness. All right. Nafeesa Collier. That is correct. Okay. UConn undefeated 600. As the winningest college basketball coach. Gino is currently sitting at this many wins.
Az Fudd
Mm, that's hard.
Ashanti Plummer
Grace. I was gonna say. How would I know this?
Az Fudd
I know, but I forget. How many. Like, how many games have we played since we celebrated that last year? It's like, around. I would say about plus 30. Okay. Okay. What's your guess?
Ashanti Plummer
I have no clue. I don't know. That's my final answer.
Az Fudd
That's a number.
Ashanti Plummer
How many wins he had? Thousand and thirty.
Az Fudd
Isn't it in the 1100s?
Ashanti Plummer
Is it?
Az Fudd
I thought.
Ashanti Plummer
I don't know. I have no clue. My final answer is how many games has. Gina, can I phone a friend? 1.
Az Fudd
1000. What do I call a forma?
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, so I feel like I should get partial since it's not accurate. He's won over 1200 games. That's what I'm going with.
Az Fudd
I'm gonna say 1162.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm going with 1230.
Az Fudd
Oh, oh, wait, what did. How many did he. Wait, what?
Ashanti Plummer
How many did he. The answer is 1259.
Az Fudd
Was it 12?
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, that was the number. I thought it was a thousand. I said over 1200, so.
Az Fudd
Did we already do the UConn Cinematic Universe for 600? Can I do that one, please?
Ashanti Plummer
This former Husky holds the record for the most basketball gold medals in Olympic history, winning six consecutive gold medals.
Az Fudd
Diana Taurasi.
Ashanti Plummer
I think that is correct. Yes.
Az Fudd
Dt I like that category.
Ashanti Plummer
Did we do futaround and find out? 800. All right, let's see what we got. I'm getting smoked, so I need this.
Az Fudd
Good luck.
Ashanti Plummer
This is crazy. In 2019, Arizona hit this many threes in 18 minutes.
Az Fudd
It was a lot.
Ashanti Plummer
It was a lot.
Az Fudd
It was a high number.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, and this is in a game?
Az Fudd
No, no, this is a workout.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, see, you gotta be more specific. Okay, this many threes and 18. That's a long time. 18 minutes, just shooting threes. Oh, my goodness. Um, what is it?
Az Fudd
Over 100, maybe.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh, come on. Yes. Okay.
Az Fudd
Three. I don't remember the number.
Ashanti Plummer
Okay, so I'm gonna go 219.
Az Fudd
Woo.
Ashanti Plummer
Wow, wow, wow. I didn't have face. I just said 250. The answer is 268.
Az Fudd
Geez, girl, almost had 269.
Ashanti Plummer
Dang. I gotta get on my AZ trivia. The fans gonna start talking about me. I'm not a true fan.
Az Fudd
I don't know anything from either of these categories.
Ashanti Plummer
That's why you've been staying on that side, huh?
Az Fudd
Yeah.
Ashanti Plummer
Come on to the dark side.
Az Fudd
Can I do? UConn undefeated for a thousand.
Ashanti Plummer
The Huskies also own the longest winning streak in regular season games in college history. With this many consecutive regular season wins.
Az Fudd
Hold on, hold on.
Ashanti Plummer
Please.
Az Fudd
Please hold.
Ashanti Plummer
Somebody play the Jeopardy music.
Az Fudd
Six, seven.
Ashanti Plummer
That's what you're going with? No, I'm gonna go with no.
Az Fudd
I can't tell if it's gonna be more or less.
Ashanti Plummer
You pick a number so I can finally get some points.
Az Fudd
Okay, I'm gonna go with 72.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm going with a hundred.
Az Fudd
120. Whoa.
Ashanti Plummer
I feel like I should because I'm closer. It's 126.
Az Fudd
Oh, no.
Ashanti Plummer
I don't get any points, but okay.
Az Fudd
Like you shouldn't even raise my brain correctly there.
Ashanti Plummer
600. Futter on and find out. Coming in. Clutch. This is az. Career high points in the fourth quarter. Career high. Dang. It was specific to this season. I'm locked in. I'm gonna say 20 plus in a.
Az Fudd
Four in the fourth quarter. Okay.
Ashanti Plummer
15 since.
Az Fudd
I mean, I don't know.
Ashanti Plummer
You don't seem. You don't seem confident that it's 20. She put a question mark. Okay. 15, 12, 17. 17.
Az Fudd
I was close.
Ashanti Plummer
Like high key. I'm. I just feel like I got 300 points just now. Let's just go ahead. Add that grace. What's the last one?
Az Fudd
UConn undefeated. How many more? 800, please.
Capital One Announcer
Woo.
Ashanti Plummer
UConn's longest undefeated streak ended with a buzzer beater at the end of overtime.
Az Fudd
Against this team, Notre Dame.
Ashanti Plummer
I'm going to say Louisville. Wait, that was Miss Mississippi State in 2017.
Az Fudd
Wait, who did Enrique hit that buzzer beater on? You know what I'm talking about.
Ashanti Plummer
Like, like what player or.
Az Fudd
No, like what team was that?
Ashanti Plummer
I was gonna say, didn't she hit 2 like back to back? Or is that another player from Notre Dame?
Az Fudd
No, that was her Mississippi State. And I think you.
Ashanti Plummer
No, yeah, it was UConn for sure. Yeah, I knew. I knew it was UConn. I thought you were asking.
Az Fudd
Wait, so when did. Was this a different year? They lost by two buzzer beaters. That sucks.
Ashanti Plummer
Yeah, Stush. I think it was like the short point guard or something. Hit the buzz beater on Yukon. Well, is that all of our.
Az Fudd
I lost this game. I was pretty bad at this.
Ashanti Plummer
You didn't. Girl, you smoked me. You smoked me. AC has 2,600 points. We don't have to worry about that 1400 Ashanti. 1400 points for me. That's what the producer said. 8001400 points for me is what I heard.
Az Fudd
You're going home a big loser today.
Ashanti Plummer
Not really because every day I'm alive. Gotta change the win.
Az Fudd
There you go.
Ashanti Plummer
Oh man, that was fun. I like that.
Az Fudd

Episode: Pie, Practice & A FAFO Pop Quiz
Date: December 12, 2025
Host: Azzi Fudd with Ashanti Plummer
In this lively episode, UConn basketball star Azzi Fudd and co-host Ashanti Plummer catch up on all things holidays, basketball, school, and life on and off the court. The conversation blends personal stories about Thanksgiving and team traditions with candid insight into Azzi’s academic and athletic challenges during her final year at UConn. The episode’s highlight is a pop quiz/trivia game that shows Azzi’s fun side, all while giving listeners an insider’s look at balancing college, sports, and the pressure of draft season.
(02:56 – 13:50)
“It was me, KK, Sarah, Ice. It was chill…We ate, packed to-go boxes, and Sarah was like, alright, see ya. And we left.” (03:29)
“I'm working on my black side, okay? It took me 23 years to hear it.” (04:29)
“It was really nice that everyone got some home-cooked food and got to be with people they love.” (07:18)
“One of the guys in my class is like, professor, this reminds me of the exam I had to take when I was working to get my PhD…That's a sign that this is not okay. Yeah, help. Not.” (08:05)
“If I have any tips…make sure you’re on your academic advisor’s good side, because...she's helping you communicate with your professors and making sure you've got everything under control.” (09:44)
“I think I might just send it in the group chat and be like, hey, we're doing this.” (10:49)
(14:39 – 16:39)
Azzi is excited to intern (remotely) with Madison Reed, hoping to observe business in action and apply her studies.
“I've never done this before. They've never done this before…I'm excited just to learn, to be a sponge and see what happens.” (15:03)
Hopes she may get to color someone’s hair—offers to try on a wig with Ashanti or even color producer Grace’s hair for fun. (16:22–16:53)
(21:10 – 27:39)
Azzi says the team focuses on improvement, not pressure to maintain a streak:
“We are humbled every day in practice…so I feel like our focus is really just on getting better and not like, oh my gosh, we're undefeated.” (22:31)
Practice and game prep is steady no matter the opponent; only in final days do they adapt anything specific.
“Our preparation from game to game isn’t that different…As long as we're taking care of ourselves, we know we're in good shape.” (24:12)
