Podcast Announcer
Grow your business, grow your life. Now, here's your host, Brian Fullerton.
Brian Fullerton
All right, so let's do this really quick. We're going to do our massive big announcement, exciting 250,000 subscriber video. I'm not really entirely sure what to call this. So that's what we're going to title it. So how about that? Welcome to the YouTube channel, Brian Fullerton, beautiful wifey for lifey, Elizabeth Fullerton. How you doing?
Elizabeth Fullerton
Great.
Brian Fullerton
All right, here's my fun, exciting idea. Two things I want to share with you guys on this video. First off, big thank you to everybody for 250,000 subscribers.
Elizabeth Fullerton
That's so crazy.
Brian Fullerton
That's absolutely insane. I don't want to milk this whole thing and say, oh, my God, we thought it would never happen. We're so lucky. Like, blah, blah. Dude, it's just been a grind, okay? It's been a grind of 10 years. 1500 YouTube videos, 4500 Instagram posts, 960 podcasts, a thousand newsletter emails. It's been a lot, all right? Like, the first five years, we got to 100,000 subscribers. And no joke, I never paid attention to the stats ever since. And also, YouTube moved the cheese the year we hit 100,000 subscribers because your subscriber count really doesn't matter anymore. It's all based on views anyway. And YouTube doesn't notify your subscriber list when a new video drops. And they just go with the algorithm to post out and push out content that actually exclusively gets views. AKA Mr. Beast consumes like 60% of the platform's views just on his channel alone or some ridiculous stat. So it is what it is. So anyway, I'm grateful that every single view that we get here and every single subscriber nonetheless, but continue to subscribe. We super appreciate that. And it's a fun vanity metric and 250,000. So we're very, very excited. How are you? Are you excited?
Elizabeth Fullerton
I am. I like it. It is crazy at this point how different our life looks now versus when we first started. Because, yes, I didn't even know. And you came in with like a party hat on one morning and you're like, oh, we hit, you know, 250,000 subscribers on YouTube and the crew gave you like a little surprise party about it. And I was completely unaware.
Brian Fullerton
And yeah, we don't really pay attention to the stats or the details. Believe it or not, as hard as it is for you to believe or not. And to think that we're making that up. Worst wife in the world, I'm telling you. Like, she didn't even know. That's literally how literally? Literally, literally, literally, literally. That's how little I think it might have been a stroke. That's how little we actually pay attention to the stat in the number. Here's what I thought we'd do for a couple of quick minutes. I want to test take it back down memory lane, watch a couple of old YouTube videos. We're going to a little react video for five or 10 minutes here. And then also I do want to bolt on the end of this. A giveaway that we did do now. Not giveaway in a traditional sense that you might see on this YouTube channel or other YouTube channels where, hey, everybody, pals deep on a, like a comment, a subscribe. You know, we get a lot of people subscribing for the wrong reasons or maybe people that are brand new and they've never subscribed to the channel before. And it's kind of like rewards folks that really haven't like, had any skin in the game or been with you for a while. And we wanted to change that. We're going to do something totally different. We did a giveaway and we've already done the giveaway and we're going to share it here with you guys today. More on that here in a couple of quick minutes. What I want to do for in the meantime was go back down memory lane for just four or five minutes and show you some of the videos that were from Brian's Law Maintenance. First getting started, a lot of you guys said you need to react to your first video that you ever did. And so we're doing that right now. I've got a couple tabs pulled up on my screen. I've got four or five big videos that mean something to us. But folks, I could have done this with another hundred videos, if not another 500 videos. Like every video is unique in its own way. Some of them I remember, some of them I rather hit delete, unedit or unlist or whatever, right? So very first video, we're going to do it la. I've got this pulled up in front of us.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Oh my gosh.
Brian Fullerton
This is the very first YouTube video we ever made. All right, so let's watch it for a quick second for the Laser Z the S. This is our walk around video of me at my mom's house trading in a Laser Z S Series X mark with about 1500 red truck.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I know Thunder there was just know it's a little red truck.
Brian Fullerton
This is our. I don't even know what year this is. A 2011 maybe X mark. This was when we bought the Canon camera for Liz to start vlogging. We. I have no idea what SD card we had. I don't know what laptop we had. We didn't own a laptop. We were young couple. We. I have no idea how this video got on YouTube. I think I. I think I literally bluetooth it to my. To my phone and then uploaded it on YouTube mobile. And folks, this is a 14 minute walk around. You can see it actually starts getting
Elizabeth Fullerton
all wavy because you use it stabilization.
Brian Fullerton
I use the stabilization feature in imovie like free imovie back in the day. And so it starts warping and stuff like that. And the video is cringe. But that, that video was the first video that I put on YouTube and it's still there, still hopefully pulling views. How many views does it have? It has 24,000 views. Like that's a decent video. I'll take that. All right. From there. Going down memory lane. Anything you wanted to add with that for. For a quick minute? Let's see what do we got next? We've got our 2016 Exmark Laser Z X series review.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Oh, look at the old logo. Like the old intro.
Brian Fullerton
How about that? We've had a couple of intros over the years. Some of you guys have mentioned hearing that logo before bed. Your wife has.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I made that logo.
Brian Fullerton
You made that logo.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I'm pretty sure I made that logo.
Brian Fullerton
You might have made that logo. Here's our Exmark Laser ZX series. This is the brand new one that I bought in 2016. This is when we re upped all of our equipment. This is my first like Big Dog Exmark Laser Z mower. This is awesome. All right. This was like the big deal. This was like the Cadillac back then. Since then had a couple more mowers add to the fleet.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Like didn't this one go in the lake?
Brian Fullerton
No, no, no, no. We didn't have anything like that. Thank God. One thing I wanted to highlight though at the five and a half minute mark was there's a court over by my mom's house and I used to just make videos anywhere. Like this is down an old abandoned road. There's literally concrete pour out at the end of this court. And I'm like, sounds like a good spot to set up a tripod. Like a weirdo unhook the trailer after mowing or unhooked the mower after mowing all day. Making a YouTube video in like the woods and like the grass and just.
Elizabeth Fullerton
It's weird.
Brian Fullerton
You're in jeans, I'm in jeans. You know, like no uniform. I'm wearing a rogue fitness T shirt. I look like a dork. I look like a dork. It's so. Probably look like a dork. But folks, I would make videos in my mom's driveway with the candy cane lights and kids playing with their power wheels in the background.
Elizabeth Fullerton
And I'm like, you always used to get frustrated because there were kids that lived around your mom or like helicopters. Yes, always. Something was always happening there.
Brian Fullerton
Airplanes, helicopters.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Everything had to be so perfect.
Brian Fullerton
I was. I'm a meticulous dude, you know. Another video here. My first video camera gear and setup. How about this, Liz? This is inside of our apartment.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Apartment, yeah.
Brian Fullerton
We've got.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Our whiteboard is behind you.
Brian Fullerton
Our little canon camera. Little GoPro. Three silver GoPros were just coming on the market. A couple, you know, cases to bolt it to a mower to get some mowing footage. This is. This might have well been a $50,000.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I remember we got this for your birthday, didn't we?
Brian Fullerton
Yeah, you did. You got it for me before then I was like, hey, taking the camera around. No wide angle lens, no image stabilization, no auto focus. Half of my first 100 videos were out of focus. It was always pulling off the background and not the foreground. Or vice versa, however that works. This is crazy though, isn't it?
Elizabeth Fullerton
Yeah.
Brian Fullerton
I've got a couple other more videos pulled up. This one little DeWalt unboxing review video. How about this? Along the way, got the cool logo, little intro.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I don't remember. I did not make that logo.
Brian Fullerton
I'm not even sure who did. Take back your weekends. That's a slogan I stole from X Mark. Look at, look at, look at this. Like radians. We're doing it. We're doing an unboxing of safety equipment from Radians. DeWalt sent me, like, dude, a thousand gloves and safety glasses. And I thought, you know what the world wants to see? An unboxing of safety glasses. Drum roll. Pre, please. How many views? 5,600 views on a unboxing of DeWalt safety gloves and glasses. All right. It just continues to get more and more cringe. One thing, that was a big deal. And we'll kind of get to the giveaway here. Let's check this out. An Echo 2620 unboxing. We had about 250 subscribers on YouTube. And Echo started an influencer program and just was like seeding out equipment. And I was like, I'll take a free trimmer. They're like, can you do a video on them? Like, I'm, you know, obviously like the brand new YouTube star with a 337 subscribers. Let's do this thing. All I heard was save 300 on a trimmer. So I was like, sounds good, Echo. But Echo was the first free piece of equipment that we ever received. And I was really grateful and thankful for that. I still am. And I think that one, we might have retired it just about a year or two ago.
Elizabeth Fullerton
That's a whole pile back there.
Brian Fullerton
We've kept all these running and it's like eight or nine years deep that that thing was working. So first trimmer, what was the old joke? We. We started to get things after we could start to afford to buy them.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Yeah, I'm like, it was literally like we, when we needed it would have been so great. And then all of a sudden, we actually started making money with the business and we got free stuff.
Brian Fullerton
It's absolutely wild how this stuff works, folks. Another big video that I can think of that was a huge deal for us. Along the way, we started YouTube. Started making YouTube videos Monday, Wednesday and Friday was my goal. Unboxing videos, vlogs. Liz was in some of them. We started an Instagram in 2017, 2018, which sounds like just so crazy dorky.
Elizabeth Fullerton
When I met you, you didn't even have social media.
Brian Fullerton
No.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Like, nothing.
Brian Fullerton
Nothing. I was the least likely person to do social media.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Trying to convince to get an Instagram was like pulling teeth. You're like, no, I don't want. Your reasoning was. Was valid. He's like, I don't want any distractions. Like, I'm just trying to build a business. That just sounds like another distraction I want. We're doing this YouTube thing. I'm like, but no, you don't understand. Like, you can get more viewers, like, if you have like, more like a wider net. Yeah. And you were really resistant to it for a while.
Brian Fullerton
Probably cost me $100,000 and another 100,000 subscribers or followers or whatever. If I would have got on when Instagram was still small, which is crazy. Along the way, we continue to grow. The first year doing YouTube, 1000 to 100 subscribers was about four months. Zero to a thousand was a year. I haven't said stats like this in a while, so Forgive me. Year two, we finally hit 10,000 subscribers after our first year. That was a big deal.
Elizabeth Fullerton
It was a really big deal. I think that's when we bought the open trailer, wasn't it?
Brian Fullerton
We bought trucks and trailers along the way. It's hard to keep up with the timeline. Year three went from 10,000 to like 40,000. Year four, 40,000 to about 80,000. Year five, 80,000 to 130,000. Passed and surpassed 100k mark. That was a year of COVID and everything went bonkers ever since. I think we're all still figuring out what the hell happened the last five years.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Second live event.
Brian Fullerton
Our first live event in 2019. LAL. We're on year seven now or eight, which is coming up November 7th. Along the way, bought Thunder. That's a vlog that'll lot of you guys remember. A little tear jerker because we traded in our first truck and got thunder since then. We've got three or four more F350s since then, which is crazy. Picked up the Isuzu along the way. Dump trailer, sh tracks, folks. You've seen all of it get upgraded along the way and it's been, it's been an expensive couple of years. Revenue when we started the YouTube channel was probably $70,000.
Elizabeth Fullerton
That's generous.
Brian Fullerton
That's generous. When I met Bedell in 2017 or so, year two of doing YouTube, just learning from him and always a good plug for Bedell. He's one of my boys. Took it to 100 grand plus in revenue, which is really, really cool. Today you guys can probably see our sales poster right over my shoulder. We're public with pretty much everything that we do around here. We should be hitting the million dollar mark on a rolling 12 at this point, which is really, really exciting. So it's pretty cool to grow up with you guys and everything along the way. In 2019, 2020, we launched the podcast. Three and a half million downloads on that bad boy. Literally top 100 podcast 150 on all entrepreneurship charts. Hands down, the most actually downloaded show on the planet for lawn care, landscaping, bar none. It's ridiculous. And the folks that you guys are listening in every single day and the community we built because of that. And with that, I've made friends for life. No doubt about it. It's been crazy. What's, what's your thoughts? I know I'm kind of hogging the mic here a little bit.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I'm just really proud of you. Like, I vividly remember just so many moments and instances over the years of like, gosh, we like what why we have to get a video up. Like is it really that big of a deal? Like just me not being like the most supportive always. And I remember like there's something about you that's different and I've always known this and I think a big factor in that is that you're consistent. Like you are the most hands down consistent person I've ever met in my entire life. And doing that for this long, like I just, I'm really proud of you. I'm really, really proud of you.
Brian Fullerton
I appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you. I will tell you, until last year was our first time we've ever had a viral video. I had the Snowpower video on Instagram go 50 million viral and then YouTube the same video, about 50 million viral. So that was a hundred million views just with those two videos last year Instagram made no money. YouTube I made like 1500 bucks on the, on the short which is not a lot of money for 50 million views. Hopefully Rick sold some snowplows though. Shout out to snowplow Rick. There's so many words and so many events and so many things. The travel, the networking, the partnerships, the affiliates, the friends, the community. Equip expo.
Elizabeth Fullerton
We never would have met the almonds. Like we. There's so many. Our life looks so different in part to a lot of you guys. Like how many people we've gotten to meet through the, you know, through social media, through trades. We started trades like I. Our life would not look, I have no doubt that you would have succeeded in business at all. But the friendships and the enrichment that we've had in our lives because of like the social media stuff has been really cool, really cool over the years.
Brian Fullerton
It's been a huge blessing in our life as you guys can imagine. We made no money social media wise. I look at it up just the other day fact until like 20 tail end of 2019 like real money, real being like thousands of dollars, not just hundreds of dollars that just got recycled back into the business. The last couple of years been a little bit more blessed with social media for sure. We talk about that pretty publicly too. We make money from doing, you know, social media and YouTube and all that mess. And I never would have thought that never got started for any of that. And it's been a huge blessing in her life as well.
Elizabeth Fullerton
The fact that you put yourself on the Internet. I know a lot of people don't believe it but Brian is not an extrovert naturally. Like he had like to be do well in business you have to force yourself to do things sometimes. So, like, you're good at pretending to be an extrovert, but just knowing who he is. Like, I mean, what you see is what you get. It's not like he's different off camera than he is on camera, but just the fact that, like, you're all over the Internet is really funny to me because I remember when I first met you. I met him. He was one of my tables at a restaurant that I worked at. I was his waitress, and when he paid, I took his card to the back and all the girls and I Googled him because that's what you do. No Facebook came up? No, the only thing that came up was, I think, the Google listing your business. I was like, oh, he's a business owner,
Brian Fullerton
folks. It's so hard to do a video like this. I'm like, I've had this idea for months. I'm like, what do we say? What do you, how do you, how do you quantify? How do you honor you guys in the industry and the community? It's really, really hard. We have been. I have been criticized and trolled and made fun of and laughed at endlessly by so many folks. Some little bits, some, the. Lots of some psychopathically along the way. They'll always have a special place in my heart because it's made me grow a little bit more thick skin.
Elizabeth Fullerton
And your skin is so thick.
Brian Fullerton
My, my, my skin is pretty thick at this point. Not, not. I, I say knockout W, but not too much stuff gets my goat these days because I've kind of seen and heard it all. I, I. More things have been said about me than any other human being. I feel on, on in the green industry for sure. It may be otherwise, but what I will just say I'm very honored and blessed to be in this spot, hopefully to be an industry voice, maybe a training individual podcaster speaking to you guys, show what's working for us and hopefully make you guys proud. I can't go this far into a video without acknowledging all the folks along the way. You start naming one, as they say, you got to name them all. But there's so many great folks and friends and peers locally and afar that have made me who I am today. Of course, we've had some great team members in the company along the way. You guys have seen the company grow, and you've seen the guys in the company continue to grow with it, including foreman Rob, who's not a foreman anymore. As a supervisor, he's got a half dozen guys that he's taking care of and watching over. Couldn't have done it without him and the rest of the crew. So it's been. It's been a lot. And. And of course, my last big thank you is to you. Oh, no. It was. Stuck with me through all of the nonsense that is YouTube and social media
Elizabeth Fullerton
and some of the hardest parts of
Brian Fullerton
our life, like, yeah, and all these artificial deadlines. I'm like, this bundle's got to get put on LaunchPreneur Academy and this podcast has to go out. And I've done podcasts pretty much almost anytime, anywhere, any place to get a show done, to stay on schedule, you know, and it's been a lot. Let me wrap up with this. So I do apologize if there's a little bit lengthier video. Hopefully you watched the whole way through. What I wanted to do is do a giveaway and just give back and say thank you. And I didn't know what that even looked like. I kind of struggled with this part for about a month and a half, knowing that this was coming up as well. When I did my 100k subscriber giveaway, we gave away a whole bunch of equipment and unfortunately the comments got spammed by bots and people, like, started getting scammed or almost scammed because it was. It was a. It was a cluster because these bots just raid for keywords and then Everybody's getting texted WhatsApp and comment, dude, it was a divorce.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I remember. And you never. Brian's heart is so good. He, like, he would feel so bad if somebody got scammed or something because of a comment.
Brian Fullerton
Our marriage coach and counselor, tandem marriage actually did. He got scammed. 100 bucks for shipping for this giveaway. And I'm like, oh, my God. So here's the deal and that effort. And also, again, I want something to go to somebody more of the right person. There was a situation that happened real time a little over a month ago down in Ohio. And a lot of you guys know Eric Hughes with the EH group. Well, Eric was on the Shop Tour series, I don't know, a year or two ago. A couple years ago. Fantastic dude. Wife, kids, I think like six kids or something like that. Awesome guy, awesome friend. He's been to conferences and our events and support and just. Just a good dude. Well, he came on some tough times. His shop burned to the ground. I mean, like ashes. And he got a check from the insurance, but the only thing that wasn't covered is because he had just got it and forgot to add it to his Policy was his SnowPower F14 snowplow. And that's a big deal.
Elizabeth Fullerton
That's a big.
Brian Fullerton
It's a big, expensive ticket item. So I called Eric about three days later. It's the spring rush. Hey, man, how's it going? And he was somber, but, you know, good. And he's solid and. But, you know, anybody can be rattled a little bit.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Yeah. I mean, your life just burned down.
Brian Fullerton
His life, his. His livelihood just burned down, you know,
Elizabeth Fullerton
and chance or no, it's still something
Brian Fullerton
to go, you know, big, big, big challenging thing. So he told me about the snow power, got off of that phone call, and immediately picked up the phone to Rick with Snowpower. I called him Rick from hurricane, because he had Hurricane. I called Rick from snow power. He said, hey, I need a plow. Let me know if you can work on the number. If not, I get it. He gave me a number. I was like, that's going to sting. But they're just expensive snowplows. I told my wife, hey, I bought a snowplow today. She goes, it's like, just got.
Elizabeth Fullerton
She goes, I thought we had enough, but okay, summertime. What are we plowing?
Brian Fullerton
What are we plowing? Snow. And I'm like, so this thing happened. So anyway, for about the price of an X mark mower, we bought a snow plow, and Rick and I shot a quick little clip taking it down the road to Eric. So I'm gonna cut to that clip right now, and hopefully you guys can see his quick reaction video there. Let's do that right here, right now, and then we'll cut and we'll come right on back. He's doing a bunch of turf repair. Yeah, because we were parking right here because all the time. Hey, you want to come on up? Yeah, come on up, boss. We're over here at Eric's house and checking it all out. What's up, bud? Yeah, yeah, way. Here we go. Oh, my gosh. So this is. Well, I think you know what this is. I had one of these. You had one of these? It was sitting right there, and then we loaded it into the dumpster like it was on, you know, it was in the shop. Yeah.
Podcast Announcer
Burned up.
Brian Fullerton
Didn't have insurance on it because I just parked it. I got it in March, and, well, we found out. Yeah. Mr. Rick. Good morning, brother. Oh, my God.
Podcast Announcer
Special delivery.
Brian Fullerton
Dude, what are you doing, man? Love you, man. I'm so blessed. You guys are awesome. This one's yours. Rick, you want to tell them what? What do we got here? This is the new F14. It's your new F14. All redone. Yeah. Yeah. That is sweet. We're. We're cutting through it, right, Rick? Cutting through? Yeah. You're doing, like, the shop tour or something. You're just. The shop tour. We. Yeah, we'll regroup on the shop tour. Another video for another time. A little sensitive topic. We're not gonna put salt on that one this morning. That's what we got here really quick. We're. We're zipping through. This is actually. And I'll probably have a little cap on the end of this video, but we had 250, 000 subscribers. Yeah. And I want to do something, you know, to give back. Buy something, raffle something, give away something. I said, you know what? I want to give it to somebody. Something to somebody who deserves something that's part of the community. It's been following the channel, too. All that mess for a long time. Yeah. I didn't want to just raffle off on X Mark Power, you know, like this. This means something to me. You mean something to me. Like, we're friends. This is like a community. And so I called Rick. I told Rick about it. He's like, say no more. He's like, what do you need? And I'm like, let's do it. Yeah. And he's like, when do you need it? He goes, I'll be there tomorrow. And that's Mr. Rick over here as well for you guys that don't know. So thank you, Rick, for the. For the. For the love and the support with all this, too. So that's what we got, man. So, Eric, really quick. Thank you, everyone. Happy, happy new snow power to you, brother. Yeah, thank you. All right, let's catch up with you guys. We'll see ya. Thank you. All right, folks, so a little inside baseball. We're walking out, we're pulling out of the driveway, and my boy here is a little emotional. I'm not gonna put you on the spot, but. Oh, it's all good. I just love to be with good people. It feels good. It feels right, doesn't it? Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Could have happened to a better dude. All right, well, hopefully you guys enjoyed that quick clip to give away a mower to give away a trimmer. First off, I don't have, like $50,000 to give away a truck or like a Ford Ranger, and most of you guys need big trucks out there. So I was like, we'll get a 10 grand.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Maybe one day we'll give like a 10 grade.
Brian Fullerton
Yeah. I'm not, I'm not.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I don't know what this is going to look like in another 10 years.
Brian Fullerton
I'm not T grid. I can't do that yet. Okay. But it's not like I can just like gift a $70,000 f 250 that you guys actually need for lawn and snow. So it just puts it in this and it's not like I want to tap X mark. Hey, let's give away a vertex half you guys don't run X mark. The other half of you guys do. And God forbid it goes to some person that just flips it on Facebook and makes 10 grand cash.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Well, that's my thing with this is like it was somebody who's engaged in the community, who's been a blessing to others, who has been around for years, long time. So I think it's really cool doing it this way versus like a more traditional giveaway. And I hope you guys all feel the same.
Brian Fullerton
Yes. Yes.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Yeah.
Brian Fullerton
And again, shout out and congrats to Eric, a brother from another mother. Again, great guy, great individual and hopefully it helps, you know, his business continue on. I know they got that because they picked up a brand new big commercial account of church actually. And the idea was for that to be a huge resource to do that site. And you know, honestly, again, that's at the end of the day what it's all about. So again, I know this video is probably getting a little bit lengthy. If you're watching and you've been with us for two minutes, you're probably like next. Okay, I'm gonna go watch some mowing tall grass. That's fine. I totally get it. If you've been with us for five years, seven years, 10 years, like doing this thing, Bronson, like the younger kid that works for us now, he literally started watching my videos when he was like 9 years old. The kid is 18.
Elizabeth Fullerton
He has your signature tattooed on his thigh.
Brian Fullerton
Don't. Yeah, don't give that out. Yeah, that was on him. Some people are like, oh, I'm your biggest fan. I'm like, I don't think so. I don't think so. He's got my, my signature tattoo on his thigh. Don't ask. That's funny. Crazy stuff, folks. Crazy stuff. Bronson's a right hand. He's not, he's not just a crew apprentice or a crew member. He's a right hand. He's going to lead a crew next year if he wants. Like, it's crazy. The stories are absolutely crazy. And yes, we've been blessed financially with all of this as well. No doubt about that. Like, my heart is just so full, so happy. If we don't say it enough on videos. Thank you to all of you guys. And if we could ever do anything for you guys to help out or to give back or to lend a. Lend an ear or lend a shoulder. Like we've all been there. I'm pretty sure we've experienced every emotion the last decade. Dinks, you know, with kid, with two kids, with three kids, hopefully one more along the way. With money, with no money. Renting apartments, living in a camper and then building a custom home. Like we have done the gamut.
Elizabeth Fullerton
And yeah, I can't. We were in our old, old apartment with our 12 year old carpet and moldy ceilings when you started this.
Brian Fullerton
It's been crazy, folks. And here's the last two things I'll. The two things that have been in my life the longest, the most consistent, right, besides mom and my relationship with JC is you guys. It's the only. This YouTube thing is the only thing I've actually stuck with something in my life besides, I guess Brian's Law maintenance, right, for 20 years is you guys for the last 10. And my beautiful wife who has been with me every step of the way for the last 12 or 13, 14 years that we've known each other. So that's got to say something like, I'm not good at anything else. I'm good at YouTube.
Elizabeth Fullerton
I didn't say you were good. I said you were consistent.
Brian Fullerton
Fair enough. All my haters would say the same thing. You know, for any of you guys that have loved, liked, followed, unsubscribed and left and then came back, I appreciate that love and that grace as well. If I've said a colorful thing or something you don't like or don't agree with, tough. That's on you. No, I'm just kidding. Listen, I get it, okay? After doing 10,000 pieces of content, there's probably going to be something you disagree with me on somewhere along the way. That's fair. But I'll just let you know I mean it with kindness. I mean it with love. Thanks for respecting my opinions and beliefs. And I respect your opinions, beliefs. And we're just making tall grass short and putting snow from here to there. All right? There's so much more to cover, so much more I could share about. The more I talk, the more things that just keep coming on my mind. The Shop tour series, traveling, Equip Access, Expo, rallies, takeover, podcasts, Folks that have helped me along the way to do all the above.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Your face was on products in Home Depot because of this.
Brian Fullerton
Yeah.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Which is so weird.
Brian Fullerton
My face has also been on the security cameras at tsa. You know, it's been, folks, everything that could have happened the last decade has. We gave out our first ever lifetime achievement award to Mark Bradley last year. I made friends with Marty Grunder. I know folks like Nick Carlson, Cal Parks and their whole posse. Sam Gamble, Jeremy Lindstrom from Glacier Snow, Troy Clogg, Corey Ballard, Leroy. I mean, incredible people. I know Jerry Shill. Okay, Jerry Schill. I know Jerry. Jerry doesn't know me. Like crazy stories, you know what I mean? And again, I'm just going to kind of probably just go in circles and Repeat myself, but 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. It means something. It means a lot. It's not my everything. I'm very glad to just kind of hit this milestone. I don't want to gloss over it or skip over it. We will go to a million subscribers here over the next couple of years. Hopefully sooner than later. But you know, it's weird. Like it just kind of snuck up
Elizabeth Fullerton
on us because it really did.
Brian Fullerton
We don't really keep up with all the stats and details. I just want to. One handshake, one relationship, one call, one conference at a time, talking to everybody that's out there. And again, sincerely, I hope to make the industry proud and grow brands on maintenance into a successful company and document all that along the way with you guys and hopefully keep my freaking marriage intact and prosperous as we go. Fair enough.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Can't get divorced if we run a marriage conference. I'm just saying.
Brian Fullerton
That's true. That's true. And I always remember half of zero is zero. So. All right, leave me a comment down below. Let me know when you guys maybe jumped on board and subscribed or maybe what you saw first. Was it Blower Wars? Was it thunder picking up? Thunder wars. Eight o' clock at night. Did you get to see when we got to see all the little kids birthday parties that I've been invited to. I've probably been on 50 FaceTime phone calls with young 5 to 12 year old birthday parties. We wrote the Momo kid book.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Our life is so.
Brian Fullerton
It's weird. It's so wild. It's so weird. 0 to 100k. The more I talk, the more stuff just keeps popping out. There's no way you could run a list of everything we've been able to do with you guys and quantify it, but I've probably been on 50 FaceTime phone calls with kids for birthdays, about a dozen grown men. You know,
Elizabeth Fullerton
I think it's also cool.
Brian Fullerton
I've done phone calls with you guys that are out there. Your wives have hooked me up with FaceTiming you on your birthday, and you're like, holy crap. It's price law maintenance. And so it's been a lot of fun.
Elizabeth Fullerton
It has been.
Brian Fullerton
Thank you. If I never do anything else with my life that's grand or cool this decade, I hope that people could eventually point to it and say, that guy made us all proud.
Elizabeth Fullerton
You mean?
Brian Fullerton
Thanks. All right, we gotta cut it because I'm gonna get emotional eventually. If I talk long enough, the tears will come out because it's deeper than grass, as you guys know. All right, anything else you want to leave them with?
Elizabeth Fullerton
Just. Thank you.
Brian Fullerton
Thank you. Thank you to all of you guys. All right, we love you. Appreciate you. Thanks for watching this Stop Fest. Stop Fest and this goofy vlog, but that's what I got for you guys today. And again, big congrats to Eric for winning the pseudo giveaway of that stove plow. And that's what we're doing for 250, 000. All right, love you guys. Appreciate you. Have a great day. We'll catch up with you guys here on the next one.
Elizabeth Fullerton
Bye.
