Fuse leans further into its proposed aesthetic of biting club tracks with a brand new release by Cirkle. ‘Infinity Drift’ balances powerful sound system sound design with lush ambiance, creating standout moments on a dancefloor with a taste of nostalgia. These tracks explore the richness in themes that techno can have when made by someone who’s spent years meticulously crafting it. ‘Skyland’ asserts itself first with impressive pace. Swift chord stabs open and close to create waves of excitement and craze in the track while percussion shuffles along to add impact; Cirkle is an artist of all rooms and dimensions. Shrill sound design cuts through the stereo field creating a wormhole in the middle of rhythmic determination. Tension balance and anticipation are his specialty and every transition whips his dispersed elements into singularity in the EP, specifically the title track. A truly musical piece that embraces the crowd with vintage warmth, ‘Infinity Drift’ tones down the dissonance in exchange for something closer to astral exploration. These larger than life themes are never lost on dancers and serve to unify the dancefloor into an organism instead of pushing sound system violence. This is a theme that is omnipresent in Cirkle’s music and carried through into ‘Stimulus’. Here, the Greek producer dips into the hypnotic bordering on psychotic, stretching arpeggios and delays across drum transitions and time. The dimension of ‘Stimulus’ matches the preceding tracks with ease, but stands out in its effect, rolling a powerful synth through reliably tuned percussion. For the final track, ‘Impulse’ sees Cirkle prioritizing the importance of drums. Pressing hard on the drive of the kick, rides and filtered claps squeeze their way out of the low end to create an infectious groove. Stabs of ethereal pads envelope the rest of the EP, leaving space for the rest to breathe. Bumping along the way, Cirkle lands the EP with class, cementing himself further as an artist whose knowledge of the dancefloor creates a singular experience. REC45 w/ Yazzus b2b DJ TOOL Back in early January, our year kicked off on an extended and unexpected note. Sparked by a spontaneous meeting of attitude, playfulness, and substance. Four hours deep, Mala Junta's Yazzus and DJ TOOL went back-to-back on the spot, dragging the decks of the Motion Room past shallow waters. Remembered as a textbook exhibition of the duo selector formula, built on intuition alone. ⁌ Soundcloud: @yazzus-1 & @dj-tool ⁌ Resident Advisor: ra.co/dj/yazzus & ra.co/dj/djtool ⁌ Instagram: www.instagram.com/interdimensional_jojo/ & www.instagram.com/yazzus__/

REC44 w/ Border One A special recording from one of this year's highlighted nights. Newest resident Border One delivered the definition of a grand opening. A humble mind, perfectly in tune with the knobs in front of him, taking the heads on an early two-hour ride. One controlled case at the border of tunnelvision techno. Patient and filled with intensity from the start, earning your attention piece by piece until we fall into his void. ⁌ Soundcloud: @borderone ⁌ Resident Advisor: ra.co/dj/borderone ⁌ Instagram: www.instagram.com/border.one/

REC43 w/ Function A quarter-century at techno's altar, and the devotion hasn't dimmed once. Back in January for TSSRCT's label night, the American DJ & producer Function made a three hour long appearance in Room 01. A ride for the spirited one, hypnotising from start to finish, and backed by decades of room reading along finely tuned intuition. As one of techno’s most respected legends, and a favourite producer to many DJs, he continues to summon that skill with ease, making this one of early 2026’s standout moments already. ⁌ Resident Advisor: ra.co/dj/function ⁌ Instagram: www.instagram.com/function.infrastructure

A central figure in Belgian techno, Border One’s work has also been an international reference for consistency and direction since his early releases. An artist for artists with true commitment to his sound, Steven Petit’s impact in the studio and behind the decks is admired by anyone who has done their homework. His music describes tight pressure under curious, modular-like sequences that stretch through the timeline of each track. The scale of minimalism remains key here, and the Belgian wastes no time when tunneling through his erratic tracks. Jazz-like dissonance drives his tension and although each element is carefully measured, the records truly command dancefloors. ‘Inner Radiance’ is no different. The Fuse resident takes his game one step further, pushing harmony to hysteria at every turn. The EP skips foreplay and dives straight into the extremities of Border One’s sound. In ‘Reducing Valve’, sustain is the key ingredient to this chaos. Slowly ripping the synth sequence into chords, Border one maintains a firm hold on the track’s tension while remaining playful with the main theme. ‘Sensory Reset’ is more of a lurker with its shifting pad that spreads across the stereo image. This track is characterized by a grim urgency as opposed to its predecessor’s progressive spiral. Keeping things low to the groove, the A2 swings about satisfyingly while Border One tinkers at his 909 constructions. Continuing his work on resonance, ‘Transfigured’ balances obscurity and surrealism. With a sequencer on the loose and a drum machine to emphasize it, the Fuse resident guides his audience into twists and turns at a constant pace. Here, we explore the dichotomy between the warmth and cold of a modular sound in techno, something frequently done but rarely mastered. Border One puts his years of experience to work to provide a combination of flair and balance to his tracks, something that is clearly translated in this EP. Of course, the final track - the title track - ‘Inner Radiance’ brings something very special to the table. The power of simplicity can never be underestimated and Petit knows just how to use it. With a strong core to an already sturdy track, the conclusion is spectacular. Emphasizing the electrifying nature of the record, Border One adds vintage chord stabs that fit right in with the sharp lead to create a powerful and memorable dancefloor experience. Not as much of a wind-down more than it is a gripping cliff hanger for his future releases, Border One provides once more an EP that underlines the true ethos of techno music. For Fuse Imprint’s eleventh release and the first of 2026, Rosati unveils ‘Divina Nostalgia’, an ode to vibrancy in dance music through four truly euphoric tracks. The Italian artist focuses on the enduring power of vintage production with a much-needed spotlight on techno’s optimistic underbelly, resulting in a sound that is both charismatic and electrifying. ‘Division’ sets the tone of the EP with playful percussion and bright synth work that unravels as the track progresses. Rosati utilizes the full character of the 909 for the flair that drives the record: rides, claps, and open hi-hats thunder through the arrangement in celebration of each transition. The artist then zeros in on ‘Echoes’, tightening the energy with an unflinchingly analog bassline and lush pads that round out the harsher edges of the percussion. This serves as a more linear approach for immediate effect; where the track favors minimalism, it provides maximum impact. Gradually turning up the energy, ‘Orbital’ jumps through toms and filtered chord stabs to emphasize the record’s extroverted nature. The synths dazzle along the rolling drums for a track that possesses house’s temperament but techno’s insistence. Finally, the title track ‘Divina Nostalgia’ concludes the EP in a moment of pure release. If you wondered where jazz comes into the picture, just ask Rosati. Organs, Rhodes, swing, and sustained tension slice through to a victorious finish line that highlights dance music’s command of the present moment. REC 42 w/ Anabel Arroyo She hit one of the first cues of 2026, Anabel Arroyo made a smooth and layered transition into the new year back on December 31st. A central figure in the contemporary scene, Setaoc Mass delivers five tracks of intimidatingly dystopian techno for Fuse’s next release. Synth-heavy and melodically focused, the UK native brews moody tones over his signature percussion to provide a touch of improvisation for balance. In Static Rush, genres and influences collide under the persistence of concrete club music. A haunting synth sequence opens FUSE10 with ‘The Sky Above’, showcasing Setaoc Mass’s intentions for the rest of the release. Playing with decay and sifting through shakers, the seasoned producer fills the spectrum with constant tension throughout the entirety of the A1. In ‘Shade’, whipping white noise over sixteenth synth notes, the pressure rises and falls with whistling accents on the transitions. Keeping the dancer on their toes with a lively arrangement, Setaoc Mass keeps his hands on all elements to maximise the record’s progression. Moving to the B side, Feeling blends harmony and robust tone. Claps thunder through the track’s warehouse acoustics, complemented by a sharp lead cutting through a heavy low end. The structure remains elusive and quick like the previous two, and it boasts a full, grinding sound destined for peak-time sets. The end of Feeling then dips down into a two-track journey of ethereal sound designs and soft melodies. Keeping the rhythm swinging, Flutter By settles the atmosphere with an IDM-inspired iced synth and pads. This change of emotion pushes depth into the record, providing a welcome surprise in Static Rush. Setaoc Mass then signs off with the final contribution to the EP, Overload. Pushing further than ever into melody with hints of Detroit electro and a complete absence of a kick, the producer teases a slithering arrangement that ends his record with a bold conclusion.
