Brooke
Hey, guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast.
Danielle
It's Brooke and Danielle back at it on another, hopefully beautiful Wednesday for you. We have so much to chat about.
Brooke
So much. It's been a week without seeing each other. And your hair is red. Yes, slightly red, slightly slight. Do you see it?
Danielle
I just noticed it.
Brooke
Oh, wow. I'm glad.
Danielle
I think it's. Especially when the light hits for sure. Because I've seen pictures and so I like. It's giving.
Brooke
Thank you. I'm actually so happy with it. So we did semi permanent color. I kind of lost my voice also. That's why it's a little hoarse.
Danielle
You're partying, so.
Brooke
Yeah. But I, like, feel, you know, like, the first day of, like, losing my voice, I was like, I can't. But today I'm like, I'm okay. I'm okay.
Danielle
Sexy little rasp.
Brooke
Yeah, little rasp hair. I got semi permanent color.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Because Mads was like, I know you. I'm nervous.
Danielle
Yeah, I know you, too.
Brooke
And I make these decisions. And I'm like, well, that's why I don't have tattoos and stuff, because I can't decide on, like, I would hate it the next day.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And that's why I've kept my hair the same, I think, for this many years. Yeah.
Danielle
It's so true.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Been a minute.
Brooke
Yeah. So did a little red tint. Inspired, I'll say it by. I don't even follow her. I just, like, stop a TikTok of her. Stassi baby.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Because there's, like, Dua Lipa red, which is, like, really red, and I feel like she's kind of like the, like, one level down from it, and that's like, my goal. So now I'm going to go back in for permanent color in two weeks and, like, really lean in and do it.
Danielle
So are you going to do a little darker or just. This will be more.
Brooke
More like, red. Like, it will look. Because right now is red in the light.
Danielle
Yes. But, like, because you want it to be read always. Yeah, I get that.
Brooke
I want to, like, if I'm going to do it, I want to do it.
Danielle
Oh, I'm so ready.
Brooke
Perfect.
Danielle
Time for the live shows. Yeah. Like, new personality unlocked. What is, like, your alter ego going to be?
Brooke
We got to think. We got to think something.
Danielle
I know we really.
Brooke
My pop star alter ego.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. I showed my mom a picture of Dua Lipa. I was like, not this red or whatever. You know how nice. Like, Mom's always.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
She's like, you're prettier than her. I was like, mom, it's. That's very nice of you, but I was like, this is. That's like, as if it's like a random girl that I just like, oh, this girl Susie from down the block.
Danielle
Oh, you're pretty than her. Don't even worry about it.
Brooke
It's like, that wasn't what I was asking, but it's really funny.
Danielle
I'm really excited. It's so pretty right now, especially with the light hitting on it. So it's gonna be so exciting when, like, no matter what lighting you're in, it's like.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. When I'm like, out in the sunlight, I'm like, wow, I really like this color, but it's just essentially like a tint on my right. Like, she didn't.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Damage my actual hair. We don't have to, like, bleach it. It's confusing how she's gonna do it because I was like, don't I have to lighter to go?
Danielle
I, I. Yeah, I don't know. I feel like, why would they bleach it? Because you're not going. Like, you're keeping your dark. You're just adding.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Into it. But yeah. I also don't know how that part works.
Brooke
I just always assume that when you get your hair dyed, you have to get it. But I don't know anything about. I asked Madge. She's like, we talked about this on our podcast episode together. I was like, I'm so sorry.
Danielle
Oh, sorry. I do forget. I did not take notes.
Brooke
Yeah. I have to go back and reference it. That's really funny. So I have. But let's talk about you. You just got back from Florida, boots on the ground.
Danielle
How crazy. About a week ago, I was like, all right, headed down, help some aftermath. Check in, check in. Little check in.
Brooke
And then.
Danielle
And then Hurricane Milton was on the way.
Brooke
Did you. When did that.
Danielle
Like, I did not know, like, when I was going down. I had no idea that Hurricane Milton or at that point. At that point, mind you, it was trop. A tropical storm. And I remember on Friday, I got there on Thursday. On Friday, I went over to my neighbor's house who their whole. Their first floor was their living room, their bedroom, like, completely gutted. And we were like doing their laundry and stuff. So we were going back and forth and she kept saying, you know, there's that other storm out there. She was like, tell your mom. Because my mom is so. Like, you know, it's gonna be fine. Like, there's.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So my mom didn't tell me. Like, I didn't know. Like, I wasn't looking because I was just focused on Hurricane Helene. And. Yeah. So then we were just watching it the next few days, and then we were like, this is actually happening right now. Meanwhile, our whole neighborhood is still today full of debris. Like, everyone's stuff is still out front from, like, taking their things out of the flood or the flooded houses. So. But you know what? I am so happy I went home. Like, I am. So that was such a, like, last minute decision. Like, a few hours before we came here and recorded, I was like, something is telling me I need to go home. And I think my mom was feeling it too, because I had talked Dr. And I'm so glad I went. I got to, you know, see my family, help clean up, see my neighbors, give hugs, all the things. And then also I just realized how much my family was underplaying to me. Like when we were in Alabama, I remember I was like, yeah, they were fully underplaying to me what was happening in our community because they didn't want to bother you.
Brooke
Or, like, what was.
Danielle
Because they knew how excited we were to be going there for this. You know, I have been talking about it for weeks, which was really kind, but I literally scolded them. I said, never do that again, because I would have flown directly from Alabama that Sunday had I known. And that's on me, too. But I've learned my lesson from that. And, yeah, so was there. I actually did get to go a little bright spot slash sad spot. I'd said I was going to my old high school for a celebration of Life funeral. So special. I also. It was just so nice to be able to go back to my school, and I hadn't been there in so long, my high school flooded. I didn't know that.
Brooke
Oh, really?
Danielle
Yeah. And they're not even near the I. It was wild. But that actually was really nice. And, like, me and my mom walked around the whole school, and so that was good. And then Sunday, we kind of had, like, a little gathering with, like, our neighbors, because a lot of them didn't have their kitchens. So we, like, catered a ton of food. But it was, like, weird vibes because it was supposed to be, like, a celebration. Like, okay. Like, we're, you know, we're gonna be okay.
Brooke
We're gonna be okay.
Danielle
We're restoring. And then, like, the news was, like, really happening that day that it was like a Category 2 hurricane, and we were all like, all right, gotta go. Like, the party lasted about an hour.
Brooke
And a half because everyone has to handle.
Danielle
We had to handle, so.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh.
Danielle
But I am so grateful for my brother for being down there. And, I mean, as this episodes out, like, honestly, I have no idea. So I don't want to give. There's not much to say right now because currently we're just waiting for it to hit, which is just such a weird thing.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But thank you guys all so much for your sweet messages and praying. Like, it's unfortunate, like, right now in this moment, I don't know, like, exactly how to help because it hasn't happened yet. But maybe we could put a few links in the description for you guys, like we did last week. But. Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh. I just am beyond. I mean, sorry. Isn't even, like, the appropriate.
Danielle
Like, it's been the best. There's no. I mean, your family's house is in Orlando, too, and it's now going. My mom and Michael went there, but now I'm like, are you guys gonna, like, it's just. I mean, that'll just be, like, lots of rain and wind, hopefully, but.
Brooke
And you just have to be in like a structure that was built like, to code or whatever.
Danielle
Right.
Brooke
Like, those are better. Like, then, I mean, not that that's the only thing you could do.
Danielle
It's good to be in like, big structures and like, houses that, you know, maybe have hurricane windows or more cement rather than wood. I don't even know. I have. My poor father. I called him last night. Like, I just need to stop watching the news. Like, I never watch the news. And this week I decided.
Brooke
I mean, how could you not? Like, it's so close to. I mean, it's all over my feed everywhere.
Danielle
That's what I was thinking too. Like when we were younger, like, we've had hurricanes come. Not like this since living in that house. But social media, like, wasn't. Oh my God. I. I'm like seeing meteorologists cry. Like, I'm like, I need to get off this app. Like, just because there is nothing to do right now. So hopefully.
Brooke
And they did the b. And they're going to be safe. Like, your family will be safe, you know?
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah. I felt good. My dad was like, not anxious at all. He was like, you know, we literally just. Brett, like a few months ago got a new roof and a brand new deck. Like our. I didn't even show you. We like, renovated our back deck. And if we hadn't in the last hurricane, it definitely would have ruined our, like, our house. Like, the back balcony would have like, fallen. Oh, my brother said so it's really good that both of those things just happened. So I'm like, trying to remind myself that my dad just got a few hurricane windows. So I just feel so lucky and like, privileged.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Have those things in, in place. It's just so scary. Cuz we're on the water.
Brooke
Oh my gosh.
Danielle
But I. My dad was like, please stop stressing out. There's nothing for you to do. You're stressing me out. And when my dad said that, I was like, all right, I'll shut up. Like, I don't want to, like, make him more nervous than he probably. He's trying to make us feel calm. And I really appreciate that. So anyway.
Brooke
But he also probably wants to be your dad and be like, it's taken care of. And like, I. I get that. It's like the line between like, the parent, whatever.
Danielle
Totally.
Brooke
Yeah. I have had that with my parents. We had a big thing a few years ago, like when I was in college. It wasn't even a thing. Just something happened I feel like with my brother, with my family, and I found out about it, like, days later, and I was like, that's when we, like, restructured the family communication. I was like, look, I know I'm not physically here with you, but, like, I want to know. I want to be in the know. Like, if you're telling Sal something big, you got to tell me, like, kind of like, I don't want to say at the same time, like, in the same. Like, wow.
Danielle
Yeah. So the same thing where they, like, almost want to protect you, you're not there.
Brooke
Yeah. Or they're like, oh, it's not the right time for me to tell her. Like, I want to wait till we have a phone call or, like, she's busy with T or whatever the excuse was. Which is valid. And, like, totally valid.
Danielle
You know why they think that.
Brooke
But I. We had a whole thing, so now it's like, almost like a running joke. They'll call me the bike, because we know you like to know.
Danielle
Wait, that's actually funny because I remember a few months ago, your mom called you to tell you some not news, and you were like, oh. But you're like. I bet you were also like, okay, I did tell her because.
Brooke
Yeah, because we know you like to be in the loop or whatever. Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Maybe I need to have a chit chat, so. But it's all because they're looking out for you, and they. For sure, you can't feel guilty because you knew, like, they were, like, thinking they were trying to be positive.
Brooke
Of course.
Danielle
So.
Brooke
But I'm just so sorry. I mean, that's not even, like, enough. I'm hoping that everything's okay, though. And I just text.
Danielle
Like, there's literally nothing to do, so I'm just trying to do my day. It's. It's, like, so beautiful here. I'm like, this is crazy how, like, up here is so nice and down there. But anyways, there's nothing more to say right now because by the time this episode's up, something's already happened, so who knows? But I do feel like we have so much to catch up on.
Brooke
So much.
Danielle
Because you had a banger this week.
Brooke
A banger.
Danielle
And let me tell you, I think I was texting everyone at that party. Send me photos. Send me.
Brooke
Like, I was next to Delaney, and she was like, I was texting. Delaney was asking for live updates. I was like, send her a picture of this. Send her a picture of this.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm glad, because I literally was like, I so Many of my people on Find My Friends were just all at your apartment. I was like, kat, Margo, Brooke. Oh, my God, I've got crazy. So how was it? Like, how was the lead up to the day? Like, the prep? You did way more than I even knew. Like the matchboxes.
Brooke
Yeah, I try. I. I wanted to, like, sneaky. Lean in.
Danielle
Yeah, a little bit.
Brooke
Yeah. I didn't want to make it like, you can't advertise. You know, I gotta manage the expectation. Well, how could I do? So I had a housewarming party finally. I feel like this was a big. Even my therapist was like, you know, you gotta celebrate. Like, you did this. Like, it's so housewarming. I was like, you know, it's. It's been months, but it's like, it took some time to get a little set up. My parents came. Ben's parents came. Yeah.
Danielle
They went to dinner before, right?
Brooke
They went to dinner before. Just the four of them. I was definitely, like, we did have done dinner, like, Ben and I, of.
Danielle
Course, and all of them.
Brooke
But they. They went to dinner, like, themselves before.
Danielle
And that's crazy.
Brooke
Yeah, I know. And apparently went great, which was good. Ben's sister and her husband came, and then my brother and his brought some friends. So they met for the first time, the boy. Because, like, have. Has your brother ever met Ryan sister?
Danielle
Yes. Like, Georgia.
Brooke
Oh, okay.
Danielle
Like, this would make.
Brooke
Because, like, I was like, wow, these are, like, such important people in my life. Like, I was trying to think contextually, like, when they would have ever.
Danielle
So Sal hadn't met Ben's parents, you're saying?
Brooke
Or his sister. Yeah. Yeah. So, like, all of the families got to me. But it wasn't like, just a family party. It was really for friends because I was like, oh, should I invite, like, should we invite Ben's grandparents? Like, should we? Yeah. Like, I wasn't sure how deep to go. It's also an apartment party. Like, I can't fit. Like, it was full.
Danielle
Brian said it was. It was a packed house.
Brooke
Everyone wanted to be in one room.
Danielle
I know. I thought you opened the doors to the other room. I did. Why would people. They want.
Brooke
And everyone got a tour. Like, people came in. Like, Ben would give them the tour. And, like, it was really. It was great. And I figured, like, maybe some people hang out in the second bed.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, we have a couch in there or in the hallway. Everyone wanted to be in the one central room. So it was like, at one point, it was like, body on body. I was like, wow, it is tight in here. I feel like I took a few notes about it. Oh. So in terms of the food, what I did so well. I was raised by my parents who they have parties, I will say, like, often. And I still. Yeah. And I thought that this was like, once again, things you think that are like normal and everyone does. Growing up, they had like big themed parties, like, for no reason. Like, they just had like a white party for like end of the summer, like, whatever. But like big done up, you know, like just fun party people. So I guess I was. I had people to consult, I guess about like, what to do. You guys told me Katie and Danielle, when we were on Nantucket, they were like, I was telling them about my party and I was excited. And I forget who it was. You were.
Danielle
I said, I said, are you going to hire a bartender? And you were like, I was thinking about it or something.
Brooke
I had that thought because that's what my parents do for their parties. They also get wait staff to like pass around the apps and stuff, which is so nice because then you can actually enjoy your party. Like, yeah, I don't have to be like, there's stuff in the oven. Like, you know, let me get it. Serve everybody.
Danielle
That would be so you. So this last for sure.
Brooke
And I knew that it was so many different groups of people coming and I was like, you know, I should. But I just didn't look into, like, who to hire. Katie had like a red cont and they were amazing. I have to say. Game changer. So you recommend 100%. I love, obviously for like a party of a certain size, like, if you're having 20 people, like, it does not make sense.
Danielle
That's a waste of money.
Brooke
Yeah. At first, when there wasn't like enough people in, the bartender was there. I felt like, awkward.
Danielle
Like, I was like, oh.
Brooke
I swear.
Danielle
Yeah, I swear.
Brooke
Yeah. But then once it got like, to a certain point, food wise, my favorite cane's fingers tray is like, you just. We have a cane's like kind of near us. So that's why we do it. You get the cane's tenders baked by Melissa, sent cupcakes, feastables, sent literally so many chocolates. I reached out to them because, like, it's like, oh, yeah, Ben loves the chocolate. Whatever. I was like, hey, we're having a housewarming party. I thought it could be a cute tie. And they sent like, I want to say 50 boxes of chocolate. Like, it was ridiculous. 50, like cases of 24. You know what I'm talking About.
Danielle
Yeah, that's great. So everyone can.
Brooke
Everyone went. Most people went home with the case.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
So people went, yes. I got custom, like, chip bags. I have seen people do this, like the Kardashians and stuff.
Danielle
I hadn't seen that before, so.
Brooke
Oh, wow.
Danielle
Really? Yes. Broken Machu Original.
Brooke
Original. On Etsy, you could get, like, custom chip bags made where it says, like, Lays and Cheetos, but it like, has your photo on it and you just.
Danielle
Put it on the chip bag.
Brooke
It came fully, like, ready.
Danielle
They were chipped in.
Brooke
You can get it with the chips in it. I was like, let me just do that.
Danielle
Yeah, definitely.
Brooke
Yeah. Fully inserted, ready to go. Yeah. Fully loaded. Matchboxes we got. I just like. Was like, all right, we'll just. Oh, I got. I paid someone on 5. This is a good party hack. Paid one on fiverr. Do you ever use Fiverr?
Danielle
Oh, yeah.
Brooke
I love this freaking website.
Danielle
Great things on there you can do.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Well to hire for things.
Brooke
It's great for, like, little graphic design projects and stuff. And it was. I went and did like, the $5 logo option and it gives you logos and I put like Ben and Brooks housewarming party. So I had someone, like, make a logo for the. Oh for our party and printed that onto round labels.
Danielle
Oh.
Brooke
And then I put it on cups.
Danielle
I was wondering how that happened.
Brooke
Yeah. So it was like, I don't know if that's the most inexpensive way to do it, but I assume that it is because I was like, all right, $5 for the design.
Danielle
Did they print it too or you got the design. Then you went to another.
Brooke
I got the design and I uploaded it to the. To Fiverr to sticker mule for those stickers or the labels, I should say.
Danielle
BT to like sticker website.
Brooke
Yes, I.
Danielle

Brooke
So you do have to. The thing with that is, like, you have to plan out. You can't just, like, do it the week of, like, I feel like if you're in custom. The freaking chip bags, like, arrived, like, two days before the party. I was stressing. I was like, all right, if those don't come in time, that's gonna be.
Danielle
In your snack drawer then.
Brooke
Or we already have leftover. Yeah. Ben was, like, in class a few days later and, like, some of his friends, like, what about the flashlight?
Danielle
Because I want to die. Because it's, like, a photo of Ben.
Brooke
Right. Oh, my gosh. Anyways, I hate to make the party sound like it was so fun without you. I hate that, you know when someone's like, you missed a great night.
Danielle
No, I know I missed it. I knew I was going to miss a great night. I'm glad it was a great night. Like, truly. Ryan and Delaney, like, took an Uber back together, and they, like, called me.
Brooke
Oh, God.
Danielle
And they were giving me the debrief of how fun it was.
Brooke
So they met everybody. Ryan was working the room.
Danielle
Ryan said he met Ben's sister.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Chatting with her.
Brooke
He was. And he was. They stayed till late. Like, not like the latest, but I was like, wow, they're still here.
Danielle
How late did people say? Like, when was the last person?
Brooke
2:00Am yeah, I had a baby shower the next day. So I was like, nobody start to clean. You're like, so I wanted this to go all night.
Danielle
Yeah. You're like, I did, but now I'm realizing I have a baby shower.
Brooke
Ye. Yeah.
Danielle
I could guess who the late nights were or maybe they're people, I don't know.
Brooke
But a cat closed it out. Yeah, she was. Oh my gosh, she's the best. And just everybody was so sweet. I just. Yeah, it was a really great time. Good to bring people together. Yeah.
Danielle
Margo, Margo. They were all there.
Brooke
Yeah. For sure. It was. It was a fun time.
Danielle
I love a house party because it's like, that's like a pregame how they're so fun and then you leave. It's like, this is something where you actually stay.
Brooke
Yeah. People are asking me like, are we like going out after? I was like, no, I'm not. You can, but can't go.
Danielle
Or what is it you.
Brooke
You can't stay here.
Danielle
You don't have to go home, but.
Brooke
You can't stay here. Yeah.
Danielle
After.
Brooke
Let's see what else I have.
Danielle
I saw you had slippers on. Was that an all night affair? It looked cute with your dress.
Brooke
Yes. It wasn't like originally planned, but then I was like, we were by the door and I was like, what are we doing about the shoe situation? Oh, yeah, just put down Oliver rugs. To be fair.
Danielle
Right.
Brooke
I didn't like. They're fresh. They're fresh.
Danielle
I forgot, I forgot you already had the rugs down and you decide shoes off.
Brooke
Ben said if it goes with your out, like if it needs to be part of your outfit, wear the shoes. If not, remove the shoes. Yeah, that's fair. So like girls that were wearing like tall boots, like, kept them on because it like shirt.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And then I was like, I have heels and I don't really want to wear heels.
Danielle
Yeah. So not everyone's gonna be wearing their shoes. Like, you don't. Yeah.
Brooke
So I was like, okay, I'll wear slippers.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I took like literally two photos. But those are always the best nights.
Danielle
Yeah, definitely.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Like, everyone took photos of you and you had disposal. Did you?
Brooke
Yes. Yeah, we put a label maker like we labeled stuck on the disposals. Like use me or whatever. I should have put use flash because the photos that you don't use flash. On disposable. Just do not come out.
Danielle
Oh, yeah. But you would have just hoped that people would know.
Brooke
But, like, how do you know? Yeah, so that was fun. Just I really do like hosting. Once you get, like, a bunch of the things, like, checked off, like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Then you can actually enjoy it. But I have to say, after the party, like, the next morning after we cleaned up, I was like. Like, it feels like a check off the list. Like, like successful. No one had any blowout issues. Everyone is safe.
Danielle
So no noise complaints.
Brooke
No. The amazing thing is you really. Because the. The living area is like, in the.
Danielle
Back of the house in there. Yeah.
Brooke
But when I was outside because I had to order more ice at one point. Of course, that always happens.
Danielle
You know, it's hard to know.
Brooke
But they told me. The bartender told me, like, he flagged me. He was like, in a little bit, I'm going to need more eyes. So, like, I was able to. So I, like, took the phone call of the UberEats guy in the hallway and I shut the door and it was silent. Like, I heard nothing. I was like, this is amazing. It must be soundproof in there.
Danielle
I'm so glad. And did you tell your doorman beforehand or.
Brooke
Okay. This was another thing. So Ben said, we're having a few people over.
Danielle
A few people.
Brooke
It's like, mean girls. Like, I got enough cheese and crackers for eight people. No, we were having. Which, like, we're not going to get kicked out for having a part. Like, you're allowed to have a party.
Danielle
Yeah. I mean, you own that place. Like, yeah.
Brooke
I mean, noise complaint valid. But you're allowed to be like, yeah, but I guess people were showing up and I don't know what they were saying. If they were like, I'm here for Ben and Brooke, or if they were like, I'm here for the party. And he was sending people to, like, the party room. Yeah. He was like, go to the 32nd floor. So then they would show up at the 32nd floor. The 32nd floor was some sort of Columbia University party, like a student club. Like, they rented out the space. So people were showing up. They were like, I don't think this is Ben and Brooks housewarming party.
Danielle
They seem a little younger than Brooke and Ben.
Brooke
And apparently they had a DJ and a bartender, too. I didn't get to check it out, but so they rented out, like, the space.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Brooke
So people were like, I got sent to the 32nd floor, but I made it here now.
Danielle
Well, that's good. Because it was it at an apartment or was the 32nd floor?
Brooke
Was like it's a space like rent out.
Danielle
Good.
Brooke
So they. I think they realized.
Danielle
Yeah, that's good.
Brooke
And then there was.
Danielle
They know what your apartment looks like too. Kind of. Yeah.
Brooke
I would assume that for most people. And we said like the unit number to say. I guess he was just confused. And then.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. He probably didn't realize also like you show up. They people probably like have. A lot of people were so nice and like brought like alcohol or something. So you show up with like a bag or. So many people brought flowers. Yeah. Which was nice because we said no gifts. Like I was.
Danielle
Yeah, please. I know.
Brooke
Seriously, don't. Especially alcohol. I was like, this was a party to clear out the alcohol.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah.
Brooke
It was the mission. But people would shop, I'm sure. And then the door. He's like. He probably didn't even say anything. He's like, 32nd. Go ahead.
Danielle
Oh well, they made their way up eventually.
Brooke
I'm so glad the Ryan and Delaney still made it.
Danielle
Oh yeah.
Brooke
They were very messed. Literally every person was like, and where my parents are like, where's Danielle? I see Ryan's here.
Danielle
Like, like thought that he was my representation. I said, Ryan, you will go as my one.
Brooke
That was really nice. I'm glad that he enjoyed his.
Danielle
I told Ryan I did this. I hyped him up. I was like, okay, so let's have this like bit going where it's like. Because I said Brooke loves a bit. I was like, you love a bit Tell. But it like wasn't even that funny. But I was like, tell or not? Don't even tell. Just like take lots of photos. Like Danielle wants photos and yeah wants photos and it could be a whole funny bit. Brooke will think it's hilarious. He sends me four photos at the end of the night. One of the chip bag. It was like. I think at the end of the night he realized he didn't do his deliverables. So he was.
Brooke
Oh, he was quickly. At the end.
Danielle
Yeah. Cuz Ryan's a very in the. Like he does not touch his phone when he's out and about.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
He's like, nope. And then at the. When he gets home, he's like, oh, okay. I'm like, yeah, yeah.
Brooke
This is like, okay.
Danielle
Delaney sent me photos, so it's fine.
Brooke
I was. I honestly, I gave Katie my phone at one point. I was like, normally I'd ask Danielle like, can you take a few clips of the like party and. But that's it, like, I. So I didn't really have my phone either.
Danielle
That's really nice. Well, I wasn't gonna bother you.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Did anyone. You don't have to say who, but did anyone show up that you were like, oh, I didn't know you're coming. Or like, you know, say, like, bring friend.
Brooke
And some people, like, yeah, sometimes some people, like, brought a plus five.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, no worries. Like, because of course, naval people cancel the day of. Or.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
RVPs, but don't show up.
Danielle
Yeah. And that's so fun.
Brooke
Lots of feastables, so we had plenty. Like, I wanted it to be. I didn't want it to be, like, open house.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
But I was like.
Danielle
Did the bartender. So he gave you a list beforehand of, like, what he needed?
Brooke
I asked him for it. I was like, all right, this is my first time using a bartender. And I just moved into this place. Like, I probably don't have all the, like, fixins. And he gave me, like, a basic list, and it was like, you know, coke, diet Coke, ginger ale, ginger beer, tonic water. I made a grave mistake. I thought. I don't drink. Really brave mistake. I don't really drink soda water. Like, I drink water and coffee and whatever. So I got tonic water.
Danielle
I didn't know club soda.
Brooke
You had club. What's the difference?
Danielle
Tonic water, like, tastes weird. It has, like, a lot of people drink it with, like, gin and tonic. I do not like tonic water. It's like. But he could probably mask it maybe, or. What did you end up doing? Did you get Lacroix or anything?
Brooke
I had some in my.
Danielle
Oh, that works. That works.
Brooke
But then people were texting, you know, better. I like, what can I bring? So then we just said, like, oh, you knew. I thought you could just bring some soda water.
Danielle
Yeah, easy.
Brooke
So that's what it's called. Yeah, Soda. Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Because you wouldn't get a vodka tonic.
Danielle
No, some people do. It's a bit aggressive, in my opinion. But people do drink gin and tonic.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah. No, people were ordering all sorts of drinks.
Danielle
Oh, I thought you had those.
Brooke
The Via Crota. These cocktails. I don't really care for some of the flavors because it's just not my personal taste preference. Like, a Negroni and stuff's just not for me neither.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
The espresso Martini, like, this will be my new go to. It's the perfect amount of sweetness. I definitely, like, felt it. Like, I felt.
Danielle
Oh, nice.
Brooke
Gypsy. The Espresso Martini, it's a four servings that come in this glass Jar.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
And he brought his own tools. So he brought his own. Actually, he brought a lot of things. He brought like syrups and like little bottles and stuff. Cat was like, he depotted his kit because it was unlabeled bottles of like a green liquid. And he was like, oh, that's my cucumber syrup. Wow. Yeah. And he spritzed something in Cat's drink and she was like, I didn't like want to ask, but like, I had to ask because like. Yeah, it's like an unlabeled.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Bottle. And he's like, oh, that's my vermouth. But like it doesn't say vermouth.
Danielle
Oh, did she get a martini? Is that one? Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Wow. I've never seen someone spray something, I.
Brooke
Guess get a little amount. He was really good. He was really legitimate.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
He's using the tweezers to put on the espresso beans. Very legitimate.
Danielle
So did he say like, get espresso bean? Like, did he?
Brooke
Yeah, because I was like, I'm going to use these. So once again, Via Groto craft cocktails.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, not affiliated with the restaurant is.
Danielle
Kind of confusing, but it's not. It's just their brand. Like if you see logo though, but.
Brooke
They like make them in Georgia, I'm pretty sure. So it's like, yeah, they're not making.
Danielle
Them in the kitchen. That definitely makes sense. But that's really cool.
Brooke
And I was like, I'm gonna use these like pre made. Because it's like a pre batch cocktail.
Danielle
Yeah, that's perfect.
Brooke
And he was like, okay, just get all the toppings for it. Like for the negroni, get grapefruit and like orange. Because he was gonna use the peel.
Danielle
To like sense love.
Brooke
So everybody had like a nice, well decorated.
Danielle
What seemed to be the most popular drink.
Brooke
Espresso Martin for sure. Like, we went through the most of that. I don't think you see one person drinking and you're like, they have that here?
Danielle
Yeah. Because you wouldn't know to order that.
Brooke
Yes. Oh, it made a little bar menu on Canva so easy.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
I saw that print them cvs. Like, I. What made you decide to do it?
Danielle
What to put on the. Was it.
Brooke
That was the Via Corona cocktails on there? Because I was like, that's easy.
Danielle
They wouldn't know to order that if. Yes, they didn't know. Makes sense.
Brooke
Yeah. I was like, that's what we're pushing because we have big bottles of it sitting there.
Danielle
And what was the music situation? So you didn't do dj.
Brooke
We wanted Ben's friend Josh to dj, but we were concerned about the connection and like, the, like, plug, like the tech of it all.
Danielle
Oh, yes, the tech.
Brooke
The tech plugging it into the speaker. And then he was like, oh, I actually haven't done this since college. We were like, well, I don't know if this is the time to test that out. So we just made a playlist and it was good. Ben was like, do you think it's fine it's all house music? I was like, probably not. Actually, that's probably not fine. But it ended up being fine.
Danielle
Are you kidding me? If it was my party, I'd play.
Brooke
Yeah, you're right. No. And everybody liked it.
Danielle
I think everyone expected that too. When they would play, it wasn't like.
Brooke
Wee woo, wee woo.
Danielle
Like, you know, like, it's always easier to talk over too.
Brooke
Yes. Less words.
Danielle
Yeah. Like no one was. I would assume it's not like a dance kind of.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
No, no, there wasn't really. I mean, honestly, there's no room full. Yeah.
Danielle
Freestyle circle or anything.
Brooke
Yeah, go back. Go.
Danielle
So fun. Yeah, I. I imagine, like, the bathrooms were a whole fun thing. The girls would go to the bathroom, take their.
Brooke
I. I assume I didn't really.
Danielle
Probably never peed once.
Brooke
I peed once. I think.
Danielle
Yeah, maybe.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Good for you.
Brooke
Yeah. The parents stayed for like an hour. My mom made it known. She comes in. We're only staying for an hour. I was like, no one was worried except for you.
Danielle
Were they having fun?
Brooke
Yeah, they had fun.
Danielle
What does your mom wear? I didn't even see, like, she wore of her.
Brooke
Yeah. I have one video. This.
Danielle
Will there be a vlog?
Brooke
Yeah. Katie filmed on. I was like, look.
Danielle
Oh.
Brooke
I would ask Danielle, but she's not here.
Danielle
Oh, Katie was probably on it.
Brooke
She got clips, she got. My mom wore like leather pants and a top. It was cute. Yes. She didn't consult me because she knew I was stressed with all of my other things that I had going on.
Danielle
Did you get like Glam Squad or anything that day for your hair?
Brooke
I had just gotten my hair done the day before, so I just.
Danielle
Oh, yeah.
Brooke
And I did my own makeup. I went a little heavier than normal, you know?
Danielle
Yeah. It looked a little roll. Yes.
Brooke
Thanks. So this was from Self Portrait is the. I love that.
Danielle
I feel like that's a go to brand for you. They have great stuff. Yeah. It's so flat.
Brooke
I want to put it on pickles so that people can rent it because it really is a gorgeous Dress.
Danielle
Yeah. It's a good dress to rent from. I love pickles.
Brooke
Yeah. All right, well, that's it. I, I, you were missed. I, that's all that I can say. Yeah. More housewarmings to be had.
Danielle
Yeah. No, no, not really.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
The next place you buy one day.
Brooke
Yeah. No, we were saying, we're like, that was so fun. I was like, wow, it'd be fun to, like, have a New Year's party or something. And Ben was like, next year, do.
Danielle
It for your birthday.
Brooke
Like a party? Yeah, like, maybe.
Danielle
But I know you didn't do anything really this year. I don't know. Something to think about.
Brooke
If I feel New Year's in two years is more.
Danielle
Or New Year's in two years. That's great. New Year's and two years.
Brooke
I think that that would be like a fun time.
Danielle
Like, I have time to recover from this.
Brooke
Yeah. Because New Year's this year, like, then it's like we're just hosting parties. Like.
Danielle
Yeah. Then it becomes like, oh, that's where we're going.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah.
Danielle
Well, if you guys change your mind, I would go this year too. No, I'm kidding.
Brooke
Well, you can have Al's warming still, technically. I mean, there's no, no, it's too late.
Danielle
Well, it was kind of like my birthday before we went to dinner that night. That was like, for like the girlies to come.

Brooke
That's fun.
Danielle
One day.
Brooke
One day.
Danielle
One day. I don't know.
Brooke
So we could do like a friendsgiving.
Danielle
Friendsgiving would be really cute. I have a big table now.
Brooke
Yeah, you do. All your furniture. Yeah.
Danielle
You got that big coffee table for my birthday too. My grandma got me a like eight person plate set. Like, oh, that's so luxe. So I got to pick it out, but I picked out these black plates. Of course, I'm just leaning into the dark.
Brooke
I. But it looks so, like, good. I feel like, so rich.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm really happy with it. So, yeah, it does look really premium.
Brooke
I love the coffee table. Is that like a custom order thing? Like, what's the lore behind that?
Danielle
The lore behind the coffee table is that I wanted this exact table that I saw on Pinterest and it, you know, usually on Pinterest you click on it and it takes you to the website. That was like the point of Pinterest back in the day. Well, this one it did not, but it Was this beautiful. It was like half the inspiration for my whole apartment, this one photo. And maybe we could put that photo in the newsletter and what you guys should subscribe to. Oh, yes, down below. What is the URL again?
Brooke
It's on sub stack.
Danielle
It's on substack. Yeah.
Brooke
I think if you go on sub stack and search gals on the go, you can find it, but otherwise it should be.
Danielle
Yeah, there's some really fun exclusive content on there. It's only exclusive if you don't join, but then. Then you're in on it. Yeah, but, yeah, so we can put the photo on there so you guys can see. But basically my interior designer, Sierra did a. I didn't even think to do this. A reverse image search and found it on this like random website. And she sent it to me. And she was. And it wasn't a cheap coffee table. And she was like, this look seems to be the exact one because the photo on Pinterest was the photo that this website used. But it was like everything was in Dutch. It was in Amsterdam. We were emailing with this woman back and forth. Like I had to like pay the customs fee to her, like, or whatever. It was like a whole thing. And then they sent me a photo. It wasn't custom made. Well, they make it to order and they sent a photo. And it didn't look like the one in it. Basically the one in the photo had a split in the wood, like, and I really liked that split. And the one they sent me was just kind of a slab of wood. And they, they said, they said, do you like this? And old Danielle would be like, yeah, it's fine.
Brooke
Like I said, the picture.
Danielle
A picture, a picture. If they sent it, I was gonna be like it. Here it is. No, no, no. They sent a photo via email. And I was just like, oh, my God. I. It's not the foot. Like I want to split in the wood. And they were like, no problem at all. We will make a new one. And I'm sure they'll sell that one. But they. So now they have two ready to go. But then they made a new one. It took a couple more weeks, but it was so worth it for me just to have that little split in the wooden. I was really proud of myself because. Just because it wasn't cheap.
Brooke
Yeah, you're leaning in and you and your custom order. When you're going through those efforts, you want it to be perfect.
Danielle
Yeah. So I'm really happy with it. This one has no drawers or anything. Like, my Last coffee table, but I did that because my console under my tv, it has so much more storage. So I was able to put the things that were in my last coffee table, like, in there. Like, all my candles now are hidden. They're not.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Under. Speaking of candles, I'm, like, having this thing with candles right now.
Brooke
Obsessed with them. Or like.
Danielle
Well, I love candles. You know that, like, as soon as my eyes crack open, I light a candle. And as a part of my family, as a whole's, like, you know, the seed oils.
Brooke
Oh, yeah.
Danielle
I'm starting to, like, realize that maybe I shouldn't be burning these candles all the time, which I already, like, kind.
Brooke
Of knew, because it's in the air.
Danielle
It's just in the air. And I don't typically get soy candles. That's not to say I'm gonna stop, but I've definitely been. And not like, as soon as my eyes crack open, I'm like, burning a candle anymore. It's more like, okay for a few hours when someone comes over, or like, when I really want to set the tone, which is really sad. But I'm realizing, like, you know, like, I got a real plant now. I got an air filter. I'm like, you know, let me just make the air a little better. I'm having this come to moment.
Brooke
It's like an air purifier.
Danielle
An air purifier. I forget what I said. But, yeah, an air purifier. I have to set it up still.
Brooke
I've been leaned in.
Danielle
Yeah, I know. You've had those for a while.
Brooke
Ever since the wildfires, like, last year when that went crazy.
Danielle
Sepia tone outside. Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. Ben always had one. And I'm not gonna lie, I was like, that's a little weird. But ever since we met, he was like, it's really important. It's really important. And, like, he's right. And I was like, okay, whatever. And then that happened. And I was like, wow, there is a cloud of black dust in my apartment.
Danielle
That's when, like, when you start to see it.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So that. Or like, I guess. Do you have a fan? Do you have any fans on the ceiling?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
In your place? Neither. But I remember, like, in college, I had a fan on the ceiling, and you'd clean it off. You're like, oh, that's like, every time you turn your fan on, that's the dust and the.
Brooke
Yeah, the.
Danielle
Oh, it's terrible.
Brooke
But I feel like with the air purifiers, they diminish the scent of your candles. I feel like I've noticed that.
Danielle
Oh, no.
Brooke
Because they've pure.
Danielle
Maybe that's good purifying there.
Brooke
Maybe it's counteracting itself. I'm like burning.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
My fall candle.
Danielle
But I have the definitely free idea for myself. I need to figure out how to create soy or like, good for you candles that have those like luxe scents, like those hotel that actually smell or they might. That might already exist. And if you guys know of brands, please let me know because I like those Amber Vetiver, like. And that made me also think about, well, we do need to do our fom all day soon.
Brooke
I know we need to.
Danielle
Even though I'm actually. I'm still doing well on my no spend October. Did I tell you I was doing this?
Brooke
You mentioned it. I didn't want to check in because.
Danielle
I know that's nice of you. No, I've actually done well. And when I say no, it's not like this October. Like if I go out to eat, whatever, if I'm buying groceries, stuff like that. But I haven't bought any, like, clothing or shoes or bags or like, anything for fun. I bought a few things on Amazon that I like. Like a organization bin that I needed for my cloth. I don't need it, but like, I did buy that for my clothes. But I'm really proud of myself. So I might have to wait till October, till November to do that.
Brooke
I'm happy to do it in November.
Danielle
But I feel like we're running out of time anyways in October, so.
Brooke
Yeah, that's fine.
Danielle
And guys, we have our Halloween costume.
Brooke
We do.
Danielle
I gotta thank you, Brooke, because I was like, really not actually stressed, but that was a nice text to get your idea.
Brooke
This came to me not in the shower, but in a moment of like.
Danielle
What can I. Yeah, I liked it.
Brooke
I'm not gonna lie. I. Maybe this. I hope it won't give it away. I was this costume in kindergarten, so I have. I'm like texting my mom. I'm like, give me the photo.
Danielle
Yeah, that'll be cool. Because side by side.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, my God. With. Yeah, yeah, it'll be good. Oh, my God. I can't wait. You guys are going to be like, it's not that groundbreaking or anything.
Brooke
No, no. It's hard to find something completely original at this point. Everything's been done.
Danielle
Like, everything's been done. We've like toyed with ideas, I guess. Can I say what we like about for a second? I had said to Brooke we should do Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia, Rodrigo. Not that they're besties at all, but.
Brooke
Like, that's kind of like iconic women in pop that are enemies. Almost not enemies, but the people.
Danielle
Yeah, they're kind of enemies, but we're not enemies, so it's fine. But I was like, that's perfect. Perfect for our hair color, whatever. But then we're at. Brooke had reminded me that we're going to see Sabrina Carpenter that week.
Brooke
So it's just a lot of Sabrina. Because it would be a lot of.
Danielle
Sabrina for me, I guess, which you were looking out for me, which I appreciate, of course. So now I. Yeah, you don't have.
Brooke
To dress like her for the concert.
Danielle
But I feel like people wear boots.
Brooke
And they lean in and.
Danielle
Yeah, no, I definitely like the dress. I was gonna wear. Like. Yeah, no, it was gonna be too much in one week for. For all of us.
Brooke
Do you already have an outfit for that that planned?
Danielle
I like got this because when I knew I had no spend October, I bought something literally on September 30th for it. I could.
Brooke
Gotta get it in quick.
Danielle
Yeah, I can show you a picture. It's nothing crazy, but I don't know. Then like we got like a mood board for. We're going on a brand trip to see it, which is so exciting. We'll talk about more later. But yeah, they like sent a mood board. It was lots of sparkles and mine doesn't include sparkles.
Brooke
It was giving gals on the Go live show. It was honestly like we could just use one of our app, which speaking.
Danielle
Of gals in the live shows are literally our first one in Philly is happening next month.
Brooke
I can't even believe it. It's coming up very. I feel like when we planned it, we're like months away. We're here and it's here.
Danielle
It's here and we're so excited.
Brooke
Get your tickets galsongpodcast.com click live show. Some people saying the website doesn't work. I've heard you have to turn off your WI Fi stuff. Like some WI fi's have the website blocked for some reason because they think it's spam or I don't really know, podcast. Yeah, like, I don't really know why. Maybe because it's like links and images. Like I don't. I don't know.
Danielle
We also could. Yeah, maybe we could link out a link tree or something too, just to make sure it's good. I'm going to read off the cities one more time just because maybe you think we're not coming to your city, but we are. So our first one will be November 7th in Philly. That's gonna be our first show, so it's gonna be a really special one. If you were on the fence, like, you should definitely come. It's gonna be a really intimate, chill, good vibe. I'd say December 6th, New York City at Town Hall. January 16th, Irvine, California. January 17th, San Francisco, California. January 23rd, Miami. January 25th, Atlanta. February 13th, Boston. February 20th, St. Louis. February 21st, Chicago. February 22nd, Cincinnati. March 6th, Houston. And March 7th, Dallas.
Brooke
Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, there are tickets available. Some of them less tickets than others. There's probably no meet and greets left, but it doesn't matter because we do. We go through the crowd. We go into the crowd. We give you microphones, we chat with you. It's very interactive. It's fun.
Danielle
It's. You leave with your face hurting from laughing so hard. From what I hear from. Oh, that's what I've been told.
Brooke
That's a good line.
Danielle
It's really. It's not just us sitting, doing the podcast. Like, truly. Not that that's bad, but, like, that's not what we do.
Brooke
Yeah. It's a show.
Danielle
We're standing. We're doing a show. We do sit sometimes because our feet hurt after a while. But we. It. We couldn't express enough, like, how much work we put into this. It's a really fun experience. It's the perfect girls night. Or even a lot of people bring their boyfriends, their husbands, which is so cute.
Brooke
Yeah. Bring whoever come alone. Even people make friends at the show.
Danielle
I meant to tell you.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I was on the plane coming back from Tampa, and I was in the shittiest mood. This poor girl comes up to me. She was like, I saw you from behind. I knew it was you because you had your sweatpants, jeans on. So I knew it was you. I was like, that's. That's iconic. She, like, wasn't sure. And then she saw this. She was like, that has to be it. But she said that she's going to our New York live show with friends that she has met through gals on the Go.
Brooke
Oh, that makes me.
Danielle
Has not met them in person, but next week, she's going to dinner with them. I know. To, like, get me before the show.
Brooke
Oh, that makes me so happy.
Danielle
And then they'll go to the show.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh. Amazing. See a lot of people come along.
Danielle
You.
Brooke
You turn to the people next to you, make a friend. Like, yeah. Really?
Danielle
It's that vibe? It's very much so. Like, open vibes. Like, I feel like everyone's just there to have fun and Totally. And you all have the same thing to talk about how much you love us. No, I'm kidding. But truly, you can, like, talk about all the lore and at each and every single show, there's going to be someone, a friend of our family.
Brooke
Local talent.
Danielle
Local talent.
Brooke
We've.
Danielle
We've already reached out to all a ton of our influencer friends that are in each city to be there. So it's gonna be a night to remember. And it's gonna be the night to remember. Maybe some surprises. Who knows?
Brooke
I don't know. Yeah, we're gonna have a lot of fun. Yeah, that's for sure. To end off the episode, since we're in a fall mood, we're talking about Fall mall. You're talking about your soy candles. Should we talk about some of our fall favorites?
Danielle
I think it's great. I'm like, finally accepting that summer's over.
Brooke
It was like 50, like, the temperature started with a 5 this morning.
Danielle
Yeah. That's when you know we're here. That's when you know knocking at your door. Yeah. So I do have a couple favorites that. That I'm loving for fall. This could be fashion. Lifestyle.
Brooke
Me too.
Danielle
Do you want to start us off?
Brooke
Yeah. I love right now. I'm wearing a sweater right now. Of course. Like fall sweaters, like, naturally makes sense. But I love the specific, like, style of sweater.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Where it's like a wrap sweater. I wore one of them on the plane to Nantucket where it has high.
Danielle
Yes. So cute.
Brooke
You could wear like a shirt underneath it or you don't have to. The one that I wore on the plane to Nantucket is from Quince. It's the Quince Mongolian cashmere wrap sweater. I also just got this one from Bowden. It's the Bowden cable belted cardigan. And it's like, love. Basically just one that you can go crisscross and it has like a string waistband.
Danielle
I like it. Add some shape.
Brooke
Totally. And it adds, like, it look. Yeah. It looks intentional.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Versus just like, I love a sweater, but like, some right now I'm just wearing sweater and jeans. It's like I just threw it on basic. Whatever. But that, it's like, it's like, oh.
Danielle
I'm cozy and snatched.
Brooke
Yes, you're right. Yeah. I really gives you a little waist definition. I love Quinn's too, right now. It's so good.
Danielle
Yeah. Quinn's has great cashmere.
Brooke
Right? At a great price.
Danielle
No, I really love Quinn's. I've been wearing this one sweater and on Nantucket a lot. I wore that. A sweater from Quinn's?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. Where do I even start? Actually, I'm gonna say rings because you're blinged out. I. Because I'm saying it now. I had it like later on my list, but because you were talking about sweaters, I feel like when I wear a sweater, especially if you've got a turtleneck going on or like a higher neck, I feel like there's not much room to wear jewelry. But that's where I've turned to.
Brooke
Rings.
Danielle
As you can see. If you're watching on video. I am blinged out. As Brooke said. I have lots of rings. My finger. But I think it looks so cute with your, like, hands peeking out of your sweater. It's just like a good way. And then obviously earrings. I'm also. Electric picks. I know you love electric picks, dude. They. You're wearing the electric.
Brooke
Yes. These are electric picks.
Danielle
We're both wearing electric picks. We love that.
Brooke
Like a statement earring.
Danielle
Yeah, just like a statement earring. And these are definitely not too expensive at all, which is great. It's a really easy way to elevate your outfit. Like, I feel like you say you're in a sweater and jeans, but it looks so cute because you have those earrings on too.
Brooke
Thanks.
Danielle
A little jewelry in general, but I got. I have like, different ring.
Brooke
Where are they from? Shout out Some.
Danielle
Three of them. The more blingy ones are from Catego and on Nantucket. But then these like layered two gold ones. A lot of people ask me about. They're from Pandora. And then this middle one was like my splurge earlier this year from Spinelli Kill Coin, which is like, it looks like three rings, but it's just one. And it's two tone, which I like because I can wear with silver.
Brooke
Oh, cool.
Danielle
You definitely.
Brooke
I don't think I've heard of that.
Danielle
One day now you're gonna notice them on people's face. Really? Yeah. It's like the girlies.
Brooke
Oh, it's. It's a thing.
Danielle
It's a thing. Now that I've told you, you'll see it.
Brooke
Yeah. Maybe it's a. It's a trend. That's cool. Okay. Also loving. We'll stick with fashion. I guess. I used to hate them, but I've come full circle and now I finally accepted the fold over boots.
Danielle
Oh, yeah. Oh, you didn't like them before.
Brooke
I think when I first saw them, I was like, I don't get the point.
Danielle
You felt uncomfortable when you looked at them. It's like, what's happening?
Brooke
Yeah. Like, explain this here.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
These are the boots that, like, it looks like they're peeping out from underneath something else.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. That's the best way that I could describe it.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I just got a pair from stod. Like, they are perfection. They're perfect in every single way.
Danielle
They're really. Yeah. Store there.
Brooke
Oh, my.
Danielle
Beautiful.
Brooke
I was looking for the perfect pair, like, at a good price point. I was like, I'm willing to spend a little bit, but not. I think it's Givenchy. That's like, the real ones that are, like, ridiculously expensive.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
But I wanted, like, a wearable pair. And they're so cute. I think Steve Madden has a pair, like, other ones, too. Yeah. And I wear a lot of, like, skirts and dresses, and I feel like if you're wearing like, an all black, like, mini dress or something, like, you wear those boots and it's. The boots are the outfit.
Danielle
Live show for a live shower.
Brooke
I could wear the boots for something. Maybe Philly. I'll wear the boots.
Danielle
Maybe it's. That's, like, good, like, for show.
Brooke
Yeah. And I have to see how comfy they are. I've only worn them in small spurts so far.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah.
Brooke
I need to take them out for, like, a long.
Danielle
Take them out for a long ride. A long ride. Like a tapping a horse. I love that.
Brooke
Yeah.
I am just so happy with the way my hair has been looking and growing, and it's just feeling so amazing. I have been adding in a little bit of color to my hair. If, you know, you know, I'm going red. I started with, like, semi permanent color, but now I'm going to do permanent color. And I want to keep my hair healthy and long and luscious. So I'm going to be sticking to what I know, and that is my Bondi Boost, HG shampoo and HG conditioner. You guys know we cannot shut up about this stuff. Danielle and I are in our hair growth era. I just feel like you kind of get to this point in, like, your 20s or whenever it may be for you when your hair growth just, like, kind of slows down. I feel like I always had, like, you know, pretty fast growing hair. And then I feel like I hit this point where I was like, wait, my hair's really not growing past this point anymore. And it's like, looking pretty thin in my hairline. What happened? So I decided to start using the HG line from Bondi Boost. I feel like I saw so many people online talking about this, specifically my friend Clara Purse. Her results are next level.
I feel like I saw her hair.
Growth, and I was like, okay, all right.
This is.
I'll be the judge of this. And I have to tell you, the growth that I'm seeing is crazy. I'm seeing so many, like, new hairs in my hairline. Mads, my hairdresser is like, you know, your hair is looking thick. It's looking full to feeling so strong and healthy, which I feel like is so, you know, important. So I'm. I'm really into Bondi Boost.
Guys.
This is it. I love that the bottles just have, like, a pump on them, so I just keep them sort of in my shower. I grew through the shampoo quite a bit, but I do use the HD shampoo and HD conditioner, but I feel like I'm. I always go through shampoo faster than conditioner. Anybody else? I don't know. The products are aloe based, and this.
Is for wash day.
I only wash my hair, like, a couple times a week now, but I feel like I'm still, like, getting the results. You know, this is going to boost hydration and fight signs of thinning, shedding, and hair loss. It's sulfate and silicone free, which I.
Feel like is big. A lot of, like, hairdressers are really.
Big on using products that are like that. And it's naturally powered by the HG signature blend. So that has, like, rosemary and saw palmetto, nettle leaf, and so much more. It stimulates the scalp. You feel it? Like, I like a little tingling a little. Like, I'm like, tell me that it's working. And I feel that.
But it also feels like it's, like.
Really cleaning, you know? So I am. I'm so, so into that. I also love the price point of this shampoo and conditioner. It's 24 for each or 43 for the bundle. I feel like it takes maybe like.
A week or two for your hair.
To kind of, like, adjust to the product, but then after that, you're in, you're locked in, and just stick to it. I feel like great results take time, and I'm, like, the least patient person ever. If you know me, you know, I'm like, all right. Is my hair grown out yet?
I've been using it for, like, about.
A year now, and I feel like I'm at Like, my peak now, you know, I'm like, wow, this is really, really working. Here it is. 90 of people using Bondi Boost, HGS saw longer, thicker, fuller hair in just a month. And a hundred percent said that their hair feels stronger and healthier. How amazing is that? So you can use code GALS20OFF your order on bondiboost.com or you can stop in your local Ulta Beauty to pick up. So once again, if you've been like, wanting to try Bondi Boost, maybe you've heard Danielle and I talk about it. Some other influencers, you've just. That's something in life. We're always on the hunt for the best shampoo and conditioner duo. And I'm telling you, this one, it's really good. I've gotten my friends hooked on it. They're all in. So once Again, use code GALS20 for 20 off your order on bondiboost.com or stop in your local Ulta Beauty to pick up.
Up.
I'm so excited. We're doing a lot with Bondi Boost coming up, so you'll have to follow Danielle and I on Instagram to see. We love Bondi Boost. We're very excited.
Danielle
I am also sticking to fashion. I know. I'm pretty sure you have these too. The skims cotton jersey, long sleeve and short sleeves. Those are absolutely amazing. I don't know what Kim Kardashian herself put into these shirts, but they are so flattering. Do you have any of these?
Brooke
These are. I don't know if I have cotton jersey, but the skims T shirts in general are like, half my cloth. I mean, like, that is the base. Every day when I get ready, I'm like, oh, I'm gonna wear this skims tee and, like, start. That's like the base of the.
Danielle
Yes, it's. Yeah, that's the best way to put it. They're a great base for an outfit. Yesterday it was like 60s, late 50s, and I was like, I don't need a jacket, but I wore just one of the long sleeve cotton jerseys with my sweatpants jeans, and I felt so good. Like, it looks so. Oh, my God, it looks amazing. Or if you want to do that layered look with like, a sweater over top with the white tee under. They're so perfect. I don't know what it is, but they, like, literally snatch your waist.
Brooke
I. I've never seen a teacher like this before. Yeah, but I feel like they don't, like, show your stomach at the same. Like, they do a job of, like.
Danielle
Still, there's, like, not rushing, but, like, it, like, la.
Brooke
Yes. Yeah.
Danielle
On your stomach, I think, where they.
Brooke
They have a bunch of different types, like the categories of the skin.
Danielle
Yeah. Well, there's the con jersey, which I love, which is, like, more of, like a. Like, softer cotton material, but then there's like, that one that's, like, almost workout material.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
I used to wear those a lot, but then, like, I didn't. I don't know. I was having trouble with them, so I went. Moved to cotton jersey.
Brooke
I have seamless. I think that maybe that's.
Danielle
Maybe seamless.
Brooke
Well, it fits. Everybody I know is in there too. Yeah. The seamless is, like, a different look for me than the cotton.
Danielle
Different looks. That's the best way to put it.
Brooke
I have both because it's like. Oh. Sometimes with, like, a skirt more elevated.
Danielle
The seamless.
Brooke
Seamless looks better.
Danielle
It's more refined. It's like that shinier material. More nighttime.
Brooke
Yeah. Nighttime.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Nighttime T shirt.
Danielle
My nighttime tea. Yeah. But no, the gals approve those shirts for sure.
Brooke
Love it.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Suede. I'm loving suede, obviously. My suede bag that I bought and I've used every single day since, you know? Yes. It's really so wonderful, but I'm just seeing suede everywhere. Suede juice, Suede bags, of course. Suede outfit.
Danielle
Like, yeah, I just bought a. Well, I bought it in September, but it still hasn't come, so I'm like. It's this brown suede trench.
Brooke
I love it.
Danielle
I'm really excited about it.
Brooke
Where from?
Danielle
Duchy. Love, Duchee. D, U, C, I, E. Emma Leger posted it, so I knew it was gonna be good, but it's coming from, I think, the UK or something. I don't know. I think they also make it to order. I don't know.
Brooke
God, it wasn't like, Danielle's on her custom order.
Danielle
Yeah, I guess so.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But, yeah, no, suede is so good.
Brooke
It just looks so expensive.
Danielle
So expensive. So fall.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
So lovely. Yeah. I guess suede really is.
Brooke
And kind of timeless. I will say. I feel like, you know, I feel.
Danielle
Like it's always been around.
Brooke
Exactly. But right now it's big in the 90s and whatever. Like, I feel like everybody's mom is like, a suede purse or something, like, in the back of the closet. Probably from whatever.
Danielle
But yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. So I feel like I'll, like, have it forever. I have the. This, like, medium shoulder bag from Prada. I think it's sold out. I would like everywhere, from what I understand. Like, Chocolate brown. And I've just. I knew I would wear it a lot, but it's. It's truly just every day.
Danielle
Pick it up. Go.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
It's so cute.
Brooke
How about you?
Danielle
I've also been loving the lip liner. I have always. I don't stray from lips. Today I'm wearing this crazy lip. I forgot I was putting on a red shirt. And then I have, like, this reddish orange lip because, like, NARS sent me this really pretty shade. It's actually called no shame. It's like, because Katie was wearing in on Nantucket, this burnt orange red. And I was like, oh, that's fun. But then I put on the shirt, but I was late, so I was like, you know what? We're just gonna keep it anyways. I like switching up the lip color. This lip liner I discovered during fashion Week by Makeup by Mario. I pretty much don't stray away from the makeup forever. Wherever Walnut lip liner, which is so great. But this Mario lip liner in the color tan, it's so it. I feel like it's really close to my lip color. It's just like a tan shade that you can put on and then like a clear gloss. It looks so she love. So been loving that lip liner. If you're on the hunt for, like, something that's not. This isn't pinky at all. It's like, tan. So, like.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm on the hunt for a nude that doesn't wash me out, which I feel like the makeup forever's. They have some.
Danielle
Yeah. They have so many.
Brooke
Yeah. Which I have. But I'm like, open to others.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Open, open, open minded.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I have been doing a little bit more eyeliner these days. Like, liquid liner. The house labs. Liquid liner is so good.
Danielle
Do I need that? I've been trying to find a good one.
Brooke
It's the. It's so smooth.
Danielle
Like, you don't have to, like, go over. No, I hate when you have to do that.
Brooke
It's the pet. The shape of the pen is great. Like, you know, a little. I'm still trying to work on, like, the.
Danielle
You do the wings, really?
Brooke
I'm working on it.
Danielle
Figure it out.
Brooke
Sometimes I go too far and like, I'm like, oh, like now I gotta work backwards and kind of try to like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Restructure. But I feel like when I'm on camera or like, if I have an event or something, I always like the way my eyes look when I do liquid liner and. Yeah, like a wing. I feel like it makes your eyes look Bigger.
Danielle
Like, definitely.
Brooke
So when we record, I feel like I try to do that because I'm like, oh, wow. I actually.
Danielle
Like, she's awake.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I feel like it's kind of fall, too. Like a little sweater and winged liner.
Danielle
Yes, definitely. It's very Taylor Swift.
Brooke
Yeah. A little wing. I think that's what I'm, like, trying to work on these days. Like, I'm like, it doesn't have to be this big, exaggerated, like, huge flick. Like, it could almost be so small that, like, if you see it, you see it. If you don't.
Danielle
Yeah. Like, you don't even need to see it. It's just, like, it opens up your eyes and you don't even realize it.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
That's really nice.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I love that liner. I'm, like, so obsessed with liner right now. I don't know how to do it. But every time I've got my makeup done, I'm like, please put lots of liner on the. On the waterline, everything. I'm like, just line me out.
Brooke
Yeah, line me up.
Danielle
Whatever that means. Obsessed. I literally talk about this every single year whenever we talk about fall favorites. But, like, I will say it again. It is this perfume by the brand Replica, Maison Margiela's brand. It's Autumn Vibes. I know I've talked about it before. I actually saved the note. Well, not the notes, but Autumn Vibes is woody and spicy with resinous and earthy inflections. It literally smells like you're walking through an autumn forest. Like, but, like, you know, not too naturey. Yeah, there's some spice in there, but I only use it during the fall, and it's a really fun, like, nostalgia. You know, we always. Yeah, it's a really nice scent. I do suggest smelling it, like going to Sephora or something. Smelling. Because it's. It's unique. But I love it so much.
Brooke
When I was on my. The Frenchie trip, we were outside and talking about, like, campfires, and they were like. I was like, damn, I wish that we could encapsulate that scent. And Donna Hansen. Yes.
Danielle
Did you smell it?
Brooke
She had it on her, and she had me smell it. I was like, wow, that really does smell me. Is it called Fireplace?
Danielle
I think it's called by the.
Brooke
By the Fire.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Mason Mar, that brand. I don't have anything from them.
Danielle
Do you not?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh.
Brooke
I just, like, never got it. I don't know. Yeah, I never got into that. Yeah. Because I'll have to give.
Danielle
You know, they, like, send Me stuff now. So I'll get you that email because they have great beach walk.
Brooke
I don't know. I'm not familiar with any of these. Yeah, I mean I know you use them if like Katie.
Danielle
No, of course you know them. But yeah. Wow. I just assumed.
Brooke
Yeah. Speaking of sense. And it is a candle. But I also have the spray.
Danielle
Oh I'm by the way. They're all over my apartment.
Brooke
Okay, good. It's the banana pudding candle and just banana pudding scent from Boy Mills. It's sweet but not like oh wow, there's a. Yeah. Sugar cookie like right here in the open. Like it's.
Danielle
I do love those though.
Brooke
It's. It. Honestly they sent me like a like a travel size like of it on and I get so many compliments especially.
Danielle
So you wear it and then I've been wearing it.
Brooke
The candle. I love it because it's like I keep in my kitchen. It feels so cozy and fall.
Danielle
That's nice.
Brooke
But then I feel like when I wear it I'm like, wow. I feel so like feminine and sweet.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
See?
Danielle
Yeah. Oh, I have.
Brooke
It's just a good scent. I really like it.
Danielle
So it's like cake bakery. Ish. But like.
Brooke
Yeah. The wearable. Not like.
Danielle
Oh, I'm really intrigued.
Brooke
Like not vanilla frosting. Cupcake bath and body works. Like it's not like that. No, it's more like. And it doesn't smell like food either. I guess I should say because sometimes I feel like it could replicate a food scent too much. And you're like. Okay.
Danielle
I don't ever understand. Like I've gotten a coffee candle before and I guess like if you want to light it in the morning for a little. But I'm like where are we going with this.
Brooke
Yeah. Stuff.
Danielle
Or like I've seen pizza candles before.
Brooke
That's too much though.
Danielle
It's too much.
Brooke
The thing with the coffee candle is like I would just rather the scent of the fresh coffee.
Danielle
Yeah, let's make some coffee.
Brooke
Yeah. Like if you brew an espresso or keurig, you get that scent.
Danielle
That's so true. Yeah. You never really know.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Okay, I'll do one more. Oh, headbands. And not particularly I like those head like just normal headbands but the cotton ones.
Brooke
The ear surgery.
Danielle
Yeah, the ear surgery. Brooks Ear surgery. Headbands. Love. I never really loved how they looked on my short hair. Cuz I felt like it just pulled up my hair and then I had no hair. But with the extensions, it's a really great lifesaver on those days where, like, the front pieces are a little greasy. I really like the look. I think it's cute if you put a little. Literally, like, I got your surgery, like, on my ears a little bit. I think it's so cute. All the girlies are wearing them, and I just feel so cute. And I just love having my hair out of my face. And I. I haven't been able to do a slick back since I've gotten my extensions, which I knew, but, man, do I miss that. So the headbands make me feel included A little. A little.
Brooke
A part of something.
Danielle
A part of something. Yes.
Brooke
So I need to get back on them. I feel like since I got my surgery, I was like, why would I ever wear headband again? Because, like, I.
Danielle
No, that would make sense. You're, like, triggered.
Brooke
But now I think fast and it's. I mean, it's practical as we go into the winter, in the fall. Yeah, too.
Danielle
Because it keeps you warm, your ears warm. I bet they have special thermal ones.
Brooke
They've thermal everything. Yeah. No spend. I know. It's like, prime as we're recording this. It's like prime days.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
I know it must be hard for you with no spend.
Danielle
It's really hard just linking things that.
Brooke
Yeah. You're like, I have this and I suggest it.
Danielle
Yeah. My, like, college group chat's going off like Danielle. Okay. Do I need the hatch? I'm like, yes, you do. I guess it's on prime day.
Brooke
Yeah. The vacuum. The Dyson V8.
Danielle
Yeah. But I'm just staying away. Really. You can check my order history. I'm clean.
Brooke
We'll have to verify, like, I just read a book and the guy, like, goes through the daughter's phone like, you know, like, she's like, 12. And like, you know, he checks just to make sure everything. Yes.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know you watched the entire thing, right?
Danielle
I watched the entire thing. I did not read it, though.
Brooke
Yes. Well, so you know what happens when she goes to camp? And so he's like, give me your phone. And used to check her phone and everything. And you're clean.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Or you're not. I don't know.
Danielle
Go let read.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Gosh.
Brooke
You'll have to have someone check for you.
Danielle
Yeah. Good old days.
Brooke
No spend. Check your. Print out your.
Danielle
Check my credit bank statement. Here you go.
Brooke
Yes. Well, this was fun. We. We always have a blast around here. Get your live show tickets. Subscribe to our substack email list. Follow us on Instagram, subscribe on YouTube. What else?
Danielle
Yeah. We've got like, it's not just Wednesdays for an hour. Like you got the girls on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. Like you really should have. No, like, we've been making videos for like 14 years. So, like you have lots of content to go watch.
Brooke
I think so too. But then you put up like a 13 minute vlog and they're like, they're.
Danielle
Like, it's not long. I'm sorry. Have you seen my last 500 YouTube videos?
Brooke
Anyways, actually a recommended from you popped up on my thing being the maid of honor. I didn't watch it, but it popped up.
Danielle
You mean my.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
