And now, from the mayor's office above the boathouse on the east shore of Spoon Lake, it's Garage Logic with Chris Reavers manning technology corner, Kenny Olson from the Crabby Coffee Shop, John Height in the newsroom, and of course, the RO Here is your Flashlight King fireworks commissioner and the keeper of common sense, your mayor, Joe Sushore. I don't have an ice out, but Charles Bednar requests a lilac update, please.
John Height
Well, that's true.
Chris Reavers
We haven't received and I have been studying the issue on my grounds and we're nowhere near color yet. But we have green budding on the lilac bushes.
Joe Sushere
You have a date?
Chris Reavers
Nowhere near.
Kenny Olson
That is exciting news.
Chris Reavers
Thank you.
Joe Sushere
You released a date, I believe, a year or two ago. It's always around the 20th of May.
Chris Reavers
Something about that. Like that. Somewhere around that. Chris? Yeah.
Joe Sushere
Sorry for helping out the conversation.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, stop helping. Okay. A lot of fraud news and boy, am I tired of fraud. But that's the condition of this state. Well, let's start with an Ilhan Omar update.
Joe Sushere
Oh, we do need Ilhan Omar.
Chris Reavers
Because you have some audio regarding Ilhan and we see that she's here is your latest Ilhan Omar report on Garage Logic. It is my understanding that there's been a motion by the legislature to issue a subpoena for Congresswoman Omar to produce documentation relating to the Feeding Our Future scandal. But that has failed to gain enough support in the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee. Per the agreement for working together in tied house, the committee was given authority to issue subpoenas. But with six votes needed to do so, the committee's five Republicans offered support and 3D flers opposed that. I wonder why.
Joe Sushere
Tribalism.
Chris Reavers
Representative Kristen Robbins is the committee chair and she's pointing out that Omar authored the MEALS Act. We know that Ilhan Omar had some role, whether it's inadvertent or not. This is Robbins. She passed the Meals act in March 2020. That took the guardrails off the federal school nutrition program which the conditions for Feeding Our Future Robin said. She said documents from a Feeding Our Future case have been requested and the Democratic congresswoman has been asked to appear before the committee multiple times. The latest in an April 22 later with a May 5 response deadline. That was yesterday. Ilhan Omar did not respond. The only tool left for us as a committee if we want to get those documents is to issue a subpoena. Robin said. And the Democrats, as we now know, have blocked that attempt. We've never done this in the history of this committee. We've never done it in the history of this body, and we don't do it lightly. We thought it'd be very helpful to understand from Representative Omar's perspective how she thought the MEALS act impacted the community, why she brought it, and what communication she had with the fraudsters. I think it's very material to our understanding how we got there. Even if Omar were to testify in information, either. I'm sorry. Even if Omar were to testify or information is received. Dave Pinto said he does not see the committee doing anything with that information. Pinto is a fairly benign DFL reliable legislator from St. Paul. I don't know what he's ever accomplished, but the signs go up and the Mac Groveland area and Pinto gets elected. I don't know why you people aren't more critically thinking about who represents you, because, you know, just in that neighborhood. Let me just address Very nice neighborhood. You're all euphorians pretty much, and you're getting robbed as much as anyone else. I don't know why you would find that acceptable. You're getting fleeced. It doesn't make any difference what your political leanings are in this state. Were all getting fleeced. And here's your chosen representative, this Pinto character, who said, well, even if we got the information, there's two weeks left in the session, we probably wouldn't do anything with it. And then this again, is Pinto. We know the president and federal administration have got no hesitation going after political enemies and investigating them. If there's any sort of wrongdoing by Congresswoman Omar, and if there's no wrongdoing by Congresswoman Omar, I have no doubt the Trump administration will do all it can. Well, he's conflating two issues there. He's playing a political game by trying to shunt this off on the Trump administration, which has nothing to do with fraud. Zero.
Joe Sushere
It's almost like it's something.
Chris Reavers
The fraud in Minnesota has nothing to do with Trump, but this state is getting away with. Anything sour is blamed on Trump, including by this Pinto character, who is virtually unknown to many people in his neighborhood, but yet they continue to vote for him. He's duplicitous and disingenuous and has nothing to offer and has done nothing to help the city of St. Paul. As far as I'm understanding, for being a rep in the city, you'd think there would be a little more. He'd be out there.
Josh Arnold
I don't know.
Chris Reavers
I couldn't pick him out of a police lineup. Can I pay attention? But the point is that we have a committee in the state of Minnesota that wishes to make inroads into fraud and prevent it. And I think no matter where you are in the tribes, you'd have to agree that Ilhan Omar would be a very principal and interesting figure to talk to. She brought about the bill that created the. The feeding frenzy during COVID the Department of Agriculture. Well, it was written by her that the Department of Agriculture should relax its rules in dispensing funding to the states so they could feed the millions and millions of children in Minnesota. I'd like to see or hear what she thought and why she thought that would be a good reason at the time.
Joe Sushere
Would you like to hear from Kristen Robbins?
Chris Reavers
Yes.
Kristen Robbins
Members, as you know, we have reached out to Representative Ilhan Omar on multiple occasions, inviting her to testify and inviting and. And requesting documents that appeared in the trial exhibit of the US versus Amy Bach. Her office or her staff. Staff was named in multiple trial exhibits, and we have endeavored in multiple ways to get access to that, because, as everyone knows, Representative Omar had some role, whether inadvertent or not. She passed the Meals act in March of 2020, and that took the guardrails off the federal school nutrition program, which created the conditions for feeding our future. And so we invited her to testify about the law she passed. We invited her to testify and talk about the documents that are listed in the court case. And she has never responded to our multiple inquiries. So then we sent a letter after the hearing two weeks ago saying that we would like her to respond with those court exhibits by today, May 5th. Once again, she has not responded in any way to our inquiries. And so the only tool left for us as a committee if we want to get these documents is to issue a subpoena. We have never done this, members, in the history of this committee. We have never done this in the history of this body, except for ethics investigations. And I don't do it lightly. But Representative Omar is a public servant. She had a direct involvement in creating the conditions for feeding our future. And as a representative of Minnesota, I believe it's important for the taxpayers to understand the role she played and understand the role her office played in communicating with the defendants in this case. Under our rules, the committee is permitted by a two thirds vote to request the issuance of a subpoena in the conduct of any investigation or activity or series of investigations or activities within the jurisdiction of the committee. Our nonpartisan staff has drafted the subpoena which was in your packets. And with that, we would like to have a vote on subpoenaing Representative Omar for the documents in question, as outlined in our letter dated April 22, and is outlined in the subpoena.
Chris Reavers
And the subpoena failed because the Democrats will not vote to subpoena her, including this. This Pinto character.
John Height
How.
Chris Reavers
How can they deny that? We just want to hear what you have to say. Do you have more detecting her?
Joe Sushere
I do. There's another clip. Excuse me. Kristen Robbins was on with Harris Faulkner on Fox News, and there was also a clip of Michelle Tafoya as well. I don't know which one you would like first?
Chris Reavers
I don't really need either of them if they're good. If there's nothing new offered. Where did Harris land? Pardon?
Joe Sushere
Fox News.
Kenny Olson
Fox News.
Chris Reavers
Well, have you heard about the Lindbergh kidnapping?
Kenny Olson
I didn't know if it was CNN or Fox News.
Chris Reavers
No, no. It's been ages. I have a letter from a fellow whose name shall remain with me, but he's written before and I trust him. And I'm going to read this letter regarding DHS corruption. As I've written previously, I am affiliated with dhs, though not in a way that would have direct knowledge of financial decisions or anything to do with the fraudulent activity that's been happening. Still, I can make some educated observations about the personality types who seem to work there. Perhaps some of those in leadership roles or otherwise are corrupt themselves, gaining through the fraud, but I think it is much more likely it is endemic of an organization largely employing very progressive, ideologically driven women who have all been similarly miseducated in the failed academy and WHO Dr. Gad Saad said would decree as suicidally empathetic. Empathy is a wonderful trait, but empathy without guardrails or critical thinking is this damaging as any other personality trait that is recognized to be dangerous on its own. Everything, it is my experience, and I mean everything, is driven at DHS by race, perceived victim class status. It seems much more likely the people in charge, and in many cases the people simply working at dhs, are incapable of seeing someone with other than white skin tone as anything but people to be felt sorry for and given whatever it is their perceived needs are. Even right now, with all the nonsense happening with taxpayer dollars, the emphasis at DHS seems to be around the difficulty caused by additional compliance demands and then having employees be mindful of cultures through a thing called idi, the Intercultural Development invent. Each employee, at least with the Behavioral Health Division, is being required to complete what seems like a nonsensical assessment and then have individual meetings with qualified people to develop a plan to better understand cultures different from one's own. I fear in order to see meaningful change, it will take more than a change in leadership at DHS and in the governor's office, though I very much favor both of those things, that is that that is some deep thinking, and it is my fear that that's more on target than the idea of there being two or three hardcore crooks running the show. It is my fear that this state has lapsed into such disregard for conventional American exceptionalism that they are stocked plumb full of people who have bought into the idea that somehow they have a responsible to cure the oppressed and the taxpayers in Minnesota are viewed as oppressors and that money is being used. To pay the oppressed. And.
Joe Sushere
You're saying that it's become its own business.
Chris Reavers
This is the way they're doing business. A leg up it sounds like, is automatically given to someone of color. I think his last paragraph was referring to any new information the DHS now demands of people requesting money there. It sounds to me they're not worried about granting more money. What they're worried about is the difficulty someone might have understanding the compliance requirements. So they want to make the compliance requirements more. They want to dumb down the compliance requirements would be my guess of what he means.
Joe Sushere
We.
Chris Reavers
Once in a while you get a loose cannon. Kenny and Jay had a woman named Fay Bernstein on from the Department of Human Services and she smells a rat. You get that loose cannon once in a while. She hasn't consumed all the Kool Aid. Apparently you get loose cannons like the ethics complaint department that Christian Robbins is heading. And then they, they meet resistance, they meet a brick wall when they also need Democrats to join them in ferreting out the wrongdoing. Because I think we've reached a point where to the Democrats in this state, they do not view this as wrongdoing. They view this as their noble effort to correct wrongs. And in their estimation, they look at the rest of us and wonder why we don't get on board with this. And well, I don't get on board with it because I don't care if you're flying the fraud flag in front of your house and you've got the sign up that says everyone is welcome here. And you've got the sign up that says we believe in science, we believe in this and that you are still being robbed. It doesn't make any difference. Those signs in your political beliefs are not protecting you from the theft that is occurring. You're contributing to it. Now maybe you're comfortable with that. Maybe you have, maybe you have made peace with yourself that you, you pay your taxes. And if, if the elected officials you voted for want to steal some of that money and spread it ways, apparently you've gotten comfortable with that. I, I, I am not, I am
Kenny Olson
not the willing to pay for a better Minnesota crowd. Remember when those signs turned up 10 years ago?
Chris Reavers
Sure. But I don't see how this theft is producing a better Minnesota.
Kenny Olson
Okay, so you're talking about elected officials, politicians covering for appointed officials at dhs. Right. Do you think that the DHS officials both appointed and hired just typical employees? Are they following orders from the politicians or are they going out on their own?
Chris Reavers
No, I would suspect there they have to meet the requirements expressed by their superiors. I don't think they can wildcat it. But you have Democrats covering now for Ilhan Omar. It should be completely the opposite. Ilhan Omar, who represents us should be here talking. She should be laying out and presumably she would be laying out. Why? She's an absolutely innocent party to all this. Well, I would like to hear her say that and that they're covering for her. They don't even want to risk issuing a subpoena to her. So I think this fellow's thoughts have a lot of merit and I fear he's correct. And the reason I fear it is that's going to be much harder to correct than anything else. How do you change the ideological mindset of these thousands of government workers who have infiltrated the government and have had a great, great free pass by this governor and this trifecta that's been in operation? How do you change that ideological landslide that has taken this state to this position? And I do not have an answer. I don't have an answer because I fear that more than I fear. I fear that more than I fear. I think Ilhan Omar, if I had to guess, is a very sharp character and is very, very in tuned with taking advantage of this ideological mindset. I think I've stopped short of accusing her of anything. I'm saying that I think she sees the orchestra and knows how to play it without a doubt and, or knows how to conduct it, let's put it that way. I don't think Walls does. I think he's a moron. But he's a useful moron because he'll go along with his virtue, signaling he's played this game all the time. If you'll recall how he always likes to say we're neighborly, we're friendly, we
Joe Sushere
want to, you know, took advantage of our generosity.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, and it's all bs. It's just, it's complete bs. The, the truth. You can be flying that new flag with two shades of blue and a star. That's meaningless. You can have all the signs you want in your front yard, including ice out in your window. Hell, we got that in the window. I didn't put it there. But you can have all of that and you're still being robbed. And again, I can only conclude you're comfortable with that. But I Would ask you, how is that making Minnesota better? What good is coming from this theft? No, people are getting helped. The people who presumably we invented the Department of Human Services to serve. They're not getting helped. So why are you comfortable with this? No one can offer you an example of the help that's being accomplished. God is a long forgotten thing for everybody except me. Oh, I can't hear that again. He's other than. He's pointless. He's just pointless.
Kenny Olson
Other than this subpoena which failed, are there any other avenues for us locally in the state?
Chris Reavers
I don't see how. I don't see.
Kenny Olson
Yeah, we're going to have to lean on the feds then.
Chris Reavers
I don't think this state has the man or women power in place who want to unravel this. I just don't think it exists.
Kenny Olson
It's interesting how nobody wants to name names, isn't it?
Chris Reavers
And Kristen Robbins, who was going to run for governor, she dropped out. I don't know. She never did give a reason, did she?
Joe Sushere
No, she did. In her statement she said her work needs to focus on getting Minnesota back on track.
Kenny Olson
Retiring this fall. I mean, she's stepping away from.
Joe Sushere
Oh, that I did not know. Okay, that would make sense then.
Chris Reavers
But the task I think of correcting this is even more monumental than we ever imagined because the correction involves changing people's minds. And I think we live in a state that has settled into a groove of being very accepting of this behavior without any evidence whatsoever that it's doing anyone any good. That's the shame of it. If you could point to me how all of this theft is somehow enriching lives, lifting people up, having them turn away from theft and going out and working and creating a life for themselves, that'd be one thing, but I'm not seeing that.
Joe Sushere
Well, some are being enriched. They're just living in Kenya.
Kenny Olson
Just leading to more theft.
Joe Sushere
Wasn't there an island? Didn't somebody buy an island in Kenya?
Chris Reavers
I had an errand last week that took me over to the Cedar Riverside neighborhood.
Kenny Olson
Oh, lucky you.
Chris Reavers
At night? Oh, no, it was still light out. But I mean, you know, six o', clock, seven o' clock at night. And I was. I hadn't been there in ages and I was shocked. I was seriously shocked.
Kenny Olson
What'd you see?
Chris Reavers
Closed businesses. People walked in the costumes that require them to be completely covered. I didn't see evidence of liveliness. I didn't see commerce. I didn't see a gung ho attitude.
Joe Sushere
Hungry kids. Were there a lot of hungry kids.
Chris Reavers
Didn't see a hungry kid.
Joe Sushere
How about autism? Was there a lot of autism?
Chris Reavers
There were a few centers for it.

Nope.

Yep. 100% so fun.

Those days are long gone.

Well, maybe you can ride away your anxiety on an electric bike. I have a note from Larry who writes, I reached out to Tim and Kalyn. That would be the Blooms who run ecofund Motor store service. No dinner. Eco Fun Motorsports. I did some online research. They did some online research and found us some batteries. I was able to order for them and I should have them in two to three weeks because I was told by Bintelli that would be two plus months before we could get new batteries. That's when I turned to EcoFund and they came through. Thank you very much to Tim and the staff at ecofund. We will be back when it's time for new bikes at Ecofund Motorsports in Forest Lake, Columbus, right on Highway 97 immediately west of 35. There are 400 electric bikes in stock. One of these days we're going to have a spring stretch of weather, a great riding day. They've got the electric bikes there and you don't need to leave there without the correct fit and height and handlebars and equipment. They'll take care of you. They have 130 motorcycles on display. They have the youth recreational equipment. They have jet skis and wave runners. And purchased now at EcoFund, includes the free trailer. That's a $1,500 value. I have told you before and I continue to insist it will be the most fun store you'll ever enter. It's ecofund Motorsports down in Burnsville on the service road of life near County Road 42 and the flagship in Forest Lake, Columbus on Highway 97 immediately west of 35. I think I've waited long enough. I don't think karma will be a factor anymore. The plow is coming off the plow truck this week. You are bold in northern Minnesota. Never know in this state.
Joe Sushere
You're right.
Kenny Olson
That means it's time for spring maintenance, the old routine. And with this old high mileage, this old gal, that means dumping in a generous amount of seafoam motor treatment into the crankcase and then putting a few miles on her before changing the oil and filter. I'll also give her a sip of seafoam transtune. A couple of places for that, actually, in both the tranny and the power steering reservoir. But it'll help with shifting the quality there and the hard steering. Both of those, boy, they really work hard in the winter. So this is just a little insurance to keep things working great. And then right after the plow gets washed, you know what I'm going to do? I'm really going to splurge. I'm just going to coat the whole thing front and back with seafoam deep creep just to help prevent surface rust during its long Summer nap seafoam. You know, when you have it, it really makes routine maintenance fun. And that engine additive as we all know. Say it with me. A wonderful product in a world of bad gas.
Chris Reavers
Another great email. Is there any evidence that I can't use this fellow's name? No. This is from Jeff. Joe, I will preface this missive the same as the one I sent you recently about the importance of getting information out and about the candidates in the upcoming election for governor and senator. And that is that I live in downtown Minneapolis and have seen in a few short years my city being systematically ruined by electing the wrong candidate candidates, especially for city council. And that if we don't immediately start electing the right people to these positions, I will be forced to move out of a once great city. We were all ignorant of what was happening right under our noses, but now we know better and it's time to start supporting and platforming the right candidates who will turn this sinking ship around. And so on my last post to you, I said that you have a platform to actually be a part of getting the right people elected by having conservative candidates like DeMuth and Tafoya on your show and show g lers that there are candidates out there to vote for so we don't have to continue our dismay of the destruction of our once great state. And that brings me to your mention of having Klobuchar on your show, Amy Klobuchar. I fear that in doing so, if you don't conduct a tough but fair interview, you could actually end up giving her a better chance to win in the fall. She is slick and without pointed questioning, she will say that she will eliminate the fraud, make our streets safer, suspend support business and blah blah blah. Just two weeks ago you had a story about how she and Tina Smith co sponsored an amendment to a bill put forth by Ilhan Omar that had to be withdrawn because it was found to have been fraudulent. No, that's inaccurate. It was found that the money was going to a fraudulent situation. This is the true Amy Klobuchar. You need to bring that up. And also point blank ask her if she supports the Marxist members of the city council and her views on socialism. You also need to ask her if she supports the fraud flag over the true flag. She of course supports the fraud flag and that should be enough to disqualify her. And then back to my suggestion from a few weeks ago. Have on the real candidates who will get us back in the right direction. These are the people GLers need to know about so they can start making smart choices when it comes to voting. A few weeks before the election for the city council, I started to look into the candidates to see what their stances were on the issues, like supporting police and business. And that led me to finding out about Elizabeth Schaeffer and her opposition to democratic socialism. And I spread the word to my fellow condo owners, and somehow, miraculously, we got her elected. And that knowledge about who to vote for has made all the difference in writing the balance in the city council. So voting for the wrong candidates got us into this mess. And the only way out is to vote for the right candidates. So I implore you to use your platform to showcase the candidates who we must vote for, or else we are doomed and I will be forced to move out of a city that I was once proud to call my home. So politely, don't mess this up. Be tough on Klobuchar and point out her hypocrisy, and then get on the right candidates we must be voting for before it's too late. Sincerely, G.L. jeff. Well, two things. One, it's only May 6th. I don't want to turn this show into a litany of bringing candidates in for office. It's too early. I can't take it. And two, yes, we do want to talk to Amy. Amy has agreed that she'll talk to us, so you're in charge of that. And don't worry, Jeff. I know how to interview her. And I would dearly love to talk to her. It'll be civil. It'll be great. But, yeah, Amy's gotta. We gotta have a Come to Jesus meeting. Cause right now, Amy is probably the de facto default winner just by the fact that she's Amy and she's got that big DFL sign next to her. But right now, she's a tremendous risk that what we're seeing in the state of Minnesota will only continue. She has to convince us that that's not what she wants. She wants to return to some degree of. Not degree. To a total framework of responsibility and ethics and truth. There can be no more stealing. She has to convince us to. That there can be no more stealing. I already know what I want to ask her. I'm glad that Amy's coming on with us. We just don't know when.
Kenny Olson
Joe. She would have to go against the entire Minnesota dfl.
Chris Reavers
She has to go against the ideology that the unnamed emailer sent us. She has to go against the ideology that this is all okay because we're righting wrongs she has to go against socialism. Yes.
Kenny Olson
Do you see that happening?
Chris Reavers
I'm withholding my opinion on that until we have our day with Amy in here. I want to talk to her. But during her press conference she did want to distance herself from Governor Walz. Well, she did so clinically. I know. I'm just. At least she gets that much.
Joe Sushere
Might I offer up a comment to help answer everybody's question?
Chris Reavers
What do you got? See which gets filled first.
Joe Sushere
You can wish it what had and crap or the other. She's not going to go against any of Kenny's. Kenny nailed it. There's no way she's doing that.
Chris Reavers
Amy deserves her day in GL&I, I.
Joe Sushere
I'll hold my breath.
Chris Reavers
I'm looking forward to it. I'll hold my breath.
Kenny Olson
You're gonna have to be really really, really tough. Tougher than you've ever been on any candidate.
Chris Reavers
I know.
Kenny Olson
Including those Republican clowns.
Chris Reavers
I know how it works.
Joe Sushere
Hey, let me. But let me.
Chris Reavers

But.

Great woman. Kind. Kind. But she's got a snowball chance in hell.
Joe Sushere
We all want her to get elected. I'd vote for tomorrow if she was on the ticket.
Chris Reavers
Great human being. But she's.
Joe Sushere
She's, she's got an uphill challenge.
Chris Reavers
She's gotta put on boxing gloves and that's not her style.
Joe Sushere
But there's no way the likes of Amy, the people that surround her. There's no way she is gonna be put in a position where someone's gonna ask her a tough question about.
Chris Reavers
That's fine. Don't worry about it. Let's just leave it at this. She has an invite to appear here. If I know Amy, I think she'll honor that.
Joe Sushere
And I hope you're right. I really do. Cause I think it'd be a fascinating conversation.
Chris Reavers
I think she'll honor that. I don't have any fear that she'll stiff us. Right. Ruck. I will make it my.
Joe Sushere
You'll make it your what?
Chris Reavers
My dinner. Now you wonder sometimes. I know you do. G. Ellers.
Kenny Olson
Yeah.
Chris Reavers
What are you wondering? Staff? Everyone listening? I know you wonder sometimes. Why does he have to call it the failed academy? Why do you call it the failed. I have wondered that over the years. I have an email from a friend named Scott who, who says. And I want you all to strap yourselves in. Strap yourselves in. You ready? What do you mean by that? That might be germane to this email. Hey now. Hail the flashlight. King. Good morning, Mayor. I just wanted to pass along the latest sign that Minnesota may have officially driven off the rails. This little gem showed up on an alpha news report this week, and I honestly had to read it twice. Then I had to fire up the Google just to confirm it was not satire. Apparently Minnesota State University Mankato's health clinic. I don't need interruptions. Apparently, Minnesota State University Mankato's health clinic is promoting an ethical non monogamy support group. That's right. Ethical non monogamy. The headline alone feels like it should cause a small electrical fire in the English department. And according to the promotional material, cheating is not unethical provided you identify as an ethical non monogamy cheater. Yes, because nothing says stable society quite like needing a flowchart and a waiver packet to explain your dating life. But wait, it gets better. This clinic received $1.5 million from the Minnesota General Fund through through DHS Adult Mental Health Grants, another 1 million from SAMHSA. What is that, I wonder? John, would you find out what the acronym is, please? Hsa. I think John can find that quickly. Health Savings Account. Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Awareness. What's the A, I wonder? Administration. Administration. Let me read it. Then again, this will weigh into our friend Klobuchar. This clinic received 1.5 million from the Minnesota General Fund through DHS Audit Adult Mental Health Grants, another 1 million from SAMSA HSA through a federally directed spending project request requested by Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, and a $5 million pledge from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. So, just to recap, our tax dollars, federal dollars, insurance dollars, and the university system are now collectively sponsoring workshops explaining how, technically speaking, cheating may not be cheating. Meanwhile, half the state can't find a primary care doctor at this point. I am waiting for the state to fund an emotional recovery from Roundabouts Task Force. Because there's no way that our recently installed circle intersections didn't somehow summon the recent April tornado outbreak here in Dodge County. Anyway, future historians are going to have an absolute field day with us. Us. Keep up the good fight, Mayor. And good luck, Scott Rose. Isn't that something where we have spent. We're spending millions and millions of dollars to entitle young people who want to be told that cheating is okay. I'm at a loss for words. An upside down world is what you. You're saying backwards. Somehow, if you take the larger key to all this, somehow it must be that people who cheat are thought to be oppressed they're judged. They're judged. Judgment is unfair. No one has a right to judge anything. And now you can come to our clinic at Mankato. We got a group.
Joe Sushere
We'll help.
Chris Reavers
You can sit around in a circle and say, hi, my name is Bob. I'm a cheater.
Kenny Olson
Will they hook you up with other cheaters? I mean, that would be the most convenient.
Joe Sushere
I actually have an update. I have an update. This is a bulletin out of the Mankato Free Press. Enrollment for Mankato State University just tripled in the last 24 hours.
Kenny Olson
Pants on the ground. Pants on the ground.
Joe Sushere
We get to do what now?
Chris Reavers
This long time. G.L. who wrote this? Is from Manville.
Joe Sushere
Cass and Manville.
Chris Reavers
Are they on the crawl? Mane is on the crawl. Flying true flag.
Kenny Olson
Those roundabouts down there really stirring up the tornadoes.
Chris Reavers
Well, isn't that a great line? At this point, I'm waiting for the state to fund an emotional recovery from roundabouts task force because there's no way that our recently installed circular intersections did not somehow summon the recent tornado outbreak.
Kenny Olson
It's like water circles.
Chris Reavers
I'll tell you why there's tornadoes on a counter.
Josh Arnold
We didn't have tornadoes here until we started putting into traffic circles. Because on the counter you want to know why? When people go round and round and circles, that causes disturbance in the atmosphere and causes tornadoes.
Chris Reavers
By the way, I have not not
Joe Sushere
called it a tornado since we heard this.
Chris Reavers
Didn't have tornadoes here.
Joe Sushere
Tornadors.
Chris Reavers
That's what they are, man. They're tornadoes. Tornadoes. This may. Got to write something down here.
Joe Sushere
Enroll at Mankato.
Chris Reavers
Yeah. Get my application.
Kenny Olson
Tell why I'm actually not. Not.
Chris Reavers
Can I go back to school?
Joe Sushere
Oh, God, yeah. We'll take it.
Chris Reavers
And then. Okay. All right. I have my notes to myself. Are you giving me some sort of signal?
Kenny Olson
Such. I recently gave the roommate permission and she said, well, why didn't you tell me that 20 years ago, dummy?
Joe Sushere
It's about time.
Chris Reavers
You know, 75 years ago, the area where Rosedale Chev. Is had to be rural farmland and they needed trucks. And for 75 years, Rosedale's been a truck dealer. They know how they know their trucks. Think of that. 75 years ago, that was out in the sticks farmland. But that's where the guys went to get their trucks to work the land. It's on county Road C&35W in Roseville. Rosedale Chevrolet is a commercial and business elite diener. God sure is. What is wrong with me that I can't say dealer.
Joe Sushere
They didn't have tornadors.
Chris Reavers
Rosedale Chevrolet. You're not going to eat there. You're going to buy a truck. They're a business. They're a commercial and business elite dealer. What is wrong with me? But they have the largest selection of work ready inventory ready to go. Huge selection of 1500s. That's the half ton, 2500, three quarter ton, 3500, that's a one ton. They got a large selection of that low cab forward medium duty rig with box upfits from 12ft to 20ft and express cutaway and express cargo vans in stock. Dedicated commercial truck sales department with over 75 years of experience. Okay, let me rephrase some something. Maybe they haven't been there 75 years, but they got guys with 75 years of combined experience getting you into the right truck. Rosedale Chev. Location 35W in County Road C. You can't miss it. RosedaleChev.com.

Thank you, Joe. This news brought to you by North American Banking Company in sports, last night the Wild lost game two of their series with Colorado. Colorado with a two zip lead in the series. Game three. There's a bit of a wait now. We don't play until Saturday here in Minnesota.
Joe Sushere
Did the Colorado State their first run opponent?
Chris Reavers
Yes, and they had a lot of rest. The only positive here is that the Wild now have three days of rest. They didn't get that following the Dallas series, but I must admit my hopes are a bit dimmed.
Kenny Olson
What's wrong with Ecker?
Chris Reavers
Don't be that guy.
Kenny Olson
Why is he.
Chris Reavers
I don't know. I was. There was rumor that he might play last night and he did not. I don't even think he made the trip.
Kenny Olson
I like that new Felino brush, brother. He's rough and tough.
Chris Reavers
Yeah. There are a couple of cops out there.
Kenny Olson
Yeah. They are, yeah.

Timberwolves play Game two of their series tonight in San Antonio, the Wolves winning Game one. They lead the series one game to nothing. In News Popular summer gathering spot at Lake Minnetonka severely damaged by a fire early this morning. Fire crews say a fire at Haskell and Excelsior started at about 1:30 on the outside of the building on the patio. The building at the corner of Water and Lake street is home to a bar, rest restaurant and liquor store, according to interim Excelsior Fire Chief Nate Basinger. The fire was held to the bar side of the building, did not spread to the liquor store side. Todd Farrell, the owner of Haskell, said the bar is pretty much totaled. The ceiling inside the bar collapsed. No official word on what may have started the fire, but officials say nobody was injured in the fire. Minneapolis Public Schools says for several years it missed out on major state fund spending due to expense and billing issues.
Chris Reavers
God, these people cannot budget. They just can't do it. They're dumb. They're stupid.
John Height
It also acknowledges the budgeting blunder directly led to people losing their jobs. Now the district will get a surge of more than $20 million in funding as it corrects its course. This whole air was spotted by a third party brought in to look at the district's finances, a move made to address a significant budget deficit that at times reached around $50 million. In a post about the fix, the district said the outside firm revealed a pattern dating back at least several years where a state special education revenue was likely not maximized due primarily to miscategorized expenses and the underutilization of available reimbursement mechanisms. Now the correction this year's budget is getting a $10.7 million boost. Next year's we'll get a $10.8 million $8 million boost. The problem, of course, with all of this is that hundreds of jobs were cut and programs were affected over the past several years because of the dire financial situation made whole by the mistakes on the budgeting. While 170 union workers for Chicago county employees are now on strike, the workers, who are represented by Teamsters Local 320, work within the government center, professional professionals and health and human services units of the county. The union said the step came after months of negotiations which started in October, failed to reach an agreement on workers health insurance and fair market wage adjustments. Workers walked off the job and began picketing outside the government center yesterday, with a much bigger picket set for tonight ahead of the county board meeting. During the height of the Trump administration's immigration enforcement operation here in Minnesota, federal prosecutors charged three dozen people, mostly protesters, with assaulting ICE and Border Patrol agents. But now the government has dismissed more than a third of those cases after the allegations failed to stand up to scrutiny. Prosecutors are continuing to pursue others, including one case, that of Gillian Etherington, where a judge called the Justice Department's actions perplexing. The Justice Department declined to answer specific questions about charges against Etherington or the reasons for dropping so many protester assault cases. Of 35 cases, prosecutors dismissed 14. Why don't we take a quick break here and hear from our friend Mr. Reaver.

Thank you, Johnny. North American Banking Company once again a proud supporter of the Garagelogic podcast and Johnny Heights News each and every single day. And you know what? They want to partner with you because they have been investing into your success since 1998 because back then they made a promise to deliver a better banking experience for their customers where you get to know your banker and they get to know you. And you know what, a lot has changed since 1998. But you know what, that commitment to being a true community bank in the Twin Cities, that has not. And you get that feeling when you walk into any one of their six Twin Cities locations, whether it's Roseville, 50th and Frank Deener, Woodbury, Hastings, Shoreview and Maple Grove. Nobody got that.

Chris, in other news, things still pretty confusing surrounding the situation in Iran. The White House thinks it's getting close to an agreement with Iran on a one page memorandum of understanding to end the war and set a framework for more detailed nuclear negotiations, According to two U.S. officials and two other sources briefed on the issue. The sources say the US Expects Iranian responses on several keys points in the next 48 hours. Nothing has been agreed upon yet, but the source has said it was the closest the parties had been to an agreement since this all started.
Chris Reavers
John, did you see where a billion dollars in tax money is now being asked for to build the ballroom?
John Height
I have that.
Chris Reavers
Yeah. Okay. In fairness, you know, that was all going to be privately funded. In fairness to Trump he rarely, if ever, has gone back on his way word. So I think this is something we can understand.
John Height
Okay, I'm going to. I'm going to move on with the news now. Meanwhile, Iranian airstrikes have damaged or destroyed at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at US military sites across the Middle east since the war began, hitting hangers, barracks, fuel depots, air and aircraft and key radar, communications and air defense equipment that, according to a Washington Post analysis of satellite imagery. The amount of destruction bigger than what the public acknowledged what has been publicly acknowledged by the US Government. The threat of air attacks rendered some of the US Bases in the region too dangerous to staff at normal levels, and commanders moved most of the personnel from those sites out of the range of Iranian fire at the start of the war. Since the start of the war February 28, seven service members have died in strikes on U.S. facilities, and more than 400 troops have suffered injuries as of late April, according to the US Military. Most of the wounded returned to duty within days, but at least 12 suffered injuries that military officials classified as serious, according to U.S. officials. Elections in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan yesterday, reinforcing a picture that's, well, happening a lot lately. President Trump still dominating the Republican Party, but Democrats seem to have the momentum ahead of November's midterm elections. The biggest test to Trump's power came in Indiana. He backed primary challenges against seven Republican state senators who rejected his redistricting plan in December. Five of the president's candidates won with the help of money from the Trump administration. Meanwhile, in Michigan, a Democrat comfortably won a state Senate race in a bellwether district, the latest in a string of special election victories. A familiar name in the campaign for Ohio governor, Republican Vivek Ramasan Swami parlayed his national AIM Recognition, tech industry connections and alliance with President Trump into a record fundraising haul. He largely ignored Republican rival Casey Putsch, focusing his rallies and television ads on the general election, and won the primary decisively. Special elections have swung almost universally toward Democrats since the president returned to the White House. That continued in Michigan yesterday. Democrat Cheddar Greene, when he was state Senate seat in a closely matched district where Kamala Harris vested Trump by less than one point in 2024. As Joe talked about earlier, Senate Republicans want to fund Secret Service security upgrades related to President Trump's ballroom project as part of the nearly $72 billion package that would shovel cash to immigration enforcement agencies. The proposal Senate Judiciary Republicans unveiled late Monday night a piece of the forthcoming party line bill to fund immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol. And it would direct $1 billion to the secret Service for security adjustments and upgrades, including at the White House in the ballroom area.
Chris Reavers
We're $32 trillion in debt.
John Height
That's on top of the almost 3.3 billion the agency received already under the fiscal 2026 DHS funding bill signed into law. Law last Thursday. Is it the first Wednesday you guys hear the siren?
Chris Reavers
Yep. Yeah, I don't hear it.
John Height
Huh?
Chris Reavers
I don't hear it.
John Height
Ted Turner, the media mogul who caught a brash and vivid figure on the American scene of the late 20th century by dominating the cable television industry, creating the 24 hour news cycle with CNN, and extending his restless reach into professional sports, environmentalism and philanthropy, has died at his home near Tallahassee, Florida. He was 87. Turner's signature creation was CNN Cable News Network, which revolutionized Television News in 1980 by presenting it all hours of the day and eventually inspiring other media ops to follow suit. But his portfolio of business ventures bulged with lots more. As a spin off of cnn, he created the channel CNN Headline News, CNN International. He founded the cable and satellite sports and entertainment superstation that became known as TBS and spawned a sister channel, TNT, both of which continue to reach millions of homes. 1985, he bought for $1.5 billion the MGM Studios library of films. Nine years later, created the cable franchise Turner Classic Movies, or tcm, made a similar purchase of Hanna Barbera cartoons and relying on them, created the Car Cartoon Network in 1992. In 1996, he emerged as conglomerate Turner Broadcasting with Time Warner to create one of the world's largest media companies. Along the way, he found the time and energy to captain the winning yacht in the America's cup race in 1977 and to take an active role as owner of the Atlanta Braves, giving the team extended national exposure on Turner owned television. Turner's politics were. Well, they contradicted themselves, shall we say. Also controversial. Claimed to be an arch conservative Republican with warm ties to Christian evangelicals and far right John Birch Society members. But he also befriended the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. In an act of philanthropy, he donated a billion dollars to the United nations, an organization loathed by American conservatives. He loved hunting, and he became a darling of environmentalists by buying more than a million acres of wilderness and ranch land and setting them aside as nature preserves. He became the fourth largest private landowner in the US with 2 million acres. In addition to vast tracks he owned in Argentina and other countries.
Chris Reavers
Look up the name of the boat he campaigned in The America's Cup. I'll always remember Ted as the swashbuckler.
Kenny Olson
45,000 to 51,000 head of bison. He's single handedly has brought that brought the bison back. It's really amazing. Interesting character, big Civil War buff and tcm. I have to just say my favorite channel in the whole world. I love that channel.
Chris Reavers
But he campaigned the Americas. He won the America's cup when the boat Courageous. The Courageous. Well there's several here. So let me find out which one. 1970. 71. And it was still a boat then. I mean not academy. Turner in command defeated the challenger Australia skippered by Noah Robbins in a four race sweep. And it was still off Newport back in those days. Courageous. Greatest winning margin of all four races is 2 minutes and 23 seconds.
Kenny Olson
Which the. The phrase on. I guess it's not a phrase, the word undefeated. Yeah, I mean Jane Fonda.
Chris Reavers
Really?
Kenny Olson
Really.
John Height
They were married 10 years.
Chris Reavers
Yeah.
John Height
To years since you brought up bison, Kenny. Yeah, I do have a bison story and this was not planned folks. I want you to know that Candy and I did not meet. The Trump administration planning to evict 950 bison from their grazing pastures on federal lands in Montana. The Department of the Interior, which has a bison as its logo, has revoked the license of a rewilding charity trying to restore the natural splendor of what's called the American Sering Battle Getty. An eco diverse range of grasslands home to wolves, pronghorns, grizzly bears and mountain lions. The American Prairie Foundation, a non profit with California, has bought up at least hundreds of thousands of acres in Montana. And that's made some local cattle ranchers angry. They say they're being priced out of Montana. Till earlier this year, American Prairie had leases to graze its bison on seven allotments in Phillips County, Montana. But Douglas Bergam, the Secretary of the Interior who owns a ranch in neighboring North Dakota, has favored the arguments of the cattle farmers eager to graze their cow herds. In a statement earlier this year, the Bureau of Land Management, an agency of the Department of the Interior said it is canceling the foundation's licenses, getting rid of the organization's plans to grow its fur. A herd, excuse me, to about 5,000 bison.
Chris Reavers
Getting back to Ted, he was still drinking that when he was racing the American America's cup and he, he shook up that white sweater crowd in Newport pretty well.
Kenny Olson
Dangerfield Thompson in there.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, he was great. It was great. His old man ran a billboard business. Yeah. Until he killed himself. Yeah. In 63. He killed himself.
John Height
Interesting. Interesting guy.
Joe Sushere
Let's talk about Jane's role in the 91 World Series. That was too much TV time for those for her.
Chris Reavers
They were. They were new shown as a couple, weren't they?
Joe Sushere
Yeah, they were.
Kenny Olson
That incessant chopping.
Chris Reavers
She did the tomahawk chop.
Kenny Olson
Crazy.
Chris Reavers
She did the ch.
Joe Sushere
What sport is this again? Oh, it's baseball.
John Height
Oh, okay.
Chris Reavers
Wait a minute.
Kenny Olson
And what does this mean? Does this go against all of my political views, but I'm doing it anyway. I'm a complete idiot. Yes.
Joe Sushere
Oh, but you're worth a lot of. Wait, I was going to say that. Yeah, that's a little too far.
John Height
Well, she. She was worth a lot of money too then. Chris.
Joe Sushere
Oh, don't. Don't worry, John. We all owned a VHS company copy of the. Of the workout video.
John Height
Well, I didn't. Chris.
Chris Reavers
Sorry, Matthew. I never got it back.
John Height
I never got it back to you.
Kenny Olson
It's too bony. Come on, eat a hamburger.
Chris Reavers
That was more.
Kenny Olson
Richard, put some cottage cheese on that hamburger.
Chris Reavers
Was she one of those chicks that was telling Ted what he could eat? You know, you can't have steak. And he. I think he opened a restaurant. Can you specifically seriously. To sell bison.
Josh Arnold
Can you.
Kenny Olson
Oh, he. He did, yeah, absolutely. And they still do to this day. Can you imagine the game of flaws in that house?
Chris Reavers
Oh, boy.
Kenny Olson
Oh, Lord.
John Height
They both continued to speak well of each other after the divorce, which was kind of weird.
Chris Reavers
They could have joined that thing at Mankato.
Kenny Olson
The Lord called the.
Chris Reavers
The Lord called the monogamy.
Joe Sushere
I'm gonna guess Ted did need a
Chris Reavers
class or non monogamy, whatever the hell it is.
John Height
I think they had options between the two. Yeah, that was not an issue.
Chris Reavers
What is it? You're only as loyal as your options. That's right.
Kenny Olson
I'd rather make out with Ted.
John Height
Mustache don't like it.
Joe Sushere
How is bison, Kenny? Have you had it?
Kenny Olson
Oh my God, it's so good. Very expensive.
Chris Reavers
It's also very healthy.
Joe Sushere
Really?
Kenny Olson
Yeah.
Chris Reavers
Very lean.
John Height
Yep. Yeah.
Kenny Olson
I found a bison ranch, I think in the Dakotas. I was gonna order some from. And I got to the checkout and it was $230 and I. I backed up, backed out of there.
Chris Reavers
Cow isn't that bad. Any animal that runs is the meat you want to eat.
Kenny Olson
Okay, thanks. Thanks, Joe.
Chris Reavers
Well, they're. That's. That's right after they win the derby. No, no, that's the lean. That's leaves.
Kenny Olson
That Labrador, let me tell you.
Chris Reavers
These are the insects, stuff like that. I was like, what? When Patrick Talks about veal. And the younger the cow is, the more tender it is. Right out of the womb. You get them right out of the womb.
John Height
Oh, God.
Chris Reavers
Hold on.
Joe Sushere
I'm gonna make a note for the podcast episode. Joe says animals that run taste good.
Josh Arnold
Yep.
Chris Reavers
They're the ones you want. Can pigs, can pigs run? Because pork's not bad for you.
Kenny Olson
Fatty, though.
Chris Reavers
I do it.
Kenny Olson
He's all hat and no cat. Cattle.
Chris Reavers
That's why deer are probably good for it. There you go. Deer. You know what they do? They run a lot. That's it. You got an animal that runs. You, you're, you're, you look, you're in high clover.
Kenny Olson
They can't even see the forest for the trees.
Chris Reavers
Yeah.
Joe Sushere
Well, how do you explain fish then? Fish don't run.
Chris Reavers
No, but they swim fast and they're good. Yeah.
John Height
This winter.
Chris Reavers
How about them eagles? John, how are you doing there? Are you done or you got more?
John Height
10 more stories.
Chris Reavers
Let's go here. Let's get. Keep it talking here.
John Height
I thought you were done, but I'll go.
Chris Reavers
I'm done. I got some golf.
John Height
Heckling.
Chris Reavers
I need to do a single psychedelic
John Height
trip may cause physical changes in the brain that could explain why some people report psychological benefit from the experience. Including. This is all in a new study.
Kenny Olson
Right?
Chris Reavers
Right.
Kenny Olson
If you want to end up a traffic reporter.
Chris Reavers
Kid.
Kenny Olson
Kiddos. Dropping that. Sid.
John Height
The research published in Nature Communications focused on psilocybin, psychedelic compound found in so called magic mushrooms. The drug has been the subject of a number of studies in people that have found it appears to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. It has also shown promises in addiction medicine exactly how it may exert those benefits. Still under investigation and it's a question of growing scientific interest. Last month, you'll recall we talked about this when it happened. President Trump signed an executive order to speed up psychedelic research on psilocybin ediboraine, another psychedelic derived from the root bark of a plant native to the Congo rainforest. Following the order the Food and Drug Administration granted fast track reviews of two companies studying psilocybin for depression, researchers have generally fallen into two camps. Those who hypothesize the psychedelic trips are vital to any benefits and brain changes the substances produce and those who think the specific compounds themselves, not the trips, are the key. This new study supports the former, suggesting the strength of the psychedelic experience does matter.
Chris Reavers
I've had stories of people desperately mentally ill who've been cured by this.
Kenny Olson
These results, John, are these from people who have actually done, done it and tried it or they just follow studies.
John Height
And it's, it's the study.
Kenny Olson
I want all these doctors that recommend this to eat a big old bag of shrooms, maybe mix in some Doritos so you can choke them down and then try to hold on to the earth for the next six hours. Go ahead. Go ahead, Doc, give it a try.
John Height
I, I. You don't agree then with these?
Kenny Olson
Oh, but it's micro dosing, Kenny.
Chris Reavers
It is helps.
Kenny Olson
Don't. Kids don't know drugs are bad.
Chris Reavers
Okay.
John Height
Boy, that's. Well, never mind. Blasted. A fireworks factory in China. Did you see this?
Chris Reavers
No.
John Height
Oh, my gosh. 26 people killed, 61 injured. Flattened buildings and sent towering clouds of smoke into the sky prompted President Xi Jinping to order a thorough investigation. More than 1500 firefighters, rescuers, medical personnel and police were deployed, along with 18 drones and several robots to search for survivors and control on site hazards. The explosion happened Monday at a factory compound in Liu Yang City in central Hunan province, known as China's fireworks capital.
Chris Reavers
This happens five times a year. It's a bad industry.
John Height
They had one not too long ago. In fact, in June of last year, an explosion in the same province killed nine people.
Chris Reavers
You know how I'd never go to Turkey for dental work? I'm never going to China to work in a fireworks factory. And I happen to be the fireworks commissioner. Amen. It's a bad industry. Somebody's always screwing up.
Kenny Olson
It's not if, it's when.
Chris Reavers
Yeah. Somebody threw their cigarette down next to a box of cherry bombs and the next thing you know, it's the worst fire in history.
Kenny Olson
The fellows and I had about an $800 were stacked up in a chair one night over in the middle of Wisconsin and we were lighting bottle rockets off. We were setting them on the arm of the chair. Shooting them kind of horizontally.
Chris Reavers
Yep.
Kenny Olson
And which we don't recommend one. The sparks got into the, the back
Chris Reavers
stock there sitting there went your stock.
Kenny Olson
There's about five minutes of glorious.
Chris Reavers
Blew the roof off that dump you were in. Probably crappy coffee shop.
Kenny Olson
And it was quite unfortunate. We were bummed out because we would have fireworks wars in the woods with the, with the bottle rockets. Were you fully clothed? Yeah. Yeah. But you haven't lived. You know, fireworks bounce off your chest.
Joe Sushere
I can't rip him. I've done the same.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, I have, I have, I've, I've very, my first fireworks are very well cared for.
John Height
Yeah.
Chris Reavers
Thank you. John Caution.
Joe Sushere
The only thing you could cite is your son drinking tiki torch oil.
Chris Reavers
Well, you can't stop everything, you know.
Kenny Olson
So, fellas, what do you got? What's what? What you doing this weekend?
Chris Reavers
Yeah. Not business.
Kenny Olson
Do you know what's happening this weekend?
Chris Reavers

Kenny Olson

John Height
No.
Kenny Olson
Two major events always happen on this. What's that?
Chris Reavers

Joe Sushere
Yes, sir.
Chris Reavers
Get it back. Back. Here's a man who spends hours in hardware stores sifting through the nuts and bolts of life. Joe sushere.
Joe Sushere

Couldn't we have it in the green room?
Joe Sushere
We could absolutely put one in the green room right over here.

Map updates this notice from Bill stein and Aiken McGrath. Minnesota, south of McGregor. Just 41 people, a bar and a Catholic church. What more do you need? It has announced that it will officially be flying the one true flag. Pine River, Minnesota City hall flies the real flag and it has also flown at the American Legion just down the street. That's from Kurt. I hand this to Gabe. These will be added to the crawl. The city of Rome, Rose Creek. According to Mark Hingen, the city of Rose Creek is flying true flag. I don't know where Rose Creek is
Joe Sushere
down by the Austin area. Very fun softball tournament Every year new
Chris Reavers
flagpole in Williams, Minnesota says Josh and the true flag. All right, this is from Joel. Just a note to show. And he sent a picture that that Bellevue. Are they on the crawl yet? Bellevue is flying the real flag. All right, thank you very much.
Joe Sushere
Is that our official.
Chris Reavers
That's today's update. And Jordy wants us to know that Area 51 was hit with 17 earthquakes in just one day. The other day.
Kenny Olson
Oh, really?
Chris Reavers
That's his. Trump vows to release UFO files.
Joe Sushere
Is that a Babylon B deal?
Chris Reavers
No. Oh, and and Jordy notes, thank you for your attention to this matter. Now a ruling. I've been waiting for Kenny to decide to work again just to have this ruling because he might might have to Weigh in.
Kenny Olson
I'll be here today and tomorrow.
Chris Reavers
Hail the flashlight, King.
Kenny Olson
Hail you.
Chris Reavers
I need a ruling. What is the appropriate.
Joe Sushere
Hey, I'm listening.
Chris Reavers
Well, what did you do? I mean, the word appropriate was used. I need a ruling. What is the appropriate GL procedure for the dignified transfer of an old pickup? Here is the backstory. I have a 1992 Ford F150 with 293,000 miles on it that is reaching the end of its life. 34 years in Minnesota has rusted the body and frame. The truck is operational but no longer roadworthy. At some point in the not too distant future, it is going to snap in half. So here's my question. Do I cut my losses and drive it to the salvage yard while I still can, or do I keep it as a yard truck for hauling firewood and brush around the farm, knowing that I'll probably have to drag it to the salvage yard in pieces at a later date? Joe, I trust you will rule with the wisdom. Although I will probably put more weight on Kenny's opinion as I suspect you lack personal experience in this area. That is you would have traded it in after 20,000 miles.
Joe Sushere
That's a good point.
Chris Reavers
Love the show and thank you in advance. Good luck. Josh Stenzlin in Winnebago, Minnesota. Do we have Winnebago on the crawl? Well, the true flag is flying in Winnebago. Nice. He is 43 years old. Josh is and has a cylinder index of 61 and is a card carrying member of the GL Town Council. I know what my answer would be, but I'll turn to Kenny.
Joe Sushere
You guys have all. Josh, a million times.
Kenny Olson
By the way, I want to hear your answer, Joe.
Chris Reavers
I'd keep it to bang around the farm and haul stuff with it.
Kenny Olson
Same here. As long as you have a way to get it to the junkyard when she finally breaks in half.
John Height
Half?
Kenny Olson
Yeah, using her runner right into the ground. As a matter of fact, a fun thing I like to do is drain all the oil out of it and see how long that engine will last on no oil.
Chris Reavers
That's. That's called a brick party.
Kenny Olson
Yeah, that's fun.
Chris Reavers
You put the brick on the accelerator.
Kenny Olson
Oh, no, I keep using it. I keep using.
Chris Reavers
Oh, you keep using it.
Kenny Olson
You want to be in the most inconvenient spot on your property when that thing dies. So it's a real pain in the butt to get it out the of.
Chris Reavers
Anyway. Josh, that's the ruling. Keep it to haul stuff around the yard.
Joe Sushere
Yeah, keep us posted and Kenny to the point too. We're on Grandpa's farm. We have one of his old pickups that is abandoned. We just sit in and drink beer. I'm not joking because it's Grandpa's truck.
Kenny Olson
Grandpa would love.
Joe Sushere
Oh, my God.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do not use my name. I know someone recently retired from there. The formerly Catholic University of St. George Catherine's has special hours for the pool just for Muslim women. Oh, all right, that's fine with me. What do I wear?
Kenny Olson
The whole deal.
Joe Sushere
Is that a response to the Texas story?
Chris Reavers
Yeah. How's that work?
Joe Sushere
Well, the other day, Kenny, there was a story out of Texas and we discovered that they sell burkas as like almost a bikini. Not bikini, but a swimming.
John Height
It's called a burkini.
Joe Sushere
Burkini. Thank you, Johnny.
Kenny Olson
I'm picturing the, the swimsuits they had like in the teens and the twenties.
John Height
Even more so if you see go
Kenny Olson
from the ankle to the neck.
John Height
Yeah, they do. Plus they have a head wrap. So both.
Chris Reavers
Do you know that Palm beach county in Florida, the commissioners there approved a trademark deal with Trump to name the airport after him? All right, but not only are they going to name the airport after him, but he's got a deal including rebranding everything he has veto power on over everything, including his image and biographical information and products. It requires the airport stores to source airport branded merchandise from retailers that Trump's companies will tell them they can choose.
Kenny Olson
This seems like it's all on the up and up.
Chris Reavers
All three Republicans on the Palm Beach County Commission backed the agreement during a vote yesterday, as did Democrat Maria Sachs. Trump already signed the deal on Sunday. He signed the deal before the vote.
John Height
They, not only that, they didn't get a copy of it the commissioners until Monday. That's why the three voted against it.
Kenny Olson
They said, what are we talking about here? Trump Cola and Trump Heaters.
Chris Reavers
Well, the, the airport will be called Donald J. Trump International Airport and President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
Kenny Olson
Yeah.
Chris Reavers
And then, you know, if you buy a little stuffed animal or something, I suppose it looks like Trump. I don't know.
Kenny Olson
And everything, all the normal products will be Trump versions.
Chris Reavers
The agreement leaves the door open for Trump's family to choose which products get sold. So where's this Palm Beach?
Kenny Olson
Is that a big one, that airport?
Chris Reavers
Yeah, it's pretty major. The agreement is non exclusive, meaning the Trump family could still profit from selling airport branded items off site. God, they've got all angles figured out, don't they? Even though they promised not to profit from sales at the airport? Of course not. Trump's company also gets to make a list of approved retailers from which airport stores have to buy their airport branded merchandise. By Airport branded, I guess that means Donald J. Trump branded. Normally, a license agreement says that the goods have to be of a certain quality. Not this one. It doesn't say. It doesn't say that you have to purchase them from a retailer that were of a part. Palm Beach County Attorney David Otte told commissioners that the clause was included to protect the quality and the Trump family won't benefit, but conceded the county does not yet know who's approved retail, who those approved retailers will be.
Kenny Olson
I have had an idea that is so brilliant, I should forego you guys and go right to President Trump. This is going to make him. It's going to put him over the top financially.
Chris Reavers
Well, he'd listen to it.
Kenny Olson
Trump branded toilet paper with his face on it selling for $20 a roll. Who's gonna buy it?
Chris Reavers
Oh, the mysterious, angry left mysterious Would buy hundreds of thousands of dollars worth.
Kenny Olson
Yes, yes. That would be brilliant.
Chris Reavers
What a gift I could get for the old.
Kenny Olson
I know. Meanwhile, President Trump is just counting the
Chris Reavers
cash right there in the Oval Office
Kenny Olson
next to his ballroom. Count the cash.
Joe Sushere
Who was the.
Chris Reavers
The ballroom that was going to be paid for with private funds? It just. He doesn't go back on his work. It's a rare event. Wait, wait, wait.
Kenny Olson
He can pay for it with Trump bog rolls?
Chris Reavers
Yeah, that's a good point.
Joe Sushere
John, you would remember this. Who was the musician that sold whatever the musician's name is Sucks T shirts at his own concert concerts. Do you remember who that was?
John Height
He didn't say sucks if you're talking about Sturgill.
Joe Sushere
Or is it. Yes. Okay, thank you.
John Height
He. Because when he was nominated for Grammy and ended up winning, he still hadn't had a hit record.
Joe Sushere
Yeah.
John Height
And some executive said who the bleep is? Sturgill Simpson. So Sturgill turned that into a T shirt. And also I have a, A can cooler thing. It just says who the. Okay, I can't say the word obviously.
Kenny Olson
John, that says a lot about record executives to. Doesn't it? How can you work in the industry and not know who it was before
John Height
he, you know, was even a little known? It was the first album and it won the Grammy for best Country.
Chris Reavers
Okay, good. Breaking news here. Breaking news. Furthermore, another Trump item. Last year, Trump announced his T1 Trump phone. Remember that? Oh, yeah. That was supposed to be released in August. People would pay 100 bucks towards securing their spot. In line for the phone release. He kept delaying the release date. And In January, around 600,000 people had paid in nearly 60 million for this phone. Now we're in May, there's still no release date. And they updated the website's deposit terms and conditions to say their hundred dollars does not guarantee a device will be made available for purchase. But he doesn't do this often. I think these are rare events for the.
Kenny Olson
Yeah, Joe, he's got to send him toilet paper.
Chris Reavers
Yeah, I'm telling. A killer idea.
John Height
PT Barnum loves these people.
Chris Reavers
That presidency is exclusively for his enrichment. And as the new president, I would call all the TV channels and say I'm having a big dumpster out front. Watch me haul out all this cheap ass Elvis Presley imitation crazy crap from that he's got decorating the Oval Office.
Kenny Olson
Are you going to be okay?
Chris Reavers
Oh, God, I can't stand it Chris
John Height
show without a bunch of emails. But they're coming, pal, don't worry.
Chris Reavers
No Glers know what I'm talking about. I'm a Gler. I'm not a Democrat or a Republican. I got my own view of the world and neither party fulfills it.
John Height
You don't always look at the socials, do you, Joe?
Chris Reavers
To see I never do.
Kenny Olson
You got to reject those out once.
Chris Reavers
I never do. On this day only because they come to us all the way from people who are cruising northeastward in the Pacific Ocean. And the Lymans are now able to say the closest land is the west coast of California. They're getting closer to their home only because they come to us from the traveling lineman's@worldwide waftage.com on this day, Joe. Today is May 26th in 1834, two Presbyterian missionaries from Connecticut, Sam Gideon, Samuel W. And Gideon H. Pond, they were. They were brothers, huh? Arrived at Fort Snelling and soon began working with the Dakota on the shores of Lake Calhoun. I'm not saying that other name because when they began working with the natives, it was Lake that wasn't even named yet. The Pond brothers developed a Dakota Alphabet, published a Dakota newspaper, and recorded many traditional Dakota practices during their years as missionaries. If I'm not mistaken, the Pond name has survived in Minnesota. I think it's attached to a few important people over the years. I'm not entirely sure.
Joe Sushere
Pond or a pool.
Chris Reavers
On this day, May 6th in 1840, soldiers expelled Selkirker squatters from the Fort Snelling military reservation and burned their cabins. Although the Selkirkers had moved to escape the fort's boundaries, a year Before a new survey showed that they remained within the military jurisdiction. The settlers then relocated to the site that became the city of St. Paul. On this day, May 6th in 1865, a group of Cutlerites, a branch of the Mormon church that had faced discrimination elsewhere, arrived at Clitheral Lake and laid the foundations for the first permanent settlement in Otter Tail County.
Kenny Olson
All the Swedes, Norwegians and Germans got along along famously with them. They were wonderful businessmen from everything I've read.
Chris Reavers
The Cutlerites, Yeah, right there in Clitoral. Clitheral, Yep. On this day, May 6th in 1896, groundbreaking ceremonies were held for the third state capitol building, the one designed by Cass Gilbert. On this day, May 6th in 1948, Marianne Courteau, who later became known as singer and songwriter Mary McGregor, was born in St. Paul in 1976, she recorded the pop song Torn Between Two Lovers.
Kenny Olson
We'll see.
Chris Reavers
If you went to Mankato now, there'd be a course you could take for this. You wouldn't be torn. That's right, which became a number one hit the following year. She married Paul D. MacGregor on November 13, 1971, but they later divorced. On this day, May 6 in 1965, windstorms hit northern Twin City suburbs, including those known collectively as the Fridley tornado. Oh yeah. 14 people died and $57 million in damages. I remember them distinctly, as clear as a bell in my mind's eye. It was on this late afternoon and night, on this day in 1965 that some big time tornadoes hit. They started out south of Minnetonka and swept through and kept going. They took apart Fridley.
Joe Sushere
What were the warning systems like back then? I mean, were they non existent?
Kenny Olson
Civil war?
Chris Reavers
They were existent, but not nearly what you have today. Sure, sure. Some of those old old navigators broadcasts about the tornado are pretty well known. They're pretty interesting to listen to.
Joe Sushere
On this day, May 6th.
Chris Reavers
This is out of order. In 1897, the New York Times printed an article headlined name by the president Stanford Newell of Minnesota. Wait a minute. Name named by the president col. Stanford Newell of Minnesota nominated for minister to the Netherlands. It went on to report that Mr. Newell, appointed Minister to the Netherlands, was one of the prominent Republicans of Minnesota. He had never held public office, but had been connected with the Republican state committee and during some of the most important campaigns was its chairman. His appointment was due to the request of the Republicans of Minnesota without regard to faction. Today, of course, we have tribes, so there would be a big to do about that. On this day in sports disappointment. History.
Joe Sushere
May 6th.
Chris Reavers
Well, on this day in 2010, all it says is Kestrel, K, E, S T, R, A, L. I don't know what that means. Kestrel, Anyone? Staff? Anyone? Anyone?
Kenny Olson
That's a certain kind of flower that is only made in Mankato, Minnesota, that's used only for baking brown bread.
Chris Reavers
On this day. On this day, I bought it. 1962, the Twin City Skippers lost to the Detroit Thunderbirds 27 to 15 in the first ever finals of the National Bowling League. We couldn't even win bowling. We have lost everything there is to
Joe Sushere
lose, except in front of Ted Turner and Jane Fonda in 91.
Chris Reavers
We did beat him at home, didn't we?
Kenny Olson
The Braves and you folks that have your hopes up with the Wild and the Timberwolves.
Joe Sushere
I blame Royce. He put a hex on him.
Chris Reavers
All I said about the Wild is my hopes are dimmed, the light is not extinguished.
Kenny Olson
This Timberwolves thing, though, it's fun seeing the hopes go up every year only to be dashed.
Chris Reavers
But the Timberwolves did what they had to do. They got a split in San Antonio.
Kenny Olson
Well, they don't mind.
Joe Sushere
They haven't split yet.
John Height
They could get a sweep.
Joe Sushere
They could get a sweep.
Chris Reavers
They could get a sweep. But I'm saying they got the split.
Joe Sushere
There you go.
Chris Reavers
Yeah. John, you find anything on Kestrel?
John Height
I typed in Kestrel, Minnesota Sports, and nothing came up.
Chris Reavers
I'll be damned. Thank you, gl.
Joe Sushere
So, Kenny, technically isn't. Isn't wrong.
Chris Reavers
Not at all. It's. For all I know, it's a special flour made only grinded. Grinded, Grilled. Dinner. Huh?
Joe Sushere
It's a dinner.
Chris Reavers
What do you do to flour? You grind.
John Height
You sift.
Chris Reavers
Sift? Oh, no, you gotta get it in the wheel. It goes around in the water mill. It's a grind. Yeah. Milling. Grinding.
Joe Sushere
Millie, get on in here.
Chris Reavers
Wow.
Joe Sushere

Josh Arnold is with us once again, right here in garagelogic. And now is the time for you to do the same. So do not delay, do exactly what I did in pick up that phone and dial 959-255608. That number once again is 952-925-5608. When you call that number you're going to get Josh and he is there for you for that. Free, Yes, I use the word free. 48 minute financial consultation with absolutely zero obligation. And he will always give you the straight talk, he will never give you the sugar coated advice and he is on the line with us once again right here in garagelogic. And boy Josh, over the years we've been doing this, you say this routinely and today once again it's all about the chips.
Josh Arnold
It's the chip, not just Corn chip. Although Pepsi has done pretty well, Coke has done pretty well. The kind of chips that I'm talking about are the semiconductor chips. And while not all semiconductor names are on fire and fuego, AMD reported last night and they reported very very good numbers sending AMD up to new high. Amd is up 16 and a half percent as we currently, currently speak at a new high. They beat all the estimates. They raised their guidance. Their data center business continues to explode. The need for advanced processors continues to explode. The need for also continues to expand upward. AMD's results follow on through Intel's numbers last week giving Intel a huge move. Intel has more than doubled this this year. Intel up on AMD's news as a matter of fact Intel's market capitalization is back to close of that of AMD and Intel has been in the doghouse many many years and it wasn't until they reported their earnings last week that intel actually exceeded October 2000 high. That's a, that's a long, long time to go without ceding its high and at that point In I'll say 26 years ago Intel, I'll say Intel's market capitalization was almost four times that of amd. But now AMD has been coming on very soon with their data center business and they have taken, taken a pretty big lead. AMD is just behind Nvidia in terms of the lead in providing chips for data center and we'll say the AI build out Nvidia stock has also moved on this but Nvidia will not report their earnings until we for another two weeks and that could be pretty, pretty interesting as well. Meantime, Nvidia made a pretty significant investment in Corning GLW to allow Corning to build three new factories or start building three New factories in Texas and North Carolina to make optical components that will help Nvidia and also help in the data data center business. Glassworks is one of the leaders first in optics and in, we'll say in fiber, you know, fiber optic cables which is being used for hookups within the data data centers. So all of this hardware or hardware related, hardware related stocks have been significantly outperforming the software stocks. Now we'll probably get a little bit more color on the software stock when more of those start reporting as well as when OpenAI and anthropic file for IPOs, but I think that's going to be later this year. Meantime, those two companies continue to raise money privately at higher valuations. Anthropic Anthropic's product, namely Quad, has been a huge huge hit and we think is taking market share in some other software programs. As I've said previously, some of the bigger winners out of this space there's still going to be companies like Google and Favorites, Apple and Amazon which both of those companies, Apple and Amazon are agnostic in terms of of the AI products that run through their systems and they will make money off of, off of that. So do pay attention to the chips. Some people say they are in bubble territory as they have, we'll say gone parabolic. So since the sell off in March, so be careful out there with them. But the chips have become big winners and could continue to be for quite some time, but not without a lot of volatility.
Joe Sushere
Excellent advice as always, Mr. Money Talk. You heard him jailers. Now is the time for you to pick up that phone and make that call for that fish 48 minute financial consultation again with zero obligation. And you do that just like I did by dialing 952-925-5608 where you always get straight talk and never ever sugarcoated advice. Josh, once again, thank you so much for the time and the chat. Enjoy the rest of your day and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
Josh Arnold
Look forward to it.
