I graduated from Westchester University of Pennsylvania with an EdD in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. She graduated on May 9, 2026. She says my dissertation is titled Am I Not Bubbly Enough? An Endarkened Narrative Inquiry into the Lives Literacies and teacher identity construction of black women pre service teachers at a predominantly white institution. Ooh. Yes, it's a mouthful, but I'm super proud of the work I put in and the contributions I hope to make to the field. Kia, I cited you in my lit review. Oh, yay. Come on, Robinson. Well, recognizing that being tall is like not something that is super common apparently, which I still have some discomfort with saying. But, but recognizing that that is what other people are saying to me, I guess. You know, people think that it's completely ridiculous for me to expect a man to be at least six three. Not easy? I feel like they should be easeful. I do not think they should be easy because I think that there are great lessons and like revelation and insight that comes from, you know, going through complex things that may feel difficult at the time, working through that, it stretches you, it makes you better. It makes you a better communicator. It makes you like you say, it's a mirror that reflects back at you. It helps you see yourself and gives you different perspective. So no, I won't say that they should be easy. I say that they should be easeful. Because when something is easeful, like it is not something that is that, that cost like it's labor in the sense that you. It should not feel hard. Relationships, like they should have it very naturally, very organic, organically, shouldn't feel forced. There should be an ease and an enjoyment to relationship. So I would say relationships should be easy, not necessarily easy.

Yes, I like that actually, because also they're not going to be easy when you have humans of different backgrounds, experiences and different emotional, you know, expressions and, and levels of sensitivities and how they receive things and all sorts of things. And I hit her and I said, sister, did you know this is AI now? You know, then I sent her the profile of the artist. Pissed.

And I was pissed.

And it is insane. And then. But I want to take this a step further, right? Because today I go for a retwist. You know, I only get my hair done four times a year, but I go in once a quarter. They love a goss. They love once a quarter, but they love playing gospel music in there. And it cracks me up.

And it. It be loud music. Yay. Today it was AI Gospel music.

So that same kind of voice, I'm a phenomena.

I, I, I heard the voice first when I messaged you, I just heard the voice. It knew.

Then I looked at the program profile, and when I looked at the profile, I was like, oh, let me send this to her right now. Yeah, but I know the voice now at this point. And I. And it's racist. It's just like those videos where they got them black girls going off in the rooms and they eating whole ribs. But you're like, where the did the bone go? And it's frightening and it's scary, but they're like, it's always this. Like, it's always that now on the song. And I'm like, this don't feel right. Don't ping my spirit right at all.

It's not right at all.

This AI music is out of control. You Timberland, Because Timberland has an AI Artist. And we should have.

[Kia]

Is he responsible?

[Jade]

He has an AI artist. Yes, he does have one. Not the one that you posted, but he has an AI. I think it's an Asian AI artist. And then. And he's like. He stands behind it and ew. Which is so insulting. But Timbaland is goofy. We saw Timberland on a boat with Elon Musk. Timberland married a lady who looked like Aaliyah. We should have known. Like, he was predatory. And it's thinking around just so many things. Anyway, that's not what I'm here for right now. I just. This AI music is getting out of control. And I don't like this. I don't like this. This stereotypical or whatever you want to call it, that this monolithic type voice y' all are putting. I don't. It just. It does not feel right to the spirit. And it feels so insulting to real artists. And I'm just. It's. I don't like it. I don't like it.

It is insulting. It is. Yeah. And I think we're just. We're just doing like. Yeah, it's a. It's a. It's a terrible time. I hate that we are here, but what can you do? I will say what I'm gonna do, since I think I'm gonna make my petty peeve. A preview of an upcoming episode we were just talking about. So Jade and I, before we started recording, we're talking about how, at the risk of sounding just like my mama, but how it feels like we are being charged more for things that are of poorer quality. Used to be a time when you was investing in a jacket. Like, let's say you want to buy a leather jacket, you have saved your coin and, you know, three, $400, you know you was getting a genuine leather jacket. Nowadays, faux leather things are four and five hundred dollars. And I just feel like, what happened. Certain brands, costume jewelry, 6, $700. This is. This is gold plated. This. This will turn green if you get it wet. And you're charging almost $1,000 for this costume jewelry. Like, girl, what is the reason?

This is not. This is not bridal jewelry. Like, what are we doing?

[Kia]

Reason. And I think, like, things are just. And I know the tariffs and I know. I know prices are prices, but I just kind of feel like, how did we get so far so fast that like, you know, all the fast fashion, all of these things that are like, not well made. It's really getting hard to. You want to have investment pieces like, you're Investing hundreds of dollars. You want to make sure that you're getting, you know, real raw materials and quality fabric and craftsmanship. All these vinyl bags, you know, Louis Vuitton selling goyard vinyl bags. $3,000. Like, come on, what. What is happening? What's happening? What's happening?

My grandmother used to buy from Payless.

[Kia]

This is what I'm saying. This is what I'm saying. And yeah, so. So we're gonna have a conversation. Jaden, I said we was going to do a show later on this, later on next month where we are going to just have some conversations about, like, the prices of things now. Maybe even do some comparisons to, like, how much stuff used to cost. And then, you know, just sort of rapid taste about me about that. But I just. I just feel like it's getting out of control. And we know that capitalism is a thing and it's going to do what it's going to do, but it's like everything, flights, all of that. Like, what?

Yeah. What's happening in the oversold capitalism and elitism, too, right? Because people cared way too much about brands and about names and about being elite in this way, to the point where brands were like, okay, cool, we'll put our brand on it, but we're gonna make it cheaper for us to make.

[Kia]

Are you.

Are you still gonna buy it? Yes, we're still gonna buy it because we're living in a dystopian. Weird.

[Kia]
