Ariana
We talk everything. Jesus and the Bible. Jesus took us two girls and. And he took us from the pit and he brought us to life and he saved our lives. And now we live to lead hearts to Jesus and share the good news. The good news.
Angel
It's good news.
Ariana
Come as you are. Just don't stay that way.
Angel
We say it to ourselves too.
Ariana
By the way, I was going to say God's constantly working on us every single day.
Angel
Guys, we're so happy to be with you today. Oh my gosh. We Want to tell you a little bit of testimony from this past weekend. And in. Where were we? We went to Portland and Seattle. By the way, this weekend, Girls Gone Bible tour, we're going to be in la. So if you are in California, if you're anywhere near SoCal. Guys, the LA show, it's the last GGB night of this year. We'll pick back up next year. But we are. I know, it's so crazy. Come to LA. It's December 6th at the Wilshire Theater. I'm so excited. I mean, it's like our home base. Yeah, yeah.
Ariana
We've been waiting to do a show in la.
Angel
We've been waiting.
Ariana
Believe we have one more show of the season.
Angel
By the way, the LA show is going to be our 41st Girls Gone Bible or night. I don't know, but it's been so cool.
Ariana
What country would you guys would like to see us come to? What country would you guys like us to bring tour to? Yeah, I'm so curious. Like, what is. I know so many of you guys from around the world are listening and I just want to know. We want to know, where would you like us to come?
Angel
My top choices for tour are Australia, South Africa, Albania. Should we do a little Grease stop, like Japan? Dude, if we take GGB to Japan, I will lose my freaking mind. Canada, North Korea with.
Ariana
Yeah. Kim Jong Un. I thought if you see his name.
Angel
On like the Internet, do you get like banned from.
Ariana
I don't think so. I'm just gonna. Yeah, say it. No. We went to a party one time and I thought. I thought I met Kim Jong Un and his name was Chris. I was like panicking and his name was Chris and his name is not.
Angel
Kim Jong Un, by the way.
Ariana
What is it?
Angel
Kim Jong Un.
Ariana
Okay, okay, okay.
Angel
Anyways, so Ariana, we're in Portland and Seattle this weekend and guys, we just want to tell you a little bit about, like, Seattle was one of the most special nights of tour we've ever had. It was so powerful. And I'm pretty sure you said it our earlier that day. You had said something like, I feel like God wants people to feel seen tonight. And there was just like an anointing over the whole night. And I can only describe it as like, God sees his people. And it goes like so well with what we're reading today. But I felt like the whole night, everything we even talked about on stage, as I looked out into the crowd and saw so many people getting wrecked by God, it felt like I just got a sense that it was just so personal. Like, people were like, this is. Whatever they're saying, Angenari, it's not even about them or what they're saying. God is speaking to me, and it felt personal for people. And then Ari and I, during the ministry time at the end, we're praying for people. We're praying for healing. We have testimonies for physical healings that took place, for mental healing. Like, this is so crazy, you guys. A woman, we prayed for her back. She had, like, really severe back pain. She couldn't even barely drive or sit in a chair. She has no back pain.
Ariana
Like, unbelievable.
Angel
At first it went away partially, and then it went away completely. This is the testimony of Jesus, a real God who's obsessed with his people and wants to heal them. And then something else that was special about Seattle was like, because of this anointing where God, like, wanted people to know that they were seen by him personally, I feel like both of us. There was just like a prophetic anointing over both of us where we were both releasing words of knowledge. And it was so. It's just so cool. Jesus is so cool. Like, why is he so amazing? Did you sense that, dude?
Ariana
Yeah, of course I did. Of course. It was on those two. Portland, too.
Angel
Yeah.
Ariana
I mean, you said Seattle.
Angel
I said Seattle, but I'm just talking about Seattle.
Ariana
It was like. But even the first night, I felt it too. I was. I couldn't. I. We both got off stage and looked at each other and we go, what was that?
Angel
So crazy. So crazy. I want to tell a little story. So, you know, operating in the prophetic. In prophetic gifting is something. It's like a muscle that you train. It's a gift from God, and he desires it for us to all have every gift. And, like, you can literally ask. And some people might be more prophetic than others. Some people might be a stronger evangelist than others. So. Right. We all have different gifts. But prophetic gifting is something that you should ask for. And the point of being prophetic is not to do, like, a magic trick, like palm reader, like tarot card reader. It's literally the point is to edify and to build up the church when you release a word. And specifically, people encounter Jesus when you give them a prophetic word, because oftentimes you reveal to them that God knows something about them that there's no way I can know that. Right. So that's the point of, like, releasing a prophetic word is just being like, oh, God sees me like this person. God spoke through this person because there's no way they could have known that. And so I've given many words of knowledge as I'm praying. I will always be like, I feel like I sense or I see, for example, you as a little girl and maybe your dad is absent and blah, blah, blah. Right. So oftentimes I give words that are like going to like, cause some emotion. Right. Oftentimes it's like emotional. You're. You're reaching into something that is emotional for someone. And so it's like typical for someone to be crying during something like that. But something so cool happened and like, it's so small, but it was such a faith builder for me because I'm praying for this woman and we're praying for so many people and everyone's bawling their eyes out, they're running up for prayer. And then this woman comes up and I feel okay to tell this story, but she comes up and she's not crying. She's not emotional. She's not like going through something crazy. She's really calm and she's like, will you just pray for me? I'm going to be a stay at home mom and I want my. I don't remember what she said, but something like, just pray for me. And I'm like, okay. So I lay hands, I start praying for her. And as I'm praying, I just see her sitting doing arts and crafts with her baby. That means nothing to me. Right?
Ariana
Right.
Angel
And so as I'm praying I'm like, this is so weird, but I see you doing arts and crafts. This woman was non emotional, completely calm. She pulls back from me and goes and like starts bawling her eyes out. And I go, what happened? I'm literally like, what? Like what was that? And it was just so funny because I like completely got out of the moment because to see someone. Arts and crafts, what does that mean? I don't know. But that meant something that was, that must be something that's hidden in her heart, a secret between her and God, something that is like so personal to her and. Right. It wasn't a big deal. I didn't give her some long prophetic word about where God is going to take her in her life. Arts and crafts, like, that's literally all I said. And it produced such a sense of like, God sees me and knows me. It's just a faith builder that people are like, he really, he is real and he does care about. Whatever arts and crafts means to her is just so cool.
Ariana
I love that it's so crazy to think. To think about our tour of. We thought we were just gonna go and share our testimonies and meet the people, answer questions, answer questions. Like, we had no idea that this was going to be literally revival and healings and miracle signs and wonders to ordinary girls.
Angel
Seriously, it's a continuation of the Book of Acts. That's what we're doing, and that's what we're all called to do. We are so obsessed with the ministry of Jesus, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to cast out demons, to heal the sick, to pray boldly for healing, to operate out of prophetic gifting. Guys, being a Christian isn't just about, like, just living a cute life. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Like, it is about going out and being the hands and feet. Jesus said, you will do greater things than I. So that means that we're meant to go out. Whatever we read in the Bible is actually not even our limitation to what we should be doing, should be doing things greater than what Jesus did, because that's what he said.
Ariana
Thank you for saying that. Because influencing is not just speaking on a podcast and being on a stage and preaching the gospel. Like, we are to be in the dirt with people. And I love that's why we're reading the story today. Because I even had a moment in Seattle with a man. And we can take this out. If he doesn't, I'll ask him before he post it. But his name was Sam. I posted a photo with him. It was one of the most monumental moments of my entire life. And I noticed him in the crowd. I called him over. I said, are you dealing with a sickness? He was told by the doctors that he only has five to 10 years left, and he was blind in his eyes. And he said that I had spoke to him in a way. I knew things in a way that nobody else knew. And he said he was delivered from so much that night. Wow. And so, you know, I can't believe how I was a girl who was so timid and afraid and just staying in communion with Jesus, really going deeper in intimacy with him. I. What I like to do before we go on tour. Even, like, in the mornings, even when I start my day right, I'll pray and I'll be like, what do you have for me today? Like, can you give me visions of the people? Like, what do you see? Like, in your secret time in the mornings? I will. Like, do you do that? Like, I'll pray. I'll be like, give me visions. What do you see? Lead me to a scripture to show me what the people are going through. And one of the scriptures that I was led to before we went on tour, too, was about strength and authority. And so I felt such. And I believe you did, too, of such a strength and authority of those two nights. And that is what I saw. We saw. I've never seen such a strength and authority of. Of two nights in my life like I did. And so it was so. It was so cool. It's so cool when God speaks to you and so cool.
Angel
And can I just say, this girl right here, ggb, you don't know what we have on our hands. A prayer warrior. A crazy, prophetic, mighty woman of God. And I mean that with my entire being. I don't even know who you are.
Ariana
Thank you.
Angel
I literally don't know who you are. I don't know who you've become. Your life is a miracle. Who you are, it's just insane. The power and the authority that you walk in, you are truly just not like. You're just not the person that you want. That timid person who's like, God, does my prayer sound good? You are a warrior. A warrior.
Ariana
I love you so much. Thank you for saying that. But I feel like that's what we want to talk about, too, today. There's so much timidity with people that are have their heads down. And I'm like, no, you are a mighty man, a mighty woman of God. You put your shoulders back and your head up and you go out and be the man or woman that God called you to be.
Angel
Be empowered.

If you guys listened to last week's episode, we talked about Moses and the burning bush. We read Exodus 3 to 10 and now we're going to start from verse 10 and we're going to continue on to the rest of the chapter. We have Moses in the burning bush. The Lord appears to Moses and this is such a profound, dynamic, important moment in history, in the history of our faith, where God comes down to his people and gives Moses the call that he's going to lead the Israelites out of Egypt into the promised land. And Moses is going to have to go through a lot. The Israelites are going to have to go through a lot. And this is the moment where God truly reveals where he stands. He's not neutral, he's not detached, he's not absent. This is the moment where he steps down and says, I stand with the oppressed, I stand with the suffering. I stand with the hurting. The suffering of my people matters so much to me. And it also matters that they know that I hear them, I see them, and I'm on a rescue mission. Always, always. I wrote down the Exodus begins with a God who moves towards pain. That's who God is. Every time he sees pain, every time he sees suffering, God is never wondering, shoot, what are we going to do? How are we going to get out of this? I didn't see this one coming. Let me think for a second. He's a God who knows the beginning from the end and is always prepared for deliverance, for freedom. And when he sees a need, he immediately moves to meet it. And when he sees pain, he immediately moves to help.
Ariana
Yeah, yeah, that's so good.
Angel
Let's start with verse nine. And now behold the cry of the people of Lord, we love you. We love your word so much. We lift your word high above every opinion, anything that sets itself up against you, Jesus, we just ask that you'd remove it in Jesus name. Any opinion, any preconceived notion, any interpretation that that isn't aligned with your spirit. God, I just pray that you'd remove all the junk and that your spirit would lead us to teach and preach and communicate your word effectively and with integrity. Jesus, thank you for the authoritative word of God that we build our lives on. We bless your name, God. We bless your word in Jesus name. And now behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me. And I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? I just want to pause. This is a moment where Moses, God is calling Moses, he's calling him to vocation. And Moses resists the call of God on his life because of insecurity, because of doubt in himself, because he does not feel qualified. This is a massive moment in scripture. Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? God said, but I will be with you and this shall Be the sign for you that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.
Ariana
But Moses protested. If I go to the people of Israel and tell them the God of your ancestors has sent me to you, they will ask me, what is his name? Then what should I tell him? Then what should I tell them? God replied to Moses, I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel. I am has sent me to you. God also said to Moses, say this to the people of Israel. Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob has sent you.
Angel
This is my eternal name. My name to remember for all generations. Now go and call together all the elders of Israel. Tell them, Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob has appeared to me. He told me, I have been watching closely and I see how the Egyptians are treating you. He sees. He sees. He sees. I have promised to rescue you from your oppression in Egypt. I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey. The land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites now live.
Ariana
The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell them the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met us. So please, let us take a three day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.
Angel
But I know that the King of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand forces him. So I will raise my hand and strike the Egyptians, performing all kinds of miracles among them. Then at last he will let you go. And I will cause the Egyptians to look favorably on you. They will give you gifts when you go, so you will not leave empty handed. Every Israelite woman will ask for articles of silver and gold and fine clothing from her Egyptian neighbors and from the foreign women in their houses. You will dress your sons and daughters with these, stripping the Egyptians of their wealth. This is such a good story. My faith was just like set on fire this morning when I was reading, because I was like, he is so sovereign and he's so aware. And God sees everything. And he always has a plan, even when we have no idea what's going on. So we begin with God approaching Moses and giving him a call to vocation. Which means that God is coming to Moses, saying that I, while you have probably had a plan for your life, a way that you thought things would go, maybe even dreams and desires. I am coming to you with a call. I am calling you to something that glorifies me and that builds my people up. And he's basically saying to Moses, like, I have something so specific for you. The purposes and the plans that I have for your life. I'm approaching you. And we all have a moment like this in our lives, or many moments like this, where God approaches us, disrupts our plans completely, and says, I have a call on your life. Are you gonna rise to the occasion? Are you gonna answer the call? Because in this moment, we find Moses as we see protest to God. Imagine God shows up himself. It's all of our dreams is that God would come down, sit on our bed, and be like, hey, girl, here's the plan I have for your life. This is the guy you're gonna date. This is what you're gonna do. Like, that's all of our dreams. That God would come and speak that clearly to us. And we have Moses, who, God, he literally has. I'm like jealous of his encounter with God because to have God come down and give you direct instructions on how you're going to carry out his will. Yeah, Is such a gift. And Moses responds by protesting. And Moses responds, we have Moses here, and he completely freezes because he is overcome and overwhelmed with a lack of identity, a lack of purpose, a lack of vision. All he can probably think about in this moment is his failures and his flaws and why he is not the person for this job. So God is standing in front of him saying, I have called you to this. And if I've called you to this, of course that means that I know about your flaws. I know about these things about you. But Moses still is so caught up in his own weaknesses that he protests and says, who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Which is such a clear indication of the identity with or of of the issue that we all have with identity, that when you don't know who you are, you'll be asking, who am I? But if you know who God is, you rarely ever ask that question, because God makes it so clear in this moment. Guess what, Moses? Sweet, sweet man, it's not about who you are. And I love this because Moses asks, who am I?
Ariana
And.
Angel
And God doesn't answer his question. And so while Moses is stuck in insecurity and self doubt, some people might expect God to like, coddle him a little bit and be like Moses, but like, you're so handsome, you're so strong. Who better than you yeah, but God does not sit there and try and build him up with compliments. Like, he literally actually doesn't disagree with him.
Ariana
Yeah.
Angel
He actually affirms him. Yeah, who are you? Thank God. That's not the point. He answers and says the one thing that Moses truly needs. I will be with you. So every time Moses is insecure and focused on himself, God responds by saying, look at who I am. I will be with you. It's not about who you are. It's about my presence going with you. It's all about if you can get back when you're struggling with self doubt. If you can, please try to take your eyes off of your capabilities and what you think you're worthy of and what you think that you're able to do and focus on. If I have the presence of God with me and in me, he, the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, if that dwells inside of me, there's literally nothing that I can't do if God has called me to it. And the whole foundation of all of this that I love so much is that God is not asking Moses to be a hero. He's just asking him to believe that he is who he says he is. You know, do you have anything?
Ariana
And I think that. And I think that's another thing that I love so much about this journey with the Lord, is that these things that we have beat ourselves up since we were kids about, I mean, I've always just felt so disqualified. All these things that I have thought would hold me back from my life's purpose. And what I love about Jesus and even the story so much is like, he doesn't sit there with Moses and be like, oh, let me heal your stuttering problems. Let me take away these. These little things that you feel so disqualified for. Let me help you. But don't worry. Like, he goes, okay, yeah, he's like, he's out, but I'll be with you. Like. And that is the greatest. That is the greatest part about Jesus. It's like, we think we need all these things. We think we need to be so, yeah, I don't know, educated and all these things. All these things. And it's like, it's in those moments where he breaks you is where he whispers in your ear. Now you go, now you're ready. And I just. I've never related more to a scripture than this one, because this is how many of us are like Moses, like, where we sit there and we're like, no, I look at my family, look at where I come from. Look at, I'm too far gone. How could I don't have a college education. I'm in my 30s, I'm in my 50s. Like I'm. My time is up.
Angel
I sin too much, my past is too dirty.
Ariana
Yeah, like I could, could never, like God could never use me. And it's the like. If you look back to everyone in the body, you know when your entire feed is just health advice from the algorithm.
Angel
Crazy.
Ariana

What is the word?
Angel
Vulnerable. Weakest.
Ariana
Just the weakest shepherd boy. Like the person that you would never think is the one that God chooses always. And so yeah, it's. I just, I love this so much. I will be with you. I. I just wanted to say one more thing about this. We get so in our feelings but everything is rooted to pride when we think about like we sit there and we're like I can't do this, I can't do that. I'm not ready. And we hold ourselves back so much from the call that God has in our lives. And while we think like it's all rooted to pride.
Angel
You think it's humility, but it's actually, it's pride.
Ariana
Yeah, like, what do you mean you can't. You God's calling you to do something, but you're sitting there and you're questioning God. That's why it's so important to be rooted in the word, not what your heart and your emotions say because they can be so deceiving and it's all rooted in fear.
Angel
I love that you say that so much. Because false humility. People think that they're being humble when so often they're actually being prideful. And it's false humility that could potentially thwart God's will in your life because you are disqualifying yourself and calling it being humble. Genuinely in this moment, Moses is stuck in pride by being so absorbed in his own insecurity. And I just want to encourage everybody that do not be the one who disqualifies yourself. Don't do that to yourself. Don't use language like, who am I to do this? I can't do this. I could never be good enough for this. That's baloney garbage. Silly, goofy spirits. Like, that's not good. You can literally do anything if God is calling you to do it. My favorite thing my mom has ever done is given me a little bit of delusional confidence where she's like. She's like. From a really young age, she's like, there's nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't do. And so I'm genuinely, I'm gonna believe now with Jesus on my side, not in an arrogant way, if I have the spirit of the living God inside of me. And he. Now, if I wanna do something he's not calling me to do, that's different. But if God is calling me to something, I am going to have ridicul, ridiculous confidence. Not in myself, but in Jesus. Ariana
Yeah, and I think that's one of the things I've really learned this past year because I think I've really stepped into a new boldness and authority. It's like, but he sent you. But why are you saying what, what you can't do? I've sent you, so go. I'm with you. And so I've really tried to get out of his way and just more lean into being like, your grace is sufficient for me. So please help me in this moment. So instead of complaining and being like, I can, I can't I more lean into now being like, I feel weak right now. Lord, I need your strength to come upon me right now because I can't do this. Like, I need you in this moment. And we've, that's happened so many times on tour with us where we're so out of strength, where we're like, how in the world are we going to do that? And we, we both look at each other and we do that prayer. Lord, your grace is sufficient for me, can be my strength. I am weak right now. I need your strength. And it's just been this beautiful, it's been beautiful to, to lean into that, especially this past year.
Angel
You know, I feel so compelled to tell every person listening genuinely, if you're in a situ like I feel like I want to tell you guys to get out of your own way, get out of your head. Stop thinking so much. Be discerning, be thoughtful, be prayerful about things and step out in faith. Stop, don't ever use the words I can't. Stop disqualifying yourself. Stop believing lies about who you are and what you're capable of. Like, have, have confidence that God lives inside of you and you can do anything that you put your mind to. That If God is with you and he's called you to it and genuinely, you got to get out of your head. You have to get out of this. Don't live in here of like, you've just. You've got to break through insecurity. You have to break through a lack of identity. You have to just choose and be like, this is not the life that God has called me to live. He has not called me to be identity less and purposeless and afraid to step out and do every anything and. And feeling like I'm not good enough, truthfully say a prayer and then choose to come out of agreement with those lies. I really feel that so strongly that like, it's a choice. It's a choice that you make to be like, you know what? I'm done. I'm done believing lies about myself and being stuck in this victim. Like, who am I, who am I to do it though? I can't do. Yes you can.
Ariana
And the way to do that, the way to come out of that, the way to find your identity is to go deeper. You think you're deep right now, you go deeper. I have stepped into a new boat like God has. Truly, I'm going to tell you, I have literally, I'm going to show you a picture I took of you guys. For you guys. I have this in my house. We'll put it bigger. It's. It's a girl with her hands over her head. I had someone pray for me last week in my home. And he said, you see that girl? That's not you anymore. God is calling you into a new season. And you guys, I can't even the boldness and authority I have stepped into. Why? Because I have gone deeper with Jesus where people will think you are so nuts that you're just know that you're in a good place. Like my. You know what my Friday nights have looked like this past year on my floor studying the word of God. You want boldness and authority? This is it right here. This is what you need. This is it.
Angel
This is it.
Ariana
And where. Where everyone is looking to other people, to things to. To. To validation on social media. It's empty. And that's the problem. You are never gonna feel bold and have authority through these things that are fleeting. You want authority? Study this. You want authority? Sit in your prayer time when it seems uncomfortable, in the moments where you want to get up, sit there, spend time with the Lord. Do you know why I have authority and a boldness? Because I feel safe. Because I have peace. And when you feel safe. And you. You have peace. You have a boldness and authority that cannot shake you. There has been a voice in my head since I'm a kid tormenting my mind, telling me that. Whispering things in my ear that I'll never be anything, that I'm stuck, that I'm not educated, that's been following me since I was a little girl and I was just talking to someone about this. But, like, I can't believe that. I don't struggle with that anymore. I don't struggle with those voices and the torment in my. My mind. The. The Satan is an accuser. And if he can keep you timid in fear with your head down, feeling stuck, constantly saying that you're. You're never going to be anything and you can't go, you're going to miss the call of God. And that's why we have to guard our hearts and we have to guard our minds. We have to put on the. The helmet of salvation. Scripture says, you put on the helmet of. You put on the belt of righteousness. You saturate yourself with the word of God. You spend time with the Lord. When you do that, you have boldness, you have safety, you have peace, and you have authority.
Angel
So good. So then verse 12 says, God answered, I will be with you. And then again, Moses protests again, a second time, he says, all right, well, if I go to the people of Israel and tell them the God of your ancestors as sent me to you, they will ask me, what is his name? Then what should I tell them? So you see, the first time God calls him, Moses protests with, well, who am I? And then the second time, Moses says, well, who are you? So it's like these two. As Ari said, Satan is an accuser, and he always comes for two things, your identity and your perception of God. And so in this moment, Moses says, if I go to the people of Israel, what do I say that their name is? And God replies to Moses and says, I am who I am. Say this, that the I am has sent you. And what I love so much about this moment is that when Moses asked for God's name, because this is so important, this is so important that we know who God is. And it's really specific to know what his name is, where he comes from. And that's why anyone who's listening, who is under the impression that God is. Can be anything, that he can be the universe. You can know Allah and God. You could be a little Christian. You can be a little Hindu. I'm telling you right now with so much compassion in my heart, you are believing a flat out lie. There is only one God. His name is Jesus. And his name isn't also Allah. There's not a universal God. Where Muslims and Hindus and agnostics and all these people we could just like collective, it's like not a collective consciousness like Jesus. Yahweh, he goes on to say. He goes on to say that, say this to the people. Find your purpose at gcu. Private Christian affordable Visit GCU Edu My offer People of Israel, Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name. That's I why we say in the name of Jesus, the name of Jesus, Yahweh, Yeshua, like it is. So it is. The most authoritative thing that we have in this world is the name of Jesus. And if you're somebody or you know somebody who thinks that God is just. I have been preaching this so much recently that Jesus is not an idea. Yahweh is not, not an abstract deity that's somewhere far away. He is a God who binds himself to people because he is obsessed with humans, because he created them for himself. It's like when people say Jesus loves you. It's not just like a little sweet sentiment like Jesus loves you, it is a commitment. It is a God who has given everything to his people, who is fully and wholeheartedly devoted and committed, covenanted to a people. He's not just an idea. So this moment is so powerful of God saying, I have a name, I am a person, I have a character. And my name has to be exalted above every other name. And there cannot be any mixture. This is the first time because the Israelites go on a long Journey of idolatry and weird practices and believing in other gods and just like a lot of creatures, confusion, perversion, weirdness, and like, sure, we don't do the things the Israelites did, but we get confused. We have idolatry and specifically, there are a lot of people who have mixture Christianity and New Age Christianity and the universe. I love Jesus's teachings, but I also love these Hindu practicers or whatever the heck that's not. Okay. Yeah, that's literally all I can say. Say that there is one name by which there is one name under heaven by which men can be saved, and it's the name of Jesus. And if there's anybody in your life or even yourself who you have even a little bit of mixture in your heart, you have completely missed it. One degree off of Jesus, one degree off of Yahweh, you are completely opening yourself up to darkness. That is why worship is giving yourself entirely, completely. And so this is just the most important. Like, this is for me, like, yeah, identity is imperfect. Identity is important. And knowing who you are, but knowing who God is and the place that you have to have him in your life is most important. Because guess what then you don't even care about who you are. Because when you have an understanding of who Jesus is, it changes everything about your life. You move through life so much differently. Tragedy can hit your life and people will be like, why are you like, how is your head above water right now? How are you getting through the days? How are you even kind of okay in this? And you go, because I know who God is. I know who God is. And that changes everything.
Ariana
And you know what he says about you.
Angel
Yes.
Ariana
That's why we walk in boldness and confidence, because we know what he says about us. We don't go by our emotions or what our people around us say or what the Internet when we. We know what God says about us. So we can walk in that, that authority and boldness and safety and peace. I was very heart centered, ruled by emotions. I was so ruled by emotions. I was so ruled by what others said about me.
Angel
One thing that I wrote down is the Exodus is not just escape, it is transformation. It's a story of slaves becoming people, victims becoming worshippers, and the wounded becoming whole. I love this so much because God's whole purpose for us is that we would live free lives. This story in scripture is so important because it just sets us up for the rest of the Bible and for the rest of our own lives that God came to bind the brokenhearted and Set the captives free. We are meant to live in freedom.
Ariana
Yeah. Yeah.
Angel
And I am constantly aware of the areas in my life that I'm not free. And I am constantly not okay with not being free.
Ariana
Yeah.
Angel
Every time something comes up or I go through something, even things I'm walking through right now, that I'm like, oh, I'm not free there. I'm not free in this area. What did God come to do? Free me? What did Jesus die for? Freedom. So what am I not going to do? Settle for being bound. And what I love about the rest of the story, too, is that God is honest about the cost. Cost. Because he tells him, Pharaoh's not just going to let you leave. I'm going to have to. Have to intervene. I wish we could read the rest of Exodus because it's so good. Pharaoh starts going nuts. He is just such an awful ruler. And God literally sends plagues and sends famines and sends all this stuff. God deliberately intervenes to show his power to get the glory and to free his people. And ultimately the whole point of this story is that, that God wants us to be free, delivered, and he wants to be the one to do it.
Ariana
That's right.
Angel
He wants to use people, have us participate. But he gets the glory. And so God will start doing miracles and signs and wonders like insane things. Parting the Red Sea, bringing mana from heaven, bringing. Getting water from a rock. Like, he does all of these miracles to show his people, like, not only do I love you and I care for you and I'll provide for you in these ways. I am Yahweh.
Ariana
Yeah.
Angel
I am God. There is no other God besides me. So it is the story of a God who refuses to let bondage define his people. And he always moves toward freedom. God refuses. If you're listening right now and you're in bondage and you're not free and your heart is broken and you're living in the past or you're addicted to. To something, and you just know in your heart I'm not free. Just letting you know God is a God who is obsessed with you being free, who has a rescue mission happening right now. And he's inviting you into freedom. He's inviting your participation. He's inviting you to take the steps forward, necessary that would bring you the freedom that you're looking for. But you have to understand that it is a lie from the devil that there's anything in your life that you don't just have to live with forever. You don't, you don't. You can be free. It's God's desire that you'd be free.
Ariana
And it takes time.
Angel
Yeah, sometimes.
Ariana
And so it takes a long time sometimes. So what we'll just say to you is, don't give up. When you don't, even though it still hurts and you feel like you're taking five steps back, so good. It takes time to be free from something you've been addicted to or have made an idol for so long. So just don't give up. Because in the middle of you wanting to give up is when God is doing his best work, literally.
Angel
Don't grow weary. Don't give up, please. I love that you said that. R. Don't freaking give up. Can I say freaking on the podcast? I don't know. Okay.
Ariana
God led me to Psalm 93, 193 today, and I just wanted to read it.
Angel
Praise the Lamb. I love you, Jesus.
Ariana
He also led me to Psalm 138. He so I love 1:38. You know those moments when he speak, he, like, leads you to a scripture, and he ministers through scriptures. It's.
Angel
It's sweet Jesus.
Ariana
He. I Read in Psalm 38, 138. Psalm 138. Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but He. He keeps his distance from the proud. And so when you think, oh, that's right. So it's like, it's these moments, even though you feel so inadequate, let him work like he God. That's why he chooses you. That's why he says, I want that one. Because you don't think you're too proud. So when you're watching everyone with their fake confidence and arrogance everywhere, just like you should be, God is so proud of you. God is so pleased with you. You are not timid. You are not afraid. You are not what the doctors or your teachers told you. You are a mighty man or a mighty woman. God, I don't know who I'm talking to right now, but I want to let you know, put your shoulders back and put your head up and walk in the authority that God has called you to. I feel that for someone right now.
Angel
Let's go.
Ariana
I feel like you've had your head down, shaking, timid for too long, like your teachers or a doctor or your parents have told you lies and have planted things in your mind, and it's not true. All right, I need to talk about my friend Carolina's cat for a second, because this animal has more sass than most humans I know.
Angel
Truly.
Ariana
Every time I'm at her house, he gives me this look like auntie no one has fed me in centuries. Meanwhile, he's living a better life than all of us combined.
Angel
But then Carolina switched him to Smalls and suddenly he stopped acting like a victim and started acting like a king.
Ariana
I wish some of these guys would do that.

Angel

Just use code GGB for 10 off your first order sitewide@ocamalibu.com that's 10% off your first order with code GGB O S E A Malibu.com is to give you an identity. I say that about a lot. I'm like, his whole point. My pastor Darren said something one time in a service that kind of like. Like, it was like, ow, but also so true. He goes, if you're struggling with identity, you're a baby Christian. And that's like, identity work is so important, letting Jesus give you an identity. But truly, if you're struggling with your identity, that's the basis and right. We all struggle with our identity. And you will continue throughout life. Things happen, moments happen. Like, it's a continual process. But truly, if you're. If you are struggling with your identity so much, much to the point where it is holding you back in life, you are a baby Christian because it's the foundation of what we do. Like, it's the foundation of faith. The first thing is God speaks identity into you and says, it doesn't matter who you are, where you've been, what your past is, what your parents said about you. You are a daughter or a son, an heir of Christ, a prince, a priest. And like, it is so imperative that you get the identity situation taken care of right away, that you go to church, you find elders, you find someone to disciple you and say, how do I find my identity in Christ? And they're literally going to say, read the word, pray, follow Jesus. One of my favorite moments in Scripture about identity is Peter in the Gospels where Jesus asked, peter who? Peter? Simon. Simon, who do you think that I am? Or who do people say that I am? And then he says, well, they say, you're like John the Baptist, or maybe you're like the prophets. And Jesus says, but who do you say that I am? And he says, you are the Messiah, the Christ. And then Jesus responds and changes his name and says that you are now going to be called Peter, which means the rock. And on this rock, rock will my church be built. So it's a moment of identity being given. A name is given. He recognized the name of Jesus being the Messiah, the Christ. Jesus, in turn, immediately gives him his name, and it means rock, which is the foundation of the church. Identity is all about foundation. And there's so many people running around not knowing their identity when it's truly. And this isn't in a way to, like, identity stuff. I go through it all the time. So, like, I'm with you in it, but it is the. Every time I'm struggling with my identity, I recognize what am I talking about. I know my identity. I know it very well. But it gets rocked sometimes. Things happen. You go through things. It's very normal, but, like, you just have to under. I just don't want anyone walking through life being like, I just got to find my identity. Like, you have your identity. You have it. There is no finding it. It's just claiming it.
Ariana
Yeah, yeah. Taking authority. And even. Even there's. There's. I was telling angel on the car right here, I'm like, I. I think that's something that's been a thorn in my flesh. Is. Is those thoughts in my mind telling me I'm disqualified, telling me I'm not good enough, telling me, who. Who am I to preach the gospel?
Angel
Who.
Ariana
I mean, I literally got saved. And God goes, okay, go. Go preach the gospel. I love him for that.
Angel
I love him for that so much.
Ariana
Jesus, why are you, like, that's who he chooses. So if you're someone who's like, how can I. Like, you think about our story, how I just. I just found Jesus. And he goes, now go. Yeah, and I'll be with you like, he's with you. I want to read Psalm 139. Lord, you examined my heart, and you know everything about me. You know the way I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts. Even when I'm far away, I can just hear David, David saying, that's just, like, scatterbrained. You know me when I travel or when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I'm going to say even before I say it. Lord, you go before me and you follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me and great to understand. I can never escape from your spirit. I can never get away from your presence. If I go up to heaven, you are there. If I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there, your hand will guide me and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night. But even darkness I cannot hide from you. To you, the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous. How well I know it. When I got to that part, when he led me to the scripture this morning. Can you imagine? Like, I've not. I know we've read this scripture so many times, but think about that. You knit me together in my mother's womb. You made me so wonderfully complex. You knew my shortcomings. You knew my little quirks. You knew, like, he knows everything about you. All these things that you say, I'm so disqualified and I can't do. Like, he knows these parts. He made you. He made you this way. So why are we beating ourselves up and saying that is the very reason why I can't do that?
Angel
Yeah, let him use it. Like, let him use the, the quirks.
Ariana
Do you know? Do you understand? I. I mean, I've said this so many times. My accent, the way I work, the way my mind works is the very thing that God uses. Why people are like, oh, my gosh, I feel seen, like I, you know, and so it's. It's unbelievable. And so every time you have these moments where you're like, I, but. But I can't because of this, but I didn't graduate. But, but he made you this way. He knows all of your little quirks, so do not let that hold you back. He sees you, he wants to use it, and he. It says in scripture that I give power to the powerless. Let him use you in this broken, humble state. Humble yourself before the Lord. What I did this past year was I really needed help with my mind. I really needed help on not doing negative self talk to myself. I really needed help with. With confidence and feeling good and just not speaking so ill will about myself because I noticed that I really did that so much. So one of the things that I really did, went through with Jesus was like, lord, help me with my insecurity. Help me speak life and not death. Help me not be in fear so much. Help me, Lord. Would you cultivate a boldness in me that I can stand straight up because I can't. Like, he sees us. It's not that, oh my gosh, like you're being disobedient to God, but it's something that I really humbled myself before him and said, I need help with this because I'm real. I was at a point where I was really struggling. Being on the podcast. I was really struggling on tour for a second. I felt really, I felt really beat up in my mind and so really taking authority of your thoughts, renewing the mind constantly. That's why the Bible says, renew your mind. The heart is deceitful, so constantly renewing your. I take authority of those thoughts. I am a child of God. He is with me. Like, saturating yourself in the prayer, saturating yourself in the Psalms, this is how you walk in boldness and authority.
Angel
And I also want to say, too, something that I deal with is, like, a way that I feel disqualified a lot is when I am going through something in my personal life and then I start to be like, how could I possibly lead anybody? When I feel lost, that's something that I'll experience. And I. My biggest crutch is that, like, if I don't feel like I'm perfect or my life is perfect, I immediately feel disqualified from teaching people about Jesus because I'm like, well, if I really knew anything, I'd have this figured out. This wouldn't be happening. I wouldn't feel so lost. And so my biggest who am I? Moment is, like, when it's like, the spirit of striving and perfectionism and, like, arrogance, truly, that, like. Like, if I'm perfect and my life is perfect and everything is perfect, then I am qualified to talk about Jesus and lead people. And so what God has been breaking off of me so much is being like, girl, you're not perfect. You're never going to be perfect. Even when you think you're perfect, you're not perfect. That's not why I've called you to this. That is not why I've called you to this. And so it's a really humbling thing to be like. Like, oh, my gosh. Asking the who am I? Question is so actually arrogant, because it's not. I'll never be perfect. So if I ever get to a point where I do think I'm perfect, we have big problems. And so that's something that I walk through so much of being like, who am I to lead anybody if I don't have it all figured out? So if anybody's listening and you're like, until I have everything figured out, I'm not going to start the this thing. I'm not going to put myself out there. I'm not going to try because I have to figure everything out first. No, you don't do it anyways. Don't listen to that lie. We love you guys so much. Thank you for being with us today. This was amazing.

This was amazing. One more thing I'm going to say is, when you are lacking identity, it is crucial that you have good community around you. Community has saved our lives. When we don't know who we are, we're having something. You know, we're just, like, foggy or we're going through something. We can call each other. We need each other to be reminded to speak scripture over us to speak faith and boldness. And you need to be around good people that are on fire to help you, to lift you up when you are feeling down so good.
Angel
We love you. We love you guys so much. Thanks for being with us. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May he turn his face face towards you and give you so much peace. Shalom. Shalom. We love you guys.
Hosts: Angela Halili & Arielle Reitsma
Date: November 28, 2025
In this heartfelt episode, Angela and Arielle dive deep into the theme of insecurity—how it affects our sense of calling and identity, and why God’s presence trumps our self-doubt. Pulling from their personal experiences on the Girls Gone Bible tour and their study of Moses’ calling in Exodus 3, they address the spiritual roots of insecurity, share testimonies of inner and physical healing, and encourage listeners to embrace God’s view over their lives instead of their own limitations. The episode is an empowering call to step out in faith, break free from self-disqualification, and walk boldly in the identity that God gives.

Seattle Highlight:
Angela shares a moving recap of their event in Seattle, describing a powerful sense of God making people feel personally seen:
“There was just like an anointing over the whole night… it felt like God was speaking to people personally.” – Angel [04:22]
Physical & Emotional Healings:
“Arts and crafts. That meant something… that must be something that's hidden in her heart, a secret between her and God.” – Angel [08:44]
Stepping into Authority:
Arielle describes praying with a man, Sam, who was told he had 5-10 years left and who found deliverance and hope through a prophetic word:
“He said he was delivered from so much that night.” – Ariana [11:13]
[10:04]
The hosts assert that the ministry of Jesus was never meant to be limited to the first apostles:
“It’s a continuation of the Book of Acts… We are so obsessed with the ministry of Jesus… Being a Christian isn’t just about living a cute life.” – Angel [10:06]
True influence, they argue, means being hands-on, present, praying for people, and allowing space for miracles, not just speaking from a platform.
[16:12]
“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” – Moses (quoted by Angel) [18:53]
God doesn't coddle Moses or build him up with compliments. He simply says:
“I will be with you.” – God (quoted by Angel) [25:47]
Key Reflection:
When insecure, we focus on our abilities; God wants us to fix our eyes on Him.
“If you know who God is, you rarely ever ask that question, because God makes it so clear... it’s not about who you are.” – Angel [24:37]
False humility is called out as a form of pride that can hinder God’s plans:
“People think they’re being humble when so often they’re actually being prideful… You are disqualifying yourself and calling it being humble.” – Angel [31:01]
[28:22]
“Everyone that was the weakest… is the one that God chooses always.” – Ariana [30:05]
Go deeper with Jesus—not just a surface prayer life, but daily, persistent seeking.
“You think you’re deep right now, you go deeper.” – Ariana [38:42] “You want boldness and authority? This is it right here.” – Ariana [39:14] (holding up her Bible)
Spiritual discipline leads to safety and authority:
“When you feel safe and you have peace, you have a boldness and authority that cannot shake you.” – Ariana [39:41]
God’s primary desire is for us to live free—not as slaves to fear, insecurity, or our past.
“The Exodus is not just escape, it is transformation… victims becoming worshippers, and the wounded becoming whole.” – Angel [47:49]
God’s name and character are exclusive and personal:
“There is only one God. His name is Jesus… Jesus is not an idea… He is a God who binds himself to people because he is obsessed with humans.” – Angel [45:17]
Identity is foundational. If struggles with identity persist, seek discipleship and saturate oneself in God’s word and worship.
“If you are struggling with your identity so much… you are a baby Christian because it’s the foundation of faith.” – Angel [57:36]
Don’t wait to “have it all together” before stepping into your calling:
“No, you don’t… Do it anyway. Don’t listen to that lie.” – Angel [66:00]
Use honest prayer to break strongholds of insecurity.
Community is essential:
“It’s crucial that you have good community around you. Community has saved our lives.” – Ariana [67:56]
“God is not asking Moses to be a hero. He’s just asking him to believe that he is who he says he is.” – Angel [26:33]
“False humility… could potentially thwart God’s will in your life because you are disqualifying yourself and calling it being humble.” – Angel [31:01]
“You want authority? Study this. You want authority? Sit in your prayer time, even when it seems uncomfortable… This is how you walk in boldness and authority.” – Ariana [39:14, 63:40]
“The Satan is an accuser. And if he can keep you timid in fear with your head down, feeling stuck… you’re going to miss the call of God.” – Ariana [39:41]
“Let him use the quirks.” – Angel [63:40]
