After his first finish at the Grand to Grand Ultra Bart Battista of the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab knew he could do better. He hired a coach, changed up his nutrition and gear, coming back to a personal best. He also caught the ultra running bug and is now looking to run the new Utah 50 miler in Kanab.
