Oh, you go do that. That should be fun.
Deontay Kyle
We gotta leave out. It's what, three hour drive? It's not crazy.
Big Ice Cupcat
No, it's not crazy. That's really like four hour.
Deontay Kyle
Wow.
Big Ice Cupcat
It's two to Chattanooga and then Chattanooga, Nashville. Like a two hours so far.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
So four hour drive.
Deontay Kyle
Oh, yeah. We gotta go to the mountains. Yeah, that's gonna be beautiful. Jalen. Gotta get that vlog popped.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah. Good scenery.
Deontay Kyle
In the mountains, we see anything that say scenic view. Yeah, let's stop.
Big Ice Cupcat
Just gotta stop. Yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Get the view.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Deontay Kyle
Do a drop.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, gotta do a drop in the mountains.
Deontay Kyle
Do a drop on the mountain.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
Watch out for the 18 bullets.
Deontay Kyle
Oh, they're moving. Trust me, I know they're moving. A lot of Jake breaks. Yeah, a lot of going on, man. So I went to D.C. and it was the. There's the PG Parks and Rec HBCU experience.
Big Ice Cupcat
Okay.
Deontay Kyle
So I went to go speak on a panel there and we did two panels. One was about podcasts specifically, and then one was about life on campus or like just, you know, the incentivizing the children to go to HBCUs. And then what happened? So, you know, they just respect my intellect, right? And then they like, oh, oh, this thing ain't go to college.
Big Ice Cupcat
He ain't even. He didn't even attend school.
Deontay Kyle
They had to adjust and say, dmt, you took an alternative route for your education. I said, oh, shit.
Caller/Listener
Oh man.
Deontay Kyle
But that shit actually was perfect for that space because it's also. There are kids there that probably felt like college.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
But their parents, you know, probably alumni. A lot of alumni in there.
Big Ice Cupcat
A lot of them now.
Deontay Kyle
Oh, man, it was beautiful though, man. They had, you know, little sleep. The band played. Okay. Band?
Ski
Who?
Big Ice Cupcat
Howard?
Deontay Kyle
I believe it was Ant. Ant.
Big Ice Cupcat
Okay.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, yeah, they. They did their thing. Yeah, man, when the babies with you,
Big Ice Cupcat
bro, it's different when the babies mess with you.
Deontay Kyle
When the youth, when the youth.
Big Ice Cupcat
When the youth look up to you
Deontay Kyle
and the crazier part is like, like when it's them and they mama or them and they pops and they both like, yeah, they rock with you, they both rocking. You know what I'm saying that. Okay, we doing the right thing over here. I wanted to discuss something that we discussed there. I wanna kinda just extend the conversation. Okay. So a lot of times when we talk about HBCUs, we leave out the historical context of em. You know, we look at em as historically black colleges, but we forget the why, you know what I mean? We forget the fact that we was kinda left out of higher education for the longest time. Black people had all of the labor skills and to be once upon a time for it to be punishable by death for us to be educated or just to be able to read. It's very important that when we do go seek education, that we seek education amongst ourselves, from ourselves, in environments that are going to be comfortable for us, environments that are going to nourish us in environments where we can experience our blackness on a level you're never going to experience again in life. This is kind of like these become many societies, you know, they become microcosms of the human experience. And I think, you know. You know, I have no regrets in my life. I think everything I've been through in my life is exactly why I am who I am and how I am.
Caller/Listener
Right.
Deontay Kyle
But, you know, if you go back and you was to go again and I was gonna make a choice, I would definitely have went to hbcu. And because I was at them anyway. This thing don't understand.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
I'm at Clark.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Every weekend. Yeah, I met Clark every weekend. Not only selling, but getting them numbers.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, huh?
Deontay Kyle
Trying to find my wife.
Big Ice Cupcat
Gotta get them numbers.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah. I mean, I'm trying to find you something, man.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, man.
Deontay Kyle
Listen, man, you go, Clark, you go get you a haircut. Yeah, right there in the front. Right there in front.
Big Ice Cupcat
Right there.
Deontay Kyle
It's gone now, but.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, but, oh, man, it used to
Deontay Kyle
be the spot, man. Listen, man, we're gonna pull out the Clark Park, Go get a quick little lineup. Walk that campus. Walk the campus, baby. And you meeting people from everywhere. Yeah. Meeting people from Los Angeles. First little. I remember. Yeah. I remember a little Boston team. I didn't even know black people was in Boston.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah. So you go in the clock.
Deontay Kyle
They here. Yeah, they everywhere. So I think the thing is, like, the HBCU experience is very necessary for our youth. It's very necessary. Even if you want to go into higher education as a black teacher or professor, it's good to go back to, you know, where you could teach our own folks. Like, it's gonna be a certain language that we can speak with each other that we can't speak everywhere else. And, you know, like, even with my stepmother being a professor at Winston Salem State, my father retired from Winston Salem State, it's like, shit. You know, my dad a Fayetteville State Bronco, but he, like, when he went to go further his career, hbcu, him, I gotta go see me. I think Fayetteville State, like, it's like low key, just honorary. Cause it's in Fayetteville. It's just black in here.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, Just black.
Deontay Kyle
It's just black. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But I think that what we discussed is like, this idea of the narrative about HBCUs. They always want to highlight the issues. So, you know, if they have a plumbing issue or they have, like, issues with the dorms or they have issues on campus. It's always those negative things that are highlighted. And I think that the thing is those issues exist at every college. They do, they do. And we tend to, we tend to set a certain standard of perfection for our own people that we don't have for everybody else. Like you can go have a bad experience somewhere else and you won't chalk it up to it being a white owned business. You won't chalk it up to it being corporate. You won't chalk it up to being about race of the people that own it. But as soon as you have a bad experience with us, it's because it's a black owned business or it's because it's an hbcu. Now I think that if anybody listening works at hbcu, has attended hbcu, are thinking about going to hbcu, or knows somebody who can make decisions at hbcu, I think that there's a way for us to control our own narrative. I think this is a way for us. And you know, I have an idea for how y' all can control your own narratives. How y' all can market better to the young people and how, and how y' all can just basically like give people an insight on the experience. But it's gonna take some updating to getting with the time. So we are in a creator economy right now. Everybody wants to be a creator. I think I was with Kenny Burns. Kenny Burns says somewhere around 37 to 40% of youth all now want to be content creators or in the digital media space. So you have to feed into that. That's a nice chunk of people.
Big Ice Cupcat
It is.
Deontay Kyle
You know, I'm saying 4 out of 10 is like, that's a lot of folks that they just stepped away. So I think that each HBCU administration, whoever's over budgeting, should allocate at least $10,000 per month to creative ventures for their students. Who are the top 10 creators? Who are the top 10 content creators on your campus? You need to figure out who that is. I would say they are college students. If you pay them, let's just say $1,000. Oh yeah, you pay them 1,000 per month. You pay all 10 of them 1,000 per month. No matter what they following is, you know, I mean, I would say you would probably want to incentivize for kids who have a bigger following. And we'll figure out, I'm just saying work on a sliding scale, right? Let's just say we got $10,000 for 10 creators and they could just do A day in the life on the HBCU campus. And you do that month one, and in month two, you pay somebody that's a streamer that got a good following, a black streamer, $10,000 to come walk on the campus and come rock out, like come to a slot step show, come to halftime at one of the football games, come to campus life and just get people to experience it. I think the thing about ishowspeed what he did so great is he showed us the real Africa.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, he did.
Deontay Kyle
In all these different countries. He showed us what it was, not the propaganda that America would push about it being third world, not the worst parts of it. He showed the beauty of it and he showed the progress of it. He showed the value of it. He showed they over there getting money too, while still infusing their cultural traditions. I think we do a disservice trying to put out fires and control PR when somebody, when something goes viral about something negative instead of being on top of it, about showing all the positive aspects of it and not showing the positives in a campus tour every like once or twice a year. But I think showing the positives year round, you know what I mean? Like, this is what we doing this month.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah. What was the show on BET when
Deontay Kyle
the dude used to go.
Big Ice Cupcat
Not College Hill.
Deontay Kyle
Oh, the other.
Big Ice Cupcat
He used to go around campuses, go to the step shows, go to homecomings, but they would play music videos in between. But he was also showing the life of the campus.
Deontay Kyle
I don't remember. I remember dark skinned dude. I remember that did make me want to go to.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that's, that's a good way to integrate that back, minus the music videos, but that'd be a good way to, you know, bring that type of feel back, man.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, I think it's up to us. I think, I think it's up to like, we can't wait for anything to come outside from the outside. And I think like, even with something like that, like we can't wait on a corporation and come do it. They, you know, BET was unique in that. And those days is over. Go on the ogbt, that's over. They're not interested in highlighting the black experience anymore. It's more so about just, you know, they become a streaming service and now it's part of Paramount. So, you know, it's over with and it's for, you know. But there are streamers, you know what I mean? There are people that do streams and these young people listen to them and they watch them and that's where their attention is. And so you have to go where the attention is. You know, if there's a girl or a guy on your campus that got X amount of followers on TikTok and they do whatever their content may be, man, throw them some chicken. Throw them some chicken. Then they ain't gotta worry about just doing shit for brands and nothing like that. They can stay focused on their education and they can rep where they go to school at, because you never gonna meet a prouder bunch of people than people that graduated from hbcu, for sure. So I think it's important for us to take control of that narrative. I think for alumni, when y' all have y' all alumni meetings to bring this up and like, okay, you know, we putting our dues towards this. Let's allocate some of the funds towards creators, right, so that we can show a different side of our HBCUs, and. And so we can start a positive aspect. Because I think oftentimes we are fighting other narratives on the defense instead of taking the offense. Most people, most companies take the offense when it comes to their marketing and narratives. And I just think that that's something that's not been discussed or thought about. So take that nugget and run with it. You know what I'm saying? Because there are. And I think even more than that, you know, we always talk about our wealthy and our elite, you know, giving back to the black community, but I think it starts in education. If we was gonna start funneling that money anywhere besides, like, you know, patronizing black businesses, let's start funding some of our HBCUs and seeing what they need. You know what I mean? It's the same way that museums work type shit, you know what I'm saying? So, yeah, man, you know, I just think that that's a beautiful thing. I think if you gonna go and pursue your higher education, your higher education should 100% be pursued around your people, man. I don't think you have a better experience than doing it like that. Big Ice Cupcat
D.C. good food.
Deontay Kyle
Oh, jerk wing, man. Hey, man, they did they thing, bruh.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, man.
Deontay Kyle
I was watching this video by Garrison Hayes, and he was talking about the N word. And basically the part of it that he was talking about, and I would suggest anybody to go watch this. These are the things that I. This is the shit I be looking at when I'm on YouTube, when I. You know, I don't really watch podcasts anymore. It's hard for me to find, like, two hours to sit down and listen to somebody talk. But Garrison does, like, these really good videos, and this one is actually from, like, four years ago, but it's about how. What's your boy name? What's your boy name? It's this dude, the dude that was on the O.J. simpson trial. Black dude. Not. Not Johnny Cochran.
Big Ice Cupcat
No. You talking about his friend.
Deontay Kyle
It was. You remember when you talking about OJ Friend, Right? It wasn't his friend. He was on the defense. He was. He was a part of the prosecution.
Big Ice Cupcat
Oh, he's part of the prosecution.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah. But basically. Basically, I know you talking.
Big Ice Cupcat
The one who Johnny Cochran was like, yeah, yeah, he schooled him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, you talking about.
Deontay Kyle
So the point being is that, like. So he discussed this thing called basically the Nigger rule, where in 1968, Lee Atwater was speaking in this collection that they called the Southern Strategy Tapes, where basically, like, the Republican Party was trying to take advantage of the racial tension for, you know, their voter base, like, basically trying to, you know, reshape their politics and get away from seemingly being so racist. I think both parties was working on it at the time. Okay. You know, this is where we start to see the Dixiecrats fade out, and it become more about, you know, real, like, real public relations as far as how they relate to the public from a political front. So, like, you know, their racism became like a dirty, dirty word. And it became this thing where they say, we just gonna speak like this in private, but we're not going to talk like this in public because the public isn't responding well to racism anymore. You know, this is also, like, right before. So this is post civil rights movement, but right before, like, the whole hippie movement and Everybody's against the war. And, you know, the country is shape shaping itself into being more progressive right on the surface, which forces Southern politicians to kind of change the way they was going about doing politics.
And.
And so I just thought the video was interesting because it showed that there's an intention behind being a covert racist. Like, there was an entire. Like, there was a strategy behind covert in your racism instead of being so overt. And this idea of politically correct where I can't be accused of being a racist because I would never say this word. You know what I mean? This is the thing that Paula Deen went through. He put mentioned that in the video. And the black guy that was on the prosecution, his name is escaping me, bro. I don't know why I wish. I don't want to play the video for, like, copyright.
Caller/Listener
Hold on.
Deontay Kyle
Okay, hold on. So, yeah, Christopher Darden. So he. He was on the prosecution, and his whole thing was like, y' all are making this about race. Which race definitely played into it. But he was like, this is about whether this man murdered this woman. And he refused to say nigger. He was saying the N word. So this. The term, the N word directly comes from him. And this is where we start seeing it pop up in media all the time. And this is where they use it, like, as a way of. I'm saying it without saying it. It's like an abbreviation for it as well. And I just thought this shit was extremely interesting because it just got me to thinking about how, like, how people like to, you know, hide their racism or how they try to be covert about these things. And then it got me to thinking about rage bait and marketing. Now, what we call rage bait essentially has went from someone seeking engagement because it is an engagement thing, and it is an attention currency thing, but it's a form of marketing, and it exploits black people's emotions. So there are a ton of. There's a ton of things that happen. There's a ton of things that white people say that are creators. There's a ton of things that companies do. I. E. The cloud, Bob. These are things that happen that I shouldn't know about. The reason why I do know about them is because they're manipulating your emotions to market their brands, to market themselves as creator, to market themselves as a company. And by exploiting your emotions, they effectively farm engagement. And, you know, we talk about this at the show, and, you know, I'll speak on it a little bit today, but you have to protect your energy, and you have to be slow to Anger and slow to respond emotionally on this Internet. The Internet is like more than anything else. And once you see what it is, it is a marketing tool, you know, Instagram, you know, more than it is a highlight reel. It's a marketing tool for your personal brand or your business. Meta. Meta is one of those things where people see meta ads as a way to like literally generate sales. Now, there is no, there is nobody that dictates how you advertise. So when I see people, you know, and this is, this is, this is, this is across all generations, when I see you stitching a video from somebody that says something racist, then you essentially have like created content out of promoting someone else. Because regardless of whether you are trying to call them out or not, you are promoting them. And you are making me aware of somebody that I would not have known otherwise. And this was a really bad thing on TikTok and especially with big creators, because big creators are using these things that were rage baiting towards the entire black community. And they were, they were being exploited, but they were exploiting their audience as well. Because if you have a million followers now, you platforming this person with this huge. You have this huge platform and you platform is somebody that just says something offensive. And my thing is this. It's like, where is the offense. Where is the offense in white people being racist? Where is it? I mean, I think at this point, guys, do you have a right to be offended? Yes. These are triggering things that they say. They say derogatory things about us. Yes. But the way that y' all frame it as if it's shocking. The way that y' all frame it as if it's fucking news. It's not news. And I think that the reason why it's news to you is because you want it to change. You're hopeful it changed, and you're being idealistic about the America that you live in, when if you would live in the reality, you would starve. All of these people, these people are literally trying to farm and harvest your emotions for engagement and eventually a monetary gain. So I should have never heard about the Cloud, Bob. And if you haven't heard about it, it is what it is. But like, the thing is, is like this was put out by a major publication, and this is the same thing they did with Boxer Braids. This is the same thing they did with whatever the fuck they do shit with where they try to remix and appropriate black culture. But at the end of the day, it's not really even appropriation. It's an exploitation of your emotion. They know how near and dear we hold the things that we create and the things that we prop up culturally. We hold those things near and dear. And when we feel like those people are trying to steal or appropriate our shit, we get very loud about it. But in turn, we put a lot of attention on them. And it's an emotional investment for us too. And once it becomes an emotional investment, ah, man. I mean, you just took it from something that would have did five times to something to do 50 times. Because now you making other black people emotionally invested in it. And I think the. The thing about it is, is that we really do have to be intentional, more intentional about how we interact with this Internet. Like. Like if somebody is saying something so glaringly racist, or somebody is being like, obviously dense, somebody is obviously trying to stoke some type of emotional fire within you. Like, you really have to get to a point where you ignore it. Because here's the thing. In three scrolls, you won't think about it no more. It's emotion in that moment. And that's what it's meant to do. It's meant to get your engagement. It's meant to create a reaction out of you. And if you start understanding that exploiting your emotion is a marketing tool, then you will be less likely to be marketed to. This is not the form of content that black people need to peddle. Think about this. If you saw this video and it pissed you off and your following is black, you basically have said, I'm finna piss my following off and the comments don't matter. Like, the comments are gonna be regurgitating of the same thing because we already know that white people are racist. There is no two ways about it. So it's like we just gonna be what? We just gonna get in the comments and say things that we already agree with and already know. It's not affecting any change. It's not gonna change anything. Now for. For the people that record videos of people calling them the N word or doing something and you know, they do this while they're at work, or they do this while they're in their business truck and they lose their job, that's a great use of your emotions because that's a retribution. That's an equal and opposite reaction. But if the only thing you getting out of it is views, then if there's nothing concrete, if this doesn't transfer off of the Internet over into a realistic punishment or some type of consequence that happens in reality, then you are doing this shit damn near as an advertiser. You become a salesman for the shit they're marketing. We have to really think about the emotional input and the emotional labor that we put in to people that are just like literally trying to piss you off. And people that have sat in think tanks and boardrooms and discovered this as a tool of marketing, literally the KFC ad, when they turned chicken into a black power fist, that was exploitive marketing. It was meant to unleash an emotion out of black people. Almost as if you're not above your emotions. Because the thing is, is that what do they say about marketing? The first thing that they're gonna tell you marketing is storytelling. They're telling a story. And most stories, and most anytime you tell a story, it's a beginning, middle and end. There's a climax, there's an antagonist and a protagonist. This is a meant to elicit emotion. Unfortunately, them being disrespectful towards you and exploiting your emotions is beneficial to them. And since they've discovered that it's been beneficial, they'll do it time and time again. Let's take for example, Zara. Now, Zara had a situation that happened with this black lady who was going shopping and she had her own jacket with her. She brought her jacket in and I don't think she bought anything, or I think she did buy something. And then she left, whatever the case may be. And four employees chased her through the mall thinking that she stole the jacket that she owned. It was her, she brought it with her. Now, first of all, Zara is an Israeli backed company. So let's start there. This is the Eastern European that work there for the most part. Let's start there. You know what I mean? Let's start with the fact that these are white people, okay? So them accusing us of theft when they are the biggest thieves that ever walked the earth is par for course. But what does the story become about it? Does it become about racial profiling? Or is racial profiling the story that's gonna be used to promote Zara? Because what y' all gonna do is say time and time again, stop shopping at Zara. Stop shopping at Zara. But what you're mentioning time and time again is Zara. Now, I would say now this is an example of me doing what I'm telling y' all not to do. But this is an example of how fast it spreads. Because I don't wanna see a black woman chased down. I don't want to see a black woman accused of something and basically assaulted for doing nothing wrong by four white Employees and what resembles a lynch mob. This is how they elicit the emotion. Right? Now, I'm not saying this was staged at all, but I am saying that they will use examples like this and they will use situations like this to spin it into their benefit. I've been in that store. I went in that store. My old lady one time. I was like, this store sucks. It's like, what. This is like H M. This is basically like, like an upper. Like what? This is H M premium. This is. I'm just closing there. Suck. Let white people have they. Okay. I feel like those four women should be arrested and charged with assault. I feel like false accusations should come with consequence. And if they just lose their job, that is enough. You know what I mean? But I feel like if you assaulted somebody, you supposed to go to jail. That's normally how that works. So this is just more examples of, like, think about every. Every. Every. Every. Every time that a company did something or said something that offended you, and think about the numerous amount of videos that were made in connection to that. And then understand that all of that was marketing. And just because it's like, you know, harsh. It's not like nobody said they had to be ethical about marketing, though. You know, gone are the days of the billboard. You know, it used to be you just pay for a billboard and, you know, you expect X amount of people to drive by this billboard every day. So you've marketed it to X amount of people. Well, now we have to get away from the billboard and the passerbyer of marketing. And, you know, Chick Fil A did a really good job of this. Chick Fil A was really good at the billboard marketing, eat more chicken with the cows and things like that, somebody figured that out. But then now it gets to a point where you have to get into the emotions of people in emotional marketing. And unfortunately, even if the product isn't for black people, by exploiting black people's emotion, you will get the word of mouth that you'll get a word of mouth around this product that you couldn't even pay for. You couldn't pay for. You couldn't. There is no better currency to these companies than black promotions. So you have to think about this seriously as the person that's being targeted is if I. If I. If I'm seeing something in connection to a company and connection to a brand in connection to a white creator or an Asian creator or anybody that from outside the black community and even within the black community, if I'm seeing something that is harmful and purposely targeting the black community. I have to assume that is an advertisement. And I also have to understand that my engagement with it spreads the message. So what, what do you want to do with the fire? Because your decision is a decision whether you pour water on it or pour gasoline on it. Well, every time you stitch a video like this, you pour gasoline on it. Every time you ignore them, you pour water on them. And the only way to put out a fire in this metaphorical sense is to throw water on your attention is the gasoline that they're looking for to spread this shit like a quote, unquote wildfire. So be mindful of where you putting your energy at online. Be mindful of the fact that regardless of whether you're thinking about it or not, somebody else is and they will exploit your emotion for their own benefit. And at the end of the day, your emotions is making somebody else rich. Go watch the. Go, go watch the the video by Garrison Hayes. Man, Garrison Hayes is an amazing creator. This one is a fairly old one, but it's, it's called How O.J. simpson Created the N Word. Now there was. Golly, man, this shit is crazy. Hold on. Okay, so there was eight children killed in Louisiana, quote, unquote, mass shooting. Now here's my issue with this. This was family annihilation and this was domestic violence. This is not a mass shooting at random like a terrorist attack. And they're framing this as if this was some. Like, this is a mass shooting like what happens at church with a dylann roof or what happens on campus with any other fucking white shooter or what happens at schools with white shooters. They're framing this as a mass shooting. Now, if you want to be technical about the term, you can't apply it to that because I believe mass shooting is anywhere where some four or more are gunned down. But this is domestic violence and family annihilation. These are women and children. Harm.
Caller/Listener
So
Deontay Kyle
it says a gunman in Louisiana killed eight children and shot two other people. Sunday, an early morning attack of domestic violence carried out across two houses. This a mass shooting that shook a Shreveport neighborhood. Authority said the mass shooting was the deadliest in us in the US in more than two years. That's why they're calling it a mass shoot. That's what this is about. Again, it's the marketing. It's the, it's to change the identity of the mass shooter. The mass shooter in America has been widely accepted as the white man. This, this man targets his own family. Now, now, now, white niggas also will annihilate their family is never seen as a mass shooting. I've never heard a white man kill his family and I've never heard a white man target his own family and it be labeled a mass shooting. I'm just going to say this, but because they can get away with the technicality, they're trying to change the face. This is why they started making it four more. Because now if we have situation where it's gang violence or it's some street level shit and four more people get shot, they can label it a mass shooter and trying to rebrand the mass shooter and make it the black man, but we not gonna stand for it, brother. Now this is a very sad situation and this is a fucked up situation and this is a situation that needs to be addressed in our communities about the violence around our families and the violence that women and children are often left subject to. This is a very crazy situation. So this is what we know so far. And I'm getting this from AP News. This is like my news. That's my news source. That's all you know. The victims. Shreveport policeman spokesperson Chris Bordelin said the suspect shot the mother first and then killed eight children, seven of whom were his own. The victims range from age 1 to about 12 years old and the mother and another woman are in critical condition. They identify the suspect Sunday evening as Shamar Elkins. He died after a chase with author officers who fired at the suspect. Elkins stole a car while leaving the scene of the shootings and was followed by police, according to Borderland officials said they were in. They're still gathering details and the crime scenes of downtown Shreveport, the two homes and a third location. So man, bruh, This is up. A man killed seven of his children and I, I'm, I will assume that the mothers of these children. Yeah. Was the two women. And I mean at this point he's dead. Is he dead?
Big Ice Cupcat
He's dead.
Deontay Kyle
So he's dead. And there isn't gonna. There is no clear indication on what set this off. But we can't. We have to address like this, this may not be the biggest issue in the black community. Right. But this is an issue when we get to the point where we're like, our men are killing our women and children, bro. I mean, godamn, bro. There's literally no excuse. And also too, He, he went through trial by fire. That was his goal. He wanted to settle that in the street because he already in Louisiana. He killed seven, eight children. He killed eight children. He knows as soon as he go to prison, they can kill him.
Big Ice Cupcat
It's over with.
Deontay Kyle
So he basically left it up to the police to do. But these two women and these eight children lost their lives, I believe. Are the women in critical condition?
Big Ice Cupcat
One was in critical condition. He shot the mother first.
Deontay Kyle
So one woman died. One woman dead. Eight children dead. One woman in critical condition, all because of what? Like, because this nigga snapped or whatever the case may be. We don't know the motive behind this, but we know that this is this man's family that he did this to. This is not okay. And this needs to be addressed with the same kind of, like, fervor that we address, like, the white man who killed his black wife. You know, I think the thing is about men. And we'll get to the rape academy.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
You know, like, listen, bruh, we have to accept that the same way we view white people as a danger to black people in society is the same way that women view men as a danger to them in society. And it's like things like this just further. You know, there's podcasts. There's a podcast, Sisters who Kill. Right. There's a show snapped, you know what I mean? That showcased the times where women snap and kill men or kill somebody else. But, like, the thing is, is that you have to create a show around this because of how unlikely it is.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
You couldn't create a show around men killing women because God damn.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
I mean, they would never run out of episodes. Yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
I read an article the other day. In 2026, Black women are being murdered in their homes, work, on holiday and on the road, by partners, by boyfriends, by husbands and by strangers.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah. The femicide. Black femicide. That is. That is disgusting. My. And, you know, I remember how angry you guys got when women said they would choose the bear. But with the. But here's the thing about that conversation that a lot of people don't bring up is that they didn't say that they. They thought the bear was safe, but the bear's intentions are clear. It's going to kill you. Yeah. The man will make you fall in love and then kill you. The man will have children with you and then kill you. And then you gotta think about the fact that this. This act of violence alone and every act of violence against a woman and every act of violence in general doesn't stop at the victim. So we talking about eight children who have friend groups, who have aunties, who have cousins, who have grandfathers and grandmothers and all type of community People that know them that are now affected by this, and then the sheer number of children. It was eight. And one of them, not even his child. So I don't know where that child's father is. But now that father got to live with the fact that his child is dead at the hands of another man. And not only did the. Were the children's lives lost, but the mother's lives are lost. Even the mother that's in critical condition, that's still just unnecessary. We don't know what that means. That means this is 50. You know, she teetering. Well, men have to accept the role that they play in violence against women and children. And we have to also accept the fact that we are the. We do pose the biggest danger to women.
Big Ice Cupcat
That's a fact.
Deontay Kyle
Just is what it is.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
They're getting killed by their partners. How many times have you, like, bruh, the most dangerous person to a woman is the person probably the man she's in love with. This is a disgusting act. I'm glad this nigga's dead, but I wish he could come back to life and we could kill him again. And how about we kill this nigga 10 times for the 10 lives that he just affected?
Big Ice Cupcat
Facts.
Deontay Kyle
The nine lives that he took.
Big Ice Cupcat
Facts.
Deontay Kyle
And the woman that's in critical condition. And prayers up for that lady that's in critical condition. You know, men, men, men. This ain't even PR for men, bro. This is just our fucking behavior. This is just our behavior. We. You know, I think. I think we really do need to, like, really go inside and, like, you know, men are often. Especially in the black community, men are always leading the charge about, you know, what we gonna do for the black community. And, you know, men have all these fucking ideologies. And y' all call me a panderer when I say we listen to women, but we don't have an issue with our women killing us. That's not a thing. These are stories that are told as exceptions to the rule. The only reason you can make a podcast that's interesting that talks about this or a show that's interesting to talk about it, because the unlikelihood of it happening. And we're.
Big Ice Cupcat
We're.
Deontay Kyle
And the exceptions. Oh, man. I mean, anytime there's an exception to the rule, that's always something that's gonna catch attention. That's a story to tell. What made this woman finally snap? What made these women kill their husbands, they partners, when, you know, they made a whole movie about it? The lady, the white woman that was A hitchhiker and niggas was constantly trying to rape her and prostitute her out and woo, woo, woo. But she decided to say, okay, I'm just start killing these niggas. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But this is after being raped and tortured and brutalized time and time again by men. And this is not only men that she knew, but random men and women have to walk around with this all day, every day. Like, you know, the thing is, like, one of the biggest things that I think about and when I hear about people that live expat lives, especially in Japan, is that they was like, I could leave the house at any time of the night. I could walk to the store at three in the morning. And I don't have to think about being raped. I don't have to think about somebody mugging me. I don't gotta think about any violence being enacted on me. And you gotta understand that that is like, that should not even be an appeal. That should be a standard. But for whatever reason, I mean, America is that. That is America, man. That's American. That's American as apple fucking pie is violence against women and children, bro, as much as it is against black people. When we want to talk about that, let's talk about within the black community, violence against women and children, bro. It's normalized. It's not even seen as nothing, you know, like, even pimp culture is normalized.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah,
Deontay Kyle
this is. This is not. This can no longer be acceptable, bro. Like, keep your hands to yourself. I don't care what that girl did then, she didn't deserve to die. Them children. There ain't nothing them children could have did that warrant they death. Nothing. It's a man that took, like, took everybody's lives into his own hand. And this is what men do all the time when they feel out of control. Now when we see this white man, we understand that family annihilation is a standard. But this, we ain't trying to catch up to that. We ain't trying to make that no norm. Black femicide is a real thing that needs to be talked about. And when these women are discussing this shit, we have to take that shit serious, bro. We can't take that shit with no grain of salt. This ain't something that they just making up. Nigga, I guarantee you, if you could trade places, you wouldn't ask any black man in our neighborhood right now. If you was in a busy. If you was in a busy area, let's just say it's 3am and you drunk and you finna walk to the store by yourself? Would you rather do that as a man or as a woman? Cause as a man encountering men, all you gotta do is just mind your fucking business. Even if they own bullshit, the worst you gonna do is get called a pussy. You can live with that. They might try to kill a woman or a rape her. We done seen situations time and time again where just them rejecting a man have resulted in their death. This is an issue, bro. This is an issue. This is American issue specifically. So I don't want to hear black or white. This is an American issue. Women, women have to deal with so much violence and the threat of so much violence every day in this country. But I want to make it about our community. This is a constant thing in our community that women have to live under the threat of violence from the time that they're born, nigga. The threat of rape, the threat of molestation from the time they're born. This is something to gloss over. And, and I say this because, you know, CNN investigation investigation published in April 2026 exposed an online community where men share, view and discuss non consensual content of women who appear to be drugged or unconscious.
Big Ice Cupcat
My God.
Deontay Kyle
And they call it the Rape Academy.
Big Ice Cupcat
Jesus.
Deontay Kyle
Now there is misinformation. About 62 million men, right? The figure refers to the number of visits to the website known as motherless.com in February 2026. Not 62 million unique individuals engaged in abuse, but 62 million people visited the site and engaged in the site just in February. And the content is about rape. It shows the values, Brad. The thing is this is where you live. These are the values of men in this country. They're discussing, sharing and viewing ways to, you know, this thing that came out is about to have to discuss how to drug and rape women.
Big Ice Cupcat
Good Lord.
Deontay Kyle
Motherless.com is described as a large morals free file hosting site for various adult content. And the 62 million figure includes traffic to the entire site, not just the sleep content in question. So the sleep content is how to rape a woman in her sleep and get away with it. How to do it undetected. The Rape Academy the investigation focused on a specific corner of the website and related telegram groups where users shared, traded and discussed methods for drugging and sexually assaulting women, sometimes livestreaming the acts.
Big Ice Cupcat
Are you serious?
Deontay Kyle
I'm dead ass. Scale of active participants While the site traffic is high, reports suggest that the actively harmful ZZZ telegram group which has highlighted as a central rape Academy hub has around 1,000 members during the investigation. Sleep content. The site hosted over 20,000 user uploaded videos under the category of sleep content where men frequently use tags to identify and discuss non consensual abuse of unconscious women. The investigation prompted widespread alarm and calls for accountability with many noting that even a small percentage of the total traffic represents a significant number of people involved in the abuse. And so, okay, 62 million men is not necessarily the number of the number of people, but there is 62 million hits and views and engagements in the thing. Now here's the thing. If this was. If this was a website where people were showing other people how to cook crack or cook meth, they had that shit shut down immediately and everybody doxed. But you could get more time for possession of cocaine than you can for rape. The. The man that burned down the. The man that burned down the warehouse is facing a life sentence that he's going to be in there with rapist child molesters who got less than five years. The Brock dude. Brock raped the girl unconscious behind the thing, the dumpster. Yeah, yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
He ain't get no time.
Deontay Kyle
No time.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
And then. And then committed another act. The culture was rape culture of America. This is the. This is a cultural thing. Rape culture stems out of chattel slavery. Stems out of European. The European mind and spreads like a motherfucking virus amongst men that think that this is. Okay, Listen, there's like child molester, rapist, all you should die. This is period point blank. Even if I didn't have a daughter or a sister, I mean, what are you doing? Like what we on, bro? This is like talk about progress in the world and progress in our country. And it's like weak ass like this out here, Polly. And in groups and then they make content and they share this. And you is looking at this like you are trading information on how to. You are sick, bro. I deaf to all these and shall be castrated. Yeah, deaf to all these, bro. Castrate and not castrate and guillotine. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The public castration. Then the public guilty followed by the guilty. Yeah. This is sick FBI. It's like this is the type of. We need the FBI to flag. Y' all worried about somebody criticizing the government. The government. What about the citizens? All these men should be docs, bro. This is why I'm at with it. Like there is no excuse for this. There is no justification for this. This is these. This is a. This is a terrorist group. That's terrorism. They should be investigated as such. Everybody listen. This is. These are people that are gathering around crime. This is a crime, nigga. It's investigated as such. And it was plotting the bomb some. I mean, because the psychological effect is akin to death at times. A lot of people never recover from this. And you talking about, you know, they talking about this thing, and, you know, I get it, like, a lot of people saying 62 million men. And people wanted to make the justification it's not 62 million men. And it's like, yeah, who cares? Who gives a. Yeah, you know, this is not where I'm trying to make the distinction at 62 million is a crazy number for people to be engaged with a site like that. I mean, God damn, bro. Like, it just shows the value. Shows where we are as a society, and we. Shows where we are as men. We're. We're in a up place as men. Instead of being educated, instead of being a little bit more empathetic, instead of being more socially aware and socially conscious, instead of actually just listening to women, y' all are trying to figure out new ways to rape them. Y' all are trading secrets on how to drug them. Deaf to all these, bro. De. To all these, bro. Public executions for all these. And dox these, man. Some of yo. Y. All you is hackers. And hack into that website and figure out all these and.
Ski
And.
Deontay Kyle
And. And. And what percentage of these niggas are cops and politicians. Because you remember the Chris Hansen show?
Big Ice Cupcat
Yes.
Deontay Kyle
To Catch a Predator?
Big Ice Cupcat
They had to cancel.
Deontay Kyle
They had to cancel it because of the police and politicians. Yeah, the amount of police officers and politicians. This is sick, bro. This is something that you can't. You can't. You never have a function in society. You never have a. You never have a positive. Fuck out of the structural problems. Fuck all the policy problems, Fuck the politics of it all. We would never have a great society. If this is the type of behavior that persists. You might as well just go in and cancel it. Because it's still, like you said, even if it's not 62 million, it's a significant portion of our population. Significant. If it's 6 million, it's too many. This is disgusting, bro. I want to circle back to something. I want to circle back to when I said that you will get more time for not harming anybody but harming a corporation's bottom line. So the man that burned down all the paper products in that warehouse is facing life sentence. And we know that rapists and child molesters get less than five years in most cases. And even though some places are rolling out, Are rolling out like castration or, you know, they're rolling out harsher consequences for pedophilia. Harsh consequences for child rape and child molestation. Yes. They will never get any time that's comparable to the time you will get if you ruin a corporation's bottom line. And people will say things like, well, you know, he could have just found a better job. I don't want to hear niggas that say shit like that ever mention the Boston Tea Party again. Do you know that? Do you know where we would be without labor strikes in this country? You know, you would still be working, like in company towns. You would never own anything. You'll be owned by a corporation. You know, your children will be working. Your children will be working. 14, 15 years old. They'll have, they'll have them a job. Let's, let's, let's go through something real quick. We back. Let's go over a history of labor strikes in the US and how we can learn from these things. Labor strikes have been a pivotal, have been pivotal in shaping US labor rights. Evolving from isolated colonial actions to massive industrial walkouts. Key events include the 1892 Homestead Strike, the 1894 Pullman Strike, and the widespread 1945 through 1946 post war strike wave involving over 5 million workers. These actions directly enforced improvements in wages, reduce work hours, and shape collective bargaining rights. Now all you niggas saying get a better job. How about you tell these corporations to provide a better job? The bootlicking in this country is a little out of control at times. The way you like to kiss a corporation's ass because you're doing better when you act like you don't remember doing work and just you just doing better right now. And a part of American exceptionalism is accepting struggle as a virtuous thing. Like, struggle is just a part of it. Like, no, bruh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. If for the child of a billionaire, struggle isn't a reality outside of some personal str, but a basic need struggle, a basic way of living struggle is not necessarily anything that ever enters their consciousness. If it's okay for them, then it should be okay for everybody. Because not only there are enough resources for every human on earth, there's enough money to the point where money is just a construct to keep you oppressed. So it's not get a better job. It's provide a living wage. Only a living wage can prevent a warehouse fire. So key historical and labor strikes, the Lowell mills girl strike, 1834 and 1836 early strikes by New England textile workers protesting pay cuts and advocating for better conditions. Great railroad strike of 1877amassive, often violent nationwide strike by railway workers that required federal troops to end it. The Hay Market Affair 1886 a national strike for an eight hour workday that turned violent at Chicago's Haymarket Square influencing global labor history. So young 9 to 5 required violence. Just your ability to go to work for a out just ain't required violence. The Homestead Strike 1892 a violent lockout. And, and, and and I would like to, and I would like to and I would like to note the correlation between labor strikes and the abolishment of slavery. Seems like soon as stop doing all the work for free. Now y' all want to improve the conditions of the workplace but we not, we, we not going to digress too much. Just a correlation I was noticing just something. Just something I noticed. The Homestead strike. A violent lockout at the Carnegie Steel Company in Pennsylvania marking a significant setback for organized labor. Pullman strike led by Eugene V. Debs. This strike halted rail traffic across 27 states and demonstrated a federal government's willingness to break strikes. And what they're not going to mention is the Pullman Porter strike which increased the quality and work life and conditions and wages for black workers. The porters on them in the, in the Pullman rail yards and shit like that. So even, even Google is going to leave out our contributions to these things. But it is what it is that the anthracite coal strike 1902 minors in Pennsylvania struck for higher wages and union recognition resulted in federal mediation by President Theodore Roosevelt. Lawrence Textile Strike 1912 Immigrant workers in Massachusetts achieved major victories for workers rights after fighting for better pay and conditions. Steel strike 1919 massive actions by 350,000 workers that temporarily shut down half of the US steel industry. And then again 1946 part of the post World War II strike wave. It was one of the largest in US history include involving up to 800,000 workers. So the labor strikes quite literally are the marker of the US you could follow it through each Industrial revolution, techno technological revolution. Every time we had a revolution in industry, whether it be coal or steel or you know, the abolishment of slavery or whatever the case may be. Labor strikes have been extremely important to creating, you know, just some livable conditions, just some livable wages, just an improvement in quality of life of the people who literally prop up these corporations. And corporate greed is nothing new. Corporate greed is literally, you know, American as fucking apple pie. They always Trying to get the most and pay out the little they want the most. They want your labor, and they don't want to pay. And they don't want to pay you much for it because they started with not having to pay for it at all. So you're always gonna have to strike in a country whose blueprint is based off free labor and chattel slavery. And it's up to you to not lick the boots of corporations when you see people fighting back. I would say more warehouses, more Molotovs, more lead. They're even doing a great thing now. The spray foam, spray foam that they use, they're going to these big corporations and spraying spray foam and flushing it down the toilet. You know, once that gets in the pipe and expand, they can almost die. You can't believe it. My bad.
Big Ice Cupcat
My bad, dog.
Deontay Kyle
Once that gets into the pipes and expands, oh, that's solid as a rock. The thing is, I ain't telling where them pipes is going to get stopped. Ain't nothing you could do about it. This is shutting businesses down. Also a funny little tidbit about that is that if you don't have working restrooms, you cannot operate your business. Cannot. Just some food for thought. So not only do it in the men's bathroom, do it in the women's bathroom as well, and do it in all of them. And they've been leaving notes say, you should have just paid a living wage. I think that this is a beautiful thing. I think this is beautiful. This is beautiful. Oh, man, you starting to see the millionaires and billionaires come out. I want to pay more in taxes. I bet they do. You get their attention. So don't stop. Why would you stop now? We're just getting started. We're just getting started. Tim Dillon, friend of the show. Tim Dillon is conflicted. He heard. He talked about the Sam Altman thing and them throwing a Molotov cocktail, and he was like, well, they shouldn't do that. Yeah, they should, Tim.
Big Ice Cupcat
They should.
Deontay Kyle
They should. I know these are your buddies and I know that you worry that, you know, that you. One day you'll be rubbing shoulders with them. And from a financial standpoint, you also will be trying to underpay workers and, you know, destroy the economy. But this is great. This is great. This is great. I don't wanna. I don't. I don't give a what you talking about. I still with you, but I don't give a what you talking about. The thing is, is that, you know, we. The religious aspect of these things is what keeps people inactive? And you waiting on God, and God is waiting on you.
Big Ice Cupcat
The true and living.
Deontay Kyle
I gave you eyes, I gave you ears. I gave you. I gave you the opposable thumbs, baby. I gave you the mind to think and look at what y' all doing with your minds. Because people don't. You can't appeal to the emotion of emotionless people. You can't appeal to the. To the hearts of a psychopath. The thing that they care about is power and greed. And they get that power and greed via their bottom line of their corporation. So you go fuck with that bottom
Big Ice Cupcat
line
Deontay Kyle
and maybe niggas got to call inaudible and do some halftime adjustments. And I, and I, and I and I, and I. And I doubt that it will elicit any emotional empathetic response to the people, but it will start a negotiation. And hey, here's the thing. You can't stop me from buying spray foam and you can't stop niggas from selling lighters. You can get on any website right now and learn how to do a Molotov cocktail. And so be it if niggas are teaching each other how to rape. You waiting on God. And God is waiting on. We'll be right back after these commercial breaks. We back and. All right, all right, all right, all right.
Big Ice Cupcat
We back, baby. Refreshed, replenished.
Deontay Kyle
Take a little quick little. You know what I'm saying?
Big Ice Cupcat
Quick lunch.
Deontay Kyle

Big Ice Cupcat
You can't. Who else can stand on stage 10 minutes, not say nothing and fall out
Deontay Kyle
and anybody you comparing that to that? You tell me if it's gonna be a biopic about them.
Big Ice Cupcat

Deontay Kyle
Who do they compare to? Michael Jackson? Chris Brown, man, what's that biopic Gonna be about. All right.
Caller/Listener
Oh, yo, it's Jack Swift. Third Eye Jack on Instagram. What's up, Deontay? What's poppin? Big Ice Cup. God damn it. Anyway, so I've been jumping around on manganese bodies all day, so I. I'm not gonna lie. Sometimes I fast forward through the announcements and do the intro, but I see the vinyl, right? You see that the vinyl got some nice artwork on the front of it. And I was thinking maybe for now on, when y'.

Caller/Listener
If y' all put out any more vinyls, you know what I mean? Y' all can give different artists a chance to collaborate with you. And I would like to be first on that list. Me and my wife. We a black couple. We're a black family. Come on, that's a story. We a black family. Crowd. Stranger in studios. Don't feed the flowers Art collective. That's the crowd. P R O U D Strangely S T R A N G E L I N G I'm dyslexic. I might have spelled that wrong. Hopefully not Studios. You know how to spell studios? Anyway, we got a whole. The art collective and the art that surrounds the art collective. There's an entire narrative behind it. We're actually working on a few new characters, and we love certain folks so much that they might be getting a character of their own. So maybe, you know, the next time you do a vinyl, you can keep, you know, niggas and niggas in mind. You know what I mean? God damn it. All right. I love you niggas. I was the one that called about Brer Rabbit last week, too. Or whenever that actually was. Yeah, but anyway, love you. Bye.
Deontay Kyle
All right. I love you, too, bro. My man, I just followed you on Instagram. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so we can figure that out, but pushing hard for the artwork ain't it. Yeah, yeah, that's what you're supposed to.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah. Matter of fact, send some artwork for the studio.
Deontay Kyle
Why you do that? You did that yet you ain't even thought.

Deontay Kyle
All right. Hey, man, call us back.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Be more clear next time. Get your thoughts together, man. Yeah, just leaving a voicemail. Yeah, easy peasy.
Caller/Listener
Hey, Deontay. And Big ice cupcat, this is Princess. That's. I'm just gonna use that as my alias. Calling from Orange County, California, I had a question about something I've been experiencing now that I'm back in the dating scene for about a year now. I'm in my 30s, and I've been encountering a lot of men in my same age group. And when I ask them about their intentions with dating or where they see things going in general, not just with me, but mindset in general, a lot of them are saying, oh, you know, I don't think I can really look for a relationship, or I'm not trying to be in one because I feel like I have to make this certain amount of money, or, oh, I'm trying to transition my career. And I was dating a guy that had this mindset, and he kept telling me that that was the reason why we couldn't get together for intentional dates, because he had a lot on his plate. And mind you, I do too. But I'm willing to make time if I like somebody. And when I told him how I felt about it and, like, you know, the amount of times we're seeing each other is not enough. He kept telling me, you know, this is just my situation, what I'm trying to put in my career. You just got to get be patient with me. And in my opinion, if I'm just dating someone and we're not in a committed relationship, I don't think I should have to be patient. But I'm encountering this mindset in a lot of men in my age group, and I'm wondering if maybe I'm being too harsh, and I just wanted to get both of your perspectives on it. Deontay, I know you're married, so I don't know, you know, what was your mindset before you met your wife? Big ice cup, I don't know your situation, but Maybe y' all could speak to what I'm experiencing and just give some advice on that. I appreciate it and thank you. I really love your show. I watch every week. Bye.
Deontay Kyle
Bye. Thank you. We back.
Big Ice Cupcat
Big ice cub.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, man. What you think, man?
Big Ice Cupcat
Hey, man, I think. I don't think they're really interested for.
Deontay Kyle
That's somebody just trying to. With us.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Gotta start being. Just be real, man. Like, man, look, man, I'm just. Just trying to fuss on.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, that's it.
Deontay Kyle
And let the chips fall where they may. You look like women are sexual beings as well.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
They be like, all right, I'm never going to talk to you again. But you got to be able to live with that too.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah. Put that thing on.
Deontay Kyle
You never come back. Never come back. Now you. Now you wish you had emotional availability and some time. I don't know, man. I just, you know, somebody interested in you, the amount of money you make. They know how much money you make.
Big Ice Cupcat
It doesn't matter.
Deontay Kyle
They know what's going on. Yeah. You know, we trying to grow together.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah. They see you in that Honda Civic. They see you.
Deontay Kyle
I mean. And the thing is, is that if the. If. If your value monetarily is insecurity for you, then you just don't need to date or. Yeah.
Caller/Listener
Just.
Deontay Kyle
Why you still. Huh?
Caller/Listener
Huh?
Deontay Kyle
Put the dick down.
Big Ice Cupcat
Pick the.
Deontay Kyle
Put the dick down and what?
Big Ice Cupcat

Deontay Kyle
Put the dick down and pick a briefcase up. Get on your grind since you so money oriented. Oh, my God. You want to get so much money, you want to wear so many necklace. Go pick up a briefcase and get on your business.
Big Ice Cupcat

Deontay Kyle
I mean, into it. That doesn't mean just be a bum.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, don't be a bum. I'm just saying if she see you
Deontay Kyle
got somebody want to grow with you, you, you know, grow with them. I think you. You like to use money as a tool or not to not commit. And if you want to sleep around, man, just say that, bro. You know what I'm saying? Just be honest. Let people know what you got going on before.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
You know, tell people you emotionally unavailable so they can make their own decisions. But also, don't try to. Don't confuse people. You know what I'm saying? Don't say you ain't ready for a relationship or you don't want to be in a relationship and then just. Yeah, you're doing our relationship things. I. You know, I'm. I'm guilty of that.
Big Ice Cupcat
No, I'm guilty of that myself.
Deontay Kyle
So I'm guilty. You know what I'm saying? But I'm telling you, this just. It's not. It ain't right. No, you're pulling people in a different direction. Yeah, man, just keep it real. Stop using money as an excuse. Also, man, you know, and when are you gonna get it together? Yeah, when is it?
Caller/Listener
Huh?
Deontay Kyle
Can you give me a timeline? Give me a goddamn five year plan of eta. Yeah. Oh, where you going to arrive at this number that you want to arrive to before you can commit to somebody for the rest of your life? Whatever.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
And remember, put the dick down and get the brief. Look, man, put that dick down, man.
Big Ice Cupcat
Get the dick out your ass. Take that dick out, dick out your ass.
Deontay Kyle
Tuck that. You don't even need it right now.
Big Ice Cupcat
We on a mission to the money.
Deontay Kyle
Sit down when you pee. Sit down.
Big Ice Cupcat
Will you pee until you get to that number?
Deontay Kyle
Sit down.
Big Ice Cupcat
Sit down when you pee.
Deontay Kyle
Papa squat until you get the money. Should be allowed to stand up and pee. If you ain't get no money, man,
Big Ice Cupcat
you gotta sit down and pee.
Deontay Kyle
Tuck that dick.
Big Ice Cupcat
Oh, let's go to the next one.
Deontay Kyle
You're fucking childish. Let's go to the next one. You childish, man. Oh, my God. Jesus Christ.
Big Ice Cupcat
You know, lady called ask for dating advice.
Deontay Kyle
All right, man, you might be looking in all the wrong places, baby. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Get off these apps, man. Let's get outside. Let's go find a. That's meditating in the park. Yeah, we talking about that. Don't care about money at all. No.
Big Ice Cupcat
Finding in the. In the cereal aisle, in the grocery store.
Deontay Kyle
My wear natural deodorant.
Big Ice Cupcat
No, no, no.
Deontay Kyle
He ain't gonna tell you. Money gonna stop him from committing. Don't find that. No. And they gonna take money a construct. Yeah, I got energetic.
Big Ice Cupcat
Money stinks now.
Deontay Kyle

Caller/Listener
Peace. Guys, this is your Los Angeles aunt. It's Michelle. What's happening, y'? All? Episode 138 Burn them.
Let them burn.
Anyway,
Deontay Kyle
I can't understand. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Shout out to you, auntie in Los Angeles, though. That's what I did. See, I can see the transcription. Okay, we're just gonna, let's just go ahead and move on to the. I'm having good luck with the calls today. Let's go to move to ET emails. All right, what's this first one? Moving on. Hey. Hey. Big fan. Currently struggling with some life events. Could use a bit of perspective. My wife passed away October 24th of 2025. Oh, condolences to you, my brother. I loved her very much and she was, in a lot of ways the reason I am the man I am today. I've been a limbo ever since her passing until recently. I got introduced by my co worker to a woman and she fits so well in semi way ass. My question is this. How do I manage the feelings from my late wife, but also continue to celebrate this new adventure? Any advice or input is welcome. I mean, you got to live your life. But, oh, my bad.
Big Ice Cupcat
Big ass got me to. I'm sorry.
Deontay Kyle
No, this is a serious situation.
Big Ice Cupcat
That was me. That was me. That was me.
Deontay Kyle
I'm sorry.
Big Ice Cupcat
That was me. That was me. I, I, I messed up.
Deontay Kyle
I'm sorry. That was me.
Big Ice Cupcat
I apologize. Let's go to the email.
Deontay Kyle
Get to email. I'm sorry.
Big Ice Cupcat
That was me. That was me, son. That joke had been brewing.
Deontay Kyle
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Big Ice Cupcat
All right, let's get to, let's go back. All right, let's get serious.
Deontay Kyle
First of all, yeah, again, condolences to you, brother. But, you know, I don't, I don't know. I, I've never navigated this before. Yeah, your wife passed away, I mean, little, little under a year ago. Under a year. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
Have you healed from that? Have you?
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, I think you need to, you know, I, I don't think you want to replace those emotions with like a new adventure or a new woman or. Yeah, I think it's not fair to you or her, so. And, and I can't imagine that you've grieved, fully grooved your wife in six to eight months. Yeah, I, I think, I think you need to be honest with this woman about what you've been through. I think you need to also be honest that you're not over your late wife. No, can't be. You know, And I think also, you know, like, let her make those decisions from there because, you know, I just can't. You know, I, I, I don't, I don't, I don't really know if this is in a place where I can give you advice and just. I haven't experienced it.
Caller/Listener
Yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
You know what I mean? This is a very complex situation that it has to deal with grief and it has to deal with the loss of love and trying to rekindle love. You know, this is a very complex situation. These are the, these, these, these times are specific for, you know, a professional.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
This professional situation.
Big Ice Cupcat
And another thing, I hope you're not trying to use this young lady to fill any voids.
Deontay Kyle
That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like. Yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
Cause that's, that's tough.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, man. You know, and it's like, you know, you know, the, the, the going from somebody that helped you grow and helped you become who you are to them not being there anymore can be tough. And it can make you feel like you need to fill a void. Yeah. And, you know, you don't want to feel that void with any other people, man. You especially. Somebody may be interested in you. You know, your co worker introduced you and all this and that, but I think.
Big Ice Cupcat
Take it slow, man. Yeah, take it slow.
Deontay Kyle
Take some time to yourself, man. You know, you don't need it. You don't need to. You don't need to rush into a relationship, man. I don't think that's necessary.
Big Ice Cupcat
I know it's human nature. They want companionship, but, you know, but not right now. So I think you need to. Yeah,
Deontay Kyle
you need to take your time.
Big Ice Cupcat
Take your time, brother.
Deontay Kyle
You need grieve, man. That's tough.
Big Ice Cupcat
That's tough, bro.
Deontay Kyle
It's okay. You know, Again, I condolences to you. But, you know, make sure you're doing it with the right, with the right intention and not doing it to replace something within yourself.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah. Take some time sending your thoughts.
Deontay Kyle
Get one of them.
Big Ice Cupcat
Oh, you want these?
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Caller/Listener
Cool. Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
You know my stuff off the writer, son. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right there. Bingo. Yeah, There we go. Okay. No nut. Eternity.
Big Ice Cupcat
Jesus. Get into it.
Deontay Kyle
We've been together for two years and this man has yet to pop my cherry, huh?
Big Ice Cupcat
Jesus Christ.
Deontay Kyle
That just pissed me off.
Big Ice Cupcat
It pissed you off so bad that you, that you dropped the Reese's cuff.
Deontay Kyle
No, man, I'm pissed off that the wishes come fell face down.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here, another one.
Deontay Kyle
This is my living room.
Big Ice Cupcat
It is, but I. I wouldn't.
Deontay Kyle
That's you. All right.
Big Ice Cupcat
Kiss it to go.
Deontay Kyle
We know you'll care.
Big Ice Cupcat
Kiss it to go.
Deontay Kyle
No, I'm just saying.
Big Ice Cupcat
So
Deontay Kyle
perfectly upside down. It did.
Big Ice Cupcat
I seen it.
Deontay Kyle
I could have took that as a sign. Not eat. Not to eat the.
Big Ice Cupcat
But you know.
Deontay Kyle
But I did, you know. Now we know you carrots. Why you wanna.
Big Ice Cupcat
That's you, man. That's you, man. All right, let's get into it, man.
Deontay Kyle
All right. It's been two years. This man has yet to pop my cherry. I fake it every time because I know he'll get really self conscious. He already has trouble staying hard because he gets nervous. Two years. He says it's still surreal to have a baddie in bed. And he's super. Are you just gonna go somewhere else?
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, he just.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, man.
Big Ice Cupcat
No, give him the advice. Give him the advice, huh?
Deontay Kyle
He's super sweet, huh? I mean. And also, you know, we can't confirm that you're a battery. We can. You just saying that either way.
Big Ice Cupcat
Did she see an attachment? No.
Deontay Kyle
She trying to figure out. Figure out how she gonna nut. He says it's still surreal to have a baddie in bed. And he's super sweet. At this point, though, I don't even get turned on anymore, but I'm afraid to come clean because I've dug myself into a hole. I hype him up every time, but the thought of it as encouragement. We've had numerous conversations about what we like about each other, but he just doesn't listen and can't get it right. Obviously I loved him because I've stayed this long. I don't ever want to do anything to make him uncomfortable or feel less of himself. I even threw away my toy a while back because I thought maybe I was overstimulating my being. But now I still feel nothing. At the very least, I know I'm doing a good job, I guess. What do I do, man?
Big Ice Cupcat
Go buy that brother a six pack of beet juice.
Deontay Kyle
It ain't even a beat. I mean, she's saying, he ain't, he ain't. She ain't feeling nothing. I mean. I mean, here, man. Sexual chemistry is very important. Yeah.
Big Ice Cupcat
Very important.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah. It's not everything, which is why you stayed, but it is very important in a relationship. And if y' all are gonna be together this whole time and you're not gonna have no sexual gratification. You end up cheating on this that she is. I would say that we had to be candid about these things, and we had to be on. We had to be honest with this young man about the fact that he's not getting the job done. And, you know, maybe, you know, maybe he need to tag team the toy in. You know, maybe bring the toy in, maybe. So no, maybe, you know, maybe he needs to deal with his whatever. You know, the game is mental. You know what I'm saying?
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah. But I don't know.
Caller/Listener
Oh, man.
Deontay Kyle
I don't want you. I don't want to just be like, lead this, because that's crazy. But. And then also we need to investigate, like, has he had what is his. The. What is his. He. He has somehow. I'm not putting this on him, but I'm just surmising it may have some type of sexual trauma probably and stopping him from doing the dude with you. I don't think it's about not being bad. I mean, after a while, you just look like. You just look how you look. I mean, looks. You know, you get. You get used to looks after a while, you know what I'm saying? So it can't be that he may have some type of sexual trauma that he need to employ. Maybe I need to ask about that. Maybe he need to go to, like, some sexual therapy. Maybe he jacking it too much much maybe something. And, you know, and maybe, you know, there could be a multitude of things, but if you're gonna stay with him, y' all need to figure this out. Maybe I need to go to a sexual therapist or something. And, you know, if he gonna take it personally, he could just okay you. Would you rather hurt him feeling or just never nut again? And I know you don't want that. And hurting somebody feelings is like, that's literally life. You're gonna hurt their feelings whether you sometimes intend to or not. So it's better that y' all just address that if you want to be with this man. All right, Final, final, final one.
Big Ice Cupcat
Let's do it.
Deontay Kyle
Future podcast content creator in need of advice. Hey, Deontay. I just want to start off by saying how much I love the show and I rarely even value the opinions of men so much. So trust that this means a lot. Started listening not too long ago. I'm obsessed with how you. How much you guys back the community and give the love right back. Aside from being funny as hell. Okay, straight to the point. I'm 19 currently in school and the idea of having a podcast has been on my mind. Heavy. I've always been opinionated, love having discussions, very strong on my values, morals. Recently I've gotten close to a friend who's practically the same. Despite our unique personalities and upbringings, we're very compatible, friendship wise. Love my girl down. And I've noticed we've come up with this idea to start a podcast. The pool for popular black female creators doing so is very small. It's a little discouraging, not gonna lie. Would love to hear any suggestions, advice or encouragement. Literally anything. Love what you guys do. I'll be tuning in every time. Thank you love. Hope to hear back. All right, so here's the thing. You 19, I, I personally not listening to no podcast from no 19 year old because what you talking about, what you tell me about? I think that you need to go on a personal, personal brand journey first. Because I'm telling you that's just going to be the consensus. It's media you're going to be covering. Not saying that you can't. I'm just saying the average person that listens to a podcast is older than you.
Caller/Listener
You.
Deontay Kyle
A lot of people listen to podcasts on their way to work. So podcasts are like hinged on information, you know, life advice, humor. You need some more experience in life, you need some more experience in media. You don't have a personal brand so nobody's gonna listen to it off the rip if they don't already feel like they know who you are. So I would say the first, the first piece of advice not to be discouraging, just to be honest, the first piece of advice is to understand that this is about more than being opinionated. You know me and Big K have a chemistry. I'm 35 years old. I have a wealth of life experience that lends to my opinion. I have a wealth of life experience that lends to my perspective. And I think that if I would have tried to do this at 19, nobody was going to listen to me me cuz I didn't know I hadn't been through for real. For real. And the opinions that I had at 19, I would wipe the floor with at 35. Yeah. So here's my thing. Let's, let's, let's work on a personal brand first. Let's work. If you want to make content, I would say start doing that first. Don't start with a podcast cuz now you investing in equipment and you're going to get 150, 200 views on YouTube, if that's. Especially if you don't have a following already. So let's focus on our personal brand on social media, giving your opinions on things, giving your perspective on things, and see if you can see if people care about it there. If people don't want to listen to you for two or three minutes, there's no way they're going to listen to you for an hour. So let's start with our personal brand. Let's start small and this. And I'm not telling you anything I haven't done. I started in the truck. You hear people say it all the time. I started on tick tock, given two to five minutes of my opinions on things, and then that expanded from there. But I wouldn't. I wouldn't dive right into no podcast. No, I. I just don't think that's wise. So, you know, you could be opinionated, but you need to have experience. You can be opinionated, but you need to be expert in some form of fashion and, you know, take your ass to school, man. 19, man. Let's go enroll.
Big Ice Cupcat
Let's get some.
Deontay Kyle
We'll go get the thing going. Because if you think. If you think that just starting a podcast is going to change everything, that just ain't how it works. You need a personal brand. You need some more life experience, and you need. You need a proof of concept, and you don't have that right now for sure. Right now, what you have is an idea, but the idea doesn't prove anything. So let's go get our proof of concept, let's build our personal brand, and then we can start talking about podcast maybe four years from now. Yeah, maybe five. Maybe when we turn 25, we start talking about podcasts.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
But, yeah, man, thank you for calling. Thank you for the love and support. That'll be it for today, man. Big cat, how you feeling, brother?
Big Ice Cupcat
I'm feeling good, man. Got one more show, baby. Nashville. I'm ready. Feel good, man. We doing our thing, man. The next thing. We're taking over the world, baby. Taking over the world. Deontay Kyle
All right?
Big Ice Cupcat
We streaming every Mondays, man. We're gonna get this equipment set up. Don't worry, y'.
Deontay Kyle

Big Ice Cupcat
New Music Mondays is coming back. A lot of y' all at the live shows ask me, me what's going on with the Music Mondays. A lot of y' all in the comments asking what's going on with the music Mondays. So it will be coming back. Don't worry.
Deontay Kyle
We got y' all bringing back some streaming, man.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, we going.
Deontay Kyle
We doing streaming also, man. You know, I just thought about. Somebody made a video about this a few weeks ago in the early 2000s. Y' all wasn't just calling Aon Black as all the time.
Big Ice Cupcat
He is, though.
Deontay Kyle
Yeah, but like. But like, is putting, like, chain black, like Aon.
Big Ice Cupcat
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Deontay Kyle
Imagine listening to that.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, he's a lot of reference.
Caller/Listener
Great.
Deontay Kyle
Hey, a one change color.
Big Ice Cupcat
Hey, bro, y' all keep using me
Deontay Kyle

Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah,
Deontay Kyle
I know I'm black. I know I'm black. Like a.
Big Ice Cupcat

Deontay Kyle
That's crazy. Akon went to Turkey and got some put on.
Big Ice Cupcat
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a toupee.
Deontay Kyle
That's paste. They glued that. I believe you supposed to light up Africa with that hair.
Big Ice Cupcat
No, no, no, not that.
Deontay Kyle
Nah, man. Man, no, sir.
Big Ice Cupcat
You should just want balls, son.
Deontay Kyle
She just went balls. I mean, you had the. The. The low dark season. Yeah. For the longest damn ball. We already know what you gonna look like. Yeah, just go balls. I don't know what's up with these, man. Man, listen.
Caller/Listener

Deontay Kyle

Caller/Listener
You know what I'm saying? It's just hip hop.
Deontay Kyle
It's just.
Caller/Listener
You know what I'm saying?
Deontay Kyle
It's just my. It's just rats, man. Turn me up, man. It's just raps. I just want to rap. You know? I just want to rap, man. I just want to rap. Faith was on my side. Yeah. Was my faith was on my side. Yeah.
Ski
They say without the proper labor, faith don't stand a chance. I put my faith and faith and stand on fertile land. I planted seeds Adeline De Turn into trees before Rest in peace teas get printed to me unless impeded. Matter of fact, that got me thinking back when Mr. Love was tending to his garden, schooling me to annuity before he grabbed his clubs to go golfing. And it's no coincidence that doe still had the Caddy back when woods were still the best. Don't let me roll off course here, Georgie. Pops was dropping gems while I was lighting cigs. But, you know, I, too, was listening. With Mo is, you see, that's the best that I can do. Wisdom is the application of knowledge. I was picking up what he was putting down, just wasn't applying it. I ain't denying it. Nah, maybe I was too busy trying to find the balance between religion and science. Trying to get to the bottom of everything while being the highest. Like a pilot's roots. Am I right, brother? Cause I was simultaneously relaying it through reason and rhyming that I sought for us dissecting systems responsible for our imprisonment. The visionary with astigmatism and scarred courtiers. If love is blind, then what am I? You can't fight fate. That's why.
Deontay Kyle
So.
