I've made more than $3 million online and every cent of that was generated by my podcast. And in that time, my podcast on average only took one hour of my time per week. I've helped more than 400 other CEOs and business owners install profitable podcasts into their business. That brings them leads and sales 247 even when they're on vacation. And I know that since you're a business owner, you probably understand that content is the most cost effective and scalable way to grow a business in today's. And you want to use content to grow your business. But here's the problem. You're a business owner, you're busy running a business and you've been misled to believe that in order to do content right, you have to become a full time creator and you have to be on every single platform. But here's the thing. You don't have time to create content for a dozen platforms. You don't have time to master each one. And you certainly don't have time to manage a huge content team. Cause again, you've got a business to run. And yet you're still trying to do this. You're posting content here and there, maybe even semi consistently. But it's frustrating. It's not bringing enough new leads, it's not growing your audience, and it's definitely not growing your business. All it's doing is eating up your time and your resources. So if that sounds like you, here's the good news. Today we're going to turn that around. In this video, I'm going to share my 1 hour per week content strategy that will let you publish high quality content that actually grows your business. Because all it takes is one recording session per week for you to have content on Your podcast, on YouTube, for your email list, on any social media platforms that you want, for SEO, even for ads, and anywhere else. My name is Kevin. I'm the founder of Grow the Show where we help business owners grow through podcasting. And the system that I'm about to share is my bread and butter. I'm giving it away in this video and I call it the podcast driven business. Here's the idea. You, the business owner, the CEO, founder, investor, entrepreneur, whatever you call yourself, you spend just one hour a week recording a podcast episode. That episode can be an expert interview, a conversation with a co host, or just you sharing some insights. And in that one recording, you share something useful for your target audience, the same people that your business serves. The episode can be up to an hour or it could Be as short as five to 10 minutes. You can record it as audio only, or if you want, you can add video and publish it on YouTube. YouTube. Then, once the episode is recorded, AI steps in. It transforms the stuff that you said in that hour of conversation, which is a lot of good stuff, and it takes all those pieces and gives you an email newsletter that you can send out to your list and social media content that you can share wherever you want. Now, you may have tried AI tools before and the output might have been clunky or very AI Y. We all know first is a game changer. And you can tell if the word game changer is used right? If that's you, I understand. Stick with me, because with this system, you're going to make the AI sound just like you. And once you achieve that, it only takes one hour of input per week and you've got yourself a three pillar content strategy. Long form content for your podcast on YouTube, which nurtures the crap out of leads. Short form content for social media that generates tons of leads and a direct line to your audience through an email newsletter, which gets all these leads to finally buy each of these three pillars, then works to grow the others as well. So on the podcast, you share links to freebies and lead magnets that get the people on your email list. In your newsletter, you keep your subscribers updated on new episodes of the show and they go and listen. And then on social media, you point people to both of those things so they listen to your podcast, watch your YouTube and subscribe to your email list. All three of those pillars work together to bring people into your sales funnel, which is the steps that people have to take in order to buy your stuff. That funnel might include a discovery call with you or a sales team. It might be a DM chat on Instagram, or sometimes it's just a well crafted sales page. Either way, here's the best part. Once you have this content system built, all you gotta do is record one podcast episode a week. Have I said that enough yet? Sorry, but I'm not kidding. It's worth repeating. Because with this setup, you get leads and sales 24, 7, reaching people around the world any time of day. And in fact, since I've hit record on this video, three leads have come in and somebody just joined my membership while I was recording this video. Because my content is out there doing the work. All I did was record one episode, run it through this system, and now it's doing the work for me while I sleep. Or in this case, talk to you in these YouTube videos now, okay, you might be thinking, all right, Kev, I get it, I get it. Just one episode a week. You've said it already. But what should these episodes actually be about? How do I know what topics to cover? Well, whether or not you're interviewing other people, which. Hint, hint. If you want people to buy from you, they need to hear from you. That's a topic for another video. But the answer is simple. You just need to make episodes about the things that you did last week in your business and your life. Because here's the key. You want your podcast content to help your audience with the same challenges that your product or service solves for them. So, for example, if you're an online fitness coach helping people lose weight, your content should help them lose weight. Or if you run a business that helps companies with bookkeeping and finances, then create content that shares valuable insights on bookkeeping and finance. When you do it this way, not only is it easy for people to decide to buy from you because you've already served them for free, but it also makes it really easy for you to pick your content topics. And if you want to know what this looks like, here's all you do. When the time comes to record an episode of your podcast, just pull up your calendar from last week. Look over everything that you did. Meetings, customer interactions, even times with friends, family, or your team. Literally everything counts. And so for each item, you can ask yourself one of these four questions. Number one, what problems did I solve? Number two, what questions did I answer for people? Number three, what realizations did I have? And then number four, what stories could I tell? Now, you could ask all of these questions for every single thing on your calendar. Most of the time, within two minutes, you've got like five incredible episode topics. And if you want it easy to remember what those questions are, just think of pqrs Problems, questions, realizations, stories. This process gets even easier if you're regularly interacting with clients or customers. For example, every single week, I do a 60 minute Q& A session with business owners and podcasters about their show, about podcast growth, about marketing. And I get asked a bunch of questions on those calls. And all of those questions usually are amazing topics for episodes. So one hour of time spent with my clients, and I get 10 to 12 solid content ideas. So every week, I pull up my calendar, I ask pqrs. There's almost always an incredible podcast episode topic that comes from that. I hit record, I share a story, I answer the question, I provide some tips, maybe a framework. And like I'm doing right now, I record something that is five to 60 minutes long that's genuinely useful for my audience. Once I finish the recording, here's where the magic kicks in. I upload the recording to descript, which is an AI transcription and editing tool. With descript, I can edit the episode just like a document, and it makes the changes directly to the audio or video file. Really, really cool, right? So if you're still editing in regular editing software, you should stop. After a quick edit in descript, I send the project off to my audio and video editors. Now I outsource audio engineering and video editing because those are specialized skills. And as a business owner, my time is just too valuable for me to be doing those detailed editing tasks myself. That said, if you're at a place where you can't afford editors, that's okay. Just use descript. It can cover for you, it can make your audio sound great, and it can make your video look great. It's got great editing effects. You can use that until you can afford an audio editor or video editor. So I use two editors who transform that recording into a polished audio podcast episode and a polished YouTube video like the one you're watching right now. Already I have two boxes checked. So now it's time to take that episode and turn it into content for other channels and platforms. And this is where the real magic happens. But first, let's talk about what we're not going to do. So we're not going to just grab random clips from the episode and post them all over social media. I know that's what everyone says you should do, and it sounds like the key to growing your audience right now. But here's the truth. I've worked one on one with more than 400 podcasting business owners, and I have more than 50,000 podcasters in my audience. And across the board, I can tell you, having seen it, the clips don't work for most people, unless you're someone who's already famous or you're interviewing somebody famous, or you're filming in a big, fancy, expensive studio. For the rest of us, there's a better strategy than clips. And here's how it works.
