He was at a Junior College and the ruling may mean that Junior college students can come to a 4 year school with 4 years of eligibility. Filed as an antitrust suit against the NCAA. Should the NCAA be able to create and enforce its own rules?Round 1 Playoff Games:1. Notre Dame Dominates Indiana. Indiana could not move the ball for the life of them. Kurtis Rourke could not find an open receiver. Was in his heels the entire game, and could not run the ball at all. Gotta hand it to Notre Dame’s defense. 17-3 going into half. Notre Dame did lay down in the 4th quarter, giving up 14 points, but to little to late for Indiana.2. Penn state Routes SMU 38-10- 28-0 at one point. Ever CFB fan in America seemed to be up in arms at the performances of SMU. Clearly outmatched. Penn State’s defense had 3 interceptions in the first half. pSU only passed for 136 yards, but 3 interceptions is tough to come back from. Yards, time of possession and plays were not lopsided. The score obviously was. 3. Texas Beats Clemson- 38-24: best game of the weekend. The only competitive matchup. Klubnick passed for 336 yards. Solid performance. The difference was rushing yards. 76-292. The better QB was not Ewers, but Texas was able to shut down the running game of Clemson making them 1 dimensional. 4. Ohio State beats Tennessee- 42-17- most lopsided game, and I thought this game was gonna be the best of the 4. Nico Alphabet was shut down, 104 yards passing, 0 TD’s. Tennessee had no rushing attack. Ohio’s states defense just owned Josh Heupel’s offense. Will Howard threw for 311 yards. Both offense and defense were playing spectacular football, and Tennessee had no answer for them.Question: Which Teams would have put up a better fight in the playoffs? Question: next season Tennessee, SMU, Clemson, and Indiana will have a chance to compete for a playoff spot, will any of them be back?Too many teams in the playoff, or the wrong formula for selecting the teams?Where there any other bowl games that you really enjoyed watching so far? This Week’s Games:1. Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt in the Birmingham Bowl2. Syracuse vs Washington State in the Holiday Bowl, is Kyle McCord playing? 3. South Carolina vs Illinois in the Citrus Bowl- curious if Rocket Sanders is playing. 4. Alabama vs Michigan in the Reliaquest Bowl- Jaylon Milrow? Playoff Picture:NFL:AFC Leaders1. Bills2. Chiefs3. Heisman Reactions2. Army Navy Game- Navy beats Army 31-133. Does anyone like these smaller bowl games like South Alabama vs Western Michigan? What is their purpose?4. Does anyone think Deion Sanders stays around at Colorado much longer? His value has gone up this season.5. Who do y’all think will be the Top 2-3 Draft picks this season? 1. Cam Ward, 2. Shedeur Sanders, 3. Travis Hunter are the betting odds favorites. Tetairo McMillan at Arizona is my first pick if I need a receiver. 1300+ yards 2 seasons in a row. 6. What is the thought around the table of Bill Belichick’s hiring at UNC? 20 million nil fund?7. Marshall Opting out of the Independence bowl against Army, replaced by Louisiana Tech. This was due to them losing to many players to the portal.8. There are reports that players like Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers are considering forgoing the NFL draft to go play at other schools for huge amounts of money and to improve their draft stock next year. There was a time when these players, consider Anthony Richardson instance, left with 2 years of eligibility because nfl money is tempting. But to make similar money in college keeps them around.9. Friday Night we have Notre Dame hosting Indiana for a chance to play Georgia10. Saturday night we have Penn State Hosting SMU for a chance to play Boise State11. Tennessee at Ohio State for a chance to play Oregon12. Clemson vs Texas for a chance to play Arizona State

Arizona State5. Texas6. Penn State7. Notre dame 8. Ohio State9. Tennessee 10. Indiana11. SMU12. ClemsonQuestion: case for Alabama? Why didn’t the committee go down this road?6 conference championship games1. Army Beats Tulane: 35-14: is there a case for Army to have made the playoff?2. Boise State beats UNLV: 21-7: Looking at this game I anticipated a Boise State win. I did not anticipate UNLV only scoring seven.3. Arizona State beats Iowa State: 45-19- Iowa State got off to a good start but then just completely got trampled by Arizona State Russell game. I think Arizona State wanted to make a statement though that they need to be the force it and they certainly did4. Georgia beats Texas 22-19 in overtime- Texas defense dominated in the first half. But also Georgia’s defense was not half bad either. First half score 6-3. Texas was able to move the ball, it’s the red zone that got them. Also 2 missed field goals. After Carson beck goes down in the before the half, gunner Stockton comes in for the second half. He changed the pace of the game. Georgia dominated the 3rd quarter. 10-0. Texas got traction 4th quater out scoring Georgia 10-3, sending it to overtime.5. Oregon beats Penn State 45-37- I truly thought the momentum was going towards Penn State about halfway through the third quarter, but Oregon had all of the momentum leading up to that point and pretty much the rest of the game for about 10 minutes on. Penn State just kept looking like they were going to figure out how to come back and then just defensively they could not hold off against that Oregon offense.6. Clemson beat SMU- 34-31- Amanda Clemson just walked these guys in the very beginning of the game going up 21 points right off the bat but SMU slowly made that comeback tie in the game 31 to 31 of the end of it game. All the luck in the world Clemson managed to get into field goal range and win.Heisman FinalistsAshton Jeanty- 2497 yards. Travis Hunter- snaps? 1152 yards receiving. Cam Ward- 4123 yard, 36 TD’s QBR of 88 #1Dillon Gabriel- 3558, 28 TD, QBR-86 #2I think Kyle McCord got robbed. The stats on this guy were insane: 4326 yards passing, #1 , 29 TD’s. 4th , and yes he has 12 interceptions, but he led Syracuse to a respectable 9-3 season. Beating Miami, and Cam Ward on all fronts yet Cam Ward is there because of what? He plays for Miami?Army Navy Game? Both offenses are exceptional in the option run game. Navy comes into their game the clear underdog having 3 losses. Army’s only loss is to Notre dame so this game will favor army, but it is a rivalry. Anything can happen. Army beat Tulane while navy go blown out by Tulane. Both teams struggled against Notre DameArmy has rushed for 3773 yards on 661 attemptsNavy has rushed for 2721 yards on 506 attemptsWhat do you think about these bowl matchups?Carolina vs Illinois Florida vs TulaneOklahoma and NavyGeorgia Tech and Vanderbilt Alabama and MichiganQuestions?

Last Week’s Games:1. Boise State beats Oregon State: does this win or almost any of Boise States wins really cause you to think they deserve not only the the group of 5 spot but also a top 12 spot? 2. Georgia vs Georgia tech: Georgia beat Georgia Tech in 8 overtime’s! Georgia tech took the lead early in the second game but Georgia came back in the 2nd half. 44-423. Michigan beats Ohio State- 13-10…. What happened?4. 15 South Carolina beats 12 Clemson - 5. Syracuse beats #6 Miami, ending their chances for the ACC Championship- 42-38Reaction:1. Oregon2. Texas3. Should this be discouraged?2. I’m feeling good an about the conferences having no divisions now. Thoughts?3. Should the committee take into account recent play more than early season game play?A few Notable Coaching Changes coming:1. UNC- fired Mack Brown- 73 years old. Second time as head coach. 2. Gus Malzahn- 4-8 for the season, he did not get fired though, he’s heading up to Tallahassee.3. Ryan Walters-Purdue fired him. This is a team you expect an upset from every so often, but the expectations are not Big 10 championships. 4. Neal Brown- West Virginia5. Any more firings coming soon? Mississippi State, Kentucky? Week 14 College Football Last week’s games:1. #9 Ole Miss loses to Florida- 24-17- first big upset of the weekend. Florida was not exactly in control the entire game, but you could see that on offense and defense they came to play. They took advantage of a muffed punt return, and several of lane Kiffins signature 4th and short situations to win the field position game. In tell you what, the confidence that the gators play with when DJ Lagway is in the game is night and day difference. The look on the face of Jaxson Dart, realizing his chances at a playoff spot were pretty much over. 2. #5 Indiana gets ruined by #2 Ohio State- 38-15- Ryan Day vs curt Cigneti. OSU only had 316 yards total. Offensively they were not just destroying Indiana. They did hold Kurtis Rourke to 68 yards passing, and Indiana to 83 yards rushing. 3. #4 Penn State scrapes by Minnesota- 26-25- this team being number 4 in the country seems line a joke. They are not on fire but they do keep winning. If it weren’t for a couple turnovers Minnesota would have pulled this off the win.4. Kansas Beats #16 Colorado- 37-21- Colorado is not the new Georgia. Not sure if Deion really said that, but it’s not true. Kansas has found their footing late in the season, taking out the two best teams in the Big12 the last 2 weeks. 5. #21 Arizona State beat #14 BYU- 28-23- we all predicted this game was gonna be an ASU win. BYU only scored 3 points in the first half. They would probably have won this game if they did not have 2 interceptions. 6. Auburn beats #15 Texas A&M-43-41- 3 overtime’s for this game. Classic Auburn home game upset honestly. 1st half was all auburn, 2nd half was all Texas A&M. 7. #7 Alabama’s lethargic game against Oklahoma losing 24-3- Jaylon Milrow threw 3 interceptions, only threw for 164 yards and was 11/26. Oklahoma was all running game: 257 yard on the ground. Questions for the week?1. There is not really one dominant sec team this season. Major upsets can come weekly. Has something changed in the SEC or has competition just gotten better? 2. Does a Big12 Champion even deserve to be in the playoffs? If things keep going as they are, you might have a 27th ranked team making the playoff. 3. Are there teams trying for that 5th spot rather than making their conference championship game in the SEC or Big10?Week 14 Games:1. Georgia Tech at #6 Georgia- probably not the most likely upset of the week, but Georgia tech has had good games this season, and certainly Georgia has struggled to win some games this season due to interceptions and offensive challenges. 2. #5 Notre Dame at USC- I don’t think USC has any chance in this game. Notre Dame is really playing good football right now. Any hope for the Trojans?3. #7 Tennessee at Vanderbilt- I can’t believe we are saying this is an upset alert, but this team in Nashville has not been g strong this season. Tennessee is a different team though. They have the talent the coaching, the momentum, but man would it throw a wrench in the mix if vandy takes Tennessee out.4. Michigan at #2 Ohio State- anything can happen in this game right? Probably not this season. 5. #16 South Carolina at #12 Clemson- 167-1800 the most anticipated meeting between these two teams in years!6. Auburn at #13 Alabama- 120-3500 somehow I think this show down in the iron bowl can become a classic. Alabama is not dominant by any means, but still a heavy favorite over Auburn, who is coming off the high of a huge upset last week. 7. #3 Texas at #20 Texas A&M-where prices of tickets range from 650-4000 ,this game is vital for Texas A&M to win if they want in the playoffs. In all honesty I think Texas can lose this game and still make the playoffs. Does Steve Sarkisian decide to throw this game and skip the sec championship in the hopes of a 5 seed?

Since we have been doing this show for 5 years now, and we took down episode 1 because…. Well…… it was bad. I decided to re-release it today, just for fun. Scary to see how far we have come, and how little we have learned. Enjoy? I hope you do!Today we’re introducing ourselves as the host of guys in the bar talking sports.

Week 13 College Football From Guys at the Bar Talking Sportswww.guysatthebartalkingsports.comVenmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsLast weeks games Oregon Vs Wisconsin- showed Oregon weakness winning 16-13. Oregon could not score most of the game. Offense was not able to get momentum. Oregon has a tough game ahead no mater who they play in the Big 10 championship. South Carolina Vs Mizzu- Carolina did squeeze out this win in the end. 34-30 win. Very exciting final 2 minutes. Should gamecocks fans be as euphoric as they seem around Columbia, or should the face the reality that yes they have had a decent season, and next year with the Sellars leadership they should maintain a similar trajectory. Florida Vs LSU- big upset, much needed for the gators. Their first significant win for the program in a while. All season they were looming for this. Should Brian Kelly begin packing up now? BYU loses to Kansas- huge loss for the big12, and a nail in the coffin for speculation that 2 teams might make the playoffs from the Big12. 17-13 to the 4-6 Jayhawks. Tennessee loss to UGA- the game was even till the half, but the second half was all Georgia. 31-17 in the end. Both teams are now among the multiple 8-2 teams in the SEC. Carson Beck had no interceptions. This is what happens when they play clean football. New Mexico Beats Washington State- let’s clear the air of speculation of what they do with a 1 loss Washington State. All this loss did was help lose some of the baggage going into December for some of these teams that over perform because of the weakness of their competitors. 38-35Questions of the Week What if we end up with 6 2 Loss SEC teams at the end of the season? How does that affect the SEC championship games loser, and do they let 6 SEC teams in to the playoffs? Should Brian Kelly Start looking for a new job now? Shane Beamer has had a fantastic season so far defying all expectations. Should we start looking at this team for a potential SEC championship run in 2025? So at the end of the season the 120 man roster goes away, with it now being maxed at 105 players. Is this good for college football? This is gong to effect 2000 players in FBS, also FCS, and ever lower level football team. Week 13’s big games: #9 Ole Miss at Florida- #5 Indiana at #2 Ohio State- #16 Colorado at Kansas- Upset alert…. Beat BYU last week #14 BYU at #21 Arizona State- #18 Army at #6 Notre Dame- both navy and army have very similar offenses, and Notre dame handled Navy just fine. Does an upset look like it’s on the horizon? #15 Texas A&M at Auburn- Kentucky at #3 Texas

WEEK 12 COLLEGE FOOTBALL www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comVenmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsTwitter X: GuyTalksSportsFacebook: search Guys at the Bar Talking SportsSearch us on: YouTube, Apple Podcasts , YouTube Music, Spotify! Last Week’s GamesLSU losing to Alabama at home 42-13- giving Alabama a lot of credit for what they were able to do, go into Baton Rouge and dominate. Jaylon Milroe Ran the ball 185 yards and had 4 TD’s. Brian Kelly said they had a plan to stop the QB run….. better go back to the drawing board on that one. Also 3 turnovers doesn’t help the cause. Milroe has shown himself to be competent this season, and Kaylen Debore is coaching effectively to win games. South Carolina beats Vandy 28-7- Vandy looked like Vandy on Saturday. Carolina dominated the second half. 452 yards. Rocket Sanders is such a talent at running back. Fun to watch. Always running down hill and terrific at breaking tackles to get a few more yards. Ole Miss Beat Georgia 28-10- let’s pick this thing apart. Most of us went with Georgia last week because it really came down to Ole Miss not being successful on both sides of the ball all season. When I came right down to it though, Kirby smart tried 4 times on 4th down and was unsuccessful 3 times. they had 3 turnovers, and Ole Miss was able to hold them to 10 points. Georgia Tech beat Miami 28-23- I love to see these games come right down to the end. Georgia Tech students rushed that field, taking down the #4 team in the country. Miami put up 430 yards, and moved the ball well. But Georgia tech won time of possession, ran the ball effectively, and squeezed out a win. Virginia beat Pitt- 24-19BYU beat Utah- 22-21Questions of the Week:Are we getting close to settling in on a Heisman front runner?Every year with the 4 team playoff in mid November we were able to safely say it would work itself out. This year with the 12 team playoff do y’all really think it’s gonna work itself out? Do we need to get back to divisions in these conferences soon?Next Week’s Games:Utah at #18 Colorado- potential upset? Utah held tight on defense against BYU. I think this one may end up ending Colorado’s dreams for a Playoff Run.#17 Clemson at Pitt; potential upset? Both teams still have a chance to play in the ACC championship game. #21 LSU at Florida- this one is clearly winnable by Florida. It does not have any implications to anyone other than me. Florida got wrecked by Texas, LSU got wrecked by Alabama. Boston College at #14 SMU: potential upset? Boston College is certainly a sneaky team that can pull upsets. Virginia at #8Notre Dame- everyone keeps thinking Notre Dame is going to pull a Notre Dame and choke late in the season. #6 Tennessee at #11 Georgia- this will determine Tennessee’s run for the SEC championship. It’s a must win. Georgia does not control anything now, except keep winning and stay in the top 12, if they lose they are out.#23 South Carolina vs #24 Mizzu- Mizzu has a legit chance if they keep winning to some how make the playoff. Yes they are number 24, but they only have 2 losses. It’s in the mix for them. Unlikely but possible. Thank you!

Intros- what was the best sports year of your life…. Meaning all your teams did well/exceeded expectations/or just plain exciting. All sports….05-07- Patriots won Super Bowl, Red Sox had just won the World Series on 04, gators were on top in both basketball and Football. Even the Celtics were getting ready to win the NBA championship in 2008. Top 12 poll from Tuesday Night1. Oregon2. Georgia3. Miami4. BYU5. Texas6. Ohio State7. Tennessee 8. Penn State9. Indiana10. Notre Dame11. Alabama 12. Boise StateWhat if Scenario:1. What if SMU wins out, and beats Miami in the ACC championship?2. What if Iowa State wins out and plays undefeated BYU and wins the Big12 championship?3. I see 4 1 loss big ten teams going into December. Ohio State rematches Oregon in the Big Championship and loses. We are seriously looking a 4 big 10 teams then. If OSU loses to Oregon, do they just get dropped to a 10 seed? Still 4 in the playoffLast weeks games1. Florida vs Georgia- sadly I had to watch the gators season go down in flames as DJ Lagway’s injury is likely season ending. Florida led at the half off of 3 interceptions, and capitalizing on them. But you can see the defense and offense change once Lagway left the game. They still wanted to win, but there was doubt. With Lagway in there was no doubt. Georgia has some problems to deal with on offense and defense if they want to win a Natty.2. South Carolina vs Texas A&M- game of the week in my opinion. Texas A&M just never figured out this Gamecocks defense. They were all over TAMU’s Qb, and the Tamu defense could not seem to tackle these Gamecock receivers and Sellers.3. Clemson loss to Louisville- Louisville pounced on these tigers on Saturday. going up 26-7 by the end of Q3. The quick Louisville offense really threw the Clemson defense for a loop. 4. Oregon beats Michigan - last week Mt Man said that of the 110,000 people in the stadium none could play Qb. Clearly the only one who could play Qb last week was Dillon Gabriel. 294 yards passing, clean football by Oregon over all. Those 110k fans did not affect Oregon at all. 2 five yard penalties, 10/15 on 3rd down. This crowd was silenced by Q2, and probably leaving by mid-q3.5. Penn State loss to Ohio State- sort of a defensive battle between these two teams on Saturday. The coaches both trashed for never winning the big game. Ryan Day comes out on top. Still some weakness around Ohio State, but the oline showed someQuestions of the week1. Does anyone feel like depth has been reduced on teams causing more parody in the SEC and Big10 and elsewhere?2. Games of the Week 111. #20 Colorado at Texas Tech- coach prime is going into this game at 6-2 coming off a bye week. Texas Tech is 6-3. Colorado is favored by 32. #19 Clemson at Virginia Tech- after last weeks performance I suspect Clemson got a second wake up call for the season. Virginia Tech was looked at as a potential threat in the ACC this season,3. Michigan at #8 Indiana- Michigan has had 1 win in 4 weeks. They are still working out the QB problems. Unbeaten Indiana hopes to stay that way. Kurtis Rourke has been exceptional at QB for the Hoosiers. Michigan does not have the defense to keep him out of the end zone. 4. #2 Georgia at #16 Ole Miss- big matchup this weekend. Ole Miss has 2 losses, and they don’t want that 3rd one. A win against Georgia will give the credibility to take a top 12 spot with two losses. Georgia struggled against Florida and Kentucky this season, Will the Jaxon Dart offense be to much for the Georgia Defense?5. #11 Alabama at #14 LSU- both teams are 6-2, both teams have playoff chances on the line here. hey are going to Death Valley at night. 6. #9 BYU at Utah- undefeated BYU looks to keep their record on tarnished. Utah was the powerhouse in the mountains of the Pac 12 7. South Carolina at Vanderbilt - coming off a huge win against Texas A&M last week. The gamecocks certainly want to knock out another ranked opponent

Alabama beats Mizzu- 34-0.2. Pitt beats Syracuse 41-133. Boise State beats UNLV- 29-24.4. Ohio State beats Nebraska 21-17: Ohio state was lethargic this game. The offensive line struggled..5. Texas Beats Vandy- 27-24.6. Texas A&M beats LSU 38-23: both of these teams were playing to be at the top of the SEC,Looking at Week 10 CFB1. Pitt at SMU- ACC leaders, Pitt has been winning but not blowing anyone out to bad except Syracuse last weekend, while SMU is fairly solid offensively but lacking defensively. This could be a really close game in my opinion. SMU is a 7.5 point favorite, probably because they are expected to score easily. Pitt showed they can play though, forcing turnovers and interceptions. This could be close, with Pitt even coming out on top.2. Duke at Miami- coach: Mario Cristobal. Cam Ward is QB.Duke held their own against SMU last week. Losing in OT by a point. They have no trust in their kicker, and will have to figure out that piece to beat Miami. Probably have to figure out a lot. ,Miami has had some close calls. Virginia Tech, Cal and Louisville all 1 possession games. Duke is probably at par with those 3 teams, maybe even having a better defense. Only 1 team put up more than the 28 points SMU put up. 3. Texas A&M at South Carolina-coach: Beamer and Mike Elko. QB Conner Wiegman or Marcel Reed: I should buy tickets to this game, because SC at home is going to be huge against TAMU. Texas A&M is running on all cylinders right now, looking well coached, with players who believe they can come from no where and win it all. The gamecocks of put some good games together while slacking on others, so, depending on which team we got, this could be an upset for the week.4. Florida vs Georgia: Billy Napier and Kirby Smart. QB; DJ Lagway and Carson Beck: obviously on paper Georgia is the better team this season, but they are not the team they have been from total production standpoint. Gators are still trying to figure things out with DJ Lagway replacing an injured Graham Mertz..5. Clemson vs Louisville- coach: Dabo Swinney and Jeff Brohm. QB Cade Clubmick. since their loss to Georgia Clemson has been wrecking their opponents. Louisville is mid-tier at best, with a good offense, but little defense. Clemson wins6. Oregon at Michigan- coach: Dan Lanning and Sherrone Moore. QB: Dillon Gabriel: how to be relevant this season, beat Oregon in the big house. Michigan has not found their place yet though. Oregon just has to many weapons on both sides of the ball to play down to Michigans level. 7. Ohio State at Penn State: Ryan Day. James Franklin. QB: possible that Penn States QB Drew Allar is out, and a true freshman will be in. Will Howard has the chops to win this game, as long as they play aggressively and he can get the protection needed by a young offensive line.
