Hello Goddess welcome back to the Habits of a Goddess Podcast. A podcast filled with self love, self care and spiritual affirmations. My mission for whoever is listening to this podcast is that you find ways to empower yourself, attract the life that you desire, and feel supported on the self love journey. I have experienced a new way of opening up to the endless possibilities of healing and growing through sharing my voice. I'm your host Jasmine Rascoe and today's episode we'll be talking about building trust in yourself, overcoming self doubt. Also, if you're enjoying the podcast, don't forget to Give Hapless of a Goddess Podcast a five star review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I love reading the reviews you guys leave. It means the world to me to see how truly the podcast has made a positive impact in your life. And when you leave a review, it helps other goddesses discover the podcast too. So building trust in yourself requires you to know yourself. When you build trust in yourself, you're able to overcome self doubt, you're able to overcome a lack mindset, and you're able to adapt an abundance mindset. When you're building trust in yourself, you're able to adapt a I can do it mindset. So one of the ways that I build trust in myself is being consistent and having discipline and being committed to the goals that I set for myself. Like keeping the promise you make to yourself. It is so important. If you start breaking promises that you make for yourself, you don't allow yourself to adapt and grow and build confidence in the things that you are seeking in life. And I give you guys an example. I have always been an athlete. I run track, I was a cheerleader, I played softball, I played sports growing up. So naturally I'm built an athletic shape. And even outside of playing sports, throughout school I kept that routine that I learned at a very young age in life. I became committed to my health and wellness. And even still till this day, I enjoy working out in the mornings. I've always have been disciplined when it comes to my health and wellness and I do allow myself to indulge and enjoy from time to time. But I'm so committed to maintaining my ideal goal for myself. And I'm so committed to maintaining a healthy mindset too as well. Because it's not just what you're putting in your body, it's also about what you're thinking on a daily basis, what you're saying to yourself, how you're speaking to yourself. So your health is not only your physical health, it's also your mental health. And when you're consistent and when you're keeping the promises to yourself, whether you promise that you are going to consume more water instead of sodas or consume more water instead of alcohol, whatever it is, maybe you want to set a new goal for yourself to consume less and you want to start looking at how you are eating. Are you eating mindful or you over indulging in certain foods or your thoughts, are you thinking and speaking negative to yourself or are you speaking positive to yourself? So when you are making a commitment to yourself, you are building trust and intimacy with Yourself, you're building confidence, you're building the courage. And this does not leave space for any self doubt to manifest into your life because you are making a commitment and you're keeping your promise to yourself, whatever that is for you. I just use me with my health and wellness. Like I know for me, the morning times is how I take care of myself the most. Like, I give my devoted time towards exercising and I contribute that towards my commitment of keeping a promise of taking care of my body. You can incorporate different things to help you reach your goals and help maintain your goals. When it comes to your health and wellness, you just have to figure out what works best for you. But even when you add other things outside of exercising, dieting, maintaining what you're eating, being mindful when you're eating, it doesn't matter. You still have to keep a routine and be consistent with it. And the promises that you make to yourself is so important. So when you are fulfilling your obligation to yourself, you are growing a stronger, confident you. You're building trust with yourself. You're trusting that you will always make the best decisions for yourself. You're trusting that no matter what decision you make, it is going to elevate you. No matter what decisions you make that's geared towards your financial goals, it's going to elevate you your physical goals, your mental goals. You know, it's going to always elevate you because you've built a consistent journey of maintaining the promises that you've set for yourself, the goals that you set for yourself. So I'll share with you guys, like something that I did today that I actually talked about this. Like in a few episodes ago, I told myself that I was going to do a deep, deep cleanse and my closet, like I was going to clean up my closet and get rid of a lot of things that just no longer resonates with me. I know I have, I'm very guilty of impulsive shopping. Like I love to shop. That's my guilty little pleasure. And sometimes I will buy things, even if it's on sale, I'll buy it and I'll buy it in all colors if it, you know, whatever colors it comes in. And so I realized that I want to clean out my closet and I want to get rid of a lot of clothes that no longer resonate with me. So the commitment, the promise that I made with myself was to work on that. And I've been doing that. I actually did some of that today. And I'm going to continue doing that leading up to the new year. So the promise that I made to myself is if I can clean up my closet, organize it, and from now on, intentionally only purchase clothes. That elevates me, elevates this new version of myself in quality over quantity, then only make that purchase. But if it doesn't elevate me, if it doesn't align with my higher self, my goal for myself, then don't make that purchase. Even if it's on sale, even if they're giving it away for free, like, don't make that purchase. So that's a commitment that I made to myself. And how I build trust in making that commitment is following through what I say that I'm going to do. So today I did a little outing and I went to Saks Fifth Avenue, which is one of my favorite stores to shop, and they had all kinds of sales going on. And the old me would have just bought everything that I wanted just because it was on sale. But the new version, the new version that I'm practicing, this is still new for me. So I'm sharing with you guys something new. The new version of me is like, take time and actually look at this. And how would you incorporate this into your new life? Does this match the new version of you? If it doesn't, and if you're not excited to purchase this, don't just buy it because it's on sale. So for the first time, I would say I did not buy anything from socks. And they had all kinds of cells like Manolos, Christian Louboutins, all shoe designers, Dolce Gabbana, all great sales. So if you're listening to this and you're like, I would love to shop the cells, this is your sign. But if you're like me and you're like, hey, I don't want to over indulge and spend just because things are on sale. And I want to, you know, clean up my closet too. As well. This message is for you too, so it could work other ways. This is a great time to save and shop some of those nice brands. And this is also a great time to realize, hey, maybe I'm impulsively shopping and buying things just because it's on sale. And maybe this isn't for me right now. So I am proud of myself. I follow through on my commitment and my goal, and I'm sticking to it. I have goals bigger than last year, and I'm following through my commitment. So I'm making room for new. So not only is I'm doing the closet clean, I'm doing the mental clean. I've been doing a social media mental cleanse. I've been unfollowing accounts that just no longer resonates with me. Maybe accounts are probably not even active anymore. I did that too as well. And just, you know, I want to make sure that I'm only following accounts that really inspire me. And I know that if I'm committed to only following things or making decisions that aligns with myself, it goes back into me, but building trust that I am making the best decisions for myself on a daily basis. And you also have to live with like a daily deposit, like a daily mental deposit, mentally telling yourself daily, like, every single day I make a choice that elevates me. Every single day I make a choice that redirects me to my higher self. Like, there's no right, there's no wrong way of doing life. There's no wrong decision I can make. I know that the choices I make, the decisions I make is elevating me. So if you feel like you have self doubt right now, if you feel like you don't trust yourself to make the best food choices when you go out to eat with friends, or you don't trust yourself to maybe save instead of spend or maybe earn more instead of spending more, if you don't trust yourself with to pick the right partner, or if you don't trust yourself to, you know, pick the right friendships, this is your time, this is your season to actually sit with yourself and start working on that, any area of your life that you realize, hey, I don't trust myself in this area of my life. So I want to reframe the way I'm thinking and I want to work.

That I want to work internal because it starts from the inside. When you work on yourself on the inside and you build the momentum. The consistency of showing up for yourself and trusting that you are making decisions that aligns with you and you're showing up for yourself, you're being consistent. The more you do things in life, the more you start to see it manifest into your life. Like, the more that you show up for yourself, the more disciplined you are. The more you go to the gym, the more you save instead of spending more. Like, you start to see that change in your life, and that is a result of you building trust in you. That's a result of you saying, I can do this instead of I can't, because those are very powerful words. So rephrase the way you speak, rephrase the way you think to yourself. And every single day, use your surrender and trust affirmations to manifest a reality that you desire. When you trust yourself, you glow. When you trust yourself, you walk tall and confident. When you trust yourself, you take back your power. When you trust yourself, you take back your power. You, like, you are the authority in your life. So if you feel like you have been giving away your power and you've been allowing other people to make decisions for you, I want you to take back your power. If you're feeling insecure about something, work on that. Work on whatever area in your life that you feel insecure about. Stop giving away your power to other people. Make decisions and stick with it. If it doesn't work out, try it again. Try a different approach, but never fully allow other people to make all the decisions in your life. You gain experience and you gain wisdom and knowledge, and you build trust by making decisions for you. You build that muscle by making bold decisions for yourself. So I trust you today to follow through your commitment. Write down one commitment that you want to accomplish before the end of the year, before 2024 is over, before the new year. Write down one commitment that you want to fulfill. And you're going to be consistent. And you're gonna. You're gonna be disciplined towards this. So write down one thing that you can work on to build trust in yourself and you can accomplish before the new year. So remember to be kind and gentle with yourself. I want to leave you with an affirmation that you can repeat throughout the day. Place your hand over your heart and just take a deep breath and breathe and repeat this affirmation after me. I trust my inner goddess to light the path of empowerment of my journey. I trust my inner goddess to light the path of empowerment on my journey. I trust my inner goddess to light the path of empowerment on my journey. When you trust your inner goddess to light the path of empowerment on your journey, you will be fully supported.

This episode serves as a beacon for women seeking to harness their inner goddess through actionable strategies and heartfelt insights.
Understanding the Importance of Self-Trust
Jasmine opens the conversation by emphasizing the foundational role of self-trust in personal development. She articulates that "building trust in yourself requires you to know yourself" (02:20)—a sentiment that underscores the necessity of self-awareness as the bedrock of confidence and growth. Strategies for Building Self-Trust
Consistency and Discipline: Jasmine highlights the significance of being consistent and disciplined in pursuing personal goals. Commitment to Goals: Committing to one's goals is portrayed as a testament to self-respect and dedication. Jasmine stresses the importance of "keeping the promise you make to yourself" (04:10), explaining that breaking such promises can erode self-confidence and hinder personal growth.
Maintaining Physical and Mental Health: Drawing from her athletic background, Jasmine discusses the interplay between physical discipline and mental resilience. She states, "Your health is not only your physical health, it's also your mental health" (05:30). By maintaining a balanced routine that nurtures both the body and mind, individuals can create a harmonious environment for self-trust to flourish.
Personal Anecdotes: Leading by Example
Jasmine shares personal experiences to illustrate her points, making the advice relatable and tangible:
Health and Wellness Commitment: Jasmine recounts her lifelong dedication to athletics and how it ingrained a disciplined lifestyle. This balance between discipline and indulgence exemplifies sustainable self-trust.
Corrigible Impulsive Behaviors: She narrates her journey of overcoming impulsive shopping habits by committing to a closet cleanse. "I told myself that I was going to do a deep, deep cleanse in my closet...if it doesn't align with my higher self, then don't make that purchase" (10:40). This decisive action reinforces her trust in her ability to make mindful choices.
Overcoming Self-Doubt: Transformative Mindset Shifts
Addressing the core theme of self-doubt, Jasmine advocates for a conscious shift in mindset:
Positive Self-Talk: She encourages listeners to "rephrase the way you speak, rephrase the way you think to yourself" (13:20), promoting affirmations that bolster self-confidence.

Practical Steps and Affirmations for Building Trust
