If you've ever spent time with someone and after having a conversation or just being being around that person, you felt completely off for hours, even days afterwards. If your mood changes just from scrolling online, you go from content happy to sad to disappointed to feeling anxious anxiety. Let's talk about how to recognize it, how to stop it, and how to come back to you. You may not just be feeling you might be absorbing other people's energy, being an empath, being a divine inner being, a divine goddess, or a highly sensitive soul. It is sacred. It's a sacred gift. Because you feel deeply, you're able to connect with other people. If you're intuitive person, you're able to see and feel other people's emotions. You've you're tapped in, you're tuned in and often the emotions anchors for others you can feel. That's how you are able to connect so easily and understand people's pain, understand people's trauma. I can easily pick up on someone's energy. When I walk into a room, I can easily sense it. I can easily feel the energy within other people. And if you're new to understanding or feeling other people's energy, sometimes it can be heavy. It can weigh on you so much because you're not meant to carry other people's burdens energy all day, every day. It can be overwhelming. You could be feeling overstimulated just by doing that. Feeling someone's energy is not the same as carrying it. So ask yourself, am I aware of what's mine and what isn't? Do I often take responsibility for emotions that aren't mine to hold? Do I absorb moods like a sponge, even from strangers? This awareness is your first instance. Energetic boundary. It's okay to have compassion. It's okay to understand deeply someone's pain, someone's trauma, but it's not okay to carry it with you every day. It's not okay. I used to be the go to friend where you can come and you can release everything that you're going through. And I would have a non judgmental listening ear. I would have a very open heart and have so much compassion. But I realize I was only that person in their life. And to me, that is not an ideal friendship. So you may be finding yourself like this in a friendship where you feel like you're the person that they go to and they just dump on you onto you their relationship problems, their money problems, their job problems, their dating problems, whatever it is, right? Their drama problems. And you're starting to feel like this is not an ideal situation for me. I don't want to connect no longer in this way with people. I want to connect when someone feels like their best version of themselves. I want to connect when someone feels happy, when someone is content with their life. I'm not saying you're perfect, I'm not saying everything is going in your life easy breezy. But what I'm saying is we are no longer holding energetic space for others to draw, to dump their trauma onto us. We are no longer carrying other people's drama, other people's insecurity, other people's disbelief system. We are no longer carrying that in our lives because that becomes heavy, that energy that you are absorbing when your friend is depressed and you give a solution to their problem, but they come back with 10 more problems and they're not listening, they're not taking ownership, they're not taking accountability over their lives. But you are their go to person to cheer them on. We're not doing that anymore. In this season, if you've been feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, ask yourself who have you been letting into your life that brings chaos with them? Who have you been allowing to come into your life and how have you been handling that? Are you mismanaging your boundaries that you have for yourself? It's very important to understand when you have a genuine relationship in a friendship that's not based off of trauma, it's not based off of chaos, it's not based off of, you know, anything that just takes you off of your discourse in life. Because a lot of times people are connecting in that way, in that shape and form, and it's heavy. It's a heavy burden. I'm not saying we're looking for perfect friendships. I'm not saying we're looking for perfect relationships or perfect jobs. But what I'm saying is take accountability to what you devote your time and energy to and don't use your resources.

Your resources is your happiness. Your resources is your peace. Your resources is your stability. Your resources is your, your bliss, your joy, your money. Are you filling up those areas in your life or are you letting people come in and take and absorb and create that in your life? The opposite of that in your life. So let's talk about energetic cords. Every time we interact, especially in emotionally intense ways, we form energetic connections with people. So this can be beautiful to form an intense, energetic emotional connection. But it also can become draining, especially if they remain uncut or one sided. So this goes back to friendship. If you're always that, go to person, that therapist for your friend. They're telling, they're venting, they're confiding in you. And I'm not saying like it's not okay to be a listening or a shoulder for your friend in a time of need or. But that should not be the basis of your friendship or that should not be the basis of your interaction with people on a day to day basis. That is heavy. Even just looking at things on social media or in the news, whatever you're consuming, it should not be the basis of things that make you feel drained. You don't need to hold onto every energetic interaction you have with people. You are allowed to release. You are allowed to release. When someone comes into your life and they bring an unpleasant experience, you are allowed to release them because it no longer serves you, it never served you in the beginning. But sometimes we are looking for friendship and we stick around a little too long because we are feeling lonely. And I use the word we because I've been guilty of that. If you have been guilty of that, of sticking around in a friendship a little too long because you genuinely want a friendship. You genuinely want to connect genuinely. You want to connect with people on a deeper level, not just surface level, but like on a deeper level where you're actually have an interest in each other lives. Sometimes people are not happy and content in their life and they're miserable. But is it your job to cheer them on and get them out of their misery? No. Is it your job to be their therapy goddess?

No it's not. Is it your job to be their life coach? No. You should not be looked at as the friend who is the cheerleader always in the friendship because that becomes one sided and it's heavy. If you're only getting a phone call when someone needs advice that doesn't feel like a mutual beneficial friendship, it becomes heavy because you feel used in abuse and you start to carry on other people's problems and burdens and it's not yours to carry. It's not yours to carry, Goddess. So if you've been feeling this way, it's time to cut the cord. It's time to release them. It's time to call back your energy. If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately, overstimulated in other people's reality, that's not yours. Okay? Because we create our own reality. We have the power to create our own reality. And a lot of times when you are working on yourself, you're meditating, you're working out, you're drinking your water, you're checking your, you know, you're taking your vitamins, you're doing your follow ups with your doctor's appointments, you're in a healthy relationship, you're managing your finances, you're, you know, you got a new car, you got a new home, you're starting a family, a lot of times people are looking at your life and they're not happy whatever they're doing in their life and they will come and bring that energy into your world. And I'm telling you it's not your job to carry that burden of other people. And don't feel sad. Don't feel like you shouldn't enjoy your blessings or you shouldn't enjoy the happiness that you've created, the peace that you've created, you should enjoy that. You should enjoy all of that. If you've been listening to this podcast and you've noticed a positive shift in your life and you have been trying to share with your friends like, hey, this is what has helped me change my demeanor in life, my mood in life. I feel so much better. I feel lighter. You can lead by example, but don't feel like it's your responsibility to pick other people up and put them in a better position in life. Put them in a better place of just contentment in life. It's not your job. So take a look. And if you feel like people are in your life right now and you've been absorbing their energy every time, every time they come around you, you don't feel good after they leave. The interaction is not good. It feels heavy, it feels draining. They're always upside down in life. If you've been feeling this way with family, with friends, whoever, I'm going to share with you something very simple you can do. You can do this. Anytime that you feel heavy, I want you to simply cut the cord, energetically cut the cord from that person. If they are draining you. Depleting your resources that you've been planting, you've been working on your resources of peace, happiness, joy, bliss, love, you've been working on that. Don't let someone come into your life, Goddess. And take and take and take. It's not your job to turn other people's lives around. So find a quiet space. If you're listening to this while you're driving, you can always come back to this ritual that you can do. Simply anytime that you feel heavy with other people's burdens and you've been carrying that on with you, find a quiet space and just close your eyes and just take a deep breath. Take a very deep breath and breathe. And just visualize the person or the situation that you feel tied to. You feel tied to this situation and you don't know how to let go of the situation or you don't know how to leave the person or people that is causing you to feel overwhelmed lately. Visualize that person. Okay. Imagine a glowing cord connecting you to them. Imagine that and gently say, I release this with love. I reclaim my energy. I return what is not mine. Visualize the core dissolving or just being gently cut from the person or the situation. Fill this space where it was once with your own golden light. Fill the space up with things that bring you joy. Fill the space up with things that make you feel happy, peaceful, content, blessed, love. Fill that space back up with those things that feel aligned to you, that fell aligned to your desires. Goddess. Fill that space up with a situation, with an ideal situation that feels natural to you, that brings you happiness. Don't worry about the other People, don't worry about the situation, okay? Focus on you. Focus on you right now. What does this situation benefit you out of? Like, how do you benefit from the situation? Fill up that space with those thoughts, okay? You can do this exercise anytime. Just visualize yourself releasing with love and reclaiming your energy, Goddess. And understand you don't have to. You don't have to wish. Karma.

If anyone misappropriately handle you, if anyone did wrong by you, or if you're in a situation that you got in and you realize this is not it for you. You don't have to create any negative response to that. Okay, you don't have to do that. You don't have to go down that route. Just ask for it to be released and to bring you something better, something grander, better than the current situation in your life. I know you've been feeling overwhelmed, you've been feeling overstimulated. With so many options and decisions in the world. Choose you. Choose you, Goddess. With so many options in the world, so many different situations, so many people coming in and out of your life and you don't know if they're gonna stay. You don't know if they're gonna change their mood. You don't know if they're gonna bring drama or chaos. Choose you. Choose you, Goddess. Because you will never disappoint you when you always invest into your happiness, your whole inner being, your well being, your physical, your mental, your spiritual health, like everything, you are the Creator of your own reality. So don't allow other people's energy to come into your own energy. Don't absorb that. Don't absorb that negativity, okay? The world will keep spending around and around. It's up to you to choose where you are devoting your time and energy to so release. Let it go. Let it go. You don't have to beg for it. You don't have to do anything for it. Because what's meant for you will always find you when you're ready to release other people or situations. Uncertainty is no longer in your vocabulary. Fear is no longer in your vocabulary. Courage is in your vocabulary. Faith is in your vocabulary. We are replacing things in situations with something grander, better. And trust. Trust. When you suddenly feel a wave of sadness or fatigue pause, do not go into a spiral of trying to fix it or trying to analyze it or ask yourself like, is this feeling even mine? Don't even go there. Don't even go there. Because one of the most powerful ways that you can choose to stop absorbing other people's energy is to focus on your own energy. Focus on your happiness, okay? If it doesn't bring you happiness, it doesn't get to you, don't invite it. If it doesn't bring you joy, you don't invite it in. If it doesn't bring you bliss, you don't invite it in. If it doesn't bring you money, you don't invite it in. We don't want broke energy around us either, Goddess, okay? We're not absorbing other people's misfortune because you are the fortunate one, you are the golden one, you are the chosen one. We are absorbing our own energy and elevating on this journey. And we're taking everything that is meant for us and we are multiplying it and we're using it to create, to enjoy, to live in our own divine Goddess energy. Goddess, you were never meant to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You were never meant to carry the weight of your friends on your shoulder. You were never meant to carry the weight of your parents or on your shoulder. Whatever it is, situation it is. You are not meant to carry the burdens of others. Your job is to call back your energy and allow good things to happen for you, around you, in you, throughout you. Remember to be kind and gentle with yourself. And I want to leave you with a affirmation that you can repeat throughout the day. Place your hand over your heart and just take a deep breath and breathe and repeat this affirmation. After me. I return to myself with love. I return to myself with love. I return to myself with love. My wish for you is that you love you. You love the journey. You love the present moment and you love you and you release what is not you. And you become whole and happy and content with your own energy. You don't have to overextend your kindness. You don't have to. You don't have to stay long in that situation to deem a good person. You don't have to, because if it doesn't serve you, release it.
