Jasmine (Host of Habits of a Goddess Podcast)
Hey Goddess, Happy Thanksgiving. This year has been so amazing and I want to take the time to express my gratitude of having this amazing support through the podcast Habits of a Goddess and just being surrounded around women who are like minded. Women who take charge of their life and create the life that they desire. When I first started this podcast five and a half years ago, I had no clue how long I was going to be podcasting or like how it was going to turn out. I just knew that I had a purpose, a message, something that was dear to me, my heart that I really wanted to say and communicate and find my community. And sometimes when you're on this journey of personal development, glowing up, it can feel lonely. And during the holidays it can also feel lonely too. If you are estranged from family or maybe you lost loved ones and you just, you know, you feel a little sad or you know you're just glowing up and your whole situation has changed. When it comes to like your family, family dynamics or friends Dynamics, right. And I can relate to a lot of things. I, you know, recently lost my grandmother earlier this year. So this is like the first holiday, like big holiday where I'm like, oh my God, I can't really talk to her or call her or, you know, spend time with her. And I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I have those moments, right, though sad when I'm thinking about her, especially around the holidays. But I wanted to tap into the energy of appreciation and that energy of gratitude. Like be thankful for those who serve their purpose in your life this year, those who you know, you're surrounded around, those of you who you are surrounded around, especially during the holidays. The holidays can be a mix of emotions. It could bring joy, it could bring happiness. It be could can also bring a little sadness. But I hope that you find gratitude during the holidays. I hope that you know that you are love, you are appreciative, you are supported, especially through the Habits of a Goddess podcast. I don't just create these episodes only for myself. I also think about, wow, there's probably somebody out there who have experienced something similar that I've gone through. And I know community is so important. And I also know during the holidays family is also important. And speaking on family, family is not just blood. Family could be, you know, friends. You can create family through your friends. You can create family through a community too as well. So I hope that you find this podcast has been very nurturing and helpful to you, even during times as such as the holidays. I know for many, many years I did spend a lot of holidays and solitude and it wasn't as easy for me. Those who may know or may not know, I lost my parents when I was very young. So I didn't really have like a big family dynamic around the holidays. And it was hard, it was difficult. I found myself grieving and crying. But I also knew that getting myself to a place of contentment, getting myself to a place of peace, feeling peace within my heart, that was going to serve me and help me become the version who you see right here today. And that's what ultimately led me to create Habits of a God's Podcast. I know that there's so many life changing dynamics that happen in our lives and things that are out of our control. And when you're working on yourself and you're doing the inner work and you're healing, sometimes those past events that have happened to maybe in childhood or young adulthood, sometimes it comes up, especially during holidays. But I want you to lean into the energy of love Find someone who you can reach out to and express how much you love and appreciate them. Especially today, if you're watching this podcast episode, even if it's not Thanksgiving, I still want you to reach out and tell them how much you love them. Tell them how much they mean to you. Tell them if they inspire you. Even if it's someone online, right? Even if you find someone online who you've been watching and it's been part of your glow up journey. You know, reach out to them and let them know, like, hey, I appreciate you. I hope you're having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you're having a wonderful holiday. I hope that you are just enjoying your year. I always find that when you pour love not only into yourself, but you put it back out there into the universe, it finds its way back to you. People come into your life for a reason, for a season, sometimes for a lifetime. And while you have those people in your life, and while you have people who you may admire and look up to and feel motivated by, take the time to let them know, like, hey, I appreciate you. I appreciate the work you put out. Whether it's someone who you watch through their makeup and maybe watching them do their makeup is soothing to you, or if you watch someone who does. Who likes to cook, you know, or maybe you watch someone who likes to, you know, create amazing content or give amazing advice on business or just life in general, whatever it is. Or it could be a teacher you have, or it could be someone who you feel inspired and motivated by. Maybe it's a co worker, right? Or maybe it's your partner. Like, take this moment to reach out to them and express how much you are thankful for them. You know, coming into your life and adding value to your life. That's what it's about. Celebrating those who add value to your life. And that value you. You define what that is for you. You define who add value in your life. You define who makes you feel warm when you come around them. And I'm pretty sure you can think of a few people that you feel warm and connected to. You feel loved, you feel adored and appreciated. So take this moment to reach out to those people because we made it this far this year. We have one more month into two, 2025, and then we're going into 2026. And I want you to go into that new year with the energy of love, community, appreciative joy, happiness, contentment, fulfillment, prosperity, oh my God, bliss. Like all of those things, right? I want you to find what brings you so Much joy and happiness in your life. And if it's putting yourself in new environments and people who radiate back into you what you pour into your own self, do that. But not only that, you are showing up and you're saying, hey, I really do admire and appreciate the connection that we have made this year. Just know that that could make someone's day. Just, just reaching out. When, whether it's a hand letter or in person invitation or over the phone, I don't think texting really does make a big impression. So try to connect more in person. I would recommend, or if you could do like a handwritten letter. But during the holidays, definitely reach out to those who have served some goodness into your life, who's brought some joy and happiness and fulfillment of your life. Also, if you find yourself alone during the holidays, I want you to find the nearest charity that you can be a part of. Let me tell you, when you give back, it really does touch something in your heart. If you could spend like one day before this year is over of you taking time, volunteering, giving back and, and really being present, that is going to really like shift your energy. I know that feeling of being alone during holidays. I have had many holidays where I was alone and it took me a minute to realize, like Jasmine, you don't have to be alone during the holidays. You can still celebrate in your own unique way, but you can also find, you know, others to spread some joy. So I encourage you to spread, spread joy into other people's lives during the holidays. Food banks, you know, take time to feed, you know, people who are, you know, in need. You know, do that and, you know, just find whatever is connected to your heart. I'm not here to tell you what you should do, but I'm just here to gently remind you that when you open up your hot chakra, when you open up your mindset to expressing gratitude and love, no matter what your current circumstances may look like, when you open up yourself to that energy, trust and believe. The universe creates a different energy around the holidays for you and people start to show up, people start to show up in your life in a different way. And then you start to see a different perspective in life too as well. So change the perspective. If you've been feeling a little sad or down or alone during the holidays, I want you to find a charity that you can be a part of and give back and sprinkle joy into other people's lives.
