If you had told me when I recorded episode number one of her style podcast that we'd get here celebrating 300 episodes and nearly half a million downloads, I honestly don't know if I would have believed you Back then. It was just me, a microphone, and a big passion for helping women feel confident in what they wear. And a lot of hope that someone somewhere would press play. And now here we are. It's you and me, friend. So today's episode feels really special because this milestone isn't just mine. It truly belongs to you, the woman listening on her walk in the car while getting ready in the morning. This show wouldn't be anything without you choosing to spend your time here and making this what it is. Significant milestones like these call for something extra special. So we're going to take a little walk down memory lane. I'm going to reveal the top episodes and what they've taught me, what I would change. Now looking back, and of course, in typical Her Style fashion, we have a very exciting giveaway with some absolutely incredible prizes you're going to want to get your hands on. Stick around to celebrate 300 episodes, almost 500 downloads, and a whole lot of style insights right after this. Welcome to Her Style Podcast, where we're all about empowering you to show up and get dressed every day with confidence. I'm your host, Heather Riggs, a 15 year and counting certified image consultant and color specialist, ready to build a wardrobe and a personal style you love. Let's get started. What? You have to pinch me today, friend. I cannot believe I'm sitting here recording our 300th episode. What? How? How did we get here? I don't even know. I. I know this is something people say all the time, but I really feel like we just started Her Style Podcast. It was already back in November 2022, and it's funny now because I didn't realize, launching it at that time of the year, that we would end up hitting a significant milestone every single year right around Christ time. So it's been super fun to be able to celebrate first our 100th episode, then last year we had our 200th episode, and now it's our 300th episode during this very magical season. And I have had the joy of being able to give away some amazing gifts to a few of our lucky listeners each year around this time. And 2025 is no different. You will have your chance to win one of three fabulous prizes at the end of today's episode. So please stick around. You do not want to miss that, but first we're going to do a celebrating of this significant milestone 300 episodes. It feels really monumental to me, and I kind of want to start out by having a full circle moment and sharing something that I would maybe go back and change now or that I didn't realize at the time. When I recorded episode number one, the title was the real reason you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. And at that time, I truly believed, and I still do, that a big part of the issue was impulse shopping instead of shopping with intention. And that is still true for many of us. That is a common thread throughout the episodes that we've continued to talk about to date. But what I didn't realize when I first launched the show, and what I guess I couldn't fully see at the time was how many of you weren't shopping impulsively at all. So many of you were actually trying really hard to get this right. You were buying less, you were trying to invest in better pieces. I've worked with a lot of women who culled their wardrobe down to almost nothing. They had a very bare bones, quintessential capsule wardrobe that you see with just a very limited number of pieces. You might have been avoiding shopping altogether, and yet your closet still wasn't working. And what I came to understand through coaching more clients all over the world, through various conversations with listeners, through DMs, and packaging up all of my services into her style collective, what I realized is that for so many of us, the real disconnect wasn't how we were shopping. It was that our lives had evolved and our wardrobes hadn't caught up yet. Your lifestyle has changed, your body has changed, your season of life has changed, but your closet was built for a version of you that no longer exists. And honestly, that realization didn't come from me sitting at my desk trying to figure it out. And I went through the same thing as a mom. I. Well, after I had my son, I've talked about this many times. I went through a major rut with my wardrobe. And after that big transition, but I didn't even realize it at that time. It all came from you. You have taught me just as much over these last three years as I've taught you. And that's been one of the greatest gifts of this podcast. It has been such a joy and really a major transition in my career to be able to connect with thousands of women all over the map, to get to hear your stories, to understand your struggles in a clearer way than I ever did before and to be able to walk alongside you on this style journey, and what an incredible thing to be able to know each other in this way and to be able to connect with each other literally every corner of the world, it's been such a blessing to me. And so every time you press play, every time you share an episode with a friend, every time you leave a review or you send me a message saying, okay, this one felt like you were inside my head or, I needed to hear this today. It really does tell me that this work matters. And so when I saw that we were just inches away from half a million downloads, I was blown away. And we really just skyrocketed this past year. I think last year we celebrated 200 episodes, and we were at about 200,000 downloads, and now we're at 500,000 downloads this year. It's crazy to me, but it doesn't feel like a personal achievement. It feels like our win. And this brand began as Her Style way before I launched the podcast. But her H E R is actually my initials, Heather Elizabeth Riggs. I've probably shared that along the way before, but it was kind of a little nod to my philosophies, obviously, my ownership of the business. But, wow, I really feel like this is yours now. It's never really been about my style, and it's not about me at this stage of the game. It is about her, the woman listening to this episode and where you're headed in your life and how your wardrobe gets to play an important role in that. And so I thought it would be fun to look back at the episodes that you have loved the most, the ones you've downloaded, shared, and come back to again and again. So I wanted to run through a quick list of the top five episodes of all time. And number one and two are actually our fall 2025 and spring 2025 trend episodes, which I love because those episodes were never about trends for trend's sake. They were about helping you translate what's current into your real life, your body, and your style, and then feel empowered to skip the rest. So it's about helping you personalize it and navigate it, and that's really what we're all about here. Episode number three is the seven personal style types and how to find your signature look, which was our second episode ever, and it's still going strong. It's consistently been one of the top downloaded episodes from the beginning, and that tells me how deeply women crave language for their style and permission to trust themselves. We're tired of playing the copycat game? I think we know by now it doesn't work. We want to feel like ourselves and we want the clarity and the descriptions to back that up and make smarter shopping and styling decisions. Number four is shop your closet how to fall back in love with what you already own. And this one makes my heart happy because it's not about buying more, it's about seeing what you already have with fresh eyes. And we're going to do something fun around this topic in the new year, so definitely stay tuned. Hint, hint. You might have a guess of what it's going to be, but no spoilers just yet. And number five is seven Outfit planning habits that will change your mornings forever. Because yes, style isn't just about looking good. It's about making your life feel easier. It's about having simpler mornings, less guesswork when you go to get dressed. And I know that has been one of your top goals from the very beginning, and it still is. So I will link up all of these episodes in the show notes. You can check them out. If you haven't listened to them already, you can see what all the fuss is about. If you have another favorite episode, I would be thrilled to hear what it is. I would invite you to send me a DM over on Instagram at heatherriggstyle. Please let me know. Tell me what your favorite episode has been out of the 300 we've had thus far. And when I look at those episodes together, it's kind of cool because I really do see a clear pattern. And it comes down to three things that I know for sure after recording 300 episodes of her style podcast. The first thing is that most women don't need more clothes. Should I say it louder for everyone in the back? Most women don't need more clothes. They need better alignment. Alignment between their lifestyle, their body and how they want to show up. The second thing is that style confusion often comes from life transitions, not poor taste or bad shopping habits. I know sometimes those things can trickle in. You might have some impulse tendencies, but I will tell you you're not behind and you're not doing it wrong. The likelihood is that your life has just changed and we need your closet to catch up. And the third thing is that the most powerful wardrobes are built with intention and self trust, not rules or restrictions. Confidence does not come from following someone else's formula or copying trends without strategy. It comes from understanding yourself and taking a truly personalized approach to to building your wardrobe and getting dressed. As we head into the next chapter of Her Style. Everything I'm creating is rooted in this deeper understanding and I am literally busting at the seams, I guess not literally. I'm figuratively busting at the seams to reveal that there is a major rebrand coming. Not because we're reinventing who we are, but because we're evolving just like you. It's time for some updates around here. There are also some new additions coming to her style collective in 2026 that will bring even more clarity, EAs and the next level of support. And I'll be sharing more free intentional style content over on the blog and on Instagram. I have not posted consistently in either place. I know I haven't posted on Instagram in more than two years. I think I did a couple of guest podcast things and a summit that I mentioned, but I have not been posting in about two years. I didn't realize how much time had gone by. I needed that break for sure. But I'm feeling really inspired. I'm ready to share more teaching, more real life applications, and more ways for you to feel confident getting dressed every day. So I think it's the new branding. It's so fun. And while I love doing the podcast and this is not going anywhere, we're going to continue to put these episodes out for you. I'm also feeling ready to do even more visual ideas beyond what I'm sharing in the weekly emails via Instagram and of course on the blog in 2026. We are always thinking of the best ways to serve and encourage you and I can't wait for what's to come. So just a couple little teasers, lots exciting things happening over here and my goal is to make the next 300 episodes even better and more impactful. So obviously please let me know what you want to hear more of on the show because this is your show and I want to give you everything that you need and more right here. And since this show exists because of you, I wanted to celebrate this milestone in a special way. So for the holidays, for hitting 300 episodes and close to half a million downloads, I'm hosting a little giveaway just for you. It's not little, it's actually really big.
