Substance use disorder and addiction is so isolating. And so, as a black woman in recovery, hope must be loud. It grows louder when you ask for help and you're vulnerable. It is the thread that lets you know that no matter what happens, you will be okay.
Herman Schrader
When we learn the power of hope recovery is possible, find out how@startwithhope.com brought to you by the National Council for Mental well Being, Shatterproof and the AD Council. Herman Schrader on the Dirty Mo Media platform. We are both in the middle of America in St. Louis, Missouri, and it starts right now. The following is a production of Dirty Mo Media. I'm looking at Kenny Schrader right now.
Kenny Schrader
He is a drinker in the show. I mean.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. How in the world did we agree to do a podcast?
Kenny Schrader
I like spending time with you.
Herman Schrader
That makes me happy.
Kenny Schrader
Well, it's all about making you happy.
Herman Schrader
We're always.
Kenny Schrader
Hon, we don't know that we're not in trouble already. And sometimes truthful. What makes you think you're not a little different?
Herman Schrader
You're weird, too, Herman Schrader.
Kenny Schrader
I need a minute. I just. I put a map up for where we do the Federated play dates, you know, so when we're figuring out next trip, it's easy to see what tracks we've been to.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Blue for dirt tracks, orange for pavement tracks. And I just looked at my map because it's right across from me and it still says Golf of Mexico. So I need to go. I need to go fix that pretty quick.
Herman Schrader
Go. Go. Put Gulf of America.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
As soon as the show's over, get.
Kenny Schrader
A new sticker made. Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Oh, hey, I like that T shirt. That's just one of my favorite races.
Kenny Schrader
That race is pretty cool.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. The Ironman 55. And I think the world of outlaw, especially Kyle Larson. He. He loves. He loves i55. That's a loss there.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's their longest race of the year as far as laps.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. I think Knoxville's 50 laps now. They got a couple 50 lappers. I think. But that's their longest race as far as laps. But they did it in 10 minutes and something a couple years ago without a yellow.
Herman Schrader
What is. What is a qualifying time for the sprint cars? Wing sprint cars.
Kenny Schrader
995 or 998. Might be 995. His track record. Kyle has it like two years ago, I think.
Herman Schrader
Now you're taking me way back. We ran a summer national race at our old track, Macon Speedway. Right. And well, we decided to go on home when our modified race was over. And we load up and they're still getting ready to run a hundred lap race.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, yeah.
Herman Schrader
We get up the road and they went green to checkered that year and it was over in 10 minutes, 100 laps.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. Yep. Making Illinois. That's fifth mile. It's pretty cool.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Okay, well, let's get Herman Schrader going. We do have a lot to get to, so we are going to kind of. I'm not saying we're going to go fast, but it's just everything that happened, it was a big, big weekend.
Kenny Schrader
But it's getting race season. You know, it's going to keep getting more and more busy. I mean, we got races now, but not like we're gonna have in June, July and August.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, man, I'll tell you. And it's getting ready to get like 75. We'll be touching 80 over the next three days. Is that that fake summer where it will start snowing in three weeks? You know, it does it every year.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. You. You don't want to. You don't want to de winterize everything just yet because there's more coming.
Herman Schrader
Isn't that something how it trains us? It will do it. I remember one year, Kim and I, it got to be like 90 degrees and we're like, let's open this pool up. We open it up like the next week it was snowing in the swimming pool.
Kenny Schrader
So we ran a. We ran a world outlaw show on a Friday night at Grant City. Went up to with Siva Kings chartered low plane flew up, ran USC Stockholm race at Trent, New Jersey. Oh, that's where your brother got black flagged by the state police. Oh, not by usec. By the police for not having gloves on. And it's a New Jersey state law that you have to have gloves on which they inspect all the race cars. The state does. He got black flagged for not wearing gloves. And we flew back and knocked landing gear off plane with snow that had got piled up because it snowed Saturday. And that was, that was April 1st.
Herman Schrader
You. You left St. Louis thinking you were okay because you got done.
Kenny Schrader
We ran Saturday, Friday night. Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Come back. Oh my God. Yeah. Hey, I, I do remember that, that Trent, New Jersey race, that racetrack. I never raced there. Didn't the back straightaway have a right hand turn in it?
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, they called dog leg, but it was a friggin right hand turn.
Herman Schrader
It's crazy.
Kenny Schrader
You came off two and you went you. And then you hooked a right.
Herman Schrader
That's nuts.
Kenny Schrader
It's kind of like a. Not quite a 45, but similar. Close.
Herman Schrader
Wow.
Kenny Schrader
And then you had a big left hand turn up the other end.
Herman Schrader
I'll be darn.
Kenny Schrader
But anyway, what are we supposed to talk about?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, well, I mean, I don't even think we need a.
Kenny Schrader
We don't need a show.
Herman Schrader
No, we're doing good.
Kenny Schrader
No.
Herman Schrader
Okay. We try to start again. That's how it goes, everybody. We have good stuff. Okay, Herman Schrader starts right now. What, what did you do over the weekend, Kenny?
Kenny Schrader
I hopped in my little Sonoma pickup. Don't ask me why. Instead of going to the airport and 950 miles down to Amelia Island.
Herman Schrader
Oh my gosh. Yes.
Kenny Schrader
To the concourse event down there.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Got to be a judge Saturday. Unbelievable. The, the amount of cars and the quality of cars. I mean they had auction down there too and there's cars that, you know, I walked through before the auction and there said, you know, this one they think is going to go from, you know, there's some 5 and $600,000 cars, but then there, this one will be 10 to 12 million and stuff.
Herman Schrader
My lord.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. So I didn't even go in the room because I didn't want to make any chance, take any chance of waving to somebody I knew or anything like that. Oh, but it's just a phenomenal event. Hagerty Insurance heavily involved with it or I don't know if they actually do it or not, but spent some time, met a lot of neat people and spent some time with the Ray Abraham and stuff and just a lot of fun.
Herman Schrader
Did they celebrate an individual this year?
Kenny Schrader
Helio.
Herman Schrader
Oh, Helio.
Kenny Schrader
Helio Castro Nevis. I never got to see Helio, but he was the who they were celebrating this year.
Herman Schrader
I'll be darn. That's awesome. Well, you know what I did after Herman Schrader last week? I stayed in Daytona. I. I did leave Thursday. I was at bike week. Rusty sure was happy. You two haven't seen each other in a while.
Kenny Schrader
It's been a while.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. So I had a great time at bike week. It's funny because the Wallace team is a lot different. You know, used to be where I could only be. I could only. Now this is funny, okay. I could only be around Rusty and Steven for max three or four days because they're competitors and they. They talk about building those bikes, you know, and what they got to be like and how. How should you know, customer service. And they'll. They used to get into some knockdown drag outs and I'm like, I'm leaving. But they. They've just got it figured out now and boy, it was a pleasure. And the big change is aunt Patty was down there, you know, my sister in law, Rusty's wife and a referee. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. That was good. Patty was down there and, you know, they got a beautiful home and they were cooking at night and. But I really had a good time in Kenny. Those, Those bikes down there, I mean, it's. It's getting to be where, okay, the bikes are awesome, you know, and of course they raced at Daytona Speedway and man, do they got some drafting techniques. I mean, they will race each other and I mean the last football field, a guy from six will win it. You know, bike week's a lot of fun and I had a good time.
Kenny Schrader
Those. The. The baggers gotta make the draft. So much more important with the draft on those bikes is big anyway, but with those bags and stuff, that draft on them baggers has got to be bigger.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, it's. It's not like they're looking to be aerodynamic with the bags hanging off the back of the bike. Yeah, I agree with that. That's a good point, Kenny. Before we get rolling, we want to remind everybody Dirty Mo Media has launched a new E Commerce merchandise line. And they've got some awesome Herman Schrader merchandise. And I showed you. People are already wearing our shirt. It looks good. And visit shop.merdirtymomedia.com Let me try that again. Visit shop.dirtymomedia.com to check out the Herman Schrader merchandise.
Kenny Schrader
So, yeah, they said they sold a shirt.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that's pretty cool. Okay. Man, oh, man. This. We're going to talk about the cup race, we're going to talk about the Xfinity race, and then we're going to get into just hot topics and a lot of fun. I'm just going to say this. There's so much to unpack about the cup race, but why don't you just start? I mean, you want to go right there to finish or where you want to go?
Kenny Schrader
Well, first off, the General, the weekend, both days made me happy because nobody parked anybody or knocked anybody out of the way to win a race. Yeah, both. You know, the cup race, Bell smoked in there pretty good.
Herman Schrader
Mm.
Kenny Schrader
And if there's any problems at all, if he gets into Hamlin big time and they both go up track, Kyle's right there to potentially steal the victory. And Bell, I mean, they got together a little bit, but Bell could smoke in there a little harder, knowing that if he slipped, he had four more tires just a foot away, you know, they were going to help hold him. And, you know, it was. It was just. It was just good. And to see the. Now, if I was a competitor, I would not like the option tire. It's like, really, you got more. More junk to throw at us. But working in the shop with the TV blasting. Yeah, I like the option tire. That was. That was pretty neat to see what some guys did with them. And you could tell, like Logano, that had to use his option one set of his option tires earlier, it hurt him. It hurt him for later. But, you know, I wouldn't want that if I was a competitor. I wouldn't. Don't give me more stuff to worry about. But I. I thought it was a great, great race.
Herman Schrader
It was awesome to see Goodyear. I tell you what, Kenny, and we're going to talk about this. I'm not going to give it up right now. Let me. Let me just say this. I want to give my opinion on NASCAR right now. They, you know, what is the difference? Why has this year been off to, I deem one of the best starts? We keep talking about it. You're like, certainly next week's not going to be as good as this week, but I'm just going to say next week.
Kenny Schrader
Why not?
Herman Schrader
My God, they're just. They're just crushing it.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. I mean, but, I mean, we don't know what it's going to be. I mean, it.
Herman Schrader
They are. They are off to, you know, one of the best starts, like I've always said. And I think the weather. I mean, we got to go back, and we've already talked about it, but remember, we just came off of a barn burner finish at Circuit of the America. I mean, you know, that was a hell of a race. This was a hell of a race. It's. It's. I mean, we can always find something that we don't like, but, boy, it's getting pretty hard right now. I. I don't see the next gen car Getting stuck in the grass quite yet. We still got the. We still got the grass at Vegas coming up, but we're starting to run out of excuses. It's good even though.
Kenny Schrader
Even though everybody, and not everybody, because we still got, you know, the. The few, the whatever percentage that, you know, can complain about stuff, but that's okay as long as they're watching it, so they can complain. Yeah, but, you know, I don't. I mean, this year's been phenomenal, but I don't think it's been head and shoulders above. Above other years. It's just. Everyone's not complaining as much, you know, but. Oh, yeah, it's been good. But we've had. We've had some good races for, you know, since. We've had this because we had good races since they started nascar, but since this car, it's. We've really had some bar and burners.
Herman Schrader
Oh, kind of like you, you know, you get to see Mr. Mike Helton every once in a while. I got lucky. Total coincidence. I'm leaving Daytona Beach. I'm getting on one of the. Those little, you know, compact jets. American, yeah. I sit down and Steve Phelps sits right next to me. I'm like, wow, you know, this is this pretty big course. You would have been proud of me. I stayed calm and I just congratulated him. I said, man, what a start to the year.
Kenny Schrader
And so what Steve think about. I mean, what's. What's his take?
Herman Schrader
He was very happy. Nascar, Steve Phelps is very, very happy right now. They got it going on. Of course, he didn't say that. I just said, steve, congratulations. And at that time, he already knew. He said, we got a little weather moving in. Like a true promoter, but yet he's the president. It was like, you know, I left Daytona on Thursday and, you know, it did rain. This is how lucky NASCAR's been getting, Kenny. It rained all day Friday in Phoenix. I mean, it rained them out. And they. They lined the ARCA race up Friday night by points. The rain did leave, but he knew Steve Phelps. You know, Steve's not going to mind me saying this, but Steve's like. I said, steve, congratulations. I said, man, what a start to the year. I said, those TV ratings looking good. Racings are good. He responds. He goes, oh, got a little rain moving in tomorrow. Should. It should move out. Spoken like a true promoter, you know, but he smiled the whole time.
Kenny Schrader
He should.
Herman Schrader
He was pleasant and so shout out to Steve Phelps. Kenny talks to Mike Helton every once in a while. I was lucky to See, Steve Phelps and I flew with him all the way to Charlotte and then he was going his way. Of course I was going my way. But yeah, okay, I think it's fair to say. Yep.
Kenny Schrader
Not. Not every event. Not every event. And I'm not talking just racing here. I mean, you know, my knowledge about other sports, which is very, very slim. Not every event is a home run. I mean, super bowl this year was not a home run.
Herman Schrader
Not good.
Kenny Schrader
You know, I mean, it was. I mean, it's a game, it's a race, it's a game, it's what? Whatever. But they're not all going to be spectacular. But we've had some really good ones.

Herman Schrader
Okay, we're gonna spend a little more time on Phoenix here, then we'll give you all. I got the rundown right here, but. All right, Christopher Bell wins. Of course. It's a barn burn over finish. There are two, basically three wide if you include Kyle Larson, but you got two teammates. You know, it looks like Bell's gonna win it. We get that caution. They reckon at the end there they got to throw the caution. Blown motor, whatever it was. Stuff's all over the track.
Kenny Schrader
So the last one was Catherine. Catherine Legg. Oh, yeah, she got into Josh Ferry. No. Oh, Sanchez, wasn't it?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, he hit him. Daniel Suarez got him.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, Suarez.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, but okay, so we're coming to the start finish line. We got. We got Denny Hamlin on the outside giving his teammate all the room he can. They go flying up the track and turns three and four. Bell sails it in there. He's kind of, you're thinking he's gonna knock the hell out of him. Kenny. I don't know if you watched the replay over and over. I really didn't. But if he touched him, it was light and there was no talk about it. And then here comes Larson. So they didn't. They didn't, you know, destroy each other. Man, that finish, you know, yeah, it was great.
Kenny Schrader
It was. It was great. And, and, you know, Larson smokes down there and hugs the bottom, thinking, okay, if anything happens, those cars are going that way, you know, they're. They're not going to come before they. They're going to slide to the right before they go to the left, you know, so I'm going to smoke down the under, you know, just. Just in case. But yeah, well, just great.
Herman Schrader
After the race, TV asked Denny Hamlin, they said, denny, Christopher Bell has won three in a row. This is very rare. What is going on with, with Christopher Bell? Why is he won three in a row? Just. Just a fun question. Denny Hamlin says, man, he goes, I'm not, you know, all into their team. I am. I'm all into my team. I know what my team's doing. You know, it could just be a load of everything, but Denny Hamlin just said it right. You know, they just. They just got it going on right now. It's. But. But Christopher Bell, Kenny, you know, Atlanta's this big super speedway track. Then we go to a road course track, then we go to Phoenix. So it is fair to say it's true. Christopher Bell has won three in a row on three complete different type disciplines. He's got it going on.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, and that's. That's before you even add in winning the Tulsa, too. Oh, yeah, the Shootout deal. Yeah, that's. That's a little bit different, too.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
B2B track. A little bit of car.
Herman Schrader
Fair to say he pretty safe. They said on tv. And I liked what Clint Boyer said. Right now, Christopher Bell is world class status. Do you. Do you have a year that you remember? Like, like, boy, this is my. Mine was 1994, the red dog car. I won three Xfinity races, you know, that was my best. Do you. Do you remember a year, will you. And play along? Was there a year that you go, wow, that was a pretty good year?
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, we had a couple pretty good years. They weren't always in cup though. You know, our best year in cup was points. Points was 94, but, man, 94 is best year. And I milked that job till 2013.
Herman Schrader
That's a Mikey Walters, Christopher Bell born 1994. So 2000.
Kenny Schrader
Do the math.
Herman Schrader
Minus. I'm doing it right now. 1994 equals.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, he's at. He's 25 and 6.
Herman Schrader
Truth. Oh, you know what? I did. I messed up. Hold on. Okay, 20, 25 minus 1994 equals. He's 31. Okay, 31. So he's over 30 now. But here he is 31 years old and he's won three races in a row. Okay, so he. He's already won. He's already matched his total last year. Last year he won three races total. So my question to you is this Vegas, you know, Vegas, I think was the track. He. He had Vegas one last year. But. But Joey Logano stayed out on gas mileage. And if. If you remember, I think it was the last race at. Yeah, remember, Joey won it put him in the playoffs. But Christopher Bell dominated. Vegas dominated and Joey stays out. So. Okay, let's just have fun. We just having fun. Can he do it?
Kenny Schrader
Turn us over, turn us off? Right. You know, they. They talk about those years of someone winning seven, eight, nine races. You know, them are a long time ago, years ago.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, maybe.
Kenny Schrader
Maybe they're not. Who knows? You know? But yeah, I mean, it's the fact that it was on three different type tracks that he's already won is huge. That's big.
Herman Schrader
And, and in reality, I think you and I will agree on this. Vegas will be the first, you know, intermediate track because Atlanta, that's suit. So we are going to the first. And. And NASCAR has not had a problem on these intermediate tracks. They have been exciting. So I think it's safe to say, Kenny, that Chris, all eyes on deck. This week. They're going to see if Christopher can win four in a row.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. And everyone else is going to try to win one in a row.
Herman Schrader
One. Oh, they're going to be coming after.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, yeah.
Herman Schrader
All right. Something that got hid that I didn't hear them talk about. And we'll wrap Phoenix up like this. I want to hear what you think. Joe Gibbs racing complete domination because in the ARCA race on Friday night, their car, Brent Cruz wins. Then on Saturday, the. In the Xfinity race, Eric Amarola wins. Then Christopher Bell wins Sunday. Man, Joe Gibbs had a dream weekend.
Kenny Schrader
Okay. Complete domination. Now, I know the ARCA race had a one lap or green white checker or whatever.
Herman Schrader
Actually all three races did, if you stop think about it, right?
Kenny Schrader
But yeah, complete domination. So this Saturday race, Amarillo beat a Hendrick car by. However, you know what, whatever time that is, whatever Amount of time which we. We could look that up with the official win. And then if you go to Sunday, he beats a Hendry car because his is Gibbs team car was second, but he beats the Hendry car, which is third by, you know, it's in that photo. Come across the line because his front ends right there. So complete by. By how much total time over the weekend? I mean, I'm saying yes, they. Complete domination. They did. They did great. But just to show how close it is, that complete domination was like, you know, way under. Way under a half a second or.
Herman Schrader
So, you know, and to me it's like, are you kidding me? All three races. The ARCA race has a late race caution. The xfinity race has a late race caution. Our. Our hero, Justin's going to win it, obviously.
Kenny Schrader
Well, if they. If it wouldn't have been as long as it was. Yeah, yeah, that's what you know.
Herman Schrader
But all three races had this green white checkered. That. That's. That's pretty. What is it about the end? Everybody wrecks.
Kenny Schrader
Well, they're getting ready to pay. They're getting right. They're getting ready to pay and they're going to give that trophy to somebody. So everybody's like, oh, if I'm going to do something, I got to do it now.
Herman Schrader
I better wreck now.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, we can't.
Herman Schrader
We can't wreck. If you're going to wreck, wreck when it matters.
Kenny Schrader
So I don't think I got a wreck now, but I got to make my hero move right now.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. All right. The one last question about the races at Phoenix. You and I have done a lot of racing there. Maybe not on the new one, but turns. What is now turns one and two used to be our turns three and four. You and I did race on this layout, but what is going on changed nothing.
Kenny Schrader
I mean, they.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Put pavement on the inside on the back straight away and they moved the wall out off too.
Herman Schrader
What is going on? Yeah, but what is going on down there in three and four, they're racing clear down by the motorhomes in terms.
Kenny Schrader
Of one always didn't want at Phoenix. I mean, if you really. I mean, that's where it was and it looks different now because they moved the wall out.
Herman Schrader
Okay. Man, they wrecked the wall.
Kenny Schrader
Didn't used to be the wall didn't used to be down there. The wall was way far away. We're still running the same place as the racetrack. Bottom's the bottom.
Herman Schrader
Did you see that wreck coming off of turn two? There was four of Them and Chase Briscoe launched over Justin Haley's tire. And it's because they was coming. They all had to get back on the racetrack, is my point. Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Well, three of them were in trouble.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
And the one on the inside was that. Was that Gibbs? Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Now I think that was that Tyler. I think it was Herbs maybe or Ty Gibbs.
Kenny Schrader
Herbs got. When they interviewed him, they showed his in car camera. He said they were wrecking in front of me. Yeah, I think it was Gibbs. It's like, excuse me. I. I need to get. I need to get up there a little bit. I'll be, I'll be moving up. But they were already in trouble by themselves when he finished them off.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, the pit wall was coming up. He was. He either. He was in the race and he either had to go down pit road or get up on the racetrack. So. All right. It's a very laney. There's. Wherever the asphalt is, they're racing, there's a lane. Yeah, it is exciting.
Kenny Schrader
There's no out of bounds at Phoenix. Everything's in bounds.
Herman Schrader

Herman Schrader
Okay, moving on, moving on. But we're still at Phoenix. We're going to stay focused on this subject. Nascar and Goodyear. Okay, so NASCAR tells Goodyear what they want to accomplish. Think you agree with that. So Goodyear gave the teams, give them nine sets, gave him two Sets of tires called the option tire, soft tire. But this tire, you know, we saw them try to do this last year at Richmond, but it's like, still not. It still ain't making a difference this time. This option tower, they're giving you two sets for the. Use them. Use them wisely. Yeah. Total of nine sets. We're giving you two sets of tires that, like, are really fast and they will wear out, and the normal tire will. Will be faster in about 40, 50 laps. I thought it was like a video game, because you saw, you know, I'm just gonna lay it out, Kenny. And then you comment for people that don't know. Joey Logano jumped a restart. They put him at the back at the last minute.
Kenny Schrader
He clipped the line.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, I'm glad you said that. I didn't know what that was about.
Kenny Schrader
He, he, he clipped the line, which they showed the video. Yeah. Because, you know, you can't. There's no, there's no getting by with anything anymore, which is good, you know, which is, Is good. But he, he, he ran the left sides over the line. Not by much, but he did. Not by much, but on. On the line.
Herman Schrader
So this option tire is like a get out of jail tire. It's like, we're down a lap, were in trouble, put them on, and. Oh, my God, Joey McConnell. It's like everybody truly. The old cliche. Everybody else was truly sitting still.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
And this tire, he went past Christopher Bell and he went 70 laps on it. And then it did give up.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. But, you know, and, And Joey did such a good job, and his crew did, too. Of. Okay, you got to get there. You got to use this tire to get back up there and get away from him and then check up and just maintain. You know, I think he got like a second and a half or something out in front of him.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
And then they just, he slowed up to their speed, which was easy to do because tire was probably giving up. But that tire went, I think, a lot longer. Competitive, I mean, had that edge a lot longer. More laps than. Than people probably thought it was going to, you know, was able to run it that long.
Herman Schrader
Oh, yeah, I agree. And, and at the end, Joey Logano had no option tires left, which was the soft tire, and he faded back to 14th. Now, I'm going to say this, and I'm. And you say what you want to say.
Kenny Schrader
Thanks.
Herman Schrader
I, I just gotta say this because I feel this way. What is being shown out there is that Goodyear can control the competition. It's just my Opinion.
Kenny Schrader
Every single adjustment you do to the car, springs, shocks, and all your wheel weights, arrow, anything, anything you do. The only part of the car that touches the track is the tires. You know, so did you just, did.
Herman Schrader
You just agree with me?
Kenny Schrader
Well, that's. I, I agree with you a lot when you're not screwed up.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Right.
Kenny Schrader
But no, yeah, Goodyear can do that. They've always had the ability to do that. But that's a fine line. It's a fine line you're playing with. Goodyear does a phenomenal job and they, they catch hell from competitors and the fans and everything over the years and, you know, lots of times. But, ugh, that's. That's a no win situation. If, if it's perfect, it's like, well, you just did your job. You know, you didn't excel. You just did your job.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Well, congratulations to nascar. How's that in Goodyear? I mean, congratulations to Goodyear because last year they had that option tire at Richmond and I. And, and it wasn't soft enough. Yeah, this time they got it right.
Kenny Schrader
But it's, it's great. But if you were a competitor, you know, hey, another thing you said that the tire, it's like a get out of jail card, which it was. I mean, went from back to the lead. He got a stage points.
Herman Schrader
You know, I don't remember if you forgot about that. You're right.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, yeah. Which is huge now. I mean, winning a stage. I don't remember if he won the stage or finished second.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, he, he won it.
Kenny Schrader
Okay.
Herman Schrader
Bell got to him, but it was 10 points.
Kenny Schrader
So that's, that's 10 positions at the end of the race. So he did. What they had the option to do with that tire problem was he needed to get out of jail cards at the end of the race. And he only had one because he had already used one. But the. Like I said, working in the shop with it on the big tv. Yeah, I loved watching those tires.
Herman Schrader
You make every short track racer happy. Because that is what we do, right? It's Sunday. We got time. You know, the local racer, he's working Monday. We're thinking the local racers at his job. But Sunday we're going to work on our race car and we got the. When the TV gets real loud, we all get up and run over to the tv.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, I might, truth be known, I might have been messing with the motorcycles more than I was. Race car. They don't let me mess with the race car much.
Herman Schrader
And you just gave me the material because I'm pretty, I'm pretty positive I knew what you meant. But just a shout out to the local racers that do work on their car on Sunday with the cup race. And they do tell me that, you know, I know, I know they do the same thing to you. They'll come up to me, you know, just a little bitter that they're not in nascar. But they'll say, they'll ask, you know, they'll want to know what you, what do you think of that option tire, you know. Oh, so you are watching, you know, it's exciting and. Okay, that's it with the, the tires. I think we wrap that up. Let's. Let's go on. Let's go backwards on Saturday there. You know, sometimes I think people get emotional because the finish is not the way they wanted it, but so it.
Kenny Schrader
Used to really aggravate me when didn't finish like I wanted. It still does.
Herman Schrader
Okay, everybody, we are. We are going to Saturday's Xfinity race. There are some people that started, they were upset coming. Coming to the finish. Going into turn three, Alex Bowman's leading the race. And Alex Bowman after the race says, I decided to enter turn three high, run high. But boy, he opened up that whole bottom for Eric Amarolo. Go ahead.
Kenny Schrader
He kept. He made it so Eric didn't have to open it up himself.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, yeah.
Kenny Schrader
That way Eric didn't have to. Didn't have to nudge him because he was already up there. So he gave him a chance because.
Herman Schrader
Alex knew that he was going to get hit going into three because Eric. Yeah. So Goodman. Okay, so here's what I want to say. Is this wrong or right? Here's what I'm going to ask you. Is it wrong or right? They come off the corner, you clearly see Eric get sideways, but now he says, the hell with it. And they just body slam each other. It. And Eric wins a race. Should I give my opinion first or you going to go?
Kenny Schrader
Well, it's not the way I grew up racing. Yeah, but it's the way racing is now. Nobody, nobody was turned around in the outside wall with the front or the back knocked off their car like the last three years.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. So it's a different. It's, it's. It's what they do now. They use each other up a little bit, but that's. Man, this is. It's nothing new. You know, it goes back forever. It's just more prominent now.
Herman Schrader
What was the difference? Let's go back a handful. Well, long time ago now. It's Hard to believe this. Okay, rick. The Southern 500. Darlington, Ricky Craven, Kurt Busch, they're banging into each other, but they don't run into the wall for the. For the win at the Southern 500. Okay. I just. I just feel like it was a hell of a race. It was a good finish. All fair. I like that finish. That. That's my opinion. But was there. Was there any difference to that Southern 500 finish?
Kenny Schrader
They were. They were trying to. I don't see much difference. They were just trying to win the race. Nobody. They're just both doing what they got to do the last. Last turn to win the race, short of wrecking the other guy.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. So it's.
Kenny Schrader
It's okay.
Herman Schrader
I thought it was right.
Kenny Schrader
And you. You remember that. You know, it's. You know, I didn't get wrecked, but if I gotta use somebody up a little bit, you know, I can do that.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Okay. We both agree that it was right. Okay.
Kenny Schrader
Well, I don't say it was right. It's just the way it is. It was. Okay.
Herman Schrader
Charlie says that on my little notes here, and I'm way behind on this. Christopher Bell is 30. I know. I just went back 15 minutes. I said, because his birthday's not yet. So Christopher Bell is 30. There. We. We made a. Wrong or right. Thank you, Charlie. I don't know why I get these notes right here, but I don't ever pay attention to them. And boom. I'm gonna. I'm gonna get better at that.
Kenny Schrader
That's why you're. That's why it says Herman Schrader. Because you got to do the majority of the work.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Yeah. Well, you need. You need to start opening the show up. You're gonna. You're gonna do that soon.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, someday.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Right. You are going to.
Kenny Schrader
Yes.
Herman Schrader
You're getting to where we know what to say. All right. This is for fun, what I'm going to say right now.
Kenny Schrader
You think we're doing this to be serious.
Herman Schrader
Okay. It's not funny, though. It's horrible, actually.
Kenny Schrader
Okay.
Herman Schrader
But it's just. We gotta acknowledge it.
Kenny Schrader
Serious. I'm gonna be serious.
Herman Schrader
Okay. So, you know, in St. Louis, we got channel 11, and that is the CW affiliate here in St. Louis, and that channel 30 or channel 11. So, you know, we got ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and now the Xfinity races are on the CW channel. And. And I believe that is channel 30 or 11 here. Okay. In Atlanta, this is the Xfinity race, the Atlanta affiliate. Not nothing to do with us, but Atlanta, Georgia, and that's thousands of people. On the white flag lap for the Xfinity race, the Atlanta CW affiliate went to commercial. Oh, God, it was horrible. People were chewing my ass out. I'm like, what did I do? Took me a long time to figure out that everybody else in America saw the finish. Atlanta. The Atlanta people, Philly, they didn't see the finish.
Kenny Schrader
They saw the race a couple weeks before.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, well, let me put my glasses on here. I'm going to read this statement because I thought it was just good content for today. Now, I admit everybody, okay? After the CW's Atlanta affiliate station mistakenly cut to commercial break during the last lap of the Xfinity race, the CW said that it has been assured by the affiliate that the mistake won't happen again. Here is their apology. Kenny. We appreciate that our affiliates are still learning the power of our new programming and the implications that has for serving our collective viewers. Our local affiliate in Atlanta has acknowledged a mistake in prematurely ending coverage of yesterday's NASCAR Xfinity series race, and we have been assured this will not happen again. We will continue to work closely with our affiliates to ensure that the. The entire NASCAR Xfinity series continues to receive the premium treatment racing fans deserve. And that is the statement from the CW network. So how mad would you be if. If they're side by side and the white flags in there and went to commercial break?
Kenny Schrader
I'd be pretty. I'd be pretty aggravated that that wouldn't be good. But let me tell you, my TV deal, okay? So, you know, we moved like a year ago to another place on the. On the property, and we have smart TV now.
Herman Schrader
Oh, boy. That's all you gotta say.
Kenny Schrader
The shop has Dish still. If I got to watch something, I got to go to the shop. Because the smart TV only is smart. I mean, the TV's smart, but that means you got to be smart to operate it.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, yeah.
Kenny Schrader
And, yeah, my. My viewing ability is pretty limited.
Herman Schrader
Oh, at the house and all these bed and breakfast places now, all these, you know, Airbnbs, they don't pay for Dish or any of that stuff. They put a smart TV up there, and then it's up to us to, like, if you want to watch YouTube, well, then you go to that. That TV and you put your own code in. That's the way they get away from paying for any. You know, when you stay somewhere, you want to turn the TV on. You want it to work. So these Airbnbs now, what they're doing, Kenny, they're putting that thing about Airbnbs well, yeah. Well, they're putting these TVs on the screen. You. You go to Hulu or wherever, you put in your own code because, you know, you got your own app and you know, all that, all those, all those smart TVs are. Is your phone bolted on the wall? That's all that is.
Kenny Schrader
I don't have a debit card because of that code thing.
Herman Schrader
Oh, yeah, Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
I mean, yeah.
Herman Schrader
You don't have a debit card? You don't have a debit card?
Kenny Schrader
No, I got a billfold.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that's true.
Kenny Schrader
Why do I need a debit card?
Herman Schrader
In case you need money. Cash.
Kenny Schrader
What's in the billfold?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, it should be money. So you're saying you always have money?
Kenny Schrader
Well, I'm not saying I have always had. Well, if I'm leaving, if I'm going someplace.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, we're going to Vegas, so we're going to have money. That's for sure.
Kenny Schrader
You're going to take money?
Herman Schrader
We're going to take money.
Kenny Schrader
You might come back just with your debit card.
Herman Schrader
Oh, I told Kim, I said, okay, we're going to take this much, but, you know, let's try to come back here. O2 can set it right. He said, I, he said I'd while, you know, fold up $20. And I said, why do you fold up $20 and put it in your wallet? He said, so I can get my car out of parking.
Kenny Schrader
I won't do it anymore.
Herman Schrader
Okay, that's it, everybody. We are really going to turn the corner hard. And this is where we have changed the show up. And we told you this last week. But again, yeah, this Phoenix race we had, you know, when you get, when you get a weekend like that, that is a, you know, that's a big deal.
Kenny Schrader
Hey, so let me ask. Going back Phoenix.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
To the Xfinity race. I was listening there. That last restart did Justin with it enthusiasm getting.
Herman Schrader
It's one of those deals where. And you'll know what I mean, like you're cleaning your tires off and they drop the green flag. You think you're good and for some reason your stuff don't turn and everybody else's does. It could be the shock package, whatever he smoked down in. But here's the difference. He's. He's the leader now. He's got everybody, you know, as they. We used to say he got no air on his spoiler now because they're all on his butt. And he went from the bottom. I mean. And guess who was on his outside, Eric Amarola. And Eric, you know, with the peripheral vision, it's like, oh, my God, Justin's taking me, taking me, taking me. Justin Allgart slid all the way across Kenny. I mean, you know, all the way. And then four cars went by him.
Kenny Schrader
Did he clear them? I mean, like, he cleared.
Herman Schrader
No, no, no. That was it.
Kenny Schrader
He took Eric up there too.
Herman Schrader
He took Eric up there. But the track is so clean all the way to the wall. There's no marbles.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
So Eric. Eric was able to keep racing all the way at the wall and cleared Justin. And Justin's still gathering his stuff up because he, you know, he's turning right as he's entering the corner because they're. They're all on his rear and, you know, quote unquote, taken their office spoiler. But his car did not stick. And that has happened to me before on restarts. It's like, why did that just happen to me? You know, in other words, you know, all the other starts, I was good. But that start, Justin Augar's car did not stick. And he. He was either loose or push. And all I know is he went all the way across the corner and everybody, you know, three cars went on the inside and Eric on the outside, and. And Justin was visibly upset after the race.
Kenny Schrader
You know, got clean air on the front and nowhere on the back.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
So it turned good, but I just didn't want to turn it because I was gonna.
Herman Schrader
No balance. Yeah. They're like, why didn't you turn left? Because if I did. Because I was gonna spin out.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
But, yeah, so that's a good question. Because we love Justin and he was def. He's definitely got it going on at Phoenix. Every. Every time he goes there, he runs good. Wasn't that delicious? So good. Your bill, ladies. I got it. No, I got it.

Herman Schrader
Okay, changing lanes. Dale Earnhardt Jr. And Amy Earnhardt, they have a show that's called Bless yous Heart, but Hart is H A R D T. Kind of like Earnhardt. Bless your heart. You know, the end of the Earnhardt name. But. But it. Bless your heart is as you and I know. It's a. It's meant as an insult. In other words, when you're dumb, people down south go, oh, bless your heart, you dumb.
Kenny Schrader
Bless his heart.
Herman Schrader
So this show, they just. They just. And Amy is ruthless. She is funny. He goes after him with both barrels sometimes where I'm like, oh, you know. But, you know, Junior goes with it. And in my opinion, sometimes you. You think, oh, I feel bad for Junior. So this one, I mean, Amy's that hard. She's hardcore.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, yeah.
Herman Schrader
Okay, so this is funny. Amy. Amy Earnhardt says to her husband on the Bless yous Heart show, says, you know, Dale Jr. Sometimes he'll be shy, sometimes he's not. Like, he'll come up behind me while I'm in the kitchen, and he starts feeling me all up, jiggling my boobs, pat me on the butt, and everybody's like, whoa, what? And then all of a sudden, she says, but if I go to feel him up, he turns beet red and don't want nothing to do with it. So. So the question is this. I will say this. If my wife, Kim, started feeling me up like I feel her up, like, I do the same with Kim. When I'm with Kim, I'm all over. I'm, you know, her boobs, her butt. But it's just the way it is. But if she did that to me, I would say, Kim. So do. Does Ann ever feel you up?
Kenny Schrader
You know, when I committed to this show, I had. I wasn't thinking that this was kind of going to be the subject matter that we were going to be talking.
Herman Schrader
About when I. Bless your Heart is one of the best shows going right now. You had Amy Earnhardt. She's. She's so. Damn. She's ruthless, man. She's a bad. So you going to answer the question?
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, we've. We've had that situation. I'm okay with it.
Herman Schrader
Oh, I love an. Good job. An. Okay, this is the part. NASCAR news. NASCAR news. This is not us. And we don't got to talk about it, but we're going to just say the NASCAR news. This is a new segment. NASCAR and Jim France. They are countersuing 2311 and Front Row. And here. Here's the big one. They're going directly after Michael Jordan's manager, Chris Polk. He is individually named, who is Michael Jordan's longtime business manager. So NASCAR's had enough. They're pissed. They're countersuing, and they're just saying that Chris Polk is the grandmaster behind this scheme and that he keeps feeding the fire. They're saying that Chris Polk is making, you know, calling off meetings. They're St. Chris Pocas calling off meetings. They're saying Chris Polk is trying to get some of the teams, you know, a year ago, to protest. So anyway, we just won't comment on it. But in the end, I heard something. A lot of money sadly and unnecessarily is going to get spent. I wish this was like a divorce, Kenny. I wish they could just go in a room.
Kenny Schrader
A lot of money gets spent there, too.
Herman Schrader
Oh, yeah, buddy. Yeah, right. I wish they like a divorce. Yeah. I wish they could just figure this out. So the reason we got a report on it, because nascar, they did that. They. They announced that. So that's pretty big deal. Okay? Now, we can talk about this stuff.
Kenny Schrader
We can talk about the other stuff, but it's just like. We can talk about the other stuff, but we're not in the middle of it. We know bits and pieces. We don't know enough to really have a clue what's happening. So that's why we're just better off to just announce.
Herman Schrader
Hurts my soul. It's ugly, I can tell you that. That's what I got to say. That's what I got to say about that. That whole suing thing. It's just ugly. Everybody in the sport is kind of like, la, la, la. Because it's just, you know, it's no fun. All right. This is big. This is. This was. This is huge. Chase Briscoe and Joe Gibbs Racing, you know, they were fined 100 points, $100,000. Crew chief kicked out for four races. So they appeal it, they go to Daytona, and they take parts and pieces with them to the court. Little. The little makeshift courtroom, you know, where they got the people and they win. Oh, tell me.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. What's it like with Hendrick? A long time ago, which. We won one, but it was. It's. It's neat. You go to people that aren't there every day. You know, some of the people on the board aren't there or the committee aren't there in the garage area. Every day. But they have a lot of knowledge of automobile racing.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
And they make their decisions. So, I mean, it just shows you that there is a good fair system.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. So Chase Briscoe, they win. And you remember they were charged with elongating the holes for the spoiler to bolt on the deck lid. And they're like, no, you know, we had to, because it wouldn't bolt on. So the, you know, the appeal was granted because the spoiler wouldn't go on, you know. And listen, I got a couple things to say about this. First of all, what you told me. Where did Chase Briscoe, where was he and where did he go to when they gave him his 100 points back?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, I think going into the other day or something, he was 45th or 6th and I think he went back to 15th or something like that. So that's, it's huge. You know, you can't overcome that.
Herman Schrader
You, you do, you, you do really great.
Kenny Schrader
And you win a stage, you get 10 extra points, and that's a big deal. That's 10 stages. Yeah, that's, that's, you know, two races, two over. It's two and a half races, let's say 40 points a race. So it's, it's two and a half races that. Hey, you weren't it.
Herman Schrader
Here, here's what I think. I want to go at it from a different angle. I hear about this stuff happening all the time with the next gen car. You know, this is like a kit car, Kenny, like, like the Indy car. You know, years ago they used to buy these cars over in Europe, come over in a box. Robbie Gordon would show the pictures. You, you know, you undo the crate and you bolt the Indy car together. So these cup teams buy these next gen cars kind of in a kit, and every once in a while, stuff just don't bolt up perfectly. And nascar, when they're inspecting the car, they see a little grind mark and they go, you've messed with it. Here's what I'm saying. I'm saying that NASCAR almost, because sometimes these cup teams work till 6, 7 o'clock at night. And it's like we gotta, oh, my.
Kenny Schrader
God, work till 6 or 7.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, right.
Kenny Schrader
So there's, I'm thinking about what you just said.
Herman Schrader
No, I know, it's silly. No, I made a joke. We work till midnight, one in the morning. My point is this. NASCAR has got to be on call 24, 7 because we're getting ready to go to Phoenix. We, we, we got to have a car that's going to run Circuit of America. We got to run Phoenix. We got a Vegas. I want to. I want to FaceTime. I want the ability. By the way, I'm pleading my case right now, Kenny. I want the ability to FaceTime NASCAR. And they must pick up and go, look, we're getting ready to load up and this spoiler don't bolt on. And. And you got to be able to, you know, they got to be able to fix this issue because like you just said, we work all hours. It's not nine to five. That's the way I feel because some of these items are carbon fiber, and they just not going to bolt right up. You got to have the ability to get approval to bolt these cars together. That's my opinion.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
So.
Kenny Schrader
And, you know, it's also easy once you give somebody a little bit of leeway.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
To take a little more.
Herman Schrader
I understand.
Kenny Schrader
Either way, it got. It got rectified.
Herman Schrader
It got rectified. Okay, moving on. This one was kind of ugly. Coming off the last corner at circuit of the America, Ty Dillon squeezes Austin Cindrick. Like. And then. And then you can see where Ty Dillon ran Austin Cindric over the strip into the grass. And it's like Ty Dillon went, oh, boy. And. And he turned left like he didn't mean to. Austin Cindrick came back after him, chased after him halfway down the straightaway and hooked him in the right rear. That pissed NASCAR off. So they find Austin Cindric and this, this. This is not appealed. Austin Cindrick has accepted the fine. 50 points and $50,000.
Kenny Schrader
Okay. But, you know, that was brought up big time at Vegas.
Herman Schrader
Oh, yeah.
Kenny Schrader
When Bubba.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
You know, Larson and Bubba got together. Bubba got in the fence, Bubba came off the fence, drove down and hooked Larson.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that was bad.
Kenny Schrader
And it's come up a couple times and it's been addressed, and it was real clear that's not. We're not. We're not putting up with them. It's not like it was. It's like, oh, you shouldn't have done that. It. It's been. There have been plenty of warning about that.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. So. And that is about the worst way you can wreck somebody.
Kenny Schrader
That is seems like a big deal. It's pretty helpless feeling inside the car.
Herman Schrader
Oh, yeah. Okay. So that is the NASCAR news. We talked about the counter lawsuit. We talked about Chase Briscoe and Austin Centric. So two things left. Dirt racing and jokes Kenny. We're. We're switching to dirt racing, the world.
Kenny Schrader
Of outlaw sprint Cars, they were at Talladega and Magnolia, Mississippi. Magnolia, Magnolia Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. 2.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Really, really good little racetracks.
Herman Schrader
So the North Pole nightmare. He's from North Pole, Alaska. His shop is down here somewhere now. But Billy Bellog won his second ever. It was a very popular victory at Talladega. What do you know about him?
Kenny Schrader
Well, I don't know a ton. But I know that's really neat to see.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Because I'm trying to think what night it was maybe the last night at Volusia. I'm up at. I went up in the suite to watch the sprint car race, and there's a red flag and he's laying in turn four and a lot of emergency people. And it's like, you know, I was up there, so I had a little advantage of getting a little inside information and I guess the belly pan had ripped off the car and his feet were on the. Actually on the track. So there was a lot of concern there. So to see him at Volusia maybe. Maybe a month ago.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
You know, getting loaded in the, in the ambulance to. In victory Lane just makes you. Makes you happy.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Here's what I got to say about it. I am excited for him. But when you and I raced in Fairbanks, Alaska, you go right by North Pole, Alaska, and I'm like. And like, oh, my gosh. Some. You know, there's some that's hard to believe, but yeah, there's some dirt racers from up there and up.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that's pretty. That's pretty cool. So congratulations to Billy Belog on his second ever. And then we go to Magnolia, Mississippi, Kenny, on Saturday night, David Gravel. That's his third win. He's got it going on this year.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. And that was a. That was a rush, rush show because the rain was coming. And actually they had a little rain delay after this second heat race. I think they showed it on Dirt Vision, the rain coming down, but they got it in. I don't know what support classes they had. I'm. Since they ran all the sprint car stuff first. But yeah, I mean, he's going to be. He's got to be the leading contender, even though he'll be a lot of challengers, but he's got to be the. The favorite right now to repeat his championship.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's like old Dave Despain said, any race you win is hard to win. It used, you know, he's on a roll. That's all there is to it. Those guys are good. And if you can win three of how many they run five or six. I mean. Yeah, he's, it's hard. Yeah, they, they probably run three.
Kenny Schrader
Well, they ran Volusia the one week.
Herman Schrader
Oh, then they came back to volunteer. I missed that part.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. And they, and then they went. Yeah. For the motorcycle week. Yeah, they were there Sunday, Monday or Monday, Tuesday.
Herman Schrader
But anyway, he, he, he, you bring up a good point. He swept those races too. What am I thinking? Yeah, yeah, he swept bike week. He's won more than three races because he wants some speed week races too. But anyway, congratulations to David Gravel. You are the hottest thing in the world about ball sprint cars right now.
Kenny Schrader
Ricky Weiss, Ice Reese.
Herman Schrader
Oh yeah, he won.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, he won, I think 20,000. Hunt the front. 20,000. And we're gonna struggle doing the dirt segment because there's so many, so many races that, you know, we, we just don't even know them all.
Herman Schrader
We'll do our best.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Hey, let me say this. I think, I think it's fantastic. I saw a big, a big shift. The Newport nightmare. Jimmy Owens announces he's going to run hunt the front. This, this Joiner guy and his brother, whoever they are, they're, I mean they're paying real money. It's not like it's a 5,000 to win Mars show, which is fantastic. This hunt to the front deal. They got some. I mean this is another series. And I saw, unless it was fake, you know, Jimmy Owens says he's going to run hunt to the front. These are some serious pain races, I guess particular down south. But anyway, just another series that's paying good money for these late models.
Kenny Schrader
One thing we're not short on is series. You know, there's so many series, so many high paying late mile races right now. It's unreal.
Herman Schrader
It amazes. That's gonna be another story. But it amazes me that they can pay so much money. Okay. And that's another story. So it's time for the end of the show. And we put the jokes at the end and we feel like our jokes are really good this time, Kenny. So here we go.
Kenny Schrader
We'll find out.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, we'll find out. Joke number one. What did the horse say after it tripped? Help. I've fallen and I can't giddy up. That's good. That's good. Okay.
Kenny Schrader
I'm glad you think so.
Herman Schrader
It's funny. Okay. Joke number two. What's the difference between a poorly dressed man on a tricycle and a well dressed man on a bicycle? A tire att ir.
Kenny Schrader
I, I, I, I'll, I'll give them that one. I said I was thinking a wheel. Something about a wheel, but I should have thought about.
Herman Schrader
Okay, that one. That one. Beggars to be repeated, everybody.
Kenny Schrader
I. I'll. I'll give that one a little bit better.
Herman Schrader
What's the difference between a poorly dressed man on a tricycle and a well dressed man on a bicycle? A tire. You're a tire. Okay, and then the last one. This is from Carl O'Connor, a Herman Schrader fan. Thank you. Carl O'Connor here is Carl Oconnors joke. Did you hear about the race car driver that lost his left arm and leg in a crash? Did you hear about the race car driver that left his. Lost his left arm and leg in a crash? He's all right now because he lost his left arm and a leg. So now he's. He's all right now. He's got all he's using.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. You'd rather lose your right arm and leg because you'd have more left side weight.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Oh, boy. That's. Yeah. We're building race cars. Left side weight is fast.
Kenny Schrader
Left side weight.
Herman Schrader
Okay, everybody, that is it. We went. Oh, we went nine minutes longer than we wanted to, but we.
Kenny Schrader
Not then we wanted to.
Herman Schrader
If we always try.
Kenny Schrader
If we wanted to be shorter, we wouldn't have talked as much. Yeah, it's not that we wanted to, Kenny.
Herman Schrader
We're just gonna have weekends like this, you know, I mean, there. This. As you said, you know, it's gonna be hard to do one hour because now racing's lighting up.
Kenny Schrader
You know, the lighting up.
Herman Schrader
Lighting up. Fire.
Kenny Schrader
Nascar. Nascar. Going to Vegas is a pretty big deal this week, obviously.
Herman Schrader
Big.
Kenny Schrader
But the USC sprint cars and our little crate racing modifieds.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
We're going to North Alabama Friday and Saturday. So that's our big race. We're looking forward to that.
Herman Schrader
I'm excited for you. Is there another name for that track.
Kenny Schrader
Or is it just North Alabama Speedway? It's in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. That's awesome.
Kenny Schrader
It's really not that far from here. On a small map.
Herman Schrader
Is our. Did our old friend sell that? Is that Pete or does he still.
Kenny Schrader
Pete. Pete's. Pete's Pete Walton from.
Herman Schrader
He still runs it.
Kenny Schrader
Run the series? Yeah. Runs the series.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. Uscs sprint cars.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. I like Pete. I remember I went with you a couple times and I think we ran some races down around that area, but. Okay. Well, Kenny, you are going to North Alabama Speedway. I am taking my wife to Vegas. Wish me luck.
Kenny Schrader
Well, you and let Me tell you what, I would love to go to Vegas with your wife or my wife because they enjoy all the benefits of being at the casino and they'll have fun, enjoy themselves there and.
Herman Schrader
But Kim, come here, honey. Come here real quick. She's. She just walked by. Talk about perfect timing. So I said to Kim, I said, okay, Kenny, Kenny, we're at the end of the show. We're live. Kenny's going to North Alabama Speedway. And I said, I talked Kim into going to Vegas with me because you're going to gamble. But. But you said you were going to go to trackside live with me. Is that true?
Adobe Voice
Yes.
Herman Schrader
That's all I get?
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's it. That's it. It's not a good conversation. Yeah. It's a yes or no question. Yes or no question.
Herman Schrader
So how excited are you to go to Vegas?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, I'm real excited.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Always Vegas. Yes. Vegas is always fun.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Okay, Kenny, while I got Kim right here. Kim knows that I've been practicing on the trike. I went to bike week. I was on the trike. Your wife, Ann, she called me. We are leaving on Wednesday for the Kyle Petty charity ride. And you're the boss. We are following you. What do you think we meet. Where are we going to meet up at say, 270 and 30 Tuesday yet?
Kenny Schrader
But we'll. Yeah, we don't have to really know that till Wednesday morning. But yeah, somewhere along there we'll meet commuter parking up there.
Herman Schrader
Kim, are you excited to ride on the trike? Are you scared?
Adobe Voice
No, I'm not scared.
Kenny Schrader
I feel better about having three wheels. Oh, yes, you will. Like, I love my bikes. I ride my bikes a lot. But when you're two up like that, it's just more relaxing.
Herman Schrader
More relaxing. He says much safer on three wheels.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, I agree.
Herman Schrader
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
I have not fallen over once since I put the third tire on.
Herman Schrader
He hasn't made a huge. Since he's put the third tire on.
Kenny Schrader
Made a huge, huge difference. I used to fall over my tricycle all the time, but I haven't fallen over on the Gold Wing.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. Well, I'm glad Kim came by, Kenny.
Progressive Voice
And.
Herman Schrader
And we are excited. This is our first time on a trike and we're looking for. Now, do we have any other partners following us up?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, yeah, we've got. We've got. I have to get back with you, but we have five or six of us.
Herman Schrader
Oh, wow. There's five or six of us. Couples.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
That's going to be exciting. Okay, well, Very good. Thank you. Give me a hey, that's two weeks in a row. We had Rusty last week and now Kim this week, so we're getting closer. Kenny. What is that, May? May 1st. We go up Wednesday, or is that.
Kenny Schrader
I don't know.
Herman Schrader
It could be the end of April. We take off since we're going up early. All right. You got anything else, partner?
Kenny Schrader
Nope. Nope.
Herman Schrader
Looking forward to North Alabama.
Kenny Schrader
North Alabama. I'll be here next Monday, so. Yes.
Herman Schrader
All right.
Kenny Schrader
Looking forward to the talking to you for an hour again.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, I got to talk to you about that off camera. I think I'll be flying back Monday.
Kenny Schrader
Morning, so whatever time.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, maybe Tuesday morning.
Kenny Schrader
It makes no difference. Whatever.
Herman Schrader
Okay, everybody.
Kenny Schrader
I think. I think about you. You know, we did that TV show for 10 years.
Herman Schrader
Gosh. Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. And you, when I talked you, it's just like talking to Mikey. Walter.
Herman Schrader
Oh, no.
Kenny Schrader
Yes. No. When we're done with our show, I feel so much better about myself.
Herman Schrader
And that is what I tell everybody when we get to drinking beer, which I don't drink very much anymore. I said, schrader says, herman, you make me happy. I'm like, why is that, Schrader? Because after talking to you for a while, Herman, I feel a lot better about myself.
Kenny Schrader
Love you, brother.
Herman Schrader
