Herman Schrader
I like spending time with you.
Kenny Schrader
That makes me happy.
Herman Schrader
Well, it's all about making you happ.
Kenny Schrader
We're always honest.
Herman Schrader
We don't know that we're not in trouble already. And sometimes truthful. What makes you think you're not a little different?
Kenny Schrader
You're weird too. Herman Schrader. I'm so excited. Dirty Mo Media and the Herman Schrader Show. Yes, we are back in the middle of America. All of us.
Herman Schrader
Did you come home Saturday night after the race? It would have been late.
Kenny Schrader
You go first. But yes, I came home after the race. I was very lucky. You know my good friend John Scottoni. When I say good friend, he really is. He's got that SR22 and we were able to fly his airplane down to the Atlanta cup race on Saturday and back. So yeah, I got back Saturday night, little late.
Herman Schrader
We were able to cruise Right home in one of the Freightliners from, from Seattle, Washington. Really only took 35 hours.
Kenny Schrader
Oh geez. Yeah, I hurt. I hurt hearing you say that.
Herman Schrader
But we got in at 10 o' clock last night and had to take Hanson to the airport quarter for this morning so no problem.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, Kenny. Oh, Scotty Hansen, you. You hiring to do things with you on the Federated tour. Oh, where's he going? Where'd you. Where's Scotty going?
Herman Schrader
He was going home up to Wisconsin but we had Jeff labob and Hanson and I drove it home so it was good, good trip. No problem.
Kenny Schrader
As my mother would say, are you glutton for punishment. So you go, you go.
Herman Schrader
Felt so good when it was over.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, oh, I never thought about that. They. They say when something drives you to drink and the only thing you have to look forward to is feeling better. Okay, you go first my friend. I know you left a couple weeks ago or so. What you do?
Herman Schrader
Did I? I didn't do the show last week I don't think did I? We've done federate. We've done Federated stuff for two weeks. Did. Did you get the race a weekend ago or two weekends ago? Hell I don't know when it was and we ran a first and second out in Montana got home, everything's over. We got another Federated trip in August. Now go racing now go racing for a month.
Kenny Schrader
Hey, you and I for the first time in a long time now I know we share a lot in common but you and I both we pulled. We pulled a a good one same with me. All those track side lives I do very lucky that Marcus Smith's racetracks now I've got a break I'm like you. So now July and August I go racing and then my next track side live will be St. Louis the the playoffs and then Bristol and then Loudon. So we're both going to go right? So where's your next race going to be?
Herman Schrader
Thursday night Lincoln.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, I'm going to go too.
Herman Schrader
I'm going to take the promod.
Kenny Schrader
Oh good. We don't got to race each other. That makes me happy. Okay me, what did I do? Well this is crazy. We went to go race on Wednesday after we did you know you were gone so we had Rick Mast Charlie myself We missed you very much. I go to Granite on Wednesday to race Tri Cities Speedway Granite City, Illinois. Kenny, this, this is actually a two minute subject right here. They got listen 100 degree everywhere sunny everywhere I get close to the racetrack and this little rain Cloud, literally. I'm. I am explaining this, right? I'm not exaggerating. This little rain cloud goes over the racetrack, and I mean, dumps literally 2 inches of water in 30 minutes. I've raced there one time this year. They've held two races this year. Do you remember that in your career anywhere?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, I don't remember it, but I'm sure it's happened. But Grant, man, Kevin and Tammy have just had the worst luck with weather last year and this year. And I knew. I knew it was sunny day because wherever it was, we was paying attention. A sunny day. And all of a sudden it was a downpour. And when you say that, 2 inches. I've heard all kinds of conflicting reports, but I've heard from 1 to 3 in less than a half hour. So it was terminal, that's for sure.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, it was big. So I get rained out on Wednesday, and all good. We roll with it. It's funny, I think about Buzzy Rudimen, you know, he put his arm around me, you know, Buzzy, and he goes, you know, he said, herman, you don't need to quit racing. He said, for example, when it rains, no problem. He's right. I don't care when it rains. When it rains out now, it's like, fine. And so I just turned my truck trailer, went back home. Okay, so then. And you know what? Kenny and Charlie, Charlie, we're gonna include you because you left again. But hold on. I went to Atlanta, left Saturday morning. I want to thank my friend John Scatoni. He has that neat little SR22 airplane. And we flew down to Atlanta. And. And I want. When we get started here, I want to talk about what I saw compared to what people talk about on social media. But before we do that, Charlie, Kenny, that. That's what I did. Charlie, I know you were out of town again. What was you up to?
Charlie Marlow
Well, I was only an hour or so out of town. We went to Innsbruck. You guys ever go to Innsbruck? There, it's about. About an hour from my house. Nice little. Little lake spot, very close to St. Louis. So we were just there for about two days. The family had a good time swimming and all that.
Kenny Schrader
Damn. You can leave two hours from St. Louis and be on vacation. That's pretty good.
Charlie Marlow
It's. It's less than an hour. It was. I timed it. It was 55 minutes door to door.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, very cool. Okay, here we go, everybody. We are going to talk about the Atlanta race. Kenny Schrader, we have now, officially, because of the Mark Martin Kenny conversation. It clearly made its rounds throughout the racing world. It sounds so sarcastic for me to say that, but it really did. Mark Martin is now officially the leader of the old people. And the old people is slaying for people that are really mad that the old days are gone. But they still. They watch all the races, but any chance they can get their jab in, they do. And I went down there and the first thing and do trackside live. Cal Petti's there and a fan says, Herman, I just want to let you know I really like that Mark Martin deal. Okay. What I saw was a lot of happy people. Everybody there is track super happy. Kenny Schrader. And it does not match up with the people on social media. So fast forward, they drop the green flag and they have a catastrophic wreck. And everybody is like, see, they need to go back to the old Atlanta. I'm like, oh, here we go again. Take it from there, Kenny. What. I mean, what gives?
Herman Schrader
First off, there was only. There was four cars at the end of the race that were not involved in an accident.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, good one.
Herman Schrader
That's what J Ski says. Four cars. Case Elliott being one of them.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
The old configuration. The old configuration, the tracks bank. Okay. They didn't change the. They didn't change the layout, the course, it's still the same. They changed the banking, right?
Kenny Schrader
Right. Yeah. The front straightaway still dog leg. Front straightaway.
Herman Schrader
Okay. They changed the banking from 24 degrees to 28 degrees. Daytona's 31, Talladega is 33. We're not up to those places yet. I mean, 28 is a good bank, but they only changed it 4 degrees. But I can tell you what the biggest thing they changed was and why the cars are in such a group right now. Do you know why?
Kenny Schrader
I think I know what you're. I think I know what you're gonna say, but I want you to say it. It's under the hood.
Herman Schrader
If I got this right, the poll the other day was a 30, 90. 30.97. So almost 31 seconds, right?
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. Right.
Herman Schrader
179 mile an hour.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
You know what the poll was in 1997 when they first went to the new configuration? Not the difference in the bank, but when they changed the front straightaway, was it. You know what the poll was that year?
Kenny Schrader
Jeff Bodine. I know. With Hoosier tires. Well, I don't know exactly, but I know that he, he was fast. I. I don't know. In the 20s.
Herman Schrader
28 0, 2807, 197 mile an hour.
Kenny Schrader
So they slowed the racetrack down?
Herman Schrader
No, they didn't slow the racetrack down.
Kenny Schrader
The car's down.
Herman Schrader
18 mile an hour slower, almost. That's like 2.9 seconds slower. They're running around that track now than they did. So you slow the cars down and then you add a little bit more banking. Wow. We can run around there almost flat out. So we're all going to be in a group again.
Kenny Schrader
So. I see, I see and I hear two things. Number. Number one, I think about when you and I were kids and Bobby Allison at Talladega wiped the fence down.
Herman Schrader
Well, we wasn't a kid. When I went by him, he was still gaining altitude.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, damn. What year was that, Kenny?
Herman Schrader
Well, I don't know. It was. It was not. It was 97. No, 87. 80. 1987. I was in Don Levy's car. When I went by him, he was still gaining altitudes.
Kenny Schrader
Damn. I just learned something, okay.
Herman Schrader
That was in Mr. Don Levy's car.
Kenny Schrader
You got memories. And so I, I. What I remember was after Bobby Allison blew the motor, I guess, run over the harmonic balancer, blew the tire out. After that, after that, nascar, and now straighten me out. What I hear is the insurance companies say, okay, you just prove that we can put a car into the grandstands with people, slow the cars down. That's when I knew that started. I know this is a whole different dynamic.
Herman Schrader
We went to restrictor plates after Bobby's crash, but they had restrictor plates years ago. But then we went back to restrictor plates then.
Kenny Schrader
But, but you just gave us a great lesson. When did we start slowing cars down? And that was it.
Herman Schrader
You know, Daytona and Talladega and Atlanta, you know, with the dog legs and guess Charlotte. Anything with the dog leg on the front straightaway or the back, wherever it is, when you come off turn four, you're aiming the car towards the grandstands.
Kenny Schrader
Boy.
Herman Schrader
And then you make it turn again. You know, on a regular oval, when you come off turn four, you're running parallel with the grandstands.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
But on the doglegs, you're aiming them towards the grandstands. And then you expect the car to turn again, or if it gets turned around, gets up in the air, that's when the problem arises. So, you know, they're just, you know, the debate now that they always have is about if they want more horsepower, need more horsepower, or what's going to make a better show or not a better show. I mean, I'm not in the garage every, every week, but I can Almost guarantee you that when everybody know, let's. We would normally say a restrictor plate race, but it's not restrictor plates anymore. But let's say a pack drafting pack race. Well, I guarantee the drivers and the owners didn't raise their hand up and say, hey, yeah, let's add another one of those. And you know, so they didn't, they didn't say, let's, let's, let's keep going in that direction.

But up. Okay, that was really good. And actually that was a lesson. And we know there's a lot in between that everybody, but great lesson on why we started slowing the cars down. Because of Bobby Allison teaching us all. Oh, oh, we, we can put cars and set them right in the laps of people. We could probably kill about a hundred people if we wanted or way more. So we slow the cars down and now we're in an environment where they're too slow. They're. They're not slow, you know. Okay, now we're where we're at. Yeah.
Herman Schrader
We're just trying to control where they land.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Right. Oh, I mean, in, inside the car, it doesn't make much difference if you're flying through the air at A you know, 180 or, or 200, it doesn't make much difference, you know, inside the car, but where it lands makes a huge difference.
Kenny Schrader
And you know, it's, it's all fun and games and you know, we sure do miss our hero. Dale Senior in Senior, you know, he was such a tough ass. Drop the rag. Let's race. Before I tell you what, when you really do wreck, it's a bad deal. So I see, I see when we started slowing the cars down and you just great gave us a great lesson. And now, now the question is, okay, you know, everybody's screaming, give us more horsepower. Okay, now we're gonna. Let's. Let's switch to the different, same story, different, different subject. Chase Elliott saves the race, saves nascar. So we go into this race, we have this catastrophic wreck. Why do we have the wreck? And you just said it. Everybody's piled on top each other catastrophic wreck. And everybody goes right to their cell phones. I hate nascar. Of course. Mark Martin, my hero, goes to social media. He puts us these emojis like, oh my God. Oh my God, this is ridiculous. The whole field wrecks out. Well, they get going, Kenny. They get going. And then you should have seen all the fans changing their tune. Charlie, explain. Did you watch social media during that race how everybody started out, they hated nascar. And then about a halfway through, everybody like they started liking nascar. Here, here, I wrote it down like this. Start of the race, everyone hated Atlanta. End of the race, everyone loved Atlanta. Chase Elliott winning was the cherry on top. Charlie, take. Take me and Kenny through that middle portion when everybody was hating, then they said, oh, I think I like it.
Charlie Marlow
I don't understand that at all. I understand some of the NASCAR fans when they're bagging on some of the short track racing, but Atlanta's been one of the best tracks here for a couple years. And then also, don't you want, don't you want at least one big wreck? Now I understand it cleaned out what, a third of the field. It totally ruined the. The in season tournament. Yeah, the, the challenge in the first, the first race, almost all the favorites are gone. But I feel like Atlanta races so well, you saw one massive wreck. I thought it had a little bit of everything.
Herman Schrader
I don't think we need big wreck. Maybe there's some people that want a big wreck. Like I said, they can go to the demo, but I don't think we need to be a big wreck. But Charlie, you need YouTube and see if you can. I don't know how you do all this stuff. But show that footage because it'd be worth taking two minutes and showing that thing. We've been wrecking these cars since we built these racetracks. NASCAR's biggest wreck wasn't at Talladega a couple years ago when it was 28 or something. It wasn't here at 23. It was like in 5960, something like that. You look at that. NASCAR's biggest wreck at the beach road course.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Or not at Daytona.
Kenny Schrader
Daytona.
Herman Schrader
The ambulances are pulled out, checking on people, and they're still frigging wrecking. They've been. We've been wrecking these things since we built these racetracks. It's not. You know, as everybody gets tighter and faster and closer together, Atlanta is going to be worse than Talladega because you're running in such a smaller circle. I mean, hell, the things a mile shorter. It's. Everybody's closer together, tighter. It's. They're going to wreck their butts off.
Kenny Schrader
Okay, I got this. I got this stat that NASCAR Atlanta, they all came out with. It was very impressive. And. And I moved it up one more race. So here, here's the stat, guys. The last six out of the last seven races at Atlanta have been decided on the last two laps. The one on Saturday night was decided on the last half lap. How in the world can you even breathe? You don't like the racetrack with these finishes that we're seeing?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, he passed them going into one.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
But, yeah, I mean, it's. It's great racing. I text the boss, Mr. Rick, right after race. And it was late, you know, I mean, it was late, but I knew he'd be up watching. And I said, damn, that was. And we were driving. So that was a nail biter. I wasn't driving in Texas. Scott was driving them. But I said that was a nail biter biter. Congratulations. He said it was, but, man, they tore up a lot of stuff.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. I mean, Penske. On that note, Kenny Penske, I think all their cars wrecked out. Charlie, I think that stat's correct. I believe I saw that. Every one of Penske's cars wrecked out. But. But, you know, what's wild is you. You know, I don't. I don't remember Rex that bad at Atlanta over the last couple years. But what all the drivers are saying is now what's going on is the track is aging. For example, this one was wild. I didn't think I'd see it. I mean, we see it every once in a while. It's so rare. We're just going along and all of a sudden Christopher Bell, in the middle of turns three and four, just spins out for no reason, right in front the in car cameras right there with Kyle Larson. Cal Larson's not even close.
Herman Schrader
What part are you missing here, Herman? We've been spinning these damn things out forever. You know, it's not nothing new.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, he's. And that was the other wreck. You know, he spins right out. And that was the other wreck. So we finally got racing, guys. And now here. Here we go to the third phase. Okay. Of the race.
Herman Schrader
Now wait one second.
Kenny Schrader
Okay.
Herman Schrader
Stage one, we're talking about good racing. Stage one. Took them a little bit to announce who won stage one.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, that. Yeah. You know, great reminder. Yeah. Photo finish. Yeah. Hey, you're. You're pleading my case. The race was so bad there we. We had a photo finish. Go ahead, Kenny.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, I mean, it's like, it's gotta be pretty damn good racing.
Kenny Schrader
I think they gave Tyler Reddick the win on that stage. Charlie. Is that right? Was that over? Yeah, yeah. Tyler Reddick got the win over Chase Elliott. I believe that's stage two.
Charlie Marlow
Yes.
Kenny Schrader
Okay. Okay. So I've taken you from. We start the race, we have a wreck. Everybody hates nascar. Everybody hates Atlanta. To Seabell spins out, there's the other wreck. Now things start calming down. Now all the. It's kind of like Rusty saying at Martinsville, we got to train each other to run Martinsville. You can't, you know, dive bomb the corners. Got to save your brakes, guys. Now, we've wrecked so many cars at Atlanta that all the drivers went, oh, I. I get it. Well, so now we get going and I mean, we get to the end of this race, and it's. It's another barn burner. And not just as Chase Elliott, you know, use a mean draft. And I believe it was William Byron or. Or Bowman. Alex Bowman pushed Chase Elliott past Keselowski. Now, that was a story within itself. Keselowski, you know, becomes owner of rfk. He hasn't won in a while. Can, you know, quote unquote, can. Can he win it? Because he hasn't won in a while, which sounds silly because he's so good. He's a champion and a winner many times, but it's going to be feel good. Now Chase takes the lead, Kenny. But now we go down the back straight away. And. And Keselowski has fell back to third as they come off of turn four. Keselowski dives back underneath Alex Bowman and gets second. So we have a fight for the win. Getting into one, we come off of turn four, and now it's side by side for a second. And now, I mean, everybody, everybody is happy. So the question is this. We can clearly see when Chase Elliott wins, he, he moves the needle like Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kenny Schrader. When Chase Elliott wins, does that make everybody love nascar?
Herman Schrader
What I know about social media is Facebook. Okay. That's the only thing I got.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
And I don't care about the other stuff. Don't want to know about the other stuff. You, you put that one stuff on my phone one time and I took it off after about two days because it drove me freaking crazy.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, because they fight.
Herman Schrader
Well. No, it's just I don't care what everybody thinks.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
All I know is like when you, you ask Charlie, were you watching social media? Hell no, I wasn't watching social media. I was watching the race. Yeah, you know, that's what, that's what it's about. So watching the race. But anybody that is on there and riled up, well, they're obviously watching the race. Just like driver introduction. You want it. When they announce, announce your name. You want to be really loud. Whether they really like you or they really friggin hate you. You don't give a. You want to be really loud.
Kenny Schrader
I love it. I love it. Okay, so we're gonna end the race like this. Chase Elliott wins the race. Everybody's happy. They're over the moon. They're not even happy. They're, you know, euphoria, ecstatic. I mean, they're going nuts.
Herman Schrader
That's only the people that are doing something on social media that you know are happy.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. At the racetrack. At the racetrack you could hear the people roaring. Yeah, you could hear the people roaring when, when Chase takes the lead. It was awesome. So Chase Elliott saves the day. I think if Keselowski wins, it's going to be. Feel good, but nothing like a little dose of Chase Elliott. And I think it was fantastic. Yeah, I mean, Chase winning was, was the cherry on top. Jeff Gluck takes the poll. Charlie, what was the poll? I think it could, could it have been a record?
Charlie Marlow
So I just looked at that. I believe it's the fourth best super speedway race in his poll. And I see right now over 37, 000 votes and it's 90, 10, 90. Say it was a good race, can you.
Kenny Schrader
Who are the 10? Who are you all?
Charlie Marlow
They just, they hate everything. They hate everything. They hate life. They hate themselves.
Kenny Schrader
Charlie, you said it right 90 of the people loved it. The other 10 didn't like it. They hate themselves. You poor souls get a life. Okay, 30 minutes. 30 minutes on that. All right, Kenny Schrader, while you were gone, something big was announced. And here we go. We got controversy, but I think they're going to win them over NASCAR along with the network. Tnt. They're back. TNT is back. And we will talk about that broadcast later. Kenny, they announced what's called in season challenge. Okay, here's the way it works. They take the thought top 32 in points and they go first in points versus 32nd in points. Now, to give you an example, first in points, was it Denny Hamlin? He got knocked out. And Ty Dillon. Ty Dillon knocked him out because of the wreck. So they pit the drivers one on one. One on one. Until they go all the way down. And whoever is the. It's five. Five races in season challenge, 32 cars. Whoever comes out on top, the driver wins $1 million. And not just that, Kenny Schrader. If a fan gets lucky and has a perfect, which ain't no way in hell it's going to happen. If a fan gets a perfect, you know, bracket, they win a million dollars. My question to Kenny Schrader is this. Will that help the sport? This in Season Challenge?
Herman Schrader
I kept hearing everybody talk about brackets, but I didn't know what the hell they were talking about. But, and, and, and, you know, I mean, I think about Mark Martin like you do. I mean, he's very, very, very top of the list. You know, he just, he just is, right. He understands stuff, and I guess that's something to talk about. But, you know, the winners are. Will be the five that are in victory lane in those races. I mean, yeah, someone's going to get ours, but it's something to talk about.
Kenny Schrader
There, There are, There are people like Mark Martin. There are Richard Petty, and we've talked about this before. For, for the, for the love of racing, please stop comparing NASCAR to baseball, football, hockey. Mark Martin says they got these catchy little names like playoffs. Oh, yeah, well, we got playoffs because that's what they call all the other sports, playoffs. Mark Martin says overtime. You know why we got overtime? Because all the other sports have overtime. Mark made a good point. Now here we are with. In Season Challenge, they legalized gambling, guys. A couple years ago, they legalized gambling. Gambling's legal now. So now everybody's gambling on every damn thing. So they feel. NASCAR feels like if we put some gambling in the sport, that. That will get people jacked up. Charlie, Kenny just gave us his opinion. What do you think, Charlie? You're a big sportster.
Charlie Marlow
Yeah, I, I like the idea. Just for something fun for tnt. I, I will say the races in this challenge, the fact that you start with essentially a super speedway and almost all the top seeds were knocked out immediately, and then you go to two road courses, that's pretty quirky. It's, it's. I don't want to say it's not fair, but it's not like true NASCAR racing, where if you had multiple intermediates, if it was a short track, I, I feel like the fact that a third of the field was knocked out in this wreck, and then it's two road courses, we might see, like, a really weird winner, which I guess is interesting, but, like, there were too many upsets. You know, people like the NCAA tournament, maybe there's a couple upsets. You don't want all upsets. And that's what happened basically after Atlanta.
Kenny Schrader
Any other thoughts? Kenny?
Herman Schrader
This is a sidebar. It's this little side note. It's not going to have anything to do with any of the end of the year NASCAR results. This is just a little side thing. I am a big supporter of most everything that NASCAR does. I don't care if it's called playoff. I don't care if it's called overtime. I'm not that dead set against everything. I like the way they're doing stuff. I think the racing is fabulous. It's just, I mean, you got to create excitement.
Kenny Schrader
And Kenny, I agree with you. I'm just not the type. I'm like you, Kenny. When NASCAR does something, I don't complain about it right away. I'm like, well, let's, let's see if, if that works, you know. So I think the in season challenge is exciting. But Charlie, in the end, you said it best. Everybody's bracket is busted. I'd be shocked if somebody had anything right. Right. Do you think anybody got anything right right now with that big wreck?
Charlie Marlow
Well, this is like the NCAA tournament. There's always one random person out of like, what, 8 million brackets that somehow picks it. Right. Somebody that doesn't know anything about racing would just pick it based on names they like. And that person will win probably.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. Okay, deep breath. We're going to roll on. Let me set this up. Now, Kenny, I know you were, you know, on the road, but we changed networks. Okay. Prime did their five races and they're gone. Tnt. It kind of reminds me of tnn, the Nashville network. But this is tnt. They're back and they got some of the same characters that prime had. We got Latart, you know, we got Dale junior On the pre and post race show. Now is Shannon. Shannon Spake, which is nice. And, and they took Danielle Trot and they put her as a pit road reporter. So kind of the same characters. I feel like, Charlie, let me ask you this, Charlie, you're a TV guy. I don't know if TNT called an audible or not, but it looks to me like everybody went, wow, prime knocked it out of the park. It's okay to be wrong right here. Do you think TNT said, hey, about three races into the prime deal, we, we need to be like prime because their, their post race show really felt a lot like. Like Prime?
Charlie Marlow
Yeah, I, I think it's a copycat league Sports tv. So I think people saw what prime did. Everybody loved it. They copied some of that. I will say, though, that Turner Sports has been known to do fun stuff all the time. Like, they. They're the Charles Barkley, right? They have. They have more fun on their broadcast in basketball and even baseball, and now they're doing hockey. They have that Paul Bissonnette, who's a really funny guy. So I think traditionally, Turner does take chances also. But, yes, I think. I think prime hit such a grand slam that I think you're going to see all the other networks copy them a little bit.
Kenny Schrader
Kenny, this is to you. I'd love to do this with you once, actually. I was like, man, that looks like fun. One thing that TNT did, they did like this. Charlie, what do. What do we call that? That Larry McReynold and Jeff Burton did something. Cast.
Charlie Marlow
An alt cast, alternate broadcast.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. So what it would be, Kenny, would be you and I would be watching the race and. And you could watch you and me talk about the race while the actual race was going on. It looked like a lot of fun. What do you think that it's like to broadcast where actual drivers are sitting there kind of talking crap, you know, like sitting on their couch. And that's what Larry McGrunnell and Jeff Burton did. Would you be up for that ever?
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that. That sounds like fun. I mean, when you're watching something and just talking about it, I mean, a few of the times that I did some stuff, you learn real quick. You had. You had to talk about what was on that screen in front of you, and you couldn't watch what was going on because, you know, if you're talking about something happening in turn two and the screen showing, coming off turn four, you know, the people at home get aggravated. So it'd be neat just to be shooting the bull about it. Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, you bring up a good point. Yeah, I like what you just said, Kenny, is that, you know, when you're doing TV in the broadcast booth, you got to talk about what's on the screen. But it is neat. Like the Manning brothers, Peyton Manning and what's the other one name? Eli. Peyton and Eli, they. They really made this famous where you watch the broadcast, you know, you don't have to pay attention so much to what the producers want you to say. It is a lot of fun and another perspective. So they did a good job. Of course, people are going to complain about this or that, and that's. That's the way it is. And that's that's okay. But. Okay, Changing subjects again. And this one has not happened in a long time. Kenny Schrader. Last time, I think I remember this was maybe two years ago at St. Louis, a lightning delay. But. But let me explain it to you. It. It's Charlie, now you're a sportster. What do you know about lightning delays at golf games? I mean, this was the weirdest lightning delay I've ever seen. Dale Jr. Kind of made it famous. He's on the CW Network on Friday night for the Xfinity race. And he's like, let's race. There's no lightning. Adam Alexander goes, what are you, a scientist now? So it kind of made it funny, but it's like, hey, let's. Let's talk about this. So, Kenny, they empty the grandstands out. They. They shut this damn facility down. There's no rain. There's no bad weather. You can't see lightning. The lightning supposedly was somewhere. I'm gonna ask Charlie first, because he's a sports or. Charlie, what the hell is going on with this lightning delays that you can't see anymore?
Charlie Marlow
Yeah, I'm. I'm no meteorologist. I would. I get it. Them airing on the side of caution. If you got metal bats or metal clubs or metal bleachers, I get. I know fans are pissed about it, but if there was lightning coming down the road, it could be really bad. So I get it. Even though if I was sitting in the stands, I would probably hate it, too, if I had to leave over two hour delay.
Kenny Schrader
Kenny, the race ended, like, around midnight. What do you know about lightning delays?
Herman Schrader
Well, I know you don't want to get hit by it, right? I don't know. We've had lightning delays before, but. Okay, so two hour delay Friday night, which I wasn't aware of. Think if it was Saturday night's crowd.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, my God. See, everybody? Positive mental attitude. That's why I love you, Kenny Schrader. Yeah, it would have been big if it was Saturday night.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, that's been a big deal.
Kenny Schrader
Well, everybody. So the final analysis of lightning delay was my good friend John Scatoni. We're in the plane. I said, john, what's going on? So he brings it up. He's, you know, these pilots now, they got access to everything. He brings it up. And basically, you know, even the airplanes, they can see if the weather is prime, like, if it could happen. So that's what they were, Aaron, on the side of safety. And they're like, hey, the weather is really sketchy, right? Now we know it's there's no, you know, lightning, but boy, it looks like it could happen. So that was pretty big. Like I said, last time that happened was St. Louis a couple years ago.
Herman Schrader
You're talking real lightning, not Lightning McQueen, right?
Kenny Schrader
Well, he's Lightning McQueen. If he's coming, he could rough you up.
Herman Schrader
He makes some little pass throughs on some of those videos.

Okay, let's do a little bit more racing. Charlie Marlo oh, I am going to give you big time credit on this now. Kenny Schrader. This is just a lot of fun here. Our own Charlie Marlo, he puts it out on social media and boy, I really liked it. Best NASCAR tracks. Let's discuss here. Here are the tracks. Atlanta, Kansas, Charlotte, Michigan, Darlington. Now you can, we can include our own tracks but those are the tracks that have been putting on the barn burners, you know, this year. So we're, we're dealing, we can talk about the past because we're, we're OGs. But once again, everybody, best NASCAR tracks Atlanta, Kansas, Charlotte, Michigan and late last night Charlie Marlow said let's include Darlington, everybody. I follow Charlie's every move on social media. Kenny Schrader we're just discussing, we're having fun because you know, what track have you had your not just best experience but you know, you just, you like damn, that track puts on some races.
Herman Schrader
I think it's, I don't think there's different tracks that traditionally have a little better race than some of the other ones, but these guys are capable of putting on a good Race any place, you know, from Martinsville, Talladega to the road courses. So I don't think you can have a best track all the time. And. But if you. That's just. That's one of those opinion things. I'm not much into those opinion things, Charlie.
Kenny Schrader
I'll save my opinion after you. I know, I know you're. Listen, I want to. Kenny, I want to give Charlie an attaboy. Charlie Marlowe is a sports. That's what I call him. He knows about all sports. But Charlie, this is about what your third year. I mean, you did report on Michigan back in the day. Tell everybody you know, where you're at with your. Your racing knowledge now. And, you know, I know you went up to Michigan when you worked for one of the Michigan channels.
Charlie Marlow
Yeah, so I worked in Lansing, Michigan in 06 07. So for two years. So we covered all the cup races. We did hour long specials and all that. They would send me to Charlotte to get content. So we covered NASCAR pretty hard back then because Michigan International Speedway was in our market. They still had two cup dates. But then I come to St. Louis and they don't have cup until, you know, you and I started your YouTube channel. And it was perfect timing because the next year was the first St. Louis race. So this is basically year four of me really paying very close attention every day basically to NASCAR and this poll, by the way. I was just off the top of my head thinking of what I thought were the best races this year. So people were saying, hey, what about St. Louis? And I'm like, well, we haven't had the St. Louis race yet this year. And also people were, I, I said, hey, give me the ones that I left out. And somebody brought up, you know, Coda had a really good finish, if you remember, with Christopher Bell there at the end. So I was just trying to think of what races that I watched on TV were really good. And that's what came to mind for this year so far.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, fair enough, Fair enough. And I, and I agree, you know, I think, you know, Kenny, my, My take is, man, I love Darlington, you know, because the drivers are always skimming that wall. Oh, he hit the wall. You know, it's always got you on the edge of your seat. Michigan, you know, it's in the middle of nowhere, but yet you got Jackson, Michigan down the road. I guess if you want to go in for an ice cream or something. Charlotte, all the race shops are there. You know, you can go to all the race shops. It. Hell of a finish. I think Ross Chastain did a slide job on William Byron. Just stole that win from William Byron at the end. Kansas, Kansas has got, you know, they built the racetrack at Kansas. And Kenny, you know this more than I know they built the racetrack at Kansas. Then they built a city around the racetrack. They got, you know, the soccer field, great restaurants, the water park. Atlanta, Atlanta's been there forever, but it's revived. It's called Echo Park. Now that those are, you know, that's, that's basically Sonic. That's Bruton Smith's other son. And Echo park is bright. Now, Kenny, I don't know if you know it, but if you see some pictures they took Atlanta Motor Speedway, it's this fluorescent green. It's called Echo Park Speedway. You know, I just gave everybody a drive through. What do you think Kenny?
Herman Schrader
I mean, I don't, I don't think where they're located makes much difference. I don't think what color they painted them up makes much difference. It's about the race, you know, and, and I said the cup cars can put on a good show any place.
Kenny Schrader
You know, Kenny, I enjoy going to Phoenix with you and Ann because you know, you raced open wheel at Manzanita. I will never ever forget you and Ann not long ago. Okay, 20 years ago damn time. You, you and Ann took me one Friday night over to Manzanita. I love Phoenix. You know, it's fan friendly man. The motorhomes really turn out at Phoenix. So everybody, we're going to include you in this. You've heard what we've got to say. Respond right here. We kind of give you the perimeters. I told you why we all like Kenny. Charlie, Charlie, what do you, what do you think buddy? You're the one that took to poll. What do you know?
Charlie Marlow
Well, I'm, I'm biased and obviously I didn't race like you guys and I'm watching these on TV. I will go to the St. Louis race. That's the only race I've been to in the last several years in person. But look, I just think the intermediate racing in the next gen era, it's so obvious that it's so much better in my opinion on most of these tracks. Just, just watching it on tv, you can just tell it's better. Atlanta I, I think is, is really good. Also I think some of the fuel saving stuff at super speedways I'm not a huge fan of. I'm in the, I'm in the, the class that would say I think we need to, to Shore up the short track stuff. I just think that they've. They've got it right with the intermediates, and it's very obvious to see on tv. And if you want to go to the Jeff Gluck polls, it probably also rings true there. I just think it looks better. It's pretty obvious to me.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. Well, good stuff. Good stuff, because there are tracks that. Okay, let me dumb it down, Kenny. There are tracks that you and I look forward to going to more than others because of the outside area. You know, we go to Dover, we get to go to that place, and we can eat some, you know, seafood. I. I go to Phoenix, I might. You know, Phoenix got some great surroundings. You go to Charlotte. Yeah, it's kind of like the home field. What one track, forget about racing. What one track do you look forward to going to just because of the surrounding areas?
Herman Schrader
I'm not telling you the answers that you want today.
Kenny Schrader
That's okay.
Herman Schrader
I don't care. I go over to the rack.
Kenny Schrader
I like Loudon because I like lobster. And you can get. You can get Lazy Man's lobster. You, you know, you make a left out of the racetrack at Loudon. Go to the very top. There's a blue. There's a blue restaurant up there. It's painted blue, and you can order lobster, and it, like, comes ready to go. Oh, it's expensive, but, boy, it's good. All right, everybody, you get the gist of Charlie Marlow's poll, best NASCAR tracks. Charlie, what was your parameters again this year?
Charlie Marlow
I just said for. Just for racing, for. For tracks that look racy, you know, multiple grooves, fun to watch on tv. That's. That's kind of what I was thinking. Just top of my head.
Kenny Schrader
Okay, I'm gonna tell you what.
Herman Schrader
And the tracks that. The lobsters all out.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, good lobster. Hey, there's people out there that are going to tell us they like certain racetracks because they look forward to certain.
Herman Schrader
When everybody replies. Do they reply when they're at work?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, well. On. On the Kenny Wallace. This airs on the Kenny Wallace YouTube show. So the comment section's lit and Charlie monitors it. Yeah. And you know, we're on dirty Mo Media.
Herman Schrader
What time is that?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, for this lives. For the rest of our lives.
Charlie Marlow
Forever.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, Charlie will show you.
Charlie Marlow
Hey, we got a joke. We got a joke from. From a viewer this time.
Kenny Schrader
I saw that.
Charlie Marlow
Yeah.
Kenny Schrader
Okay, Kenny, you. I know you had a good time, but. Okay, Charlie, it. We're going to jokes, everybody. Let her eat.
Charlie Marlow
Okay. Always got to tell you first Also, about the. The merch line. It's shop.dirtymomedia.com. check out all the new stuff. Hats, hoodies, T shirts, and all that. Okay, so we got one joke from a viewer. This is from X. From Twitter. So here it is. This is from Tony Kendrick. Tony Kendrick says, did you hear that the inventor of the throat lozenge passed away? Did you hear that the inventor of the throat lozenge passed away? There was no coffin at the funeral.
Kenny Schrader
That was not bad. And. And that was.
Charlie Marlow
Tony.
Kenny Schrader
That was. That was on X. And that was. That was good.
Charlie Marlow
Okay, now we're going to a little more inappropriate ones. I think that worked last week.
Kenny Schrader
So we're good.
Charlie Marlow
We're gonna stay in that lane. All right, here we go. Did you hear about the guy that accidentally swallowed a bunch of Scrabble tiles? Did you hear about the guy that accidentally swallowed a bunch of Scrabble tiles? Like the game. Okay.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah. And Schrader. Kenny, we used to play Scrabble on your airplane. Her and Kim. They made.
Herman Schrader
Yeah, I didn't play.
Kenny Schrader
They made words I didn't know were real. But go ahead, Charlie.
Charlie Marlow
His next trip to the bathroom could spell disaster.
Kenny Schrader
That was good.
Charlie Marlow
Not bad.
Kenny Schrader
Okay.
Charlie Marlow
I asked my waiter how they prepare the chicken. I asked my waiter how they prepare the chicken. He replied, we tell them they're going to die. Okay.
Herman Schrader
You talk about that airplane, Kenny. Remember when they used to take our CO2 levels?
Kenny Schrader
Oh, yeah, yeah. Then we all started breathing oxygen after the. Yeah, go ahead.
Herman Schrader
Yeah. I went in there because you'd always just. You didn't want to do it. You just. Jack was especially. Didn't want to do it after race because you want to get the hell on the airplane.
Kenny Schrader
Right.
Herman Schrader
I'm in there one time when you go in there, like, Friday morning, you get called so they could test you before.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
And it's like, do you get headaches after the race? All right. Mondays. And I said, what? I used to, you know, used to get headaches on Mondays, but I. I haven't got them. And, you know, lately. And they. Boys, they perked up. It's like, oh, what have you changed? Are you doing a different filtration system and, you know, air coming in or anything like that? Said, no, we really haven't changed much in the car. She would say, what do you think made the difference? I said, we quit drinking as much on the airplane on the way home.
Kenny Schrader
That was true.
Herman Schrader
That was what really made a difference.
Kenny Schrader
Well, what make. Yeah, it's rough when you're dehydrated. After a cup race and you grab a beer saying, yeah, thank you, man. You know what's crazy, Kenny? You know, we would run those cup races and, you know, later on, you know, we had some air get to our bodies. You and I could empty out two big Gatorade bottles. I mean, in no time. And I wouldn't have to go pee. I wouldn't have to pee till like, Monday evening, you know, you'd race. Yeah.
Herman Schrader
You take that red Gatorade.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
And you mix it. Red wine.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, Lord.
Herman Schrader
It was like a sports drink with a little punch.
Kenny Schrader
Hey, getting. Getting back to the oxygen and the CO2 level, everybody. Mark Martin would run the Xfinity races. And, you know, every once in a while on a late Saturday evening, we were friends back then. You, you know, you still. You might have a rough up or a dust up, but you'd go to Mark Martin's motorhome and he's in there breathing oxygen. It's like, what the hell's going on here? Well, the carbon monoxide in our days, I mean, that's what ended Rick Mass career, our buddy, you know that. That's another conversation. That's what ended Rick mask career. But back, you know, Mark Martin, after those Xfinity races, he would breathe oxygen, you know, for 30 minutes. Little CO2 bottle. Go ahead, Kenny. I see he's gonna say something.
Herman Schrader
I know. You know, we love Rick Mast. He also. Doesn't he remove hazardous waste also?
Kenny Schrader
God. Truck driver, you know him and Jimmy Hensley. Jimmy was a propane driver. Something about the Virginia area. I think Jimmy Hensley's up there around Martinsville, Virginia.
Herman Schrader
And Jimmy Hensley is awesome. Remember Dale. Dale Senior's car on the pole at Martinsville during Hurricane Hugo.
Kenny Schrader
Okay, we're gonna. We're gonna. We gotta talk about that.
Herman Schrader
Well, no, Hurricane Hugo. There was like three or four of us didn't make it up there that day, and I didn't make it up there. Did you not make it up there for that?
Kenny Schrader
Rusty didn't either. Were we coming up? No. Well, we. We were on a hundred mile an hour and Rusty had a Trans Am. We come flying down the hill. I jumped in my car. I think Rusty. Rusty was watching his car be qualified by Larry Pearson. But go ahead. I want to hear your story.
Herman Schrader
Jimmy Hensley. Jimmy Hensley won pole in Senior's car.
Kenny Schrader
That's big. Yeah, that's all. You know what? That is a short story. We live that night.
Herman Schrader
A little trap.
Kenny Schrader
But, I mean, it's like Kim says, we gotta Go to Rusty's house because we're living in a single wide trailer. And she says, there's a hurricane coming to Charlotte. I mean, it's like, midnight. I'm like, there ain't no damn hurricane coming. Go to bed. Holy moly. We're dry. We grab. We put our. Our babies in, like, pillowcases, and we're going to Rusty's home. And there's signs flying across. We wake up in the morning, and, like, Kenny's saying, it's. It's a catastrophe. It's like, certainly we're not.
Herman Schrader
All the tornadoes that came through here, you know, like, last month and stuff.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, yeah.
Herman Schrader
Tornado, I mean, headed straight for Detmer. It's like, you going to the. You going to the basement down below say, hell, no, I'm going to the hot tub. I want to see this.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, my Lord. Yeah, but, boy, I'll never forget that. You're right, Kenny. So Earnhardt, his properties tore up. And to. To your point, that is a documentary right there. And some drivers make it, some don't. NASCAR says we're qualifying. And I guess the billboards were knocked down all around the racetrack.
Charlie Marlow
I don't remember.
Herman Schrader
Charlie, were you done with jokes?
Charlie Marlow
We got two more. Two more. Okay, here we go. My father died after I couldn't remember his blood type. All right. My father died after I couldn't remember his blood type. On the bright side, he gave me some good advice first. He said, be positive.
Kenny Schrader
That's good. That's good.
Charlie Marlow
All right. I think. I think this. This is the best one. I saved the best for last. My wife is upset that our neighbor keeps sunbathing without her top on. My wife is upset that our neighbor keeps sunbathing without her top on. Me. I'm on the fence.
Kenny Schrader
Oh, boy. That's great.
Charlie Marlow
I like it pretty good.
Kenny Schrader
I like it a lot. All right, everybody, listen up is what I always say. We want to thank our sponsor, Fox Factory Vehicles, for bringing everyone's today's episode of Herman Schrader. I know we're not a news show. We're not a result show, and, you know, we did. We didn't cover Xfinity, which. Okay, we're not going to talk about dirt racing, but one big thing.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah.
Herman Schrader
Trucks went to Lime Rock park in Connecticut.
Kenny Schrader
Yeah, let's talk about it. Corey Hine kicked their butt.
Herman Schrader
I didn't see a lot of. I didn't see any of it, but I text with Dickie Regal, the president up there. So I've known for a long time. And you know, we went up there last year or two years ago with the IROC stuff with Everham. Oh, yeah, he said it was a huge success. It went real good. That's pretty. I mean that's a, that's a very historic, racy little track when the people come out and support a huge.
Kenny Schrader
And Mike Joy did an off the cuff special. He did not read a prompter. That is the breaking news in tv. Mike Joy shows his brilliance again. No, just, just prep and some help from people, you know. But Mike Joy, from what I hear, did an incredible short documentary on the history of Lime Rock, so good job, Mike Joy. Okay, now you got me going. I do got to say this. We ran Pele a couple weeks ago and Nick Hoffman stayed here at my place for three days. He slept up there at our party home. He worked on his race car and he had a good time. He went to the ball game with us. They swam in our pool. We ordered emo's pizza. And then the very last day, they unloaded his race car in my race shop. He spent three hours on the, on the front end settings, changing a frames, uppers, lowers, everything. He proceeded to leave my shop and go north on this world of outlaw late model tour and won the first two. I text him, I said, I guess it was my shop. He said it was a very nice shop. And then he ran third last night. So congratulations to Nick Kaufman. A first, a first and a third. Any else? Anything else, Kenny?
Herman Schrader
No, I gotta go work.

Episode: Did NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Win At NASCAR’s Most Popular Track?
Release Date: July 2, 2025
Hosts: Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, and Charlie Marlow
Produced by: Dirty Mo Media
The episode kicks off with Kenny Schrader and Herman Schrader sharing their recent experiences post-race. Kenny recounts flying back from the Atlanta Cup race in John Scottoni's SR22 airplane, expressing gratitude for a smooth trip despite the late arrival. Herman adds that they managed to cruise home in a Freightliner from Seattle, completing the journey in about 35 hours. Both hosts highlight their camaraderie and mutual excitement about being back on the racing scene.
Kenny Schrader [02:22]: "I came home after the race. I was very lucky."
Herman Schrader [02:45]: "We were able to cruise right home in one of the Freightliners from Seattle, Washington."
The discussion shifts to the Atlanta race, addressing the disparity between the hosts' on-site observations and the negative sentiments prevalent on social media. While many online critics were quick to express dissatisfaction following a catastrophic wreck, Kenny and Herman observed a largely happy and excited crowd at the track.
Kenny Schrader [08:12]: "What I saw was a lot of happy people. Everybody there is track super happy."
They delve into the technical aspects of the track, explaining recent changes such as the increase in banking from 24 to 28 degrees. This modification, alongside reduced car speeds (from 179 mph to approximately 180 mph), aims to enhance safety by controlling where cars land during crashes. The hosts reflect on historical precedents, recalling how past incidents led to the implementation of restrictor plates to slow down the vehicles.
Herman Schrader [10:33]: "They changed the banking from 24 degrees to 28 degrees."
The conversation highlights how these adjustments have led to more group racing, reducing individual speeds but increasing the potential for multi-car wrecks. Kenny reminisces about Bobby Allison's crash in 1987, which was pivotal in NASCAR's safety regulations.
Kenny Schrader [12:26]: "They slowed the racetrack down? No, they didn't slow the racetrack down. The car's down."
The hosts discuss the recent race dynamics, noting that the final laps were highly competitive, culminating in Chase Elliott's victory, which significantly boosted fan sentiment both at the track and online.
Kenny Schrader [27:59]: "So Chase Elliott saves the day. I think if Keselowski wins, it's going to be feel good, but nothing like a little dose of Chase Elliott."
Kenny introduces the newly announced In-Season Challenge, a bracket-style competition where the top 32 drivers compete head-to-head over five races, with both drivers and fans vying for a $1 million prize. The hosts debate whether this format will enhance the sport or introduce unnecessary complexities.
Kenny Schrader [32:51]: "Do you think that will help the sport? This In-Season Challenge?"
Herman expresses his support, emphasizing that while the bracket promises excitement, he remains hopeful that seasoned drivers will emerge victorious rather than random upsets.
Herman Schrader [35:30]: "I am a big supporter of most everything that NASCAR does... I like the racing, it's fabulous."
Charlie Marlow adds that while the concept is intriguing, the numerous upsets might undermine the integrity of the competition, comparing it to the unpredictability of NCAA tournament brackets.
Charlie Marlow [36:50]: "There's always one random person out of like, what, 8 million brackets that somehow picks it."
The conversation transitions to the recent shift in NASCAR broadcasting from Prime to TNT. The hosts discuss TNT's approach, noting similarities to Prime's successful format and the introduction of familiar personalities like Dale Jr. Shannon Spake, and Danielle Trottas. They express enthusiasm about TNT adopting an alternate broadcast style, similar to what Larry McReynol and Jeff Burton have done, envisioning a more relaxed and conversational commentary.
Kenny Schrader [38:05]: "TNT is back. They will talk about that broadcast later."
Herman Schrader [39:35]: "It sounds like fun. But you'd have to talk about what's on the screen."
The hosts recount a peculiar incident involving a lightning delay at a race, despite no visible signs of a storm. Kenny shares a story where the grandstands were evacuated due to a presumed lightning threat, only to find out it was a false alarm. They discuss the importance of erring on the side of caution for safety, even if it disrupts the event.
Charlie Marlow [41:49]: "I would, I get it - them airing on the side of caution."
Kenny Schrader [43:33]: "That's big. Last time that happened was St. Louis a couple of years ago."
Charlie announces a listener poll on the best NASCAR tracks, listing Atlanta, Kansas, Charlotte, Michigan, and Darlington. The hosts share their personal favorites, highlighting aspects like unique race dynamics, surrounding amenities, and memorable finishes.
Charlie Marlow [46:02]: "They've been putting on the barn burners this year."
Kenny Schrader [49:37]: "I love Darlington because the drivers are always skimming that wall."
The poll results indicate a strong preference, with 90% of voters favoring the listed tracks, while the remaining 10% express discontent, often reflecting broader frustrations with the sport.
Kenny Schrader [52:18]: "90 of the people loved it. The other 10 didn't like it. They hate themselves."
The hosts provide updates on various racing events, including successes at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and commend Nick Hoffman for his performance in the Outlaw Late Model Tour. They also reminisce about past racing moments and the importance of community and camaraderie within the NASCAR family.
Herman Schrader [62:36]: "Nick Hoffman stayed here at my place for three days... he won first and a third."
Concluding the episode, Kenny, Herman, and Charlie share a series of jokes submitted by listeners, adding a lighthearted touch to the discussion. They encourage audience engagement, promoting their merchandise and social media channels.
Charlie Marlow [53:52]: "Did you hear about the guy that accidentally swallowed a bunch of Scrabble tiles? His next trip to the bathroom could spell disaster."
Kenny Schrader [56:50]: "We quit drinking as much on the airplane on the way home."
The episode wraps up with final acknowledgments to sponsors and a promise to continue delivering engaging and entertaining NASCAR content.
