When Howard Weaver created the hilarious Facebook page, “Weaber Valley Speedway”, poking fun at the crazy world of dirt racing, he had no idea how big or how much noise his small page would make

He could be Charlie Marlo's brother, but he could also be my brother, my newest friend in life, the funniest man I have ever met. And we're going to talk about it more. Howard Weaver. Howard, how you doing, buddy?
Howard Weaver
I'm pretty good. How are you man?
Kenny Wallace
I'm doing better now that I'm going to talk to you. Okay, so obviously I talk a lot and it pains me that I've got to paint this picture. Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen. You are looking at the face first time ever of Weber Valley Speedway. There he is, Howard Weaver. He is the creator of Weber Valley Speedway. And my friend, you are the funniest man that I've ever met in my area. My little cocoon, my little life. When I found dirt racing, you know, I watched Saturday Night Live and I love the old Saturday Night Live. So I always make fun of situations. Dirt racing is so damn comical. So you came out with Weber Valley Speedway all over social media and my friend, you are the funniest man I've ever met because you make fun of situations that are real and you put a twist on it. You become one of the most popular people on all of dirt racing. And that is my introduction, everybody, to Howard Weaver. Howard, how you doing?
Howard Weaver
I'm good. I wouldn't say I'm all that, but we just like to make people laugh. And some people get mad. Some people. A lot of people love it. The ones that get mad think it's all, you know, completely real. So. I like reading those comments, too. So, yeah, it just. Something to make you laugh every day when you get up.
Kenny Wallace
It is real. It is real with a twist. But let me do this. I want to give a shout out to our friend Kevin Dedman, the lead. The lead singer of Dirty Grass. So. What a great man. Tell me about Kevin and your relationship.
Howard Weaver
So. So I met Kevin through iracing, actually. So, yeah, so me and him, we're on the same team in iracing, which neither of us, like, play it anymore, but we were. I was actually, like, ranked number one in the world on iracing on dirt there. Yeah, you didn't know that, but, uh, so I was like, number one. And then Kevin was up there in, like, the top 10. And we. We just met on there, and then we. We met at Bristol for one of the dirt races in real life, and then a couple more times after that over in North Carolina. And so, yeah, we just became friends, like, probably, I think around when Covet or. Actually, no, it was like before COVID It was like 2018 or so. And so, yeah, Kevin's like, a really good dude, and he gave me this shirt the other day, so figured I'd wear it for him.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, I'm a little jealous. I need that shirt. My. I've wore the blue right out of mine.
Howard Weaver
And, yeah, they're nice.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah. Kevin Dedman, great band. Lead singer, Dirty Grass Soul. I met Kevin down at the Broken Spoke for bike week at Daytona. He plays at the Broken Spoke. And, man, what a damn great group. And they travel, they work so hard, and they're so talented. But the big tie in is Dirty Grass Soul, as you know, plays at Fairberry Eldor. They play at all the dirt tracks.
Howard Weaver
And yeah, he's a.
Kenny Wallace
He's a good dude. And. All right. We just wanted to give a shout out to. To him. Yeah. All right, my friend, let's talk like this. Weber W E A B E R. Weber Valley Speedway. Tell me how you come up with that name.
Howard Weaver
Okay, so. So my friend Scott actually created the page initially, and he was a. He was a promoter of a real dirt track down in Texas where he lives. So he already had the knowledge of you know, promoting dirt tracks and stuff. And hopefully my mom doesn't watch this, but we had a.
Kenny Wallace
Sorry, mom. We love you.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, so we had a group chat on Facebook where she would text me, like, funny. Well, she wasn't trying to be funny, but they were funny to me because, you know, she was, like, misspelling everything and struggling with sentences. And so occasionally I would forward them into our little group chat. And then Scott's like, okay, this would be. This would be funny as a. Like a user creating a racetrack page with this kind of typos and stuff, which is not too far off from how the real tracks are around here anyway. And so since he was a promoter and all that, he decided to make the page and spell basically, like how my family did. And so it should have been called Weaver Valley, obviously, because my last name. But since we can't spell, you know, we had the B instead of the V and it became Weaver Valley. So that's pretty much how it started.
Kenny Wallace
Okay, I want to give a disclaimer on behalf of myself and Howard. We love everybody. We truly do. But. But comedy. Comedy is our lifeline. And people make fun of me all the time, whether because I got a hair. Hair operation because I'm a white skinny dude, I got no ass. They make fun of me because I'm not as good as my brother. Listen, I've got thick skin. You cannot get me. So I want everybody to understand that we love you all. Please play along, because if anybody doesn't love comedy, then you don't love life. So, Howard, I just wanted to get that in there. What do you have to say to everybody before we start roughing everyone up?
Howard Weaver
Well, yeah, it's the same for me. I'm not trying to make fun of anybody or anything because I'm basically taking my childhood and, you know, growing up, going to the races and just like, life in general and putting it onto Facebook as. As the page. So, I mean, it's not making fun of anybody if so it's making fun of myself because that's literally how I grew up. And I just. I just think whatever's funny to me, you know, I post on there, and my buddies post whatever is funny to them. And yeah, Jeb. Jeb Yoder, he, you know, he doesn't believe in cameras or he would be here.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, because Jeb Yoder, obviously, that is the Amish. And here's what's great about that. We love the Amish. Love them, but they are not going to do anything up to date. They are going to use, they are going to use man made shovels. We see them, we see the beautiful Amish people when we go to say, Dover, Delaware to race in the NASCAR series. They're close to a little airport there. We love the Amish, but damn it, come on. They, they are a comedy because they despise, they despise electricity.
Howard Weaver
Well, so my favorite part about the page, not too many people pick up on this, but one week we'll show something like we're, we're grading the track or plowing the track with like an old Tommy hand plow or something.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah.
Howard Weaver
And then the next, the next week we got like a futuristic drone like circling over like millions of dollars. And then we claim like we're too poor to afford anything, but then we'll, you know, it's like we have this futuristic million dollar technology one week and then the next week we're back on hand plows. So it's like we contradict ourselves constantly and it makes it funnier to me.
Kenny Wallace
Okay, here's what we're gonna do. Everybody throughout the show. We're gonna have Charlie model drop some things in here for the Kenny Wallace YouTube show. Obviously everybody, we are on Dirty Mo Media too. So you're on podcast and you'll be able to listen. But Charlie is going to drop some things in right now. So Charlie, some of these things you're dropping in. I mean this, this is what, you know, Howard and his friend are up to. Now are you doing everything by yourself or are you having help along the way here?
Howard Weaver
It's, it's usually me and this guy, especially lately, this guy from Oklahoma named Daryl Presmo. He's doing like a lot of the posts. Like almost all the picture posts, the video, the video posts that you've been seeing lately have been me. But Daryl does like almost all the photo posts right now. And like he's so good at typing. Like Weaver Valley. Like no one can tell a difference on if he's posting or I'm posting because like the way he types is just perfect. And like I, I think he's funnier than the post that I make. But I guess also because they're new to me, because I don't know what he's gonna post either. So it's like I'm getting to see it as a fan instead of, you know, having to make it myself. So he, he, he does a really good job. I think he lives over in like Tulsa area, so. But he, he, I found him and he does a really good job with It. So it's kind of just me and him. And then my friend Tyler Burrow helps a lot. And a lot of people know Tyler because he lives in Batesville, Arkansas, where a racing capital. Yeah, he did. He did all of Billy Moyer's raps over the years in Scott Bloomquist in the early 2000s at New Vision Graphics. So he's kind of. A lot of people know him. So he helped out with it too.
Kenny Wallace
I like this part because everybody was telling me at the racetracks, do you know Weber Valley Speedway? That. That is Larry Shaw's boy. I'm like, really? So now they were, they were close. They were close.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, Larry Shaw is his uncle, so.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, so it is close.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, they were on the right track.
Kenny Wallace
At least I'll be darn. But. But there he is, everybody. Look at him. Look at him right there. That. That is the face of Weber Valley Speedway. Okay, I got so much to ask and say. I want to say this. We're like minded because I love racing and I love life. And so the fans, you know, they play like they hate nascar. So the whole time they're trying to trash NASCAR to me, they're misspelling every word. So I come up with this character. I say, of course, I do a lot of videos myself. I say, I not believe you talk like that. Well, it's because instead of saying not, they put a U in there, you know, and you get further down south and like, hey, Wallace, I don't believe you say that. So instead of saying not so when you and I are the same mentality, right? So I grew up watching the good Saturday Night Live. And you know, was it Michael, Michael Myers. Michael, he created the church lady. And you and I have talked about this. Now, the church lady. The church lady was this character that he explained. He said, look, when I was a kid, I would go to church and these ladies would have all their hair done. Big old, big old up, you know, and they'd have the hair spraying. And he says they were constantly poofing their hair up with their hands. So the church lady was invented. I want you to tell me some things that strike you to keep this show going. What are some things. You see that? Like, oh, man, oh man, that's good. What are some of the things?
Howard Weaver
Well, like a lot of times we'll. I'll just be scrolling on Facebook and I'll see a post and I'm like, I'm like having to check to make sure that we didn't post it. It's from a Real track. And it's like, dang, I wish I thought of that. Except they, except they actually mean what. Whatever they're posting, they're posting it serious. And it's like you're kind of like face palming. Like that shouldn't be on, you know, your tracks page or whatever. It should be on Weaver Valley. It shouldn't be on like a real track. Trying to like, you know, say something. Like, I saw something the other day. It was. I think Daryl sent it in. Our group chat of one of his local tracks was like saying, you guys should be ashamed to ask for refunds after the race was rained out or whatever. Like the track was B rating them. And I was like, dang, we should, we should. Because it was for like a fundraiser or something, which I get. Fundraisers are good. But like, they should. They were calling out the. The fans saying like, you shouldn't. You shouldn't ask for your money back after the rain out. And I was like, Weaver Valley should just say we're raining out every week. But the money was for a fundraiser. And then like berate everyone. Like basically calling the. The fans stupid, I guess, and saying like, know they're idiots for wanting their money back. And then Weber Valley could just make all these fake charities and say, you know, guilt, guilt trip the fans into saying, you know, you shouldn't have your get your money back because we were raising money for Jeb's blind kid or something.

Huggies, little movers made with double grip strips or the new hug fit 360 degrees waistband so your little double can keep moving. Like you. Huggies. We got you, baby.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, yeah. And. And you know, the. The thing about dirt racing is people are going to get mad at me for this. I know they are, but I. I've got to do a little disclaimer. I love you all. I love you very, very much. But there are things in dirt racing that are like, are you kidding me? I won't bring my brother Rusty Wallace here because he'll say, herman, what the are you doing? You know, so Charlie will beat that out. We don't like to cuss too much on here because it makes it harder on Charlie. But my brother, Rusty Wallace, he'll say, herman, what the hell you run that dirt car for? And. And I'll say, come on, brother. You got to go to a dirt race. And wouldn't you know it, I'll take him to one of these dirt tracks. And there's no bathrooms. They're all Porta Potties. And these porta Potties hardly got toilet paper. And when you go in there, there's a full of. And you go in there, and you look down accidentally, and they're just piles of in the. In the porta potties. And it's like, no. Where's a bathroom? Oh, at this dirt track, we don't have bathrooms. It's like, so. So this is it. You want my wife to come to this porta Potty? Now, the great thing, Howard, about dirt racing is porta Power. Porta Potties, as I call them, the shooters. They're real. They're just. They're just part of dirt racing. And for that, I'm like, this is unreal. I could never bring a real sponsor because the porta Potties we got at the NASCAR tracks, they're clean, they smell good. But some of these porta Potties at these dirt tracks, it's like they might have the sucked out, but that's it. And you better bring your own toilet paper or shop towel. Have you? And I follow everything, but I can't see it all. Have we done anything with the legendary dirt track porta Potties?
Howard Weaver
Yeah, we did, actually. A couple. Well, we. We do it. We do. We've done a few, but we have one where they. We. We had no bathroom, so there was, like, A mile long line to the single porta potty we did have, which lines up with what you're saying. And then like a month ago, we did one where there was like, catfish in the porta potty. And, like, we had to, like, fish it out so people could use it because it was. It was nibbling on people's buttholes.
Kenny Wallace
That's way better. What I can do.
Howard Weaver
I'll just like, when I can't sleep at night, these dumb ideas will wake me up. And then I have to like, write them down real quick and then post them the next day.
Kenny Wallace
I got another one for you. It's so real. But when he said it, I looked at it like, what? And so the great Kenny Schrader, my. My brother. So we got this racetrack over here. They're going to get called out, but they're good people. Tri City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. So you got the front stretch, you got the back stretch. You know, if you've gone to Granite long enough, you know which way the wind blows it from the back straightaway to the front straightaway. And when the track gets super dry, it just blasts the fans. The fans come out of the grand. The fans come out of the grandstands after the races. It's like they've been through a damn tornado. And of all people. Of all people, Kenny Schrader says, herman, you know better than parking this way because you know the dust comes into the truck and trailer that way. I'm like, trailer, listen to yourself. You're trying to tell me which way. I need to park our truck and trailer so the wind doesn't blow all the dust into the trailer. So that's comedy. I mean.
Howard Weaver
Yeah.
Kenny Wallace
Have we made one where people are just getting wiped out in the grandstands like they do in real.
Howard Weaver
With like dust and stuff?
Kenny Wallace
Oh, just. Yeah, I mean, yeah, whatever.
Howard Weaver
We'll occasionally put. Because normally the track's super wet is because it rains so much over here.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah.
Howard Weaver
But then other times it's either. It's never. The track's never like perfectly just mediocre. It's either completely wet and soaked or like bone dry. So there's no in between. Like, if our water truck break. And so we'll put. We'll be like, here are pictures from last week's race. And all you see is just dust. You don't see any cars or anything. You just see dust and like people covering their head and stuff. So, yeah, it's either the. The drivers are having to go through like 10 foot deep mud Holes or the track's so dry that you can't see the cars because the dust. So we have no, like, perfect balance. It's always one extreme or the other. At Weaver Valley.
Kenny Wallace
Yes. Complete exaggeration. And that's what makes comedy so good, is exaggerating.
Howard Weaver
Like, taking a real. We take a real situation and just, like, add a little more to it and then post it. And it looks real, but it's extreme.
Kenny Wallace
When. When the races would be over, and I. And I was a kid, I was with my brother, Rusty Wallace, we'd have this crowd gathered around, and Rusty would be telling this story, and he's lying. Well, he's not lying, Howard, but he's exaggerating to the maximum peak. And. And I would. The braver I got, the older I got, I'd step in the middle, and I'd become part of the show a little bit, too. And I said, rusty, that's not the way it went. And Rusty would look at me, and for everybody on Dirty Mo Media right now, Rusty. Rusty say, shut up, Herman. And he'd take his hand and put it right in front of my face, and he would say, it's my story. So Rusty would exaggerate these stories to the max. And when I realized part of the. The story is the exaggeration, then I shut up. And then I started doing it myself. And that's why I become such a fan of yours, because it's all true. It's just exaggerated. So the next one I want to go to. So I love Josh Carroll here at Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park. He bought the track from Schrader. They've been having a horrible time. They got water under the racetrack. They got this, like, this natural spring, and I feel horrible for them. I race there every Saturday night. This used to be one of the smoothest racetracks in America. It is the roughest track we've been on in ages. And Josh feels horrible. Now. One of your. Your last ones that I loved is you had a car in a crater hole.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Daryl posted that one. And that's kind of a regular occurrence. I was reading the comments on that one. He said something like. Someone commented something like, did he not see the cones that you had around it? And he's like. He's like. He's like, no, we put those up after he went in. So it's like we had nothing there to warn him. Like, the cones went up after the fact, but. So it's like. It's like in real life, you'll have these ruts. Like I saw the guy that flipped, I think it was i55 while he was in the lead or something.
Kenny Wallace
Jimmy Mars's boy.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, Sammy. And, and then yeah, like a couple days later that post came out. I don't know if he was inspired by that or if it was just another weekly race at Weaver Valley.
Kenny Wallace
But yeah, these are real occurrences, everybody. I mean, Jimmy Mars is boy, he goes into turn one at a heat race for a World of Outlaw race and he hits these holes at my local track. He bounces so bad that he flips over. I mean this, this is real stuff. It should not happen. So let's back up just a little bit because we got so much more funny things to talk about. Let's talk about. You favor the red clay on Weber Valley Speedway. So this Weber Valley Speedway, this fictitious track, where are you from? And, and I do know that the south loves their drinking. They don't like racing to get over until one in the morning. Tell me that whole vibe that you grew up in.
Howard Weaver
Well, I, I like the races. They end early, but yeah, it's like people think that they get their money's worth if it's not over until 2:00am where I'm like, I'm not even staying up that late. But. So I grew up in east southeast Kentucky, like a very, very poor county. And so we used to go to like Lake Cumberland Speedway, which is still around. We would go there like every week. But then we would also go to all the big Habitampa races. We would go to Eldora Pennsborough, Dixie Speedway for the Havatampa Shootout. We, we, we were more going to like the bigger races than the smaller ones like Bulls Gap and stuff like that. And so I just grew up around it, watched, I watched all the NASCAR races, truck races, everything back then. And every dirt track race I could find, which, you know, back then it was mostly you, you get a VHS copy of the tape at the next race you're at from a previous race. So. Or, or you could watch it on Speed Vision. Not really live, but that's kind of how I grew up in dirt track racing. And eventually we moved down here to Tennessee and finished out school here. And all of our tracks here are red clays. So I mean, Weber Valley had to be red clay too, I guess, or, or at least mud. So it was just, you know, based on our local tracks around here, like you said, they, they end at, you know, one or two in the morning. So he kind of parody that by saying like, we Guarantee our races will be over before church the next morning. And sometimes we even have church on church service on the ground after the race, you know, if we're cutting it close. So we'll just preach right there at Weaver Valley.
Kenny Wallace
What is it about the south that they like their dirt racing? And that's just part of it. Is it something in their childhood? You. You know, that area? It. What is the deal is what I'm trying to say. Why?
Howard Weaver
I don't know. I mean, I think it probably starts from, you know, with nascar, whenever the moonshine and days and stuff, you know, running through North Carolina and Tennessee probably has a lot to do with it. And then, you know, it. NASCAR wasn't even all that big until the 70s when they finally, you know, got on live TV. But I think a lot of it, you know, all that originated from North Carolina and kind of spread this way and then spread, you know, further west over time. So I'd say a lot of it probably has to do with that. And then, you know, my dad liked dirt track racing and everything. I don't think his parents. I think they were. He was adopted and his parents were like in their 70s or something when they adopted. So like really old. So he. He kind of is what started me into it. And then I raced go karts like as a kid. But I would just watch every NASCAR race with him on Sundays. Like every single lap, I would just be glued to the tv. And so I think it just kind of starts, you know, a generation or two prior to mine. Your parents, you know, they grew up on it. And then, you know, it's kind of like anything else. They pass it down. And since NASCAR kind of originated in the South, I feel like maybe it's more deeper ingrained here to start with, I guess.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah.
Howard Weaver
And that's kind of how it spread probably to the other areas more. But dirt track racing is. It feels like it's bigger here, but also like, I feel like Illinois and that area has a ton too now. Like, oh yeah, like dirt late model. The best dirt late model drivers. I feel like you. Which is bigger in the South. Dirt late models are. I feel like the best dirt late model drivers were kind of in this area. Like Bloomquist, Jimmy Owens. I can't even think of all of them, but like tons of Del McDell. All those are from this area. But now, like Illinois feels like Illinois and Tennessee are kind of the two states for big time dirt track racing right now.
Kenny Wallace
And. And I would say that Superman, Jonathan Davenport winning Fairberry and Kevin Rumley and Jacqueline from Canada, they got married, so. Oh, that's a good one right there, actually for Weber Valley. Jacqueline comes from Canada. She marries. She marries a country boy that is very sophisticated. Which is, which is Kevin Rumley. I've been around Kevin. That's, that's a whole show in itself.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, he's smart and.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, but, but weird as they come. So he's, he's, he's a redneck, you know, from right there around Richard Childress Racing. But he's got, like, he loves technology. So, you know, they win Fairberry with, with JD With Superman, and now the Southerners. The Southerners like Fairberry because when the races are over at the pdc, the Prairie Dirt Classic. The Prairie Dirt Classic in Fairberry, Illinois is now Southern. Like, because when the races are over, that's just the beginning. They party till morning time. And when Superman won that race, you know, he was driving for Rumley and now Rumley. So Jacqueline, his wife from Canada, they married. She's got him on Snapchat where he loves technology. He's got his own Tesla and he puts it in anonymous mode and it drives up to him. It was on Snapchat.
Howard Weaver
That's cool.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, that's a whole nother Weaver Valley Speedway right there.
Howard Weaver
So, so, okay, so we kind of already have done a post like that. We have, you know, Amish have the horse and carriages, right? So, yeah, we posted not long ago. We have like an electric horse and carriage. Like, the horse is electric too, and it's Tesla. So now we just, you know, check the track out on the, on the electric horse in Tesla and there's two Amish guys in the Tesla. And so, yeah, we've like, that's an example of how sometimes we'll use like technology from the 1800s and then the next week we'll have, you know, this future futuristic electric horse and stuff. So I don't know, it's every week, you know, we change it up. One week we'll be in like 1800s mode, and then the next month we got stuff that people have never seen before.

I love it because it's all out there. I mean, me, I'm, I'm a damn comedy me. You know, people can make fun of me. I laugh so loud. Oh, you know, I could see a wee Valley speed. Or I laugh and all the fans go deaf. You know, they got their hands over their ears and I'm blowing dirt all over them because Kenny Wallace is too loud or. But yeah, this comedy comes from every which way. So now here we are and I, I'm a big fan of yours. I watch it all and out of nowhere I see artificial intelligence AI now. I see it creeping up on Weber Valley Speedway. I watched it. Tell me the story how you learned and it does make it funny, you know, Tell me about how you got with the AI now.
Howard Weaver
Well, so originally we were, we were using like either real pictures or Photoshop. Like our local track here, Crossbill, they had like a little RC track around the back of the grandstands and it hadn't been used in a couple years, so it was grown up. So I would take pictures of that track and then try to make it look like a big track and say that was Weaver Valley. And then eventually the AI stuff started getting better and I was like, I'm spending hours, you know, photoshopping, like one picture that doesn't even look all that realistic. And so I started doing more stuff with the AI. And it's like just in the last year, the advances of AI is crazy with, even with the videos now with the sound and everything, like, like we've been posting lately, like those are crazy to me. And you know, a couple years ago I couldn't even imagine any of this. And now it's just like, oh, there's another video of Weaver Valley. But so we, we basically, we started using AI. It saves a lot of time and whatever idea comes in your brain, you can type it up and eventually get something that's close to what you're looking for. And it looks Like a real picture and post it up with whatever funny story you want to have, go along with it. So that's kind of what we do, I guess.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, I, I love it. It doesn't get any better. One of my favorite ones was where, you know, we go to the dirt tracks. I went to a racetrack out in Oakland, California. Antioch. Antioch.
Howard Weaver
I've heard of it.
Kenny Wallace
Okay. It's right there outside of Oakland, California. Like there's no way there's a racetrack here. But you're like going through the city and then all of a sudden there's a little fairgrounds. I showed up at this racetrack and this is real. And the racetrack's like getting ready to go. And there's gravel. I mean, there's gravel in the dirt. And I said, what about all these gravel? And they're like, oh, it, it sinks down in the dirt. I'm like, what? You know, I've gone to.
Howard Weaver
Or flies into the bleachers.
Kenny Wallace
Yes. I've gone to Monet, Monette, Missouri, Red clay. But I mean gravel. And it, you know, it hit one of my oil filters. One of my favorite with you is. Tell me about the one about a month ago it was a gravel racetrack.
Howard Weaver
Yeah. So like we, we've been doing this almost since the page started. We'll occasionally call in like dump trucks to haul and dump gravel on the track because it helps keep the dust down and like very few fans die or anything. So I mean, the trade off's worth it. You know, you lose a couple fans from getting hit. You know, 200 mile an hour piece of gravel hits them in the head, but the fact that it keeps the dust down makes it worth it. So, yeah, we'll, we'll, we'll occasionally post that we're getting a fresh load of gravel in and ticket prices are going to go up that week to cover the cost.
Kenny Wallace
The next one we need to do is we need to have fans wearing helmets to the racetrack because that way they don't get knocked out.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, bring your own. Or you can rent one from us for $15 because we got to make money too.
Kenny Wallace
Oh my God. I just, I just love it. Okay, let's, let's stay right on. AI. So I think racing is so, God, how do I say it? So crazy at times it's like, it's like these people are insulting my intelligence because they're talking so stupid. Like they're just dumb, like unreal. Like, we have this happen here at Tri City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. It's a comedy. It Rains. Kenny Schrader, myself agreed. It rained three inches in 30 minutes. And the fans are on the timeline, mad that we're not racing.
Howard Weaver
I saw that summer nationals the other day.
Kenny Wallace
So talk to me about, I love some of your tracks that they're flooded out, but we're still racing.
Howard Weaver
Yeah. So I see we get tagged in those comments all the time. Like the track will post a picture of their track and it's obviously underwater. And then people are like tagging us and they're like, weaver Valley would have still raced. Like you guys could have got it in. And we're like, you know, we're like, we don't even see where. We don't even see that it's wet. You know, the, the, the wetter it is at Weber Valley, the more likely we're going to race. We canceled. We can't. We did postpone or something the other day because the track was too dry. Like they were forecasting rain, but it hadn't came yet, so we had to delay as we were waiting for the rain to come in to add moisture to the track. So we're like the opposite of real life. Like we need the rain in order to race.
Kenny Wallace
And the comedy, the comedy in this is you're. We are making fun of the fans that it's, it's not. See what I've learned about race fans is they're not, they're not, they understand we're rained out, but damn it, they are so depressed, so bummed out that they just lash out.
Howard Weaver
Yeah.
Kenny Wallace
That, you know, they know you should be rained out. And, and Howard, that, that is the comedy right there where the fans know you're rained out. They know you can't race. You know, Shannon bab, Brandon Shepard, J.D. you know Ricky Thornton. They're not. Everybody agrees we're rained out. There's no way we're gonna race. But the fans, they're like NASCAR fans, they're pissed. So they're gonna get on social media and they're gonna bash the track that we, I guess if we were Eldora, we could pack the track in and start running heat races at 4 in the morning.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, they're, they're like, well, if you would have started six hours earlier, you knew the rain was coming in. It's like, it doesn't work like that. You know, people aren't at the racetrack yet or anything. They, they, there's like no way that especially in the summertime, you can't really predict these pop up storms. Like I was looking at the forecast for Trash city that day and it's like a 15% chance of rain. And then like you said, they get like three inches in 30 minutes. So. But fans are like, oh, you knew it was going to rain like last month and you still decided to have this race. Like they'll, they'll find any way they can to still blame the track for something that they, there was like no chance that they could have either predicted or fixed. So Weber Valley is just like the opposite. If it, if it, if they're forecasting 6 inches of rain, we're like, wow, it's going to be a good week for racing for us. Everybody's got umbrellas out there and we're doing it.
Kenny Wallace
My, my favorite part about dirt racing, and it is pure comedy and listen, everybody, once again, this is a disclaimer. We love dirt racing. My favorite part too is when you're a professional fan, you walk into the racetrack with your clip on seat and your goggles. I mean, you, you are a per, you are a professional dirt race. So these guys go to Eldora, they sit down there and turns three and four. They got their clip on seats, they got their, they got their goggles and they're ready. The normal people's like, what the hell are you doing? Or going to the dirt races. You know, it's, it's like a kid going to a baseball game with his glove, which seems harmless, but when you're going somewhere with goggles, it's like, what the hell are you doing?
Howard Weaver
You're prepared.
Kenny Wallace
This is normal.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, those people, those are people that have been long enough and they, they don't care what other people think at that point. They're just whatever makes the race enjoyable for them, I guess. So like, like I'll wear ear plugs at the races and people make fun of me, but I'm like, hey, I want to keep my hearing for a few more years. I, I already have like tinnitus. Yeah, I already have bad enough tinnitus. Like anything I can do to like slow, slow down even more hearing loss, then I'll do it.
Kenny Wallace
Oh my God, so true. I just got back from the Mayo Clinic, got a full physical and they put me in these, these big chambers. They did a real deal and they said, well, we recognize you have slight hearing loss and there's some letters you don't hear. I'm like, what?
Howard Weaver
Like those letters?
Kenny Wallace
Okay, so the, the next thing, and this is comedy. When I was a child, I would go to the grocery store with my, my mama Judy and my mama's still living. She's awesome. But back in the day, you'd get to the counter to pay for your food and there was this fake newspaper called the National Enquirer. And it would be like, barefoot lives with family in mountains. And by God, you'd buy it. You'd buy the newspaper and you would read the fake news. It's like, what, what am I doing? I know.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, I was, I was like 10, 15 years old at that point. But that was like, even at my age, that was kind of the entertainment we had back then. You know, you didn't have the Internet and all that. So we would, yeah, I would, I would see those on the, at the checkout line and I'd be like, oh, man, this bat boy thing looks interesting. I kind of want to see what it's all about. Even though I know it's fake. You know, it's like, what dumb stuff are they gonna make up and put in there? So, yeah, I, I, even as I was a kid, I would, you know, I would rather read something like that than like People magazine or something because, you know, it's fake. But like, they got the fake pictures and stuff and the stories are so ridiculous. It's like, it's like, okay, like, who's, who's smoking something before they post all this?
Kenny Wallace
So I'm gonna, I'm gonna set this up for you and then we're gonna talk about it. I'm getting a little jealous because our, our competitors from India, the people from India, now they've invaded Facebook.
Howard Weaver
Yes.
Kenny Wallace
So let me just tell you my story. So I said, jokingly, I said, 75 of the NASCAR fans love NASCAR. Other 25%, they hate NASCAR because they're old and miserable to never be happy. So this India site, they, they take this artificial intelligent voice, they take my, my real deal, but then they match it up to Mexico City and they say, Kenny Wallace mars the NASCAR event. Because I said that. And I'm like, okay, I said that, but, but how did I mar the Mexico event? Well then, then I started looking and I'm like, I'm jealous. At the time, they had like 200,000 views. So I called Charlie up, I'm Charlie. I said this India based deal that they, they really roughed me up, which is fine, but damn it, they're making money off of me. I said, how do we get into AI? So my question to you is this. I'm seeing all this crazy AI fake stuff about Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch. Tell me your stories.

Howard Weaver
Yeah, so like we, we talked about, but I'm seeing especially when we log in as Weaver Valley because we get more racing stuff on our feed. But I, I can't think of all the page names but it's like they'll, they'll use the different driver every day for the same article. But it's like it's an AI picture of say Kyle Larson or something and he's like shedding the tear.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, yeah, it's like it's a fake tear.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, Kyle. And it's like obvious fake but it's like Kyle Larson saves family of orphans from burning orphanage or something. See what happens next. And then like in all the comments it's like I knew I liked him for a reason and it's like everyone's believing him. It's like how, how do you believe this? And it, I don't know, it's like Chase Elliot rescues baby that fell out of a crib or something. It's like this, it's like ridiculous stuff. One of them I saw was Kyle Busch drove by this woman in Akron, Ohio every day for a month. Yes. During racing season. I don't know why he's in Akron, Ohio and saw she was homeless or something and like rescued her and gave her like a million dollars or something. And they got like 20,000 likes on them and it's like, okay, so Weber Valley is like Way more believable than whatever this is. But, like, all the comments are like, dang, I might have to start rooting for Kyle Busch now. I didn't know he was, you know, this huge super Christian, like, helpful guy or whatever. And then others, you know, they're like, I still don't like the little bastard. But it's like none of them are, like, questioning that this may not have actually happened. Especially when NASCAR is racing in, like, Las Vegas or somewhere that week. Housing in Akron, Ohio, like, saving some homeless lady. Well, like, all the comments. Oh, and the whole time whenever he's in the picture rescuing these people from the roadway, he's wearing his full fire suit and everything. It's like, they're like, it's like, okay, so he just wears his fire suit out on a Tuesday, like, you know, everywhere he goes.
Kenny Wallace
And, and, and I mean, okay, so here's another one. I'm eating lunch at Cyberg's up here. You know, I mean, this is real. This is real. I'm eating lunch. My phone. My buddy Ron, he texted me a picture of. He says, herman, this is something to talk about on Coffee with Kenny. And it's, It's. It's Bubba Wallace. He says he's not racing NASCAR anymore until they get rid of the white flag.
Howard Weaver
Oh, I saw that one too.
Kenny Wallace
I said, ron, that's fake. And, and then I'm. Then I'm sitting here at night, like at 10 o' clock at night, and my wife like, is this. Oh, my God. What? I said, Kim, are you. You went through. You are an A student? Yes, to my wife. Honey, you made A's in school and you're wanting to know if this is real. What is it? What is it, Howard?
Howard Weaver
Yeah, I, I saw the white flag one too. Like the ones about Bubba. Like, they, they. The people that post is like, they know which drivers like you like or hate. So, so the articles, if everyone likes Chase Elliott, seems like. So any article about him, he's rescuing heroic. And then Bubba Wallace said something like that. Like, he's like, protesting this or that. Yeah. And, and it's stupid stuff, like the white flag. Like, people, it's. And they're like, all the reactions are like angry acts and, you know, like, kick him out of the sport, you know. Yeah, we need the white flag. Damn it. How else do we know when the race is about to end?
Kenny Wallace
Oh, my friend.
Howard Weaver
But yeah, I've been seeing those, like, every week. And it's like they get way, way, way more popular than anything that we even post, and it's like, who. Who's believing all this?
Kenny Wallace
And it's all. It's. So my wife says to me something last night, and I said, kim, look at the bottom. Does it say Based in India? She goes, yeah. I said, oh, yeah, there you go.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, they don't know anything except, you know, they'll Google something about nascar and then like, oh, they don't seem to like this driver. Let's post something saying how he did something evil. And then, you know, everyone will be reacting to it and then sharing it to their page. But, yeah, I saw the white flag, and I see Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Bubba Wallace, everyone I've seen. I think I saw one positive one about Bubba Wallace. And then, you know, people are still like, I'll still never like him. I don't care how many people he saves from drowning. But, yeah, it's the funniest stuff, though. It's like, I can't even think of the stuff that they're coming up with. And everyone in the comments are. Are just taking it at its word even. You know, they don't see the Based in India or whatever it says, and they just share it, and it justifies their beliefs in who they like or dislike. You know, it kind of confirms whatever they think in their head already. So they're going to share it and be like, you know, I knew I like this driver. I knew this guy sucked. And now this only confirms my suspicions.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, he don't like the white flag. That's why.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, yeah, you can get out of our country then.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah.
Howard Weaver
It'S like every. Every day I see a new one pop up, and I don't know, I just start dying laughing. Like, I wonder why these people are thinking when they type this up. Like, these Indian people, like, are they laughing or are they like, yeah, are they laughing like everyone else? Or are they, like, trying to. It's like they post something that's somewhat believable, but also at the same time, it's obviously fake if you know, you know what to look for. But, like, people eat it up, I guess. So I don't know. That might be your new strategy when you.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, it's working right now. I mean, yeah, it's like my new one. And everybody watching this, and they know it, they go with it because they love it. I call them the old people. Well, I pissed them off right away, so I'm like, oh, it pisses them off. I'm gonna keep doing it. So, you know, you got to keep stirring the pot, you know, People, they act like they want to let me know that I'm stirring the pot. I'm like, look, we all know I'm stirring the pot. They send me these memes, you know, where they think they get me? Oh, Herman, stirring the pot. I'm like, duh, Big red truck.
Howard Weaver
So that's what I'm here for.
Kenny Wallace
That's what I'm here for, you know? And then I'm like, you know, back in the. The Fred Sanford, the. The skits, you know, his son was Lamont.
Howard Weaver
He would.
Kenny Wallace
He would look at Lamont, and he'd go, you big dummy. So then I started using, you dummy. You know, then I'd have to explain to people. And then. Then the old people, they go, oh, yeah, I love that. You know, the comedy, it's out there every day for us. And I mean, like, you know, I said, okay, look, everybody. There were some. They wanted to kill me. You know, I'm like, simmer down, Simmer down. Old people means the generation from past. We can't go back. And everything out of your mouth is, they need to bring the old Atlanta back. I'm like, okay, think about what you just said. What are we gonna do? Terrorists? How do we do that? How do we bring the old Atlanta back?
Howard Weaver
We gotta build a time machine at this point.
Kenny Wallace
We got to get the old asphalt.
Howard Weaver
I mean, it's got you back together.
Kenny Wallace
We need to bring the old NASCAR back. Pearson's gone. Junior Johnson's gone. These great. They're. They're dead, everybody. You know what I mean? We need to bring the old. I'm like, you're 75. And then that pisses them off, you know?
Howard Weaver
So, yeah.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, and Mark Martin, he just piled on for me. So Mark's pissed. Mark Martin's man. I'm like, mark, come on the show, and Mark killed me. It was comedy. I had to hold a straight face. Mark's like. They got these catchy names, like playoffs. Well, first of all, we are not playing. It was the greatest.
Howard Weaver
He's making fun on the fly.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, he was serious. We're not playing overtime. It is not overtime, all right? There's not two cars on the track. I'm like, mark.
Howard Weaver
Oh, I saw that. But, hey, those are perfect for little short clips for you to cut out.
Kenny Wallace
Like, oh, Charlie was killing it.
Howard Weaver
Yeah. Making, like, quick puns and stuff. And it's Mark Martin. Everybody loves him. So whatever he says, you know, it'll. They like it.
Kenny Wallace
They like it.
Howard Weaver
I like. I used to. I used to get, like, upset when People would get mad or. Or say, this is stupid on our posts or whatever. But, like, after a while, like, I like those as much as the ones that say how funny it is and stuff, because as long as they're saying something, then it's. It's a good thing. Like, if they stop caring completely, then, you know, that's whenever it's. It's time to move on to something else. But, like, my. So my girlfriend will share the post into these dirt racing groups. Yeah, because most of the people on the page realize at this point that it's, you know, just satire or. Or not really real life, but just based on real life. But whenever they end up in those dirt racing groups, like, everything. Dirt racing and stuff like that, every we. It could be about aliens abducting one of our drivers. And every comment believes it. And they're like, God, I'm glad I wasn't at the track that night. That's scary. And so, like, I love going on those posts, like, whenever it gets shared into those groups and reading the comments, because there's certain places that somehow haven't heard of the page. And when you go on there, like, every comment is serious, and they're always, like, super mad at whatever is shared in there from Weaver Valley because they. Because, you know, we'll. We'll find a driver for the most stupid thing, like wearing mismatched socks or something. And they believe everything that we put in there. And so it makes it better to be like, even if they're saying something bad or good, it's still funny.
Kenny Wallace
Well, and. And the great thing about this is, in reality, you know, the late, great, you know, Scott Bloomquist, Bloomer, he had everybody. He believed in aliens, you know, and. And so you have that group that, like, damn it, we are not the only thing in the world. There. There. There is aliens out there. So the. The comedy makes people think. Hey, I want to say this, Howard. When I. When I do meet great comedians, when I meet them in real, they tend to be a little quiet and brilliant because you got to have your eyes and ears and your brain. You got to be in tune with what's going on in society. So I find you brilliant. I think you're very smart.
Howard Weaver
Thank you.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah, we are. You really are. Your eyes and ears are open, aren't they? You see the craziness out there.
Howard Weaver
Yeah. Like, my. My mind. Like, I think you had. You. You said you have adhd. I think I do, too. But my, like, my mind is always. I'll see something in real Life. And I'll try to take a picture of it and, and I'll be like, it's, it's like an idea that pops in my head for the page or something. Or I'll see something on Facebook. Like it's, it may not be related to racing or anything but the situation or the way that it's described. I'm like, this would be perfect if I can somehow like twist it into something for Weaver Valley or something. And so like, I'm always like watching or looking for something and trying to get inspiration or an idea from what I see or hear. Just like I said, whenever I, I'll see real tracks, post something that probably, they probably shouldn't post, they always end up taking them down after an hour or so after all the backlash. So I gotta be quick whenever I see it. And then I'll just like screenshot it and send it to myself. And I'm like, okay, we could do this, whatever this scenario is at Weber Valley. And then we just exaggerated a little bit and make it into our style and then post it on there. No matter what situation I'm in, especially with how much we post nowadays, it's like, I gotta, I'm, I'm constantly thinking of something that happens in real life. I'm. I'm watching in real life that something and paying attention to that. And then like you said earlier, like slightly exaggerate it and turn it into like a Facebook post. And it's just on the edge of being like, believable enough that you know, if you get the right crowd of people, they'll believe anything you post. Like I said. So it's, it's whenever like one post takes off and blows up, that's when you start seeing people who have never found the page before and they'll believe anything that they see. And that's like my favorite moments is whenever that happens. Like, did you see our Google Street View car videos?
Kenny Wallace
I don't think I have yet.
Howard Weaver
Well, we posted a video of a Google Street View car. Maybe Charlie can find it after and add it into the podcast. But a Google Street View car was racing at Weber Valley and he won the race with it. But he didn't know he was in the race. He was just like doing the little Street View thing. And so we interview him after the race and he's like some, he's like some nerdy, you know, dorky looking guy. And the interviewer is like, you lapped, you lapped everything but three cars. How'd you do it? And he's like. He's like, I don't know. I was just mapping the area for street view. So he's like $1 50 or whatever the prize was. And like that post got like 4 million views or something.
Kenny Wallace
Jesus.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, like, all the people were. Were commenting and saying, is this real life? And like, I can't believe this happened. And. And that kid's. That kid's got a career in racing or something and doesn't even know it any. Anytime they get outside our little world into people who've never seen it before. Like, those are my favorite posts because all your comments end up from. From people who have never seen it before. And, you know, they. They eat it up or believe it all and it makes it, like, more worth it to scroll through the comments and everything.
Kenny Wallace
Do you think that people are kind of. Kind of on a serious note here? Do you think people are so depressed that they're just looking for something? Because when I look at the Savannah Bananas, a fake baseball team, okay, no different than the Harlem Globetrotters back in my day. So the Savannah Bananas, they have another team that they hire, that they play. They're all involved. It. It's selling out stadiums. It's fake, but it's funny. They're. They're laughing, they're playing music. Then you look at wrestling. Like wrestling. Wrestling is fake. They tell you nowadays. And fake wrestling. But they're great athletes. They're great athletes. It's fake. Savannah Bananas. It's fake. What is it that attracts people to things that are fake, not real? Is real competition too brutal on all of us? What is it?
Howard Weaver
I think they just. The closer that the. The fake thing is to real life, the more likable it is because.
Kenny Wallace
I.
Howard Weaver
Feel like if it's like super, super fake, it's. It's so far off the spectrum that they may not like it as much, but the closer it is to reality while still being fake. It is kind of like that line that you got to hang around and that's. That's what people seem to really like because it's like, this can happen in real life, or it does happen in real life, but they're just taking it up to like a, you know, one more notch or whatever. And so you gotta hang on that line of, like, edge of believability and then just being completely fake. So I feel if. If it's like super, super believable and boring, they don't really care so much. If it's super, super fake and obvious. They don't care so Much. But if you can kind of like teeter that line, like you said, with the Savannah Bananas, like, I don't even watch baseball, but I'll. I, like, I'll watch them and their little dances and stuff.
Kenny Wallace
They are talented. They're talented.
Howard Weaver
Like, yeah, it's like wrestling takes. Wrestling takes skill. Comedy takes skill. Baseball takes, like, even being, like, a fake baseball team. Harlem Globetrotters takes a ton of skill. And so it's like, they're funny, but they're also talented. And so I think people can see, like, the hard work and stuff that people put into the stuff, because it's not just the pictures and stuff that are funny on Weaver Valley. It's like, the descriptions to go along with the picture.
Kenny Wallace
Yeah.
Howard Weaver
Like, we had one, you know Reed Timmer, the meteorologist, storm chaser.
Kenny Wallace
Yes.
Howard Weaver
So we were having that. We were having. He shared the. He shared, like, our posts and everything from this, but we were having, like, tornadoes back in April. And so we supposed to. Of course, Weaver Valley's racing that day still. That's not going to cancel it. Yeah, yeah. We post a picture with his little dominator storm chaser parked in the infield at Weaver Valley. Like, he was going to be racing there that day. And there's like a tornado in the background. And so we post something like, wow. It's pretty cool that even with all the tornadoes around today that Reed Timmer chose to come here and watch the races instead when it's obvious he was there chasing storms. But we just completely ignore that and say he's there for the racing or whatever. And then, you know, tornado hits, but Weber Valley keeps racing. You know, if it sucks a few cars up, that's just more entertaining.
Kenny Wallace
They'll go to Alien Land.
Howard Weaver
And then I think later we made a post of Reed Timber in Victory Lane. Like, he won the race. It was just like, you know, we're like, it's crazy with all the tornadoes in the Midwest that he took the day off to come watch racing at Weber Valley.
Kenny Wallace
Oh, my God. You know what? And. And we're going to end like that because you. You said it right. You said it right. People are looking for an outlet light. Light is hard enough. And when we can stay close to believability. But yet, if the Savannah Bananas can sell out a stadium, if wrestling can sell out stadiums, by God, we can have fun. And that's right. Right. That's why I say you are my double. I grew up like that. I love life. I'm a serious competitor. You and I are Very serious people. But when we look around, we're like, you got to be kidding me.
Howard Weaver
Yeah, you gotta find stuff to laugh at.
Kenny Wallace

And let's end like that. I forgot about that. Somebody come up to me to a racetrack and they said, kenny, would you like to interview Weber Valley Speedway creator? I said, oh, he don't want his face to be shown. And I said, so finally we hooked up and, you know, you took your time. We talked about it. So there he is, everybody, the face behind Weber Valley Speedway. And hopefully Howard explained to you his childhood, where this comedy came from. And once again, it's the Savannah bananas and wrestling and the comedy that you all create for us. Every day. It rained three inches. I can't believe we're not racing. That's comedy.
Howard Weaver
Yep. Real life is funnier than fiction.
