He's heartbroken. Lost control of the track surface, and he had his kid or somebody sticking this. This pole, and they got water underneath the turns, and. And he says, you know, this pole should not go in three feet. So the track was soft, and we bounced through it, and 23 cars started, seven finished. Oh, boy. But listen. Yeah. What? Forget about me for a minute. Yes. I'm in Cabo because, like, Kenny, you're the one that taught me I have a calendar. And I said, okay, June, July, August is all me. I'm going dirt racing. So basically, this is my last hurran. I'm going June. This June. Yeah. But I know you did some good stuff. I can't wait to hear what you did, Kenny.

We. We wasn't real. Good week. We. We went to Moberly Tuesday night. We won there. We went to another track Friday night, and we made the decision to load up after the heat race, which the car owner was really mad with with the driver because he. The car owner, wanted to load up before the heat race.

But anyway, hold on, everybody that don't understand the joke. Kenny Schrader is the driver.

Yeah. I knew I need to load up before, but it just is just one of the things that, you know, the track got away from a little bit. And then Saturday had a good friend, Steve Sinclair, does a lot with K and K Insurance. He was getting inducted to the National Sprint Car hall of Fame. I think it was Eight people get inducted every year. And I went up there, and they had USAC sprint cars, so I got to watch them Saturday. And 410 wing sprint cars. Ryan Tims one Saturday night, and Ryan Tim, that was one of his three in a row that weekend. And then, son, the best part was yesterday morning. Got to eat breakfast with Johnny Rutherford for an hour.

She won her 18th Top Fuel race and she ties the ladies. And the most historical lady racer, she ties Shirley Cha chamil Downey at 18 for the ladies. What else do you know, Kenny, about that?

IndyCar sold out. NHRA, they were lined up forever to get into Epping, New Hampshire yesterday. World Outlawry. I mean, dude, we got a lot of our sport and I'm talking about that's just running motorized vehicles. You know, straight line, circles, whatever. It's not all that bad right now.

You know, somebody will realize soon that I was right. I just did this deal last week. I said, okay, what happened across the world, because Memorial Day was a little more epic than normal. And now it's carrying on. Charlie, do you, do you, I mean, I mean, I know you're really in racing, but somebody a fan of other sports, do you see auto racing just period? I mean, I, I, I'm like Kenny, I just, for some reason, auto racing is up, up.

I feel like the last several years F1 has taken such a, a surge. And then NASCAR. I, I, I really do think the Amazon prime, the, the TV coverage is fantastic. The Earnhardt documentary, obviously Indy 500 was last week. That's the peak of everything for, for IndyCar. And then NHRA is one of those sports where obviously it's very popular, a little more niche, but when you have a huge name like Tony Stewart bringing more eyeballs to that, I, I do feel like you have all those series certainly trending higher than I can think in a long time.

So what I'm hearing from him, Kenny, is that something I forget. You, you for nascar, you got, and I'm going to add, you got Cletus McFarlane, you got prime, which brings in a younger demographic, you know, the kids with the apps. Yeah, yeah. I mean, the racing's good and we're going to get to Nashville. It was, it was a wild one.

Saturday night, I run fourth, and then Sunday we came right to where I'm at. We traveled down here. We're in Cabo. I got a lot of good friends around me right now. I'm super happy, really relaxed. They're making Gio and Monica and they're. I wish I could take it and show you. Right now this place is to die for. And this is where Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrick and anybody can come here. It's called Villa Las Palmas. Cabo, you know, it's right up from San. You can look out and there's Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wobble right at the bottom here. And boy, it's a nice place. So. So, yeah, that's what I did. I sped mine up a little bit. Mine is not as sighting as Kenny Schrader getting to hang out with Johnny Rutherford. That's badass.

Yours is pretty trick. You weren't driving a Silverado all week. My motorcycle was breaking down on the way up to try, so I. No, I took a new little bike I got and it was, it was giving me reason to turn around and go back and get a pickup because I didn't, I didn't want to be broke down on Highway 63 and Iowa.

And, Kenny, anytime Ryan Blaney wins, you got to think of his dad, because it's such a great racing family.

Oh, yeah. I mean, Dave. Dave never got the. It just didn't work out right in the cup deal. But Dave Blaney is one of the most talented guys you know there is. I mean, he won an outlaw show, like, two years ago.

You know, and he was outlaw champion. He was a USC silver crown champion. And. And he had. He was in position and something always happened to win cup races, and he was just. He just fantastic fan. He was always on top of my list, and he was. He's great.

And Victor Laney fired up a stogie, you know, just old school, you know, like. Like, old man sitting around, you know, an Italian bar with a wine, and it's like he's firing up a cigar, man. So Ryan Blaney fires up a cigar. I don't know when he did it, but he did it. And he's just a cool character. Ryan is. And how old is Ryan now, Charlie? Is he 33, maybe.

Okay. So little stat that's worthy of talking about. The captain. He did not win the Indianapolis 500 this year. Roger Penske did not win the Indianapolis 500 this year, but he's got it going on. All Penske cars have won a cup race. You got Blaney, Joey Logano, Austin Cindric, and we're including Josh Berry in there. That is the Wood Brothers car, but it is in the Penske shop. Wow. I mean, you know, just a little something there. Kenny and Charlie, the captain's got to feel comfortable this it, you know, if something surprising doesn't happen there, you know, they're ready to go for the playoffs and now they're just going to fine tune their craft and just win more races.

When you get four teams and it's mid season and all four of them have won, wow, that's pretty big. Potentially they could be the four in the playoffs.

Oh, that is another subject. We bonded really good at Rockingham, but you and I Knew it. We knew it. But they finally officially put Rockingham up for sale. But we knew that.

They wrecked, they raced. Let's go to the racing first. There was a part in this race where it's like, how can this concrete surface race this good? We had Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, William Byron putting on a classic they couldn't. You know, Hamlin hung on the outside hard. They'Re going to keep tweaking on it. We've been tweaking on these cars, you know, since NASCAR started, and they're going to continue to tweak on them. And they just, you know, 90% of the time changes they make are far the better. And when make one that doesn't do have the results you want is back up and change it again later. But it doesn't make any difference what the car is. These guys are going to put on a good show regardless. But they're obviously doing it in a lot of different type of facilities.

Then you go to Charlotte, and it's a barn burner. Chastain does a slide job on Byron for the win with six to go. They're up at the other on the wall. That was the. By the way, Charlie and Kenny, what you Know, it's like the ratings 2point something million on the prime app. But Gluck does his poll. 30, 40,000 people. It was one of those 90, 10 races, 90% of the people. Kenny Schrader said Charlotte was awesome. It's fun to see him on the wall, wasn't it? It's kind of like Eldora.

The headline of the article is YouTube star Cletus McFarland could drive for prospective Ram NASCAR Truck Series team and I'll just read the first sentence here says YouTube star and ARCA driver Cletus McFarlane could get involved with the prospective new NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team from Stellantis. Their Ram Brand should the automaker complete talks to enter the sport, according to Ford, people familiar with the matter and a document seen by the Sports Business Journal. So they're in talks.

So I'm not, I'm not saying, I'm not saying Cletus is, is bigger than NASCAR because NASCAR is a billion dollar industry. But on YouTube, and from a media standpoint, when you're talking about whether it's Facebook, he's big on TikTok. He's huge on, on YouTube. I mean, this dude is a superstar. He's a sensation. And that article, they kind of called him the Jake Paul of racing. Now, to me, Jake Paul's a jerk and Cletus isn't. But I don't think that's what they meant. They meant more of like, here's a dude, Jake Paul, what he did to boxing. You know, you can make the case that Jake Paul is the biggest boxer and he's not even really a boxer. And I think that's the comparison. That Cletus could be the most famous NASCAR driver who's not really a Cup guy. Right. He's just a guy who loves racing. But he's that popular.
