Previously, Pilar served as Editor-in-Chief of Condé Nast Traveler and held the same position at Martha Stewart Living. She was also the founding editor of Cookie magazine.

Pilar currently lives in Manhattan with her husband, Chris Mitchell, with whom she wrote the best-selling home décor book, “Patina Modern.”
