Jeri Ellsworth has been widely known in retrogaming circles as a hardware wizard on platforms such as the C64, VIC-20, and ZX81. Beyond that, she's built a career on designing computer chips and systems for large companies as well as fun gaming projects. In this episode of Hungry Trilobyte, Jeri settles in for a conversation about the current dismal state of the tech industry (my words, not hers) and how her optimism and creativity might point us geeks in the direction of better days ahead. Just as an example, she tells us about Tilt Five and her venture into Augmented Reality. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
After giving the Hungry Trilobyte audience a taste of "SWAT – Secret Wizard Assault Team" in episode 189, Justin returns to announce the comic is finished and ready to roll! He and I also examine the importance of fanfic and the many different ways it can be retooled into totally original works. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
Earl Baylon is a cool guy who has mastered writing, acting, and generally is a "Hungry Trilobyte" kind of guy. He's publishing a new comic and needs your support at Wondercon! — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
Known across Instagram and TikTok for her scathing reviews of thrift store clothing finds (as well as ludicrous ultra-high-end offerings most of us never see!) RefashionedHippie comes to Hungry Trilobyte to give a different tale. Not too long ago, a fan reached out to her, asking about a perfume bottle of great importance, and the whole community pulled together to find it. This led the two of us to talk about community, sustainability... and Star Trek! — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
John Vorhaus (previously on episodes 92 , 120, and 168) is about to drop a bombshell: he's written a follow-up to his classic book, The Comic Toolbox. With his new book, The Comedy Writer's Companion, John reviews his earlier advice with the benefit of another 30 years of experience-- both professional experience as well as life experience. In this episode, John and I talk about how the two books relate to each other, how sitcoms and comedy writing is an essential skill, and how the most essential skill of all is to be true to who you are. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
We last saw Braxton not too long ago in Episode 207, but today he's ready to talk about a project that's a grand achievement even for him-- a two-part series based on the life of Yasuke, the historical 16th-century African Samurai. After becoming fascinated with the concept of the character, Braxton did the real-life research into who he was and found the basis for a historical fiction novel, which he then paired with a fantasy-laden comic book extension. This was the PERFECT concept for a Hungry Trilobyte chat, in which the two of us ponder how much creative freedom one can have with known real-world people, and how much available facts shape that. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
The last time we spoke with Bat (Episode 192) he told some great stories about his grandfather, Golden Age comic artist Howard Boughner. This time around, we have more contemporary matters to discuss: the potential sale of Warner Bros. Studios to Netflix… or potentially Paramount, or someone else. While Bat and I share the concerns of many people as to how Netflix would treat the WB library, we have more pressing concerns about the general trend of comic book movies and the weight genre movies have put on the film industry as a whole. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig

Nick Edwards is wrapping up his THIRD kickstarter, and he has a wild concept: a horror one-shot that's budget priced, but has great artwork. Nick joins Hungry Trilobyte today to talk crowdfunding, comics, and maybe a little about the afterlife? — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
Dan Henk is a multi-talented genre fan who has put his passion into writing, illustration, tattoo art, and blends of all the above. Today he comes to Hungry Trilobyte to talk about his upcoming illustrated anthology series, Down Highways in the Dark. Being a fan of anthology fiction myself, I can't help but bring up Twilight Zone. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
Gregg Berger is a voice actor who cares deeply about the fact that he's voiced some timeless characters in long-running franchises, such as Grimlock from Transformers and Odie from Garfield. Gregg has also voiced a few more esoteric roles such as Cornfed Pig on Duckman. In this episode of Hungry Trilobyte, I get to ask Gregg about what it's like to be on the ground floor of such massive franchises, as well as what it's like to collaborate with other voice talent when you can't even be in the same room. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on BlueSky & Instagram - @AaronBossig
