Planted Materials is taking algae that was previously considered waste, and turning it into cleaning products such as aquarium cleaners and soaps. The company was started only a year ago, but has already shipped their first product at www.greenwaterlabs.com, sold 2.5K units, and generated more than $60K in revenue. In 2023, they will continue to increase sales of their aquarium cleaner and focus R&D efforts on new products such as soaps and paper.
