Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterine cavity. This ectopic tissue can implant in various body areas, including the ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic peritoneum, and even the lungs.

The estimated cost for egg freezing can range from $8,000 to $15,000 per cycle, not including medication costs, which can range from $4,000 to $6,000, and annual storage fees of $500 to $1,000.

Egg freezing timelines

An AMH test measures levels of anti-mullerian hormone, which corresponds to your egg count. Liana’s was very low.

A follicle count, specifically an antral follicle count (AFC), estimates the number of eggs a woman has remaining in her ovaries, indicating her ovarian reserve; each follicle typically contains only one egg.
