All right, as we wait for the returns in the primaries that are happening today, I want to do a little check in with the MAGA Christian men. Kylie, let's pop up the first slide. Shawn Davis has a Little seminar on September 26th in Cooksville, Tennessee called Muscular Christianity Equipping the Church for Spiritual Warfare. For those of you listening, it has a picture of every single man that they that is going to be doing this presentation of muscular Christianity. And all of these people are the typical crusty white pink arm men. And we have a full body shot of Shawn Davis. Will you pop that up, Kylie? I mean it's. How gay are they gonna get without. Without being gay? Like muscular Christianity? I mean, like what are they. Remember that whole all. I remember all these men in Oklahoma did this like Million Man Christian march.

All this homo social that they do because they're so sexually repressed and they're. They know they're such insufficient men.

Here's the deal. Of all things to name it. You get these squirrely little tiny guys and you call it muscular. Like that. False advertising if I've ever seen it. And I'm so sick. I, I am just sick to death. I've had it with. We have to show our masculinity and we're so masculine and we're real men. Just had it. If you have to put down everybody else to feel good about yourself, I automatically know that you're a prick, you're shitty in bed and you do not feel good about yourself. Like, you don't have to have a muscular conference for me to figure all that out. And it's just like, what is wrong with the men that sign up for this? Like, look at that guy. And are like, boy, he's. He's my muscular man. He, he's where I want to go. And I'm with you. It looks like a bunch of gay ball, you know, just a bunch of gay men hanging out together. Like, seriously, sorry.

Like, these are the door. I mean, there's. The gay men I know are way more put together.

Yeah, I apologize. There's no.

Let me just say that. But here's. Here's what I think that people that don't live in the Bible belt need to understand about these types of men is these men are severely, severely broken. And they have been severely abused by their parents and their church. They have been told that they're not good, that they're born bad. They've been told that sex is bad. They've never had a robust sexual education where they understand what sex is. It's just bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad to think about it, bad to look at it, bad to do it until all of a sudden you're married and then it's this, you know, gift from God. Well, the brain doesn't work that way. So these people are severely emotionally stunted. And science shows that people that are overtly religious like this are far less intelligent than those who aren't. So the fact that they came up with muscular Christianity, and we know that science tells us that men like this have a much lower IQ than secular critical thinkers. Of course they come up with muscular Christianity and they don't realize it's like a self own. As to just how homosocial the whole event is, is. Well, this event's official description says America is on the verge of a collapse because of paganism, secularism, nihilism, Islam and more. And that the only cure is robust, muscular Christianity. And so when you just see these guys, this robust, muscular Christianity. Here's my thing about Christianity, this type, this section is if it's so great, then you just live it, but they know it's not. And so there's this impulsivity to recruit to, like try to satiate this itch where they know something severely wrong. Well, if this person's a Christian too, then this won't feel so weird. And this person, you know, goes to this mega church where our pastor has all of this shit, then it won't feel so weird. And then obviously, one of the biggest pastors we're dealing with right now is Doug Wilson, and he's the pastor for Pete Hexseth. And Doug Wilson is batshit beyond all batshit. And he comes out with this banger of a quote. Pop this up, Kylie. He says, this is going to be interesting. Because I'm a Bible guy. If you go through the law of Moses, you won't find any legal prescription of lesbianism. This brings us up against the difference between a sin and a crime.

There are things that manifestly sinful for every Bible believing Christian, which I believe ought not be criminal. You don't have any penalty in the Old Testament attached to the lesbian behavior. I would have been, it would have been considered a sin, a form of sexual immorality, but not criminal. And I think this is what you call, tell us you watch girl on girl porn without telling us you watch girl on girl porn. And Doug, it's okay. Like if that's your kink, it's okay. But if you notice the people surrounding Trump are very obsessed with gender and sexuality and sex it on a scale that is not normal. Listener, viewer, think about the times you're on the phone with your or at, at dinner with friends. Not everybody's just sitting there talking about sex and gender. You don't have to talk about it because you just live it. You have sex with your partner, your spouse, or maybe you're into one night stands or what, and, but you don't have to sit there and talk about it. These people have to talk about it all the time because they can't enjoy it because they've been so abused by this sect of Christianity, which is the, you know, stems off from the 1980s mega church boom. And this is where all of the white nationalists, this is where it all lives. And they want to control women and men having sex. And here's, here's the truth of it. If they control, there's, let's say that there's no more gay sex, let's say there's no more lesbian sex, let's say there's no more trans. These people are still broken. They're still fundamentally broken because they don't believe in critical thinking, facts or reality.

Well, and Doug Wilson has made it very clear. Women should not vote, women should be in the helm. He's all in on pedophiles. So here's the thing, he is for an Old Testament, vengeful, jealous punishment, hellfire, damnation. And I contrast that with the Pope who is like empathetic. I have never, and I've watched my fair share of Doug Wilson, which I'm embarrassed to say because it's just like, it's so fascinating that he has gotten traction. But he, I have never heard him speak about helping the poor, you know, feeding the sick or feeding the poor, helping the sick, embracing Your neighbor. It is all the commands and hate and fear mongering. Just like Freud talked about with you have to control the populace. The best way to do it is religion. He falls right into that. Not once have I ever heard one shred of empathy coming out of his mouth.

No, but. But when I was growing up in Oklahoma, all of the churches I went to or my friends were trying to recruit me. I never heard it. And from my friends that were religious, they were the meanest people I knew.

I had far more empathetic positions. I wanted universal health care. I felt bad for people that were making minimum wage. I had empathy for homosexuals. I wasn't a bigot. The most religious people I know in Oklahoma, the ones that go to the biggest mega churchy with the rock bands, they're the meanest. And so it makes perfect sense that Doug Wilson is exactly like all of the people that are this bible thumper breed of evangelical Christianity. Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And I'll just add that I don't think people outside of the Bible belt understand how much shame is associated with sex and how you are, you are raised with such shame around sex, even like straight sex with your husband or straight, straight sex with your wife is laden in shame. So if you have something, an idea or a desire outside of that, then you are doubly in shame. And so it is no wonder that she thinks holding hands is bad and a, you know, a gateway to becoming a lesbian because of her dad. Like the shame that I was brought up in was bad. Religious abuse bad. I don't think it holds a candle what's going on with Doug Wilson. Because that is crazy.

No, it's, it's really bad. And I think that people who, for me, it's been so weird seeing because for years and years being a progressive atheist in Oklahoma, I went familiar with all of these types of people and I was like, God, they're so crazy. Thank God we have blue states. Thank God we have a federal government. And this is, you know, well, this is, these people are just still stuck in the 1950s and this will eventually be in the rearview mirror. It's been wild for me to see the fringe, the religious fringe of these evangelicals rise and ascend where now they're tongue talking in the Parking lot of the White House. We have Paula White there. It's just insane. And I think the Democrats have not done a good enough job addressing the crazy Christian problem. And I understand it from a political strategy point of view that it's like, oh, well, we don't want to attack people's faith. This isn't faith. This is a cult. This is a death cult that is obsessed with sex. They're obsessed with controlling the sex lives of everybody else because they can't have shame, shame free sex. This is not your, you know, your Episcopalian or your, you know, run of the mill Catholic. These evangelical mega churches are a grift. They are a cult. They promote a brand of Christian narcissism that dovetails perfectly in with capitalism, where it's just me, me, me, me, individualism. All the church sermons I ever went to, or any big Bible thumper that I ever talked to, it always struck me about how narcissistic they were. It was always about my relationship with God, my walk with God, me, me, me, me. And it wasn't ever about something bigger than them. It was this really little, small faith. It wasn't something bigger like, you know, wanting to leave your thumbprint on the life and the time that you have on the earth to do something good or to help others. It was always this chicken shit. Like, I just think God's disappointed in me because of this or that. When one girl, I had a. She thought God was mad at her because she got a tattoo. And I just thought, Jesus Christ, who cares about the tattoo? Help people be a good person. Like, that doesn't matter. But this, this sect of Christianity is so mired down in this narcissistic, sex obsessed. And then on top of all of that, it's just a grift. But the people like Doug Wilson, I'm sure he's motivated by money, but more than anything, I think he's really one of the freaky people that's really motivated by control, by controlling other people. You know what, and that's scary. Like, Trump is really motivated by money, but these people are really scary. All right, this really uplifting stuff. Make sure you like and subscribe.
