Is not efficient. And we know that because the United States spent 36 billion more dollars in February of 202025 than they did in February of 2024 as a shock to absolutely no one. With all of the firings and lawsuits and all of the bullshit that Trump is doing it, that Doge is not actually efficient. Moving on. I just. Doge has so many problems. Legal, personnel, wise, everything. Scott Galloway, who is a professor at the New York University Stern School of Business, had this to say about Doge. I believe we differ on this. I think Doge is probably going to die a quiet death in the next 30 days. Okay, here's the deal. I would love for that to happen. I have no idea why he's so optimistic, but I hope that he is right because this is an organization that, number one is getting throttled in court because there is zero transparency. And Congress is up in arms. The American people are up in arms. Elon Musk is losing his entire fortune at this point. It's like been cut close to at least a third, almost in half and just the last few days. So hopefully he's right. One thing that is true though is that Doge is considering making access for Social Security information by computer only, which means you have to have Internet and requiring it for seniors to appear online or in person. Here's the thing about that. Not every senior has access to the Internet. Not every senior is able to get around on the Internet. And this is just another example. I mean, he said he wants to cut it. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, wants to just go in there and make all these cuts so billionaires and corporations don't have to pay taxes. But he's leaving people with no ability to reach out and ask questions or get any information. And that is ridiculous. I've read reports that up to 42% of seniors do not have access to the Internet. I don't know how accurate that is, but I would assume that it's a large number. So moving on to efficiency and personnel, as we all know, Donald Trump only surrounds himself with the very best people. And so the, you know, we've had big balls. Who is now a Doge employee and a senior advisor to Marco Rubio at the State Department. We have a McLaren pinover who is a Doge employee and she is posting this from work. High ranking employee has been filming influencer videos that promote what she's wearing on social media from inside her government office. Kyung La is out front.
Kyung La
It looks just like any other influencer video. A young woman Posing in front of a camera over and over and over again, showing off her trendy but timeless professional fashion. But she's no ordinary influencer, and that's no ordinary office. Her name is McLaurin Pinover, and she's the Trump administration's new director of communications for the Office of Personnel Management, or opm, which manages federal employees. All of these videos were shot in her government office right here at OPM headquarters in Washington, D.C. ground zero for Trump's plan to cut thousands of workers from the federal government in the name of efficiency. Inside her office, Pinover captures video at her desk, putting on makeup, modeling new outfits to her 800 followers. Pinover markets clothes on her account using what's called affiliate links. She could get a portion of any item sold through her Instagram page.
Scott Galloway
Okay, here's the deal. I'm. I am so confused. Is she so ridiculously arrogant that she doesn't think that there is something that it's in conflict about cutting federal workers in the name of efficiency while she is at work doing Get Ready with Me videos and outfit of the day choices? I mean, is that what it is? Is it arrogance? Is it not very bright? I don't know, but I find it unbelievable that we are sitting around talking about how federal employees, veterans who have served our country should not get access to benefits or lose their jobs, and this gal is up at work making fashion videos and Get Ready With Me videos. Like, I really want to know. Is she that arrogant or is she just that clueless? Who knows? Elon Musk, Donald Trump. I mean, we're talking about the highest level of arrogance and incompetence that go together. So maybe she's just right in that mold. Who knows? Okay, then, moving on. As everyone globally has seen how Elon Musk has taken the American government over and that he truly is in charge, and Donald Trump is just a useful idiot. We have the United Kingdom. They're going to debate a Stop Musk interference petition because people on the outside see this, and they think this is crazy. He bought the United States presidency. He paid $100 million to Donald Trump controlled political entities, which means Donald Trump so that he would do a Tesla commercial because his stock is tanking. Like, this is corruption of the highest order. And other countries see it. The UK Is not the only one. You hear rumblings in this in other countries, too. And thankfully, Americans are starting to rise up and resist this kind of autocracy and kleptocracy. And then just one final. Just this makes me feel good. Moment Elon Musk has both U.S. and Canadian citizenship, and thousands of Canadians are trying to get a petition together to revoke Musk citizenship. Last I heard, it was right at 400,000 signatures. But wouldn't it be fantastic? I mean, I would personally enjoy that. Watching his empire crumble, watching Tesla stock go down every day, that makes me happy because it makes me believe, oh, wow. Maybe there is some accountability. Watching federal judges go to him and say, you have to participate in discovery. You can't make all these cuts with zero transparency. He's going to have to answer questions written and oral. And that's important because he will be under oath answering those. Not that I think that he is going to not lie, but I think evidence will show that he's lying. So that's a little hopium. And let's go, Canada. Stick with us.
IHIP News - Episode Summary: "Countries Telling Elon Musk Stay Away!!?"
Release Date: March 15, 2025
Hosts: Jennifer Welch & Angie “Pumps” Sullivan
In this electrifying episode of IHIP News, hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan delve into the escalating tensions between global governments and tech magnate Elon Musk. Titled "Countries Telling Elon Musk Stay Away!!?", the episode navigates through the intricate web of political maneuvers, corporate governance, and international relations, all infused with the hosts' signature comedic flair.
The episode kicks off with a critical analysis of Doge, a leading organization facing significant challenges. Scott Galloway, a professor at the New York University Stern School of Business, provides a scathing evaluation:
"I think Doge is probably going to die a quiet death in the next 30 days." ([00:06])
Scott emphasizes the organization's rampant inefficiencies, citing hefty expenditures and internal turmoil:
"The United States spent 36 billion more dollars in February of 2025 than they did in February of 2024 as a shock to absolutely no one." ([00:06])
The hosts express skepticism about Doge's sustainability, highlighting issues such as lack of transparency, Congressional scrutiny, and Elon Musk’s dwindling fortune. They underscore the dire consequences of Doge's potential collapse, especially concerning essential services like Social Security:
"Doge is considering making access for Social Security information by computer only... up to 42% of seniors do not have access to the Internet." ([02:45])
Transitioning to a more personalized narrative, Kyung La introduces McLaurin Pinover, a government employee doubling as a social media influencer:
"Her name is McLaurin Pinover, and she's the Trump administration's new director of communications for the Office of Personnel Management." ([03:12])
McLaurin's unconventional approach involves creating influencer-style content from her government office, blending professional duties with personal branding. Scott Galloway critiques this juxtaposition, questioning the integrity and focus of federal employees engaged in such activities:
"Is she so ridiculously arrogant that she doesn't think that there is something that it's in conflict about cutting federal workers... while she is at work making fashion videos?" ([04:13])
This segment sheds light on the broader issue of how political agendas intersect with personal branding, raising questions about transparency and accountability within federal institutions.
The conversation pivots to Elon Musk’s overwhelming influence on American politics and international reactions. Scott Galloway paints a picture of Musk’s encroachment into political spheres:
"Elon Musk has taken the American government over and that he truly is in charge, and Donald Trump is just a useful idiot." ([05:20])
He highlights the UK’s response, where officials are debating a petition to halt Musk's interference, viewing his involvement as a blight on democratic processes. The UK’s concerns stem from perceived corruption and undue influence, particularly Musk's financial sway over political entities:
"He paid $100 million to Donald Trump controlled political entities, which means Donald Trump sold a Tesla commercial because his stock is tanking." ([06:05])
The episode delves deeper into global efforts to restrain Musk’s influence, with Canada leading a significant movement:
"Thousands of Canadians are trying to get a petition together to revoke Musk citizenship... it's right at 400,000 signatures." ([07:15])
This push reflects a growing international consensus against what many perceive as Musk's overreach and the potential threats to national sovereignty and democratic integrity.
A beacon of hope emerges as American citizens begin to resist what the hosts describe as autocratic and kleptocratic tendencies within the government. Scott Galloway remains cautiously optimistic about Musk facing legal challenges:
"Federal judges are going to have to answer questions... he will be under oath answering those." ([08:30])
While acknowledging Musk's rhetorical agility, Galloway believes that mounting evidence will eventually hold him accountable, fostering a climate where transparency reigns.
Concluding the episode, Jennifer and Angie reinforce the importance of civic engagement and vigilance against unchecked power. They celebrate the budding resistance movements and express solidarity with international counterparts striving for democratic resilience.
"That's a little hopium. And let's go, Canada. Stick with us." ([09:50])
This optimistic note serves as a rallying cry for listeners to remain informed and proactive in safeguarding democratic institutions from undue influence.
