Elon Musk is either absolutely the dumbest human on the planet or his lack of self awareness is clinical. But as we all know, the world has been watching. Nobody likes a Nazi. So his stock has tanked, his reputation has tanked, his brand has tanked. We've been hearing rumors about Tesla wanting to get a new CEO for a minute. So here was a report that came out last night, Journal just this hour.

It's a headline that reads, Tesla Board Open search for a CEO to succeed Elon Musk. When you read the story, sources are telling the Journal that Tesla's board members started reaching out to several executive search firms, initiating a formal process to replace Musk. My source joining me tonight is the Wall Street Journal's Emily Glazer who just broke this reporting. And Emily, thanks for joining us on such breaking news. Can you just tell us what happened here and what the board of Tesla was thinking?

Absolutely. So Tesla has been going through some pain lately. It just reported earnings last week had profits decline about 70%. And our reporting shows that around a month ago, board members were reaching out to executive recruiting firms to start a formal CEO succession search process. This is a formal kind of next chapter. Obviously companies do succession planning all the time for their next leader. But we know that this is happening as there is concern from investors about Musk spending too much time in D.C. given his government role and concern about the company really struggling lately.

Okay, here's the thing. The reason Tesla is struggling is because Elon Musk is an abject disaster. He is a nut. He has shown the world he's a net. The Democrats were the people that bought EVs. Now Democrats won't touch them because of the absolute fascist authoritarian behavior of Elon Musk. Not to mention the sick heils on inauguration day. So this man has no one to blame for his loss in earnings, his loss of income, his loss of his net worth. It is because of his actions. But he is such a crying, whiny baby. This is his response to the reporting from the Wall Street Journal. Tesla says, oh, there's an erroneous media report, which is bullshit because we've been hearing about this for months. This is absolutely True. And then Elon Musk says at 12:38am so he's up at midnight. Is this extremely bad breach of ethics? Motherfucker, you wouldn't know an ethic if it came up and bit you square on the ass that the Wall Street Journal would publish a deliberately false article and fail to include an unequivocal denial before beforehand by the Tesla board of directors. Is his lack of self awareness so high that he does not understand that all of these problems around him are because of him? Is he just completely oblivious to that fact? Does he just have yes men like Trump does that sit around and kiss his ass and tell him he's right? I mean I know he hires 19 year olds in very prestigious positions. Are they just so naive they kiss his ass because this man is single handedly responsible for his own demise and is acting like it's unethical for people to report about it. These free speech absolutist, cut me some slack. Okay, and then another tweet that he made. Okay, so then his next tweet is the Wall Street Journal is a discredit to journalism. Motherfucker. You're a discredit to the human race. You're a discredit to the federal workers. You're a discredit to conflict of interest. This is a man talking about credit and ethics who came in and stops investigations into himself, who is the biggest government parasite who has awarded himself multi billion dollar contracts while he is in this role. And he was going to judge if he had a conflict of interest while sim simultaneously keeping food and medicine to the poorest people on planet earth as he sponges off the government. You can't talk about ethics. You can't do it because you have none. You have no credibility. Your sick heils showed us exactly who you are. And it's not the woke mind virus. Because globally your brand personally and brands you're associated are tanking because of your actions. Make no mistake, that is the problem. Elon Musk is his own biggest problem. And then we have this video from Elon Musk at the cabinet meeting yesterday. And I mean it was cringe beyond cringe. So if you're wondering why people think he's a nut, look here.

Okay, you know what this reminds me of? You know, you're in your middle school and everybody's just super Awkward and weird and somebody says something, you don't really know how to act, so you kind of giggle. Or your boss tells a joke that's not funny and you have to kind of giggle because they're your boss. These people were clearly nervous laughing because it was so cringy. And you have the richest man in the world wearing two hats, a dark, dark MAGA hat and a Make America Great Again hat. And he's running around talking about, it can't possibly be true that anybody would want to replace him as the CEO because his brand's in the shitter. It's unbelievable. Lack of self awareness. Like, I don't know if there can be a clinical diagnosis for lack of self awareness, but if there were, he would have it. And I'll tell you what else. The ass kissing at that cabinet meeting yesterday, I mean, it was so cringy. Like, I dare say that Vladimir Putin would have blushed because it was so. Ask his Arama. Here we go.

The fact that Donald Trump would sit there and allow that level of bullshit when universally you can't go anywhere outside of the right wing media that doesn't say that. The Trump first 100 days trashed due process and human rights. We're on a global watch list for tourists because of the behavior of this administration. You've got Pam Bondi saying that he saved three quarters of the United States citizens from fentanyl. What a bunch of horseshit, all of this stuff. I mean, he's snatching people off, he's sending them to concentration camps. The economy is in the shitter. China has told him to go feed himself. When it comes to these tariffs. We're getting ready to have empty shelves full blown recessions coming, and they're sitting there kissing his ass, and he loves it. And I don't know what's worse, the fact that he loves it or that they're willing to do it. They are willing to debase themselves, they're willing to lie. They are willing to make themselves have no credibility, no spine, no conviction for a man that is an authoritarian. Do they? Are they so in love with power? How can they just run away from democracy like this and plant their lips squarely on his ass? It's gross. One thing I wanted to point out, though, because I thought this was interesting. Look, this is the United States of America's cabinet at this moment, and they have hats in front of them. Some say make America great again. Some say Gulf of America. Dare I say that the United States government paid for these hats from the Trump grift shop, and I'm sure they were made in China. The Gulf of America is a grift. He's immediately grifted off. Like, I've never seen grifting. I have never seen such an absolute demonstrative shithole. Like, Americans should be embarrassed. Trump should be embarrassed. Like, I don't know how he wasn't embarrassed. I don't know how the people that are saying this crap are not embarrassed. This is absolutely ridiculous. I think even Fox News had a clip on that said, okay, the big accomplishments for Trump was they changed the name from Gulf of America and he released the JFK files. Okay, Epstein files. Where are they? Still don't see those. And we know why, because he was on the flight list. Call logs, whatever, you guys. We have got to start pressuring CEOs, we've got to start pressuring congressional representatives, we've got to unite. We've got to stand up against authoritarianism. Stick with us.
