MAGA influencers are going bananas. They think now that the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life in Butler, Pennsylvania was staged. I always kind of thought it stage and I know that makes me sound a little crazy, but it's just something was fishy as hell about it from the very beginning. I also think that here's a man, Donald Trump, that wants to talk about. They cheat, they cheat, they cheat. I'm the best. There would be nothing more cheaty or cheaterish than taking out a candidate for President of the United States. The fact that he never talks about this ever is interesting to me, but I believe that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling for such evidence. Pop this up. I'm not calling the Butler assassination a hoax, but there are a lot of questions that deserve public answers. I'm asking why won't Trump release the information about Matthew Crooks? Did he actually act alone? If not, who is behind him and who helped him? Why the COVID up and why doesn't he ever talk about it? Why doesn't he say the Democrats tried to kill me, blah, blah. If anything, it's always this weird Christian signaling that God spared Trump so that he could deliver this nation, you know, this great Christian nation to God pumps. What do you think about all that?
Co-host 1 (1:45)
Okay.

I also think that Marjorie Taylor Greene should be questioning why have we never received a medical explanation for how Donald Trump's ear went from. Allegedly had a bullet in, it was bleeding. Everybody wore tam, you know, Kotex pads on their ear to. It's completely fine. There's zero scar, zero evidence. There's no evidence on Donald Trump. So release your medical records. There's no evidence on the shooter. There's been zero investigation by an independent agency. And I've always thought something was fishy, but when you say that, you sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I don't buy it.

I mean, just in, in the era of Trump 2.0, where with all of the Epstein drops and all of this stuff, I just put nothing, absolutely nothing past these people. And I think we need transparency. But here is a Wired headline about maga. Pop this up. MAGA is increasingly convinced the Trump assassination attempt was staged. Conspiracy theories about the Butler, Pennsylvania shooting have ramped up in recent weeks as once steadfast Trump supporters turn on the President. Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Tim Dillon and other right wing influencers have floated this idea. And this is what happens when you align herself with conspiracy theorists. This is what happens with Trump. I will say we should live in a society and this seems to have completely dissipated in Trump 2.0, where you have a thorough Secret Service FBI investigation and that is completely released to the public. And so when something like this happens and there's very little information about it, no medical records pertaining to the injury of the president, this is what happens. This is when conspiracy theories are born. Was it staged, was it not? I don't know. I know that they have not presented enough evidence to the public. And do I think that Donald Trump would do something like this? Yes, I do. Do I think it's a crazy conspiracy theory? Yes, I do. I think both of those things can be true at the same time because there is no robust reporting on all of this. Which brings me to Cash Patel and the FBI. So if we had a serious FBI that believed in the type of reporting that I was just talking about that could, you know, expose what's going on in Butler and either in the conspiracy theory or prove something really incredible. We have Cash Patel and the Atlantic is reporting on Cash Patel. Pop this up. Cash Patel's colleagues are alarmed by what they say is erratic behavior and excessive drinking. Sarah Fitzpatrick replied reports more than two dozen people she spoke with described his management failures and conduct that could harm national security. Cash Patel has alarmed colleagues with episodes of excessive drinking and unexplained absences. And we've seen this behavior before. So this, okay, Cash Patel's a big drinker, blah, blah, blah. Is there any videographic evidence of this? Play the clip. For those of you listening, here's Cash Patel fist bumping like a gorilla, like pounding his chest. And he, they put a medal on him that he didn't earn. And he's jumping up and down with his beer, chugging beer just enough. And while Cash Patel celebrated, this is in Milan. The FBI was juggling a cartel violence outbreak in Mexico, a shooting at Mar a Lago, and a weeks long missing person search for Savannah Guthrie's mother. Not to mention they could have been researching the entire Butler situation to keep Trump's base intact. Pumps.
