Lee McGowan
That would be nice, wouldn't it? I mean, wouldn't it?
Podcast Host
Lee, welcome to New York. How are you?
Lee McGowan
I'm really good. I am so glad we're finally doing this.
Podcast Host
I know.
Lee McGowan
I said when I met you, I was like, I feel like we're already friends because our vibe is exactly the same. Like, I feel like if you and I had met in like high school, we'd be like, girl, right Immediately. And everyone would be like, those two are very mouthy.
Podcast Host
We would have been in big trouble.
Lee McGowan
I know, I know.
Podcast Host
Okay, speaking of mouthy, let's go off on little Vice President Pris pants eyeliner wearing J.D. vance in this. Here he is in Switzerland. Just cannot help but make an ass of himself.
Lee McGowan
Play the clip.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
What we told the Iranians yesterday is when you guys engage in what us millennials might call trash talk, you can't expect the President of the United States not to respond and not to correct the record. So when they say things that aren't true, the president is going to respond to it. I'm going to respond to it. Americans are going to respond to it when they make threats.
Podcast Host
Okay, I've heard enough.
Lee McGowan
I know.
Podcast Host
What do you, what do you take of him lecturing people on trash talking?
Lee McGowan
I mean, lecturing him on like, Donald Trump is going to be setting the record straight. You're like JD, are you kidding me right now? Like, we spend 500 hours a day trying to correct Donald Trump. Like, the guy says whatever he wants, it comes out of his head. And then we're all like, that sounds very reasonable, you know, so, no, this is ridiculous. But I think JD's clearly on like a world tour to be like, I'm perfectly fine if something happens to him. Look at me. What a leader I am, right? He's got orange or makeup on now. He's wearing tons more makeup. He's doing his book tour, which is very peculiar to be a sitting vice president doing a book tour, right? Like, get it, you have a job job, bro. Like, right? You know, do your job. And it seems like everywhere they send jd, people fail. You know, like they send him to Hungary right before the event.
Podcast Host
And don't you think Trump's dicking him over intentionally? Don't you think he gets off this watching J.D. vance face plant?
Lee McGowan
I mean, I hope so, but I think Donald Trump is so busy looking in the mirror, he has very little time to do anything else. I mean, look, JD is. I find JD an embarrassment because JD's smarter than, you know, Donald Trump is in this for Donald Trump and everyone knows that. He's making these decisions for himself. How can he get richer? How can he get more powerful? But JD is in it for whoever is paying the bills. JD is Teal's man. JD is whoever is who he wants to be at the time. You know, he's a liberal, then he's a conservative, then he's a never Trump guy. And now he's, you know, the cleanup man. So I mean, I don't know what.
Podcast Host
He's changed his name three times.
Lee McGowan
I mean, the guy has no idea who he is. And none of us do either, right?
Podcast Host
I always say that he is the country's biggest prostitute. And this is big news. On the foothills of Melania, Trump's former best friend, Amanda Unaro saying that Melania was a two bit hooker.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
And.
Podcast Host
But I still think that J.D. vance is more of a prostitute than Melania because this man basically believes in nothing. This is his third name change, his third religious change before we get to 40.
Lee McGowan
Yeah. And also, like, I mean, consider who he married, right? He married a woman that was perfectly happy in her religion, perfectly happy, you know, immigrant family. And now he's anti immigrant, anti her religion. You know, she's trying to be a trad wife they got pregnant for. You know what I mean? Like the whole thing, I'm like, now you're Changing the people around you. He is an unfortunate creature because he's, he's not a real person. There's nothing about him that's authentic.
Podcast Host
What do you make of this whole MAGA trend now where the women are. It's like a script. Get pregnant, have a podcast, preach trad wife ideology while doing your full time job. You see Erica Kirk, Katie Miller, Usha Vance has this like, have you seen it?
Lee McGowan
Bedtime story thing.
Podcast Host
It's like a hostage situation.
Lee McGowan
It is the most unfortunate thing. Like if you've ever. We both have children. Yeah, I have read to children. There are a hundred thousand people in America that would be better and more kind and sweet reading to children. This is not this woman's gig. There's a reason she was did better in school than J.D. there's a reason she was a top lawyer. Right. She's a badass and she's completely, you know, domiciled herself to be this person that JD needs her to be. And she'll never be what JD needs her to be because she's not a white woman. Right. Like this is problematic for him at this point. So she's trying to do everything to fit into a box that she will never fit into, which I feel like happens to women all the time. We're like, if I could just make myself, you know, if I could just make myself smaller or fit into this box. And I think it's exhausting. You should be who you are. You're smarter than him, you're better than him, you had a better job than him. Go back to that show women who they should be. This trad wife thing is terrifying to me because it's, it's almost like, you know, they're grabbing all these teenagers, right? I've seen a ton of 19 year olds that are like, I'm, you know, I'm 19 years old and I'm married and I just love my life and I have my iced coffee and then I make my husband his breakfast and then I go to Costco for the day and I'm like, and Jessica Valenti, who has a, you know, a podcast called Abortion Every Day, she does so much work in the anti abortion space. She was like, where are all the middle aged tradwives? Where are their podcasts? Because they don't exist. You're not going to find some woman being like, I absolutely love that I gave up all of my autonomy and, and I don't. My husband left me and then I had no career. And we don't see those podcasts, we See these tiny girls making cosplaying as 50s housewives. And it terrifies me for the youth because it's almost like they're one generation removed from what I witnessed my mom go through, what I witnessed my grandmother go through. And they were both like, don't do this, don't choose this. This isn't what I wanted. It's just what was expected of me. And I feel like I was the first generation as a Gen X to be told I could be anything I wanted to be working girl styles, you know, like wearing my power suit with my running shoes and going to work and being a mother and you know, and you realize as time goes on that you can't have everything all at once, right? You can have everything, right? I was a stay at home mother, trad wife. Like really, if you look at it, my husband worked, I didn't work. I stayed at home with my son until he was 12. And I'm so pleased that I did that. I only could have one child and I'm so pleased I was able to spend that time with him. But my brain, it atrophied. I mean, I went bananas at home. If I had to do a train for one more, I was like. And he's like, that's not the right voice for Thomas. Mommy really has to go empty the dishwasher. You know what I mean? Like, I was losing my mind. So by the time he was 12 and I went back to work, I was a far better parent, I think, because I was authentic to myself and to my child. I'm glad I got to do both. But I would never tell some young girl to just give up everything to do that. And that's what these people are telling them because they want to take away our votes, they want to take our rights. And by the way, you know who doesn't fight back? People who have young children at home because they can't.
Podcast Host
I think that the 19 year olds that are romanticizing this and the early 20 year olds that are romanticizing this thing is one thing, but I appreciate that Katie Miller and Usha Vance, who are older and already have, I think each is on their fourth child with people, in my opinion, that just have no business breeding both Stephen Miller and J.D. vance. We don't need more of these types of people. The fact that they are positioning themselves as aspirational women, I think there's going to be a backfire to that because they're so unlikable. Katie Miller lecturing people about anything, it's just, it's staggering to me. And then you get to Stephen Miller, who is consumed with James Talarico. I have never seen a man. It is like, single white female type situation. Stephen Miller's obsession with James Talarico is so homoerotic by what he wears, what
Lee McGowan
he eats, how his haircut is, how he looks like. It is creepy.
Podcast Host
It is so creepy, the obsession. He cannot shut up about it.
Lee McGowan
Yeah. I think because James Talarico is freaking out the extreme right wing, right? Because he is white, he is straight, he is a Christian, he is everything they have said. We're not. You know, we're these blue hair liberal freaks that want to give, you know, sex changes in schools. You know, I mean, like, come on, you have to sign 500 forms to get your kid to have a Tylenol, as if they're having like a full surgery at school. But, you know, they, you know, they've talked to us for years about how crazy we are and how we're letting our kids dress like furries and go to bathroom in, like, litter boxes. And then here comes this guy who comes along, totally normal, pastor, kind, good. They were like, he's probably gay. And then they show his really hot girlfriend and everyone's like, oh, God, no, he doesn't eat meat. Like, they have nothing on him. And they know they're in trouble in Texas. They know they're in trouble across the country.
Podcast Host
Right.
Lee McGowan
Which is why they're spending so much time trying to, like, ruin voting for everyone. Be it from gerrymandering to, like, ruining the post office to whatever that, you know, everything. Because they know they're not popular, so they have to attack things that make no sense. It's the culture war stuff is all they've ever had.
Podcast Host
Yeah. And you can see that Stephen Miller is, like, really clinging on to that. Like, he says stuff like clinging onto the.
Lee McGowan
The balustrades with his feet.
Podcast Host
It's like, I don't know what gender James Talarico is. And I'm like, bitch, please, Nobody knows what species you are. I mean, it's just utter insanity. But I want to shift gears slightly and talk about another MAGA woman, Tulsi Gab. As you know, Tulsi used to be a Democrat. And she, I mean, is questionable Hillary Clinton. Whistleblue about her a long, long time ago and basically said that he. She felt like she was compromised by Russia. And in fact, she was just one degree from that. Pop this up. This is an utterly insane story. 25,000 documents reviewed by the Washington Post indicate that throughout Tulsi's career. Her political moves were control by her guru cult leader Chris Butler. This woman was leading the world's largest intelligence apparatus. And so here's some details for you and the listener. Butler himself was. Has reportedly condemned US Intelligence and defense agencies as power hungry institutions run by mad men. And I would say that probably wasn't true 10 years ago and is certainly true now 100%. Between 2014 and 2016, the Post found dozens of instance instances in which Gabard echoed exactly fact talking points outlined in Butler's group. Gabbard's own aunt has alleged that her 2020 presidential bid was the result of Butler's pursuit of political influence. Gabbard announced her resignation two days after she was informed the story would be published, according to the Daily Beast. And this reminds me of another woman, MAGA woman that has been reported was in a cult. And this is the wife of Clarence Thomas, Jenny Thomas. Jenny was in a cult long before MAGA and got deprogrammed. And then of course we know that then she was in the MAGA cult. She was a big ringleader of the insurrection. Despite her involvement in it, Clarence refuses to recuse himself from anything, you know, pertaining to Trump. But what do you make of these mentally unstable. There seems to be a through line from Stephen Miller to Katie Miller to Donald Trump. These people are all broken, emotionally stunted, broken people that have ascended to controlling our federal government.
Lee McGowan
Yeah, I don't think if we look at it like that, I don't think they have ascended. I think they have been propped up because they are emotionally broken, because they are able to be puppeteered. Because if I am a vessel in which for you to put your cult ideas, for you to put your religious ideas, for you to put whatever. And I don't have any critical thinking to say that seems weird or why is it like that? Or I'm going to question this, then I am up perfect vessel for the people that are smart, like the people at the Heritage foundation, the people, the Federalist Society. These guys who really are brilliant geniuses. Say what you want about Mitch McConnell, the guy's a brilliant evil genius. Totally the Leonard Leo running the Federalist Society, brilliant evil genius. Russ Vote at the, at the Heritage foundation, brilliant evil genius. And they take a look at the people that could be most manipulated, people that are most drawn to cults, people who are most drawn to, like, I don't know how to feel. And you're like, you're going to feel like this. They're like, okay, great. Are the People, you ascend. People like we were talking about J.D. vance, people who are just like, willing to completely change their personality to fit the moment. Those are the best people to control. So if you see the people in charge as really being puppeteered because they were the most available vessel, then that makes more sense. It's not that these people who have cult mentalities ascend, it's that they were pulled up by people who saw them as a vessel.
Podcast Host
Yeah, I, I think that's completely true. I think you partnered with Ruth Ben Giott on yeah, and Me Too, and she says that people, authoritarians that are easy to bend, that are easy to manipulate. And you look at Howard Lnick, it's been revealed that Ben Myelis was reporting that he. Trump calls him his. And Howard Lutnick responds, this man's a billionaire. And he says, yeah, I'm his $25 billion. And everybody has just a knee slapping moment and how hilarious it is. And can you imagine just for briefly, if Obama or Biden were referring to somebody as their $25 billion pussy? I don't know that Jesse Waters would live. I think he would immediately. The heart rate would just go up. I think.
Lee McGowan
How do we do it? How do we get someone to refer to. How does we get Obama to say that out loud? No, look, I think the thing is, is that being a billionaire itself is a vessel. People who need that much money. I always say, like, if you think of billionaires as hoarders of money, like if I wouldn't, you know, if you went into my house and I had 10,000 typewriters, you'd be like, lee, this is, this is too many typewriters. Like, why do you have all these? This is problematic. No one could ever use this many. And I was like, I need them for everything. You don't understand. Like, you can barely walk through my house. It's a hoarder mentality. It's when. It's when you just have needs too much of the same thing. I think billionaires in their own right have some sort of mental disorder that says, hey man, I cannot get enough money. I cannot do it. And you see these women who are given money, people like Mackenzie Bezos and these kind of people, they can't give it away fast enough. They're like, let's replant the trees. Let's help women's rights. Let's do this. When Mackenzie Bezos got divorced from Jeff, I think she had something, and these are not correct numbers, but something like $26 million or billion dollars, $26 billion, let's say, okay, she's given away $21 billion. Okay, she now has $46 billion. Because money begets money, Money makes money. So even if you're trying to give it away, once you get to a certain level, it's still making you so much money. The fact that Elon needs to be a trillionaire, that's a mental illness, truly. And now he's collecting children right now he has to be like the father of all children, right? Like, it's a, it's a mental disorder. So I think that the billionaires themselves, if you're talking about Latin, I mean, we know Lutnick was on the island. We know luck. Like, you get to a certain point where, like, nothing matters because you have so much money. You're not living in the same world as us regular humans. You don't need the same health care. You don't have the same problems. Even if you get six, there's a million people taking care of you. So they, they don't live like we do. And then they start thinking outside the box. Like, it's hilarious that I'm his, right? It's hilarious that we go to islands and like party with 12 year olds. Isn't this fabulous that we can do this? And you're like, no, it's not.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Lee McGowan
That's why it's so terrifying that they want to build these, you know, crazy cities. They're doing it right now as a beta test in Latin America, right? That's why they're trying to take over all the democratically controlled Latin American countries, because they're building what are essentially, you know, Elysiums. I don't know if you ever saw that movie with Matt Damon, Elysium. It's like all the rich and beautiful people live just above the earth in this perfect utopia, and then the rest of us are sort of fighting for scraps and water and such below, right? I think that's what they're trying to build, these worlds in which they exist and the rest of us can die for all they care, right? Like, that's why they're taking away our health care and they don't care if we get Ebola and, you know, all this kind of stuff. But they're building these cities in Latin America right now as sort of a beta test. Walled cities for the 1%, for the ultra rich that will have high speed trains between them. And to me, it's like a Epstein Islands, right? That's what they're trying to create where there Are no laws from that country that apply within that city. That's the world these people live in, and they are sincere about it. The election that just happened in Colombia, like, that's Trump's choice. Right. We went in and took out people that we didn't want there to be the leader as a warning. Right. This is terrifying. There's an entire thing going on called Honduras Gate right now that not a single American knows about, because they're not. It's a Latin American story, but it's about how Trump wants to take over, you know, north and South America.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Lee McGowan
Right. So, like, we need to think far outside the box, because the people they're putting in charge are these vessels to create this world that none of us will like and they will thrive.
Podcast Host
So in that same vein, Jared and Ivanka, the island that they discovered, they were on their friend's boat, some billionaire, a Rothschild. Yeah.
Lee McGowan
Which is important.
Podcast Host
I think I do, too. And then they hiked up barefoot it. And just thought, oh, my gosh, the potential we have to. You know, Ivanka talks like this. It was, we're gonna unlock all of the potential. My husband and I are. So anyway, the Albanians have had it. They're madder than hornets. They have been on a 21 plus day protest, and I support them. And now here's what they're doing. They're pushing crates downhill. Play this clip here. They are pushing downhill. They are furious because apparently some of their country has been developed before, and it's kind of this soulless, lifeless villas, and they know that their government is corrupt and doing some double dealing with Jared Kushner. So what do you make of this? And also, can we discuss that Jared Kushner, who is basically our Secretary of State, he has more power than Marco Rubio. So right now, Jared Kushner is babysitting J.D. vance abroad. Jared Kushner, one thing that he and his wife have in common, both of their dads are felons. Jared Kushner's dad and Ivanka Trump's dad, they're both felons. He got two or three billion dollars from the Saudis. He now, you know, has more deals going on. He's the guy who said, you know, we need to unlock the potential real estate development potential in Gaza. You know, these are people's homes, poor people's homes, and he wants to just raise it. What do you make of. Do you think there's going to be a backfire? This. They seem so much more emboldened and brazen about their wealth and the way she so casually spoke about how they were going to develop this island. A multi billion dollar project.
Lee McGowan
Yeah. Look, I don't think American media. That's why I think shows like yours are so important, because I don't think American media is doing us any favors. You know, they had an article recently, I want to say, in the Atlantic, but I don't know if that was true about. About Bezos's second wife. Right. And. And Lauren was like, why are we apologizing for being rich? Maybe we should just be happy that we're rich. It's like a new vibe. They're trying to sell us this vibe that, like, the billionaires deserve it and they're different than us and they're more special than us, and that's how they see it. I personally think it's a mental disorder, but that's how they see it. That they could come to an island that was literally a military base. Like, she's walking barefoot somewhere where there's landmines. Like, come on, please, please. The Rothschilds drove you right there and said, do you want it? And she was like, I do. I do want it. You know, Ariana Grande style. I saw it, I got it. Like, that's where they're at. But I honestly feel like they don't care. They don't care about the poor people that they're gonna. This was all a plan. Raise Gaza, take it down, build luxury. You know, the. The. What did they call it? The Riviera of the Middle East. Right. That was the plan from the beginning. It was Bibi's plan. Bibi, who stayed in Jared Kushner's bedroom when he was at his house. Like, it was Bibi' Jared's plan. Trump went along with whatever he was told to go along with. He does not care. He wants power, and he wants people to tell him he's a special boy. He's not making big plans. Right. He's not like, oh, you know, I'm gonna take over the Middle East. And they say, we're gonna have a great real estate development. We're gonna name it after you. He's like, cool. He's not thinking of that. This is Jared. This is all these people think about who we sent to negotiate with Iran. Right? It was Jared and Howard. Right. And witkoff and. And J.D.
Podcast Host
yeah.
Lee McGowan
None of them are State Department officials. None of them are Middle east officials. None of them speak the language. And that's who we sent. We're not serious as a country with this leadership, we are serious about Making sure that billionaires make tons more money, get, you know, take over countries if they want to, and build whatever they want to for their other super rich friends. And it really should have a backlash. What the Albanians are doing is brilliant. I totally support them as well. And people often say, well, why, why don't they do this in America? Like, if America's so unhappy, why aren't they doing this? And I'm like, I think people forget how incredibly humongous America is. We can't just show up at our capital. People like, you know, when we all gathered in Paris, we made a big difference. I'm like, everyone in France can get to Paris within three hours. Everybody. Whereas Americans who are dependent on their job, which is dependent on their health care, we are all far away from D.C. a lot of us are. And for us to get there, have a hotel, miss work, possibly lose our job, then lose our health care. You know, if you have children, like I'm saying, they're telling you, have children, have children, have children, we're way less likely to protest because we're like, well, I have to be at home for my children and I can't lose my job because of my health care. And, you know, it's very. We don't have the same ability to fight back the way other countries do that have universal healthcare. Somebody said recently, watching the World cup, they were like, I read that every single country in the World cup has universal health care except America. And they were like, that can't be right. And then they looked it up and they were like, like, oh, my God, that's right.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Lee McGowan
We're the only country that doesn't have it. And if our health care is tied to our jobs, to our marriages, to whatever, it traps us. So to talk about being a land of freedom when we're literally trapped just by that one thing alone, it means we can't go and do these things the Albanians are doing. But we should. Because what the Albanians are doing is exactly what they did in the French Revolution, like, mess up the train tracks, make sure you can't get to things. You know, somebody said recently, like, we should be doing way more of that, like, subversive fighting back, where if I work in the State Department and I'm going to build a concentration camp and I'm supposed to order 500 doors, you know, for cells, and I put five instead of 500. So when they show up, they're like, this isn't enough doors. You're like, oh, I'm so sorry, Whoops. Like that's the kind of, you know, that's the kind of thing we need to be doing now to slow the whole thing down until we can get to a place where we can literally stop it and then hold everyone accountable. Like, we cannot pussyfoot around.
Podcast Host
How much faith do you have in the Democratic Party to do that? Should we get power back, the Democratic
Lee McGowan
Party proper right now, as it is with the leadership it has.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Lee McGowan
Limited faith.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Lee McGowan
But I do think that they need to be put in power so that we can turn all of our anger that we've had towards MAGA towards them if they don't do what we ask them.
Podcast Host
Agree.
Lee McGowan
So I like, do I think that they're going to come in here and say, you know what, let's put it behind us and reach across the aisle for the good of the country. We have to be like, none of us want that. We want public trial.
Podcast Host
The Democrats doing that incubated this. We did that after. And I love Obama, but when he came in, the banks got let off the hook. Rumsfeld, Cheney, the illegal Iraq war let off the hook. Then Biden gets in. Merrick Garland lets off. Donald Trump. Jenny Thomas, because here's the deal. When it came to January 6th, they just got the rubes. These are the broken people that got their. They got a, a round trip bus ticket and a hotel. The rich people that paid for this, no accountability for January 6th. And I think that the Democratic Party has to come to a reckoning with their part in incubating this fascism.
Lee McGowan
The Democratic Party absolutely has to come to a realization that you either fight back or you lose. And that's what we keep doing, losing. I often make the, you know, the analogy that it's a lot like a cage fight. You know, if I think I'm a boxer and I'm in there and I'm giving you your jabs and I'm getting my points and I'm doing my thing and you keep kicking me in the head and the ref doesn't call it. I'm going to lose. And I can't be like, those aren't the rules. I don't understand. You know what I mean? You have to learn to kick back or you have to learn that you're never going to win again. And the Democrats keep thinking, I'm just going to keep playing by the original rules and it's going to be fine and we'll go back to normal. We're never going back to normal. And I need everyone to understand we're never going back to normal. We must create a new normal. And that starts on the ashes of what did this to our country. Look at the White House alone. Look at what it looks like, Right? It's a metaphor for what this country is doing. What we cannot see is happening to our health care, happening to our education, happening to our. Our foreign policy. The White House itself, Washington itself. What the reflecting pool looks like. What happened with the reflecting pool? I can't get over that reflecting pool. Because people are like, why don't they just talk about the reflecting pool? I'm like, because it's a metaphor, right? It's a metaphor for what it's supposed to look like. You hired the wrong person who couldn't do the job. You paid him too much money so you could launder it. You did it poor. Then you tried to fix it poorly. Now it's worse. And you're arresting people who are pointing that out like it's a. It's. That is. That is Trump in a nightmare, in a nutshell. And I really feel like, if you think of that, that's what's happening to the cdc. That's what's happening to the nih. That's what's happening to everything we cannot see. Just picture the reflecting pool.
Podcast Host
I want to leave you with one final video. There was a focus group of female Trump supporters, and I have some unfortunate news about what they said. Who?
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Okay, all right, listen. Put your hand up if you would have sex with Donald Trump.
Podcast Host
If I was married to Donald Trump, yes. And I'd love to be. So we've diagnosed. Final thoughts here. We diagnose, you know, the problem with these broken people that have been able to fail forward. We've diagnosed the Democrats that have not met the moment and fought for the people and have set foot, fought for corporations. But I also think we have a cultural problem in America. You have a lot of people like these ladies, capitalists with no capital who race to the polls to vote for Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and apparently now rather alarmingly, want to have sex with Donald Trump. Which is just fascinating to me that one could wish me talk about some kinky.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Podcast Host
But the larger cultural rot that MAGA has ushered in haunts me a lot. The electorate, the sickness within the electorate.
Lee McGowan
Yeah, I agree with you because I think that there are. The majority of Americans do not want this. I think the majority of the Americans did not actually vote for this. I think majority of the Americans want to have civility and kindness and looking out for their neighbor and this kind of Behavior, this sort of like, you keep thinking it can't get lower and it gets lower bottom feeder type behavior. I think that's what we sort of saw at the ufc. You can love UFC if you want to, but it shouldn't have been on the White House lawn. There were people having, you know, bought brawls on the White House lawn. It's the degradation of our entire society. I think that's what makes people so upset. And I don't know how to fix that. Aside from saying we need to put different people in power, we need to hold those people in power accountable to do real change. And we need to show these people that their lives can be better under a different leaders. You've been told your whole life that Democrats are evil monsters. We need to put them in power and show that you get a higher minimum wage, that you get health care, that you have paid universal, you know, childcare, that we. You get parental leave like every other country. We can't just say we're going to fix it for them. We have to put people in power and then actually deliver. And that's why I'm saying we need to put Democrats in power and then hold them accountable to do what will actually change the mindset of the people in this nation. Because right now, I mean, you're down an incredible rabbit hole if you want to have sex with Donnie Diaper.
Podcast Host
Right?
Lee McGowan
Like, I mean, there's just no way. Half of us don't want to have sex with our own wonderful spous spouses. Right? Like, you're not gonna. This is like, completely bananas. So, yeah, no, I think people have lost their minds, but I think it's a smaller group than we think. Yeah, they're just so much more vocal. Like, if you've choosing to go on Jubilee and talk about how you're a woman and you don't think you should have women's rights, that's a different kind of person. Right. We need to highlight the people that don't feel like that, and we need to highlight the people that actually want to make change. And that's why, like, living in the city right now, watching what mom Donnie's doing, it's like, here's a Democrat who comes in and he's like, I'm gonna do these things. And then he delivers, and he says, I'm gonna make things better. And then he delivers. He said, I'm gonna b. And then he delivers. If you can show people that what you said is true is true, people will start to believe you. And I think that's an important part of politics. You can't just be like, well, we can't do anything. This is how it works. No, it's not how it works. If you care about the people and not your own power.
Podcast Host
Yeah. And the great thing about Mamdani is he's just incorruptible. And we need to have politicians that are incorruptible.
Lee McGowan
I mean, can you imagine if we had a president come in and be like, listen, the Epstein files are all real. So many people in our government were involved. We knew everything about it. It's disgusting and sickening, and we're gonna hold everyone accountable. But America is the bad guy here, and we really need to understand that, and we need to move forward. People are like, well, that is horrendous, but let's do it. Yeah, Right? This constant hiding of it. This constant, like, well, it'll be bad for the country and people will think badly of us. It's like, yeah, but people already think badly of us. Oh, so why not be incorruptible? Why not come in and do the right thing? And I think that's in many ways why I'm so ready for the matriarch. Because it's not about women in charge. It's about who you center in society. Right. If you center the children, if you center the people who are having, you know, the hardest time, everyone else will do fine. If our kids have clean water and great education and food every day and a roof over their heads, so do the rest of us. Right. If you take care of the most vulnerable, that's the way it should be. And I think it's going to be women that come in and go, you're being held accountable. And you're being held accountable because I can promise you, if you put a matriarchal idea, not necessarily women, but a matriarchal idea in charge marriage, you're not going to have Rape Island. Right. We're not gonna, like. It's just not gonna happen. Right. But people have lost their minds, and we need to pull them back from the brink by showing them what we can do, not telling them what we can do.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I think integrity can trickle down.
Lee McGowan
I do.
Podcast Host
Option trickle down. Trickle down. And you can. I live. I've lived in New York now for eight months, and there is an appreciation for the city right now and for what Zoron is doing. And it's very clear when you see Jonathan Greenblatt of the ADL and these other fascist bad actors. Beat him down.
Lee McGowan
Yeah.
Podcast Host
What their intentions are and his he is governing and showing everybody can do it and he's just a good person. You know, I remember when Obama was president, he inspired other people to be better people and I think that integrity can trickle down. Listener, go follow Lee on Politics girl. But she's also going to be magus laying on CNN this week. What nights are you going to be on?

Episode: New Secrets Reveal Trump Admin Cult Connection? Billionaires Are Losing Their Minds
Date: June 22, 2026
Hosts: Jennifer Welch & Angie “Pumps” Sullivan
Guest: Lee McGowan (Politics Girl)
This episode takes listeners on a candid, comedic deep-dive into current US political dysfunction—with special focus on right-wing figureheads, the “trad wife” trend, cult connections, billionaire delusions, the cynical commodification of power, and the need for real Democratic accountability. Featuring guest Lee McGowan, the discussion pulls no punches on the emotional and intellectual collapse among MAGA elites, the dangers of unchecked wealth, and the cultural rot shaping modern America.
J.D. Vance as “Vice President Pris Pants” ([01:45])
Hosts and Lee roast Vance’s public persona, book tour, and chameleonic political history.
Vance criticized for being opportunistic, unauthentic, and constantly remaking himself to suit powerful backers (e.g., Peter Thiel).
Quote:
“He is the country’s biggest prostitute… this man basically believes in nothing. This is his third name change, his third religious change before we get to 40.”
—Jennifer Welch, [03:49]
Trad Wife Phenomenon ([04:39])
The rise of “trad wives” (women promoting 1950s housewife roles on social media) is critiqued as a MAGA-driven script targeting young women.
Special mention: Erica Kirk, Katie Miller, and Usha Vance; these high-profile conservative women promote trad wife content despite holding full-time, high-powered jobs.
Lee shares personal experience as a stay-at-home mom, warning against glamorizing loss of autonomy for young women.
Generational perspectives: Millennials/Gen Zs are being “sold” a lie older generations rejected.
Quote:
"We don’t see those podcasts—we see these tiny girls cosplaying as 50s housewives. It terrifies me for the youth."
—Lee McGowan, [06:21]
Obsession with James Talarico ([09:09])
Stephen Miller’s fixation on Democrat James Talarico described as “homoerotic” and “creepy.”
Talarico is a threat because he fits conservative ideals but is progressive—a “normal” guy the right cannot smear.
Quote:
“I don’t know what gender James Talarico is. And I’m like, bitch, please, nobody knows what species you are.”
—Jennifer Welch, [10:23]
The GOP as a Cult of Broken People ([11:33])
Segment explores recent reporting connecting Tulsi Gabbard’s political career to a cult led by Chris Butler.
The MAGA movement is tied back to cult-like figures, with parallels drawn to Ginni Thomas.
Critique: emotionally unstable people are selected/pushed to power because they are easier to manipulate.
Quote:
“If I am a vessel for you to put your cult ideas… and I don’t have any critical thinking, then I am a perfect vessel for people who are smart… to be puppeteered.”
—Lee McGowan, [12:46]
Billionaire Hoarding and Disconnect ([14:54])
Wealthy elites like Howard Lutnick, Elon Musk, and MacKenzie Bezos discussed as examples of unhealthy relationships to wealth and power.
Lutnick gleefully calling himself Trump’s “$25 billion p*ssy”—used as evidence of moral rot.
Billionaires are compared to “hoarders”—disconnected from normal society and reality.
Quote:
“Being a billionaire itself is a vessel… it’s a hoarder mentality. I think billionaires have some sort of mental disorder that says: I cannot get enough money.”
—Lee McGowan, [14:54]
Building Elysiums & ‘Epstein Islands’ ([16:52])
Billionaires are attempting to build walled, utopian “mini-cities” for the 1% in Latin America—a real-world dystopian segregation happening out of public eye.
Trump’s involvement in foreign elections and the “HondurasGate” scandal noted as part of a broader pattern.
Quote:
“They’re building these cities in Latin America right now… walled cities for the 1%… like Epstein Islands.”
—Lee McGowan, [16:52]
Albania Island Scandal ([18:21])
Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are linked to controversial real estate projects in Albania, provoking local protests over corruption and displacement.
Their casual attitude toward exploiting land and people is described as emblematic of an entitled, disconnected elite.
Quote:
“The Rothschilds drove you right there and said, do you want it? And she was like, I do, Ariana Grande style: ‘I saw it, I got it.’”
—Lee McGowan, [20:14]
Media’s Complicity & Accountability Failure ([20:14])
American mainstream media is criticized for normalizing billionaire attitudes and failing to report thoroughly on these global abuses of power.
The US sends unqualified, connected billionaires to conduct diplomacy—neglecting expertise entirely.
Quote:
“We are not serious as a country with this leadership. We are serious about making sure billionaires make more money… It really should have a backlash.”
—Lee McGowan, [21:52]
US healthcare dependence on employment, giant size, and lack of social safety net prevent American protest movements akin to European ones.
The importance of “subversive resistance” (e.g., small acts of sabotage in the system) is advocated.
Quote:
“We don’t have the same ability to fight back… our health care is tied to jobs, marriages, it traps us. To talk about being a land of freedom when we’re literally trapped…”
—Lee McGowan, [23:20]
Lee expresses skepticism that current Democratic leadership will rise to the moment, but says the only path forward is to elect them—and pressure them hard for accountability and real reform.
Both hosts and guest discuss past Democratic failures to hold Republicans and elites accountable (Bush, Cheney, Trump, Ginni Thomas).
Quote:
“The Democratic Party absolutely has to come to a realization that you either fight back or you lose. And that’s what we keep doing—losing.”
—Lee McGowan, [25:31]
Powerful metaphor for national decay: The White House “reflecting pool” as a symbol of broader institutional rot.
Quote:
“It’s a metaphor… You hired the wrong person, paid too much, did it poor, tried to fix it poorly—now it’s worse. That is Trump in a nightmare.”
—Lee McGowan, [26:31]
Focus Group on Trump Supporters ([27:05])
A video of female Trump supporters expressing sexual desire for Trump is cited as a barometer of US cultural confusion, “capitalists with no capital, racing to vote for Musk, Bezos, and now, alarmingly, wanting to have sex with Donald Trump.”
Quote:
“If you’ve chosen to go on Jubilee and talk about how you’re a woman and don’t think you should have women’s rights… that’s a different kind of person.”
—Lee McGowan, [29:35]
What Next: Cultural and Political Renewal ([31:49])
Lee calls for genuinely incorruptible leadership—suggesting a “matriarchal” approach (centering children, the vulnerable), and ending the cycles of corruption, secrecy, and unaccountability.
Integrity, she argues, can "trickle down" from above.
Quote:
“If you center the children, the people having the hardest time, everyone else will do fine. If our kids have clean water, great education… so do the rest of us.”
—Lee McGowan, [31:49]
On MAGA Trad Wives:
“You’re smarter than him, you had a better job than him. Go back to that. Show women who they should be. This trad wife thing is terrifying.”
– Lee McGowan, [05:05]
On Billionaires:
“If you went into my house and I had 10,000 typewriters, you’d be like: Lee, this is too many typewriters… It’s a hoarder mentality.”
– Lee McGowan, [14:54]
On American Protestability:
“Americans… are dependent on their job, which is dependent on their healthcare… We are all far away from D.C. For us to get there: have a hotel, miss work, lose healthcare? It’s very hard.”
– Lee McGowan, [22:51]
On Democratic Accountability:
“You either fight back or you lose. And that’s what we keep doing, losing.”
– Lee McGowan, [25:31]
On Cultural Degeneration:
“You keep thinking it can’t get lower, and it gets lower—bottom feeder type behavior. That’s the degradation of our entire society.”
– Lee McGowan, [28:17]
The episode ends on a call for genuine, accountable leadership—especially from Democrats who must prove with real deliverables that a better America is possible. Lee champions a matriarchal, child-centered societal realignment and pushes listeners to demand both change in power and real follow-through—not just rhetoric.
