Okay, the reflecting pool is a complete disaster. It has a huge, giant fence around it. Now, everything Trump touches dies. And you've probably seen this clip before, but stay tuned because it gets a lot juicier. When asked what happened with the reflecting pool, he always goes to the one person he's obsessed with and loves to blame all of his insecurities and inferiorities on. Play the clip. Okay, ready? Barack Hussein Obama. Have you ever heard of him? Yeah, he spent two years. Okay, so they're asking him about the reflecting pool. His answer is, are you ready? Barack Hussein Obama, like, he just drops this huge bombshell. Well, Obama, now, he's opened his library. You know, he's so swaggy, he has all this swagger. So he comes out and he's now responding to Trump's obsession with him. Play the clip.
Political Commentator 2
Yeah, I obviously have a room in his head, rent free. You do everything with grace. A suite in his head. But the thing about it is, that was always clear to me. Look, first of all, when I was president, the last thing I had time to do was worry about what somebody said somebody said or what my predecessor did.
Political Commentator 1
I mean, it's, it's so true. I mean, it's so fair. Trump is so petty and he's so jealous and he's so bitter. And he is just an example of all of the people he represents. Mediocre at best, at best. White people that have failed forward, that are just clinging on to this idea that they have to keep the system rigged or they're going to be found out.
Political Commentator 3
Well, And I have read so many articles about how Trump's preparation, you know, we've heard that Tulsi Gabbard in the beginning had to give Trump his Fox News hits on the, you know, intelligence briefings or whatever. And I think about all the time he has spent on the ballroom on, you know, super gluing his artifacts in the Oval Office, the auto pin wall, all of the things that don't fucking matter, yet he never has an answer for what matters. And it's always Barack Obama. I mean, I believe the only reason we are still hearing about the Nobel Peace Prize is because Obama has one and Trump will never get one. It's just jealousy of the, you know, the kid that had everything, but everybody hated him and he hates himself and he's so fucking insecure.
Political Commentator 1
Yeah, I think you're spot on about the Nobel Peace Prize. And here Obama goes on and says that Trump won't talk like this to his face. Play the clip.
Political Commentator 2
I believe in face to face. I believe in conversation. So if this, whoever you were talking about was in front of me, which has happened a couple times, he don't talk like that because he knows better.
Political Commentator 1
Right? All of these people, they, they moderate their speech. It's like, I'm so tired of people saying stuff like, oh, well, that person genuinely doesn't believe they're wr. Racist or they don't know they're racist. I'm like, when people moderate their behavior based on who they're around, there is a willful awareness of what they're doing is wrong. There's always this setup for the people like Donald Trump to have an excuse structure or permission structure to not man up or to not own their whatever they are. And this exists so much in white culture, the coddling. And it's true, Trump will not say half the that he says when he's, you know, got the cameras in front of. He's in front of Barack Obama. We saw it at. I believe it was, I don't know if it was a funeral, maybe Jimmy Carter's funeral, I can't remember it was, but he was sitting there next to Obama just hamming it up because he doesn't have the balls and he's not. Or as Jesse Waters would say, he's too low t to confront this stuff to Obama to his face. He won't say it. And so many people live this kind of duplicity. And then there's a permission structure of a support group around them that allow them to perpetuate this. And that is just, just the Soft bigotry in all of that.
Political Commentator 3
Well and at the end of the day Trump is a bully through and through and he is jealous of Barack Obama and he's dying for Barack Obama to like him, to respect him. And that is never going to happen and he knows it. And that's why he' really trying to be charming and endearing around Obama. He does this to everybody though. He talks and then they get in front of him and he's like oh I love him or whatever.
Political Commentator 1
Yeah, except for journalists. And then all of a sudden he has a pair because they are right in front of him exposing. Now if Obama were to say something to his face like a narcissistic injury, some sort of confrontation which I, I think he could melt down. But his whole ethos, his whole self preservation tactics are to avoid these narcissistic injuries. Why he's so fixated on Obama. And it goes back to that White House correspondents dinner when Obama made a joke at his expense, which that's what everybody does at these things. But thin skinned MAGA people, if you call them deplorables or you call them trash, they don't just go whatever, it's just politics is a blood sport. That's a part of it. They literally fatally feel this shit. They fatally feel it if some Debbie in the comment section calls them out, you know, that has she her pronouns in their bio. These people have stage five meltdowns about it. It's craz crazy how sensitive they are moving along. Trump is surrounded by a bunch of rich, corrupt, mediocre people and somebody that is really doing incredibly dangerous work dismantling democracy. Dismantling. The pillar of journalism, of free speech is David Ellison and Larry Ellison. And according to the Wall Street Journal of all places, it's revealing that Trump made a quid pro quo with the Ellison family. Pop this up. Under Trump, the Ellisons and their companies have gotten mega merger approvals plus pieces of tick tock and a 500 billion dollar AI data center plan. A $45 million donation to a Trump 501C4 helped cement the relationship, the Wall Street Journal reports. So what's telling to me about this is again, these people all have to cheat. They can't get the merger approval on their own merit. Elon Musk can't put his name on a ballot and go run. Peter Thiel can't put his name on a ballot and go run. Donald Trump can't make seven or eight billion dollars on his own. They are now basking in a system that was not quite fixed. That was the structures of this white supremacy rigging stuff for mediocre white people to excel were scapegoated by, oh, we're letting black people in Harvard now. And then, you know, everybody freaks out. Now it's on steroids, where all of these people are able to leapfrog over skill or earn. Earning something or on their own merit and pay off Trump because that's what, that's the way Trump likes to operate. Ellison also personally called Trump and dangled an overhaul of CNN and Paramount Skydance if he won the deal for Warner Brothers. And this is such a massive news story. The corruption journalism is so incredibly important. And Donald Trump can, you know, freak out and throw feces at the wall and say, quiet, piggy, and do. All of his journalism is the central component of this country. It writes wrongs, it shines a light on injustice, and then you have to take those things to the court system. Both of these things have been completely dismantled by Donald Trump. And these rich people that claim they love the country, but they don't, they don't believe in any of this stuff because they don't live in a country with borders. They live wherever they want. They do whatever they want. They can't understand what a normal person's life is like, so they operate with impunity and wreck 330 million people's lives. That's before we even get to all of the aid and all that that Elon Musk has cut off.
Political Commentator 3
The corruption is just real. Like, you read about the pardons. Like he. Certain law firms are getting charged like a half a million dollar fees so they can go by pardons. And every pardon you see, okay, he's excused. This person, this person donated $1 million. And you just think about that. That's just on. It just grows and grow, grows anything that benefits Donald Trump. But it just strikes me Donald Trump knows he's not popular and he knows that what he's doing is wrong because he doesn't want to hear that he's not perfect. And so dangling CNN as a way to get him to lube the system. For Larry Ellison, that does not surprise me at all. Because he, he wants to watch five TV screens full of Fox News saying how great he is. And you know what? I don't, I still don't think he would be pleasant or nice. It wouldn't fix him, that's for sure.
Political Commentator 1
No, and this whole war on the press started before Trump. The right wing has always had a real problem with the free press because facts have a liberal bias. The truth leans, you know, the arc of justice bends towards more acceptance, more inclusivity. And the Republican Party likes to throw out that they're so moral and traditional families and, you know, the Judeo Christian values. It's all, it's all they want to rig the system. If you look at the Heritage foundation and Project 2025, Dismantling the Press has been something that has been a huge problem for them. And all of this spawned from FDR success. FDR had, you know, multiple terms as president and he, after the Great Depression, really was a president that showed the people what government could deliver for them materially. And people liked it. He was wildly popular and the Republican Party has been reeling from that ever since. They even made a new amendment. You could only do two terms. They started a war on the press and they are focused and diabolical and they play the long term game. And then enter Trump. Trump has given them the ability to do this transparently. Trump likes to talk about transparency and he's doing all of these things that the Republican Party put on the face. Oh, we love the free. The Constitution. It was all they knew. The free press was a huge, huge problem for them. If it was exposed what a lot of these big swinging dicks were doing, ripping people off. These corporations are lying and causing cancer clusters and all of these things. They didn't want that disinfected. They didn't want that brought into the light. So the Republican Party has been reacting ever since the huge success of Democratic socialist, if you will, fdr. And they have played this long term game in dismantling it. And this is why I would argue that moderate Democratic politics are not enough to mitigate this machine. You have to go back to delivering for people, making people believe in government, showing them what it does. Safety, regulations, clean water, clean, all the stuff and moving along here. Politico is reporting that the Trump administration is running interference for Mark Zuckerberg, another inferior man who went on Joe Rogan's podcast and said that he felt like he was neutered while Joe Biden was president. And I don't know how that is like a something that you want to say out loud on camera, but nonetheless, these men do this. Tommy Vitor of Pod Save posted the following. Pop this up. Pretty disgusting quid pro quo here. Tech CEOs like Mark Zuckerberg and Sunder Piachi pay Trump bribes in the form of donations to his inauguration or via lawsuits. And now they don't have to testify before Congress about kids getting exploited. On their platforms. So say it with me again, you guys. MAGA is an anti family, anti child, pro pedophilia death cult. They say they care about kids. They don't. They don't.
Political Commentator 3
You know, every time one of these insufferable billionaires comes out and they're like, on the inauguration, inauguration stage, I immediately am like, what do they want from Trump? So now we're like 18 months into this presidency, okay, we knew Elon Musk. That was a gimme. He needed to get into Doge so he wouldn't go to prison. He said that out loud. But now it's just, it's unbelievable how these billionaires that have everything, the reason they're not using their fuck you money is because they want the rules not to apply to them. Like they see not applying to Donald Trump. Accountability for the elite class doesn't exist. Look no further than Jeffrey Epstein. We have one person in jail over that. All of these people want protection without consequences and no accountability. It's gross. It's really gross.
Political Commentator 1
And the billions of dollars they have, it's not enough. It's not enough. It's just like, it unlocks this psychosis in the billionaire class. It unlocks this insatiable level of entit and privilege that is so unbecoming. It is genuinely unbecoming. And speaking of unbecoming, here is Elon. Elon Musk has been unraveling because Congressman Ro K came on this here podcast, spoke to me about Elon Musk heading USAID and a peer reviewed UCLA study that determined that the USAID cuts are going to kill millions of children. Elon Musk, stage five meltdown, titty baby city, fetal position. You've seen it before. So he starts posting old clips of him talking about usaid and let's play this one.
Political Commentator 2
And then when we ask for any evidence whatsoever, I say, well, please connect us with this group of children so we can talk to them and understand more about their issue. We get nothing. We don't. They don't even try to prevent show. I come up with a, with a, with a show orphan, meaning like it's sort of like, well, can we at least see a few kids?
Political Commentator 1
Okay, so here's, here's what he's saying. Like, okay, fine. He's saying, I won't cut the aid. If you can get these kids to call me. Get these kids to zoom me. It's. He's so divorced from morality. These are poor kids with diseases that are looking for grain and clean filtered water to stay alive. And Elon Musk says, can you get me in touch with this group of kids so I can verify the veracity of their claims? That's number one. Number two, my argument that I've had for a long time that as a culture we attribute intelligence to rich people just because we live in such a hyped up steroidal, capitalistic society, we think, God, if somebody gave the system that, well, they must be really smart. It's listen to him speak there. I mean this is like what, sixth grade, seventh grade speaking level? What kind of thought process is that? Get me in touch with these super poor kids in third world countries, get them on a zoom. Like what kind of thinks that? That is a log school thought. I mean that's not a high IQ individual that couldn't go through the thought process of going, oh yeah, these kids are really poor. I it'd be impossible to get me in touch with them, but I could get on my private plane and fly over there and do a ground check. But he is not interested in that. That's not what any of this was about. Some on all of these guys being smart. The only thing these good, these guys are good at is exploiting people and spiraling out in their manic psychosis. It's true.
Political Commentator 3
It's absolutely true. And my thing is like, okay, you know where Starlink goes And not like he knows this is the big. It's not even a good excuse like you said. And I will say I've admitted on this podcast before, before I knew anything about Elon Musk, I thought, oh well, he invented Tesla, must be smart. I was so wrong.
Political Commentator 1
I attributed he didn't invent Tesla.
Political Commentator 3
No, I know, just bought it. But I'm just saying like so I was, I did that I attributed to Elon Musk. Oh, he must be smart. Now I'm thinking this is the dumbest on the planet. No wonder he has to get all these baby mamas. No one could stand him for more than 10 minutes.
Political Commentator 1
Yeah, and I mean this is a guy who again, the a trillionaire. I heard a SpaceX is tanking now, but whatever. I mean he's got more money than could boat that could choke every bull on the planet, right? And he's still broken. He's sitting here spiraling out because Ro Khanna is calling him out. And his legacy will forever be, in my opinion, the richest man in the world that ever existed, that killed the most children in the world just because he's a broken piece of. All right, that's all we have like subscribe Comment we'll be back later with more news.

In this episode, Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan dive into former President Barack Obama’s rare public response to Donald Trump’s relentless, years-long fixation on him. Set against a backdrop of escalating billionaire-driven political corruption and attacks on the free press, the hosts employ their signature comedic and cutting tone to explore the deeper psychological and systemic roots of Trump’s obsession, broader right-wing attacks on democracy, and the enabling environment fostered by elite powerbrokers like the Ellison family, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk.

This episode is a blistering yet humorous condemnation of Trump’s persistent envy toward Obama, the billionaire-enabled corrosion of democracy, and the moral emptiness at the upper echelons of power. The IHIP team blends incisive political insight, pop culture references, and biting wit to highlight patterns of hypocrisy, privilege, and narcissism pervasive not only in Trump—but also in the class of ultra-wealthy enablers shaping the current American landscape.
For listeners seeking catharsis, context, and darkly funny progressive commentary—it’s a can’t-miss installment.
