Critic of Caroline Levitt
The lies and callous disregard for the truth that plague the press secretary for the White House, Caroline Levitt, are disgusting. She sits there with her cross on while she says, oh yeah, we're going to deport Americans to El Salvador. Here we go.
White House Press Secretary
President has discussed this idea quite a few times publicly. He's also discussed it privately. You're referring to the President's idea for American citizens to potentially be deported. These would be heinous violent criminals who have broken our nation's laws repeatedly. And these are violent repeat offenders in American streets. The President has said if it's legal, right? If there is a legal pathway to do that. He's not sure. We are not sure if there is. It's an idea that he has simply floated and has discussed very publicly, as in the effort of transparency. Reagan.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Okay, I have a couple things about this. Number one, when you start talking about deporting American citizens, you should know whether it's legal or not before you start talking about it. Two, why would we trust this administration to to determine whether or not a violent offender is a repeat offender if they've broken the laws because they are ripping brown people off the streets and deporting them to El Salvadorian prison camps for no reason. I am disgusted and horrified that this woman with her big shiny cross sits there and acts like this is no reason, big deal.
Political Commentator
You know, I think a lot of these billionaires that ended up switching teams and supporting Trump got their feelings hurt because kids on college campuses were protesting the war in Palestine and they got very short sighted. And you see this attack on higher education, you see the student at Tufts that was taken off the street and denied duplicates due process. This is authoritarian regime. She's the messenger. She's the handmaid. Tell for a cabinet full of people that want to do really evil, diabolical, all in the name of Jesus, right.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
With their crosses on. So here's something that she said that this term infuriates me. This is Caroline Levitt after she's asked about the Peter Navarro Elon Musk breakup dust up fight.
White House Press Secretary
There's been some Public sparring between Elon Musk and the President's trade adviser Peter Navarro on some of these tariffs. Musk actually referred to Navarro today as being quote, dumber than a sack of bricks. Are you at all, or is the administration, the president, all concerned that this is maybe impacting the public's understanding of these tariffs? It might be messing with the message on it. No, look, these are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs. Boys will be boys. And we will let their public sparring.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
This is the press secretary of the White House and a trade advisor and the doge made up government department that's going in, stealing information, shutting down Social Security, firing, firing federal workers, and she's saying boys will be boys. Now I understand this administration is full of misogyny, but this grosses me out. And the fact that she would say that with the straight face as a representative, the President of the United States is even jaw dropping for me.
Political Commentator
But if you remember, during the Access Hollywood tape, Melania Trump was interviewed by Anderson Cooper and she said when Trump said grab him by the pissy, that this was locker room talk. This if you're in the MAGA world, she's speaking their language. And so there are tens of millions of people that are okay with this, that are okay with being lied to, that are okay with being told what lies are their new reality. And they're all misogynist. Very, you know, women and men grew up in very male centered households where women are supposed to play. Oh, I didn't realize that this happened. You know, all of those stereotypes are reinforced in that world and deference is always given to men. This is boy talk. Boys will be boys. This is, and what that is is justifying abuse. And this is what happens in a misogynistic culture. Women are enforced to be dingbats. And it's cute and it's funny and everybody thinks it's neat. And men are enforced and encouraged to do evil shit like they're doing right now.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Right. And we both, we both know President Trump is not going to defend Peter Navarro. He let him go to jail. He's not going to defend Elon Musk. He is going to let them cannibalize each other while we all watch. Which I, I do appreciate that. One thing we've got now is the retaliatory tariffs from China. And so this was her comment regarding Trump's 104% China tariffs on Chinese products.
Political Commentator
Ed, go ahead.
White House Press Secretary
I promise. Yes, thank you. You mentioned the 70 countries or so I'M curious though, under what conditions at this point would President Trump talk to President xi about tariffs? Ms. Look, I just spoke to the President about this and he believes that China wants to make a deal with the United States. He believes China has to make a deal with the United States. It was a mistake for China to retaliate. The president, when America is punched, punches back harder. That's why there will be 104% tariffs going into effect on China tonight at midnight. But the President believes that Xi and China want to make a deal. They just don't know how to get that started. And the president also wanted me to tell all of you that if China.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Reaches out, okay, here's the deal on that. So today she has now said we're going to put 180% tariffs on the United States. She is a strong man. Donald Trump is a wannabe strong man. This is not something that has been thought out. And economic advisors have been brought in to discuss how this is gonna go. And for her to sit there and say when somebody punches, Trump punches back. He started this. He punched first. And the fact that he doesn't want people to retaliate, that is just absolutely insane to me. That he would think that countries would just be like, oh, thank you, sir. May I have another?
Political Commentator
I think he's intentionally breaking the economy. He this is all a multi pronged attack on all of the pillars that Americans hold dear in which we have a reputation of strength in economics, you know, free speech, free press. And this is a sustained attack on all of these things. He doesn't give a shit about the mom and pop short stores all over the country right now that wake up this morning and are paying over 300% higher for the goods that they want because of his dick measuring contest. Was she? He doesn't give a shit about that because the point is to break it. This is to concentrate power to him and all of the oligarchs that went and kissed the ring. Next, he's coming for your money. He's getting our money right now. And next he's coming for years.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
And they should be terrified because his record is not good. Okay? And one thing I just, the incompetence of Caroline Levitt is stunning to me every time she goes out there, but is what is really stunning is you would think if you were the press secretary of the United States of America at the White House, you would educate yourself on what you're talking about. You would take the time to learn the basics about what you're going to be asked and how you can answer intelligently. But not Caroline Levitt. She just rolls out with that cross and says bullshit with the big smirk on her face.
White House Press Secretary
Regards to the Supreme Court ruling on the Alien Enemy Enemies act. You're right, it was a win for the administration. But the justices also said that deportees are entitled to due process. Does the administration agree with that? That's not quite true, Gabe. They said that they are entitled to a petition, habeas petition. And we are going to continue to comply with the law.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
And we are wholly confident she said the magic words. A habeas petition is due process. And here's the deal. I know, I'm a lawyer, so I know that she is surrounded by the White House Counsel's office. Fucking Google it if you don't know. But you are sitting there lying about people being sent to El Salvador and due process. Human rights, it's important. Do your research. And it doesn't surprise me that she's callous about it. But the fact that she wouldn't know what she's talking about and it's so obvious, is there no shame or pride? Or is it just lie with impunity and get through it?
Political Commentator
I think it's all, I think it's all a part of the plan. They, they talk about semantics. I think she intentionally looks for opportunities to gaslight. You say you think she's incompetent. I think she is a very competent gaslighter. Her messaging within the maga bubble resonates. They love her. If you get on the maga media bubble, they think she's a boss bitch. They think she's a badass. She is a very skilled manipulator, liar and gaslighter. And all of regimes, authoritarian regimes have messengers like her. The problem pumps is sometimes we're all still clinging on to that. We're playing, you know, the same game here. They're playing a completely different game wherein they've thrown the rule book out and we're still arriving expecting them to play by the same rules that have always been played before. This is a whole new ball. And so Caroline Levitt is a very skilled gaslighter and manipulator in my opinion.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Well, she's a very skilled liar. You got that right. One more thing. I just. In terms of the recession and what's going on with the economics, this was her response and I found it to be non responsive.
White House Press Secretary
Yesterday Goldman Sachs put out a research note. It put the odds of a recession at 45% within the next 12 months up from 35%. But Peter Navarro guaranteed, guaranteed last night, no recession. Does the president agree with him on that? I know the president in the past has been leery of making definitive statements on that.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Ms.
White House Press Secretary
I can speak for the president and I can speak for the optimism that he sees in our economy every day. Again, when you talk about the massive deregulatory efforts that are happening across the board, when you talk about how oil prices are down, gas prices are down.
Critic of Caroline Levitt
Egg prices are down, she doesn't answer the question. We are going into a recession. It is a global stock market drop, and she's talking about oil prices and deregulation. Maybe you're right. Maybe she is a gifted liar and that's why they send her out there. But I look at her and I think this is profound incompetence. It is corruption at the highest level and she should be embarrassed and have shame for lying to people like she does. But maybe that's, maybe I'm missing the point. I think you're exactly right. The more I think about it, I.
Political Commentator
Know, I know it's a hard reality to come to, but I think all of this messaging is gap. It's intentional, it's intentional manipulation and misinformation to the public. Gas prices are down. Trump's so brave to do all these tariffs. You're going to suffer for a little bit, but then we have the golden era. All of this is by design and on purpose. I, I don't think that she's just going out there winging it. They intentionally have the lies and the propaganda and the, and the right wing media echo chamber. And sadly, it's working. It's working. And that's the reality that we all have to face. And that's why it's so important that we apply pressure to Republicans and all of the constituents around the United States of America. If you have a Republican congressman or you have a Republican senator and you're thinking something's not right, something is not right here, my 401k, this doesn't seem right. Under Biden, it was growing, now it's lost, you know, 20%. It's not right because these people are corrupt motherfuckers that are trying to break our country. And that's the message. We have to break through their propaganda and their propaganda machine pumps. It's been going since Reagan. They started this breakdown of making fun of the poor, valuing money, individualism over collectivism. These societies never have any sustaining power. And she is the messenger for this administration. Everything she says is on purpose. It's a part of the con and that's devastating, I know, but all of that is on purpose. They intentionally are lying to a dumbed down electorate. It's an authoritarian play.

IHIP News: Scared White House Lying Nonstop at Horrible Press Briefing
Release Date: April 13, 2025 Hosts: Jennifer Welch & Angie “Pumps” Sullivan
In the April 13, 2025 episode of IHIP News, hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan dive deep into a tumultuous White House press briefing that left listeners both outraged and bewildered. This episode, titled "Scared White House Lying Nonstop at Horrible Press Briefing," dissects the fiasco orchestrated by White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, highlighting the administration's contentious policies, misleading statements, and the broader implications for American politics and society.
The episode opens with Welch and Sullivan expressing their frustration and disbelief over the latest press briefing led by Caroline Levitt. They emphasize the gravity of the administration's misleading narratives and the potential consequences for the American public.
a. Deportation Controversy
The hosts zero in on Levitt's contentious remarks regarding the deportation of American citizens to El Salvador. A notable exchange from the briefing includes Levitt stating:
"President has discussed this idea quite a few times publicly. He's also discussed it privately... If it's legal, right? If there is a legal pathway to do that." ([00:49])
Welch and Sullivan vehemently criticize Levitt's cavalier approach to a serious human rights issue:
"When you start talking about deporting American citizens, you should know whether it's legal or not before you start talking about it." ([01:23])
They highlight the administration's reckless stance on potentially violating legal and ethical standards, underscoring Levitt's apparent disregard for due process and human rights.
b. Peter Navarro and Elon Musk Feud
The episode intensively covers the public spat between trade adviser Peter Navarro and entrepreneur Elon Musk. Levitt attempted to downplay the conflict with remarks like:
"These are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs. Boys will be boys." ([02:56])
Welch and Sullivan find Levitt's dismissal both unprofessional and indicative of deeper misogynistic undertones within the administration:
"She is saying 'boys will be boys.' ... This is just justifying abuse." ([05:04])
c. Economic Mismanagement and Recession Denial
Levitt's handling of economic concerns, particularly the looming recession, is another focal point. When questioned about Goldman Sachs' recession forecast, she responded:
"I can speak for the president and I can speak for the optimism that he sees in our economy every day." ([10:59])
Welch and Sullivan accuse Levitt of evading critical questions and perpetuating misinformation:
"We are going into a recession. It is a global stock market drop, and she's talking about oil prices and deregulation." ([11:13])
The hosts, along with a guest political commentator, delve into the broader tactics employed by the administration to manipulate public perception. They draw parallels between Levitt's strategies and traditional authoritarian regimes:
"She is a very skilled manipulator, liar, and gaslighter. And all of regimes, authoritarian regimes have messengers like her." ([09:19])
Welch and Sullivan discuss how Levitt's messaging aims to distort reality, fostering a narrative that benefits the administration while disenfranchising the public.
A significant portion of the episode examines the administration's aggressive tariff policies, particularly the unprecedented 104% tariffs on Chinese products and the impending 180% tariffs in retaliation. Levitt's justification includes:
"The president believes that Xi and China want to make a deal. They just don't know how to get that started." ([05:30])
Welch and Sullivan argue that these tariffs are economically detrimental, harming everyday Americans and destabilizing international relations:
"It's absolutely insane to me that he would think that countries would just be like, 'Oh, thank you, sir.'" ([06:08])
The hosts analyze how Levitt and the administration utilize propaganda to maintain control over the narrative. They discuss the effectiveness of these tactics in shaping public opinion and the challenges in countering misinformation:
"They intentionally are lying to a dumbed down electorate. It's an authoritarian play." ([12:27])
Welch and Sullivan emphasize the importance of informed resistance and the need to expose such deceptions to safeguard democratic values.
In wrapping up the episode, Welch and Sullivan rally their listeners to stay vigilant and continue resisting the administration's corrosive policies. They stress the necessity of collective action to counteract misinformation and uphold integrity in governance.
"We've got to continue with the resistance. This is the place to be." ([13:42])
Critic of Caroline Levitt: "The lies and callous disregard for the truth that plague the press secretary for the White House, Caroline Levitt, are disgusting." ([00:31])
White House Press Secretary: "These would be heinous violent criminals who have broken our nation's laws repeatedly." ([00:49])
Political Commentator: "She is a very skilled manipulator, liar, and gaslighter." ([09:19])
Critic of Caroline Levitt: "It is corruption at the highest level and she should be embarrassed and have shame for lying to people like she does." ([11:13])
This episode of IHIP News serves as a compelling exposé on the current administration's communication strategies and policy decisions. Welch and Sullivan adeptly dissect the flawed narratives presented by Caroline Levitt, offering listeners a critical perspective on the erosion of truth and integrity within the White House. Their passionate critique underscores the importance of accountability and informed resistance in the face of political deceit.
For listeners seeking an in-depth analysis of the latest political maneuvers and their ramifications, this episode provides a thought-provoking and urgent commentary on the state of American politics in 2025.
