There is a new Pope. He is American and not very maga, which is just a little cherry because I just love watching them spiral. Laura Loomer is losing her mind on Twitter about how anti maga the Pope is. I don't really give a but I am glad for the Catholics of the world that are probably so sick of Americans being nuts right now. They probably heard there's an American Pope and they're like, oh my God. And hopefully he stands for immigrants and he stands for the marginalized. But let's look at what his Twitter can tell us about him. Put this up. Aaron Reichland Melnick has tweeted the new Pope didn't post once in 2024. In 2025 he posted five times. He criticized J.D. vance's take on Jesus, posted an article critiquing Vance's statements on deportation policies, retweeted about the Pope's health twice and retweeted criticism of Trump and Bukele's laughter at Abrego. Gar these are some promising things because I'm sure when the world heard he's American, they're like, oh, so I mean that's kind of a relief because I think that we need everybody to beat this authoritarian fascist regime. And there are a lot of American Catholics who are all about the compassion component of Christ. And then there's a lot of right wing Catholics like Supreme Court members like Alito that are so hard. Right. Want to demonize criminals, super anti gay and some. So I'm glad that at least he seems open minded and compassionate.
Speaker A
Yes. When I first heard that it was an American, because I know Trump had specifically endorsed someone to be Pope, that was my fear. Like, oh my gosh, the Catholics are now going to be right wing maga. So this is encouraging to me.
Speaker B
What's he doing endorsing Pope?
Speaker A
He's putting pictures of himself. You know what?
Speaker B
Okay, let me tell you this. So you know he was the speaker at Alabama, the graduation. So I go into my chatgpt and I said, did Alabama invite Trump to be the speaker? And ChatGPT says no. His office called the university and said he was going to do it. And I said, is this odd? And chat GPT was like, it's incredibly odd. All of the other presidents in the past that have done this have done this by invitation. So he's speaking at Alabama and I think he's doing West Point or some other military academy. And it was all his idea. He wasn't even invited. So what the hell is he doing? He's named Catholic. What the is he doing endorsing a Pope? Okay, that just had to get that off my chest. All right, put up the next. All right, Patriot Takes says the new Pope isn't very maga. And he said he had tweeted, JD Vance is wrong. Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others. And so this is good because J.D. vance is a Catholic. And this is what's kind of weird about J.D. vance. Like he's changed his name five times and then. Which is. That's weird.
Speaker A
That's weird. I think people make a big enough deal about that. That is weird.
Speaker B
I don't either. We need to do a whole episode on yes, we Can.
Speaker A
A grown adult changing their name.
Speaker B
Yeah, yeah. I mean, sociopath, Smokey eye. Socio. Sociopath changing his name. So that's weird. But also, I think the late in life Catholic transfer over. It's a lot like if you want to be a Catholic. Like, it's not like evangelicals where it's like, I'm saved, right? I walk down to the altar and that's it. Like, you got to go to school, you got to go to class, you've got to do a bunch of stuff to become a Catholic. And he's kind of a late in life Catholic. And I think he has multiple personality disorder. J.D.
Speaker A
Vance, he's got something.
Speaker B
Do you remember when he was talking about Trump and bashing him and he had moral clarity on him, A never Trump guy. He's America's Hitler. Yak, yak, blah, blah. Now he's running around with eyeliner, you know, And I mean, I just, I just want to point out again for the record, it's one of the last people Papa Francis saw before. Right. Let's not forget, put up the next Pope Leo, I think is what he goes by now. He also tweeted Pope Francis's letter, JD Vance's ordo amoris, and what the gospel asks of all of us on immigration. And so this is something that is if the Catholic Church is taking a stance. And I think it's the most humane thing to do to show compassion and kindness to immigrants. And you have J.D. vance and Donald Trump wanting to send people to El Salvador. And the thing about that concentration camp in El Salvador, nobody leaves alive, right? Nobody's getting released and rehabilitated.
Speaker A
No, they're not even trying to rehabilitate them. And now they're wanting to send people to Libya. I mean, it's crazy town what they're doing to immigrants. And they've Totally demonized them and dehumanized them.
Speaker B
I think I have, I'm not a religious person, but I think in order to fix this hijacking of religion that's happened in America, it's going to take people within the movement, right, people that are existing Christians to call out the hypocrisy of it. So it's going to take the Catholic Church to call out the J.D. vance's, the Samuel Alitos on their breathtaking hypocrisy and deeply moraled, moral flawed approach to immigration, approach to marginalized groups, approach to the LGBTQ plus because a lot of religious people, this is where like the hard right Catholics and the evangelicals kind of meld, meld. They get myopically focused on these singular issues like abortion or gay marriage or gay people. And I think the, the past Pope has had some ambiguous things about it, but at the end of the day I think he said this shouldn't be our focus. We should focus on lifting people up and meeting people that are struggling the most and meeting them with compassion. So I hope that people within the Catholic Church call out these hard right hardcore Nazi Catholics like Alito and smokey eye sociopath J.D. vance. Okay, and then here's another tweet that Pope Leo retweeted and the original tweeter is Rocco Palmo. And Rocco Palmo tweets as Trump and Bukele use oval to laugh. Feds elicit deportation of a U.S. resident, once an undocumented Salvadorian himself, now D.C. oX Plus Elevio asks, Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed? How can you stay quiet? And I mean this is really where I think as a non religious person, a lot of people say, well they're not real Christians. Well then it's your job as a real Christian then if that's what you are, to reclaim your faith and call out the hypocrisy of those masquerading as Christians. It's kind of like when MAGA tells us we're not real Americans. It's our jobs to say, you're goddamn right we are. I was born in Dallas, Texas. I honor the Constitution, I honor the rule of law and I believe in freedom for everyone. And that includes the most marginalized. And I believe in due process for everyone. And that includes somebody with brown skin. And that might person might even have a criminal record. But they still get to have their day in court. And that's what separates us from banana republics. That's the difference. So the burden is on me as an American. And so I think the burden is on people within the religious movement to help correct and shine the light on the hypocrisy and the hijacking of their religion. If it really is about compassion, they've got to walk the walk and talk the talk. And part of the walking the walk and talking the talk is going to be calling out the hypocrites within the religion that have hijacked the teachings of this particular face, their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Speaker A
Well, I think that it's up to them to clean their own house.
Speaker B
Okay, shifting gears here. Okay, this is. This is what Trump does, you guys. It's almost like he just discovered that the United Kingdom was our top ally. I mean, it's like he was today years old when he figured out the UK Is a big ally for us. And so here is a complete sycophant. Lutnick. I mean, this guy, I mean, he's just unbelievable. He voluntarily emasculates himself on camera. Every chance he can get, he runs.
Speaker A
To the camera to do it.
Speaker B
I'm surprised he hasn't broken an ankle on his way to do it. It is unbelievable. Play the clip really good about the deal.
Speaker C
You've heard the Prime Minister. He feels really good about the deal. Right? And we started at 10%, and we ended at 10%. And the market for America is better. And this is a perfect example of why Donald Trump produced Liberation Day. People don't understand. He gets things done in a matter of time. This would have taken Jameson and I three years, maybe, and instead, we got it done in 45 days, certainly because we work for Donald Trump.
Speaker B
So, okay, he's a dipshit. And what he just said is it started at 10%, and then we settled the deal at 10%. And then he goes on acting like this is some great deal. What he fails to mention in here, which is the most important thing, is that while Trump did this voluntary face plant of the United States of America, people in Britain and the United Kingdom are trying to figure out how to not buy our products. This little, oh, my God, the art of the deal bullshit is the art of the face plant. It is just so damaging. And I guess if you just are at the White House all the time, it's just everybody's beating each other off in a circle nonstop talking about how great they are, and nobody hears the truth.
Speaker A
Well, nobody tells the truth. Nobody hears the truth because there's no truth in the White House right now. And the reality is Trump is announcing these huge chairs. I mean, for Days he's been bragging about his new announcement and it's the exact same thing. Like he sent the stock market S and P, the dollar in the shitter so he could do the exact same thing. It makes no sense. And Howard Luckman is an embarrassment to mankind.
Speaker B
Okay, and then here's Trump talking about the ports being empty and how great he thinks it is. Business has slowed down as you mentioned in China, but we're seeing as a.
Speaker A
Result the ports here in the US the traffic has really slowed and now thousands of dock workers and truck drivers.
Speaker B
Are worried about their job.
Speaker D
That means we lose less money. Ye, when I see that, that means we lose less money. Look, China was making over a trillion, 1.1 trillion in my opinion. You know, different numbers from 500 billion to a trillion or a trillion one. I think it was 1.1.
Speaker B
I can't even hear this guy. Fundamentally doesn't understand.
Speaker A
He doesn't get it.
Speaker B
No, fundamentally doesn't understand it. He does not understand the cascading and generational impacts of how stupid he is sitting in that chair in that office and how much power his voice wields on markets. And then future generations 10 years from now, 10 years from today, if I'm a French person and I'm at work in the French government and the United States, Mag is out and there's some, you know, centrist or center left president that believes in democracy and all this stuff and is trying to make some big deal with US Military or financial. I'm going to say here's my problem. 77 million of your citizens are total dipshits that voted for a criminal. And I just think I am terrified of doing business with you because you only have two and a half more years. Oh well, no, we fixed it. We've done this. Well, Trump came in and broke, broke it all in 100 days.
Speaker A
Right.
Speaker B
So there's just this long term damage that these people don't think about because they're so short sighted. Which, this part right here, what we're about to review right here. This is unbelievable what he's doing. Play this clip.
Speaker D
And if Mattel, I don't know, some, I'm not so sure. They, they also said they're the only country I've heard. They said, well, we're going to go counter, we're going to try going someplace else. That's okay, let him go. And we'll put 100% tariff on his toys and he won't sell one toy in the United States. And that's their biggest Market.
Speaker B
Okay. He is so mad because the CEO of Mattel came out and told the American people the truth. He refused to go along with the propaganda. So Trump is bullying him. This guy who tells Fox and who all the people at Fox humiliate themselves day in and day by saying that Republicans are all about free markets. Not this guy, not this administration. It's about bend the knee, kiss my ass. That's what the whole thing's about. And the CEO at Mattel needs to get other CEOs to the steps of the United States Capitol to apply pressure to these Republican nut job politicians and tell them that they will donate liberally and, and frequently to their opponents and make sure that they are out of office because we have agency. The free markets have agency. This man is not for free markets. And I don't know when Wall street is going to wake up. It's kiss his ass or get the fuck out. And here's the thing, he will not stop at this stuff. At some point he's going to be like, you know, I think I should own Apple. How much money do they make?
Speaker A
Right?
Speaker B
That's just how these things go. And everybody in the private sector is playing a very short, stupid game right now. And they need to get together because it's going to take people like us and private sector to apply pressure to this administration to get Congress to do their job. He needs to be impeached. This crypto stuff, I heard he's like launching surveillance on Greenland. It's just stupid for no reason.
Speaker A
Listen, this here's the thing. People are losing their jobs. He rolled their eyes. That's what I noticed most as he was rolling his eyes. He calls Mattel the country and says he's going to tax it. Like exactly what you said. That is communism. Full, full stop.
Speaker B
It is. And this is just, I cannot understand why more business leaders have not come out. And I don't know if their hands are dirty. You know, Amazon's under investigation. All of Elon Musk companies are under investig investigation. So that's why we know they're kissing his ring. Because they are playing a very short sighted game. Instead of paying their fines and moving on down the road and making sure that their company has sustained longevity. They're playing this stupid short term game with a fascist. And the, the cascading effect of bankrupting the working class of the United States of America. It's just generational.
Speaker A
It is.
Speaker B
All right, that's all we have for today. We'll see you all later.
