Foreign. Have you had it with the make America great again mantra when now that they've been power in power almost a month, everything is worse. Absolutely worse. We have a South African running around just raping and pillaging all of our governmental agencies. And he is so, I believe, an untreated drug addict. And he just contradicts himself left and right on X. Here's the first example. Okay, These were tweets on the same day. The first one is one of the first things Hitler did upon gaining power was apply aggressive censorship. And then he also tweets 60minutes are the biggest liars in the world. They engaged in deliberate deception to interfere with the last election. They deserve a long prison sentence. First of all, I just want to say, if you're starting out your job and there's a lot of comparisons to you and Adolf Hitler and you're doing Sig Heils and then this discrepancy in your tweets, I mean, pumps, come on. What do you think about this?
Host 2
Well, here's the deal with Elon Musk. He is only for spree free speech. If it's what he wants to hear immediately on Twitter, when people started speaking out against him when he first took over the platform, they were banned or blocked or whatever they call it. Then you hear about Tesla employees that complained about his, his company, how they treated employees, they're immediately discharged. So free speech is only for what Elon Musk wants to hear. And if you disagree with him, you're blocked or whatever they do on there. He is the biggest hypocrite of all time. And you mentioned that he's an untreated ketamine addict. I think we can also all agree based on his performance on Twitter or X, he is a Twitter addict. I mean, nobody tweets 1500 times in a week. That's not a full blown net.

And before we go further, everybody in Ihip News Nation today is the star of our show. It is her birthday. It is Pump's birthday. So everybody wish pumps a very happy birthday. You make everybody's lives better. And we are so lucky to have a fierce magus layer like Pumps in our corner. Okay, the next story is Vance and Elon cannot quit supporting Nazis. Here's a tweet I found rather interesting. Elon Musk has endorsed the AfD in Germany's upcoming elections. JD Vance, the vice President of the United States. He flew to Munich and scolded other political parties for refusing to work with the AfD. Below is why Germans who actually know what the hell they are talking about never want to see the AfD in power again. And I'm going to read the highlighted portions of this. That's because the AfD has at times downplayed Hitler's atrocities. Some party members have reveled in Nazi slogans. German intelligence agencies have classified parts of the AfD as extremists. Members have been arrested in connection with multiple plots to overthrow the government. The vice President of the United States went to Munich face planted on the international stage, used pro Putin propaganda talking points, and is now hailed as a hero on Russian state television. And he's representing the United States of America. And he and Elon just keep their Nazi connections. They cannot divorce themselves from them. Because I think if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's a duck. And think about how crazy this is. Pumps. We de Nazified Europe in the Second World War, and now they want to Nazify Europe again. This is horrifying.
Host 2
It's totally horrifying. But it's exactly what I would expect from this MAGA party. These are the same people that are Republicans, allegedly, although I think real Republicans are gone, that want to side with Putin over Ukraine. They don't care about foreign intelligence and keeping America safe because they put Tulsi Gabbard in as the Director of National Intelligence. They are. The MAGA party is a puppet party for Putin. And over the weekend, I heard Viktor Orban, or I'm sorry, J.D. vance, praising Viktor Orban. These are dictators. This is what they want. And it's no surprise to me that the people that are minimizing the Nazis are supported by the same people that are minimizing January 6th. It's all in the same wheelhouse.

So I have to tell you in our listener and viewer something. Yesterday I played pickleball. And after pickleball, I was sitting with some friends. We were watching some other people play, and this woman who claims to be a moderate, we start talking about what Trump and Musk are doing, and all of a sudden she starts parroting. And this is like, she's 10 years older than me. So this is like a grandmother in Oklahoma City. She starts parroting pro Putin propaganda. And I said, you like Putin? Like, the guy's a thug, he's a murderer, he's a war criminal. Like, completely antithetical to real American values and Western democracy. She starts bashing Zelensky. And I said, what is your source on all of this? I'm genuinely curious. She said, tucker Carlson, right? And then. And Then I said, I didn't realize you were such a right winger. She goes, oh, no, I'm a moderate. We're in a really, really troubled time period where this type of information misinformation, disinformation, and where we see an administration that has discredited everything so much, they're discrediting NATO. And she starts bashing NATO and I'm thinking, Vladimir Putin has played the long game with this and he is winning that. You have a grandmother in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, parroting pro Russian talking points. And then she starts talking about Tulsa Gabbard and how much she likes her. And I just looked at her and I said, like, I, I don't argue facts. Tulsi Gabbard is a complete nut. She was on a no fly list and I try to give her information, but it's like she's so lost in this propaganda. It cannot be overstated how impactful the right wing propaganda machine has been in radicalizing people that think that they are moderates and listener. It's very important where you get your news and how you get your news. And pumps and I stay alert at all times because we both use Ground News. Ground News is a female founded independent news organization and they support our podcast. And every single morning pumps and I get on Ground News and you're able to see from any article, does it have a right wing spin on it? A left wing spin? It is a game changer because as active, responsible citizens, we must get our news from reliable sources and know what is in the news. Pumps.
Host 2
My favorite thing about Ground News is their blind spot feature and it tells you what they're reading on the left and what they're reading on the right about particular subjects. So it gives you an insight as to, okay, why does this woman think Tulsi Gabbard's so great? Well, you look and see where the news is coming from on the right and then it goes and tells you how factual this is. So this is a very, very important tool in Trump's America.

That's ground G R O U N D news.com I H I P and the link will be right below in the show notes. Okay, all of this is Rather daunting, especially on your birthday pumps. I wanted to give you a little presentation and I saw this clip from Michael Steele and he used to be the chairman of the Republican Party and has since found enlightenment. And this is the energy we need. And this is the birthday energy pumps needs to get through this President's Day, considering who the president is. Kylie, please play the clip.
Michael Steele
Really? Like the beginning of this piece where Ellie says that Democrats are like the varsity chess team being told it's their time to start the football game.
Host 1
Oh, Lord.
Michael Steele
Accurate.
Guest 1
So accurate.
Guest 2
What would you have us do?
Guest 1
I would actually. You know what? I just like you to show that you give a damn, that you got a little emotion about the fact that people are losing their jobs indiscriminately. That this, this individual sitting at down 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has given absolute power to one man who brings his son into the Oval Office, whose son says to him, you're not the president, you shouldn't be in that chair. Now, where did he get that from? He got it from his daddy, because that's what his daddy thinks of the man who brought him into the Oval Office. So I just like to see somebody wake the hell up and get excited about the fact that, that your country is under assault. They're not at the gate anymore. They're in your bedrooms, they're in your living rooms. They're in your businesses. They got your data, dumbass. They got all your stuff. Elon Musk has his tentacles in everything you're doing. Not just off of X, but now he's in the Treasury Department, he's in the Labor Department, he's in the Department of Homeland Security, and nobody seems to give a damn. So that's all. I want somebody to show that they care enough to get off their fat ass and say something about it.
Michael Steele
But let's be honest, they're gonna have to be Republicans who then ultimately, oh.
Guest 1
The hell with Republicans.
Michael Steele
They're the problem from a numbers perspective. My point is, if you actually want any real accountability, it's like you've seen we had Jimmy Raskin on last weekend, he was talking about sort of this novel legal theory and he was asked, are you willing to bring articles impeachment yet again to President Trump? And he said, you find me two or three Republicans and then we actually have a conversation about some of that.
Guest 1
Well, that's a ballot box thing. So what's the strategy to get those people who are strip mining our federal bureaucracy who are stripping away your rights? How do they keep their seats?
Guest 2
It hasn't even been a month.
Host 1
Thank you.
Guest 2
We are supposed to wait until the midterm elections.
Guest 1
I don't, I'm not saying wait till the midterm elections.
Guest 2
Well, I guess what I am saying is I used to not be one of those people that were like, people are like, oh, we're not gonna have elections in four years. I'm like, y'all gotta chill out. I am thoroughly concerned about how we survive. And it just makes me think about this movie that I saw on the plane a couple months ago, Civil War. It wasn't necessarily great, but in the movie Civil War, like all hell was breaking loose in Washington D.C. and in places all across the country. And there were people in the middle of the country that were just living their lives like nothing was happening. And I think that that is actually where we are. And there are going to be a lot of people that are going to continue to just go on about their daily lives as though Rome is not burning.
Host 1
Pops, what are your thoughts on that?
Host 2
Well, I love Michael Steele and he's smart and he's right. We need to. This needs to be loud all day, every day. Because I believe that the people in the middle of the country, particularly around us, they think whatever Tucker Carlson says is right or whatever they hear on Fox News is right. So they don't know Rome is burning. So we need to get it out there in digestible pieces because Elon Musk is running the government. There's zero doubt about that. I have no idea what he's going to do with all this data, but I'm sure he's going to fuck everybody for his own gain. And Trump is either too stupid or, or infirm to do anything about it or care. And J.D. vance is everybody's craving as Elon Musk. So this is panic, this is hair on fire situation.
Host 1
I agree. And I think that Michael Steele was 100% right. Give a damn. I mean, people are getting fired from their jobs and Americans are celebrating it. And what people don't realize is a lot of people that work for the federal government are just like you and they have a job and they have a family and they have insurance benefits from this and they're just firing people with reckless abandon. And I saw a report this morning they're going to lay off more people at the faa. You cannot tell me all of this is not going to be recession inducing and inflationary to the economy. Not to mention the fact that NATO is what has held world peace together and they have. Trump has for nine years propagated Putin's talking points that NATO is the enemy. And somehow Putin, a guy who is a thug, a dictator, is our friend. And you have millions of Americans that are going along with this. Millions of Americans that think, oh, my God, Tulsi Gabbard is great. This is a major, major, major problem. And I hope that we can get more organized because I, I agree with. I think her name is Simone. Yeah, I don't know. The midterms, I don't think are going to save us. But everybody, please, wish pumps. Very, very happy birthday and we will see you all later this afternoon.
