Only thing that's keeping the United States from a full blown autocracy is the court system. And I'm not being hyperbolic, this is true. Trump has declared an imaginary war with the Alien Enemies act and we see the Supreme Court, even Trump's Supreme Court ruled against him. This is what came out from the Supreme Court. Supreme Court blocks Trump from deporting any immigrants under the Alien Enemies act until further notice. Significant victory blocks Trump's deportation, including to El Salvador until full review of the case. Ruling with 72 Thomas and Alito voting for concentration camps. Obviously I'm pleased with this ruling. Even a broken clock gets it right twice a day. What is going on with Alito and Thomas? Who are these staunch constitutionalists? They have absolutely willingly thrown the United States into autocracy.
Political Commentator 2
I think that Alito and Thomas, you can look to them as indicative to the Republican country club crowd that has been educated that knows better that even they can fall prey to right wing propaganda. I mean both of these guys are Ivy League educated have spent their lives in, you know, the judiciary and even they have fallen prey to the moral failure of getting red pilled. And their wives are total enablers. Both of the wives, Jenny Thomas, was a planner of January 6th.
Political Commentator 1
Right.
Political Commentator 2
And nobody did anything about that. The Democrats just let that completely slide during the Biden era. And then the next one, Alito's wife, is, you know, parading around with all these insurrection flags on their properties. And nobody does anything about that. And so the thing that pisses me off about MAGA is they do all of this shit with impunity. And I think that this is why the Democrats have a 20 something percentage approval rating. And I think if you saw the Democratic Party from the top say, Schumer's out, Hakeem Jeffries is out, we're putting fighters at the top, and they went on a tear, I think you'd see if the Democrats could outwardly see their party fighting for them, I think you would see those numbers increase and increase and increase. But nobody does anything about this shit. Democrats are complicit in letting this shit happen.
Political Commentator 1
Right. Under the Biden administration, we all knew that Jenni Thomas was texting Mark Meadows, she was a planner of January six. That was Biden and Merrick Garland. They did nothing.
Political Commentator 2
Right.
Political Commentator 1
And so you're right, they are complicit with that. And then the Alito thing, his wife is just, they're just crazy religious nuts.
Political Commentator 2
Yeah. And probably there's something always with this, there's something Freudian, like maybe Alito is a closet case or, you know, has, he's impotent, he can't get it up or something. There's some other, you know, deep seated Freudian factor that causes these broken people to fall prey to this cruel, hateful cult.
Political Commentator 1
And I really can't imagine a more bipartisan issue than ethics in the Supreme Court. And we can't get that going because Republicans won't come on board. But Democrats had the House, they didn't do it. So we've got a real problem with the judiciary. But to this point, the Supreme Court in this case, you know, we've seen what they've done, is holding the line, which moves us to, as you know, the Supreme Court a few weeks ago said, Trump administration, you have to facilitate the return of Garcia. And so in New York, the sdny, yesterday we have, after a brutal hearing in the sdny, a federal judge in New York extended an order blocking the Trump administration use of wartime statute against Venezuelan immigrants in his jurisdiction without notice. And A hearing. He compared it to an inquisition, like medieval Times. Can you imagine, in 2025, this is the kind of justice the Trump administration is rolling out. And it's literally, other than the courts, it is going unchecked.
Political Commentator 2
You know, and this is where I get back to this point, okay? The Supreme Court knew that this guy is a criminal, a convicted felon, and they were complicit in this stalling of the Jack Smith investigation and giving him immunity, which then emboldened the most criminal corrupt president this country has ever seen. And so now they're trying to Monday morning quarterback it with some of this stuff. But the, the autopsy on Trumpism is going to have everybody's hands dirty. When Biden won, he didn't clean up the Supreme Court. And he could have, and he didn't do anything about it. And then we have this Supreme Court, which, you know, we're. We're thinking about what Amy Coney Barrett, how she's going to vote.
Political Commentator 1
Right.
Political Commentator 2
Or John Roberts is going to vote. And, you know, their approval rating is actually worse than the Democrats. But I just. This is why the approv approval ratings on all of this are so bad. Because nobody has conviction. Nobody stands up and said, this man is a criminal. The wife of Thomas is a nut bag. Her hands are dirty. We, you know, this is disqualifying. He needs to be recused from all of this. I think he should be impeached off the court, but nobody does anything about it. And then we're all sitting here trying to piece together how this all happened. And it's. He is a product of the failure of American culture and American governing, where we value corporations, their profit over human beings, and everybody's hands are dirty in this shit. And there's one power duo that actually is getting tens of thousands of people to show up all the time, and that is Bernie Sanders and aoc. And they speak truth to power and they speak about, you know, a populist economic message. You don't hear any of these Democrats, establishment Democrats, talking about how successful they're being. Why? Because the establishment Democrats are beholden to the same corporations. And so this is, you know, this is the frustration and the failure of American culture.
Political Commentator 1
Absolutely. And it goes back again to another failure of the Supreme Court when the Supreme Court ruled in the Chevron matter that you could. Corporations could throw unlimited money into political races. And now we see Elon Musk, you know, $300 million. Right. I'm sorry. Citizens United. Okay, moving on. As we've talked about Garcia, he was Taken to El Salvador without due process. Trump administration's lying about it. Supreme Court says you have to facilitate his return. Lower court says, okay, we're going to monitor that. How's it going? Well, here we are. Judges live it at the Trump administration for what? She says it's willful bad faith and evasive refusal to answer questions about the improper deportation of Kilmer Abrego Garcia. Garcia. She's demanding more details by tomorrow. And in her order, willful and bad faith. Refusal to comply with discovery obligations. That might sound mundane, but refusal to comply with discovery is a very serious matter in court. Because it's when you say, this is my evidence, this is why I'm doing what I'm doing. And what we're seeing in no shock. The Trump administration is acting in bad faith because Trump saying, oh, we won nine to zero in the Supreme Court, oh, we don't know. I can't get the President to send it back. This is a man's life and these Republicans are willing to sacrifice innocent people and say that he's in some kind of gang member. I got another gang member for you. Guy who has white supremacy tattoos. He's leaking national secrets on signal. So if you're going to be so judgmental about what tattoos people have, start with your white supremacist defense secretary. That's wholly incompetent.
Political Commentator 2
And this is the, this is the, this is what's at the heart of this matter is right now the Trump administration is going on all of the right wing hate channels to say, oh, he's a gang member and he's a criminal and we're not going to call him a Maryland dad. And, you know, basically they're swiftboating this man. And at the, at the heart of this is, it's simple. It doesn't matter if he is a gang member. It doesn't matter what his past has. We always provide people due process. That is the difference. We don't kidnap people and then send them to an concentration camp and incarcerate them outside of American soil until they've had their day in court, with evidence, with a judge. And that's what makes us different. And Trump has completely eviscerated all of that. And the cascading effects of that are impacts every single part of America. It will impact the economy because people do not like to invest their money in corrupt governments. It will impact when one day there's a, you know, somebody's kid who maybe has a little bit of melon in their skin, just all of a sudden Gets disappeared and sent to El Salvador. And it just starts going and going and going and going. So this is a hill you have to die on. And, you know, frustrates me that you hear a lot of people in the Democratic establishment say, oh, they're putting too much emphasis on this. Or they're putting too much emphasis on that. And it's like, we're not fucking stupid. That's. That's what I think is so irritating for me about the Democratic establishment is they think we're dumb. They think they can tell us the way Fox News tells its watchers, here's what we care about today. And then they're like, okay, good. This is, you know, hate him, love her, blah, blah. And the Democrat establish Democratic establishment is trying to do that to us. And it's like, we're not stupid. We see exactly what's happening here. They disappeared him and now they're running his name through the mud. And it is a big fucking deal. It is a huge deal. And there's nobody even talks about that gay barber.
Political Commentator 1
Right.
Political Commentator 2
That they disappeared. Whatever happened to him, I think he's.
Political Commentator 1
Still in El Salvador.
Political Commentator 2
Yeah. And so it's just like, if that's who MAGA wants to be, then be it. We've seen it. We saw what you did on January 6th. We see what you do. We see the shit you post. We see the Sig Heils. We see all the Confederate flags. We see the Nazi flags. We know exactly who you are. We get it. We get it loud and clear. But we're not that. And we don't want to be that. And we're going to fight for your kids and your grandkids to not get disappeared because we're not pieces of shit like you are. And that's the difference. And I don't know why it's so hard for Democrats just to not say it like that. Instead, we're talking about, should we play it this way or should we play it this way? I don't know, maybe like, play it with some. With a spine and with some conviction and saying that's fucked up and it's wrong. But there are a couple of Democrats that went down there like that. We had him on.
Political Commentator 1
Yes, I know exactly who you're talking about.
Political Commentator 2
And the young one from Florida.
Political Commentator 1
Yes.
Political Commentator 2
Okay. We're having a senior moment. Maxwell Frost.
Political Commentator 1
Maxwell Frost.
Political Commentator 2
And is it Garcia? Yes, Robert Garcia. Robert Garcia.
Political Commentator 1
Yeah.
Political Commentator 2
And they're like, totally fighting the. Thank you. It's our millennial producer chairman. But I see them. And then also the senator and, and these are the Democratic voices that need to be elevated to the top. These are, you know, the Schumer and the Hakeem Jeffries. Hit the brakes. You're the reason we're at 20 something percent. Quit telling everybody how the Democratic Party. We need some centrist savior. That didn't work out well for Kamala Harris when she trotted around with Liz. And the courts are like Pump said at the beginning of this, barely helping us kind of keep this together. But we need to elevate the voices of people that are going to fight for the right causes and don't give a shit if they're re elected or not. That they'll. That's a hill that they'll die on. Having conviction, having a spine, fighting for due process, fighting for the marginalized, fighting for every American. Freedom means freedom for all. And I'm just, I've had it with the Democratic leadership. Had it.
Political Commentator 1
No, I've completely had it with them. And it is so unbelievable that we are pinning all of our hopes to keep our country a democracy on Amy Cone, Coney Barrett, the Handmaid and Chief Justice Roberts, who didn't even make Clarence Thomas recused from cases after his wife was part of the planning of January six. I mean, we're on, we're hanging by a thread here, people. By a thread. Please stick with us. We'll keep watching the news and we're trying to get to 1 million subscribers, so please subscribe. Episode Title: WOW! Judge Demanding Answers From Trump; Exposes Illegal Behavior
Release Date: April 26, 2025
Hosts: Jennifer Welch & Angie “Pumps” Sullivan
In the April 26, 2025 episode of IHIP News, hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan delve deep into the tumultuous intersection of the judiciary and political landscape in the United States. The episode, titled "WOW! Judge Demanding Answers From Trump; Exposes Illegal Behavior," offers a critical analysis of recent Supreme Court decisions, the Trump administration's actions, and the broader implications for American democracy.
Jennifer Welch opens the discussion by emphasizing the pivotal role of the Supreme Court in safeguarding the United States from sliding into autocracy. She states, "The only thing that's keeping the United States from a full-blown autocracy is the court system. And I'm not being hyperbolic, this is true." (01:39)
She highlights the recent Supreme Court ruling that blocks Trump from deporting immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act, viewing it as a significant victory. However, Welch expresses frustration over Justices Thomas and Alito, accusing them of undermining constitutional principles and pushing the nation towards authoritarianism. "They have absolutely willingly thrown the United States into autocracy." (01:50)
Angie Sullivan responds by critiquing Justices Alito and Thomas, suggesting their personal lives influence their judicial decisions. She remarks, "Both of these guys are Ivy League educated have spent their lives in the judiciary and even they have fallen prey to the moral failure of getting red pilled." (02:28)
Sullivan goes further to accuse their wives of being enablers in the January 6th insurrection, stating, "Jenny Thomas was a planner of January 6th... And nobody did anything about that." (03:17) She laments the Democratic Party's inaction in addressing these ethical concerns within the judiciary.
Both hosts express deep dissatisfaction with the Democratic leadership, attributing low approval ratings to the party's inability to combat corruption and uphold ethical standards. Welch criticizes figures like Senator Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries for not taking decisive action, suggesting that their passivity contributes to the party's declining support. "We're putting fighters at the top, and they went on a tear, I think you'd see if the Democrats could outwardly see their party fighting for them..." (03:18)
Angie adds, "The Democratic establishment is trying to do that to us. And it's like, we're not stupid. We see exactly what's happening here." (12:00) She emphasizes the need for genuine leadership that prioritizes due process and fights against the erosion of democratic norms.
A significant portion of the discussion centers around the Trump administration's handling of deportations, specifically the case of Robert Garcia. Welch details how Garcia was deported to El Salvador without due process, likening the actions to a modern-day inquisition. "Can you imagine, in 2025, this is the kind of justice the Trump administration is rolling out." (05:50)
Sullivan criticizes the administration's portrayal of Garcia as a gang member, arguing that due process is non-negotiable. "We always provide people due process. That is the difference. We don't kidnap people and then send them to a concentration camp..." (09:43) She warns of the broader societal impacts, including diminished trust in government and the potential for increased injustice.
The hosts express concern over the ethical standards within the Supreme Court, discussing landmark decisions like Chevron and Citizens United that have allowed for significant corporate influence in politics. Welch warns about the implications of allowing corporations to funnel unlimited money into political races, stating, "We're thinking about what Amy Coney Barrett, how she's going to vote. And, you know, their approval rating is actually worse than the Democrats." (06:42)
Sullivan underscores the urgency of addressing these ethical breaches, advocating for the recusal and impeachment of Justices like Thomas. "He's a product of the failure of American culture and American governing, where we value corporations, their profit over human beings." (06:42) Both agree that without rectifying these issues, the judiciary's integrity remains in jeopardy.
IHIP News provides a scathing critique of both the Republican and Democratic parties, highlighting systemic issues within the Supreme Court and the broader judicial system. The hosts argue that the erosion of ethical standards in the judiciary undermines democratic institutions and paves the way for authoritarianism.
The discussion underscores a perceived betrayal by Democratic leaders, who are seen as ineffectual in addressing corruption and ethical breaches within their ranks and the judiciary. The hosts advocate for elevating genuine leaders like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who they believe embody the populist and ethical standards necessary for meaningful change.
Moreover, the episode highlights the dangers of bypassing due process, citing the Garcia case as a stark example of executive overreach and judicial complacency. The hosts warn of the long-term consequences of such actions, including diminished public trust and the potential for widespread injustice.
In this episode of IHIP News, Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan deliver a passionate and critical examination of the current state of the U.S. judiciary and political landscape. They call for accountability, ethical reforms, and stronger leadership within both political parties to preserve the integrity of American democracy. The hosts emphasize the urgent need to address these challenges to prevent the country from descending into autocracy and to uphold the foundational principles of justice and due process.
