I'm excited to have Capt. Martha Spencer aka "freckledfishbum" on IG join us at the 2026 Hunt Fish Podcast Summit. Fishing out of the Venice area in Louisiana, Martha has established herself as one of the top charter boat captains and fishing guides in the area. With an extensive background in offshore big game fishing and inshore species, she has pretty much done it all. But it wasn't always the plan to be a guide. Join us on this episode to hear Martha's story about growing up and starting in her first career as a meteorologist and how that evolved into what she is doing today! Be sure to follow her on IG and Facebook and reach out to book a trip down in the "Fishing Capital of the World" in Venice. Water is something we all need and rely on to be there when we need it. We take it for granted. And it is probably one of the most regulated and political things in the conservation scene today. On this episode, I'm happy to have American River's Matt Rice join us at the 2026 Hunt Fish Podcast Summit here at the Pintail Hunting Club in Texas. Matt has spent the majority of his life on and around river systems from fishing, guiding and now helping to advocate for rivers and all of its beneficiaries. This is a great episode as we dive into why river systems are so important and learn how you can become involved to help out. Be sure to check out American Rivers on their website and social meida channels to keep up with all of their important work across the United States. With a newly released shark documentary and book, Chester also formed the Gulf Great White Shark Society to get people more involved and informed.
