I'm really big on fuel and I've talked about this before, especially on my YouTube channel, but I'm really big on what kind of fuel we are operating from. You know.
I am somebody who operates pretty well off of like pressure and a little bit of fear.
That it almost like hardwired my, my being to like wait until I had that to really, you know, get into motion. And then I noticed when I finally got to like a very safe space in life, I, I couldn't find the energy I needed to continue because I was running off of one source of fuel which was, you know, panic and reaction and worry and pressure and yes, these things can really propel you into action.
But it's not sustainable long term. I like to think about life in a way from a point of excitement. Not like, oh man, I need to do this by this age or else boom. But wow, imagine if we create a world for ourself that feels like this. Oh, and what if we did that? And man, I've always had this idea like, oh, maybe we'll be put on the same path as somebody else that will assist us and we can finally bring that creation to life and really doing it from a place of joy and curiosity versus oh no, I have to do this or else I'm a failure. Oh no, I had to do this or else. Blah, blah, blah, blah blah. That fear based operation, right? You'll find that things start to click a lot easier for you when you shift those intentions and your fuel source. And it's hard because sometimes when like life is showing us all these voids and you know, we are worried and you know, the economies are difficult and we're trying to, you know, maybe get it out the mud that of course we're gonna have a little bit of fear. But even there I think it's an opportunity. I think it's an opportunity to see the fear, to see the worry, but still shift it into something that is like, ooh, excitement and curiosity and possibility and being like. Sometimes when I feel like I'm being challenged by life, I like to be like, oh, life wants me to realize something about myself. Oh man, life really wants me to know how strong I am or how creative I can get or ooh, my ability to pivot or oh man, life is actually giving me this cool experience to reveal something about myself. And when it is revealed, I'm going to be so proud and honored to meet that version of myself. You see how that feels versus, ah, life is doing something to me. And what I don't want to be broken. I don't want to fail, you know? Oh, man. I'm about to meet a new version of myself in this season. Ah, beautiful.
It's a different energy source that will carry you forward for the rest of your life. It's much more sustainable, you know, Think about cars. You know, you have gasoline cars, you have diesel cars, you have electric cars. You know, I have an electric car. I'll be honest, I love having an electric car. For me, it's just easier. I don't gotta get oil changes. All I gotta do is charge up at a station and that's about it. I love it. I drove a gasoline car my whole life and in the last three, four years, been driving electric. Feel a lot lighter. Life is a lot better when you feel lighter, right? Same thing goes with your life. Like, what are you operating from? You know, what are your intentions? You know, like, maybe you're dating. Like, what's your intentions with that? Like, how's your mindset around that? Is it fear based? Is it worry? I have no time. I have no time. I have no time or I'll everybody. I can't trust nobody. Or is it like, man, like, I get to explore. I get to meet new people. I get to see if others have the capacity to match my capacity to love. When you have negative experiences, it's like, okay, I know what I like and what I don't like. I'm getting closer. I'm getting closer to realizing the type of partner that I truly want. Ah, the puzzle pieces are coming together. You know, self talk is really important and I'm working on some cool experiences to help us and guide us through that. Because the way we talk to ourselves is really everything. 80% of our problems are in the mind. Yeah, like they're in life and reality. But the way we navigate through it is everything. Two people could go through the exact same thing and completely have a different experience. One person could thrive. One person could be broken down. Why? Mindset, right? The grace we have with ourselves, the way we look at things is so important. You ever met somebody or maybe you are this person who's just like senile about everything, just negative about everything, just assumes the worst about everything. And then what happens in their life? Negative things happen in their life. That's why I always say it's good to just be like a tiny bit naive. Not, not to the point where, like life is tricking you, but to the point that you believe in magic and possibilities and you remain open to life and that's what we are doing. We are remaining open to life and we are going on a beautiful, beautiful journey. But that self talk and that regulation that we have with ourselves is so important. It's so important. When you wake up and you look in the mirror, what is the first thought? Is it, oh, I don't like that about myself. Why are you hating on yourself so early? You just woke up. Why are you hating on yourself? Find something you love about yourself every single day. Love yourself during the transformation, right? A lot of us say, I'll love myself when my body looks like this. I'll love myself when my finances look like this. I'll love myself when no while through the transformation.
Nurture yourself through the transformation. See yourself through the transformation.
Very important. This is how we tap into limitless sources of fuel. And I believe we just, like, align with, like, I don't know. Sometimes I feel like the universe runs on its own algorithm. And sometimes you just gotta align with it. And when you're running off the right fuel, the universe is like, ah, okay, let's pour. Let's pour into her life. Let's pour into his life. Oh, let's make these things connect behind the scenes for them, right? Because they're in the right place. Mindset and intention in the right place. They're operating from a source of fuel that is good for them and those around them. And I think it's just important to know, like, what are you operating off of? Right? Like, sometimes, yeah, it's like, hey, like, there's a lot of fear in my life. There's a lot of worry, and that's that. That may get you up off your feet. Cool. And get you going. But then at some point, you still want to switch to energy source and move into curiosity, move into excitement, move into joy, move into possibility. Right? You can keep a little bit of the fear there just to keep you on your toes. But do not be consumed by the fears because it will break you down and it will change your appearance. It's true, right? Like, it's actually crazy, you know, like, some people, like, who are, like, very angry look angry. Like, you could see it on their face. I actually watched a video about this, and I think there's actually some type of, like, science to this. Well, I don't know. I'm not a scientist. Y'. All. Y' all know this, but, like, obviously when we're angry and we're stressed, like, you know, certain levels in us, you know, rise and. Yeah, this could, like, change your skin. This could, like, Change your appearance. But those who are running off a beautiful energy source, I believe. Oh, man. Their essence, their energy, their aura is just glowing. Their face is lighter. Their eyes, ooh, you look at your eyes, you just get calm yourself. Isn't that the type of people we want to be?
Of course, of course. So we're finding new energy sources to run off of, right? Oh, okay. Yeah. Maybe finances are a little bit tight in this season. Maybe you shift the perspective to I need money.
To, ah, you know, money, money is an energy. Let me get familiar with this energy and see what I am capable of. Ah, instead of, I don't want to be broke. Right. Let me see how creative I can get. I want to meet that version of myself that. That version of myself that thinks outside the box. That version of myself that contacts 50 different people for opportunities or to bring opportunities. That version of myself that releases the fear of judgment and what people might think of me and just goes and get it. Ask yourself, what is life trying to show me? Which version of me is trying to reveal itself? Right. You know, I've heard this quote before or this saying where you know, before you come to earth or you know, while you're here, you're like, God, I want to be more patient. So what does God do? It doesn't just give you patience. He gives you the experience.
To craft patience. Right? You really want something to happen? Well, it's going to take five years. Here's your opportunity to learn patience. God, I want love in my life. Oh, you want love. Okay, well, I'm going to put you through a trigger season so you can heal the parts of you that would end up damaging the right partner. So here you go. Let's go on this self love journey, you understand? And really see yourself on a new level. Man. God, I want a lot of money and I want a lot of success. Okay, well, you need to be disciplined. You need to be able to show up even when you're not in the mood. So you know what?
You ain't going to be in the mood. Let's see what you can do. You know, what is life asking you to reveal within yourself? That right there will shift you automatically into curiosity and excitement. And now you have new energy, sustainable, high energy. And you will realize, I have all that I need to succeed. I have all that I need to succeed. It's a beautiful thing. It is a beautiful thing to realize that you have all that you need to succeed. Say that after me. I have all that I need to succeed. I have all that I need to succeed.
Yes, you do, because it's already within you. Right? Every characteristic you wish to attain is in you just needs to be activated, watered, nurtured. It needs light, right? It needs opportunity to reveal itself. And that's exactly the perspective we should be in.
And this takes a. This takes like, consistently rectifying our intentions and observing ourselves. Right? Like, we can be like, okay, I'm going to shift, and then we'll fall back into our patterns. So we have to rewire ourself until we're in a new pattern, then continue forward. So this may be something you have to observe in yourself every single day and make sure. Oh, damn. Slipping back into the fear. I'm slipping back into my old patterns. Notice it, rewire it, affirm it to yourself. Have that self talk with yourself, regulate yourself, and then continue forward and you're gonna have all that energy again to succeed. It's going to be beautiful. And you don't know, in hindsight, everything gonna be more than all right, see you soon.
Episode: The Right Fuel
Host: HINDZ
Date: December 4, 2025
In this reflective solo episode, HINDZ explores the metaphor of “fuel” as the emotional and mental source that powers our actions and mindset. He delves into the shift from operating out of fear, pressure, and worry to drawing energy from excitement, curiosity, and joy. Through personal anecdotes, philosophical insights, and practical advice, HINDZ encourages listeners to examine their motivations, practice self-love throughout their journeys, and consciously choose the right “fuel” for a sustainable, fulfilling life.
HINDZ opens with a discussion about the kinds of energy (fuel) we use to drive ourselves, sharing his personal experience of relying on pressure and fear to get things done.
He illustrates this with the transition from a life built on panic and reaction to one that seeks more sustainable, positive energy.
"I am somebody who operates pretty well off of like pressure and a little bit of fear. ...But it's not sustainable long term." (00:14–00:53)
The shift: Moving from fear-based action to ‘what-if’ curiosity and joyful creation.
This new approach is framed around excitement for life’s possibilities rather than desperation to meet expectations.
"Imagine if we create a world for ourselves that feels like this. Oh, and what if we did that?” (00:53)
HINDZ reflects on how fear and scarcity mindsets can become default patterns, especially during difficult times.
He emphasizes seeing challenges as opportunities for self-discovery instead of burdens.
"Sometimes when I feel like I'm being challenged by life, I like to be like, oh, life wants me to realize something about myself.” (01:29)
Shifting the narrative from “life is happening to me” to “life is revealing a new version of me.”
HINDZ likens our internal fuel sources to different car fuels (gasoline, diesel, electric), highlighting the benefits of moving to a lighter, more sustainable energy source.
"I have an electric car... For me, it's just easier. ...Life is a lot better when you feel lighter, right? Same thing goes with your life. Like, what are you operating from?" (03:04–03:29)
Listeners are urged to question their intentions and self-talk, whether in relationships, work, or personal growth.
The way we internally discuss challenges shapes outcomes.
The difference between approaching situations with openness and learning versus defensiveness and judgment.
"Self talk is really important...80% of our problems are in the mind." (03:53)
"When you wake up and you look in the mirror, what is the first thought? Is it, oh, I don't like that about myself. Why are you hating on yourself so early?" (05:30)
He recommends practicing self-love during the process of personal transformation, not only after goals are achieved.
"Love yourself during the transformation, right? A lot of us say, I'll love myself when my body looks like this... No, while through the transformation." (05:49)
HINDZ introduces the idea that when we operate from healthy intentions, the universe aligns to support us.
"Sometimes you just gotta align with it. And when you're running off the right fuel, the universe is like, ah, okay, let's pour. Let's pour into her life. Let's pour into his life." (06:23)
The importance of regularly checking in with oneself to ensure the ‘fuel source’ is curiosity, excitement, and joy—not fear and worry.
HINDZ notes that stress and negativity can show up physically in our appearance and energy, whereas positivity creates a visible lightness and glow.
"Some people, like, who are, like, very angry look angry. Like, you could see it on their face.... Their essence, their energy, their aura is just glowing." (07:13)
He shifts common scarcity narratives (like financial worries) into opportunities to discover creativity and resilience.
"Maybe finances are a little bit tight in this season. Maybe you shift the perspective to... let me see how creative I can get. I want to meet that version of myself..." (08:12)
Famous saying: When we ask for qualities like patience or love, life gives us opportunities to develop them.
"...before you come to earth... you're like, God, I want to be more patient. So what does God do? It doesn't just give you patience. He gives you the experience to craft patience." (09:18)
Self-regulation and consistency are vital—rewiring old patterns takes observation and daily effort.
Affirming one’s self-worth and internal abundance is key.
"Say that after me. I have all that I need to succeed. I have all that I need to succeed." (10:37)
"Every characteristic you wish to attain is in you, just needs to be activated." (10:48)
On energy source:
"It's a different energy source that will carry you forward for the rest of your life. It's much more sustainable..." (03:04)
On perspective:
"When it is revealed, I'm going to be so proud and honored to meet that version of myself. You see how that feels versus, ah, life is doing something to me." (01:49)
On the impact of self-talk:
"Why are you hating on yourself so early? You just woke up. Why are you hating on yourself? Find something you love about yourself every single day." (05:32)
On alignment:
"When you're running off the right fuel, the universe is like, ah, okay, let's pour. Let's pour into her life. Let's pour into his life." (06:23)
On opportunity in challenge:
"What is life asking you to reveal within yourself? That right there will shift you automatically into curiosity and excitement. And now you have new energy, sustainable, high energy." (10:04)
Gentle, encouraging, and nurturing—HINDZ’s delivery is calm and filled with warmth. He addresses listeners as companions on a collective journey of self-discovery, using relatable stories and metaphors to instill hope and a sense of agency.
Shifting your “fuel source” from fear and pressure to excitement, possibility, and joyful curiosity is not just preferable—it’s essential for a sustainable, flourishing life. The journey involves self-awareness, intentional self-talk, daily affirmation, and a willingness to embrace every challenge as an opportunity to unveil a new, powerful version of yourself. And as HINDZ emphasizes, “In hindsight, everything’s gonna be more than all right.”
