There's already word from the Pentagon that they will respond. They continue to respond and the Iranians respond and this ping pong match of carnage will continue. This has been the worst ceasefire ever and it looks like things are escalating. I don't think it's going to slow down. As I've said and warned, I think we should prepare for a very bloody and dangerous summer. There's breaking news out of the Middle east and welcome to a special quick response episode of Independent Americans. I'm Paul Rykoff. I've said that there will be no days off. It is now Saturday night on the East Coast, Saturday evening and we are now finding out that there's breaking news from the Middle east that I want to make sure you know about and you understand and you get my perspective on some things. Can't wait to till Monday. There will be no days off in the summer of 2026. Even if you're like me at a friend's lake house for the weekend, hoping to disconnect from the chaos and the mayhem of a wild week of news. There is now breaking news that two more American service members have been killed by Iran in Jordan. There are many military bases that the US has throughout the region and there are significant air base assets in Jordan. The Iranians have been targeting the bases in Jordan and throughout the region. Now there are two American servicemen. Numbers are confirmed dead, one is missing. We don't know the number of wounded yet, but expect it to be significant, especially if they can't find someone. That could mean that the devastation of the damage from the missile attacks is pretty significant. This is the first confirmed US fatality due to Iranian attacks since April. There was recently a helicopter commander that was lost in the Arabian Sea, but there was no confirmation that that was due to Iranian hostile fire. But this drives the confirmed killed in action by the Iranians since the start of the war to 16. Sixteen now American sons and daughters gone. And two more now families that will be devastated because of Trump's unauthorized, unnecessary and increasingly unpopular war. So as we try to enjoy our weekend or the pending World cup championship tomorrow, two families are getting the most devastating call possible. It's almost unimaginable. Having worked in this space around veterans and the military for two decades now. I've been around the families who've been so devastated by losing a loved one, and there's no way to put it into words, but there is a way to help. Every time we find out about a confirmed casualty, whether it's due to enemy fire, suicide burn pits, any other number of ways that people can die in and around our military, I encourage you to support the heroic work of TAPS Tragedy Assistance Program for survivors, or taps.org, i always link to it in the show Notes. And this is another deadly painful reminder. It's also another deadly and painful reminder of the tremendous human cost of war. Don't let the White House or Hegseth or Trump or anyone else spin it.
