
This week, we promote awareness of “Shoe The World Day – March 15” by visiting a long-forgotten genre that emerged in the late 80s – early 90s. A genre that exploited obscured vocals, guitar distortion, effects, feedback, and overwhelming volume: SHOEGAZE. In part 1, we focused mostly on bands from the UK, but in part 2, we are exploring bands from other parts of the world. These bands use the artistry of guitar innovation to paint some wonderfully layered sonic canvases!
