Let's jump right into what we got for today. Last year the Texas Longhorns took a trip to Athens Georgia and it went poorly. Just putting it lightly, it went poorly. Georgia winning 35 to 10 after taking a 14 to 3 lead to halftime over the Longhorns. That was a really rough game, but 2026 is a new year. The Texas Longhorns are looking to make a their mark and looking to win an SEC championship. Right now we go into the year where it's looking like the top of the SEC is expected to come down to the Georgia Bulldogs versus The Texas Longhorns. Recently Nick Saban came out and explained exactly what the Texas Longhorns need to do so we don't have another outcome like this happen to us this upcoming season. Coming from Nick Costco with on three well, I, I think Texas is one of the teams to beat, you know, in the SEC, no doubt, Nick Saban said on the Pat McAfee Show. But also think Georgia is and I think one of the things that in talking to Sark they have to re establish there because last year they couldn't run the ball, they didn't control the line of scrimmage, they weren't as physical as they needed to be. And you know there is a consequence for that. That's why they struggle with Georgia because Georgia's just been more physical in the trenches than them and they're going to eventually beat Georgia in some way if they want to get where they have to go. So I think that is the emphasis Nick Saban telling the Texas Longhorns that we need to become more physical if we are going to be able to take down Georgia who have made they've made it a habit of winning SEC championships. But that can stop this year if Texas is willing to step up this year, be more physical, establish the lines of scrimmage, which is one of the most important things that has to happen. Last year, the O line specifically for Texas. I really can't put in the defensive line when we talk about establishing the line of scrimmage because defensively the line's been established for Texas over the past couple of years. Last year, one of the main problems was the offensive line was not able to give Arch Manning enough time, and that's part of the reason why Arch Manning was not able to live up to the preseason hype that was laid out before or before him before Week one against Ohio State. However, we are hearing from Nick Saban that Texas needs to be more physical, and Coach Stark is already taking steps in that direction. In fact, Inside Texas has reported that the Longhorns are lifting heavier and have added an extra emphasis on run aggression going into this year. Now, you may hear that and say, well, well, duh. Aren't you supposed to lift as heavy as you can all the time? Isn't that the point of weightlifting and yes, but actually, no. Because the point of weightlifting, if you're a college football player, is you lift weights not only to get stronger or not even to get stronger. You are lifting to be a better football player, getting stronger and being a better football player. They're similar goals, but they're not exactly the same. Lifting heavier in the weight room going into the this preseason, going to training camp, going into the regular season, it is a, you know, a higher risk, higher reward. You got to go in with a strategy. Every team has a strength and conditioning coach. They have a strength and conditioning team. You go into the off season, into your strength and conditioning program with a strategy. You can the the more lifting you do, and the harder you lift, the more tired you're going to be going through the season. And the higher you are going to be at risk for an injury. You're going to be. However, the upside is your team is going to be stronger. Your team is going to be hopefully more prepared unless you suffered an injury. But that is what we are hearing is going to be the strategy for Texas going into this year, which is perfect because if you want to be more physical, becoming stronger is a great way to do that. Football is about big people moving, smaller people, and sometimes people you just can't grow. So you got to become stronger. You're not going to get taller. You got to get stronger. This emphasis on the weight room for Texas is something that may sound very, very obvious. Of course, every single season Texas is going to go into it and hit the weight room really hard because that's how we've been told you get better at football. It's the point I want to make here. It's not as obvious as you would think it would be, even if it does seem like everyone would, of course put a huge emphasis on the weight room going into the year. Nick Saban said, you really can't practice the way you want to practice when you're not physical and I think it affects your performance in the long run. But Arch came of age last season. He will lead this team. They have a talented team. You know that receiver from Auburn, Cam Coleman, is an outstanding player. I think they'll be better on the offensive line. I think they are making a commitment to being a more physical team. Nick Saban is coming out here and saying exactly what we've been expecting. We can go through this really step by step because we know the way this season goes for the Texas Longhorns. It will go or not go on the back of Arch Manning it all comes down to how much development has he undergone from the end of last season, over the offseason and into the start of this one. Last year Arch Manning came in as the Heisman favorite. He he was expected to be the first overall pick in the 2026 draft. He had a bunch of lofty expectations which almost nobody would be able to live up to and they were quite honestly unfair for anyone to be putting on the back of Arch Manning, even if on that back is the last name Manning, which is a legendary football last name. However, what a lot of people tend to forget is Arch Manning developed over the course of the season. And while the hype went, you know, where's my hand here? Went like this, the development and the overall quarterback play for Arch Manning went the exact opposite. It went in a nice upward trajectory. We saw consistent growth, consistent development week after week after week for Arch Manning over the course of a season. It's good to develop and get better. But when a player gets noticeably better on a weekly basis, that's how you know you have someone special. That's how you know you have someone who is putting in the work behind the scenes, the effort to get better. And that's one of the things that one, makes Arch Manning such a special player. And two, gives myself and Texas Longhorn fans confidence that Arch has continued to work and continued to develop over the course of this offseason. Now, what Nick Saban said exactly was Arch came of age last season, which is exactly what I'm explaining right now. At the end of the year, Arch Manning was a completely different player than what he was in that week one matchup versus the Ohio State Buckeyes. That week one matchup was when the expectations were their highest. So when Arch Manning comes out and has a bunch of inaccurate passes, when he doesn't put up a fantastic completion percentage or a lot of yards, that's when the noise was, of course, the loudest. On top of that, we didn't know that Ohio State was going to close out that year as the number one defense in the entire country. So we, Arch Manning, we knew that Ohio State was going to be fantastic because Ohio State is great every year. But we didn't know that Ohio State's defense was on a different level. We know Sonny Styles was going to be a first round pick. Arvell Reese was going to be a first round pick. We know about Caleb Downs, we know about those other monsters. So there were a ton of reasons why the public perception around Arch Manning has been so unfair. And honestly, the only way for Archmanning to put those naysayers and those doubters to rest is to come out this season and show out and make a huge difference. And this year the Texas Longhorns went out into the transfer portal and got the exact type of guys, the exact type of names that are going to be able to help Arch Manning reach the ceiling that we all know that he can reach. Going back to what Nick Saban said, he said Cam Coleman is an outstanding player. That receiver from Auburn. Let's bring up Cam Coleman's on three profile. This guy is a monster. This is someone that I've been super excited about ever since. It was very early on in his rookie year he was, or I should say freshman year. Very early on in his freshman year he was a freshman the same year as Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams. But the reason why Cam Coleman never got the same type of hype was because one, Auburn was not in the same type of spotlight that Ohio State and Alabama were and two, because Ryan Williams pulled off that generational spin move that completely shocked the world and everyone saw that. And there were people, there were people calling Ryan Williams the best receiver in college football. That was ridiculous. Cam Coleman is right up there. If not, I'm not here to take sides, but I think it's pretty easy to see which side I would take if I was. Cam Coleman is a tremendous one wide receiver and such a big time get for the Texas Longhorns in the transfer portal. We lost Parker Livingston and DeAndre Moore Jr. Out of the transfer portal coming into this year but bringing in Cam Coleman is an amazing, amazing upgrade. Cam Coleman ranked as the number two transfer in the transfer portal according to on three and the number one wide receiver in the transfer portal. His statistics at Auburn were not the most impressive things in the world, but the Tigers really struggled to get a quarterback that was going to be, you know, super good, super productive. They brought in five star Jackson Arnold but unfortunately he was not able to live up to expectations as a five star. He, you know, then transferred, then transferred to unlv so he didn't work out. There were a lot of reasons why it didn't work out for Cam Coleman at Auburn but, but none of those reasons were because he wasn't good at football. There's a reason why this guy is ranked as the number two overall player in the transfer portal. Cam Coleman is an absolute monster and do not forget about him when you talk about that big three of newly NFL draft eligible wide receivers with Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith. Cam Coleman is right in that group fighting to be the number one wide receiver in college football for this upcoming season. He's going to be a game changer. Can't wait to see what Arch Manning is going to be capable of pulling off with Cam Coleman as his wide receiver. 1 But as I hinted to earlier, Texas added multiple players in the transfer portal and this other player that we added. I haven't heard the most hype about him. When the transfer portal happened a lot of people were talking about Hollywood Smothers, but recently, recently he just does not seem to be in the news at all. This is the guy that we can not forget about. If Texas is going to get aggressive running the football, you have to imagine a big time running back transfer needs to be at the forefront of everybody's mind. Hollywood Smothers ranked as the 30th best transfer in the transfer portal and the number three running back in the transfer portal. Hollywood Smothers was a big time get for the Texas Longhorns as well. What he brings to the table is a powerful runner who is going to be able to be extremely productive for the Texas Longhorns as long as our offensive line is able to be just a little bit better than it was last year. The offensive line for Texas in 2025 started incredibly inconsistent and they got better as the season went along. So it's not a coincidence that Arch Manning got better as the offensive lines protection got better because usually those two things go hand in hand. But we have to remember bringing in a top transfer running back like a Hollywood Smothers behind an offensive line that we were hoping is going to be improved from last year. This Texas offense can bring absolute fireworks to the SEC and the entire landscape of college football and it should be unbelievably exciting to watch. We lost Parker Livingston and DeAndre Moore Jr. Out of the transfer portal coming into this year but bringing in Cam Coleman is an amazing, amazing upgrade. Cam Coleman ranked as the number two transfer in the transfer portal according to on three and the number one wide receiver in the transfer portal. His statistics at Auburn were not the most impressive things in the world, but the Tigers really struggled to get a quarterback that was going to be, you know, super good, super productive. They brought in five star Jackson Arnold but unfortunately he was not able to live up to expectations as a five star. He, you know, then transferred, then transferred to unlv so he didn't work out. There were a lot of reasons why it didn't work out for Cam Coleman at Auburn but, but none of those reasons were because he wasn't good at football. There's a reason why this guy is ranked as the number two overall player in the transfer portal. Cam Coleman is an absolute monster and do not forget about him when you talk about that big three of newly NFL draft eligible wide receivers with Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith. Cam Coleman is right in that group fighting to be the number one wide receiver in college football for this upcoming season. He's going to be a game changer. Can't wait to see what Arch Manning is going to be capable of pulling off with Cam Coleman as his wide receiver. 1 But as I hinted to earlier, Texas added multiple players in the transfer portal and this other player that we added. I haven't heard the most hype about him. When the transfer portal happened a lot of people were talking about Hollywood Smothers, but recently, recently he just does not seem to be in the news at all. This is the guy that we can not forget about. If Texas is going to get aggressive running the football, you have to imagine a big time running back transfer needs to be at the forefront of everybody's mind. Hollywood Smothers ranked as the 30th best transfer in the transfer portal and the number three running back in the transfer portal. Hollywood Smothers was a big time get for the Texas Longhorns as well. What he brings to the table is a powerful runner who is going to be able to be extremely productive for the Texas Longhorns as long as our offensive line is able to be just a little bit better than it was last year. The offensive line for Texas in 2025 started incredibly inconsistent and they got better as the season went along. So it's not a coincidence that Arch Manning got better as the offensive lines protection got better because usually those two things go hand in hand. But we have to remember bringing in a top transfer running back like a Hollywood Smothers behind an offensive line that we were hoping is going to be improved from last year. This Texas offense can bring absolute fireworks to the SEC and the entire landscape of college football and it should be unbelievably exciting to watch. And I absolutely lutely cannot wait to see what Steve Sarkeesian has planned for us. That's what I got for this video.
