The 3rd track off the Whimsy EP. ‘Iceland in My Fridge’ provides a vivid dip into the headphone trip, with organic soundscapes of ice cubes swirling in all directions before taking the listeners into the techy terrain. Kindly drop me a message if you would like a copy of the EP for music review or airplay in your blog, radioshow, podcast or any other music-related press. ‘Whimsy’ is out now on Bandcamp >> jeanreiki.bandcamp.com/album/whimsy

This piece is inspired by the headlines, news and general view about China. A dragon gifted with high metabolism and resourcefulness, China is a great nation that the rest of us look up to. Like every country in the world that moves rapidly towards a market-oriented economy, its people have made many positive, remarkable achievements as well as faced a fair share of problems within the society. For this upcoming National Day, I would like to wish all the folks from People's Republic of China good fortune and happiness. —————————————————————————————————————————---------- All the drum, synth, pad sounds and sound effects are either from my Logic 9 or Reaktor. Memory : This piece evokes those moments on the plane when I’ll pull up the shades slowly and look out of the window. It never get old for me to watch a cloud formation, the scenic view of mountain range, coastline, a change in landscape or the sublime colours during sunset or sunrise hours. To give it the airy feel, I designed the synth and pad sounds using Logic's ES E, ES P and used Reaktor's Steampipe 2 for the flute sound. Done in Logic Pro 9. —————————————————————————————————————————---------- More on this 185th Disquiet Junto project (“Summon up a memory, and then summarize it in sound”) at: disquiet.com/2015/07/16/disquiet0185-memorymusic/ More on the Disquiet Junto at: disquiet.com/junto/ This project was proposed by Robert Thomas, more from whom at: dizzybanjo.com/ Join the Disquiet Junto at: soundcloud.com/groups/disquiet-junto/ Disquiet Junto general discussion takes place at: disquiet.com/forums/

Year 2044 in the kitchen of a high rise building...you switch on the RoboWini and attach the little bot onto the windows. Off, it goes cleaning, making minimal hums and trippy noises along the way! Step A: I rolled the dice. Step B: Got myself number 6. Step C: I was messing around with the sound generator, Skrewell in Reaktor. Found an interesting sound and recorded it. Next, I recorded the beep sounds when I pressed the buttons of my washing machine. Transferred the recordings to my Logic Pro and experimented with reverb and delay to the sounds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More on this 123rd Disquiet Junto project — “Help Gizmodo.com record the soundscape of the home of the future” — at: http://disquiet.com/2014/05/08/disquiet0123-homeofthefuture/ More on the Disquiet Junto at: disquiet.com/?p=16588 Join the Disquiet Junto at: soundcloud.com/groups/disquiet-junto/ More on the Gizmodo.com Home of the Future at: homeofthefuture.gizmodo.com/
