There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today. Thank you for joining us. And we're in the middle of a series we've been on for a while now called In Christ. I Can and know this, you have everything in Christ. So we don't want to try to live as one outside of Christ or think or respond as one outside of Christ. But we're learning to draw on the Christ in us and putting him to work for us and through us, because that changes the outcome of everything in our life. Listen, God has a plan for your life, but he never intended for you to fulfill it apart from Him. He filled you with Himself so that you would draw on him and that he could do the work through you. So what does it require for us to be the vessel that he can manifest through, number one, our faith, that we have to agree with His Word, that He is who he says he is. And number two, we have to obey him, because as we obey him, we respond to Him. You know, how we respond to situations determine the outcome. And what we enjoy in life is based on how we respond so much. We have to realize this, that our life is a direct reflection of the Word that we're responding to. If we're responding to Jesus as the healer, then we receive healing. We respond to Jesus, who is our peace, then our life is peaceful. But we have to realize this. The only part of the Word that we will partake of and enjoy is the part we respond to. Now, you think about it, there's the passage that talks about how Eli was the prophet of God's people during the. During the Old Testament is recorded about his life. And when Samuel was a child that his mother brought him to the temple to live there and to serve Eli the prophet. And so one night as they were in bed, Eli was sleeping in one part of the living quarters of the temple, and Samuel was in another part. And when Samuel laid down to go to sleep, he heard his name being called. So he thought Eli was calling him. So he got up, went into Eli's room and said, you called me. And Eli said, no, I didn't call you. So. So he went and laid back down. And that happened two other times. The third time that Samuel came in to Eli, he recognized that the voice of the Lord must be calling Samuel. So he said, when you lay down, if you hear him call you again, say, speak, Lord, for your servant heareth. So notice this, every time Samuel heard his name called, he responded, but he responded wrongly. He went to see Eli instead of turning toward the one he was hearing. But he. He thought, well, he assumed it was a man and Eli was the the only other man in the temple. So he went there, he responded. But as long as he was responding wrongly, God still did not have permission to continue to speak to him. Eli had to teach Samuel the proper response. Because Eli said, when you lay down, if he calls your name again, say, speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. What's that mean? God will not insert himself into our life uninvited. And the Bible says that when Samuel went and laid down the third time and he heard his voice, his name called, he said, he responded, just as Eli said, speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. Now notice when he said that, then it said that God gave him a message, and it also said that he called his name. Look at this. As at other times. So there were other times God had called his name, but he didn't respond at all. So there's no record of God saying anything to him. This time God's calling him, and he responds, but he responds wrongly. But at least because he responded wrong, his response could be directed toward the right response. So Eli then directed a wrong response and told him what a right response looked like. But notice when he didn't respond at all, he didn't receive any instruction about how to respond. So when God is dealing with us, don't fail to respond. And even if you don't quite know the proper response, at least respond in some way so that God can direct you and in what a right response is. I remember years ago in pastoring, I pastored for 25 years in Southern California, and we were having a prayer service one night, and I had taught on prayer, and then I sat down in a chair on the platform, and we were just going to spend some time as a congregation praying together. And while we were praying, I recognized Jesus walked up a side aisle and came and stood by my chair. And I thought, well, I, you know, I recognize that he's there. You say, did you see him? No. I knew it by word of knowledge. I knew when he came in the room, And I recognized I could tell you where he was standing. And he came. Walked up the aisle and stood by my chair. And he just stood there. And I recognized he wasn't saying anything. And I was just sit. I was sitting there waiting for him to say something. Because at first I thought, well, because I know he's here. He'll say something. But then it dawned on me. Wait a minute. Eli told Samuel that even though God was present in that temple that night speaking to Samuel, Samuel still had to invite him to speak. And so notice this. God won't insert himself uninvited because the level of his honor is so great. He will not violate any man's will. And so as Jesus was standing by my chair, and he stood there for a couple of minutes, and I realized he's not saying anything. But he did not come to be silent. He didn't come to not say something. He came to say something. So it dawned on me, Nancy, you haven't even responded to him. Just. Just recognizing that is there is not a proper response. So I said, jesus, I recognize you're here. What is it that you've come to say to me? Well, that night, what he said to me, he said, your husband, when he travels to foreign nations, I want you to go with him from now on. And I had gone a few times with him on trips, but not every time. I didn't know why God said it to me then, because my husband traveled overseas quite regularly, and there were many ministers that he would take with him. A lot of them wanted to go. And so they would go and they would share the services, meaning my husband would preach some, and then they would preach some. And so it. It baffled me a little bit of why Jesus wanted me to go. Because I thought, well, there are so many ministers that go with him, and there's really more ministers that go than services. So not every. Even every minister doesn't really have an opportunity to conduct a service over there because there's so many of them that go. I can't understand why God would have me to go. But I still went. I didn't understand why he said that, but I went with him. And in doing that, I had no idea at that time that my husband one day wouldn't be Here. And so all of those ministers that he had been ministering to and ministering for, when my husband left the earth, I now had a rapport with him as well. And God was able to keep those doors of ministry open. So. But I wanted you to see this is that just because Jesus was standing there doesn't mean I was receiving of what he came to say until I responded. Who you are in Christ is your present possession. But to partake of it, you have to respond to who he made you to be. You have to respond to all that he made yours. So that was a long way of telling it. But really, I'm trying to show you the importance of your response. Because the only part of the Word that will work for us is the part we respond to. The only part of the Word we will enjoy is the part we respond to. The only part of the Word that we will have revelation of is the part that we respond to. We show God we're interested. The Word talks about ask, and you should ask, seek, knock. Right? What's that mean? That means show interest. Show that you're responding to the Word. Because when you ask and when you seek and when you knock, that you'll come into an understanding of what God has wants to say to you and what he wants to show to you of His Word. But we have to realize that all things are ours in Christ. But it requires our interest. We have to seek into these things. We have to study these things. We have to acknowledge that these things are ours because although they are our possession, they won't flow automatically. It calls for our faith. Now it talks about In Proverbs, chapter 4, in verse 20, it says this, My Son, attend to my words. Incline thine ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from before thine eyes. Keep them in the midst of thy heart. Look at this. For they are life unto those that find them. Notice this. You don't seek for something unless you're interested in finding it. God, his. His truths and his revelation. And His Word is so precious that he won't cast it before uninterested people. We are to find, we are to, to ask, to seek to knock on these things that these places of revelation, these rooms of revelation, we want to go into. Because when we show ourselves interested, then God will unfold the preciousness of these revelations to us. But if people aren't interested, he's not going to cast that before someone who's not interested. So this is. It's not enough for you to say, I'm in Christ. Find out. Seek, ask, seek. Knock. What does that mean? Show interest in discovering what he's made yours and who he's made you to be. And as you do that, he will unfold and you will see things. It's not enough to say, well, I go to church. Well, there's a lot of people who go to church, but they're not really making a draw while they're there. They're just going because it's church time. Well, it matters how we attend. It matters how we approach the word. It matters how we approach a sermon. We hear our pastor saying, it matters how we respond to the word that we hear. Because our lives are a picture of the word that we're responding to. When we're responding to the healing word. Healing flows. When we're responding to the prosperity word, it flows. If we're not responding to those, they won't flow. The only part of the word will and joy is the part we're responding to because it calls for our faith and it calls for our obedience for his word to manifest in our lives. Now, we have been talking in previous episodes stating some things that are so important for us to understand is that we have been seated with Christ in heavenly places. And what that means is we have been raised and seated far above all principality, far above all power, all might, all dominion. What's that mean? Those are different degrees or levels of demon powers operating. Well, we've been raised far above them. And I want you to know because we have been raised far above them, Jesus defeated them and was able to raise us up and seat us far above all opposition. Well, we have to realize this. A lot of people live afraid of the devil. But when you understand the revelation of who you are in Christ, who He made you to be, and that he's raised you far above opposition, you realize this demons are afraid of us. Why? Because we are carriers of the anointing of God. We are entrusted with the authority of the name of Jesus. And demons tremble at the name of Jesus. Demons hate the anointing because the anointing destroys the yoke of the devil. I'm telling you that the devil's fear the anointing of God because the Word tells us the yoke shall be destroyed. That's in Isaiah. The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Well, let me ask you this. If there had been some kind of event in your life that destroyed something, did you enjoy that event? Absolutely not. You don't enjoy anything that works destruction in your life. Well, neither does the devil. He doesn't enjoy the destruction that. That the anointing works on his yokes. And so he fears the anointing. He does not want someone to know they're anointed. He does not want them to know how to employ the anointing. And when Jesus stood up in his own hometown, In Luke chapter 4, it talks about how in Luke chapter 4, verse 16, it says that he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day. There was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah for him to read. He found the place where it was written and he started saying and declaring, the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's anointed me. Ah, those words the devil feared. He anointed me. And then he gave the Job description of the anointing. He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. So what's Jesus getting up in that service and saying? He's saying Isaiah prophesied about the anointing coming, and now the anointing is on me. And today this is fulfilled in your hearing. Meaning the time has arrived for the anointing of God to start dominating in this earth. And the devil feared that. And what happened? The devil stirred up that congregation. So they tried to take him to the edge of the cliff outside of town and tried to push him off the cliff. That's how much the devil feared the anointing. And I want you to know, Jesus wasn't afraid of the demon spirits manifesting and influencing those people. The Bible says that he. It says he walked right through the midst of them. What was it? They couldn't touch him. One translation said he disappeared and showed up in another city. Well, however, the escape of it was, Jesus did not fear the devil. The devil fears the anointing. And the anointing is in you. And the devil fears that anointing. And he tries to paint himself as large. He tries to paint himself as great and fearful. But I want you to know we have been raised and seated far above all principality, power, might and dominion. And we do not treat the devil and as though he is something great. He is a defeated foe, and he is a lesser one. And the greater one is on the inside of us. Amen. And we need to renew our minds to that. And we need to emphasize and exercise our authority over him. Now I want us to go to Luke 10 and we're going to start reading in verse 17, Luke 10:17. And I'm going to start with the King James translation and then we'll read a portion of it in the Amplified classic. But Luke 10:17 says, and the 70 returned again with joy. Now what 70 is he talking about? Remember that Jesus told the 12 disciples, he said he gave them power to cast out devils, heal the sick, to really be ambassadors in his behalf. They were to go out and do the exact same thing that he was doing. So the 12 went, now the 70, he got more than the 12 he had. He commissioned 70 of them to go. And so now the 70 returned again with joy, saying, lord, look at this. Even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. What's he talking about? When Satan, his name, his good name was Lucifer, he lost that name. But when he was in heaven and sin was found in him, God cast him out of heaven. And Jesus was saying, I was there and I saw it as quick as lightning flashes from the top of the sky down to the ground. He said, that's how quick Satan was cast down. It did not even take a fraction of a moment for him to be cast out of his place. And he said, I saw him fall. He is a fallen being. And so he said, I saw him fall. And notice, in verse 19, Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power, or the word is authority to tread on serpents and scorpions. Look at this. And over all the power of the enemy. I want you to look at this word tread. When I looked it up just in the dictionary, the word tread means to step over. Now let's read it that way. Behold, I give you power or authority to step over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. What's that mean? Don't step back and enthralled and get fixated on them. Don't pause, step over them. The devil is going to try to put obstacles, hindrances, blockages in your way. And Jesus said, you don't even have to remove them, just step over them and keep going. Because the devil tries to get you impressed with something in your way so that you stop in your progress. But we are authorized to never stop. Keep going. Don't allow any opposition to stop us in our progress. So he said, behold, I give unto you power or authority and to step over serpents and scorpions. Look at this. And over all the power of the enemy. Look at the next phrase. And Nothing shall by any means hurt you. Now we have to qualify that statement. Nothing shall by any means hurt you to those who are stepping over and keeping going. But if you're going to stop, and you're going to stop your progress and you're not going to step over the devil, he could hurt you because he'll hold you in a place where he'll start dominating you instead of you dominating him. And so Christians need to realize people will say, well, nothing shall by any means hurt me. Well, as long as you're treading on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and you're stepping over them, you're not stopping and letting them dictate your actions. You're not letting them gain the ascendancy over you or dominate you. If you let fear dominate you, you let sickness dominate you, you let lack dominate you. It can hurt your life. And you say, well, it says, nothing will hurt me, hurt me that the enemy throws my way. As long. But this is. As long as you're stepping over to the one who steps over, nothing will hurt them. Nothing can hold them back. That's describing you. Just keep going. Don't stop for any opposition that tries to hinder your progress. Now this is something else that Jesus went on in Luke 10. Let's look at the next verse. Verse 20. He said, Notwithstanding in this, rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Now this is what I want you to see about verse 20. Notice when the 20, excuse me, the 70 returned again. Looking at verse 17, it says, the 70 returned again with joy, saying this, Lord, even the devils are subject to us through thy name. What did they come back talking about devils? Jesus corrected them in verse 20. Don't come back talking about devils. Don't make them the centerpiece of your attention. What's this mean? Don't be devil conscious. They aren't worthy of our attention. You can talk about the devil.

You.
Nancy Dufresne
You can talk about what he's done. Talk about what he brought against you. Talk about how he worked in your family. Talk about how he worked in the past. That's wrong conversation because you're setting a defeated foe as a centerpiece of your attention. He's not worthy of your attention. God and God's word are worthy of our attention. So do not magnify the devil. Don't. Don't become devil conscious talking about devils. That's off the word. That's out of balance. Jesus corrected. He Told them I saw him fall. I know all that. You don't have to come back and tell me all that stuff about him. I'm not impressed with him because I saw him fall. You're talking about what he's doing in the earth, but I saw him fall. He is a fallen being. And you can step over that fallen being and kept going. Now don't be talking about that. Talk about that. Your name is written down in heaven. What's that mean? Focus on what God has done for you instead of focusing on what the devil tries to work out against you. Focus on that. All of heaven is yours. Focus on that. You have been translated that the kingdom of God is now your dwelling place. You are a citizen of heaven now. So notice this. He corrected them from being devil conscious to being God conscious. And people need to know that the devil is not worthy of the attention they give him. When you talk about what he's done, when you talk about this tragedy of the past, when you talk about how he's worked against this and worked against that, what you're talking about is what you're magnifying. Do not magnify something. A being that has been cast down, that heaven did not even give any more attention to that he's not welcome in heaven anymore. Don't give that fallen being your attention. And Jesus corrected them in verse 20 because they came back talking about devils instead of talking about the goodness of God that delivered the people, they should have come back talking about the positive side, but they got on the negative side. So know this. Devils are nothing but defeated foes that God has made you master over. And the way you walk as master is you're mindful of the greater one who's on the inside of you, that you are in Christ, Christ is in me. And the devil is even hardly worth mentioning. But most people hold what he does in their full attention. And that's why he continues to work. That many people don't recognize that they are giving the open door to the devil to continue to work in their life and against their life simply because they talk about him all the time. They're mindful of him at dinner time, talking about the problem, talking about this problem, talking about that problem, and have talked about it and rehashed it over and over and over and over again. And that's why the devil keeps working. Because where he can get attention, he can get movement. And so God's, God's movement, God's word, what God's doing in our life is worthy of the attention. Don't magnify the wrong one. And I would say this, don't magnify anything that's not big enough to deliver you. Greater is he that's on the inside of you. Don't talk about something that's opposed you just talk about that in Christ everything belongs to me. In Christ, no weapon that's formed against me will prosper. Just stay on the positive side of the of the Word. Because in Christ all good things belong to you. Amen. So we we are authorized to be God inside minded. We are authorized to be mindful that the anointing is in me. Christ is in me and I am a joint heir with him and everything that belongs to him belongs to me. And that's what I'm going to talk about. I'm not going to talk about what's against me. I'm going to talk about who's for me and who's in me. Because greater is he that's in me than he that's against me. So I'm not going to talk about the lesser one. I'm going to magnify the greater one. Amen. Well, we invite you that if you have not been able to watch all the episodes in this series, go back and watch any that you may have missed. And I say this to you is that if one of them particularly spoke to you in a way that brought great light to you, go back and listen to it over and over again. Because that's one way of meditating on the Word. And we're going to keep going this direction. But until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode 884 | In Christ I Can, Part 124
Date: November 20, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
This episode of "In Christ I Can" continues Nancy Dufresne’s deep exploration into the believer’s identity in Christ, specifically focusing on the vital importance of response—how we respond to God’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and challenges in life. Nancy underscores that our experiences and outcomes as Christians hinge on faith-filled, obedient responses to the Word of God and on being God-conscious rather than devil-conscious. She weaves biblical narratives, personal anecdotes, and practical instructions, emphasizing authority over the enemy and the necessity of focusing on what’s ours in Christ.
Nancy reminds believers they already have everything they need in Christ and must act as people in Him—not outside of Him.
God’s plan involves us drawing on His life within us; He moves through us as vessels when we respond in faith and obedience.
Two key requirements:
Nancy retells the story of Samuel’s calling in the temple and how Eli taught Samuel to properly respond to God’s voice (1 Samuel 3).
Even a wrong response is better than no response; God can direct a wrong response towards a right one, but there’s no guidance when there’s no response.
Nancy shares an experience where she sensed Jesus’ presence in a prayer meeting but initially failed to respond.
Upon realizing this, she verbally acknowledged His presence and asked for direction, which released Jesus’ message to her.
Quote: “Just recognizing that he's there is not a proper response. So I said, ‘Jesus, I recognize you're here. What is it that you've come to say to me?’” (11:24)
Her act of response led to divine direction for her ministry—revealing the practical fruit of the right response.
You only enjoy, partake of, and receive the revelation of the parts of God’s Word you respond to.
Active interest is required: “Ask, seek, knock”—show hunger and engagement for what God’s made yours in Christ.
Proverbs 4:20-22 highlights the necessity of finding God’s Word—He reveals His precious truths to those who earnestly seek them.
Believers are seated with Christ far above all demonic power (Ephesians 2:6).
Most Christians fear the devil, but demons actually fear believers because of the anointing and Christ’s authority in them.
“In Christ, all good things belong to you. Amen.” (26:44)
