There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now. From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet.
Welcome. We're so glad to have you joining us today on Jesus the Healer. And we are continuing in the series called In Christ. I can and know this, that everything that you need to fulfill the plan of God for your life, God has already fully supplied that. And where did he put that supply? In Christ. And then he put Christ in you and you in Christ. So we're discovering together how to spend and draw on the greater one that's on the inside of us. Listen, because we're in Christ, there is no need for us to live as though we're outside of Christ. What is in Christ? Everything good. If you can call it good, then you know that it's in Christ. Remember what John 10:10. Jesus made this statement and he said, the thief cometh not but for to steal, to kill and to destroy. But I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. Now notice Jesus came to give us a different flow. The flow that's in the world is one that steals, kills and destroys, because Satan is the author of that. But the flow that heaven has brought us into is a flow of life. And with that life we are to have it in an abundant measure. When Jesus made this statement, this is the first time that the earth ever heard words like this. This is the first time that man ever heard this description of how the kingdom of darkness operates and how what God's kingdom brings to us. Satan's kingdom brings everything that steals, kills and destroys. But God's kingdom brings everything that's life. And he wants us to have an abundant flow of that life. Because under the Old Testament, many times, if you will read the way things are written by the Old Testament writers, sometimes it's portrayed as though God is the author of everything that comes. And why is that true? Because they did not have revelation of the devil. Yet why didn't God give them revelation? Because they didn't have the authority yet to deal with him. It was till Jesus defeated Satan. And notice what he did? He came back out of hell and he told the church, he told the disciples. He said, I have the keys of hell and death. So what is that? He took back our authority. When did we lose our authority? Adam lost it. And so we got the authority back to rule and reign on this earth and to rule and reign over Satan's kingdom that we do not have to accept what the flow of this world tries to bring into our life. Do you know that when Adam. When Adam he sinned and turned over his authority to Satan? Do you know this? Jesus not only came and got the authority back, he gave us back our saying. And so when we say, that's how we employ the authority that is ours. And that's how we release the faith that's in our heart. Know this. Faith comes by hearing. But faith is not released by hearing. When you need a miracle from God, we need to, yes, hear the Word, fill up our hearts with that word that holds our victory. But just hearing the Word will not cause us to become a partaker. Hearing the Word causes us to become an intelligent victor in the sense of this. We find out what belongs to us. But it's when we speak, speak the word. Faith comes by hearing. But that faith has to be released to benefit from the faith we have. You'll remember that there was a crippled man in the city of Lystra. And it said that he was listening to Paul preach. And as Paul was preaching, it says he perceived that the man had faith to be healed. Now this is a man who had never walked. So you can imagine what his limbs look like. They had no tone to them. They would not have had any kind of development in them. His legs looked like he couldn't walk. But Paul, when he was preaching, he perceived there's faith in this man. Where can. How did he perceive that? You can see it on the face of people. You know, I've looked at people and I've seen fear on the face of people. But you can also see faith on the face of people. But it wasn't just what Paul saw. Naturally, it says he perceived that was a spiritual thing. He perceived that this man had faith. So notice he had faith to be healed is what the Word says. But he's still sitting there crippled. Why? It's not enough to have faith. You have to do something to release that faith. And Paul helped this man instructed this man how to release the faith that he had. Although he had faith, he's still sitting there crippled. You can have faith and still sit with unpaid bills. You can have faith and still sit with a body that's not healed. You can have faith and still not be receiving the answer for your life. You have to take not only the faith you have, but you have to release the faith to benefit from it. Now how do you release your faith? Through what you say and through what you do. Faith comes by hearing, but it's released through words and it's released through actions. Now we know this faith comes by hearing, but it operates by love and it's released by speaking. It's released through our actions. So it's not enough to just sit and hear the word over and over and over and over. Yes, we should, but we shouldn't stop with that because faith is comes. But faith that has come has to be employed, it has to be spent, it has to be released. And that only happens through words. Now people try to release their faith many times and they find it non operational, they release it and nothing, the answer doesn't show up. What is it? It's not operating right. Why? It only operates by love. So if our love walk is out of place, then we go to release our faith. And it doesn't operate rightly because it comes. Faith comes by hearing, it operates by love and it's released through what we say and through what we do. So we have to have all those components in place. Now I want us to look at Philemon chapter one. There's only one chapter in Philemon, but verse six. I want you to see what, what is written in there. Philemon 1, verse 6, and this is the King James translation. It says this, that the communication of thy faith. Look at this. Faith has to be communicated. It's not enough that you're a possessor of it. Faith has to be communicated or faith has to be released. Faith has to be employed that the communication of thy faith. Look at this. Don't communicate fear, communicate faith. Don't communicate difficulties, communicate faith. So it says that the communication of thy faith may become effectual. Notice our faith needs to come into and have an effect. Your faith will affect something. Your faith will cause a result to happen, a change to happen. That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you, in Christ Jesus. Now remember what we said. John 10, verse 10. Jesus said, the thief comes not but for to steal, kill and destroy. But I have Come that you might have life. And we could say this, that you might have every good thing. That's what Philemon says, every good thing. You don't have to be a student of the word for a long time before you can judge, is this good or bad for my life? Is this blessing my life or injuring my life? Is this adding to my life or is it stealing something out of my life? Somebody can get saved just moments ago and they can easily discern if something is good or bad. Do you know that if you'll discern that, you already have a foot forward on knowing, is this God or the devil operating? I remember that when I, I got saved when I was 19 years old, I was going down the road in my car and I could recognize that the Spirit of God was dealing with me. For about six months he had been dealing with me in such a strong way. And finally that one day as I drove down the road in the car, I received Jesus into my heart. When I did that, I mean, you know what that's like. The burden of sin gone. You can sense the nearness of God. You can sense his presence. Why? Because now he came in us to dwell at that new birth. And his power presence is so evident. And it was like days of heaven for me those first few days after the new birth. But one, about three or four days into it, there came a thought against my mind and it said, you can't be saved because you've committed the unpardonable sin. Well, my gosh, I didn't even know what the unpardonable sin is to commit it. But what was it? Because I didn't know what that was. When I was accused of that, I did not know to resist that because I didn't even, I didn't have the knowledge of how to resist it. And so I remember when that thought came. And then I started considering that thought. I thought, did I commit the unpardonable sin? What is the unpardonable sin? Well, let me, let me tell you this. Don't ever be afraid you've committed the unpardonable sin. Because if you ever want God, you've not committed the unpardonable sin. So someone who commits the unpardonable sin, they have rejected God. They don't want to have anything to do with God. And I'm not talking about someone just backslidden. There's so much more to that. You have to have had.
A knowing, a knowledge of God and moved with God and to make a conscious effort. No, no, young Believer has ever committed the unpardonable sin. I mean, you don't. Don't even fall into that, because the devil will use people's lack of knowledge and to trouble them with some kind of accusation like that. But I remember when that thought came to me, I've committed the unpardon. You've committed the unpardonable sin. And because I didn't even know what that was, I didn't know how to answer it. And I just remembered the joy was gone, the peace was gone. There was a troubling that started happening against my mind, and I just turned to God. Well, I tried to, if I could say this, run from that thought. You know what I mean by that? I tried to suppress it. I tried to act like it wasn't there, but the joy of my salvation was no longer perceivable. And I remember about a day and a half after that came, and it had tried to trouble my mind, and I just turned to God and I said, God, I don't even know what this is. Did I commit the unpardonable sin? And the moment I said that, God said to me, that's the devil. I mean, just as clear he said that. And I go, oh, I see. When you're a young believer, you don't know that the devil manifests as wrong thinking. You don't know that that's how he tries to attach himself to us, is through wrong thinking. But God was showing me wrong thoughts are the devil. That's what I want you to see, that anything that troubles you, anything that troubles the mind is the devil. If it's. If it's peaceful to the mind, if it's peaceful to your heart, then know that that wasn't authored by the devil. So the enemy comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. And Brother Copeland has taught us so much that. What's the first thing the devil is trying to steal from you? He's trying to steal the word out of your heart. But if the word is stolen out of our heart, you know what else is stolen? Our peace, our joy. Because everything good is authored by the Word. And so when I began that young believer, I began to acknowledge that thought that came against my mind. You have committed the unpardonable sin. When I began to acknowledge that, turn it over in my mind, think about it, it troubled me. But when God spoke to me and said, that's the devil. In other words, resist the thought, and you're resisting the devil. Any thought that troubles you, resist it. How do you resist it? Say that's not my thought. Even if you don't know a scripture that answers that, you can say, that's not my thought. That that's one way of resisting. Sometimes you may know an exact specific scripture to resist with, but if you don't know one, just say, that's not my thought. That's the thought of the thief. You're not stealing my peace, you're not stealing my joy. And when you answer that, he will flee. And I want you to know in a moment, that thought no longer troubled me. Why? Because I quit acknowledging it when I knew it wasn't God. If you know something is not good, don't acknowledge it with your attention. Now, see, people don't realize this peace is lost when our attention goes to the wrong thing. Our faith is injured when our attention goes to the wrong thing. So as in Christ, we are authorized to only hold our attention on that which is good. If it's not peaceful, if it's not joyful, if it doesn't, bless your life. You're authorized to never touch it. In your thought life, acknowledge only that which flows from your Father. Acknowledge only that which comes out of the household of faith. Because when you acknowledge what comes from God, then you become a partaker of what he made yours. But if we acknowledge the wrong thing, we begin to partake of the wrong thing. And the wrong thing troubles our life. One of the most important verses that you need to understand is Proverbs, chapter 4, verse 20. It says, My son, attend to my words. Look at this. Attend to my words. When I see this word attend, I always think of the word attention. Because what our attention is on is what we're attending to. So it says, my son, attend to my words. What? Just let us know. There's going to be other words you're going to hear. The devil's going to suggest thoughts. Circumstances will suggest thoughts. And if you don't know how to attend to God's words, what you're going to do is you're going to end up taking the wrong words. And what you're meditating on, what you're turning over and over in your thought life, is what you're attending to. For us to live successful in Christ, we have to discipline our attention. What are we allowing to turn over and over in our thought life? Now you think of this. The Bible tells us in the In Hebrews, chapter one, it says that Jesus was anointed with the oil of gladness above his brethren. Look at this. Jesus did not live under the awareness or the burden or the weightiness of the price he was going to pay. He knew that he would be the sacrifice for humanity. He knew that he was going to pay a debt he didn't owe on behalf of mankind. But know this, he did not live under the weight of that. He wore that lightly. It did not trouble him. How come? Knowing that he was going to suffer as the sacrifice for humanity, how did that not trouble him? The weight of that? Because of what his attention was on. He did not have his attention on the price he would pay, but he held his attention on. On what was going to be the harvest, on the price he would pay. What was his. What was. What was he focused on? No doubt that he would bring many sons to glory. And so we have to recognize that no matter what our responsibilities are in life, we are to wear it lightly.
We had in our family, there was a more distant relative that was in an accident and they died as a result of that accident. One of my family members, one of my family members was saying to God, said, God, I hate that the outcome or the ending of their life was through this accident. And God spoke to them and said, if you're going to focus on the ending of their life, you're going to miss what their entire life was about. What's he saying? Don't get your attention on something that would rob from you of the greater thing. The greater thing is they were born again, they were a minister of the gospel, they lived for God, they were a blessing to their family. And if you're just going to focus on one moment, that's what Jesus did. He didn't focus on the moments that he would suffer, but he focused on the greatness of the plan of God. Now it's so important that if you're going to live as full of a life as in Christ as he authored for us, your attention has to be on the right thing. Are there going to come circumstances against your life? Yes, there are. But if you're going to focus on that, they're going to rob from you the fullness of what belongs to you in Christ. So to live as one in Christ, to live peaceful, we have to have our attention, the right thing. And I tell you this, you have to learn that discipline. You have to discipline your thought life. I remember growing up as a little girl, and if I would say something out loud to Mother, maybe something that was troubling me or something I was struggling with, she'd say, get your mind off that. I mean, she was very direct with us. Get your mind off that and she let us know that we were the custodians of our thought life. That the devil cannot make you think on something just because he suggests something. And even if a thought strikes like a fiery dart. We understood growing up we were in charge of what we thought on. And thank God my mother, she did not like unnecessary drama. She did not like us responding in a dramatic way. And I mean, she took total charge of how we responded to something because we get in trouble if we responded wrong. I so appreciate that she put that discipline in us because it helps us in our spiritual disciplines that people have. People don't even really know that they are responsible for what they entertain in their thought life. People think many times that just because the thought comes that they're to cope with it. When we're not to cope with something that didn't come from the household of faith, if it didn't come from our Father, we have no business even touching into it in our thought life. And I don't care what kind of pressure the devil would bring with a thought that is recurring and repetition and may come like machine gun bullets trying to add pressure. We. We refuse. And you answer, that's not my thought and I won't take it. That's not my thought and I won't take it. And we turn our attention toward what God would say. And if I could say this, if you'll turn your attention toward God through worship, through praise, what happens? Worship brings the anointing of God. And it's the anointing that will break the yoke of that threat off of your mind. But you cannot just let your mind go anywhere it wants to in Christ. You have a sound mind. I want you to know that. That's part of our inheritance in Christ. Remember what Paul wrote to Timothy and he said, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a power love. Look at this. And a sound mind, if it came from God, it's part of our inheritance. An unsound mind is not yours. An unsound mind. Look, an unsound mind will be forgetful. An unsound mind will have memory issues, but a sound mind won't. And so you are to answer that. That unsoundness, that's not what belongs to me. I will not have it. Because in Christ my inheritance includes a sound mind. But a sound mind can't just touch in anything it wants and think. It's going to remain in the flow of soundness. You have to discipline that thought life. Any thought that doesn't arrive you at peace and joy, you resist it because in Christ peace and joy is the flow of your daily life. Let's go back again to Proverbs chapter 4. In verse 20.
The writer of this proverb said, my son, attend to my words. That is a full time job. Because you're always thinking about something. Make sure your attention is on something good, something right, instead of what's trying to come against you. My son, attend to my words. And then he's going to tell us how to attend to his words. Number one, incline your ear unto my sayings. That means discipline what you're listening to. Discipline what you're allowing to come into your, into your thought life through what you're listening to. You know, I was talking to someone recently and they had been facing some physical challenges and there was somebody close to them that would make the statement, oh, I know somebody that had that same situation. They died. I said to that person, I said, when they start talking that you stop them. You do not. You let them know. That doesn't help me in my believing God. Don't, don't tell me those things. But if you have to, and you can't if they don't govern their mouth, just make sure you're not around them. Because when you're believing God for a miracle, you can't just let any old thing set up a atmosphere around you. You have to take charge of your atmosphere. Why? Because you have to incline your ear to what God says. Again, Proverbs chapter 4, verse 20. It says this, my son, attend to my words. And the way you're going to do it, number one, you're going to incline your ear to what God says. What's that mean? You're going to turn your ear away from anything that didn't come from God, and you're going to turn it toward what God says. And it's not just the outer ear, it's the ear of your spirit. But it does matter what you're hearing people say around you. Can I tell you this? Sometimes to receive God's best, you, you have to distance yourself from people who don't know what to say around you. It's not, we don't have to be rude, we don't have to be unkind. And we don't correct them in a way that's offensive to them. But sometimes we have to put distance for a period of time between us and somebody who doesn't know what to say when we're believing God for a miracle. So to attend to his words, number one, we incline our ear to his sayings. Again, if you'll put that on the screen for me, my son, attend to my words. Incline thine ear unto my sayings. That's the first thing we're going to do to put our attention on. Look at the next phrase. It says this. Let his words not depart from mine eyes. What's this mean? I refuse to look any direction except what God is showing me. I refuse to entertain any other scenery or view other than what God's showing me. The devil will try to parade all the situations where people failed to receive from God in front of you. I will you start parading the testimonies of what God has done for you. Don't let something wrong occupy your eyes. You decide what's going to be in front of your eyes in the sense of what you're going to look at, what you're going to focus on. And then so number one, we incline our ear to his sayings. Number two, we don't let what he says depart from our eyes. We keep that in front of us. And number three, we keep his words in the midst of our heart. Because what we're listening to, what we're focusing on is going to end up in our hearts if we are focusing on the wrong thing. If we're listening to the wrong thing, the wrong thing will sit up in our hearts. And so it is up to us to guard our hearts with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life. So in Christ he will say the right words to you. In Christ he will show you the right view. And in Christ you refuse to take in anything that would trouble your hearing, trouble what you're seeing so that you can be attending to his words. Because his words bring you into the highest flow and the best that God has for you. Well, we're so grateful that you're taking the time to join us in these episodes. And if there's any previous episodes in this series that you've missed, we encourage you go back and watch them, listen to them because they'll bless your life. And join us next time because we're going to keep going this direction. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

You could I want you to know that every single person in this world needs a Savior. And the greatest thing of all is that we have one. But this Savior must be welcomed. This Savior must be received. And it's so easy to receive Jesus as the Savior. The Word says that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. So right now do that with me. Say, Jesus, I receive you as my Savior. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life, and I'll live for you all the days of my life. God bless you.

Host: Nancy Dufresne
In this episode of "Jesus the Healer," Nancy Dufresne continues her in-depth teaching on living "In Christ"—focusing particularly on understanding the believer's authority, the importance of releasing faith, renewing the mind, and maintaining attention on God’s promises. Drawing from Scripture and personal stories, Nancy explains how believers can walk in the fullness of what Jesus provided, control their thought life, and experience the abundant life Christ promised.
“Say, I receive that power. I receive it right now. From the top of my head to the soles of my feet.” (00:38, Nancy Dufresne)
“When we say, that's how we employ the authority that is ours. That's how we release the faith that's in our heart.” (04:03)
“Faith comes by hearing, it operates by love, and it's released through what we say and what we do.” (08:04)
“Don't communicate fear, communicate faith. Don’t communicate difficulties, communicate faith.” (08:48)
“Don’t ever be afraid you’ve committed the unpardonable sin. Because if you ever want God, you’ve not committed the unpardonable sin.” (11:01)
“Any thought that troubles you, resist it. How do you resist it? Say, ‘That’s not my thought.’” (13:55)
On Authority:
“He [Jesus] gave us back our saying. So when we say, that's how we employ the authority that is ours.” (04:00)
On Releasing Faith:
“Faith comes by hearing. But that faith has to be released to benefit from the faith we have.” (05:12)
On the Enemy’s Tactics:
“Anything that troubles you, anything that troubles the mind is the devil... If it's peaceful to your heart, then know that that wasn't authored by the devil.” (13:10)
Practical Resistance:
“Say, ‘That's not my thought. That's the thought of the thief. You're not stealing my peace, you're not stealing my joy.’” (14:01)
On Discipline:
“You are responsible for what you entertain in your thought life. People think just because a thought comes, they're to cope with it. We're not to cope with something that didn't come from the household of faith.” (19:55)
On Focus:
“If you're going to focus on the ending of their life, you're going to miss what their entire life was about.” (18:03, God speaking to Nancy's family member)
In Christ, a Sound Mind:
“In Christ, my inheritance includes a sound mind. But a sound mind can't just touch in anything it wants and think it's going to remain in the flow of soundness. You have to discipline that thought life.” (21:53)
Nancy urges listeners to revisit previous episodes for more insight and emphasizes the life-changing potential of giving continual attention to God’s Word. She closes with a reminder:
“Jesus is the healer. God bless you.” (26:54)
This detailed summary reflects Nancy Dufresne’s original language and tone, providing an accessible guide to the episode’s key spiritual concepts and practical applications for believers seeking to live in the fullness of Christ.
