There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. And we are continuing in our series In Christ I Can. And we've been looking at Galatians, chapter 2 and verse, verse 20. It's something Paul wrote. And he said, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live. So what's he doing? He's living as one who's mindful that his old life, the old man, has been crucified. So now that frees him up to live a whole new life. The Word tells us that we are new creatures in Christ. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. What's that mean? That Jesus wiped the slate clean and gave us a brand new start. It exists. It's as if the previous life did not even exist. And how many of you know that when the devil, he wants to threaten us, he wants to accuse us, he goes back to our life outside of Christ. Because that's where failure was. That's where defeat was. That's where bondages and weaknesses and addictions lived, was outside of Christ. How many of you know in Christ there is no weakness, there's no bondage, there's no sickness, there's no addiction, there is no symptoms, there's no lack, there's no pain in Christ. All of that is outside of Christ. But we're to see ourselves as ones in Christ. And so because of that, when pain comes, we say, no, you don't. Because in Christ, pain cannot be. Outside of Christ is where pain or symptoms or lack or unpaid bills or troubling fear, depression and anxious mind is outside of Christ. It's not in Christ. And we are to say, because I'm crucified with Christ, that which depicted the old man shall not live with me anymore. Because I got a brand new start. And so whenever we're answering opposition. We're answering from who we are in Christ, not who we were before him. And I love something. A friend of mine who's a precious minister, he was ministering to a woman who was dealing with some physical conditions. And I liked what he said to her. He laid hands on her and ministered to her. And then he said, sister, I want you to get up tomorrow and expect no symptoms. I want you to not be anticipating pains that you're familiar with. You know, if we just get used to certain things, we're expecting them. But what we expect is what our faith is on. So we need to recognize this. I'm in Christ and I expect no pain. I'm in Christ and I expect no unpaid bills. In Christ, I expect wisdom, I need. And so we're to change our expectation. If we find ourselves thinking as one outside of Christ, we are to think of ourselves as in Christ. And not only that, we're to answer opposition and circumstances as one in Christ. Because when symptoms try to attach themselves to us, what we're to say is, I'm in Christ, and in Christ, there's no symptoms. And I'm not taking those symptoms because I'm not going to step outside of Christ to participate in the flow of symptoms and sickness and pain. And that's not to push you down. That's to give you the right answer in the face of those. Those situations. I'm not trying to point to someone who maybe they say, well, Pastor Nancy, I'm dealing with pain. Does that mean I'm outside of Christ? No, you're in Christ and symptoms are trying to violate your place in Christ by trying to steal and rob your health from you. I know. I remember something that the Spirit of God said to me years ago. I had gone through a season of testing and temptation. And after. After a period of time, I got on the other side of that. And one day I was sitting at the office at the ministry, and one night the Spirit of God said to me, just because you can still see the Egyptians doesn't mean you're back in Egypt. Well, I knew what he was talking about. When God delivered the Hebrews out of Egypt, they were no longer slaves. And anything that was connected to Egypt was. Was not their life anymore. They were not to identify with anything of Egypt because now they were outside of Egypt. But although God had delivered them from Egypt, and God led them on the journey out of Egypt, and the place he led them to was the Red Sea. Now, it's an interesting thing that God would lead them to the Red sea because it looked like an impasse. There's a sea in front of them. There's. There's mountain ranges on the left, mountain ranges on the right. And as they're at the Red Sea, what's coming up behind them is a mad Egyptian army with dead firstborn. And they're coming back to take either the people back into slavery. But also, they walked out with the wealth of Egypt. Maybe they're coming back to get that silver and gold back too, and try to bring them back into slavery. But now I want you to know the Hebrews could still see them coming after them. But you want to know what? They were already out of Egypt. They were already out of slavery. And what was it their old enemy tried to follow them into their freedom. I want you to know that's how the devil works. He doesn't want you to see yourself as free, but you've already been made free. When. When Jesus, he. He died on the cross. You died there. You are crucified with him, buried with him, raised with him, seated with him. And when symptoms and conditions of the old man try to show back up, say, no, you don't. I'm in a new life now. And I'm not going to be followed into my land of freedom by something that used to hold me in slavery and hold me in bondage. And so God not only delivered them out of Egypt, but he sealed the enemy's defeat. Because whenever God parted that red sea and God's people went across that red sea, and then when the enemy tried to do the same thing, what was a delivering place for God's people became the burial place for the devil's people. And so we see this, that if you will stand up and enforce your victory, those things that troubled you in the past cannot live with you in your new life. And so God had said to me, he said, just because you can still see the Egyptians does not mean you're back in Egypt. So what. What he's saying is, don't think, oh, now I'm. I'm back in this sickness. No, you're not back in sickness because you're. You're the healed now. And symptoms try to lie. Disease tries to lie to you and tell you that you are again the slave to sickness and disease. And you're not. And you have to know something. You have to say, I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness. I'm translated into the kingdom of his dear son. And in his dear. In his kingdom, there's no Sickness, there's no disease. So I say that these symptoms aren't mine. I refuse to accept them. And the devil will try to hold symptoms on us, to try to dupe us and deceive us into thinking that they're ours when they're really his. When we know the right answer, then we know how to stand in the face of opposition. And so we see this, that Paul stood up and he said, I am crucified with Christ. So when symptoms come back, say, no, you don't. I've been crucified with Christ. And not only does that free me from sin, that frees me from the power of sickness and disease. And we have to talk as ones that are free. So Paul said, I am crucified with Christ. This is Galatians 2, verse 20. And he said, nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. Or could we not say this? Christ lives through me. Christ manifests through me. Christ ministers to others through me. So now it's not us getting our way in life, it's him getting his way through us. So we were crucified with Christ so that he could be the life of the. Of the life that we now live, so that he could be the force and the power and the one manifesting through our lives. And Paul went on and said, in the life which I now live in the flesh, or while I'm in this world, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. So we stand in faith when we recognize that we have been raised to a new life. And Calvary was the place where that divine transaction took place. And Jesus was inhaled defeating Satan and made a show of them, demonstrating their utter defeat as he paraded them in that processional of his victory and their defeat. But we have to know this. It is up to us to practice our victory. Every day we were raised and seated with Christ. That's a. That's a position of ruling and reigning over that which tried to defeat us in the past. But now we. We have been made master of Satan. And we are to, if I could say this, demonstrate mastery every single day. Practice releasing your faith. Practice your authority that anything that challenges your authority, you tell it. No. You know, that's one thing that makes for a safe and a sound home is when parents are exercising their parental authority. Every day when we do that, our children are held safe. When we. We exercise that parental authority and children try to get out of line, we say, no, you don't. And have you ever noticed Once you correct them once, that. That doesn't endure for the rest of their life. It's like, especially while they're younger, that every single day you're telling them the same thing over and over and over. The more consistent we are with the use of our parental authority, the easier life is because those children begin to fall in line with that. That authority. But it's when we're inconsistent that children, if I could say this, start trying to break the boundaries. They try to go into places and do things that they're not supposed to be doing. Well, it's the same thing with the devil. When he knows that we lay down to him, he'll keep trying to cross the line in our lives. He'll keep trying to overstep and take more and more. And more. So that's why we have to. Every day, every time he tries to overstep, we say, no, you don't. I'm not. I'm not. Sin's not lording it over me anymore. It has no more dominion over me. Those things that were part of my past, they're not part of my present because I have been redeemed from those things. And you have to every day resist that which tries to violate your victory. You're not trying to win your victory. You're enforcing your victory. And so we have to realize we are not part of a warring army. We're part of an occupying army. Jesus won the victory. And I am not fighting for. For a place. I am fighting from a place of victory. I'm not fighting for victory. I'm fighting from my place of victory. We move when we understand this. We move from pleading to reigning. We're not pleading with God to do something for us. We're not pleading with the devil to leave us alone. But we're ruling and reigning over situations. We're not begging for God to do something. We're declaring our victory in the face of opposition. Listen, the Bible says that we're to fight the good fight of faith. That is not to fight the fight of sin, that is not to fight the fight of sickness and disease. We're not fighting the battle of worry. We. That's the wrong fight. The only fight that the Christian is to ever be engaged in is the good fight of faith. And if we're trying to fight against sin, we're in the wrong fight. If we're trying to fight against fear, we're in the wrong fight. If we're trying to fight against sickness and disease and poverty, we're in the wrong Fight. We're not to fight those things. Jesus already defeated those things and we're no match for those things. Apart from Jesus, we. He won the victory for us. And then he says, now all you have to do is enforce that victory. So we are fighting the good fight of faith. What is the good fight of faith? It is a spiritual warfare that we fight. And that's to refuse to be swayed by off of the truth of God's word. It's not to try to gain victory. It's to say, I already have the victory. And I refuse to be swayed by circumstances, by symptoms, by feelings, by the mental arena, by anything that any accusations that the devil throws at me. I will not be swayed, thinking I've got to get the victory. I've already got the victory and I am here to see and enforce that victory. If we don't speak it and enforce it, there is no one else that can do it in our behalf. Jesus already gave us the victory, but it's up to us to enforce that victory. Have you ever noticed that in any land there are certain laws that govern that land? And if I just speak about the United States, where we're at, they put laws on the law books of our nation. And different states have their own laws. But just because it's recorded on a law book doesn't mean that society is living by those laws. So what do they have in place? They have judges, they have police officers, they have all these authority figures to make certain that what is recorded on the law books is enforced in society. Well, I want you to know that on the law books of heaven, you have been, you have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness, translated into the kingdom of his dear son. Sin shall not lord it over you. Sin shall not be your master. You have been made master, but you're the law enforcement officer of your life. It's up to you to enforce the victory that Jesus made yours. Now if there are communities where law enforcement officers don't show up, you know what happens in that community? Lawlessness starts happening in that certain community. So when there's a lot of crime or, or a lot of things that are happening in that society, to break down society, many times they'll send extra law enforcement officers in there to put things back in order. If we don't show up with our authority, things try to get out of order in our life. But we have to realize that God has made us the law enforcement officers of our own life. We are the custodians of our bodies, of our homes, of Our finances. Now, God's the provider. He's the healer. He, Jesus, has won the victory for us, but it's up to us to enforce that. As I said, in a society, the society does not automatically live by the laws that are on the books. You have to have positions in place to enforce those laws. Well, you're the law enforcement officer in your own life. And if you don't enforce it, no one else can enforce it for you. And so this is why I say every day, exercise yourself in faith and authority. When something tries to get out of order, say, no, you don't. And you say, pastor Nancy, that's just tiring. No, it's not. You know what's tiring is getting pushed around by the devil. That's what's tiring. You know what's tiring is cleaning up the debt. The mess the devil tries to make in our life. That gets old. But when something tries to get out of order, it's so easy to say, no, you don't. I command that Satan. You take your hands off that situation. That's not hard to do. Listen, we're enforcing something every day. And sometimes just by not enforcing something, the wrong thing will be enforced in our life. Something is getting dominion. It might as well be us, might as well not be the devil. And you know, in a home, something, somebody's getting their way, it should be either the parent but not the child. And if the parent doesn't take their authority, you know what will happen? The child will pick up that authority and start pushing that home around. Well, the devil will do the same thing. If you're not the law enforcement officer that you ought to be in your own life, the devil will take advantage of that. And so we have to. We. The spiritual warfare we're after is to stay in the place of victory and not be swayed. So simply because circumstances or outward things are pushing on us, knowledge of what Jesus won for us puts us in a place of rest. Now notice that when we have knowledge of what Jesus already did for us, then that causes us to rest and recline on our victory. That doesn't mean we're inactive. It means that we're resting knowing that he did it. And from a place of rest we're enforcing the Word not from a place of trying, but from a place of rest. We exercise our authority not from a place of warring against the devil. I'm not called to war against the devil. Why? He's already been defeated. Why would I want to war against a defeated foe? We're not warring against the devil. We are resting on the. On our victory that belongs to us, and we refuse to be so swayed. Now, the Bible says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, might, and dominion. Have you ever noticed in a wrestling match when it says wrestle, it's not talking about a fight. When it's talking about wrestling, there's a circle on a mat, and you see two wrestlers, and one is trying to. If I could say this, they're trying to push one out of that circle or hold them down to the mat so they can't move. So what are they doing? What are we doing? Whenever we say that we're wrestling against principalities and powers, that means we're refusing to be swayed off of our victory ground. There's that circle of victory, and we're staying within it. And we're not going to let something hold us down to the mat that we have victory over. So symptoms will not lord it over us. Lack will not lord it over us. So to wrestle does not mean to fight. It means to be unmovable. It means to be unswayed by opposition that comes against the mind, against opposition that the accuser throws at us. Listen, Jesus made the statement. He said, behold, I give you power, or I give you authority to tread on serpents and over scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. So we see this, that this word tread on means to step over and keep going. So he says, when the devil shows up, when opposition shows up, I authorize you to step over that and keep going. What does that mean? It's not going to stop me and get my attention and stop my progress. So many people are waiting for the devil to leave him alone. He's not going to leave you alone. Just ignore him and keep going. Step over him because you know that he has no dominion over you. I love something that Kathryn Kuhlman used to say. She was a woman who had a healing ministry that was really on the forefront in the 1960s and 1970s here in the United States. And one of the things that she would say, when people would oppose her, they would, you know, they would contend with her about healing or about the person of the Holy Spirit, and they would attack her and say things against her. And when people. When there would be that opposition that would arise, she said, well, this train's moving too fast to just stop and throw rocks at barking dogs. What's that mean? She said, I'm not going to let opposition slow Me down in my advancement, in what I'm born for. And that's what the devil wants to do. He wants to hinder you. But just know this, that because he has been defeated, that he had, he doesn't have the authority to hinder and slow you down unless you give him a place. So don't give him a place. Think right. Recognize that you have complete victory over him. And know this revelation of these truths make authority real and effective when we go to use them, you have to build in you. I have authority over the devil, and not just my pastor, but the authority that has been given me is the same exact authority that's been given my pastor. My pastor doesn't have any more authority over the devil than I do. I have the exact same authority as every other believer. And I can stand my ground because what happened at Calvary and Jesus defeat over the enemy secured our victory. And our part is to walk in the light of that. We have to recognize sin shall not lord it over me. It has no more dominion over me. Therefore, bad habits, addictions of the past and bondages of the past cannot continue to live with me because I've been given authority over those. But we must recognize that we have been crucified, we have been buried, we have been raised, and we have been seated with Christ in heavenly places. You need to see yourself that way. You need to think of yourself in those terms. And you need to speak about that. That when something threatens you, you say, nope, I've been raised over that. I've been. I've been made dead to that. That thing that used to trouble my life. I'm dead to it. And you say, well, it doesn't feel like I'm dead to it. That's why we don't walk by what we feel. We walk by what the Word reveals to us. We walk by what we know. We don't walk by what we feel. I remember the testimony of a pastor before he was born again. As a young man, he had been in the drug life and he had been addicted to drugs. But when he got saved, God immediately just freed him from all of that. He had no more desire for it. And he told me he had been pastoring years later. And he said, I had a very interesting thing happen to me, he said, because he pastored not in his own hometown anymore, but he pastored in a whole different state and whole different community. But he said, I went back home to visit in his hometown. And he said, when I drove through the region where I used to as a Teenager go to. To partake with his friends in drugs and drinking. He said, I drove through that region, and he said, all of a sudden, when I drove through that region, he said, there came the taste of that alcohol back in my mouth. He said, I could feel the effects as though I was still using drugs. What was that? Well, those are lying vanities that the devil was using to try to entice him back into that. But he knew too much. He said, nope. He said, I'm not a drug addict. I'm not an alcoholic anymore. I've been made free from that. So notice this. The devil could manipulate things around him to make him feel as though he was again into bondage, in that. Into that. But he. He knew something. And he said, no, I've been made free from that. And he said, as soon as I exercise my authority, he said, every bit of that sensation of alcoholism and drug, it left me. But see, the devil will try to use and manipulate these things on people, testing to see what they know. Do they recognize that he's been defeated? He's hoping they don't know it. But that's why we're able to teach these things to you, because we want you to know that these things shall not lord it over you anymore. God said something to me years ago. He said, you know, if someone succumbs to sin, they yield to it, and they lay down to a flow of sin. He said, somebody that's looking on to that situation, they would say, well, sin took them out. And God said to me, sin never took out any of my children. And he said, what took them out is they did not start their day with me. They did not renew their mind to who they were in Christ. And so sin deceived them into thinking it had the power to take them out. He said, sin doesn't have the power to take out my children if they will stand on what I have done for them, and they will resist based on my word. I want you to know you're not slave to anything anymore because you are now in. In the victory that Christ won for you. And it's our privilege to enforce that victory. Amen. Well, it's been our privilege to come and spend this time with you on this broadcast. But I want you to know this. The only reason we're able to take this time and be with you is because of the generosity of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. They made the decision that no programmer on the Victory Channel would have to purchase the airtime. They gift that to us. So that really means they're gifting this time to you as well. And so when these broadcasts are a blessing to you, they feed you, they help you that you gain light of God's Word, then it's only appropriate to respond rightly to that. And so I'm asking that if you're if you're not a partner already with Kenneth Cofman Ministries, I ask you to become a partner because it's only right to sow to the place that feeds our life. And so I'm asking you to go to kcm.org to their website there. Follow the prompts to sign up to become a partner today. And as you do that, you keep this word coming into your home on a 24 hour basis. And remember this until next time, Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Nancy Dufresne’s message in this episode is a faith-filled, practical guide for Christians on living out their union with Christ. She stresses the necessity of mind renewal, faith, expectation, and consistently using spiritual authority—not to win a victory, but to enforce the one already won. Through vivid analogies, scripture, and testimonies, listeners are urged to stop fighting battles already won and instead reign, rest, and rule as those in Christ.
