Jill
Welcome to the Jill on Money show. It is Thursday, December 25, which means it's Christmas Day, which means this is going to be a short and sweet Christmas message from me and Mark. Hello, Mark, how are you?
Mark
Hello, Jill. Bye, Jill. See you tomorrow.
Jill
See ya. You know, Mark, it's such a hard time. Like the news cycle's been awful and you know, I'm a graduate of Brown University. That shooting is just looming as just this horrific thing. The Bondi beach shooting in Australia, the Rob Reiner crazy, horrible story about the murder of him and his wife. It's like dense in the universe. And so a day like today where you can be happy and celebrate all the good parts of whatever's going on, whether you are Christian or Jewish or Muslim or Hindu, it doesn't really matter. Like, the spirit of the day is to be happy and to celebrate really good things. So it's been a rough go though.
Mark
Mark, been a rough go. But I would agree today's the day to kind of just, you know, turn it off, turn it off for the day. Spend some time with your family, your friends, eat some food, have some drinks, watch some football, just turn it off and enjoy yourselves.
Jill
Exactly. And you know, it's also funny because oftentimes, you know, here we are, we're talking about money. And you know, this seems to be like a one hit wonder on this program. We don't dive into politics and other things. We dive into your lives. And your life and your experience in this world is so much more than a list of numbers on a spreadsheet or a balance sheet. And in the same way that I think we could use a little grace when it comes to, you know, just who we are in the universe. It's like give yourselves some grace when it comes to whatever situation you find yourself in. And so if there is anything that is going on that requires our assistance, you can sure know that we will be here for you. You can go to jillonmoney.com you can click the contact us button, do all that Stu. But most importantly, please, please, please just try to be good to each other and be there for each other. And I know that in this community, Mark, we always have folks who are kind of looking out for one another. So if there is someone out there who needs some assistance and needs sort of a group hug from the Jill on money community, we're here for you. You can always get in touch with us. So, Mark, are you going to be watching Love actually today?
Mark
It's a good question. I always try to. Christmas Day. Yeah, we, you know, after Theo goes to bed, it'll probably find its way on the tv. Although, you know, this year, Christmas day, there's a couple of NFL games on, so we'll see. I. I'll. I'll make room for it.
Jill
You. You must. And I have already watched a Charlie Brown Christmas, always my favorite. So that. That's always the best one. Any other Christmas wishes for from you? I'm not going to be a Grinch. I'm just going to be all about, you know, the Cindy Lou who.
Mark
No Grinches allowed. Theo hates the Grinch, by the way.
Jill
Oh, is that right?
Mark
We won't even watch it.
Jill
Why is that? Do you think he gets scared of it?
Mark
Yeah, yeah, I think he gets scared. You know, we watched. We watched the original Frosty. We watched the original Rudolph. Well, you know, we watched the other day was Elf with Will Ferrell.
Jill
Oh, that's fun. That's totally fun. I like that. All right, well, listen, we're here to experience your holiday time. If some. Something's going on, we'd love to hear from you. If you have ideas for us for next year, get in touch with us. But mostly we're just coming into your feed today to wish you all the best, health, happiness and gratitude. So thank you so much for joining us today. We will always ask you to lift someone up and do something nice for someone else. But more than ever today, this season, reach out to someone. Change your work, change your wealth, change your life. We'll have a real show tomorrow. Thanks for listening. We'll talk to you then.

Podcast: Jill on Money with Jill Schlesinger
Episode: Happy Holidays From Jill and Mark!
Date: December 25, 2025
Host: Jill Schlesinger, with Mark
This special Christmas Day episode of "Jill on Money" is a short, heartfelt message from Jill Schlesinger and producer Mark. Rather than discussing financial strategies, Jill and Mark focus on the importance of pausing, celebrating, and supporting one another during the holidays—especially in times of widespread sadness and challenging news. They stress the value of community, kindness, and personal connection beyond the numbers on a spreadsheet.
Warm, empathetic, conversational, and supportive. Jill and Mark acknowledge difficult realities but encourage a positive, restorative pause. The episode centers on gratitude, kindness, and human connection rather than financial advice.
