Welcome to the Jill on Money Show. It's Wednesday, January 1st. It is new Year's Day. What's the big game today, Mark? What? What is that big game?
Mark
I don't know. I guess it would be the Rose bowl, but, you know, now this year's the new College Football Playoff format. So I would think it's the Rose bowl. And something else maybe. I really don't know. But it's college football, all right.
Jill Schlesinger
College football time. And. And also maybe just one of those days where you just got to have a lot of oatmeal, you know, like something soaking up last night. I hope that you all celebrated with a little bit of, I don't know, caution, perhaps, or just you didn't do anything. A lot of people just stay home now. Anyway, this is going to be one of those episodes where we'll see if anybody's listening from Odyssey, from our distributor, because they sell advertising against us. And this is. They're like, are you on a regular publishing schedule for the holidays?
Mark
Yeah, that made me laugh.
Jill Schlesinger
Yes, of course we are. And so, because we don't really. We don't go on vacation. They obviously sold advertising against this show, which may be disappointing to you, but that's how we can do this for free, right? That's. We have advertisers. The advertisers probably don't realize there's no content except me and Mark talking about New Year's Day financial resolutions. You got them? Eh, they don't really work that well. But if you need help with prioritizing your financial life and you really want a little jump on what you should be doing, why don't you get in touch with us? Go to jillenmoney.com Click the contact us button, write us a note. It may even be your subject is just financial resos help. And then we'll bring you on the air. And it's so much fun because Mark does all the work and I don't have to do anything but sit here and talk to you guys.
Mark
I was going to say this is. What is this? New Year's Day, 2025. This is the beginning, Jill, of our 14th year, of Jill on Money. Not this podcast, but Jill on Money. One iteration or another.
Jill Schlesinger
14 years. 14 years. Yeah. We started in January of 2011. Thank you, Harvey. In that thank you, Harvey.
Mark
That narrow back hallway in the broadcast center.
Jill Schlesinger
That's disgusting.
Mark
When it took us like six hours to do a two hour show.
Jill Schlesinger
We've learned a lot.
Mark
Oh, God.
Jill Schlesinger
To be clear, Mark is the person who got us to the place that we are today. And like prior to the pandemic, we were doing the show remotely. Remember? Because Theo was born and we were talking about, how do you. How do we make it easier for you not to come up into the broadcast center? Right. And I mean, do I miss the people coming into the studio a little bit. I mean, I like that. It was nice. I'm over it, believe me. But I mean. Anyway, gang, we are grateful for you. We hope you have a wonderful New Year's Day. We will be back in your ears tomorrow. And we are always so grateful, really. You can subscribe to us on the Odyssey app. Don't tell them that this is a shortened, separate show. Don't. Please, please. And you can leave us a rating and review, but only say nice things because otherwise I have a very thin skin. So don't forget to do something nice for someone else. Reach out to some people today because this is a nice time to reach out to folks. Really change your work, change your wealth, change your life. Thank you for listening. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
Mark
