This is real. Because sometimes I describe it as I'm a genius. But let me just tell you really what happened. I went. I went to Puerto Rico. It's my first time in Puerto Rico. I don't speak Spanish. I'm not fluent like that. I can understand it. You can't talk about me in Spanish. I'll know that. I'll get us out of bread square Garden if it's a stabbing, like, I could get. I know enough Spanish not to get jerked when I bought work. You know what I'm saying? So I go to Puerto Rico. This is when Ja rule is like, 10 million. He's the hottest dude on the planet. I get to Puerto Rico. They're like, yo, Ja Rules at your show. And this is when I'm talking about, you know, Ja Ja, like, when, you know, shirt off everywhere. Like, he has no shirt. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's just walking around. And so I'm on the island of Puerto Rico. I'm like, I'm mad nervous because I'm like, yo, this is sold out. Why? Why are they sold out? Nothing is number one, homeboy. I came to parcel. I'm like, all right, cool. So I'm like, but why is it? There's too many people. Like, I've been shows in Puerto Rico, but I've never done a show like this. They're like, yo. They go, this was Thaygo's show. And they go, backed out at the last minute. So I'm like, oh, this takes all the pressure off of me. I'm like, oh, okay. They here for Thaygo. All right, cool. I know I got hits, so it doesn't matter what language, homeboy. I came to party. Is ripping anything down.

And I was so used to performing and a fight breaking out or someone throwing a drink on someone, and these guys partied. I wanted a part of that world. I was like, I don't want. I don't want to be around violence anymore. I don't want to do. So I did one record, and it was called Toma Reggae Tone. And that record went through. It went. Whatever did I bring. I came up to Kevin Laos, ironically, I came up to Kevin Laos and I said, listen, Kev, I want to do. Do Spanish. I want to do this music. You know? You know, Beyonce did it. Everyone's go. No one sees it at the time. So Kev goes, I'm gonna do something that I don't do for no artists. I'm gonna let you go out there and go. Go do the record. So I literally. I literally, like right now with all these DJs playing reggae thong. Like, I literally had to go to these people, Joe. Like, this is the reason why I was so passionate about it, because I know if it worked, we would be right here. But I thought they would be praising me, like, God, like, you know what I'm saying? I thought them is, like, whatever, thank you for what you did. Keep going. You know what I mean? But. But that shit gave.
