You know, I did night school, the movie, and Kevin Hart kept fucking with me because is this heavy actor or. Like, my scene would be at 10 at night, but they come get me at 6 in the morning.

But you do that with all your movies or, you know, when you take a chance with somebody or you see a guy that writes and you like, all right, I think he could be. You know. Cause you're putting your career, your word, your everything on the line on the others.

You know, when you see something and if you're smart, you get stingy with it. You know what I'm saying? Cause you're like, if you see something, you're like, yo, we can help each other, but I know, you know what I'm saying? Like, this is something special. Try to bring it out, but like, make sure that you keep that, you know, keep those people close to you. I think people. And now, you know, and make sure that they get taken care of too. I think that's important if you can.

And his philosophy or ideology was everybody gotta eat. He did not feel good if everybody in the team wasn't eating. And he taught me different. But everybody gotta cook, though. If everybody's gotta eat, everybody gotta cook too. And I think that's the problem. Sometimes everybody, you sometimes feel like Joe

of the day, right?

You get around people and they feel like, you know, you want everybody, but everybody gotta be a part of it. And everybody, you can't just, you know, expect it to just fall off people's your plate onto theirs, you know what I'm saying? I think everybody, that's why the crews that I really respect and I see them come up, everybody has a lane, you know what I'm saying? And when you start figuring out what everybody's lane is, everybody is not gonna fit on the freeway. Seriously. And sometimes you gotta. I've gotten older and I've realized sometime now that you gotta, you know, be like your crew only can have a certain amount of lanes in it of your people. You really can be like, I can, I can take care of you. You know what I'm saying? We can take care of each other. And then those people gotta have their people. But I feel like, I think that's a problem with Us a little bit sometimes is that we and people around us sometimes just feel entitled. Cause we all came up together. But, like, you want everybody to win, but the whole thing is the proximity of being around you, being around Jada, like, that's a win in itself.

They don't understand that.

And I think the people talk slow

When I look, when I look and I look and I look at the crews that I love, and I look and I see LeBron and his crew, Jane and his crew. Like, people have jobs. You know what I'm saying? You and your crew, people have jobs. People have things that they do. And there's not that whole era of people just be around to be around. I'm old for that. I'm too old for that.

You always talk about that on this show. Coming in the game early, you tend to. You think it's cool to want to bring everybody. Till you learn financially, mentally, spiritually, judicially. You had it up the head with bills and lawyers, and just taking in a big entourage turns into three, maybe three or four.

My circle's so small, it's like a fucking period. I can't even fit no more.

That's how it's supposed to be. And you got. Still got your crew, your seat. But I feel like the problem is that people feel like that they just should have. You know what I'm saying? And I feel like that causes resentment, it causes contempt. And that energy is toxic.

That's the world that we live in right now. I just was having this conversation, and it's crazy. And I remember when Jay dropped the lyric, my dad had said it to me when I was a kid. This kid on the block had Dartnell, had a mongoose, and I had a huffy.

You know, I had a huffy.

And I wanted. I was, like, saying something. I was like, I hate Darnell. My dad was like, come here. He was like, where, Darnell? Eat don't make you shit. And I was like, okay. Then when Jay said, Look, I remember it popped back up. Anyway, I went back in the house, I was talking to my great grandma, and she's like, what's wrong? I was like, daddy cussed at me. And she's like, what's wrong? And I was like. I told her what he said. She was like, you know what he meant by that? And she was like, if Darnell's hungry and he eats, are you gonna have to use the bathroom later? And so I was like, no. She's like, so then why do you care about what Darnell eats? And I was like, and I'm telling you. And I put this on my children. I put this on my life. I'm not trying to. I have a lot of flaws. I have never been jealous of a person in my entire. I've been envious.
