Adventure Life Todays guest entrepreneur. joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired business podcast is a lady with more energy, than the most energised person you can think off. Yep, think of the person you know the most who runs, leaps, and bounds out of bed earlier than anyone, and they will look like a couch potato compared to this lady. In the last few years she has completed the 3 Peaks Challenge, Adventure racing in Borneo, Cycled London to Paris in 24 hours, Cycled London to Amsterdam in 48 hours, Completed The 3 Peaks Cycle Challenge (cycling 430 miles and climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK) in 3 days, Learnt how to become an alpine mountaineer, Climbed Mont Blanc And that is just some of the things that has challenged and pushed her onwards to greater and greater successes in her life. The different careers that she has built has led to a lifestyle a freedom and success. I got tired just reading the list out. But like most of us that end up doing amazing things, her life going into the adult working life was anything but remarkable. During college she performed many various tasks within an office environment and due to her boundless enthusiasm and passions for the tasks, moved through the ranks quickly impressing everyone that she met, wherever she worked. Focusing her talents on culture building, start-ups, marketing and being the best that she can be, she thrived in the corporate world. But it was when she moved away from the world of the grey suits, that she has expanded her impressive resume of doing the things least expected and doing them better than most As she says "I believe that it is through challenging ourselves that we stretch our limits, break down barriers and realise we can achieve far more than we think. We raise the bar of what we expect from ourselves, develop confidence, resilience and drive and go out to achieve more across all areas of life. This is what has happened to me and I'm on a mission to give you the inspiration and tools to be the very best you can be and get the most out of your life." So how did she manage to overcome the fears that hold so many of us back as we look to having rich and fulfilling experiences in our lives? And how has she managed to become so supremely fit, in so many different areas, and still keep on having the passion for more? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only fitness entrepreneur Sophie Radcliffe.

The Crappiest Business Advice Follow Up Is the "solopreneur" dream actually a trap? In this episode of Join Up Dots, we dismantle the myth of doing everything yourself. Years ago, I believed success meant showing up everywhere, only to realize I'd built a prison cell with Wi-Fi. I share why simply hiring help often destroys your profit and why scaling requires a mindset shift. Instead of just adding costs, we explore how to audit your daily tasks to create a "Freedom Builder" business. Stop building a job that nobody else wants and start designing a system that provides the choice and freedom you originally set out to achieve. Are you building a business, or just a more restrictive version of your old job?

The Crappiest Business Advice You Will Ever HEAR Stop trying to be everywhere online. Success isn't about posting on every platform, it's about creating real value and putting it in front of the right people. Elvis Presley didn't use social media, yet his music spread worldwide because it was unique and in demand. Even Pat Flynn once promoted "be everywhere," which many of us bought into, but it often leads to burnout and distraction. The truth is you don't need maximum visibility, just the right visibility in the right places. Build something worth talking about, then let it spread. #Business #Entrepreneurship #Marketing #Mindset #JoinUpDots #SimpleBusiness #Focus

Stripping Back Life And Commitments (Your Emails) In this episode of Join Up Dots, David Ralph explores how most people are busy doing things that don't actually matter. He asks a simple question: if you removed 80% of what you did yesterday, would anything really change? He shares how he once ran his business by constantly adding more projects, websites and ideas, believing that more activity meant more success. Over time, he realised the opposite was true — the more he stripped away, the more focused, profitable and free his life became. By removing unnecessary work and focusing only on core activities like podcasting and audience connection, his income increased while stress dropped. He now takes regular time away, including monthly breaks, without worrying about the business. The key message is that busyness is not productivity. Most people spend their time on low-value tasks that don't move their life forward. Success comes from removing the unnecessary and focusing on what truly creates results.

The 1st British Woman To Get To The North Pole Todays guest joining us ready to be interviewed on the motivation packed Join Up Dots is a remarkable lady who has been introduced to the show by the brilliant Cathy O'Dowd who appeared on the show way back on episode 88. Now this episode is going to get us all thinking about what is possible in life. The kind of lifestyle we could possess if we only stop thinking of what could happen, and instead decided what will happen And what we are capable of achieving in business, as the first thing that appeared when I checked her website out were these great words " Life is a journey to find out what you are capable of, yet it is one that people often shy away from" She is an explorer and lover of the big challenges in life. But life didn't start in such a grand fashion, as like most of us she started her career as far away from freedom as was possible in a corporate gig, and worked for British Gas. Although it is true to say that even within an environment like this, she was out to prove a few things and became one the youngest employees ever to reach a Senior Management Role within the organisation. But it was when made the decision to spend 3 moths in Kenya on her first expedition that her life truly changed forever It was then she could start to see the first footsteps on the path that she has travelled ever since, and developed her belief that she was capable of more than she imagined possible.. In 2013, she celebrated twenty five years since she made her that first expedition to Kenya, And since then she became an inspiration to many as the first British woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole, which led onto expeditions to Antarctica, the Geographical North Pole and skiing with an international team across the Greenland Ice Cap. These expeditions taught her the realities of leadership, managing change and maintaining motivation, which she now helps business leaders put into practice today through corporate coaching and keynote presentations. So why did she decide to do that first three months in Kenya, and did she have to quit her job to do it, or did she have lovely bosses that allowed such a huge amount of annual leave? And as we find time and time again on Join Up Dots, is it the true hardships that we learn from most, or do they just point us to the direction we should be moving? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only inspiration and entrepreneur Sue Stockdale.
