B
I'm here.
A
You are here, honey. Looking good.
B
No, that's you. That is you. We matching. You got leather on.
A
We already on the same page. I love it.
B
I love that.
A
I love it.
B
The vibrations. Yes, they're high.
A
I appreciate that. I appreciate it. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by.
B
For sure. I was excited. I was excited. I'm like, yes, we're going to go somewhere positive.
A
Yes, we're going. Listen.
B
Yeah.
A
Safe place.
B
It's a safe place.
A
Thank you.
B
Yes.
A
Thank you so much. I want to learn about more about your journey. You're from Detroit.
B
Yes.
A
I'm a place that has so much rich history.
B
Yeah.
A
What was it like growing up and what were the inspirations that really pushed you to want to do music?
B
Growing up in Detroit, I mean, it's bittersweet, you know, I don't even remember how if it was bad or not, because we made it great, me and my siblings. You know, My mom had five of us at 21. I'm the oldest of six right now. And we had each other. You know, we didn't have much, but we had each other. And I can't complain about my upbringing in Detroit even. You know, Detroit is Detroit, though.
A
Yeah.
B
It's rough.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, it's a. It's a home of hustlers and pimps and furs and hair.
A
And what was that like? Like, was it almost just like second nature because that's all you knew.
B
That's all I know.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, so, like, think about second nature to you, how people could say, how are you so positive? That's second nature. I can't even explain to you, how to just be positive. That's just who I am.
A
Right.
B
So it's like, that's Detroit. That's just who I am. And that's all I know. But as I traveled the world, I noticed that every place is not like this. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, it's easier in Detroit. It's not a lot of opportunities that just come. People not just traveling to Detroit. I mean, now, but you have to go get it.
A
Yeah.
B
You got to figure it out. And I got it out the mud.
A
Yeah.
B
I started from nothing and made it into something.
A
Made it into something. I love that you're in this industry where women are dominating the rap game. Yes. Like, y'all are killing it.
B
Yes.
A
And I'm loving it.
B
Me too.
A
It's, like, beautiful to see, like, everybody just doing their thing, and y'all are so confident and powerful in this space. How do you feel about it? And then who would be, like, your dream? Collab. If you could collab with anybody, who would it be.
B
Like of all time?
A
Yeah, anybody. Yeah. Dead or alive? I like to ask those questions, like, if anybody. Like, if you could have your.
B
Oh, Aaliyah.
A
Oh. What?
B
That is my number.
A
You already got the bang.
B
That's my number one favorite artist.
A
Is she not a man of all time? I remember where I was so effortless. Effortless, beautiful. Just. I wanted to be her.
B
Just so fire. Yes, Her. She beautiful. Like, she didn't have to do much. She didn't have to show much. She just was herself and just so true. Aaliyah is my favorite of all time, and, you know, she's from the.
A
Exactly.
B
So coming up, and I'm seeing her, I'm like, I could do that, but I don't know if I could do that. Like, that's Aaliyah.
A
The fact that you thought that and look at you now. Come on. Want to do it.
B
That is my crap, girl. She really helped me just even have that. That inspiration of, like, coming out of Detroit.
A
Like, yeah.
B
Oh, I could be that girl, you know? So Aaliyah of all times.
A
Yes.
B
Rihanna.
A
Love.
B
Yes. Gotta love me some re.
A
I can see that real. Y'all would kill us on together.
B
Bria is my girl. We be in our. In the DM talking, girl. That is my girl.
A
I love it.
B
That's amazing. Who else I like as far as dreaming? Her.
A
Oh, she's so talented.
B
See, you sound like all these R and B.
A
You love R and B?
B
Yes, I love R and B. That's what I Listen to.
A
Oh, wow. Yes.
B
That's all I listen to.
A
I was gonna ask you that. Like, where do you pull your inspiration from? Do you listen to other music to be like, let me see what's out here, or you like one people? Like, I can't.
B
Because some artists cannot listen to nobody. I don't. I can't. Especially not other female rappers.
A
Yeah.
B
And in ain't even that. I. I don't like them. I can't listen to them because I get in the studio like. Like right now. I like that song Brokey. Oh, yeah. I mean, the student are like, Brokey. I might catch myself wanting to say this, like, no, that's not yours. You know what I'm saying? So I don't even listen to them so that I could just stay on track with myself. But, like, as far as female rappers, I like Cardi.
A
Love Cardi. Yeah.
B
I like all of them. Meg. I love Glow, baby.
A
Come on, Tennessee.
B
Playing with my girl.
A
Yes.
B
I love Latto Sex All. Everybody that's out right now, we could.
A
Just do a whole, like, collaboration. I love that.
B
I'll do that, like, for sure. But. And then the fact that we living in a time where so many female rappers and it never been like this, it's just like, dang. It's like we living in history, literally. It's something that's different. It's a new wave. And to know that I was at the top of the pyramid when it first started.
A
Yes.
B
It wasn't a lot of girls before I came out, so it's like, dang, man. It's just to know that I'm a part of a wave, like, that is crazy.
A
Yeah. I love that. I was at Meals on Wheels, like, two years ago. And you performed.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Here, right around the corner. And my publicist, she is Jennifer, the whitest black girl you ever meet. Rapping lyric for lyric. I love Cash Doll.
B
I was like, stage here.
A
I would have never guessed it. But, like, you're like, people love you. Like, I was just like, wow. Because you think I'm like, yeah, you probably don't know about none of that. Cash Doll, when I say she was.
B
In there, like, I've been at my. At my shows, I'd be looking like, wow.
A
Yes. You have diverse. It's like, very diverse crowd.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah. How did y'all came to see me reach? Yeah.
B
I don't know. You know what? This tour is really helping me realize who I am.
A
Wow.
B
Because I've been in clubs and just, like, doing little quick shows Sometime I do festivals or whatever the case may be, but they're here to see multiple artists.
A
Yeah.
B
These people are here to see me. So it's like when I'm seeing these people in the crowd and, like, little young kids and like I said, it's very diverse. And people with my shirts on and hats and signs, I'm like, this is where we are.
A
The little girl from Detroit that looked.
B
Up to Aaliyah, looking up to Aaliyah.
A
Wondering if I could do. I can't do it like that.
B
I can't do it like her, but I'mma do it.
A
You doing it.
B
And it's like, wow.
A
I love it.
B
It's very. It's just mind blowing.
A
Yeah, it is.
B
I'm not even going. It is.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, and then to be off tour, I mean, like, while I'm on tour, and then, like, the days I do have off, I'm just slumped.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's like, you know, finding that balance with being a mom. That's why my son is here.
A
I wanted to ask. Yeah. Cash is here.
B
Oh, my God. It's just.
A
How do you balance that off?
B
I don't know. God.
A
God. Come on. Yeah. Like, literally, you had to lean on him.
B
It's nobody else but God.
A
Yeah.
B
I just let it go and let. God just help me, you know, I want to be the best mom I could be. You know, I want to be the best artist I could be. I want to be the best woman I could be for myself.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, I want to wake up and remember to take my vitamins and to do my skin routine and to exfoliate. But when you're on a rush, you're going, going, going, going, going, going. Those things fall. Always somethings fall short.
A
Yeah.
B
And don't have a man, maybe.
A
Cause. Yeah.
B
That's another kid.
A
That's another. You took the words out. That's another child that needs that attention and that love.
B
That attention. That love. And nurturing that relationship, too. You have to nurture all the relationships in your life.
A
Yeah.
B
And I tell people all the time, like, you have to make sure that you prioritize them all.
A
Yeah.
B
Because, you know, like, I feel like some people get in relationships and they just prioritize that.
A
Yeah.
B
And everything else falls short. And then when that relationship don't work, they're searching and looking for people to.
A
And.
B
And it's like, if you prioritize everything, I mean, of course, when it's over, it's still a hurt, but you still have those same people. And you've still been nurturing all your relationships, and they're still there. Yeah, you dropped that ball. Now you trying to go find other people. Come back. I need y'all. I'm going through something. Yeah, they like, no, I mean, when you going through something.
A
Yeah, Right. You forgot about us.
B
You forgot about me when you was all lovey dovey, went on talk about it. You know what I'm saying? Like, when you was on head over here, you forgot about your girl. So. No, I've been guilty of that. You guilty.
A
I've been guilty of that. Like, being so head over heels.
B
You have?
A
Well, like, I just, like, I'm pouring, pouring, pouring into my person that my girl's like, Danielle spending time with us. But, like, your person is always like, let's do this. Let's do this. Let's go here. And it's like.
B
And you want to go. Because when you. Especially that beginning.
A
In the beginning. Oh, forget about it.
B
Forget about it. Y'all will never see me. I'm with my man. Goodbye. See you later, girl. And then when he done pissed you off, you calling your friends, they like, nah, nah.
A
What you doing? I miss you. No. Oh, you.
B
You miss me?
A
You got time now.
B
Yeah, Yeah.
A
I do better about prioritizing now.
B
Prioritizing. Yeah.
A
And that comes with maturity and just growth and learning how to balance it.
B
And then it's healthy for your relationship with him, too, because I feel like he has time to miss you and see that you have a life outside of him.
A
Exactly.
B
And not just, oh, baby, baby. It's like, yeah, I have other things to do.
A
Like, yeah.
B
Separate.
A
That's so. I absolutely love that because I've been like that. It does. It comes having growth, maturity. I feel like we grown now.
B
Yeah. And then it helped the relationship last longer. I feel like.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
It's like when you miss them, you know, you got other things to do when y'all like, scheduling and trying to be together. It's like when you get together that time, just.
A
Yes.
B
It count. Like, you gotta make it count.
A
You know.
B
You gotta make it count.
A
You gotta make it count.
B
So, yeah, just. That's where I'm at in life.
A
I love that.
B
Balancing.
A
Balancing it out.
B
All of this.
A
Yeah, all of this. It's a lot. You just told me that you don't get a lot of rest. I want to challenge you, Cash. I want you to take a day for yourself. You have to, because I know you've been busy.
B
Today was supposed to be that day, but then they Said you. I was getting up.
A
Oh, okay. Well, you make an exception today. And to that, I say thank you. But after this, go to get up, lay down.
B
But Cash didn't want to go to Chuck E. Cheese, and I haven't took him.
A
That's another priority.
B
See what I'm saying?
A
It doesn't stop.
B
And then tomorrow, I have to go to New Orleans. And then after New Orleans, I have to go to Memphis. And then after Memphis, I have to go to Dallas. And then after Dallas, I got to go to Houston.
A
These are the things you guys don't see.
B
They don't see that then in all these places, I have to make sure that my hair, makeup is on point.
A
Yes.
B
I have to make sure my outfits is on point for the stage. I have to make sure that I remember to pack all this stuff. Because if you leave one shoe, that messes up everything.
A
Everything.
B
Right? Because you're moving. You're moving out of this car to this Sprinter, to this hotel, to this. And then you got kids. My daughter need her diaper changed. She need a bottle right now. Cash didn't want to get on the airplane. He's like. He just fell down the stairs. Now I gotta stop everything I'm doing. What happened?
A
Shook.
B
Then my manager's on the phone. You have to be here in five minutes.
A
You're like, I'm trying. Hey. Yeah. Do you ever, like, deal with, like, anxiety? Because it's. I'm. You don't know stress, guys.
B
I'm like that tree, like, when it's a storm that's just still that just. I sit real quiet, and I just be like, yeah, I will sit there, and I'll just let all the chaos go.
A
Wow.
B
And while the chaos is going, I'm already calculating it all.
A
So good, Cash. That's good.
B
Then when it's over, I'll be like, all right, so this is how we gonna do this.
A
Course, girl.
B
I need all y'all to get in line. This is how we gonna do this. This is the only way this gonna work. And then it works. That's.
A
God, I love that. Because, girl, I'll be stressed. I would get stressed out. Therapy and all. The window.
B
And I don't even have my best friend, my therapist, really.
A
That's good. Somebody you can trust. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
My best friend and, like, my big sister. And, you know, I just. I let it out with people I love. Yeah, I. I know. Eventually, I will get a therapist, though. I don't think nothing's wrong with it.
A
No, not. I have A therapist. I love it. Yeah. I don't think tell people all the time because I feel like it is harder for people who have celebrity status to, like, find somebody they can trust because trust is such a big thing in our life. But because of law, they can't tell anybody. But even still in the back of my mind, it's like, you gonna tell my business, right? Like, how much can I really tell you?
B
Because they got a best friend.
A
Hello, girl. You know, cash out came in here. Girl.
B
Cash doll came in here. Stressed her. You should have seen her listen.
A
So that's good. You have your tribe.
B
I have my sisterhood.
A
That's important. It is very important.
B
Sisterhood is so important for us women.
A
It is.
B
And I don't know how women do wrong by their girls because I need my friends. I need them. It's not even a want or it's a need to be able to pull up and let it all out.
A
Yes.
B
And then walk away. Like, I just dropped the load on her and she couldn't wait, you know, because she is.
A
Yeah.
B
It's a reciprocating. I love that, you know, that helps my kids.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, just seeing them having a good time and then when I'm getting dressed and getting fly.
A
Yeah.
B
I love that type of stuff.
A
I know that's right. And you always fly. Do you style yourself or do you have a stylist?
B
I style myself. And then when I run out of things because traveling, it gets like that. I have relationships, you know. Cause I've been around for a while. So I'll call and have them pull me some pieces or go shop, you know, that helps me too.
A
Yes. That's a little therapy.
B
Oh, I love me some shopping, baby. Shop, shop, shop. Yes, shopping. Eating.
A
Eating ash. We can hang out. Cause we like to do the same thing.
B
We like to do the same thing. But I was about to say something else, but I'mma keep it by. There's one more thing I like.
A
As she switched the baby.
B
I'mma not say it, but everybody know what I'm talking about. But that keeps me good.
A
Yes.
B
Balance.
A
Balance. I love it. I love it. You are the oldest of six.
B
Yeah.
A
Have you ever felt survivor's remorse for being the one who made it and trying to, like, pull everybody up with you or even holding everybody up. How was that experience? Cause I definitely dealt with that and it was really tough. And I think that's what drove me to my first panic attack. And having anxiety was. Cause like. And then like, how do I keep all this up because I gotta, you know what I'm saying, Keep this life for everybody.
B
Now, I did it all the way up until I had my first child.
A
Wow.
B
That's when I said, okay, all bets are off. I have my own responsibility here.
A
Absolutely.
B
You know what I'm saying? And then especially when you find yourself pouring, pouring, pouring, pouring into people and it's not reciprocated in no kind of way, you know, because some people might not be able to pour into you the same kind of way or it might not be cost.
A
Right.
B
Some kind of way.
A
And that's okay.
B
Make it reciprocate. Like, make it make sense, you know, because then if I'm pouring, you can't pour back into me. Now I'm empty pouring.
A
I have nothing left.
B
I have nothing left. And I feel like that's not fair.
A
Right?
B
So I only pour into people. And it's not like intentional, but I pour into people that I feel reciprocation from. Like, even like with my sisters, I pour into them. They help me with my kids. I have two sisters and they got my kids now. You know what I'm saying? So in those ways or ways where you could call me and make me make my day better, or you give me good vibes, I got this one friend named Daniel. Oh, my God. Every time I see Daniel, he just makes me happy. I enjoy him so much. And it's like just little stuff like that. It don't have to be you buying me something really expensive or it don't have to be what I do for you. It just have to be some type of way you pour into my cup.
A
Yeah.
B
You know what I'm saying? Absolutely. Because I can't. I'm not doing that to myself. You're not leaving me empty.
A
Hello.
B
So once I seen him, that made me realize, like, oh, no, this is it. I need to have my cup for my baby.
A
Yes.
B
You know what I'm saying?
A
I love that. Yeah. You spoke about your on a recent interview about one of your regrets being buying a mansion.
B
Yeah.
A
And I literally, two years ago, I bought like a multi million dollar home. Seven bedrooms. I'm by myself in this house. And when I saw you say that, I felt so seen because I was literally in the process of like, I need to downsize. Because what. Why did I.
B
What am I doing?
A
Why did I do this? Like, all the money on that mortgage. For what?
B
For what? And all the down payment, ma'am. And the maintenance.
A
Ma'am. The maintenance.
B
I had a pool.
A
Oh. See, I Didn't. Oh, I had a yard. Oh, yeah.
B
That's koi fish in there.
A
Oh, yeah, that's. That is a bill, baby.
B
Then I had a grass that was made out of an elephant, so I had to keep that trim. Had to keep me trimmed.
A
Hello. It was a lot of trimming.
B
Cars.
A
Cars. Wow. So I feel like we are similar in this area as well.
B
And then all the doors at night, you want to make sure every door, you have everything. So everything has to be intact. So now you got. It's just. I said, you know what? I can't do it.
A
Mm. Since I'm with you.
B
And then I didn't have a man.
A
Yeah.
B
It's like, nope.
A
Yeah.
B
Not gonna happen. Nah. And I let it go.
A
That's amazing. I'm proud of you for that.
B
Thank you.
A
Because a lot of times I think we get money. We get a lot of money, and then it's like, we do things that we. I can do it. I can afford that.
B
I can afford it.
A
I can do that. Like, I got it. But then you start to educate yourself, and you're like, wait a minute. I can be doing a lot with this money.
B
What?
A
And I can still have a beautiful home for half the price of this. That's enough.
B
It's something that I don't even need all this.
A
And you not there half the time anyway, you know? But you want to come home and be comfortable. But, like, do you need all that?
B
But do you need all that?
A
What was that self, like, reflection when you were like, girl, you don't need all this?
B
I think it's. When I came to Atlanta to film bmf, I had a condo, a high rod, and that view, David. Sexy, that light.
A
Yes.
B
And it was only like $5,000 a month or something at the time. Now it's probably a little bit more. Atlanta went up.
A
It has.
B
But I'm like, wow. And then I just felt like a bachelorette.
A
Yes.
B
I was having a time. I got valet outside. Mm. It's a view. Restaurants everywhere.
A
Mm. Right here. I'm like, no line, no elephants, or.
B
What was the elephant.
A
It was no elephant to the trail, girl.
B
No pond and koi fish.
A
None of that. The pool has already got the maintenance. That's all in there.
B
It's already in there. And it's sexy and it's grown, and it's just rich. It's still the life. I said, oh, I'm overdoing it.
A
Overdoing it.
B
Yeah, I'm overdoing it. Especially for me not to have no kids or a family. I feel like that's when you have a family, and it's a big family, and, you know, y'all have a couple dollars.
A
Yeah. You need the space, and you need.
B
That space in the different rooms. I feel like that's what mansions are for. They not for single people. I didn't have not one kid.
A
Girl, that's me sitting in that house.
B
You don't have any?
A
None, None. Hearing every crack creek, and I'm like, what's that now?
B
You just sitting there jumping scared. So what did you move?
A
I haven't yet.
B
I just, like.
A
I really just came to this realization in the past month.
B
Okay.
A
Yeah. And then I saw you said. And I was like, girl, that is me. But I got a condo in Miami just like you. I got a condo in Miami. It's only like 1200 square feet. It's perfect.
B
You love it there?
A
I love it.
B
You want to go there?
A
41St floor.
B
41St. I'm not mad at that. I mean, the sky, I like that.
A
Gorgeous. And, like, the light. Even Wes, he went for his birthday. I said, just go stay at the condo. Because we were in New York for fashion Week. And he's like, I see why you come down here and don't want. I said, yeah. So peaceful that I'm with you.
B
See, I see. Yeah.
A
My realtor, she was like, I called and I said, I think I want to downsize. She said, girl, they got this new condo building here. She said, I got you. Yeah. So I'm thinking I'm a. Yeah, downsize. Yeah, you should.
B
You should. Especially until you have kids.
A
Yeah.
B
It don't, like, just wait it out. Like, you don't even need that right now. I mean, it's good. It's not good. There's no way I could see because it's so much money into it. You spend so so much money. You not even really all the way safe.
A
No.
B
You know, Cause houses is not like my house got broken into here, you know, so. And then you by yourself. You're a woman.
A
Yeah. Oh, my. I can't even imagine that violation. And just even the state of the world right now, I see all these posts about this outage that's gonna come and the blackout. And one guy was just saying. He was like, imagine. He said, when people who are prepared haven't eaten in three days, what are they gonna do? They gonna start breaking into houses. It's gonna be in flight or flight mode and, like, trying to survive. And I was like, that's really scary. We're not safe.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I'm saying? I'm like, what am I gonna do? Come in here if you want to. You know, we're not gang bangers. We're not gang bangers. No, I don't wanna be in that.
B
We are women. We wanna be soft.
A
Yes, please.
B
Don't nobody wanna feel like, shoot em up, baby.
A
No.
B
Don't nobody feel like that.
A
No. Speaking of shoot up Babang, One of my guilty pleasures is like, mafia drug movies and TV shows.
B
It just makes you feel like that, like. Yeah.
A
I love them, like, so much. Especially when they're true stories.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, it don't matter what it is.
B
You're like, that really happened.
A
Yes. I'm fascinated by it. I'm just like, oh, my gosh. How people love, like, true crime. I love, like, the mafia mob and gang movies. Okay. Okay. So when it came to bmf, True story and story time. I auditioned for Monique.
B
You did?
A
Yes. So when I saw them. Are you serious? I swear. So you know when you don't get it, you're like, who got it? You looking like who got it? And then when I saw you, I was like, she's perfect. Like. Cause you know, sometimes you're like, man.
B
And it's so funny. Cause we're like the same type. Like, as we kicking it, it's like we are in the same.
A
But, baby, that was your role.
B
Same cloth.
A
Yeah.
B
Come from the same cloth.
A
It was so good.
B
That's crazy.
A
Yes. That was your role. And that's one of my favorite shows. You.
B
Thank you. I appreciate it.
A
Because I was sad when Lamar did that to our.
B
But, you know, Monique really died in real life.
A
No.
B
Yeah, she really died in real life before he moved to Atlanta. She died.
A
Oh, my goodness.
B
Yep. That was his first baby mama. And she passed away. Yeah. So I knew that that was gonna happen.
A
Yeah.
B
I just wanted to stay a little bit longer.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
Cause I was having a good time. And every time it aired, I was like, so excited because I didn't watch nothing until it aired.
A
Oh, that's good.
B
Yeah.
A
So you were surprised.
B
So I could be surprised. Plus not sitting there critiquing myself and just like, nervous and have anxiety and wanting to change stuff, and I can't. So everything was out of my control. So I was like, I'm just gonna let this fly.
A
Smart. Yeah. Yeah.
B
And I just watched it with the world.
A
I love it. And then I also love Dr. From Detroit that you were on. I was like, you better be your Acting bag. No, I did not. I didn't even know about that show. But I absolutely. I love Dr. Kilpatrick and Shannon, another one of my friends, he's on that show, too. And, John, there's a few people that I know on that show, but I love that. So when I saw you on there, too, I was like, you better be working then.
B
I like that role.
A
Yes.
B
Like, Monique was my girl, too. Cause Monique was a player. Like, you got these two men going crazy over you. I'm not mad at her at all. So I ain't mad at Monique, but it was like, you know, she was kind of wild a little bit. She had her little. But it was acting, and it was fun. But I like that I could go into being gang on doctor. I was like, yeah, no, you was that girl boss. Yeah, I love that.
A
Yeah.
B
So now I need to be in a movie where I'm shooting up something.
A
There you go.
B
Listen, I need to be shooting. I need. I need to be rolling around on the ground, right? Hiding on the cars. Like, I want. Do that.
A
Put it out there. It's gonna happen.
B
I want to do that. I want to do that, you know? And one time I want to. I want to be a crackhead.
A
Listen, I've actually auditioned for a character where I was a heroin addict. Girl, listen, the stuff that you auditioned.
B
For, and I'm not mad at that, because I be wanting to see the range.
A
The range, honey, and just have it fun.
B
I want to look crazy. I want people to see me in a different light and not just glammed up all the time and beautiful. Like, see me looking crazy.
A
Like.
B
That girl really can act.
A
Yes.
B
She's crazy.
A
Now, did you do, like, acting classes? How did you prepare for these roles?
B
I did an acting class with Tasha Smith.
A
Oh, I love Tasha.
B
I love her so much.
A
She's so good.
B
I did a couple classes with her, but other than that, I didn't do anything. But I'm about to do some more.
A
Okay. Got it. Amazing. Well, you body those roles.
B
Thank you.
A
That's amazing. I love you.
B
Yeah, I appreciate that.
A
What else is next for you?
B
Well, more acting.
A
More acting. Yes.
B
I'm getting back. I'm getting back to it in March, finishing the rest of this tour.
A
Yeah.
B
Really get into products and, like, different. Because I be wanting to sit at home, baby.
A
That's another thing. I want to sit at home. What can I do that can make money when I'm sleeping?
B
Sitting at home because I have to make money. So if it's between getting on the road and not making money, I'm getting on the road. It don't matter how tired I am, I'm going to get the money. But if I could sit down and make money, I'm doing it. So as soon as I find my niche, I'm going to take that and I'm running with it.
A
Yeah.
B
Because I could be at home with my kids. Just have me aware. I build me a warehouse or something on my land.
A
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Come on. Yeah.
B
Because I'm gonna get it. I'm gonna get a house again.
A
Right. I have kids, you have family.
B
Yeah.
A
It makes sense. You have to make it make sense. Yeah, Yeah.
B
I don't have it now, but eventually I will.
A
Yeah.
B
Feel me something or something, you know, Know. But in the next five years, by the time my son starts school and get into them activities.
A
Yes.
B
It's time for me. I'm going to them game.
A
Listen.
B
So I need to find my way without having to move around so much and make their life all complicated and stuff.
A
Yeah. So I love that. I love that. Through everything that you've been through in life, what is a moment or a point that pulled you closer to God to make you lean in on your faith? Hmm.
B
I feel like after I had both of my kids, for sure, kind of a switch.
A
It was like.
B
Yeah. Like even knowing that, you know, giving birth you could. That's high. That's a risk.
A
Listen, that is one of my greatest fears.
B
Yes, you could. That's life or death.
A
Yeah. And then you created life like you.
B
Create life in the process.
A
Yeah.
B
So it's like, you know, that just knowing that and, you know, overcoming and, you know, coming out on the positive side of things, it was like, I'm just grateful.
A
Yeah.
B
And I get closer to God and just knowing how he operates and having. And getting closer as being more intuitive with him. And he's showing me things and it's. And it's happening. And I'm like, wow, that was you. You told me that.
A
Yes.
B
And it's like, it just brings me closer because. Cause I know you're real, you know? Cause I mean, coming up, we don't know for sure.
A
We know what our parents tell us.
B
And once you start realizing that on your own and you living this thing called life and you seeing how it operates with him and is spiritual, you start to learn like, okay, I gotta get closer with him, you know? And I still feel like I can be closer.
A
Yeah. I feel like it's an ever evolving relationship.
B
Yeah.
A
Like almost Like a relationship.
B
It is to always. Yeah.
A
To keep evolving in and just. Yeah, I'm with you on that. And I feel like in this past year, I feel like every conversation I had with friends, at some point God comes up. Have you noticed? Because all the tension and everything that's going on, I feel like he's just pulling us closer and closer.
B
And I feel everything was going on in the world.
A
Girl. It's too much.
B
It's too much. It's like I was thinking about, like, I'm not about to drive to Memphis. I'm going to get on a plan. And I'm going on a plane. And this plane and flipped over, baby.
A
It's scary. Like, I don't think I prayed. It's always like, thank you, Lord, for letting us make you safe now. It's like heavenly. Like, I want to kneel down on the floor before we take off. Heavenly Father, please let us make it. Like, you're very intentional now. Like about, like, am I going to get there safely?
B
Because it's crazy. Because it's like. You know what's so crazy? I think that you can speak things into existence and also think it.
A
Oh, absolutely.
B
When you have that stuff on your brain all day and every day. And you don't want to have this on your brain all day because sometimes it happens when you just thinking about it and you manifest in this.
A
Yeah.
B
But it's like you can't help. When you get on the Internet, this.
A
Is all you see in your face. Like, I had to log out. It's like.
B
It's like, Let me just give this a break.
A
I had to start doing like a time limit on my social media, like on Instagram.
B
Okay.
A
Like two hour daily limit throughout the day. I can only be. And it'll say for two hours. Two hours? Yeah. Because it is. It's so much negativity.
B
You don't have to take that from me.
A
Yeah.
B
Cuz it'll be like I be moving around so much. Like when I do get a chance to get on there, I be in there in.
A
Oh, and stuck.
B
You be finding out all the new stuff.
A
Like, dang, they got here.
B
Oh, she pregnant. Oh, wow. Them boots fly right.
A
Let me.
B
Then you sending stuff now you buying.
A
It takes us so much time.
B
Yeah, it do. So I'm going take that.
A
Yes. I love that.
B
Give me a lemon a day.
A
Yep. Just a lemon. Yeah, just a cool solid. How do we set that up?
B
Jazz?
A
She said we will. We do something that's called positive outcomes and a lot of Times when women see us, they feel like we're exempt from heartache or even, you know what I'm saying, being taken advantage of.
B
I don't know why.
A
Because they look at us and like.
B
Who would ever think it's so perfect?
A
And like, who would ever cheat on you or who would ever break your.
B
Heart, Our heartbreaks and stuff. And make fun of it because they're like, oh, she got her heart broken too. It's like, I'm human, just like you.
A
Just like you. Yeah, we're not exempt. Yeah, but if you were, if there was a woman watching, what advice would you give her if she's going through.
B
Something like that, A heartbreak.
A
Yeah. Or even just feeling like she was taken for granted.
B
It's a light at the end of the tunnel. And trust the process. Because God do not play about his children. And that get back. The God get back. It's different for him to get back. So don't even try it. Don't even try it.
A
Yes.
B
Just let it be. Pray. Get in your bag.
A
Yes.
B
Put your energy into yourself and your bag and let God handle the rest. Cause the way he do his. Get back.
A
Baby, listen, I done seen it. It may be some years down the line, you be like, you did not forget about.
B
You did not forget about me. And you just be sitting there like, look how that unfolded. And by the time it unfolded, you are over it. So you not even living in the. No. You really feel bad for them.
A
Yes. Yeah.
B
You know, don't do nothing intentional. That's ill. That's so good. Have pure intentions at all times, you know, so that God can take care of you. Don't do nothing with ill intentions. Let him take care of it. Cause he do it the best, baby. He do it the best. I love God. I love him. Me too.
A
I love him. Thank. That's perfect advice to close out. I made a game, a little spin on cash commandments. Okay, so rapid fire. You just gonna answer this or that type of game. All right, first, cash commandment. Always get the bag or always check the contract first. Which one? Get the bag or check the contract?
B
Check the contract.
A
All right, first. More money or more respect?
B
More respect.
A
Big flex or low key wealth?
B
Low key wealthy.
A
Come on.
B
That's that real wealth right there.
A
It is. Invest in real estate or invest in yourself. Wow, that's a tough one. I know. That's a tough one.
B
Wow. You know why I'm gonna say invest in myself? Because the more you invest in yourself, you can invest in real estate.
A
Bam. I Love that. I'm saying that one. Yeah, I love that. Now you love your Birkin bags. So this is gonna be a tough one. Designer bags or property deals, Poverty, deeds. Come on.
B
All right, I'm gonna go there. I'm gonna.
A
Yeah.
B
Cause that's both. But that helps.
A
Get that. The deeds. Exactly. Come on. You ain't gotta sacrifice one for the other.
B
Right? I'll get both.
A
Right. All right. One has to go forever. We letting go of wigs or lashes. This is tough. Cause, Lord have mercy, I be looking.
B
For all my wigs. Oh, my God.
A
That's a tough one.
B
Wigs or lashes?
A
If you. Forever. Oh, my gosh.
B
Forever in life, ever. I probably say wigs just because we can still do bundles and quick weaves and stuff like that.
A
There we go.
B
Keep our lashes.
A
Yes. Because we are looking a little sleepy without.
B
Yeah, without my lashes.
A
I mean, bald. Oh, yeah. After I stopped getting those individuals, it was over with. I have no lashes.
B
You was an individual. See, I. You is my girl. Cause I was doing the same.
A
Yes. And I pulled them all out during.
B
COVID See, they doing clusters now.
A
Yes.
B
That might be good.
A
That may mean, like, less, and it.
B
Don'T take a lot of time.
A
Right. Do you like lash extensions? I've never done that.
B
I did it one time, and my eyes was bloodshot red, so I never did it again. Like pus coming out my eyes. So I only can do strips.
A
Oh, yes, I do now. Yeah. I only do strips because those. Well, the individuals, because they put them, like, more towards the skin. But it was, like, literally pulling my lashes out. It was so bad. Yeah.
B
Oh, yeah. Nah.
A
I say I like the bald. Let me ask you this.
B
Do lashes grow back?
A
Well, they have grown back since then, but it's not nowhere near what it was before I started getting them. Yeah.
B
I wish we were just using mascara.
A
Yeah.
B
There we go.
A
When I look back at pictures, pre, like, 2019, when everybody was getting the lash extensions, I had some beautiful lashes. With just mascara.
B
With just mascara.
A
Yeah.
B
Look at us. Doing too much.
A
You know what I'm saying?
B
Doing too much. Okay.
A
All right, back to it. Let's see. Late nights in the club or early mornings on a business call.
B
Early mornings on the business call. Because it gets the structure right.
A
Yes.
B
You gotta get. Okay. What I'm doing. What I'm doing.
A
Yeah, that's good. Spend a weekend. Ooh, it's hard. Spend a weekend with Beyonce or Rihanna.
B
That ain't really too hard.
A
Okay.
B
I say Rihanna.
A
Riri. Okay, perfect. If someone I Love B, though. Yeah, exactly. No, we love.
B
But it's like a weekend. I want to have a good. Well, B, probably a good time too.
A
Yeah. Especially like, I feel like behind closed doors, when she can just be herself.
B
She going to a real good time. I think she a good time.
A
Yeah.
B
It's a tie.
A
Okay. All right. We can do a tie. If someone disrespects you in public, are you clapping back or are you keeping it positive, sweetie?
B
See, it's a mixture. Cause I'm both. I'm both. I'm both, I'm both. It depends on how you disrespect me. See, like, it be things going on on the Internet right now that I don't say nothing about until you said something about my kid.
A
Uh. Oh, yeah.
B
So now it's on. The gloves are off, but I'm not about to tweet. I'm not about to make a video.
A
Yeah.
B
I'm gonna say something on stage or I'm gonna say it to where it makes sense for me.
A
Right.
B
You know, Because I ain't tolerate no disrespect.
A
Hello.
B
And especially about my kids.
A
Yeah, no, that's. I feel like there are certain lines that should not be crossed.
B
That shouldn't be crossed.
A
Yeah.
B
And once you do that, all bets.
A
Are off for sure. I'm with you on that.
B
Yeah.
A
If you could listen to. To only one artist forever besides yourself, who would it be?
B
Aaliyah.
A
Love that. Sneakers or heels?
B
Heels. Heels, baby.
A
You see the heels?
B
The boots. See the heels?
A
If a man wants to be in your life, he must bring what, loyalty or luxury?
B
Ll.
A
Both of them.
B
Both of them.
A
Your biggest ick. A man with bad credit or a man with no ambition?
B
No ambition.
A
That's good.
B
Cause credit. We can fix that. We'll figure it out, baby. We'll figure it out. But the no ambition. Like, how I'm gonna get you out.
A
That's tough.
B
How we gonna get you out the house? Like, you gotta have that. That is so disgusting.
A
No, I'm with you. Yeah. That's the biggest. It's one of my biggest turn offs.
B
Yeah.
A
Would you rather be swell with gifts or spoiled with time and attention? She said, girl, you asking me so hard. I want everything.
B
I want all of it.
A
When they ask me my favorite love language, I'm like, all of them. What are we talking about?
B
I can't answer that. Yeah. Cause I want love and attention, too. I love love and attention, but you gotta give me a gift.
A
You have to.
B
That make me so happy.
A
I Love it.
B
And I make. And we make our own money, so it's not like you're giving me something I can't get myself, but just.
A
And spoil him, too.
B
Like, I wanna buy you stuff. So buy me something. Don't make me feel like I'm the trick.
A
Hello?
B
Like I'm the trick or something. Buy me stuff so I can buy you stuff. And I don't feel. Bag, please.
A
As angel, please.
B
Ooh, you bought me something. Cool. I'm about to go get you something.
A
All right, last two or three. If he fumbles the bag, meaning you. Does he get a second chance or no? Have you. Have you spun the block? Cash.
B
It be over.
A
It be over.
B
Once it's over, it's over.
A
Well, sorry for you.
B
My week could be cool. Maybe.
A
Yeah.
B
I tried it, and it just didn't work.
A
Don't work. Yeah, it's almost a re. Like. And then you trust the reason why you originally broke this.
B
Why I originally broke up with. I mean, sometimes it haven't happened.
A
Okay, good.
B
Yeah. And it was successful? No.
A
Okay, I'm sorry. Broke but loyal. Or rich and slightly toxic.
B
You said slightly toxic or just toxic?
A
Slightly.
B
Like a little bit of toxic.
A
Just a little bit of toxic.
B
Like, how much toxic?
A
Just a little bit. Just enough. Enough to know, like, okay, he cared. Is toxic. Care, though, Like, I think. What are they?
B
What is toxic? Like a good time toxic or like cheating and stuff?
A
No, not cheating and stuff.
B
Oh, toxic and rich.
A
Okay.
B
I am rich. I can't deal with it. I can't.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, well, I'm not rich. I do good for myself. I don't even like saying that. But it's like, I do so good for myself. I just don't want somebody next to me that just can't even do for themselves. Like I could do for myself. And I feel bad doing myself. Cause I can't. Like, I just have to be myself.
A
Yeah.
B
And I can't be myself if I'm around someone that just don't have nothing. Like broke is broke.
A
Yeah. Yeah, Broke.
B
But you're loyal to me. I don't see broken. It's like, I don't even want nobody feeling comfortable being broken.
A
Yeah, that's where the ambition comes in.
B
Yeah. Like, I don't. No. Don't be broke around. No. Absolutely not. It's not gonna work. Don't do it. Do not aim this high.
A
All right, last question. We gonna get out of here. Your biggest turn on in a man. Power moves or a good sense of humor?
B
Both.
A
Yeah. I need you to make me laugh every time.
B
I don't care how fine you is, I better laugh. I wanna be laying in bed. That'll make him fine. That make him fine. I wanna be in the bed. Like how I'm too goofy because I'm goofy.
A
Yes.
B
And then you have to be making some power moves. Some moves.
A
It's inspiring.
B
Yeah.
A
Motivates you, too.
B
I want a man that inspire me, motivate me. We do a lot in life on our own, and it's like the person that you land with and giving yourself to, you want to be able to look at them. Like, wow. That's amazing.
A
Absolutely.
B
Yeah.
A
I love that. Cass, you've been amazing.
B
Thank you. No, I had a good time.
A
I had a good time with you.
B
You all right with me. I come kicking with you again.
A
Come on back. You are welcome anytime. I'm serious.
B
I'm coming back. But let me know when you get that condo out here, okay?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
We gonna go outside a little bit. Let's go hang out a little bit.
A
Let's do it.
B
I'm so mad at that.
A
Okay.
B
I love it.
A
Thank you so much.
B
No, thank you for having me.
A
Of course.
B
Yeah. I had a good time.
A
