Hello and welcome to this Halloween edition of Kennedy Saves the World. I've made a very special Halloween cocktail for my guest who is a magician and mentalist, recently here performed a wedding at Grand Central Station here in New York City. Chris Anthony is here. Chris, cheers to you with this sparkly black drink. Mmm. I hope you can see the sparkles. Not good.
A
Yeah, I need more.
B
I'm definitely going to put that on the roster.
A
That's good. What is that exactly?
B
It is. So I had already mixed blueberry vodka with blue curacao because I needed the blue to make it purpley black. Then I put in some grenadine, then some Kahlua.
A
Nice.
B
Nice to make it like nice and dark brown vodka. And I topped it off with dyed Dr. Pepper. But that is so good. Oh, my garden. And it doesn't matter the ratio. This is one of those drinks where if you have blue Curacao and blueberry vodka if you want. I just happened to premix it to get rid of bottles in my office because the cleaning staff, I think, was raising a few questions with HR and so that grenadine, Kahlua, vodka, diet Dr. Pepper and some edible glitter is in there. So there's some sparkly sparkles in this spooky sparkler cocktail. Mm.
A
Oh, delightful. Edibles in the drink.
B
Normally we associate edible glitter with strippers, but we will only have mentalizing and magic here today.
A
We're gonna do no stripping, sir. Nobody wants to see that. Not.
B
Not today, Satan. So tell me what you have. What. What have you brought?
A
I'm gonna do a few things for you. Let's start with. Let's, I guess the. The normal old. Pick a card.
B
Okay.
A
All right, we gotta start basic.
B
All right. Very good.
A
So. All right. Take any card.
B
Okay.
A
Are you good with that one? You'd like to change it?
B
No.
A
Good. All right. Say stop. Anytime.
B
Stop.
A
That was quick. Put it right there.
B
Okay.
A
And I'm not gonna look, but I'm gonna mix it up. Give us a really good mix.
B
I'm always amazed. The dexterity in card magic. Oh, look at that.
A
Just a little mix. Kind of like you would at home, you know?
B
Sure. Yeah. I wish I could. I wish I could do those things.
A
Now just in case.
B
I think that takes a lot of practice. Like years of it really does. Why do I look like Gilbert Grape? And. And you look like a brain surgeon.
A
Well, if you've been doing this for this long, you'll be doing it like that too.
B
Yeah. Chris Anthony.
A
I always say any 10 year old could do this with 20 years of practice. Makes sense. Now, just in case that wasn't enough, I'm going to mix the cards in a way that you should never mix a deck of cards. I want to take some face up, mix them with some face down. Well, some more face up, some more face down, some backwards, forwards, upside down, face to face, back to back. Pretty much making a complete mess. Have you ever mixed horse like that?
B
I've never.
A
Dropping them on the floor. Good thing. 52 pickup. I learned how to play that the hard way. Yeah, yeah. Look somebody.
B
You have older brothers too, huh?
A
I actually, I'm an only child, so. Yeah, you can have mine this way, that way. I don't know if I want them anymore. You know, I used to think only child was good. But hey, look, I'm going to. I'm going to take us on a magic journey back in time. Yes, but only one minute. Because we went one minute back in time. We get to that spot right before I mixed up the cards, then they'd all be facing the same way. I'm going to use the four of hearts to do that. That wasn't your card though, was it?
B
No, it was not.
A
I'd like you to take the four of hearts for me. And if you could just wave it over the cards just like I'm doing.
B
Okay. Waving, waving, waving.
A
Oh, that's pretty. You've done that before.
B
Well, no, that's not that specific move. That was. That's the first time.
A
Maybe it's the alcohol because I felt the magic, I felt the energy. Because look, if we did go one minute back in time, then each and every card would now be facing the same way. Wow.
B
I wasn't watching our hands to see if you were.
A
Why? Didn't do anything.
B
Switching things.
A
That was all you.
B
Okay.
A
And it gets better than that. Because think about it. If we did go one minute back in time and it really happened, not only would every card be facing the same way, if we went one minute back in time one minute ago, you wouldn't be holding that four of hearts anymore.
B
Yes.
A
One minute back in time. You'd be holding your card.
B
Yes.
A
Turn that over, take a look at it.
B
That's my card. You didn't even know that. It's a jack of clubs. Wow, that is so cool.
A
Thank you. Thank you.
B
Dang fool.
A
Hey, look. Let's try something with two cards. Two cards only. Okay. I have a 10 of hearts. Can you hold it?
B
Sure.
A
Awesome. And I have a queen of spades. I want to give the Queen, a little bend. Okay. A lot. I'm gonna give it a big bend. Yeah, that's big. Ben, I like.
B
She's never gonna go back.
A
That's what we do. This is true. I'm gonna take the 10. I'm gonna bend the 10 in the opposite direction. So we have one car bend lengthwise, one bend widthwise. I'm gonna put one card on the inside of the other.
B
Okay.
A
And if I open the cards up, notice how the backs are on the inside and the faces are on the inside already on the outside, I want to flip that around. I want the backs to be in the outside faces to begin the inside, just like that.
B
Okay.
A
Is that fair?
B
Yeah, that's fair.
A
You know what you do when you do that?
B
What do you do?
A
You confuse the cards. Oh. Because see this card here? If I push that card through, see how it starts to come out the other side? Yes. See, the crazy thing is the card will actually flip over. See?
B
Sorcery.
A
And if you go all the way through, look, the whole card will turn face up.
B
Wow.
A
Now, if we go back with it, can you hold up your right index finger for me?
B
Yes.
A
Perfect.
B
I don't believe it.
A
And again, the whole car, it turns face down. What? And as many times as you go back and forth through, the middle keeps flipping over. If you stop right there in the center, look half face up, half face down.
B
He's not wearing a thumb tip.
A
This is true. No thumb tips. Now, if I pull it out this way, obviously it's going to turn face up. It's. If I pull it out that way, it's going to turn face down. I'm going to leave it right there in the center.
B
Okay.
A
So I can't do anything tricky to it. And if I tear it down the center while it's still in that condition, half face up and half face down, it'll stay in that condition. Half face up and half face down. Okay. And there you are. Wow. And you could examine it, pick it up, make sure it's absolutely the same card.
B
It appears to be. Yes. There you go. Little bicycles.
A
Actually, give me one half back. Perfect. I want you to take that half, just bend it back and forth a little bit and tear it right down the center. Okay, good. So we have one, we have two, we have three, four. Four pieces of the queen of spades. Now, are you left handed or right handed?
B
I'm right handed, like most of the planet.
A
Perfect. Hold out your right hand. I'm gonna put the four pieces in your hand. Holding a Tight fist right there. Now you have a good grip on it. There's no way I can take them out.
B
No, you can't take them out. I can feel them.
A
Watch this. Bring your hand over a little bit closer. Just like that. And it's done. Okay. Did you feel anything happen?
B
No.
A
No. Should I have? Slowly, maybe. Okay, slowly open your hand. Take a look at those pieces.
B
How can that be? I love it.
A
There you go.
B
Stop it. So tell me about this wedding you performed at Grand Central, and I was an amazing wedding.
A
Okay, first of all, I love Grand Central, so.
B
Me, too.
A
It was great to be a part of it.
B
Yes.
A
And it was huge. There's like 340 people, and it was the first time they've had a wedding in Grand Central station in over 15 years.
B
Really? Oh, I love that. Was it beautiful?
A
It was. It was amazing. Yeah, it was amazing. Then from there, they went over to Cipriani's.
B
Yeah.
A
And I mean, you can't get a better venue than that.
B
No, I was there recently for a law enforcement fundraiser, and it was unbelievable.
A
Yes.
B
So beautiful. You look around and you're like, we don't build stuff like that now.
A
Absolutely. I agree. I say it all the time walking around Manhattan.
B
Yeah.
A
Look at the old buildings, and now everything's glass.
B
Are you from here?
A
I am, yeah. I am born and raised in a city.
B
Because I thought I heard a Nebraska accent.
A
Yeah, I know. I get that all the time. You must be from down south. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
That's funny. All right.
B
What are these giant cards?
A
Oh, those giant cards. We're going to get to that in a second. Okay. But, you know, being that we're. We're. We're having a drink.
B
Yes.
A
It's happy hour.
B
It is happy hour.
A
Try something with drinks. Okay, what I'm going to do is I want you to give me a number between 1 and 100. Okay. Now, I'm going to tell you before you do, I'm going to tell you that a lot of people give me the same number. They give me seven for lucky seven, 21 for blackjack. I don't want this to be something where you think back upon it later and you think, you know, everybody thinks of that same number, so it's probably common. So if there's a number that has some kind of special meaning to you. Okay. A significant number, use that number. Okay. When you're ready, you can say it out loud.
B
Thirteen.
A
Thirteen. Perfect. Now, before we go any further, you want to change your mind. Are you good with 13? Okay, here look, right here in my notes, I have a list of beverages, okay? There's 100 different beverages. If you start, you have Pepsi, you have Henrik's. You could go on and on. Jack Daniels. You can look through. Look through the list yourself. Okay? You see all of them. And what number did you say?
B
13.
A
You said 13. There should be a drink that's on number 13. Correct.
B
Bailey's.
A
Bailey's. That's a good drink.
B
Yeah.
A
I'm going to tell you. A couple of days ago, I made a prediction. Prediction. Okay. And I was so sure of this prediction that I actually printed the prediction out. And then I had it laminated. Then I brought it with me today, and it's right there on the table. Okay. I don't want to touch it. Can you turn that over for me? Sure.
B
Oh, look at that.
A
Come on.
B
Now. Is this something that you can change with your mind? Like, if I had 43.
A
Yes. I'm gonna just change that with my mind.
B
That's unreal.
A
Thank you.
B
Stop it. Look, it's Bailey's. That was number 13.
A
You wouldn't have a dollar bill on you?
B
No, that's right.
A
I brought one because I figured that. Just make sure. Make sure it's a regular bill.
B
Okay. All right. There's a little owl on there.
A
Oh, yeah, yeah. The owl up in the corner. Yep. You believe in conspiracies, too?
B
Yes, I do.
A
Good. That's very awesome. Yeah. Keep your eye on the dollar. I'm gonna fold it in half. I'm gonna fold it again.
B
Okay.
A
Fold it once more.
B
A lot of folding.
A
Yep. Make sure it never leaves your sight at any time. And then I'm gonna open it up.
B
Okay.
A
Now, I'm gonna tell you, when I open it, you'll notice that the dollar will start to change. Oh, just a little bit at first. Okay. But then a little bit more. Whoa.
B
Stop it. It's all totally inside out, but it feels the same. It feels like a dollar.
A
It is. The only difference now is you have four quarters.
B
But how.
A
And now you know what to look for. Let's see. Okay. Once, twice, three times.
B
Three times a lady.
A
You sing it, because I can't.
B
Wow.
A
There you are.
B
And it's back in action. Dang. Could you have done that with my dollar if I had given you a dollar?
A
Yes. I did that in a hallway with. With John Styler.
B
Oh, my gosh.
A
Now, a lot of people ask me, they said, when you do this, what is this? Is it a trick?
B
Yeah.
A
Or is it an illusion? I'm Going to show you the difference.
B
Okay.
A
First of all, every dollar has two signatures on it. One is the Secretary of Treasury. You can look at the Secretary of Treasury. Yes. Who's on that one? I believe it's.
B
That is Janet Yellen.
A
Janet Yellen. Fun.
B
Janet Yellen.
A
Perfect.
B
Hello, I'm Secretary Treasury Janet Yarn.
A
Oh, that's good.
B
I do not like to open my mouth very much.
A
Nice impersonations, too. I love it.
B
Sure. Whenever you need.
A
First, I'll do the trick. If we fold it down, open it up.
B
Okay.
A
Right.
B
Yeah.
A
You notice that's upside down? That's a trick. That's not too important. You know what? When I put that marker. Let's do this. I want you to just put your initials on there for me.
B
Okay? Okay.
A
I have a. A second dollar.
B
Okay.
A
I'm gonna do something with both dollars.
B
Okay. Dollars to donuts.
A
So I'm gonna fold this in half. Fold this in half. Put one on top of the other. Okay. See how it's kind of crisscross? Remember that the dollar you signed is on the left. The other one's on the right. I'm gonna flip it around like that. That's where it gets tricky. And give me two fingers.
B
Two fingers.
A
Hold on to that.
B
Okay.
A
Okay.
B
Holding.
A
We need a quick drink.
B
Yep. Okay. There we go. To dollars.
A
To dollars. Perfect.
B
You can't even taste the alcohol in that. There's a lot of alcohol in there. Don't tell anyone.
A
Is that why I'm sideways? I think so. I'm gonna take the top dollar, fold it over the bottom dollar. See this piece here? I'm gonna fold that down in. Open that up. Open that up as well. And there you are.
B
Where'd my signature go? Or my initials?
A
It's not on there. That's what people always ask me. Where's the other dollar?
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah, it could go anywhere. You know, I figure since it's happy hour, having drinks, maybe it would go under.
B
Okay, let me see. Ding, ding, ding, ding. That is me. I wrote that.
A
And you know what? That's still. That's still a trick. That's still not the illusion.
B
Don't go anywhere more. Kennedy Saves the World, right after this.
A
It'S Will Kane Country Watch it live at noon Eastern Monday through Thursday@fox news.com or on the Fox News YouTube channel. And don't miss the show. Listen and follow the podcast five days a week at Fox newspodcasts.com or wherever you download your favorite podcasts. Now, remember, I could have used your dollar, but you Totally inspect. I don't have.
B
I don't have any dollars to give you.
A
But you did totally inspect the dollar, right? You even signed it?
B
Yes.
A
All right. And then we looked at the Secretary of Treasury's signature.
B
Jenny Yellen, first of all, make sure. Make sure you protect your dollars.
A
Make sure there's.
B
Okay. Especially no thumb tips.
A
Watch this. I'm going to bring this close. I'm going to give that signature a little bit of a rub.
B
Okay.
A
And if it works, it should start to change.
B
How did you do that? That's unreal. The signature, you can't really see it, but now it reads, kennedy saves the world.
A
There you are.
B
That is awesome. And it looks like Janet Yellen's little script. I didn't sign it. Kennedy saves the World. I didn't do it. Don't throw me in prison, please.
A
Janet Yellen is a fellow friends.
B
That's amazing.
A
Thank you. Thank you. How magic. That's all I can say.
B
Exactly right. Exactly right. I believe in magic.
A
Let's have you choose a card. I want this to be totally fair, so I'm going to spread them out just like that. Okay. When you're ready, take out one card, any card you like. Put it face up, right in the middle of the table. Oh.
B
Seven of hearts. Face up.
A
Now, are you happy with that card?
B
I'm happy. Yeah.
A
All right, good. I'm going to get rid of these now. While we're doing that, I.
B
Are you good at cards? Like in Vegas?
A
No. No. I wish I was.
B
Yeah?
A
Yes. What I did while we were doing it, while you were choosing, I just put a deck of cards next to you. It's a red deck. Obviously, it's not the. From the deck we were using. Okay. But there is something special about it, and I'm going to show you what that is. First of all, it's a regular deck. All 52 cards are there. Okay. What I'm going to do is I'm going to take out the one card from my deck that matches your choice.
B
Okay.
A
Which. That's a seven of that. There you go. Seven of hearts. Perfect. I'll leave this right here next to you. So we know it's from this deck.
B
Yep. From the red deck.
A
From the red deck. Now, what's special about this deck is the fact that I've given every card in this entire deck a name. See, if you look closely, you'll notice the name of that card is Jessica. Okay. All right. The name of that card is Greg. All right. The name of the card is Claire. And we have Ian and Meredith and Dan and on and on. Cassie and Seth and Benny. You could have chose any card you wanted. Okay, Right. Robert and Brooke, Jean, Paul, Mike. We took the you one card that you chose to put in the middle of the table. Right. Christine McCoy. Roxan. On and on.
B
The real McCoy is in there.
A
McCoy. I've met two people named McCoy this year.
B
Is that true?
A
I swear to God.
B
How old are they? Like 12.
A
Was in his 30s. The other one was probably in his 50s.
B
Okay.
A
Yep.
B
Wow. And that was not their last name.
A
And that was not their last name. That was their first names. So I took the one card from my deck that matched your choice and I put it right there. It's been there the whole time. I don't want to touch it. Take that and turn it over.
B
It says Kennedy. How is that possible?
A
Come on.
B
Did the card speak to me? Was it like, pick me, pick me out of all of these cards. Adopt me, take me from the the card orphanage, Give me a home. That is unbelievable.
A
Thank you.
B
Stop. Wasn't Meredith. It wasn't Ian or Cookie.
A
Could have been any of those. Or Brooke. Could have been McCoy.
B
Could have been McCoy. It is Kennedalia.
A
Okay, Now I'm going to tell you something about a deck of cards that you might not know.
B
Okay.
A
A deck of cards are actually based on a calendar. Did you know that?
B
I did not, no.
A
And neither did I. I've been dealing with playing cards for many years, but I'm doing some research on the history of playing cards and I found that out. And if you think about it, makes perfect sense because first of all, there's 52 cards in a deck representing the 52 weeks in a year.
B
Yes.
A
And it goes further than that. There's 12 pitch cards in the deck represented the 12 months in a year.
B
Interesting.
A
Yep. There's also four suits in the deck representing the four season, winter and fall.
B
Yeah.
A
Hearts, diamond, spades and clubs. There's 13 suits, or the 13 cards in each suit representing the 13 lunar cycles in a year.
B
Wow.
A
The red cards in the deck represent the daytime. The black cards represent the nighttime. And this is the best part. If you add up every card in the deck by its face value, with Jack being 11, Queen being 12, and King being 13, it adds up to 364. I had to try this to make sure.
B
Wow.
A
The.
B
So aces won.
A
Joker. Yes. Aces one. You're doing the joker. You have the exact amount of days in the year. Second joker was added years later. Philippe Year.
B
Believe it or not, I believe it.
A
Now, when I found out about that, I had to try something with that. So I took seven decks of cards, which would add up to that number, and I shuffled them. I shuffled them till I had one huge deck of cards, and I bought a pocket calendar. I turned to the first date, January 1, turned over the first card. I wrote the name on a card on January 1, turned over the second card. I wrote that on January 2. I continued to do that till I filled the entire calendar. Okay. I want you to give me a date that means something special to you.
B
Okay.
A
So it could be somebody's birthday or an anniversary. Nothing that I could have known or looked up or anything like that. Okay. All right. When you're ready, you can say it out loud. I don't need the year, just the day, the month. And the day is good.
B
Okay. November 14th.
A
November 14th. And what's the significance?
B
It's my mom's birthday. Mom's birthday.
A
Awesome. Awesome. In my. In my calendar, I want you to turn to your mom's birthday, okay. And as you're going through, you'll notice that there's a playing card on every day of the year.
B
Okay.
A
And there should be a playing card on your mom's birthday, correct?
B
Yes.
A
What card is that?
B
Five of diamonds.
A
The five of diamonds. Now, let's say she was born the day before, which could have. Could have happened. Right. What would that be?
B
Nine of hearts.
A
The nine of hearts. So she was born the day after.
B
Ace of diamonds.
A
You see, they're all different. Yeah, but on her birthday. What was it again?
B
Five of diamonds.
A
Five of diamonds. Underneath the back flap, you'll notice that there's an envelope there. One envelope. Make sure there's nothing else in there. Now, there's no way I could have known your mom's birthday. No. And even if I did, you could have said something.
B
Yeah, but I was thinking about different dates. Like, as you were saying that, I'm like, should I do one of my daughters? Should I do my dog's birthday, which happens to be November 13th?
A
So.
B
But I was like, no, I'll do my mom's birthday. Perfect.
A
And you see, November 13th would have been different.
B
Yeah.
A
There was one card that landed on her birthday. What card was that?
B
5 of diamonds.
A
Look at this. And look inside here for me. Make sure there's nothing.
B
There's nothing in there.
A
All right.
B
How is this happening? Look at that.
A
That's wild.
B
I've never seen anything like that. I love this.
A
Thank you. Have you ever. You ever Hear of Three Card Monty?
B
Yes.
A
Yes. Perfect. Because we're gonna play that game now. Okay. Now, for anybody else, if they've ever heard of Three Card Monty, it's not a game at all. It's a scam.
B
Yeah.
A
It's a flip flam. It's a hustle.
B
If you see this being played on the streets of New York. Yeah.
A
Yeah. Walk away quick.
B
You're gonna lose your money.
A
Yes, exactly. Unless you play this today.
B
Yeah.
A
Because today you can't lose.
B
Oh, exciting.
A
Yeah. I'll show you how that works. We're gonna play a giant game of Three Card Monty. And the way the game is, never.
B
Play Three Card Monty with a mentalist.
A
This is true. This is true. It's played with three cards. There's two black tens. Those are the losing cards. And the queen is in the middle. The queen is the money card.
B
Yeah.
A
That's the card you want to find. The cards are turned face down. They're mixed up, and you have to find a queen. I'm gonna make it so easy for you to win today.
B
Okay.
A
That's all the mix that I'm gonna do.
B
Okay.
A
So if we were betting and we're not, and if you notice, just to make it even simpler for you.
B
Yep.
A
The queen is the only one with a little bit of a different color back.
B
Yeah.
A
So if we were looking for the queen, where would you say the queen is?
B
The dark red card in the middle.
A
Makes sense. Makes sense. And even if you try to choose one of these, I wouldn't let you, because, again, these are losing cards. There's no way I would allow you to lose. So when you make the right choice, like you just did now, and you choose a queen, and I'm not talking about the queen of diamonds. I'm talking about the queen of Kennedy Saves the World.
B
Nice.
A
And you choose Kennedy, you win. Stop it right now.
B
That's me. I can't even believe that. That is so cool. How do you do that? And it's the dark red card. What is happening here? Have you seen things? You have to tell me. I'm sitting here right next to Chris Anthony, and I have seen nothing. No changes. I'm looking for things. I feel like I have a trained eye. This is phenomenal. You are awesome, amazing, rad, and extraordinary. Where can people go see you?
A
They could go see me. Well, they could hire me to appear at their events.
B
Yes.
A
So I.
B
Including weddings.
A
Including weddings, yes. Corporate events and adult birthday parties and sweet sixteens and bar mitzvahs and Christmas and marriage proposals. So anywhere that anyone will pay me to be, I will be there.
B
That is so sweet. I love it. And you'll make an even bigger diamond appear?
A
Yes, absolutely.
B
Chris Anthony, you are awesome. Do you have a website?
A
Yes.
B
Chris Anthony magic.com Chrisanthonymagic.com It's Chris with a C. Thank you for being here.
A
It was a pleasure to be here.
B
This Halloween happy hour has been phenomenal.
A
Awesome.
